Old Chicago Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Have been here a couple of times but with the economy, haven't went out much but my best friend bought me a gift certificate for my birthday and my daughter and me happened to be nearby so figured, we'd go. Great atmosphere and service. Had the PLT (panchetta, lettuce & tomato) and Cesar salads. Were yummy. Lots of beers to choose from (though I stick with my old stand by Bud Light). Great place to watch a game, race, whatever. Will go back, hopefully soon!

This Old Chicago location used to be awesome, then they were bought out by Craft Works and everything went downhill. Firstly, they have replaced the grilled chicken on their entree salads with an absolutely disgusting roasted chicken. They also replaced their lemonade with a homemade version that is so sour it is undrinkable - especially for children. Finally, they have taken away all personality from their staff by no longer allowing colored hair, visible tattoos, etc. This place used to be fun and a great place to eat, but now it's just another corporate restaurant. The only reason they continue to be successful is that they are the only chain restaurant in a several mile radius.

Went back again. Much better this time. The thing that makes this one better than the one just a few miles up the road is the service. I always hit this one up for lunch and always receive prompt and friendly service in the bar area. Anyway, the pizzas have gone down hill but the cheese sticks were served piping hot. I'll give them a 4 for this visit.

Calzone was tasty and the beer was cold. Not sure I'm a big fan of the corporate cookie cutter direction this chain has taken. Service was prompt, curteous, and attentive (thanks Sean).

You know how if you are "with" some women, you can't take your mind off of the moment, the passion captures you completely? And then there are others who perhaps look the part, but your mind wanders, or you just get that "meh" feeling...like on the surface everything seems to add up, but something is just missing? I look at life as being short, and I want the first scenario, that first feeling I described in as many aspects of my life as I can. This dining experience was more of the second. Old Chicago has all the equipment to do it right, the extensive beer menu, etc. but it's just blah. It wasn't horrible, but there is no charm, no passion for food nor for service here. It's just going through the motions. Similar to women, I want something that stick in my mind later, that there's nothing quite like it, that I want to rave to my friends. I'll never get that at Old Chicago. I think it's best we see other people, and not each other. Well, best for me, anyway.

Best pizza in the area.We come there to have pizza and watch Av's games. Service is good, food is good. They make a good Arnold Palmer. We don't drink so i have no idea whether their drinks are good or if their beer selection is worthy. But we like the pizza.

Good menu, decent pizza though the one of 104th offers a lunch buffet for a good price

Lots of beer... sure, they have lots of beer... But the food leave much to be desired... Nothing special. Our waitress was nice enough, so that helps. Seriously though, how do people eat deep dish Pizza? I mean sure, I bet that some place out there does it properly... But does properly mean crust drenched in grease and way too much cheese for any human to consume? We got a medium Pizza and we packed it in after 1 slice each. Crazy... Now my stomach is doing the cramp dance just awaiting the inevitable.

Loved this place. Have a wide variety of local brewed beer, which is great! Prices weren't to high either, I'd go here anytime! Should really update the TV's here though, all were old box ones, come on guys, you know you can afford better TV's to watch. ITS 2011

A decent beer selection (probably better than decent if you are a fan of imported beer). The food is tasty but not particularly good for you (heavy on meat and cheese). I particularly enjoy the Italian Nachos when I'm feeling the need to go on a junk food bender. This review is aplicable to all Old Chicago's I have ever been to. There isn't anything that I have found to distinguish any one from another.

Eaten here a few times. It's the same as any other Old C's.

Food is OK and it's a nice place but I wanted to share an odd story about the place. I guess you could call it a warning. Last night I went with a friend and her 11 year old son. We sat on the patio and it was about 10:30 PM. After eating, the boy was dozing off and a waiter was walking behind him, held his hands out to catch something as our waiter came out the patio door. Our waiter tossed a fork to him, but it bounced off the edge of our table's umbrella, hit the kid in the head, and landed on the ground. The kid jumped up asking what happened, thinking his mom did something. She didn't know what happened, she only saw our waiter grab the fork off the floor, hide it in his apron, and apologize to the kid. I only told her after the waiter left. When our waiter came back and handed me the check he said (quickly but distinctly) "Sign both copies". I wondered why he said that, and it was bugging me. I remembered years ago at another Old Chicago in Lakewood I had left a good cash tip and put a zero in the credit slip, but later noticed that my statement showed the charge was several dollars higher than my copy of the receipt showed. I chalked it up to error and never pursued it. Now I suspect the reason for telling me to sign both copies is they hope you will leave the guest copy behind so they can fill that copy in with a higher tip. I think soon I'll test that theory by leaving the guest copy behind, signed, but take a picture of both copies before I leave. So I guess my advice about the place is wear eye protection and make sure you take your guest copy of the charge slip if you pay with a card. :)

110 brews, pasta and pizza, just like all of the other Old C's. The beer was cold, the food was good, the wait staff was reasonable fast and attentive. What else can I say? When you have been to one Old C's you have been to them all. The only thing that I don't like about Old C's is the lack of big screen TV's at all of their locations. They seem to stick with small 20"-27" TV's mounted in unfriendly viewing locations on the ceiling making it a less than ideal place to watch the game.. A larger TV or two would bump them up to 4 stars.

Great beer selection, very good service, but no air conditioning!! Apparently it's been off and on the last few weeks. Couldn't take the heat for more than 1 beer.

Decent and dependable food. Great service at this location. The people are actually my favorite part. Also, a GREAT beer selection.

This old Chicago location is awesome and it seems to always be busy. Which is a great thing. The waits can suck at times but the food is worth it. Servers are always so nice and friendly and when ordering beers they always bring some to sample. Great family restaurant, and food menu is great. I built my own calzone and it was cheap and actually to big for me too finish. Overall satisfied with this place.

Very upset with my server the orher night... Normally service is great, however, this last visit was subpar. My husband and I went in for dinner with a friend and we're sat in a booth in the bar side. Our server comes up and you could tell she was very stressed. Which i have been a server and i could tell she was busy. Wr ordered waters initially to give us more time as well as her. When she returned with waters we ordered drinks. She barely took one look at my ID and told me she could not serve me. I had just gone to the dmv a week prior to get my new license. I had my temporary paper with me clearly stating it was valid for 30 days after date of visit. From that point forward she seemed to almost ignore our table unless she was asking if i wanted anything besides my water to drink. It seemed to me she didnt care to take the time since she was busy with other tables. We normally visit this location but are more hesitant to sit bar side if the servers won't take the time to be a server and are more concered with the tables ordering shots and such.

Pizza is always the best. Thin crust. We will come more often to eat amazing food and beer.

Mmmm, so good... ice cold beer and hot savory pizza. Chicago 7 pizza is recommended, it was so flavorful! My old regret is that it is it is not bigger, good thing we could always order another. The salad was sad. The cucumber had been partially frozen, not good. If I ordered another I would inspect it throughly. And then beer. So many choices, when you drink one of each you get a prize and you name on the was, Beer Tour. You can take along as you need, days, months, years...they keep track for you. I would highly recommend the bar area. The dining room had an uncomfortable feel and lighting that shines down on our faces and made weird shadows on our faces. It was just uncomfortable. We will definitely be back for that pizza and slowly work on completing the Beer Tour.

Never. Again. I'm not even sure I can summarize this experience in the amount of space a reader has the patience for but I will attempt to try ... THE YAYS 1. It's over. THE NAYS 1. Waited 13 minutes before a server [S1] rrived at the table to take our drink order. 2. 10 more minutes went by and then a different server [S2] arrived at the table, to take our drink order. 3. We told S2 about S1, gave our drink order again, and waited. 4. 10 minutes later we flagged down a third waiter [S3] and said we've given our drink order twice, and neither waiter has filled it. 5. One of the Ss brought us drinks and took our food order. 6. We waited another 30 minutes and flagged down a fourth waiter [S4] to inquire about our food. 7. A few minutes later, a woman with very brave eyelashes approached our table and said they forgot to put in my nephew's pizza. At that point I had a WWYD moment and I (gently, somewhat) laid into her about the entire experience. She comp'ed a large part of our bill. 8. We spoke to 5 different OC employees, but i can't give you any of their names because not one of them was wearing a name tag. I assume the last visitor was a Manager, but she never introduced herself and was also tag-less. We will never risk a repeat of that experience, nor any part of it, again. My 2 stars are (as you likely know) for the OC grub of course. Get it together, Thornton!

I've gone in a couple of times during Happy Hour, most recently yesterday afternoon. The bartender (Bre) introduced herself to me today and she correctly recalled that I had visited previously, apologizing for not introducing herself the first time. I was impressed by her memory skills. She makes a good mojito and doesn't skimp on the ingredients. Old Chicago seems to have shifted their menu several times over the last several years as they try to find a niche between serving a good pie and alternating it with enough bar fare to maintain a "sports bar" feel. I wish they had a few more options on this end, as pizza and alcohol become very heavy very quickly. They've recently added some "small plates" including seasoned fries, pretzel bites, and fried pickles. These aren't anything to write home about. The Old Chicago standards (Calzones, pepperoni rolls, etc) are always very good and have never had a bad experience with them. The kitchen staff at this location seems to communicate regularly with the service staff--there are very few delays. Someone from the kitchen hand delivered my "to-go" marinara when Bre got tied up at the bar.

Food is good and so is the service, but the music was too loud. If I wanted to go to club I would have. I'm here to eat and talk with my friends. Couldn't even have a conversation because the music was too loud.

Best location for Old Chicago in the North Metron Area. The burgers are great, I got a classic cheeseburger. Very meaty patty, no "where's the beef!?" Commercial replaying here : D And the cheese was excellent. My fiancé had a fat tire beer from tap and said it was awesome. :) We must be having bad luck with servers, the one we had was Lizz, friendly but was very flirtatious. I understand being a waitress requires people skills and friendliness and I respect that. But when you go over the line into flirtatious and only talk to the gentleman at the table, flaunting your body and giving "cute" looks, it goes waayy over the line into...well let's just say you're not working at Hooters. But other than that it was great food and a good atmosphere and an awesome beer on tap selection . :):)

Had the dog with us because we had to leave home quickly and forgot his leash. Hub Googled "restaurants which allow dogs in Thornton" and up came a Yelp saying this Old Chi did. We were the only ones on the patio and ordered beers. After waiting longer than expected for a Thursday afternoon, we were told the dog had to be outside the patio fence. So we left. We dog lovers are legion so our money goes to DOG FRIENDLY PLACES. Oh yah, we're not on the lamb, had to leave the house quickly for a showing - selling the domicile.

We went by Old Chicago today. Wow, the bartender was not very friendly at all. We had a coupon, and he gave us grief for it. I guess he had to get a manager to get it through the register, and that was an issue for him Now is that a way to treat a good customer that has come to this location for years? He was a grumpy soul complaining about all the work, and said he would get to us when he had a chance. He told me I could come back and help pour beer behind the bar as a joke. Customer service is certainly lacking here. They need to hire some folks that make going out for dinner or a drink a joy not a stressful night out.

  • Khampha K.

Service here was really slow for lunch time but I think it's because everyone comes for the all you can eat pizza buffet which looked pretty good. I ordered a California chicken burger. It was average- nothing too special. My girlfriend ordered some kind of meatball slider which looked pretty good. I would rate old Chicago as the average pizza joint with a wide selection of beers. It a good place to sit down and hang out with your friends though.

Great experience. Came in on a Saturday night around 7pm. We waited about 15 minutes. Our server Sabrina was very attentive. The beer selection here is fabulous. Food Is Always good. We have been here many times before and have always had a good experience. Hot wings are always a hit with a cold beer or two....or three. ...or four! Thanks Old C! See you soon.

Been to this location for many years. Really like the new decoration and the way they redid the store. Wait staff is very friendly as are the bartenders. Food is consistently good for dine in.

Ordered sliders. Got a dry, shriveled burger patty with soggy "crispy" onions and a moldy bun. Good thing I flipped it over before consuming that green nastiness.

Slow service was our first issue. Secondly, out waiter was missing for long periods of time, until an unfriendly manager took out drink and food order. When our pizza finally arrived it wasn't cut. By the time we were ready to leave we waited 50 mins on the patio with no sign of our waiter to get the check. Not impressed with the service on this visit.

  • Ricky N.

Was seated promptly and only because it's slow. I came with the intention of ordering ahead so my wife may join me.for lunch and my waiter had came and gave me the drinks I ordered pretty quickly. But 15 minutes have gone by (yes I'm doing this review live) and he hasn't come back to take my order. I'm not recommending this location nor will I be bringing my business back to this franchise.

Great pizza! Hard to park and very crowded. Be prepared to wait a long time for a table in a small cramp entry.

  • Sean S.

I stare at the menu hoping that something might taste good on this dreary grease laden menu, but alas the only thing I can find is the fried zucchini. The beer selection is passable but the food and service are miserable. I keep on giving Old Chicago locations a try, but I'm afraid to say the only location worth eating at is the original location on Pearl Street in Boulder.

My husband was never a huge fan of Old Chicago until we moved to the Thornton area. With only a small selection of restaurants around us, this is our absolute favorite! They have new branding, a new look, a better beer selection, and an updated menu. I LOVE their Tavern Thin Crust pizza and normally I am a fan of the Chicago style crust. If you haven't tried the thin crust, do yourself a favor and go for it. I was skeptical at first, but I wouldn't go back to the thick crust if you paid me! Our new favorite appetizer is the Jalapeno cheddar pretzels. The Tillamook cheddar is baked right in and the sauce is the same cheese. Amazing! The service has been great pretty much every time we have gone. We sit at the bar typically and there is an older gentleman (cannot remember his name) that always serves us. He likes to make the experience personal - he gets our names and we have playful banter with him. Great experience and delicious food! You really can't go wrong.

Staying up here north of Denver, while conducting a housing search. We decided to stop in for dinner at about 6pm. It was busy, but not packed. No wait for our party of 4. Lots of tv's, with most of them tuned to a Rockies game tonight. The music was a little on the loud side for having dinner conversation. Our server, Sarah, promptly introduced herself, and took our drink order. We received our drinks quickly, and that was the end of the decent service. She really was not interested in our experience. We had the Italian nachos, a couple of side salads and a thin crust margarita pizza and calzone. She did check on us a couple times but it felt insincere. She refilled one of our waters one time, but mine was empty, and no refill. The real show of poor service came when she delivered boxes for our leftovers by placing them on our stack of dirty plates! Hello! Clear the table! The salads were decent, nothing outstanding, nothing really horrible. The pizza crust didn't seem fresh, and the pizza was slightly bland. I didn't taste the calzone. I guess I should have stuck to my tradition of dining at independent restaurants, rather than a chain.

The only reason this place gets 2 instead of 1 is the great beer selection. The beer tour I hear is fun. The thing that is bad about this place is the food. Last time I ordered a Chicago Seven Stromboli. Italian sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, red onions, mushrooms and black olives with melted mozzarella cheese wrapped and baked in dough. It was weak. I payed like 9 bucks for it. It was small and greasy. The fries are bad too. They are the frozen ones from a bag. Really? You can't just cut some potatoes? The burgers are nothing special. The calzones are bready and greasy. The worst is the pizza. I used to live in New Jersey. This place does not serve pizza. It's like sauce and cheese bread. High prices for what you get, bad texture on the dough, bad sauce, just bad. I never had Chicago style pizza in Chicago, but I bet this is not what they had in mind. The only reason I've been here so many times is that I get invited by people. I will say something next time. I can't handle it one more time.

This is my go to restaurant. Always agreat time and meal. My new fav is the chicken philly calzone. AMAZING. Even great reheated. Love the staff and atmosphere. Always giving me coupons so keeps me coming back.

The wings and pizza are awesome and this one has buzztime trivia which I love. You gotta do the world beer tour!

  • Jeremy C.

I came here one night because I realized I hadn't eaten all day. I got a calzone and the thing was gigantic, and at a reasonable price. This could have fed at least 10 starving people in Ethiopia or just one fat me. Yeah, I chowed down and made sure there was nothing left for anyone. Oh, they also have a ton of microbrews on tap and something where you can become part of their beer club by drinking them all. I may just have to partake in that.

  • Pamela B.

Original Review: Huge beer selection. Nachos were massive. Wings were big and tasty. Dinner salad is not worth the money compared to the side salad. Salad dressings are very tasty. I have had better calzones elsewhere. The service is hit or miss. The prices are inflated. Will only go back with a coupon or Happy Hour. Update: Happy Hour Specials on food have been decreased. Which was the reason I went back. Nachos weren't as big as before. Wings weren't as big. Not sure if we just really got lucky the first couple of times or if something got changed. But, haven't been back since. :-(

  • Casey C.

Come on, it's Old C's. Greasy food, good beer, fair price. Nuff Said.

    (4)
  • Jonathan M.

Calzone was average tasting and produced a moat of oil about 1/6th inch thick around the plate when it was finished. Average sized when split, could have been bigger. Side salad and beer were decently paired, but way too pricey. I shouldn't have to spend 18$ for half a calzone, half a side salad, and one beer. Along with the stomach ache I had a few hours after I got home, this is reason enough for me not to ever go again.

  • Robbie S.

Everyone knows Old Chicago's pizza is just plain amazing! What I'll review is the service. On a busy Saturday night we got seated right away! Not more than two minutes went by and our server greeted us with a smile. We had drinks within 8 mins and our order in under 15 mins! The manager came by multiple times to ask how we were doing. Turns out it was my 40th beer on my tour and I got a sweet bottle opener! Just by coincidence, this is also my 40th review on yelp. What do ya got for me yelp? Yelp? Yelp... Oh well :-) Overall a great visit!

  • Jolene C.

The food here is okay, similar to other Old Chicago's. Really, you would come here for beer and to get something to sop up the beer in your belly - there's nothing on the menu worth raving about. I ordered a salad with chicken and the meat was rubbery, overcooked, and flavorless. I was not impressed. My companion ordered a pan pizza, which had more flavor, but it was soggy on the bottom. Gross. All in all though, I think my biggest issue is the lack of cleanliness. I've been here twice and both times the table I've been seated at has been sticky (cleaning residue, spilled soda just rinsed off with water?) and the place has a strange smell when you walk in. It's hard to describe - it's like a mix of urine and stale beer. It's a good place to have a beer, not so great to have a meal.

    (2)
  • Alaina C.

Pizza was way overpriced. Good but not that good for the price. I ordered to go and they told me the gluten free pizza was big enough for two people. We got it and it was the smallest pizza ever!!! Such a rip off! Plus the service was horrible. After walking in we had to ask for help which you should never have to do

  • Lance O.

It has been a few weeks since our visit here, but because it was sub-par, I figured I should get around to finally posting my review of it. All the times I have been here previous, everything had been fantastic, from the service to the food to the restaurant itself. This time was far different. It was a mid-afternoon on a weekend and the restaurant side was nearly empty. There were many empty booths all piled with dirty dishes and the whole time we were there, the tables never got bussed and cleaned and the service was terribly slow, neither of which made since because it was so quiet there. The food was also average at best. Then the worst part was, we had ordered a special that we saw in a mailing we received and when we got the bill it seemed a little high, but we didn't question it, but when we got home we found that we were overcharged. Definitely not our best experience here by a long shot.

I've been to this restaurant quite a few times. Today had to be the worst experience I have ever had. We ordered hamburgers that took 45 minutes to get out! We counted that our waiter came to our table 3 times the whole night. Me and my friends bacon was burnt and a well done hamburger was burnt as well. Why did it take 45 minutes to get an appetizer to us out? Nachos? Really? And we received onion after we said NO ONIONS? We first ordered french fries but tonight they said we do not have french fries? How does a multi-million company run out of french fries? Please address this with your kitchen manager.

Sat at a table today for ten minutes without so much as an "I'll be right with you." Ended up walking out and the hostess didn't even say a word as we left. Terrible service every time we come here. If you're in the mood for old c's, drive the extra distance to the one off of Sheridan and 120th. They blow these guys out if the water on service and food quality.

It was getting pretty late... We were feelin pretty lazy so.. .cooking at home was totally out of the question... fast food joints are thee ungood... so we decided to go to old Chicago's. They are close to our house, they have decent selection of brews and they are open late. It's not the healthiest of places to go eat but it's "A-Ok" I ordered some chicken tenders w/ a side salad. Was your standard meal. My bf always orders the same thing.. pepperoni rolls.. and we ordered beer of course. I love hoptastic beers so I ordered the Ranger IPA and then the Stone IPA :0) As for my bf he's into smoother beers - went with a 90 shilling. Now - people watching is great... lots of interesting people, it's like getting a dinner and a show.. The service is great, staff is attentive. The downfall of our visit - someone that was sitting behind me had HORRID gas... :o( I was not a happy camper.. I had to move my seat.. I didnt want to be rude or anything but GEEZ, they kept on coming.. and my bf was laughing his butt off at me. One of the hostesses there should smile more.. she seemed so cranky and unhappy. If you don't like your job and you can't make the best out of it then go get a different one. I'm not a huge fan of my job.. but I don't spread my negativity to the world. So other than the gas from another customer and the unhappy seat director Old Chicago's is a decent place for people watching, brews and a greasy bite to eat on a late week night.

I don't get out to this Old C's very often, but we were just there the other night for a change. Like all of the Old Chicago locations, they have lots of beer and good munchies. I like their pizza, though I rarely eat a meal there. We usually just go for beers and appetizers. They have a new "Small Plates" menu that is really working for me. Instead of the usual fried and greasy stuff on the appetizer menu, these smaller items are a bit healthier, smaller and cheaper. Sometimes, that's just what you need. We tried a few of the Small Plates. The Tomato & Mozarella Caprese was probably the favorite, with just a few slices of cheese, tomatoes and basil. It even has a few olives to snack on. It isn't the best caprese I've had -- not by a long shot -- but it was decent and well under $5.00. We had the OC's Chicago Dog Sliders next. They basically wrap some small hot dogs in pizza dough and cook them up like little pigs in a blanket. The odd thing is that they were served with underripe tomato slices, a pepper, and a side of sweet relish. You can't really dip a hot dog in relish, so it was a strange side. We ordered some mustard and that worked just fine. We completely skipped the sides. The Fried Mac N' Cheese sounded better than it was, in my opinion. It was basically some dry mac and cheese that was breaded and fried in chunks. It was missing something, and I wasn't really a fan. I really miss their pretzels! They phased them out, and I thought they were very good. Hopefully they bring them back someday. The beer was good and the service was friendly. We'll be back.
