Okay. I've heard that this place was good (and seeing couple of summit county deputy cars, it had to be decent). Here's an honest review of my experience. Service was slow. We sat for about 10 mins before server realized we were there. Pizza was just ok. Definitely not worth the price. We got the Chicago style crust with bacon and pineapple. There's was no flavor and the crust was dry. There was barely any bacon. I asked for a side of ranch to add some flavor and the teanch was watery. I asked for jalapeños on half of pizza and they forgot. The only thing that was decent was their iced tea. After 1hr 40min, definitely could've used our time better. This place definitely needs an overhaul. For a place inside a hotel, there needs to be some touch up on the outside. It's not clean, weeds everywhere, and looks somewhat ghetto. There's better pizza places near by.

We always ate here when spending the night in Silverthorne because we stay in the hotel where it is situated. It's kind of a fun family tradition to order the pizzas, bring it up to the room, and watch movies while we eat. Unfortunately they stopped letting people do carryout. Not even delivery, but just picking up the pizza for carryout. Hmph. 1 star for super terrible service. Guess they lost our business for being completely ridiculous.

Gross. Went there for lunch on a Saturday, no waiting and not many customers-bad sign. Fried pickles came cold and hard. Wings were slimy. We then ordered the Bacon Club Sandwich-which arrived with no bacon on it. The burger was burnt and hard to eat. Fries were cold. Very disappointed. Local rumor is they are getting ready to shut this location down, which is a shame because there is a demand and potential here. Still feeling sick from the food we ate.

Slow service. The continents shifted in the amount of time it took for our order to arrive. In fact: our appetizer arrived AFTER our entree- while we were paying the check. Yep, that's awesome, isn't it? Go elsewhere people. Get your food in this lifetime, not in your afterlife.

I thought it was great considering it's gotta few bad reviews. I give it a 5 alone just because of the service I got from the bartender Issac. He was super friendly and very knowledgable of the beers on Tap. If you come here definitely sit at the bar if Isaac is working. Had the pizza and its was good. Will come here again when passing through.

The food was delicious. The host staff was great. Seems like they are a bit understaffed in the bar area in the evenings. Overall great restaurant.

It has taken me a week to calm down and write this review. I'm not being dramatic when I say this was a horrible experience. I'll begin by saying my husband, son and I were in from Los Angeles visiting friends that live in Denver. Upon our arrival we were starving after a day of snowmobiling. We were served drinks rather quickly then it all went down hill from there. Our waitress took our order then went MIA for 20mins. Still no food. When she returned she handed the bartender a pack of cigarettes. She did not check on us until another 10 minutes later to refill our drinks. By now the food still hadn't arrived. Bartender and waitress are MIA now and my husband saw our drinks sitting at the bar waiting to be picked up. No waitress or bartender to be found to give us our drinks. No one ever said a thing to us when my husband retrieved our drinks from the bar himself. 40 mins after we ordered our food arrived. Cold and very over done. Burnt cold burgers. Wilted lettuce. Cold pizza. This was horrible. After we requested the manger there was no apology but he had our food remade. 10 mins later our food arrived but still not right and no better. We were still hungry and now pissed. 2 hours later our bill was comped by the manger who at this point never returned to apologize and told the waitress that our bill was taken care of by the manger. She did not apologize either. We could have gone elsewhere but we needed to be on the road because a storm was coming. We got caught in traffic and had to return to Breckinridge to stay the night as we could not return to Denver. We did not have a meal until 9 pm. 9 hours after we attempted to have lunch. No apology. No management. No service. No lunch. 5 people very hungry and very disappointed. Corporate should take a long look at the management, service, food and quality of this location.

They try very hard for good food and good service but sometimes they just fall down...I think it is due to staffing issues not management. Pepsi products. Not a beer drinker so none of those reviews...lots of TV's with different sports.

Sometimes you're driving and you pull off for lunch and you have the choice of pretty much any other restaurant or the Silverthorne Old Chicago's. Well my friends, if you chose Old C's you choose wrong. First, the service. Wow, just wow, can it really be that bad? You're busy? Seriously, there are two wait staff members and 3 whole tables. I bet you're swamped! Forever to get even a hello. Fly in my drink so I sent it back, eye rolls. Really? A fly....you just want me to drink it? Then the food comes, ever pizza is room temperature. Which wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't like 50 degrees in there So yep, it was cold. I even said hey it's cold. What did they do? Told me she'd let the kitchen and management know. Okay.... I didn't tell her our pizzas were cold to get anything, but a good faith cookie or a small discount would have at least made me feel like I didn't pay a lot for a crap time. I was hungry and tired when I came in there, and I left there, hungry, tired and angry. Best $34 I spent...or not.

Their service is slow but I put up with it because you can't beet the beer selection and the wings are really good! It's my preferred spot for wings and to watch a game.

One of the only restaurants open late on a Sunday during Labor Day weekend. It's located in the La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel. Good food, good service - terrific considering there were 20 of us that "dropped in" for a late dinner! Staff were friendly & efficient.

So we usually love old chicago, if it's busy and service is a little slow, that's ok! We came for lunch today amd justin was our server. He had a full restaurant so I understand the lag. My problem is that there was this guy who I presumed was the manager so I asked amd it was his name is Larry , he walked by our table at least five times and didn't greet us or give a second look. He had long hair and looked unkempt. On his cell phone the whole time we were there not taking into consideration the customers sitting in his business. I hope his phone conversation was important, because he lost my business because of it!

The food was awesome but we were very disappointed with the service. We were seated right away, but after 10 minutes waiting for a server to acknowledge us or bring us water (which we really wanted after skiing all day!) we had to finally ask the host to send someone over. That theme continued throughout the dining experience. We waited an unusually long time for our appetizer, and it finally came out at the same time as the pizza. The experience could have been redeemed if our server had been ready and waiting with th check when we were done eating, but alas, again we had to seek her out and ask for it. Although the food was tasty, I won't be back to this particular location.

The calzone was not thoroughly cooked with very gooey dough. The waitress was very nice and friendly but missed one or two requests with our entree selections for a party of 5, understandable when you don't write things down. The manager did a great job at apologizing for the small mistakes. Thank you old Chicago silverthorne.

Such good service! And the Oh My Spaghetti Pie is to die for! Don't forget a De'Nile beer, made exclusively for silverthorne, colorado location and oh so yummy

We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night when the pizza place we wanted to go to was packed with super loud live music inside. Though there was a lengthy wait for tables, we had no trouble grabbing two seats at a long communal table in the bar area. For starters, our server was great and the pizza was delicious. I don't often have deep dish pizza, or chain pizza for that matter, but our pepperoni and mushroom pie hit the spot and I could only eat a few bites more than a single slice. Leftovers from our 14" even provided dinner the following night. We also shared a delicious med salad with feta, red onions, olives, artichoke hearts and greens. But in spite of a really fantastic beer list, especially their fresh sheet, we had some oddities with our beers. I ordered a tall Boulevard Hop Up which was described on their menu as: hop, floral, pine, citrus. Curt ordered a tall New Belgium Summer Helles which was described as: marzen, caramel, roasted, malty. Curt's didn't make complete sense to me, but what was beyond odd is that we were delivered two very light beers that looked and tasted identical. Neither of them were hoppy OR malty and they were lighter than the guy's beer next to us who poured a Coors out of a bottle into his glass. I was convinced our beers were Coors Light and I really don't know why we drank them, to be honest. The restaurant was busy and service was slowing down at that point so we didn't bother. To add insult to injury, when our tab came, both beers were correctly numbered and named on the receipt but the prices were $1+ more apiece than listed on the printed menu book. Our server rang them up right so it was no fault of his, but their system apparently had the prices wrong. This took considerable time to fix, and who knows how long they'd been ringing overpriced beers up? It was pretty weird and has me in no hurry to return.

Horrible! First off I'm from Chicago. I called and asked for Chicago style pan pizza. I even described it. Despite the name this is NOT it. In fact the cheese was so sparse it looked like one of those 99 cent deals the you get at the grocery store, except I paid $11. Cashier stood there and argued with me so I just left. Went elsewhere and fed it to my dog.

We continue to visit Old Chicago every year we visit the slopes here. The service is great, food tastes great , and the have a great selection of beer in tap. Once we have experienced a long wait to be seated and long wait for food but it was the time of the year when the slopes get very crowded and the long waits are to be expected. This is our 4th time here and we are yet to be disappointed.

  • R G.

Biggest pizza disappointment of my life. It was late, I was hungry, I ordered a pepperoni pie to go. Honestly Pizza Hut is way better, and it pains me to say that. It's not worth $20 for a sub par pizza. Maybe I was wrong for expecting anything more from this place IDK I've had deep dish pizza in Chicago and this is NOT AT ALL REMINISCENT OF THAT not at all no no no no

We ate here back in March as we were driving cross country. We had encountered some weather that made us a little anxious about road conditions and had been happy to arrive in Silverthorne on that Friday night. SETTING: In the basement of a la Quinta, this place is a mix between ski bums flocking the bar and families on budget vacations filling the booth. Loud, casual, and crowded are the three key words here. The wait was about 45 minutes on that Saturday night, so we trolled around the bar, ordered a drink and that was just fine with us. SERVICE: When we were finally seated our waiter was a shaggy haired kid with a southern accent who had just packed his car up six months ago and drove from southern Georgia with his best buddy since he was knee high (his words not mine). In all seriousness, he was attentive, and a few months away from home hadn't knocked out that politeness ("yes ma'am!") FOOD: Pizza was pretty good and hit the spot on a cold night. Menu is on the more extensive side with pizza and bar fare, as well as a good number of beers on tap. The experience here definitely outshone the lodging experience we had next door. I would return.

All I can say is Love the atmosphere, my hostess server was knowledgeable about the food, the prices and even the dessert and helped me get something else since the cookies would not be ready. We laughed and joked about the hockey game going on (Avalanche won against the Blackhawks IN Chicago, shocking!!!) I had better service (attentive people means better tip!), my ACTUAL DRINK (love Madori Sours!) and they had MUCH better pricing with more amount of food. Murphy's... TAKE FRICKING NOTES!!!

  • Robin B.

Enjoyed a good dinner in a fun atmosphere. The place was crowded but noise level was manageable. Lots of beers on tap and tv screens for sports fans. Loved the pizza and spaghetti. Management and staff were friendly and fun.

Worst old chicago i have been to, and is located in somewhat dirty and beat up hotel. I only came because the dillon dam brewery was slammed. The positive, staff was polite. The negative, everything else. When my family came in, over half the restaurant was empty at 2:00pm on sunday. Bad sign. There were more tables in the dining area with dirty plates on them than there were patrons being served. I had time to count because no one was at the host stand and the 2 waitresses and manager that came by would acknowledge us, but it took them 10 minutes to get us seated because they had to bus one of the dozen tables piled with dirty dishes. Once we got seated it was several minutes before our waitress came by because they had her working both ends of the restaurant and it was her second day, so not her fault. She did a decent job after that, and the long wait for food was likely not her fault. They didn't bring us silver or napkins until we asked, and then asked how many of us needed it. The food was all subpar. My burger was way over cooked, my wife's sandwich was dry and flavorless, my kids chicken strips tasted like they bought expired frozen ones from walmart and baked the last bit of moisture out of them, my coleslaw was only about 4 small bites, and my wife got 9 french fries with her sandwich. The only positives about the food were my burger was hot and the fruit with thr kids meal was fresh. Overall, I don't know how this place is in business because it had every classic mark of a poorly managed restaurant. There are better spots in the area if you are willing to wait. Lesson learned.

We went another day to try it again. Food was good as before and service was great! My son is 8 months old and was hungry so I asked for mashed potatoes or something for him to eat. They didn't have any so the chef made 3 different things for him. She blended Mac and cheese, broccoli and some carrots and then brought them out to us. In all my years of working at restaurants and being a customer I have never seen this act of kindness!!!! We wish we lived closer so we could frequent them. Your missing out on great service and food if you don't give them a try.

Party of 13. Waitress was pretty much clueless. Told me They were out of chicken parm so I ordered lasagna and then she served me chicken parm which, was the texture of a giant McNugget :(.....Never Brought bread, brought kids the wrong drinks, apps took an eternity as well as entree's. Only thing decent was beer selection...much better places in Silverthorne to eat.

We did to-go here, but it was great. We called in our order as we were driving down I-70 and it was hot and ready when we arrived despite it being a busy Friday night. They also took a coupon that stated "For dine-in only.", which was much appreciated. Pizza was classic Old Chicago - tasty and filling. It's in an odd location, but great if you're staying in the hotel it's attached to.

It is an Old Chicago so the food is decent as one would expect. Our server, however, was truly excellent! Her name was Jessica and she went above and beyond! Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. We have a one year old which we know means more work-but she was great and so helpful.

  • David B.

We came here twice while on vacation and had a great experience both times! Ask for Stacey; she was our server both times & she was very friendly & knowledgable of the menu. I had the personal 8" Chicago style pizza (build your own) and my wife had the chicken Alfredo. Their margaritas were awesome as well as their strawberry daiquiris. As far as beer, try the Odell 90 Shilling Ale & the Boulder Beer Hazed & Infused; both are excellent. The manager came by twice to check on us. Great service and excellent food.

Wait was longer than what they said, food was very slow & cold. Would Not recommend. This is first & last time.

This Old Chicago is located within a La Quinta hotel but still boasts a full menu of food. HELPFUL HINT: Try the Italian Nachos and Double Deckeroni pizza. The Italian Nachos come with pepperoni, sausage, chips, cheese and marinara to drip the chips in. It is awesome. The Double Deckeroni pizza comes with two layers of cheese and pepperoni and it is amazing. Some of the previous reviews are correct in that the restaurant is not always adequately staffed and it can get busy but the food is every bit as good as other Old Chicago. It is worth stopping in for a quick lunch before shopping at Silverthorne.

Picked up a to go order, passing through town. Very friendly staff! We got snowed in as we were headed over the Rockies. The place was full, and the waitress said "you are Jon, right?", awaiting our picking up the order. So, that was cool. People were playiny trivia and it looked like a fun night. so, the place would have earned 5 stars, except... Brought the pizza back and it was like, 2 stars. So, I am leaving a 3 star rating for this average overall experience.

Great waiter, crap for food. Cheese was not even melted, but to make up for it, the edges were burned black. Plated up and serve cold. Yum

Seriously the worst dining experience I've had. we got ignored by staff, food took forever to get to us, and then came cold. food was overcooked. unfortunate that I have to give them a 1/5 stars...

It's Old Chicago. Nothing special, nothing amazing, nothing out of the ordinary. Cold beer is the best thing they have going for them. Staff was alright, chicken fettuccine was mediocre, but I wasn't expecting much more than a decent meal going in, and that is what I got. C+ to a B-.

Situational appropriateness=my experience at Old Chicago last night. I usually snarl at chain restaurants, because on average, they disappoint me (and I am a hater!). However, this Old Chicago has won a special place in my heart and I'll be damned if you ever hear me talk smack about this location. There are certain unconditional understandings that I have when it comes to going out to dinner when my mom and stepdad are in town. I have found that it is best to be decisive and choose a place with name recognition. When there are seven people involved, it's challenging enough to make the decision to go out in the first place. I enjoyed our time at Old Chicago last night. Some highlights: -They have over 25 beers on tap and a wider variety of bottles. -I got my drink on with Jameson, neat. ($4.69 each. Pretty standard) -Their chicken tenders are good. Like, they are the FIRST thing I think of when someone says, "Old Chicago" contrary to the popular pizza option (although, when I asked the server how many came in an order, he told me five. One of the "five" was shaped like a shark fin and was less than an inch and a half long-boo). -They use "beaver" brand candy machines. Some lowlights: -Hostess said "20-30 minute wait." Ended up being more like 45. -Periodic dirty diaper whiffs (different than the parmesan cheese smell that my mom thought was throw up somewhere near us) -Fries on my plate I was a little worried when we first arrived, as there is a sign out front that basically states this location is "independently leased" and is provided to be a "convenience" to hotel guests. It's like they're saying, "Hey losers, you're lucky that we put this Old Chicago here, so you give up all rights to complain if you choose to dine here. Without us, you'd starve." I no longer have to wonder to myself, "what the hell is that Old Chicago doing up here in the mountains?" when I drive by it on I-70. I will know that it is a haven of familiarity for families like mine, who experience a certain awkwardness when dining out all together.

Went here just because they had a good beer selection. Which they do. I had the Nitro Milk Stout which was awesome. There food and service was pretty poor though. The waitress was rushing everything would ask us if we wanted more beer and before we could tell her what kind she was running away. There pizza wasn't good ether.

  • Cass D.

I guess I just don't understand the bad reviews, but I only visited this place once. I've been to several other Old Chicago's and I'd say this place is pretty on par with all the rest of them. OC has never really been great at service in any that I have visited. My biggest complaint about this location was the noise level, but that's pretty true for most that I have been to. The food was what could be expected if you've been here before. I always have to laugh that when I come to this pizza place I order a sandwich. We like their pizza rolls and I think the portions are substantial for the prices. When we were in, they tried to tell us they were out of beef strips or something for my niece's sandwich, so they apologized and asked her if there was anything else she wanted. She ordered a substitute, and when the food came out, hers came out first. Apparently, they were wrong so she got to choose what she wanted to eat between the original order and the sub. She took the other meal home in a box, for free.

Typical Old Chicago, tons of beers on draft and mediocre food. Pizza here is always a win though!

  • Becky-Scott G.

Service was disappointing. Waitress was training a new person and seemed extremely annoyed by having to do so. We were staying at the hotel so we thought it would be a convenient place to get a drink. The drinks were weak. My husband had 2 Long Island Ice Teas (about $7 each) and felt nothing. I had 2 of their signature Tall Lemon Drops ($6.50 each) and felt nothing. We asked if they could make it stronger and she said of course. The next 2 drinks were stronger and what they should have tasted like to begin with. Then we got the bill... They charged us double for the stronger drinks. There was maybe an extra 1/2 shot in there, but certainly not enough to charge double. Lame. On a positive note, once the trainee was no longer shadowing, the waitress was super nice and gave us some tips on a few places to check out on our vacation AND she gave us a free big cookie for our 10 year anniversary.

  • Kevin S.

The beef sandwich and the Italian melt are my favorites. We ate at the bar and Krissy did an excellent job taking care of us. The food is typical pub grub. I would never order a steak at a place like this, but the beer selection, friendly staff and decent food make Old Chicago one of my favorites. I love this place. My only negative, why are the fries soggy?

This Old Chicago restaurant was a delight! I am biking across the country for cancer this summer (4k for cancer 2013) and one of my responsibilities is to ask local restaurants for donations so that all the money we raise can go straight to the Ulman Cancer Fund. Old Chicago donated 4 large pizzas, they were so generous, the pizzas were delicious, and the staff was beyond friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The La Quinta hotel was nice ( yelp.com/biz/la-quinta-i… ) but this restaurant sucks. I'm from Chicago, and would have tried the pizza, but they ran out (wtf?). They also had no steak left (wtf?). Maybe next time, the waitress would tell us these insignificant things before we're forced to reconsider our order twice. Go to Red Mountain Grill ( yelp.com/biz/red-mountai… ) or Dillon Dam Brewery ( yelp.com/biz/dillon-dam-… ) instead.

  • Rachel G.

Went for dinner. First time going and was disappointed with food. ordered Hawaiian pizza and was not very good. Better pizza at Dominoes, pizza hut and even Little Caesars. Had heard good things about this place. The noise level was pretty high. Very crowed, which I always take as a good sign. Surprised it was connected to a hotel. Host told us it would be about 15 min, but was seated in less than 5! That was nice! The most amazing part about the evening was our server! The host was nice too. Our server, (Laquelle) was the best server I have ever had. She made us laugh so hard the entire evening! She was funny, entertaining, fast, so friendly and just fun to be around. She made such a great impression on us! We had the manager come by, and she was really nice. Took the time to talk to us, and we told her we loved having Laquelle as our server. I would go back just because of Laquelle! If you go, just don't order the Hawaiian pizza. I will recommend for the beer, and friendly service. The fried pickles were great! really tasty dark beer too. Ask for Laquelle, she will make your evening. Great Experience!! R Gore

This is definitely not a foodies' place, but if you are stuck in the adjacent hotel, you will be thankful Old Chicago is here. The beer selection is outstanding, the food fairly standard chain restaurant quality, like Denny's or Applebees. The pizza is comparable to Pizza Hut. The best thing I tried were the loaded nachos. They also have some great happy hour specials.

  • Michael P.

Just bad service. Took forever to seat a group of 6. Waitress checked in on us one time while we waited one hour for a pizza. Not one apology. Won't be coming here again. Back to waiting for a water refill...

  • Daron S.

Normally I don't like to indulge in the chain restaurants because that is basically the only option to eat where I grew up so I've had my fair share. My bf and I were having a weekend in the mountains, and Old Chicago was in walking distance from our hotel, which is a plus for us because we do not drink and drive. We actually went both nights we were there so we could safely get our cocktail on. Both nights we sat in the bar area, fairly early so we had no problem landing ourselves a nice booth. The first night, our server was Zach and he was truly a great server, much better than one might expect in a corporate restaurant. He chatted with us and found out he was a local boy as we were locals ourselves. You could say we had a 'connection' Haha But anyways, there was a mispour of beer at the bar and he brought us the extra. Love it. The food was as to be expected. It was good. The second night, we had decent service as well. Zach was there and even stopped by to say hello. I love servers who are observant and personable. I would go to Old Chicago's there every time I was in town if Zach was going to be our server!

At least this place was open at 10:00 pm on a Thursday. Yes, we had consumed a fair amount of adult beverages before finding Old Chicago. Great beer selection. The pizza was okay, but was not very hot. The cheese was melted; however, the pizza really needed to be hotter.
