Nice for an inexpensive meal in telluride. We ate breakfast here two days. Great bagels and donuts.

Since I wrote my review the restaurant owner contacted me and asked me what was wrong with my sandwich. Here's my reply: Thanks for reaching out Jerry. I ordered my sandwich "mustard only". I was expecting fresh sliced corned beef on "Jewish style" rye bread with mustard. Fresh, house-made bread at that. I watched my sandwich being made (although I did not realize it was MINE at the time..... there was quite a line of people getting sandwiches as it was during the film festival). The person who made it took 2 slices of previously sliced and packaged rye bread and buttered them. She then placed meat that was also already sliced, possibly frozen and thawed, and packed between slices of waxed paper on each of the slices of buttered bread and then placed everything in some sort of broiling oven. After the meat was curled and slightly browned (ewww) she took the concoction out of the oven, put mustard on top of the meat, and put the two halves together. Then the whole mess was wrapped in paper to-go. The sandwich was greasy and hot, and had stringy, tough meat, and flavorless bread. As I said before: good for tossing in the trash. But, on a better note: your coffee, cookies, and other baked goods are quite yummy!

We stopped at this casual self serve bakery/pre-made sandwich and snack shop in Telluride for some quick breakfast items before hitting the road to our next stop on our trip. We had seen it the day before, but late in the day when most of the racks were empty but we knew it would serve our purpose in the morning. Lots of choices and most items nicely labeled as to potential allergens and hidden ingredients. A nice touch for those in need. We chose a variety of morning pastry rather than dessert items and some coffee. The coffee and espresso drink were both adequate, but not quite what we are used to. My blueberry muffin was really very good but my husband did not find the flavor of the filling of his cheese danish to be traditional, though it was a huge and attractive pastry. The filled churro had good flavor, a nice custard filling but was too sweet and crusty/sugary for the morning. I took a slice of vanilla pound cake for the road because it looked so traditional and I rarely find this old time favorite around anymore, but we were so full and had so many places yet to go, that I never got around to eating it. If we were here more often I am sure we could find more that we liked as the choices are so numerous, but we did not have that opportunity. We could have tried the cookies and macaroons which are family favs but for a later meal dessert, had we stayed another day.

For being such a cute little city, Telluride is lacking in the nice mountain cafe department. Luckily we found Baked in Telluride for breakfast during our stay. Their donuts were fluffy and fresh tasting. Better to get there early though as the donut rack can quickly get picked over. We also got a bagel sandwich: the deluxe on an everything bagel. The bagel itself was nothing really to write home about, but the sandwich was truly tasty, and a great breakfast to start a fun filled day in Telluride. Not a bad spot if you are just looking for something small to get your day started, but be sure to get there early as the racks do get picked over, which can leave you with the ugly donut or frozen bagels from the back.

Went here because we wanted to try something different in town while visiting for breakfast but it didn't offer many options and is mainly just a bakery. They only have pre-made breakfast sandwiches and burritos but if you go later in the morning they get kinda soggy. The burrito my dad had and the bagel sandwich i had that were pre-made were both soggy, they might have been better if we had gotten there earlier or else you can just get them to toast a bagel and put some creme cheese and lettuce on it and it would be fine.

I'll give two stars because my husband enjoyed his breakfast burrito the first day and his croissant the second but I only ate here once and my food was terrible. I selected the one gluten-free sandwich available: scrambled egg and green chiles. While it was loaded with egg, they were ice cold crammed between two slices of awful, crumbly, and flavorless gluten-free bread. On top of that, our orange juices were $5 so we spent about $22 for two OJs, a croissant, and a sandwich. Really? Big fail. I won't go back; would rather forage at the grocery store next door for an early morning breakfast (very few early morning options in Telluride; most places don't open until 8 which is a problem if you have an early tour planned.)

Ok, first of all- I hate to interrupt your staff meeting about how everyone should work every station, but I'd like to buy something from you - so if you can tear yourself away for five seconds to take my order that would be very much appreciated. Secondly, I would like a garlic bagel with tomato, cucumbers, and sprouts. Oh - no sprouts... Ok can I get spinach then? Oh - no spinach. Wait - there's a spinach salad on your menu. Why do I need to educate you on your menu? Third- you are a bakery and the muffin I picked up from the Conoco this morning tasted better than this cupcake from here. Maybe if I were stoned this would taste good.

We were so excited when we discovered Baked in Telluride... With my allergies, I was so excited by all the gluten free items they had to offer. Some items we were more impresses with than others. We bough a huge variety of items, i would have to say, most things were really crumbly, but the flavor was there.. This won't stop us from stopping in when we come to Telluride. I plan on trying their gluten free pizza the next time we come back, does look good. See you when we are back in town, Baked In Telluride.

We tried a pastry and a cookie and both were stale. The service was terrible. On the bright side - they have a couple of decent beers in tap. Won't return.

I have a lot of dietary restrictions. A LOT. Fortunately, they were all accommodated at Baked In Telluride. When we arrived I was, honestly, overwhelmed. All the baked goods looked great. Only a couple were gluten-free and not an option since I can't do dairy or eggs either. After looking at the menu and walking out, I went back in. After waiting in line, the cashier helped me order something that would work. And, the food tasted amazing! If you want something off the menu, go ask. They'll make it and happily accommodate adjustment. Thanks BIT! I'll be back!

Breakfast burritos and sandwiches are not good and overpriced. Pastries are fine. I've been going here for many years, and the quality of the food has severely declined.
(2)
Markus N.
Small and crowded with only a few gluten-free selections, and if it's a day like today, they're probably out of them. Orders prepared incorrectly, refunds received, going back to Brown Dog Pizza - because who wouldn't (every day, at least once). Save yourself a trip and skip Baked In Telluride.

Premade gas station food. They can't actually Make anything custom. I just needed egg whites, nope can't do it. My husband chorizo burrito was nothing special.

This place makes me happy. It would make me even happier if they served ginger molasses every day. I literally come here because of the ginger cookies and was depressed they weren't serving them this week. However, pastries are amazing, fresh and a delightful treat after a long hike.

Yummmmm! I was in Telluride for the 4th of July and came here and found heaven. I ate a slice of pizza the size of my face - and it was so delicious - and the doughnut that trumps all other doughnuts in the universe. I don't think I can ever eat another doughnut without sheer disappointment and reminiscing about the coffee cake doughnut I got from Baked in Telluride.

Amber L.
This is more of a grab-n-go/cafeteria style place than a sit-down breakfast joint. Had a mocha and one of their bagel breakfast sandwiches one morning. Drink wasn't bad, but I couldn't finish the egg, bacon, and bagel breakfast sandwich. The whole thing tasted like a mushy mess. Their pastries looked and smelled great. Would try again, but would try the pastries instead.

Great food selection, whether you want pizza, a sandwich or a big burrito. Would have 5 stars but a bit pricey...

I love their croissants! Great coffee and laid back atmosphere. Always stop here before the bluegrass festival.

Amazing pesto pasta. I actually am not a fan of coconut but their macaroon is delish!!! You have to try this place out of you are In the area. Our fav!

Great baked goods, cases are loaded with mouthwatering pastries, breads, etc, including (yes!) authentic bagels, and it's all a treat. Sandwiches, pizza, good picnic fare, too, etc., and even dinner specials. Get there early for best breakfast pickings, it opens at 5:30 and hungry locals grab bites on the way to work, especially in winter. This place is an institution, run for decades by founder/owner, Jerry Greene, and truly a locals' hangout favorite...kids love it, plus there's an outdoor porch with great views.
(5)
Jason B.
If you like rock hard bagels then come here. The display cases remind me of a 7-11. Was hoping for a lot more!
(1)
Todd W.
It was not great but...OK. I did eat here twice for a light lunch both times. The first time I got a bagel and it was so so. I was kinda shocked the lack of bagel selection. The second time I ordered the turkey sandwich and it was just OK nothing special. I did love sitting out side and looking up at the falls!
(3)
Abby S.
As a local in Telluride, I eat here all the time. Their bread products are amazing and their pizza is fantastic. The prices are also lower than most places to eat in town. Definitely recommend to pop in here to grab a quick breakfast: either a crescent, bagel or any of the pastries. Tip: the crescents and bagels in the showcase to the right of the cashiers are my favorite and generally are filled with eggs, spinach, bacon, cheese, etc.
(5)
Mr B.
Well, I was kind of confused when I saw this place listed as a bakery and pizza place but indeed, both baked items are plentiful here. No exposure to pizza but did grab a few scones to go and they were ok, not great. This place has the widest selection of baked goods in town with really nice authentic pastries and croissants but somehow it was a let down. The seating environment lacked in many ways this we took to go and thankfully I found an amazing scone at another local spot otherwise I would have been let down big time
(4)
Bayasa B.
Everything we had here was delicious. Everything here tastes handmade and real, no part of your meal will make you wonder if the ingredients have been sitting dehydrated in a box for 8 months. The selection of doughnuts and other baked goods was also really great! I highly recommend the chocolate macaroons; they're very yummy without being sickeningly sweet, and the Danishes were of equal caliber. All in all, a real treat
(5)
Blake S.
There's no waiter here and you order at the counter. I had the pizza. It was reasonably priced and a decent piece of pizza. This was good for a quick, non expensive lunch
(3)
Lisa D.
Great, delicious muffins and soups. Have a great selection of pastries. Not The friendliest staff but good food. It can be very busy during peak season so make make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
(4)
Danny G.
The salmon was excellent as.well as the penne pasta. The portions were fairly generous but the selection of wine was lacking but no surprise considering the type of casual setting. Overall a good experience...even were accommodating for my ignorance about Italian food...always assume it comes with red sauce..yuck!

The pizza was just ok but the service was horrible. We ordered the meat pizza and got a veggie pizza. When I went to the front, the guy seemed so stoned he couldn't even give me any options to correct the situation. So I asked if I could get a new pie and he stated that he could give me a refund for the difference in the cost. How could an establishment not be able to correct an order?? He couldn't do much because the manager wasn't there. I also attempted to retrieve the 10% discount from yelp for checking in and the guy said he had no idea what it was and would not honor it. Definitely not worth the hassle. A prime example of how legalizing marijuana has not done Colorado any good! Lol.

Every thing I have had here has been stale or just mediocre. I have never been in after noon so I'm not sure how things are getting stale. Unless, they let there baked goods sit out for days. I don't recommend this place.
(1)
Duane A.
This establishment is a terrible and provides even worse customer service. The food is decent but the service sucks. I got a mediocre philly cheese steak sandwich that was very dry with hardly any meat. What is more, when I asked to heat up a pastry, I got refused by the manager who wouldn't give me a reason why. Outrageous, what is this!? It's a bakery of all places. I'm never going back
(1)
Marvin S.
If you are into stale food this is your place. Take the rock hard baguette I purchased today for example. Upon initial inspection in the rack it had all the trappings of a run of the mill fresh baguette. However, when i made it all the way home (45 mins drive) I had the unique pleasure of discovering a rock hard two day old bread club. I must say it was very nice of the employee that suggest that I drive back 45 minutes to return it and get my money back. That's customer service. I wonder if Cindy bread offers stale selections as well? I'll have to only go there from here on out.
(1)
Trevor A.
The old guy at the counter refused to heat my pizza roll. Ridiculous. Never coming again. I don't want to eat a cold pizza roll.

Any place full of locals is bound to be great right? Absolutely loved the freshness of their baked goods! The family shared a bagel, cinnamon sugar donut, chocolate frosted donut, and a plain croissant and they were all awesome! The donuts were the thicker kind, more old school but still yummy. Croissant was soft and fluffy, very delicious. Hot chocolate was good, made with syrup and steamed milk. I can see why all the locals are in here every morning!

My favorite morning ritual in my favorite town is to grab an americano at the steaming bean & a pastry from baked. Then, take a walk down the river trail or a ride on the gondola. There is nothing better :)

This place was really yummy and adorable...especially in telluride. The counter service was alright ,but I will say the crumb cake donut, chocolate Do-sant, and pumpkin bar with glaze made up for it. There is a huge display case and you go and select what you want! It's really fun to hike then treat yourself at this little bakery:)

I spent the past week skiing in Telluride and practically lived at this place. I'm a lifelong donut connoisseur, and their donuts are the best I've ever had. I'd be 400 lbs. if I lived there. Breakfast & lunch sandwiches and salads are awesome, coffee is rich & bold and the cherry turnover is amazing. Cool place with reasonable prices!

let's just say EW! interested in breakfast sandwiches or pastries? they look oh so good, but the bfast sandwiches were flavorless & the pastries were subpar. interested in lunch? so expensive for the quality & quantity you get. interested in a slice of pizza to go? sure go for it IF you enjoy pizza that has been sitting in the warmer all day long, and cracks apart when you try to bite into it. so gross, won't make that mistake again -- both of our pizza slices were nasty, and it wasn't even after hours. interested in coffee drinks? the coffee is mediocre & tastes burnt, though the lattes have been solid. i gave baked several chances to shine, especially since it was so close to my work, but i finally had to give up. no thank you, not again. also, i've witnessed the owner berate his staff loudly as i've waited in line...the staff has always been friendly & pleasant with me, so i didn't understand why he was yelling about how they were lazy. one poor girl was going home sick, and the 2nd girl had to defend her reason why she sent the sickie home. i've been sitting in the customer seating eating a sandwich & also heard the owner complain loudly in the seating area about how crappy his staff is. why would anyone want to support a place with a boss this jerky?

Baked in Telluride is the place to go for a quick meal - breakfast, lunch or dinner. And, it's a bakery that has beer and wine ... and pizza ... and pasta ... and sandwiches... and even tacos! On the bakery side of things there is a case full of a variety of traditional donuts, filled donuts, fritters, bagels, baguettes, and loaves of breads ... oh, and cookies. If sugar isn't your thing, they also offer pre-made breakfast burritos. They aren't knock your socks of burritos, but the chorizo & egg are jam packed and will sustain you for several hours. There are a variety of sandwiches on the menu, or you can make your own. Same goes for the pizza. I wanted to try a pizza with the spicy peanut sauce ... but when you're in Telluride only for a weekend, there's only so much eating one can do. Half of the place is dedicated to seating and there are a few picnic tables outside as well. Telluride wouldn't be the same without Baked in Telluride - we were happy that they were able to successfully rebuild after experiencing such a devastating fire.

This was my first time back to Baked since their re-build. Nicely done, tons of space and more options than previously. We had a bagel with lox and all the fixings and a green chili croissant; Both were tasty. What I was not impressed with was the state of the "dining room". There was only 3 other people in there when we arrived so not terribly busy but the place was a mess. Papers, crumbs and trash were scattered on the tables. The staff just chatted behind the counter ignoring the untidiness of the tables. I think next time I'm in Telluride, I wouldn't go back since there are so many other options with better service.

Baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are all good. Unfortunately, TWICE I have been there where the baked goods section was being replenished by someone NOT USING GLOVES. I find this disgusting. Why doesn't the staff know better?

We ordered pizza over the phone and came to pick it up. I walked in and paid for it. Then the guy who took my money just disappeared. I thought he went to get the pizza, but I just never saw him again! After waiting and looking around for about 10 minutes, I saw what appeared to be two pizzas inside a warming box on the counter. I asked another worker if that could be my pizza, and she said yes, and began to charge me for it again. I told her I have already paid for it, but the worker who took my money never gave me my pizza. She just looked at me, handed me the pizza without another word. No apology or anything. I think they should rename the place, "Stoned in Telluride". For almost $50.00 for two pizzas, I expected better service than this!

Michele W.
Great selection of baked goods. 9 different fresh baked bread options to choose from for sandwiches, home made soups, home made juices, etc. It's pretty busy and feels like a typical bakery or deli. Everything was delicious
(4)

Food is good, but service is rushed and can be a little rude even when there isn't any other customers in line. What's the hurry??!

The cream cheese brownie and was to die for, hubby had the cinnamon roll and said it was so so awesome and fresh!

Baked in Telluride is an institution in the town. It's the go-to bakery for everyone - local and visitor alike. The unpretentious friendliness of everyone working and supping there makes it even more charming. And the baked goods are super to boot. Fresh bagels, breads, donuts, cookies, desserts and more are always available for hungry patrons. Also, they make breakfast (my uncle's favorite is "Toad in the Hole" - toast with a fried egg in the middle of it, and my dad loves their crossaint), lunch (sandwiches, salads, burritos etc) and dinner (pizza - eaten there or taken out and pasta). There are also daily specials to choose from. Everything tastes fresh and the prices are very reasonable. A ski vacation just isn't complete without at least one stop there for a sweet or a pizza, in my opinion. So go, go, go when you visit Telluride - it's so worth it.

Third day stopping by. So far we've sampled scones, cookies, bagels, and cupcakes. Scones and bagels are fantastic, cupcake a little too sweet even for our sugar crazed 8 year old! Coffee is great and above all service is friendly and fast! We plan on stopping back in for the remaining two days of our trip.
(5)
Monica P.
OMG awesome bakery. Can't speak for their lunch and dinner options, but they had one of the best bacon and egg croissants I have ever eaten! Yum!! :)

My daughter can't get enough of this place... We ride our bikes in the morning to get pastries and espresso... BTW, there espresso is some of the best I've had... The ladies running the counter are super nice and are patient with my 6 year old who likes to sign the receipt... The pizza is great as well...

Toughest Philly CheeseSteak sandwich ever! Even the bread was tough.

Tried a few things while on vacation for the weekend. Got the ready-made chorizo and egg burrito. It was pretty good but more sweet than spicy. I also tried the cheese danish, green chili bread, and bottled OJ. This all ran me $15. The cheese danish was decent and the green chili bread was pretty good. I would give this place 3.5 stars but since that's not possible I'll bump it to 4 stars due to the quick service and big selection. I walked in around 9 AM to a line of about 15 people but it went quickly. I would probably go back next time I vacation.

This place gets glowing reviews in the tourist magazines, so thought would give a try on a festival weekend in summer on a sunday afternoon. There were about 4 people in a fairly large dining room, not usually a good sign. As I go to place my order there is one staff member serving as cashier. It looked as though there were 5-6 people in front of me in line so I just waited. Then noone ever ordered. Turns out they had already ordered and were standing there chit chatting with the friend / family member who was working the cash register for an extended period of time. Gossiping, looking on each others cell phones, etc. After a few minutes of waiting there, I asked if I could order. They all looked at me like I was the rude one......please. So I asked for two slices of pepperoni pizza and a drink. As I'm about to pay the person heating up the pizza tells the cashier, we only have one slice of pepperoni. Um it was 4 in the afternoon, could you not start another one and I could wait?! Too frustrated to deal with it, so just bought the one piece. The slice itself was ok, nothing special. The sauce was probably the best part because it wasn't too acidic. I wont go back. The service was awful. The food mediocre, and 5 bucks for a slice is too much unless its spectacular. Disappointed.

YUM YUM YUM. Did I mention YUM? Breakfast burrios were delicious! There are 2 kinds offered; chorizo and egg and egg and potato. Combine that with 2 coffees and great breakfast! It was withing walking distance from our Inn and it is the institution that everyone talks about. The variety of baked goods, pizza and mexican choices looked delicious. Definitely need to hit this place up again!

Baked in Telluride... Great for breakfast, OK for other things. The first thing I had at BiT was the pastrami sandwich, which was disappointing. For some reason, I always assume pastrami will be hot. Other than that, though, some of their other dinner items are tasty. The bagel with lox was decent. Not what you get in New York, but still respectable. And the doughnuts... Good heavens, those doughnuts. The raised glazed doughnuts run circles around Krispy Kreme. Get there early, though, because they run out.

Chris H.
I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I was not impressed at all. I spent $12 on a sandwich with no sides while my fiancee spent $8 on a bowl of soup which was entirely too much for the food we got but perhaps that's just Telluride. Other than the price, the service was pretty rude and dismissive and the pastry we bought for desert was bland and seemed to be missing any sign of cream cheese even though it was a fruit and cream cheese pastry. I wouldn't recommend this place or discourage anyone from trying it, but it's not really anything too special in my opinion.

Back again for a great July 4th getaway. This is our regular stop for a quick morning breakfast. Everyone can get what they want. The breakfast tacos are great and are the perfect size.

This is the place for breakfast. Excellent spread. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend the donuts.

This place is an institution. When I visited Telluride as a kid, I can remember skiing to the bottom of the hill, click out, & clumping my way directly to Baked in Telluride to eat a hot slice of pizza. Rebuilt & reopened after the 2010 fire that burnt it to the ground, they still offer an array of different options. They have a great selection of sandwiches, baked goods, pizza, & other yummy-ness. Their baked goods were well-labeled for those trying to find the 'friendly' options for themselves. I was also impressed to notice how many gluten-free options they had to offer the community. Also, nothing says 'I love you' like bringing back a "Baked in Telluride" tshirt for someone.
(4)
Melissa J.
I really wish we had found his place before the morning we were heading out of Telluride! Great selection of fresh bakery treats and great prices.
(4)
John L.
Went here based on the recs for the breakfast burritos - did not dissapoint! The chorizo & egg burrito was so good, and the tortilla very fresh. Also had an excellent latte and doughnut. Definitely the place to drop in for a quick bite and a coffee before hitting the gondola as you don't have to sit down to be served (unless you want to, lots of seating).
(4)
R N.
This used to be a cool, funky little bakery with tasty treats and decent lunches for the working man. It burned, was rebuilt and now has now character. The feel is like a supermarket bakery, and the baked goods are bland and conventional. Still the best bagels around, but for good coffee and pastries I will be looking elsewhere.
(2)
G K.
It's a bakery with really good hot and cold sandwiches, hearty soups, and more. If your not up for a full-service sit-down lunch or dinner then this is your place.
(5)
Seth W.
Baked goods are remarkable, they better be for 3 bucks a pop. Food is hit or miss, but the food items they do well (pizza, sandwiches) are delicious and well portioned.
(4)

Went during lunch rush on a Wednesday. Waited 30 min for the Rueben. It was great, but they need a better system. The Greek salad was too strong on vinegar.

Jerry Greene is my hero. His bakery burned to the ground, and he built it back up with the same red barn exterior and wooden front porch. Inside, the celing vaults, and the bakery is visibly buzzing. Cakes, donuts, pastries, breads, all in a two sided, self-service case. Perfection.
(5)
Kathleen V.
Best. Donuts. Ever. I hit up BiT a couple of times for quick (not healthy) breakfasts while in Telluride on vacation. The raised donuts are absolutely delish. Service is pretty slow and the seating area inside isn't great (has a bit of a run down school lunchroom appearance to it). They also have some pretty amazing (ooey, gooey, rich) brownies.
(4)
Tommy B.
Great pastries and a really cool set up.
(4)
Michael B.
BIT is now reopened bigger and better. It might be a little more industrial than in the past but that's because they have increased their output by expanding the bakery space and dining space. The selection of pastries, bagels, muffins and bread are staggering for this little town.....good stop in the morning before that big hike, hitting the slopes or heading up the mountain to ski.
(4)
Autumn P.
I like baked in telluride. I recently moved here and learned how hard it is to find good quality breads and baked goods. I've only tried a few things here but it all seems pretty yummy. I can't steer clear of the cream filled doughnuts!! They have decent coffee too and if you refill their mugs it's only 75 cents which I think is not bad!! Can't wait to buy a big loaf of bread though.
(4)

I'm not sure I've ever had a better apple fritter... This place rocks! We make sure to hit this place every time we visit Telluride.

A great place to eat with the family. I had the lox, capers, onions on a toasted, poppy seed bagel. My kids had an awesome pizza. My wife had a veggie burrito which she loved. The variety was amazing and the quality was top notch. The kitchen staff seemed proud to serve the food. That impressed me in a tourist town. I had 3 donuts after the salmon sandwich. Sorry if I make you sick to your stomach, but I was starving after riding all morning. The crumb cake, cake donut, chocolate cake and coconut cake donuts were perfect. I have read some reviews that said the bakery selection wasn't that good in July at 4PM in the afternoon. No kidding!?! Some people are just knuckle-heads. The waste of filling shelves with very perishable baked goods everyday, during the slow season, would be disastrous. I have eaten at all the fancy restaurants in Telluride. Baked ranks at the top as far as consistently great, value-priced, variety and all-in-all vibe. Plus, you can ride down the mountain, un-strap, walk up 1.5 blocks and eat at Baked. Rad!

Does the Telluride Bakery, ship their pizza nation wide? Great Pizza - Baked in Telluride.
(5)

Great for breakfast...we stopped in after our morning hike and I guess everyone goes here. They were pretty hopping. I think they charge a bit more than I am used to for everything, but considering Telluride, you will not get a cheaper breakfast anywhere else.
(4)
M N.
Wouldn't honor the $6.49 burrito with choice of meat special they had posted outside...tried to charge us the full price ($9.99)...argued with us and wouldn't even go outside to check what was written...bad attitudes...we left...later, after great pizza at Brown Dog, we passed by they had changed the sign, thus admitting their mistake...bad business practices

I love Baked in Telluride! They have a wide selection of baked goods. I tried the stuffed croissants. They were so flaky and buttery. They were the best croissants and best stuffed croissants I have ever had.

It is true.... it can be slow, and expensive. However, one morning while waiting in line for our number to run in to get the best sunshade spot at the bluegrass festival, I ran down to Baked in Telluride to grab coffee and some food. They have egg croissants which are ridiculous. Likely ridiculously unhealthy (buttery and eggy and bacony!), but decadently good. A croissant with egg and bacon or ham baked in the croissant! I have no idea how they are able to make the croissant light and buttery and the egg inside perfectly cooked, but I am glad they do. I have also had their pizza, and while a little pricey (like everything in Telluride) I think they are good slices that are pretty big!

My family has a cabin in Rico, about a thirty minute drive outside of Telluride. Every summer we make our annual pilgrimage to Baked in Telluride. While I will admit that the pizza is not the best I have encountered, having spent a full four months living in Italy, I will say that it has a delicious bakery style crust and is made with very fresh ingredients. You can order a full pizza, or buy it by the slice, a nice option at lunch time. They also serve sandwiches and tacos. Everything is very flavorful, and best of all, this place is cheap! A rare find in a city like Telluride. The bakery makes some fantastic bread that they distribute to some of the local groceries, as well as sell in the store. My family is addicted to their Ghiradelli covered coconut macaroons. We always end up eating one there, and buying some to take back to our cabin.

BIT was an amazing bakery, that served the best bread and pizza for a very long time. Amazing staff, amazing food. Sad that it's gone now - destroyed by fire, but it will always be remembered. bit.ly/cv1fa9

I ate some of their baguettes here, and also bought cookies and a scone for the long road back to Montrose Airport. Their baguettes are OK but the sweet pastries are great. Their scones, highly packed with calories and butter, were amazing. It is so soft that it crumbles. I hate hard, burnt scones so these were perfect. The cookie was good too!

We heard a lot of great things about Baked, but other than it being a nice new building, felt we wasted our money. Rock hard bagel, rude service, barista being told she was making my coffee wrong as she made it (still served to me). Some other options looked tasty, might try it again, but the customer service must improve.

I tried the Pizza and I recommend it. But they have many baked goods that look great.

This certainly is a popular place and good for a quick bite but great it ain't. I am fine with the prices being high, the service being slow, and the seating reminding me of a school cafeteria, but given the array of many oher excellent food establishments in this town I cannot help but think that this place is seriously overrated. Sandwiches are average at best when it really comes down it and the pizza is just ok.

Great for breakfast, again it's Telluride so a donut is going to cost you $2 but it's quick and easy and it tasted good to me.

If you're not interested in a sit-down breakfast place, then definitely come here to grab your food to go from their impressively stocked self-serve display cases. Sweet and savories galore, as well as the usual coffee, tea, bottled juice & water. The line is fast and the service is friendly too.

I am only giving it 2 stars because the breakfast sandwiches are good. Still I'd say they are more expensive than a NYC breakfast, but fine, it's an expensive ski town and they were good, so I'll give them that. The pizza on the other hand...was not good. We spent $19 on a small pizza which was the size of a personal pan pizza at pizza hut!!! The pizza was mediocre at best, the sauce tasted like it was straight from a cheap jar. The price is absurd...especially if the pizza isn't delicious..and even then $19 would be a stretch!! I would not recommend this place, I saw some of the plates they offered and they looked small as well. I mean, this isn't a fancy place that has rave reviews about how good the food is, sorry but the pizza was worth about $12 at best. I will not be returning here but certainly will be returning to Telluride cause the rest of this place absolutely rocks!

BIT is back! Beautiful new building and bakery. Check it out.

Huge doughnuts. Great fresh salad. Kids wanted to go every morning for breakfast. Adults wanted to go for lunch. Don't miss this place if you are in Telluride.

I've had their three cheese sandwich for lunch, which was pretty standard and nothing outstanding. What really got me hooked on this place was their onion, potato and cheese knish - it was generous in portion, fresh and delicious. It had toasted pieces of onion sprinkled on the outside, which gave it that "umph." They also have a wide range of baked goods along with pizzas, tacos and breakfast burritos.

Bajed in Telluride is a Telluride must! It's located next door to the quaintest local grocery store (great organic food!). Baked in Telluride definetly has a "local" feel to it. You walk up to the counter, order, and pick up when your name is called. The service can be slow, but the staff is accomodating in modfiying sandwiches, and changing sides. The food is nothing extra-ordinary, but it's always fresh and tasty. As an added bonus, they deliver to Mountain Village after 5 for free!

You know you are in luck when you hit a bakery-slash-pizzeria. You are 98.3% sure that they are gonna be making their own crusts on site versus buying any of that pre-made frozen crud. During a recent three day adventure to Telluride this place was frequented by the fam twice. First we head over for pizza love and the next day for some cookie love. After a long travel day, we were seeking comfort food. In our family that frequently equates to pizza. B-I-T does a great job with the crust-sauce-cheese ratio, so the pie was quickly devoured. Not sure if we all agreed that BIT was new family fave simply because we were starving or because it was actually "that good". The next day we return to BIT for their sweet treats. I highly recommend their Oatmeal cookie - perfectly soft and chewy. But.....here is where they are losing a star. The infamous Butter Cookie......it is just inexcusable to have a crunchy hard Butter Cookie.....dang, with all the butter packed into those things, treat me right and give me some chewy goodness. So...will I go back if ever in town....you bet....but you know what I will not be ordering. :-)

Yeah it is dark and dirty, and the help is not too friendly if you are not a local. BUT, the baked goods are fantastic. Big, rich , buttery, loaded with flavor. Croissants are moist with a nice crunch, the almond filled ones are to die for. Great cookies, fruit danishes homemade doughnuts .....the list goes on. Egg, sausage and ham filled croissants were flying out the door. Did not eat lunch or dnner there but have heard nothing but complements. Sit outside and the atmosphere is fine. So what if the help looks like they were "baked" before they got to worki!:)

Lots of breakfast and baked goods options. Easy and very casual. We got donuts and a pastry and they were all yummy.

don't expect a sit down breakfast with eggs any style or a side of bacon even, but baked in telluride has this town figured out. with so many always on the go, whether it be mountain biking, a day of skiing or heading to one of their many festivals, baked in telluride offers tasty treats for breakfast, quick, easy and hand held. ranging from a massive assortment of doughnuts to filled croissants breakfast sandwiches and burritos, one has the opportunity to take their pick, be it savory or sweet, pair it with a coffee and either sit with a paper or be in their merry way... and that's just breakfast. I hear it's slammed in the busier times so get there early so you might be able to pick the best suited for you. a cool space vastly updated, but a close exterior replicate of the original building before it burned down. anyways... if you are itching for something good before the start of your daytime adventures, whatever they include, swing by here... you will be pleased.

I love this place! I had a Greek salad and my husband had a turkey sandwich. My salad was fine but the turkey sandwich was fabulous! The whole place is kind of set up weird but in a funky way. It's still expensive yet cheaper than the rest of telluride

Baked in Telluride is definitely one of the best values in town. We stop in almost daily whenever we visit Telluride. Their coffee is good, the baked goods rock, this year we tried their pizza and tacos and found both very good as well. The all time favorite though has to be the chocolate macaroons. The place can get busy, but that's to be expected from a small place with so much to offer.

This is cheap, good, and usually fast though we hit a new cashier one day. All homemade breads etc, they also have Smuggler's beer on tap. The is a place for a quick breakfast/lunch or if you want to take it to go. There is seating inside and out but the atmosphere is more like a college coffeshop.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(3)Holly O.
(2)Kay L.
(2)Kimberly J.
(1)Victoria S.
(4)joseph g.
We tried a pastry and a cookie and both were stale. The service was terrible. On the bright side - they have a couple of decent beers in tap. Won't return.
(2)Penny W.
(4)Jim C.
Breakfast burritos and sandwiches are not good and overpriced. Pastries are fine. I've been going here for many years, and the quality of the food has severely declined.
(2)Markus N.
(1)Kristina B.
Premade gas station food. They can't actually Make anything custom. I just needed egg whites, nope can't do it. My husband chorizo burrito was nothing special.
(1)Naomi M.
This place makes me happy. It would make me even happier if they served ginger molasses every day. I literally come here because of the ginger cookies and was depressed they weren't serving them this week. However, pastries are amazing, fresh and a delightful treat after a long hike.
(5)Ally D.
(5)Amber L.
(2)Tyler B.
Great food selection, whether you want pizza, a sandwich or a big burrito. Would have 5 stars but a bit pricey...
(4)Chris B.
I love their croissants! Great coffee and laid back atmosphere. Always stop here before the bluegrass festival.
(4)Rose P.
Amazing pesto pasta. I actually am not a fan of coconut but their macaroon is delish!!! You have to try this place out of you are In the area. Our fav!
(5)Mary M.
(5)Jason B.
If you like rock hard bagels then come here. The display cases remind me of a 7-11. Was hoping for a lot more!
(1)Todd W.
(3)Abby S.
(5)Mr B.
The seating environment lacked in many ways this we took to go and thankfully I found an amazing scone at another local spot otherwise I would have been let down big time
(4)Bayasa B.
(5)Blake S.
There's no waiter here and you order at the counter. I had the pizza. It was reasonably priced and a decent piece of pizza. This was good for a quick, non expensive lunch
(3)Lisa D.
Great, delicious muffins and soups. Have a great selection of pastries. Not The friendliest staff but good food. It can be very busy during peak season so make make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
(4)Danny G.
The salmon was excellent as.well as the penne pasta. The portions were fairly generous but the selection of wine was lacking but no surprise considering the type of casual setting. Overall a good experience...even were accommodating for my ignorance about Italian food...always assume it comes with red sauce..yuck!
(3)Linda R.
Lol.
(1)Marc S.
Every thing I have had here has been stale or just mediocre. I have never been in after noon so I'm not sure how things are getting stale. Unless, they let there baked goods sit out for days. I don't recommend this place.
(1)Duane A.
I'm never going back
(1)Marvin S.
(1)Trevor A.
The old guy at the counter refused to heat my pizza roll. Ridiculous. Never coming again. I don't want to eat a cold pizza roll.
(1)Sheridan M.
(4)Jen H.
My favorite morning ritual in my favorite town is to grab an americano at the steaming bean & a pastry from baked. Then, take a walk down the river trail or a ride on the gondola. There is nothing better :)
(5)Kay K.
Best Bread and rolls in town. 5*'s
(5)Ingrid S.
Got clam chowder last night , it was loaded with clams ! Husband liked the turkey sandwich !
(4)Lauren R.
(4)Jason K.
(5)Lucie B.
let's just say EW! interested in breakfast sandwiches or pastries? they look oh so good, but the bfast sandwiches were flavorless & the pastries were subpar. interested in lunch? so expensive for the quality & quantity you get. interested in a slice of pizza to go? sure go for it IF you enjoy pizza that has been sitting in the warmer all day long, and cracks apart when you try to bite into it. so gross, won't make that mistake again -- both of our pizza slices were nasty, and it wasn't even after hours. interested in coffee drinks? the coffee is mediocre & tastes burnt, though the lattes have been solid. i gave baked several chances to shine, especially since it was so close to my work, but i finally had to give up. no thank you, not again. also, i've witnessed the owner berate his staff loudly as i've waited in line...the staff has always been friendly & pleasant with me, so i didn't understand why he was yelling about how they were lazy. one poor girl was going home sick, and the 2nd girl had to defend her reason why she sent the sickie home. i've been sitting in the customer seating eating a sandwich & also heard the owner complain loudly in the seating area about how crappy his staff is. why would anyone want to support a place with a boss this jerky?
(1)Melissa H.
(5)Aimee C.
(3)Donna P.
Baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are all good. Unfortunately, TWICE I have been there where the baked goods section was being replenished by someone NOT USING GLOVES. I find this disgusting. Why doesn't the staff know better?
(3)Anne A.
(1)Michele W.
Great selection of baked goods. 9 different fresh baked bread options to choose from for sandwiches, home made soups, home made juices, etc. It's pretty busy and feels like a typical bakery or deli. Everything was delicious
(4)Jeff L.
Food is good, but service is rushed and can be a little rude even when there isn't any other customers in line. What's the hurry??!
(3)Meg M.
The cream cheese brownie and was to die for, hubby had the cinnamon roll and said it was so so awesome and fresh!
(5)Paige N.

(4)Rich G.
This is the place for breakfast. Excellent spread. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend the donuts.
(5)Paul W.
Great variety of baked goods. Liked the almond danish and chocolate eclair.

(4)Melissa J.
I really wish we had found his place before the morning we were heading out of Telluride! Great selection of fresh bakery treats and great prices.
(4)John L.
(4)R N.
(2)G K.
It's a bakery with really good hot and cold sandwiches, hearty soups, and more. If your not up for a full-service sit-down lunch or dinner then this is your place.
(5)Seth W.
Baked goods are remarkable, they better be for 3 bucks a pop. Food is hit or miss, but the food items they do well (pizza, sandwiches) are delicious and well portioned.
(4)Tim M.
Went during lunch rush on a Wednesday. Waited 30 min for the Rueben. It was great, but they need a better system. The Greek salad was too strong on vinegar.
(3)Jamie R.
Perfection.
(5)Kathleen V.
Best. Donuts.
(4)Tommy B.
Great pastries and a really cool set up.
(4)Michael B.
(4)Autumn P.
(4)Ellen B.
I'm not sure I've ever had a better apple fritter... This place rocks! We make sure to hit this place every time we visit Telluride.
(5)Paul H.
Rad!
(5)Gary F.
Does the Telluride Bakery, ship their pizza nation wide? Great Pizza - Baked in Telluride.
(5)G P.
Great for breakfast...we stopped in after our morning hike and I guess everyone goes here. They were pretty hopping. I think they charge a bit more than I am used to for everything, but considering Telluride, you will not get a cheaper breakfast anywhere else.
(4)M N.
(1)Julie L.
I love Baked in Telluride! They have a wide selection of baked goods. I tried the stuffed croissants. They were so flaky and buttery. They were the best croissants and best stuffed croissants I have ever had.
(5)Leslie W.
(4)Kalen R.
Baked went up in flames yesterday. That sucks!
(4)Anna B.

(5)Yu T.

(2)David G.
I tried the Pizza and I recommend it. But they have many baked goods that look great.
(4)Michael F.
(2)Max W.
Great for breakfast, again it's Telluride so a donut is going to cost you $2 but it's quick and easy and it tasted good to me.
(4)chewy c.
If you're not interested in a sit-down breakfast place, then definitely come here to grab your food to go from their impressively stocked self-serve display cases. Sweet and savories galore, as well as the usual coffee, tea, bottled juice & water. The line is fast and the service is friendly too.
(4)Gillian R.
(2)Steve P.
BIT is back! Beautiful new building and bakery. Check it out.
(5)M F.
Huge doughnuts. Great fresh salad. Kids wanted to go every morning for breakfast. Adults wanted to go for lunch. Don't miss this place if you are in Telluride.
(5)Sean G.
(3)Vicki M.

(4)Delicious B.
(4)Jenny J.

(5)joanna m.
I love this place! I had a Greek salad and my husband had a turkey sandwich. My salad was fine but the turkey sandwich was fabulous! The whole place is kind of set up weird but in a funky way. It's still expensive yet cheaper than the rest of telluride
(5)Sara G.
(5)David G.
