Fantastic! We stopped in on a Tuesday for some tapas and drinks, and were pleased to discover that they were running some pretty great deals. Happy hour from 4-6 included half off tapas, $2 draft beer-choice of a Spanish brew or the Telluride Brewing Co. brown ale, and select $7 wines by the glass. We ordered the tapas sampler for two, which included a variety of the cold tapas and two select hot tapas. For the hot, we ordered the salmon napoleon and fried shrimp. The cold tapas included marinated olives, roasted tomatoes and bell peppers, almonds, bruschetta, and potato quiche. My favorites were the olives and roasted peppers and tomatoes. The quantity of food was enough that we left for about two hours and later returned for their two for one entrees (Tuesday special). We ordered the steak and lamb thinking that we would have some leftovers. Once we got the dishes, we realized how absurd that was. The entrees were so delicious that we finished them then and there. Service was also great. Had everything been regularly priced, the meal would have been about $250, in which case I would have given four stars, not five. But with specials, we walked out of there feeling like we got more than our money's worth. If you're in Telluride on a Tuesday, you should definitely consider The Village Table as a dining option.

Wish we shared the above reviews. Horrible service and very sub-par food. Overpriced...wow...so dissapointed.

Telluride is full of good restaurants, but it's harder to get a nice bite to eat up in Mountain Village. So glad we stumbled on Village Table during TFF! Incredible tapas (the cheese plate and almonds especially), delicious cocktails (with fancy straws!) and awesome options for the vegetarians among us. Best best best.

What a wonderful addition to the Telluride restaurant scene. We ate here during Film Festival and our meal was great-the salmon on crispy fresh salad and the trout with polenta were delicately prepared, perfectly seasoned, beautifully plated and served by a friendly helpful staff person. The chef/owner and his wife were so welcoming- The Village Table will be a highly anticipated part of our next trip to Telluride. A+!

For our last night in Telluride, my friends and I chose this restaurant because it is conveniently located in Mountain Village (where we stayed) and the menu looked terrific. Everyone loves tapas! We ordered (for three of us): 1) a pitcher of sangria. each glass was $7. The pitcher is $35. Pitcher had about 5 large glasses in it, but I'm not sure any of us would've ordered a second glass. It wasn't bad, per se, but it wasn't good enough that I would've ordered a second glass. 2) entree: red trout with green beans and hominy grits... delicious!) salad: mediterranean salad (yummy olives); tapas: jamon and the potato and egg. 3) dessert: I was really excited for the upside down apple tartin with carmelized whatever. Esp when the waiter tells me the chef was making it fresh. Ummmm... it's a sub par apple pie (not upside down, NOT carmelized, and def. nothing to write home about) with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. bottom line: it's not any more expensive than other restaurants in Telluride/Mtn Village, but I would've rather gotten a salad and donut at Baked in Tellurde.

The food here is AMAZING. I have gotten the steak and spaghetti and they were both way better then any restaurant's options in the town of telluride. The food costs a lot like all the restaurants in the area but, it very well worth the price!

It's nice to have this spot as an option in the mountain village. The crispy tempeh sandwich for lunch is my favorite. The paella is also fab.

We met the owner on the lift and she was very friendly so we had to give it a try. The staff is 5 stars...friendly, knowledgable, helpful and not pushy. We went for happy hour (4-6) as I was exhausted after skiing in powder and wanted to be in bed by 730! The location is great and the atmosphere fantastic. They have an extensive wine list including several good choices by the glass. My glass was a generous pour and excellent. The food was fine. Very large selection of tapas. We tried 3... The cod (a little mushy) the artichokes (which were tasty, just not what I was expecting) and their special of the evening, the muscles (good, but not wow). I really wanted to give a 5 star because everyone was so friendly, location, selection, but our son in law is a cordon blue chef, so I tend to enjoy really good food! We would go back and try their entrees.

I ate here two nights ago with the boyfriends family. We had a reservation so we were seated right away. I noticed they put blankets on the chairs of the outside tables...I thought that was a really cute idea for anyone who was crazy enough to eat outside that day (we sat inside). I ordered the sangria and later a glass of ganache. The sangria was pretty good, nothing special though. The ganache was a great glass of wine! For an appetizer, my boyfriend and I shared the quail which I thought was really good! We also split the lamb shank and the trout for dinner. The lamb shank was good, but nothing I would write home about. The trout was AMAZING!!! The grits were fantastic and the trout was cooked to perfection! My favorite part was the skin. Nice and crispy and salty. I wish I had ordered that dish all for myself! The service was great however there was a little mix up with the happy hour prices (some of it was fixed). All in all I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Especially if you want some trout!

WOW -- a great find in Telluride! My wife and I recently bought a condo in Telluride and were very eager to taste some of the local cuisine. In walking through Mountain Village, we found The Village Table. We arrived around 7:00 pm. Although the restaurant was fairly crowded, we were fortunate as a recent cancellation allowed us to be seated immediately. The menu has quite a large and unique variety of foods, which made ordering quite difficult. After a specialty cocktail, for me a Ginger Mojito and for my wife, a Magic Mai Tai, we were able to make our decisions. For an appetizer, we had the Albondigas Meatballs and the Artichoke Hearts -- both were amazing and exceeded our expectations. For the main entre, I had the Traditional Paella and my wife had the Lamb Shank. We were both extremely impressed with the combination of flavor and overall presentation that the chef was able to create! For desert, we split the warm chocolate bread pudding -- a must have if you are a chocolate lover. The service and atmosphere were fabulous. I am looking forward to our next trip and re-visiting The Village Table.

I wanted this place to be good. It is not. Waited for an hour for mediocre food and bad service. It was expensive and we felt like we waisted our money.

What a great new find for Telluride! This place has it all -- great ambiance, creative mixed drinks, delectable tapas if you want something light, and the full monty of European-Spanish flavored entrees. Try the paella, the house specialty, the roasted chicken or fish special. The only thing better are the desserts. They are out of this world!

Ordered a burger and fries. The burger was a little dry and cooked well. Fries were good and the service was great! I'll go back and give them another chance.

What an experience!! Having already eaten at two of the finest places in Telluride we wandered into Village Table on our last night of vacation. We spent time at the bar with the exceptional Melissa. The VT has an incredible 'Old World' wine list and Melissa introduced us to several wonderful Spanish and Italian vintages. The wine list was very unique, many items that I had never seen before. We had a couple of the Tapas which were excellent but what put dinner over the top was the special of the night, Elk Sausage served with baked potatoes and green beans. So good we asked for extra gravy. We were fortunate enough to meet and talk with Johnny, the owner and brains behind the restaurant and his wonderful wife Janice. This is a new concept in the Mountain Village at Telluride that you might miss (as we did for a week) but now that you know its a must for any FOODIE! We will be

Wow. What a nice positive surprise Village Table was. We have been at Telluride for 5 days and dining out every nite. Village Table capped it off for us. The best food, personal service, easy ambiance, musician playing flamingo and other tunes. We loved it and this includes my wife and 2 kids. Appetizers, oysters so fresh only a dash of lemon needed. Entrees, the Paella better than the ones we had in Barcelona, pan fried quail yummy, the lamb shank done with Maharaja curry and mint accompanied by quinoa with raisins was one the best I ever had. My kids loved the chocolate bread pudding for desert, I opted for the delicious flan. Folks, this spot in the back and quiet spot of Mountain Village is a go to place. It ranks first in my book among my 6-restaurant experience. Way to go Chef Johnny!

So, I guess my review and picture I posted isn't good enough for the Village Table. Even though I gave them an awesome review and posted a picture of my ACTUAL meal, (that I mentioned was delicious) I have been asked (10 months later) to remove my photo, by the manager Nina, so that the 20 PROFESSIONAL photos, which "depict more of what the restaurant is REALLY like" Will appear first on their page. The twenty pictures are from the same person who only has one review on yelp AND it isn't even for The Village table!! So how can professional pictures taken by a professional camera using professional lighting depict the true Essence of your restaurant, and my picture doesn't? Sounds like a scam to me. Absolutely INSULTED! I will remove my picture, but I am changing my review to one star for your outrageous request. Be careful future diners, I don't trust this place and would not eat there again. Rude!

The tapas were good but not the best I've had. The garlic shrimp was not traditional and was served individually instead of in oil. The potato egg tart was probably the best dish. The meatballs, chorizo, and patata bravas were ok. They were the most expensive tapas I've ever eaten, though. The service was nice, but I wouldn't go back.

Visited the Village Table with a group of 14 for our farewell to Telluride dinner. Our group's reviews of the food were mixed from great to awful- so writing a review of the food would be a challenge. I will say that the 3 tapas that we had- ribs, popcorn shrimp and cod balls were great. A pair of our group had the duck special- they were extremely disappointed and another pair had the shrimp pasta- also very disappointed (the shrimp was overlooked). The impetus for the 3 star rating was really more about the service. While I understand a 14 person party is a challenge we don't think our server would have been able to handle a 4 top. It took us a half hour to get all of our drinks ordered and returned. The server seemed confused and unprofessional.
