.I really wanted to love this place. For food, 4 stars, but service was very lacking. We were seated immediately and initially had a lot of attention, with fresh brioche and cheddar rolls, water, an explanation of the menu. However, after that, everything kind of fell off. As for the wine list, there were only a few Bourdeax selections. For the nicer wines, the mark up was actually very reasonable. We went with the 2009 Chateau Haut Beausejour, which was pretty smooth and light. The first courses were done very nicely: 1. Tomato bisque: thick, with a mini grilled cheese, slightly tart, not too creamy 2. Taco trio: with lobster salad, scallop ceviche, and ahi tuna tartare. The lobster salad was a little creamier than I like, but the scallop ceviche had just the right amount of acidity, and the ahi tuna had a nice soy marinade. 3. French onion soup: served in a cast iron pot, so it stays nice and warm. It WOULD HAVE been nice if it had actually arrived with the other appetizers, rather than with the main courses. The soup was sweet, a little under seasoned for my taste, but the crouton was burnt and lacked sufficient cheese. For entrees: 1. They were able to do a nice vegetarian pasta for my mom (tons of pasta, tomato based sauce, $26). 2. Pork chop: tender, on the bone, decent flavor, the sauces make the dish. 3. Filet: the 10 oz was a good size, perfectly nearly rare in the middle, seasoned nicely, very tender. ** The sauces were served on the side, and I liked being able to pick and choose among the sauces. My favorites were the sweet mustard and a soy sauce based sauce. The chimicurrhi and the bourbon jus were lighter, and they didn't stand up to the meats as well. The horseradish cream and yuzu butter were a little too rich for the already heavier meats. 4. Had to get a side of foie gras, since we can't get it in California anymore. Theirs is unadorned, seared, slightly seasoned, just ok.. meant to be pure, I guess. We were too full for dessert. Our server was going to bring us the check, but someone else brought us dessert menus anyway - lack of communication? We also were left to pour ourselves the wine out of the bottle, and my water glass was left empty much of the time. For the Four Seasons, I would have expected better service. Our server was always pleasant, but he was occupied by some larger parties on the other side most of the night. It's really a shame because the food was solid, but the rest of the experience was hard to get past.

As would be expected of the Four Seasons, this is one of the best restaurants you could imagine. We had the bass, which was fantastic. If you order dessert, get the cheesecake lollipops. It sounds weird but is outstanding. You get three huge pieces of cheesecake on a stick, dipped in different types of chocolate, with three different dipping sauces. Enough for two people. Extremely expensive though.

This place is great - breakfast or dinner. I had breakfast and dinner there. Given how they performed on those two meals, I'm confident lunch is no less. For dinner I had the Kobe iron cut - all the way baby no need for sauces! The restaurant provided a bunch of sauces to put on the meat and recommended a great wine pair for the steak. The service was phenomenal - the waitstaff knowledgeable and even met the chef (slow night) It's the Four Seasons at it's best. Normally, I'm more of a get the food right and then I'll grade the service followed by the atmosphere. They hit all three of my priorities in the right order. For that reason I'm going 5 star. Perfect meals morning and evening.

We had the dry aged bison alongside some lobster mashed potatoes and it was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the potatoes were perfect. Wine selection is great. And to top it off, the desserts were the perfect way to end a long day of skiing. Even if you're not staying at the Four Seasons, this is a must visit spot if you're in Vail.

Go here. Now. My boyfriend set up a reservation with them for the night of our engagement as a celebration dinner. When we told the hostess we had a reservation, she smiled and welcomed us, took our coats and sat us. We were then bombarded with congratulations. The sommelier brought us two glasses of his favorite champagne to celebrate. The service was outstanding! As we were leaving our delicious meal (1800* broiler steaks! YUM), the hostess gave us the cork from the champagne we had! I work in the service industry, so I can be critical of restaurants, but Flame was outstanding. To top this off, we wrote the president with our great experience. Within 2 hours, we received a heartfelt thank you and congratulations from him. A week later, we received yet another well-composed congratulations and thank you from the restaurant owner. I will do everything I can to support this business, and recommend them to everyone I know. Our special night was made even more special by the incredible service at Flame.

What an amazing place! The menu is perfectly balanced for the winter season. I had the Chanterelle Mushroom Toast followed by the 8 hour roasted Short Prime Rib. No need for a knife as the meat is so soft and tender yet full of flavor that it falls off the bone. Kudos to Chef Jason Harrison and manager Steve Teaver for the great service and incredible food. Four Seasons once again raises the bar and now the Vail Valley is better because of it!!!

If perfection was a restaurant it would be Flame! Chef Jason was stole from the Bellagio in Vegas in order to work for this wonderful restaurant. Featured on Iron Chef, Jason is a master at his craft. He brought is skilled sous chefs with him and has created a truly inspired menu of hearty winter dishes. A wonderful selection of game and beef steaks accompanied by family style sides. The menu also has a great selection of seafood from scallops to butter poached lobster! The best part about the restaurant is its HUGE selection of wines and wines by the glass. Something like 40 available wines by the glass is unheard of! The kitchen can accommodate any dietary restrictions out of the blue, or call in and let them know and they can create something special for you! Please please please save room for the bananas foster dessert! AMAZING! Now you might think that because this restaurant will be super expensive because its nestled in the Four Seasons Vail Resort, but if you eat smart you can get a 2 course meal for two people for under $80, not bad for the quality of the food and the polished service! I want to quickly talk about the restaurants decor, the huge vaulted ceilings, and the floor to ceiling windows really give the best view of the mountain you could ask for! Since parking is an issue in Vail, get your car valeted and then get it validated by the hostess and its free!

The first time i ate here with my girlfriend i would say it was almost a 5 star experience. The service was good (the restaurant was empty) and the food was great! Mushroom soup was amazing. Steak was good. Not cheap. The second time I ate here with a group of people it was closer to a 3 - 4 star meal. The service was great but the food was just ok. I had the beef wagyu which was just ok. I'll go back again Im sure but not my first choice.

We had lunch here today and it has to rate as one of the worst places we've eaten at. Given that this place is in the four seasons, I expected much more. Service - there were hardly 2 other tables that were occupied as we had a late lunch. The waitress didn't offer much information in terms of the menu, didn't come to fill our water glasses or to see if we ever wanted anything. Even the check took forever as she just left it on the table without asking if we wanted anything else. Food - I had the flame burger and it might as well have been a McDonald's burger. I was never given any ketchup or mustard either although I'm not sure it would've done any good. Kids meal - my kids ordered Mac n cheese and it looked like something that came from a box. So disappointed. Will definitely not be going here again nor recommending to anyone.

Another example of a mediocre restaurant in a high-end hotel. The server provided a pretentious review of the menu (I don't need to be told it's an a la carte menu when prices appear alongside each item). The salad was ordinary, the lamb chops were neither aged nor tender and the trout was prepared with so many lemon slices that they destroyed the taste of the fish. Vail has many other interesting stand-alone restaurants that offer great food at better prices.

This place is most definitely the one of the best restaurants in all of Vail. Great food, great people, great ambiance. The hotel has a nice cozy feel with some welcoming music. Everone says "Hello" and smiles at you when they see you. At the restaurant, I had the Veal chops, which was served a la carte with mushrooms and a confit shallot. The veal, was absolutely amazing, whoever was stading behind that super hot broiler obviously knows his stuff. The sides range from recognizeable steakhouse items to ones that where relatively new and totally blew my mind. We had Haricot Vert with Crispy Pancetta and Comte Fritters. The Haricot Vert's natural sweetness was nicely preserved and the pancetta added an additional crunch texture and a touch of saltiness for a very nice contrast. The Comte Fritters were special for me. Truffles and cheese and ohh soo hot and gooey, I was in heaven. Last but not least, the Tomato Burrata salad. I had this before the super sexy meat and sides. They had cut down tomatoes into really nice cubes and garnished it with burrata cheese, basil pesto, and candied kumquats. It sounded wierd, especially for the candied anything... But you know what, it was insanely good. It also had basil oil and balsamic drizzed over it. Very nice looking dish. Overall, the place is worth it, and the price reflects it. So if you're reading this, save up, if you need to, and GO. Just GO there and eat the food. Enjoy the service, since the servers were suprisingly knowledgeable and nice and the hotel made you feel at home.

WORST SERVICE EVER! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! The slowest service I've ever experienced in my life. We were at our table for almost 4 hours. It took 30 minutes for us just to get our first round of drinks. The restaurant was empty, so I cannot imagine how slow the service would be if it was crowded. We ordered the 32 oz. Dr Aged Wagyu Ribeye and the 40oz Big T Porterhouse as entrees. Both steaks were undercooked and much smaller than the menu advertised. These were the smallest steaks for 2 that I've ever seen in any steakhouse. At $110 for the Ribeye and $125 for the Porterhouse, one would assume that you be able to split with a friend as the menu suggests. However, my friend and I both left hungry! After complaining to the manager, all he did was make excuses and tell me that he verified the weight of the steaks. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Go to Elway's or Ore House if you want a steak dinner in Vail!

I had dinner at Flame last night. There was barely anybody in the restaurant and our service was less than mediocre. Our server was friendly but seemed to be distracted by something else he besides serving his customers. We started off with a bottle of red... It was good. About a glass in our server came back to see if we knew what we wanted to eat. We ordered the wedge salad to split and the Salmon tartar to go with. He completely forgot the app. After we had finished our salad, the salmon app came out. We scarfed that down and waited, again, for our filet mignon. About 15 minutes later our filet arrived, pre-cut, and on an extremely hot plate. The steak had clearly been sitting under a warm light for a while. There was no juice or evidence of it being on the grill at any recent time. The steak tasted good and was cooked medium rare just how we like but we were confused why we waited so long when it was clearly just sitting under the warming light. Plus it was $50 bucks for a 10 oz. filet. Mediocre service in combination with over priced food - we won't be going back.

The food was excellent--well prepared and presented by an attentive and professional wait staff. The lobster bisque was excellent, and the strip steak was the best I've ever had. It was prepared just the way I ordered it, and it was a high quality steak with very little waste. The surroundings were elegant and comfortable. A wonderful dining experience.

after being disappointed over and over again with Vail's fine dining, Flame steakhouse was no different. The server was nice, the food was not. the waygu steak was cooked wrong twice, once overcooked, then once way undercooked. I would assume medium rare is hard to mess up at a fine dining steakhouse, i assumed wrong.

Brussels sprouts were the best!! Bone in Bison Bone in ribeye was pretty awesome! The sauces, get all of them! Good to choose from! Cobia fish filet wasn't the best fish I've had but was good w the coconut and pineapples! Get the Brussels sprouts!

This was a fantastic restaurant. Although it was pricey, the portion sizes were appropriate. Here's my breakdown .... We were greeting very nicely by the hostess. She took out coats & showed us to our seats. The wine selection is high end selection. They didn't have what like, such as a white merlot or a blush. We selected a very nice Riesling. The wait staff were very friendly & knowledgeable. They anticipated everything that we needed. The meat was cooked to perfection. The dessert menu was small but the cheesecake was outstanding. I'd love to come back again.

I've had few disappointing meals in Vail, but this one stands out. The premise of Flame is fresh dry aged steaks made tasty with an assortment of sauces. And herein lies the problem. A well-cooked well-rubbed steak shouldn't rely on sauces! We had the bison ribeye and the lamb chops, and filet mignon, and they were tender as expected with dry aged meats, but somehow the meats were robbed of all flavor. Their mediocre specialty sauces couldn't make up for it either. Maybe it was the lack of marination/rub, since they give an option of rubs, but our waiter recommended against the rubs. Overall, it was very mediocre taste for a high priced meal. The best tasting part of the meal was the kids' menu banana splits which at least let us end the meal on a more flavorful note. Also, as some other reviewers have mentioned, service is painfully slow with a confusing tag team of servers waiting our table.

Very disappointing. The restaurant is beautiful and looks like a good New York steakhouse. We were seated at 7 PM And did not get our main course until 8:30. The steak was very disappointing. For $50, I expect more than a 1/2 inch thick steak. Nor was it black and blue like I asked. Expensive and overrated. It is not Del Frisco's, and you can do much better in Vail. This is a great place only about a mile outside of Vail Mountain. I went out with the buddies. We all split a little of everything, nothing disappoints of all the different meats. One got Wagyu Flat Iron (10oz absolutely we'll cooked and had some great seasoning), I got the 10oz Filet Mignon which was perfect. My other buddy got the 16oz Bone in Ribeye. Everything was great on the meat side an for appetizers we got truffle fries which came with tons of sauces (for the meats too). This was all great. And last but not least for the amazing desserts, we got Maple Bacon Doughnuts and Flame's signature hot chocolate. Overall great food. Five stars. If you are in Vail, try Flame.

Great experience and great food. We opened with martinis and split the candied yams and duck confit to start. The dish was presented beautifully and tasted even better. Our filets were cooked to perfection. Waiter was very helpful and walked us through the steak "sauces". I was initially apprehensive, but they are worth trying, especially the black-pepper sauce. We shared the corn and the duck-fat fries for sides. The room itself is large, but feels cozy. Tables aren't packed together tightly. The soundtrack was also eclectic and fun. Definitely recommended.

Ate at flame with a friend. The service started out a little slow we had sat for almost 5 minutes without anyone greeting us or offering water. We started with the elk corn dogs which were a good but not excellent dish, I had the ny strip which is a peppercorn rubbed strip. The steak was great. My friend got the 10 ounce filet which he enjoyed. The sauces that come out for the steaks were really good. The truffle barbecue sauce being my favorite. We got that macaroni and cheese and the duck fat fries. The Mac and cheese was a good dish but the fries were a joke actually they were bland. The server was pretty good and attentive after the initial slow service. Overall a pretty good experience but not a great one.

I may have said this before but I was lying. I can't remember having a steak that was as good as the filet I had at Flame. I hate this place. Mostly because I couldn't stop eating all of the amazing food that was being placed before me. I have to admit, the first time I dined at Flame, I really did kind of hate it. We went for lunch and, while the food tasted pretty good, my glass was dirty, silverware wasn't replaced between courses, the tomatoes in my salad looked pre-cut and pretty old, and the service took FOR EVER! Just a tip, they have an $18 3-course lunch but your first course will be the size of an amuse bouche. No biggie, I didn't need a huge lunch, but just good to know in case you're hungry. Fast forward to dinner. Night and day. I had heard from two different servers that this particular Four Seasons is trying to cut down on pretense and focus on fun. Our dinner server mentioned that there's only so much fun you can have when you're charging $100 for a steak. That is true. You can be fun but there's a certain expectation when you're at a Four Seasons. (Ahem...lunch) So anyway, we started with the elk corndogs. I've never been a corndog girl so, thankfully, these didn't really taste corndoggy. Fluffy pastry was balanced nicely with the elk and I was happy to polish it off with a big sip of Veuve Cliquot. For the next courses, we tried the burrata salad, scallops with citrus risotto and prawns wrapped in boar bacon. They were all very tasty but let's move on to what kicked this place up to 5 stars. I ordered the 6 oz filet, medium rare. I'm still thinking about that steak. Sure, they give you about 8 different sauces to try with it but, honestly, the steak was perfectly amazing on its own. Oh my... So awesome. Combined with some rich creamed corn, buttery mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and I was in heaven. And I should definitely mention that our server picked some incredible wine pairings to accompany each course. Ah, the beauty of dining in a large group! We also had the opportunity to try the salmon, which was good, but that steak was the winner for sure. For dessert, they brought us a sampling of various specialties. The homemade ice creams were my favorite. The goat cheese and rum raisin didn't last long, they were unbelievable. The mint chocolate chip was good as well. I'm not a fan of mint but this one actually tasted like mint leaves and chocolate instead of overly sweet syrup. I can certainly appreciate that. We also sampled the deconstructed goat cheese cheesecake, bacon maple doughnuts and the souffle. All was amazing. I would go back in a heartbeat. I've actually had the opportunity to try breakfast a couple of times, too, and it was good stuff. I'm not usually a fan of hotel restaurants but this one is worth the trip.

pleasantly surprised! After doing some research into restaurants in Vail, I wasn't expecting anything outstanding. Flame was awesome... I love the game meat on the menu, Bison ribeye, CO Lamb, Kobe beef, Wagyu ribeye... The bison ribeye can't be missed. The prices were also very reasonable... It was about $75/person with some wine and a couple sides.

My boyfriend and I went here during the summer for a date night. I know it's silly, but I mainly wanted to try the place because of the cute "Steak. Elevated." sign depicting a cow held up by one helium balloon. We only go out to places this lovely on occasion, after saving up for a special night, and in general I simply get blown away. The service was friendly and amazing from the moment we pulled in. At first, the valet eyed my beat up ranch car like we must be lost, but they did not treat me any differently. The hostess as well was very accommodating in spite of being a bit late for our reservation (the cows got out). Our server as well was wonderful, attentive and friendly. The food we ordered tasted amazing! It was everything my boyfriend and I anticipate when we decide to go out for a high dollar experience. Possibly the best filet mignon I've ever had. Now, the reason I only gave three stars: When you order a main, it ONLY includes the meat, and sides need to be ordered in addition and cost $15 each. Usually I leave a nice restaurant like this thinking that the food and service quality made the price worth it. However, I did not think that Flame was worth the money. If I am going to pay top dollar for a steak, I really think it could at least come with some mashed potatoes. In short, If you have the money for the experience, the food and service are both five star! If you are like me and put aside money for a nice dinner on occasion, get a bit more bang for your buck and go elsewhere. As much as I enjoyed the food and service, I will not be going back to Flame as it was not worth the incredibly high price.

We were very disappointed. We had lunch here and we were not impressed. We decided to give them another try and booked a dinner. Unfortunately, we were again very disappointed. The Food: The $100 Waygu/Kobe ribeye is basically a large regular steak for twice the price. Not worth it. The ribeye at Elways is excellent and costs less than half as much. The sides were not very good. The salads were just ok. And the kids meals were an embarrassment--especially for the "Four Seasons"--something you'd expect from a movie concession stand. The $10 mac n cheese was Kraft. Comparatively, Elways has homemade kids mac n cheese which is what you'd expect at a premium restaurant. The Service: The main course was served an hour after the kids meals. And this is in the off-season when the restaurant was almost empty. Drink refills required a verbal request each and every time (I've had flight attendants who were more attentive). The server was nice and the staff was nice, so it was painful to have such poor service (again, for a 5 star hotel). The Price: If the food and service were stellar, then the price would be ok. It is very inflated and not unexpected considering it is Vail and the Four Seasons. And we'd have no complaints paying the high prices if the food and service delivered. Unfortunately, neither did. Again, we've tried it twice. We've wanted it to be great. The hotel is a spectacular property. The food and service just pales in comparison. If you would like a true steak experience (ie., the "flame" name), then we'd recommend Elways which is always great food and service.

Excellent food! Waitress was a bit stiff, and forgot to check on us periodically. Wagyu flat iron is awesome, as was the leek bread pudding. Kimchi brussel sprouts were great. If you are in Vail I would highly recommend this place!

great location, amazing ambiance, and a fantastic staff from the hostess to the dude who filled our water glasses. the waitress even asked the 13 year old in my party if he wanted the adult menu, when he typically gets a kids menu everywhere else. class. food was delicious, great steaks all around, tasty appetizers (wonderful options), and a huge wine menu, as well as some off-the-cuff drink options such as the ginger beer I had as the DD. detractions: the plates were not hot enough to keep anything warm even halfway through the meal. apps and steaks both less than warm by the halfway point of their consumption, and no way were we eating slow. sad, because they tasted great. otherwise, everything was a bit pricey given the portions, but it's a high end establishment at the base of a premier ski mountain (vail), so expect to pay through the nose. $410 (tip included) for my party of 4, and that was with only 2 alcohol beverages, 2apps, and 2 desserts.

A Small Flame Flame is one of those ultra ritzy places that huffs and puffs, but doesn't quite manage to blow you away. Nestled in the Vail Ritz Carlson, Flame is as posh as you'd expect with high-backed leather chairs and ominous-looking barrel-shaped chandeliers. We thought there was something vaguely Middle Earth about the restaurant. Some of the dishes could have used some of that Gandalf magic. We had the Elk corndogs. They came dipped in a bowl of cornmeal and with artisanal mayo and ketchup. And although they weren't gamey, there wasn't anything special about them. What was gamey was the Lobster mashed potatoes. We don't think this dish should taste fishy, but it did. Then there was the pecan chicken, which was probably the lowest brow dish ever served in a white tablecloth establishment. It was a half chicken covered in a gloopy maroon sauce. It seemed to have come from a microwave due to the lifeless texture of the poor bird. The filet mignon was passable, but also dry. Maybe this one was on us for ordering it well done, but we'll never understand why we can cook a well done steak at home that's perfectly awesome, while most trained chefs can't. Go figure. The duck fat fries also missed the mark. Yes, it was cool that these were wedges and not string style and skin-covered sections were really crispy and salty, but the meat of them was just bland, white potato. The onion soup was very good, however. The Emmenthaler cheese balanced perfectly with the dark wheaty bread cap. The ceasar salad was simple, but refreshing. The desserts were all over the map. The apple pie, which our server recommended, was serviceable. But the maple bacon glazed donuts were kind of tragic. Take the stale minis you find in the heart attack aisle at your local grocery, then slather them in IHOP syrup. There may have been some bacon in them. I couldn't tell. But hold on...they had this "deconstructed Snicker" dish. A layer of dark chocolate and caramel sprinkled with nuts and served inside of a glass jar. This is the definition of a fourth quarter comeback. We were ready to forget about Flame, but can honestly say this dessert made the entire experience above average. We left not a single crumb. Well played.

Had dinner here with two friends that were celebrating their anniversary. Overpriced for the quality of the meal. You're paying for location inside of location. Located in basement of hotel, so no view. Would recommend a regular joint and save your cash.

We ate at Flame (at the Four Seasons) two nights ago in Vail, taking advantage of the special fixed price off-season special (3 courses plus a side for $42). It was a great meal, indeed. I ordered their house Manhattan to sip before ordering which was extremely good. My meal started with the Slow Braised Heritage Pork Cheeks. Didn't know what all the fuss was about around cheeks until I tried them. OMG; so tender it reminded me of my Kobe beef experience in Japan years ago. Really wonderful. Then I went on to Colorado Lamb Osso Bucco. It comes with a collection of sauces in their own tray which allows you to experiment. I found two that married perfectly with the lamb. I was a very happy camper. And then I tasted my chosen side dish: Marscapone Creamed Corn. Words almost fail me here. I told the enquiring waitstaff that if they serve popcorn in heaven it will taste like this dish. It was exquisite! Finally finished with dessert: carrot cake. Quite good but not amazing although the presentation was fabulous. But the overall rating of this meal, especially given the price, is 5 stars out of 5 stars. The wait staff was attentive without hovering. The pace of the meal was leisurely but spot on. The ambience of the room was elegant but casual enough for Vail.

Had lunch here today. Food was excellent. We ordered the French Onion Soup, short rib sliders, the steak tacos, and wagyu steak salad. Everything was cooked exactly to our liking, and it had great flavor. Our waitress Irena was very friendly and helpful. They took our food allergies very serious, and made sure the meal came to the table without allergens.

My party and I thought it was some sick joke making your guests walk down twenty steps after skiing hard all day, but it was certainly worth it. Flame has a great look with cute details that make it special. Our server was knowledgeable and she was truly invested in making sure we enjoyed our dining experience. EAT: Taco appetizer, filet mignon TIP: If you get cold, make sure to ask for a fur blanket during dinner!

I consider myself a steak connoisseur and a lover of red meat. The wagyu flat iron at Flame is hands down the best steak I have had in my life. I cannot recommend it or this restaurant enough. The wine list was superb the staff were so accommodating and quick with wonderful recommendations and suggestions. They also gave us a wonderful surprise for our wedding anniversary. A perfect touch to a truly perfect evening. We will be back!!

First off, at least ONE of the 5 star reviews on here are from EMPLOYEES. SPARE ME. For that I am changing my review to ONE star, despite having had good service when we went. I am perplexed by the initial reviews. Our party of 6 had a very subpar experience. The lobster that two people ordered was bland and not the same dish they had ordered on the previous time they visited Flame. The shortrib was salty and tasteless, almost dry. Duckbreast was inedible and unable to be cut even with a sharp knife. Chef Jason can leave the BS Wagyu marketing in Vegas because the 'Wagyu' steak was just a basic ribeye. Kobe/Wagyu is supposed to be savored in small slices, not eaten as a steak for two. A ribeye is ALREADY fatty and marbled, why would anyone want a 'Wagyu Ribeye' I have no idea... and this steak did not deliver. Sorry but this whole Kobe style 'Wagyu' beef is a big fraud. You might get away with that in Vegas, but not meat eating Colorado. SHAME ON YOU Chef Jason. This restaurant is for tourists, any self respecting Coloradan would stay FAR away from this ripoff of a culinary experience. There are PLENTY of finer dining experiences in the valley where the food is worth the price. Skip this place and ignore prior reviews. If this was truly a steakhouse they wouldn't serve a Wagyu ribeye. Flame is there purely to extract wealth from unknowing ski town tourists who are brought in by the marketing allure of the 'Four Seasons' brand. Stay far away, your wallet and dignity will thank you.

This is not your average steak house given the steak options (i.e., 32oz waygu ribeye). Located in the Four Seasons, Flame is in a large warm space that feels like a lodge with a fire place at the far wall across the room. We had reservations but I am not sure that they are necessary. Probably a phone call, day of, might work. Our server's name was Stephen. He was friendly and not pretentious. He was quick with drink service and food. He was well versed on the menu as well as the wine list. The menu is small because they specialize in steak and they build their menu around that. There wine list however is extensive. What I appreciate about their wine list is the multitude of half bottles that can be ordered in case some in your party does not want to drink. I ordered a wild mushroom soup and bison potstickers as an appetizer. The potstickers are great for sharing. The soup was worth trying but I would not get it again. The potstickers were not any better than a steamed dumpling at a chinese restaurant but the dipping sauce took it up a notch. For entrees we ordered the 6oz filet and 12 oz bone in filet. The temperatures were ordered medium and medium rare respectively. The steaks were done perfectly to order. Flame also offers side sauces for accompaniment. My group said the chimichurri was great with the bone in filet. I preferred the butter. For sides we ordered the chiles tornados. These are marinated jalapeños. Before you say "I pass". More than anything I ever ate with a steak, i.e. steak oscar style or with bleu cheese, I loved the steak with the way they did these peppers. I wish more steak houses prepared this. The table also ordered mac and cheese and asparagus. I had the mac and cheese and it was ok. FYI the wine pairing was a Paso Robles cabernet sav wine I think a 2009. It was excellent. We ordered a half bottle and the four in our party were able to try it. We shared one dessert, the apple donuts and dip. Pass, this is not very good. I would say if you are looking for steak, this is a great option if you don't mind spending the money. You do not have to park in the parking garage if driving to this restaurant. You can valet at the front of the Four Seasons and get the ticket validated.

We were very excited to try Flame; we've been coming to the Vail Valley for over 20 years and were looking forward to trying a new place. We have had wonderful experiences at other Four Seasons restaurants especially Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons in Washington, DC. I cannot tell you how underwhelmed we were. Our waitress was pushy; she seemed almost offended that we didn't order the appetizers that she had discussed. She also seemed offended that we didn't order more than three sides when there was already way too much food for everyone. She also seemed offended when a person at the table asked that her entree be made non-spicy (this is the Four Seasons, you should be happy to accommodate special requests). Service for appetizers and wine was slow. My trout was almost inedible...chewy and almost mealy. But you say, why order fish at a steak restaurant...well this is the Four Seasons they should be able to do fish well too. The duck fat fries were undercooked and not very flavorful. The "goat cheese flan" on the peach salad had literally no taste. The people who ordered filets enjoyed their steak and thought it was well cooked. There is a nice cocktail and wine list. The meal was of course almost $500 for five people....we fully expected to pay this much but expected service and food to match. Bottom line--do not dine here....there are much better places in the Vail Valley/Beaver Creek (we had a wonderful meal at Sweet Basil a few nights before). We will definitely not be going back.

Miso Fish, Bison Ribeye, and Wagyu NY Strip were fantastic, as was the Ahi Tartare. Service great as well.

Overpriced, underwhelmed. Unhelpful waitress, slow service, slow staggered entrees, good steak and good scallops, but won't be back.

Ordered the Steak Salad for lunch - Came with 1/2 of 1 cherry tomato, 8 pieces of lettuce, and some semi-warm steak. Some people actually want a salad when they order a salad, and so I found the lack of salad odd...especially given that's not what can possibly be driving the cost of the meal. Also, this is supposed to be a steak place?? Ew. Pick a temperature and go with it, leaving it out for 30 minutes and then serving it is not ideal.

Flame was stellar. The ambiance doesn't vary from the modern sky-lodge style that one expects from Vail. However, the view is all the decor required. The service is outstanding; our server was friendly, professional, attentive and knowledgeable. We had the good fortune of having a server who had a deep enough knowledge of wine to rival the best servers we've ever had. (Down to a recommended decanting time for the bottle of wine we chose!) This leads to the wine list; it was as comprehensive as most 4-5 star restaurants in NYC and SFO. The wine list was not only comprehensive, but deep without being too obscure or unapproachable. The food was outstanding. The bison pot stickers were nuanced when they could have been popular merely as a novelty. My wife had the pumpkin risotto, which was perfectly executed. The Wagyu beef was tender, but not quite as flavorful as some other places I've had it. Nevertheless, it still amounted to one of the best I've had. Sides and deserts were both outstanding; their french fries buck the over-seasoned and covered with flecks of cheese trend that dominate menus. The dress code varies; we were there for our anniversary, but couples were also comfortable in jeans.

My wife and I had dinner at Flame which is in the Four Seasons between Lionshead and Vail Village. The Four Seasons lives up to what is expected from a Four Seasons with this restaurant. The food was amazing and so was the service. I had the Veal, wife had a chicken dish. We ordered dessert off the upstairs bar menu, not that great, more about the bar later. The only thing bad about my evening was a table close to us was extremely loud but didn't ruin our meal. So the loud table, it ended up being a joke between my wife and I. So get this, the table close to us complained about everything. This one guy, this was an older group, can someone over sixty still be deuchey? Any way, one guy complained about the seasoning on his salad (Huh?), one of the women complained about the wine not being fancy enough for her standard (her husband is the one that ordered it)and another sent his salad back because he asked for 7 anchovies and only got 6. So, the place is good for the occassional laugh as well. The staff all stayed straight faced when they sent this back, I don't know how, amazing control. Before dinner, go to the bar upstairs, great drinks but totally expensive, 2 drinks each for my wife and I was almost a hundred bucks. Eh, it's the Four Seasons! They were pretty darn good.

We had a wonderful meal at Flame on a saturday night when we stayed at the four seasons vail. Its a good thing the food was so delicious because our service was super subpar. Maybe I'm used to the service from nicer places in denver (mortons or flemings). But our server Olga was terrible. I think it got off to wrong start because we asked for the $39 menu that was advertised on their website and also on the menu at the street entrance. Our server treated us as we were ordering from the value menu. Some specifics that in my opinion that were less than stellar. Her overall attitude, we had a random dropoff of these sauces that we never once got told what they were, we got a platter that wasn't made to be eaten out of but no additional plates, we had most of our sides left and when she was taking our entree plates away she tried to take our sides which we responded with asking for a box she seemed annoyed brought one small box told us if we wanted a small box that we would have to mix our sides ( we had a small hotel fridge we didn't have much else choice). Once we got our check Olga made made sure we knew how much of a discount we received so that we wouldn't be cheap and tip her based on the lower amount. An example of how service can make or break an experience. No matter how great the food is.

Just back from a trip to Vail/Beaver Creek with my family and we were able to dine for Christmas day dinner at Flame. My son made the reservations after a friend's recommendation and Flame is wonderful. The Christmas menu allowed a salad, main entre and desert. I had the grilled caeser salad which I had never had and was amazing. My entree was the turkey and potatoes and that was so delicious. For desert, it was a gingerbread cake that was pretty darn good. Service here was top notch and it wasn't too crowded or loud. A really nice place to spend Christmas dinner when away from home. I'd love to go back to sample the normal menu.

I went to Flame for Christmas Eve dinner and it was exceptional. They had a prix fixe menu option and their regular menu with limited choices. The timing of the food was spot on, not to mention the quality. I had a shrimp tomato risotto that was delightful, followed by a bone-in filet with foie gras and a selection of sauces. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more. Great wine list too!

Absolutely incredible. Every review before this was spot on and I am so thankful to the previous reviewers for leading me to this place. Like I mentioned in another review, my family and I have been coming up here for the last 17 years and going to the same restaurants every year. We have recently been looking for fabulous new restaurants and I have to say Flame was even better than some of our favorite restaurants we've returned to time and time again. The ambiance is alluring and beautiful, sort of old-English castle meets the mountains with high beamed ceilings, large backed chairs and rustic chandeliers. The service was incredible, granted we came on a slower night, the manager came out many times to serve us himself and see how we were doing. Finally, the cuisine was exquisite. The chef does an excellent job putting a modern spin on some classic mountain favorites with a delectable result. Collectively we ordered: Roasted beet salad with goat cheese: fabulous, the got cheese was served warm in a round pastry, really delicious Tomato risotto with jumbo prawns: I could of eaten this dish all night, served with a horseradish sauce the light, fresh prawns perfectly complement the heavier sauce and the thick, amazing tomato risotto Tasting tostada with 6 mini tacos filled with lobster, ahi, and beef carpaccio: this was a really cute dish, served with guacamole on top of all the tacos, really delicious and a nice array of flavor (beware the pepper in the middle though because it is really quite spicy and I love spicy food) Scallops with gnocchi: I didn't try this one, but that's because my friend loved it so much she finished in within 2 seconds, she said it was phenomenal Bison steak: again I was unable to try this dish, but they said it was very lean and particularly flavorful, great game dish Bison meatballs filled with ricotta cheese: this is what I got and I am still drooling just thinking about it, served over a bed of polenta-like grits, topped with a pomodoro sauce and served with a piece of olive oil toasted bred with cheese, everything about this dish was perfect, the meatballs completely retained the excellent flavor of the bison while mixing perfectly with the ricotta, which was not overwhelming at all and provided a great accent to the dish, especially in conjunction with the grits (which I don't usually love, but were great) and the bread. We also got the row eleven Pinot noir, which was fantastic! Flame is probably my new all time favorite restaurant in vail/beaver creek and I will definitely be coming back here time and time again! Thank you yelp! Go eat here now!!! Oh and we also got delicious, individually wrapped, little white chocolate mooses on our way out which were super cute and delicious! I LOVE FLAME!

Had the bison - it was great! Grilled just right - that is, I loved it!. And I was taking a risk because I had never tried bison before. Staff was friendly but not too much. Our waiter acted as our sommelier and made excellent suggestions for me for wine. Warm chocolate souffle with creamy vanilla sauce was divine dessert!

We were so disappointed that we didn't have time to dine at Flame during trip to Vail in July. That's why we made it a high priority to go this time. Wow. What a disappointment. Why? Any time I think of a 5 star hotel, the first thing that comes to mind is superior customer service. I have come to expect that when I pay an arm and a leg for a hotel, a restaurant or service. So, it's no surprise that I would hold Flame to the same expectations. Making your customers feel welcomed and comfortable should be an industry standard. You want to make people who are spending their hard earned money at your establishment feel like they are appreciated so that they are motivated to continue their patronage. Well, our server might have missed the memo. He didn't really bother to greet, us, made no attempt at engaging in any small talk with us, though we tried, and was just abrupt and cold. I did not appreciate this at all. In fact, his attitude made us feel awkward. Instead of lingering over our meal, we wanted to eat it and get the heck out of there because it just felt like we weren't welcomed there. Sure, the food was good. But it didn't blow my mind. I ordered the lobster bisque. At $14 a bowl, I expected there to be more than a tablespoon of lobster on my plate. My brother-in-law ordered the sable. It was literally a small piece of fish on a big black plate with a chili garnish. When his plate was placed in front of him, I actually giggled because I thought it had to be a joke. Where was the rest of the fish? At $36 for a portion, I expected the fish to at least be palm sized. Nope! Once again, what was delivered was far below expectation. The portion was so small, I actually felt guilty taking a bite of it :-/. My fiancee ordered the lambchops. He said they were good. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. We did order the mac and cheese, which were creamy and delicious, exactly what we wanted and the lobster mashed potatoes. These were also very good, but nothing remarkable. You better believe that I am so happy that we didn't decide on the Flame buyout for our wedding weekend after the service we received here. You also better believe that I will not be recommending Flame to any of my wedding guests for our October wedding in Vail. Unfortunately, the food did not come close to compensating for the horrendous service we received.

This is the best steak I have ever eaten. If somebody were to ask me at any other restaurant " how was your steak ?" I always say" it was good but not as amazing as, "Flame"
Can you say save your money!! The service was bad and very very slow. One server had eight tables and was over whelmed. You get water and the cocktail you order that's it! We asked for beard it was said to us we only bring it on request. So we waited. Never got it.. After we ordered we waited 45 minutes for our our first course. The lobster bisque soup was good. Now we waited on the main course... And about 30 min later dinner came steak was cold. Save your money....

I couldn't have asked for a more lovely dinner with my boyfriend on our vacation to Colorado. Being from Miami, we are huge foodies and loved having a different cozy experience as appose to Miami's loud and fast paced environment. Let me start off from the moment we arrived at the Four Seasons Resort Vail. Superb hospitality from all angles. From valet to the front desk directing us, until the moment we had sat down and left Flame Restaurant. Our server, Cameron, and his assistant, Ghusti (not sure how to spell his name, it was the gentleman from Thailand I believe) were so on point with making sure our experience went well and clearly to have our expectations met. I mean, the attention was definitely an A+. Ghusti never let our water get low, constantly refilling our glasses and even folding our napkins during trips to the restroom. Cameron made some great suggestions on the food and made sure everything tasted good to us. PLEASE TRY THE PORK BELLY! Best pork belly I've ever had! We shared the Rib-Eye steak which was also cooked to perfection! Lightly crisp on and smokey on the outside with a tender red center. He even brought out all their sauces to try and play with, making our steak more interesting to eat. Seriously, my experience with both the Resort and Flame was just better than I imagined, especially with the expectations of someone who also works in a steakhouse at the FS Miami. Thank you so much to the wholes staff! I will definitely be back!!!

Two words: Skirt steak. Well, actually...everything we ordered at Flame over the past three days has been incredible. Even the breakfast 'buffet' is superlative....omelettes, eggs, proteins such as sausage and bacon, fresh juices, lox, cereals, oatmeal, muesli, fresh berries and fruit, pastry...but overall the highlights were: Breakfast: Fresh watermelon + raspberry juices and even their own made in house 'green machine'; the sausage. Lunch: Steak tacos!! The accompanying beans and chorizo, roasted peppers with onion...delicious. Dinner: Skirt steak!!! Yes that is with three !!! It came with all 6 sauces ranging from a chimichurri to a wasabi cream, the house peppercorn sauce (fermented black bean, garlic, ginger...yum), asian butter...all of them were delicious and creative in their own right. You could go with the 51oz Rib Eye for two, but seriously...51 ounces? Go big or stay home, I suppose! Good, attentive service but I wish the soundtrack in the dining room got a little more thought. Music ranged from hip hop to pop to just bad pop and very few songs seemed to fit the beautiful, spacious environment. Chairs are super comfy, and you can definitely take in the Vail mountain views from the huge picture windows, while overlooking the pool. The pool - heated towels and robes - is the perfect temp, by the way. The hardest decision: eat or swim first.

Probably not worth the $$ if you are used to bigger city steak houses. They try hard to impress with service and they succeed. We called with zero notice about getting a table and they said to walk over. When we arrived the table was not ready which was very very understandable. The manager brought over two champagnes for us to enjoy while we waited a whopping 5 minutes. That was great. Again service was great at the table. Good server. For us the steak was just ok compared to what we get at Dallas' top steak houses. My NY strip was definitely not cooked medium but was more rare. For the prices they should know how to cook medium.

While staying in Vail for work, I decided to have a frivolous night of gourmet dining here. Man, did I make a GOOD decision! Everything we had here was astounding! We started with the elk corn dogs, which were melt in your mouth delicious. It was such a pity they disappeared so quickly. A note: the main entrees are just the main dish. The side dishes are a separate order, which can make the meal pricey, but it's totally worth it. I mean, lobster mashed potatoes and spiced brocillini?! Come on. SO worth it. I had the venison loin for my main course and it was supreme. I have never, in my life, had steak prepared so perfectly. And the dipping sauces? My god, the dipping sauces! There were six to choose from and you could mix and match. My two favorites: the BBQ sauce (yes, it was that good) and the blackberry bourbon sauce. Whoa momma. I finished off my meal with a s'mores cheesecake. It was tasty and the plating brought a smile to my face it was so fun. Everything was perfectly portioned so that I left feeling satisfied, but not stuffed to the brink. All told, the bill was around $190 without any alcohol, so it's definitely a "special meal" price, but come on, every once in a while, you've just got to live, right? The one thing that I found slightly off-putting was the ambiance. The menu at Flame is light, fun and playful; a menu I would enjoy over and over again. The restaurant space (located inside the Four Seasons) was utterly stuffy. It felt like an old boys club where old money goes to smoke cigars and judge everyone that makes under a million a year. It's dull and boring. It's a complete contradiction. It's a good thing I picked this place based on the Yelp reviews and not the appearance. I never would have picked this place based on the way it looks. I guess that was a good lesson for me: don't just a menu by its cover.

I have never written one of these before, but... Beautiful hotel, which set our expectations fairly high. Competitive Vail environment means restaurants must overachieve to succeed. The food at Flame was pretty good but the service could not have been worse. As dessert was being served I was still searching for the manager who had promised cracked pepper for our salads. The waitress arrived late, never introduced herself, and showed punctuality and interest only when delivering the bill. This was our worst dining experience in Vail all week. If every employee Flame acquitted themselves like the Fillipine busboy, this place would be 4-5 star. But until then, it sucks.

Located one level downstairs from the main floor, of the Four Seasons Hotel, Flame is an extremely delicious and cozy restaurant. Crowd was mostly couples, some groups, and even families (with children)and dress code was a bit more than casual, but not quite fancy. Service from the waiters, waitress, and hostess were top-notch. Each person was helpful and provided honest recommendations; I truly appreciate that. I highly recommend doing family style with the steaks; that's what we did and we got to taste different ones and it was very affordable. Have the waiter show you how to do your sauces for your meat. It enhanced the flavors of the meat a lot! Foraged Mushroom Braised Heritage Pork Cheeks - small portion, but very tender, very flavorful, recommend. Seared Hudson Foie gras - small portion, but delicious! Recommend! Eagle Springs Iceberg Wedge - small portion, but good. Kalbi Buffalo Short rib - huge portion, should share this place, very soft, tender, fall-off-the-bone meat. Cooked perfectly, and explosions of flavor Bison Ribeye - never had bison before, very good meat, would recommend for people to get this to try, but the Wagyu was the best meat. Wagyu Ribeye - delicious, delicious, delicious, best meat on the menu! Wagyu ny strip - good, and would recommend, but the Ribeye was better! Truffled Fontina Mac and Cheese - Very Cheesy, get this! Yummy! Recommend! Maine Lobster Mash Potatoes - good. Crispy Brussel Sprout Kim chi - amazing! get this! Yummy! Recommend! Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake - small portion, very good.

"FLAME OUT" I went to Flame twice in the last month. On my first visit my son ordered a plain hamburger and regular French fries. When his food was served his hamburger had an egg on it and a lot of other items that I am not sure what they were. Yuck. I had the wedge salad which was ok and a crab cake and filet for my main course. The steak was ok and the crab cake was small and again just ok. They were also out of the bottle of wine that I had ordered. My second visit was more of the same. Overall the food was very ordinary and not to the standard of the Four Seasons. I was really disappointed with the speed and attentiveness of the wait staff. I was not sure where our waiter disappeared too on both visits and our napkins were never folded when we would leave the table. I will be going back to the Vail Four Seasons but definitely won't be going back to "Flame Out". Save your money.

The "You Only Live Once" burger was probably the best hamburger I have ever eaten, and definitely the best I have had in recent memory. I ordered it medium rare on the recommendation of our server, and I passed on the egg and ketchup. Wow. I'm curious to go back next time I'm in Vail to determine if my experience was simply a case of the stars being perfectly aligned or if Flame has truly perfected the hamburger (and thereby ruined every other burger I will ever order). To be continued... The elk corndogs were also pretty good, if not a bit cutesy. The portions of spinach and onion rings were ridiculously small, considering they were $12 each and meant to be shared. The pricing here is bonkers, even by Vail standards, which may explain why the restaurant was about 2/3 empty at dinnertime.

I was not happy about this place!!! It was in a Presidential Suite Setting, I ordered the Wagyu Steak it was awful the steak had no seasoning at all, the Brussels Sprouts was not cooked the way I eat them. The menu was nothing Like the Yelp menu, which was very disappointing. The Menu was the reason My Friends and I went. Never Again, smh I wish I could post a picture of my steak.

This is the best restaurant in Vail. The best. What usually happens in Vail - is that you pay a lot and get nothing. Not here. Everything was perfect, the hostess the waitress, the food, the wine. OK, desert was only 4 stars, but the rest? 5 stars all the way. Don't miss the kimchi brussels sprouts, the wasabi mash potatoes, the steak (with the porcine rub) was so good, I didn't even tried any of the six sauces they served with it - because the stark was so perfectly cooked, and the meat was just excellent.

Great dining experience in Vail. Flame specializes in prime beef and bison, but their other food options make the place unique. We tried the Elk CornDogs as an appetizer. Fun, different and pretty tasty. Ordered the bison ribeye and petite fillet. Steaks were offered with a choice of dry rubs. A sampling of sauces were brought to the table. Nice idea. We liked the blackberry bourbon and the wasabi. The side dishes are large enough to share. We enjoyed the lobster mashed potatoes and the crispy Brussels sprouts in an Asian sauce. Nice twist on an otherwise boring vegetable. The wine list is excellent. Served by the bottle, half bottle, split and glass. My husband asked what the bar could provide in a non alcoholic option. The bartender made him a drink with seasonal berries. Very tasty and much more interesting than just being offered coke products or ice tea! An evening out should be special for everyone- especially your designated driver. Enjoyed our evening here very much.

First, when making your reservation, ask for either Cameron or Olga - both were excellent. Next, when deciding on appetizer, ensure that at least ONE of you orders the Pumpkin Soup (Olga's fabulous recommendation). Also, allow your server to pair wine with each course for you - amazing. Finally, as your main course, you MUST order the Berkshire Pork Chop and the Bison Rib Eye (assuming there are two of you). Both were suggested by Olga - three cheers for HER! Also upon her recommendation, we bravely ordered the Kim Chee Brussel Sprouts which were nothing short of AMAZING (and I don't even LIKE brussel sprouts!!). Too, the Wasabi Whipped Potatoes are to DIE for. If you have room, order the Scallops as dessert. They were cooked to absolute perfection. Sooooo delicious!! The restaurant has a beautiful lodge-feel to it. Dinner by the fireplace is especially spectacular.

.I really wanted to love this place.

(5)Beaux C.

A wonderful dining experience.

we stayed in the Hotel for about 5 days and every morning we came over to this restaurant for breakfast...... the service was great and the people were friendly. thank you.
(5)Terry S.
Tasty but incredibly skimpy and pricey portions. Go for live music. No other reason than that to go
(2)Cat T.
Pan screed Foie Gras is priceless. The chef has done a wonderful job of pairing it with a light french toast like.

after being disappointed over and over again with Vail's fine dining, Flame steakhouse was no different. The server was nice, the food was not. the waygu steak was cooked wrong twice, once overcooked, then once way undercooked. I would assume medium rare is hard to mess up at a fine dining steakhouse, i assumed wrong.
(2)Angel M.

(2)Stephen K.
(5)Jeff M.
(5)Casey L.

(5)William B.
great location, amazing ambiance, and a fantastic staff from the hostess to the dude who filled our water glasses. the waitress even asked the 13 year old in my party if he wanted the adult menu, when he typically gets a kids menu everywhere else. class. food was delicious, great steaks all around, tasty appetizers (wonderful options), and a huge wine menu, as well as some off-the-cuff drink options such as the ginger beer I had as the DD. detractions: the plates were not hot enough to keep anything warm even halfway through the meal. apps and steaks both less than warm by the halfway point of their consumption, and no way were we eating slow. sad, because they tasted great. otherwise, everything was a bit pricey given the portions, but it's a high end establishment at the base of a premier ski mountain (vail), so expect to pay through the nose.

(4)V T.
(4)Bryce F.
Everything you would expect of a restaurant of this caliber, and best of all a menu with both variety and great comfort food choices.
(5)Michael C.
I came here to secret shop before i buy an unGodly expensive condo at the four seasons. The food is good and the location is awesome. However the service today is a little slow.
(4)Brian Thornton A.
For breakfast they have a banana foster French toast.... great stuff.
(5)Erin D.

(1)Ebby V.

(4)Clayton B.
I have been to High end Steak restaurants all over the US. Flame rates in my top 2. I really enjoyed my time thier. I will be back! Not cheap, you will spend $100 to $150 a person, but do it! i will be back!!!!
(5)Barbara B.
Overpriced, underwhelmed. Unhelpful waitress, slow service, slow staggered entrees, good steak and good scallops, but won't be back.
(1)Meghan H.

Awesome food and service! Recommend to all. Good size portions, cozy. Staff is over accommodating.

First things first the restaurant should serve complimentary bread and butter, let's start with the appetizer salad wasnt bad could of used more dressing, the entrée wagyu flat iron steak wasnt cooked to my liking did not have the charbroiled flavor i was looking for, and to mention the temperature of the food wasn't hot enough. The sides potatoes could have been better...desert not that bad overall the Moscato wine was the best.....

A steakhouse? At the four seasons? It's what you expect (and maybe a few things you don't) Leather chairs: check Stunning views: check Pricey Menu: check French Waiter: check Rock music? Kids utensils (for our 3 year old)? Outstanding food? Check. Check and Check. The negative reviews here gave us pause, but we decided to check out flame since I was craving a steak and the location made it convenient. We were well rewarded. The service was exactly what you expect from the four seasons: beyond attentive, warm and personalized. Our waiter Nicolas made excellent suggestions and made sure our dinner was well-timed and our glasses were full. He even made sure our grouchy toddler was happy and well- attended for the entire meal (not an easy feat.) as for the food: The bison ribeye was cooked beyond perfectly and the sauces were a nice touch. We sprung for the chocolate soufflé and it was the perfect ending to the evening. I'm not sure what the other diners here expected, or if they caught flame on a bad night, but we would highly recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again soon.

(5)Susan H.
