I had the best green chili ever here. And the outdoor beer garden is a great setting. Draft beer would be nice, otherwise this is a great lunch spot after a hike on the Colorado Trail which you reach at the Indian Creek trail head nearby.

This is a rustically eye-catching stopover in the foothills southwest of Sedalia, patronized primarily by locals but also getting weekend visits from fishermen and the ATV / dirt bike crowd. That might not sound like your thing, but this place is worth a stop because it's a time capsule taking you back to the 50s, a mountain lodge frozen in time. The beer & liquor selection is limited, but the chili is delicious and everybody there is super friendly.

Quiet stop just off a dirt road excursion. The Sprucewood Inn is home to a local and transient crowd. Definitely, a biker bar, but not the kind of bike you usually think of. Some of the paraphenalia accommodates many of the patrons. Dirt bikers. Lots of fun and charm. Both from the decor and the staff. Have not tried the food, but now a definite stop on my scenic trip home from a work site. Dave

Sweet little Inn and bar on Hwy 67 near Rampart Range. It has bar and they serve a small menu. Burgers , hotdogs, burritos, tombstone pizza's, chips, candy. It has a cool fireplace. Theres not much to say since it isnt very big. I did have a hamburger that was good. The hospitality was also very good. I will definetly be back to atv and to visit this place. It looks like it could be fun on a busy summer night.

Customer service was great. Nice spot to stop and take a break, drink a beer and get food. We were in a rush so we didn't eat but I'll be back to try the food for sure.

There is something about riding and the Sprucewood. The beer seems colder, and the people more like adventurists than just your run-of-the mill humans. So, I love this place. George (the owner) helped us with a flat tire this weekend and in the mean time we helped ourselves to a few bud lights. Then there is George's "family", the loveable ladies that serve up the drinks at the Sprucewood - just a little slice of heaven.

Great stop for a burger and a beer after a day of dirt-biking, hiking, fishing or whatever you may find yourself doing out in Pike National Forest.
