Good happy hour beer price and sweet patio right downtown Salida. It seemed very popular, although we didn't eat here, the pizza did looks pretty good. The restaurant was small and the inside was not air conditioned, so with pizza cooking it could get a bit toasty in the summer.

Craving Moonlight pizza, beer and homemade sodas! Awesome pizza, loved the breadsticks with pesto dipping. yummy beers awesome polite staff. foosball and great patio.

Love the beer! The cream ale is awesome and the ginger beer is a must. Their growlers are a good deal if you are going to stay in the area for a couple of days and want fresh beer at your rental. I enjoyed the pizza... but pizza is subjective. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We will be back!

I lived in Salida over 10 years and maybe went here twice. In the past two weeks I have been here three times... still not impressed. Let's start with the positive: - Nice big outdoor patio which is awesome in the summer months - They are having more live music (which is why I was there) - Pretty darn good homemade blue cheese dressing - They deliver The rest: - If you want a drink in under 30 mins order a beer. Seems they distill alcohol to order for mixed drinks. Or the bar tenders just can't handle a couple mixed drinks. I only mention this because it was the same issue my last three visits. - They brew their own beer and offer no other selections. This can be good or bad depending on your preference in beer. - Pizzas take forever. - Chicken wings are the squishy baked variety... which is too bad since they have a great blue cheese to dip them in - The salad are lame, but at least they have the homemade dressings - They do not bring the table all the food at once. So, if you ordered a salad it will be out in 10 mins and the rest of your parties food will be out 30 - 40 mins later - Be ware they put cream cheese on everything. I love cream cheese, but on a pizza... in a calzone... no thanks. But, I also realize that many people disagree with me on this one. - The pizza sauce is so thick they must use a spackle knife to spread it on - Seems they wash dishes in the alley as you will watch employees carry tubs of dirty dishes in/out the front door all night long. Maybe they forgot to put in the dishwasher when they expanded... The bottom line is this is a very popular place and will continue to do a great business, so overall my opinion means very little. Come to enjoy the patio and live music. Just be patient and don't expect too much from the food.

This place pretty much rocks. Only been here a couple times but they have really good pizza and ultra-local beer that is pretty good also. Sweet seating options and awesome service. I would say classic, local, tasty pizza joint. Also, the menu reading entertainment is up there.

My boyfriend and I visit MLP every few months on our way home from southern Colorado and have never been disappointed by the pizza and beers! Such a great find in a small town. On our recent visit last week, the buy one get one margarita special that they have on Thursdays was just too good to pass up. Tequila and I get along great, but my memory tends to disappear and I ended up leaving my purse that contained important documents at our table when we left. The staff and management were great and answered my frantic messages promptly. They even priority mailed my purse to me as I live about four hours north of Salida! I can't begin to explain how happy I am with this place and its staff! I will be letting everyone I know in on this gem of a pizza/brew pub! Leanne

I love the small-mountain town vibe and this place screams it! Located in downtown Salida, it's one of a few great places to choose from. We decided that some carry out would be perfect for us and perused a menu that was outside on the window before we walked in. We just wanted to get a sense of what they had. The menu is fairly robust with a great selection of unique specialty pizzas, sandwiches, salads and sides. As we walked in we were blasted with that delicious, pizza place hot air. The girl working the counter was very friendly and upon telling her that we thought we would do carry out; she gave us a few minutes to look at the menu again and answer a couple questions we had. We decided to go for a specialty pizza call the "Cosmic Hawaiian." I'm sure one could guess what the toppings were, but you'd be a little off. This isn't the classic Hawaiian you like so much -- it's much better. This particular Hawaiian is made with their magical red sauce plus a little smoky BBQ, which gives it a nice little tang. The big kicker is that they suggest you try it with jalapenos and cream cheese -- and I too recommend it. I also ordered a small house salad, which wasn't anything special, but it was a good accompaniment to the pizza. I did enjoy the honey mustard dressing which seemed homemade. As we waited for our pizza order we pulled up a couple chairs at one of the small tables and enjoyed a couple local beers. At this point we were able to get a lay of the land so to speak. The building itself is very small with just a few tables to sit at inside, but it has a very nice patio with much more room. I can picture this place hopping in the mid-summer when the town is bustling with tourists. It was pretty quiet when we walked in, but gradually got busier as we waited. We didn't have to wait long before our order was up; meanwhile we were finishing our beers, chatting it up with the nice girl at the counter, and enjoying the vibes. The service was very good with smiles all around. Upon finishing our beers we grabbed a quick peek at the pizza, it looked and smelled amazing. I settled the tab and we raced back to the B&B to devour the pie. If you're in the area and hungry for pizza I highly recommend Moonlight Pizza. You will not be disappointed.

Wow. Seriously the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Ever. A friend and I ordered the T-Guns and the Merkwood Chicken pizza. Both of them had cream cheese on them (sounds weird but tasted amazing), and the Merkwood had BBQ sauce mixed in with the pizza sauce. The crust was great (fresh made every day apparently) and all the ingredients were super quality. Also a great selection of beers, including their own microbrew. Next time I visit Salida I'll definitely be making a stop here. Or five.

Really enjoyed our visit to Moonlight. We've always has the the pizza to go or delivered, and it was fine. But, the crust was much better (crispier) for dine-in. And, the T-Guns was an awesome pizza combination. Also, the house made beers have improved in flavor & complexity. Would definitely recommend.

This was good, I ordered a small delivery pizza with a side spinach and a coke for my hotel room. It would have fed two or three, so very good value. The anchovies, onions and mushrooms complimented the crips crust nicely. Not too much sauce flavor. The delivery was quick, hot, and the guy was cute.

Super stoked to have yet another outstanding pizza/sammy/microbrew nook in town. This place was awesome before they got their brewery license but now I'm blessed (I guess) to have an even shorter walk for a fresh, cold one. And their beer has it's own signature so that's cool too. Love the cream ale. Tastes like Cincinnati or Buffalo. The Veggie-zone is my go-to for dinner and the grandma's and Salida veggie are great sandwiches. Staffed with earnest, -core types. Don't pass it by.

Yummy meat pizza and a great spinach salad. Everyone is happy happy happy!

The pizza could not have been better. The waiter was genuinely friendly. Atmosphere is relaxed and has nice a local flavor to it. Prices are good. I wish I could carbon copy this place to my own town!

Sooo good.....and even though we spent $60 on beer and pizza and salad and .......we live 3 hours away.....you know we will be back. Of the 3 beers we had, we both liked the Brown Ale the best. The large salad was large and full of goodies...and the dressings were incredible. The pizza was super, super delicious. Exact words out of our mouths, "This is the best pizza we've ever had!" I loved all the artistic creations that were proudly displayed. Thank you for giving us a great place to stop at in Salida and thank you for giving us a great place to recommend to everyone we meet.

The rest of my family said the pizza was good. Gluten-free on their menu is very misleading. They don't use separate pans or utensils, which is pretty easy to do in a pizza place. They said they make their own salad dressings, but they're not GF. Huh? If there's no wait, and nobody in your party has to eat GF, give it a try.

This is a true local business. They donate ten percent of sales every Monday(we were very impressed) to their town, they are environmentally conscious and don't use coasters or straws(very practical), every ingredient and drink on the menu is made with care and purpose. A group of four of us ate here while on a ski trip and we all loved it so much. The pizza, breadsticks, chicken wings hit the spot after skiing. They were delicious, had lots of toppings, and piping hot. The bartender, a young woman, was very down to earth and helpful and we shared a good laugh while waiting for a table to free up. The waiter with the great forearms was really helpful with our questions and attentive. The food, service, and local flavor were superb and I just wish we stopped having all these corporate chains and could have more small businesses like these!

Without a doubt the best pizza in Salida! Consistently good! We love the Cosmic Hawaiian pizza - this has the Canadian bacon and pineapple with bbq sauce, jalapeno peppers, and cream cheese on a large wonderful homemade medium thick crust. The bbq sauce is not too sweet and is surprisingly harmonious with the toppings. I like a good value and for 16 dollars you get a large 16" pie. Moonlight's owners donate 10% of their sales every Monday to a local worthy organization and they believe in Community, keeping a small footprint and encourage not only recycling, but not using straws or coasters in the first place, things which would end up in the landfill. I have had occasion to try many other pizzas on the menu, and they are all excellent, but will keep coming back for my favorite Cosmic Hawaiian! The seating is somewhat limited inside, but we normally get take-out. The home brewed beer and sodas are excellent as well.

Ann M.
How disappointing! By the looks of the place we thought we were in for a quick and cheap slice for lunch...but not so much. Service was really slow, 2 slices took over 1/2hr (really!!?), they don't sell any regular soda but "make their own" (hipsters..) - the ginger beer was un-drinkable and allll we wanted was a coke with our slice! It was cheap though but over all super disappointing.

My wife and I were in town for a week of skiing and ate dinner here last Sunday evening. We would completely recommend this place. The place has definite charm.

Very hip pizza and beer place! My new favorite in Salida.
(5)
J M.
One of two fantastic pizza places in Salida. Moonlight's got more of thick buttery crust than Amica's. The in-house beers and sodas are delicious. Super friendly staff, colorful table art, amazing $1 chocolate chip cookies. Also: killer lunch special everyday (11-2?): cheese slice with one-topping and a drink (soda or pale ale) for $3.50.
(4)
R R.
Good pizza not bad prices alright for a independent.
(3)
Shook D.
Great calzones, pizza, and salads. The atmosphere is cozy with some great waitstaff. They are now offering in house micro brew, with in house sodas, served with local Colorado beer. Make this a stop if in Salida, CO area.
(5)
John S.
The beer and pizza is average. The pizza is very expensive. Great lunch special - about the only time I'd say it is worth it.

I love love love pizza and Moonlight makes the best ever, hand down, no question! I look forward to visiting Salida just to treat myself at Moonlight! The only thing I hate is making a decision on what kind to order because they are all incredibly delicious. Hey Moonlight, will you open a restaurant for me in Texas... Please??
(5)
Larry B.
Excellent food and service Decided to swing by Salida after a long day of hiking and found Moonlight. Great craft beers (recommend the IPA) and excellent pizza. Played it smart and got more than I could eat but warmed up at home is almost as good. Too bad I didn't bring home a growler too. ;-)
(5)
Marilynn C.
The flavor is five stars... the pizza is delicious! Staff are friendly and attentive, although we waited a long time to get our food (maybe they were having a bad night?). Seating is very limited. Would definitely return next time I'm in Salida.
(4)
Chris L.
Definitely some amazing and unique pizza. I have eaten here probably 10 times. I like every pie here, except the Venus, which is a veggie pizza. My favorite pizza is the Cosmic Hawaiian which I always get with jalapeños and creme cheese. It is the perfect spicy and sweet combo. YES!!
(5)
Brett H.
Looking for a mom and pop pizza joint with attitude? Look no further than Moonlight Pizza! I have lived in Salida for 2 years and this is the best in the area. A number of non-traditional styles such as pesto and white sauces. The Venus is a great pie. As always, the staff continues to exceed expectations with friendliness and promptness. They maintain a great selection of beers and support the local community. Do yourself a favor and stop by Moonlight!
(5)
Katherine Z.
Boy, did we have a terrific pizza! Who would have thought cream cheese on a pizza would be so delicious? We would have given the Moonlight 5 stars, but the salad we ordered was mostly a pile of spinach with a few slices of onion and a bit of feta cheese. We would definitely go back the next time we are in Salida.
(4)
Courtney Z.
Pizza was the best I'd had in a long time. Our server was super friendly and attentive. We had the lunch special which was a slice of pizza (huge!) and a beer (microbrew!) for under $5. Couldn't have asked for a better lunch in Salida - 100% exceeded expectations. No reason to stop in any other pizza place!

Don't know how this little town has not one, but two, exceptionally good pizza places. Amica's is the better known, but can have staggering crowds. Moonlight's pizza rivals Amica's in quality, and has a much more laid back attitude. In the winter there's not a lot of room to eat in, but in the summertime they have nice outdoor seating. Sitting outside as dusk settles in, tired from a day of hiking or rafting, drinking a cold beer and eating great pizza- I don't know that I've ever been more content... Waitstaff have always been super chill, and they offer some unique pizzas and a good variety on the menu.

Woody K.
Best, I mean THE BEST pizza joint in Salida, hands down! The Mirkwood Chicken pie is outstanding. Couple that with their IPA, and you've got a real winner. And for the kids, don't forget to order them a beer as well...a root beer that its. It's home made on site, and really hits the spot. The wait staff is laid back, but attentive. This is now my "Go-To" pizza place in Salida.
(5)
Jan B.
By far, the best crust of any pizza I've ever had. We ordered the Venus & bread sticks. The sauce for the bread sticks was so good, I could eat it with a spoon. The Venus was perfect after climbing Monarch pass on the bicycles.
(5)
Andy C.
In my book Moonlight Pizza is the best pizza in Colorado! I like the Venus but my wife is more of a meat eater and she is in love with this place as well. Now they have added a brewery, I have not tried their brew yet but I will on my next visit to Salida.

Jesse M.
Got into town late after a long day on the road. One of the few decent food venues open late. We ordered a large 1/2 Full Moon and 1/2 Mirkwood Chicken. Excellent. Little on the pricey end at $28 for a large pizza and large caesar salad walk-out, but satisfyingly good.
(4)
Mike M.
A great crust and sauce is the heart of a pizza and Moonlight's got both. Great topping choices for both meat and veggies. Inspired menu whimsy in a nice, funky setting. Make sure you try the "Full Moon" pizza. Nice mix of fresh vegetables with classic pizza meats.
(5)
Trey E.
Moonlight has lots of specialty pies, and the pizza we got was tasty but not fantastic. The seating area is small, the waitstaff is friendly, and things were moderately priced. Probably wouldn't go back again, but it wasn't bad.
(3)
Mark O.
If you simply want great pizza, good beer, and good service, come here. All three pizza were excellent - pepperoni, bud(something), venus. Don't come here for the interior design, atmosphere, etc. Come here for the pizza!
(5)
Jess K.
Yum! Came here after a long day of hiking and they still sat us even though they were closing in 15 minutes. The pizza topping options are fantastic, we ordered a venus (white pizza with tomatoes, pesto, garlic). It was delicious and the toppings all tasted very fresh (we've been eating leftovers for breakfast for the past 2 days). The wait staff was very friendly and spent some time chatting with us since we were from out of town. Would definitely come back here, not only for the pizza but for the fantastic beer selection (sadly, was too tired from hiking to sample anything).

I give this place a two. I came to Salida for spring break with the family. We heard good things about this place. We ordered a cream ale and a white IPA. The drinks were fine. Not to much to say there. They did have limeaide and ginger beer on tap, that was neat. They brought a root beer float by which looked tasty. For our meal we ordered one of the pizzas with jalapeños which was fine. Not much cheese. I was also disappointed in their red sauce. Tasted similar to tomato paste. And the cheese to sauce ratio was unfortunately way off. We also ordered one of their specials with BBQ sauce as well as green chilies and onions. It was fine. Nothing too special. The size of the pizzas were good and the crust was pretty tasty but overall I wouldn't return here based on pizza alone. On a side note we ordered spicy chicken wings. What came out were slimy and squishy wings sitting in sauce. Very disappointing. The wings literally had about an inch of squishy fat on the outside. I would say that was the main downfall of the whole dinner experience.

Be prepared to wait for well over an hour. I can't say what the food is like because even after being here for an hour and forty minutes and we don't have our food. Update: I got the pizza, and it was good, so I gave them two stars. I would have given them 3, or even 4, if they had been nice about the fact that we waited for two hours to get our food, but they were 100% unapologetic. I don't get that. Be nice, it doesn't hurt, and it makes people a hell of a lot more forgiving of things like super-long waits. And by the way, of the 2 hour wait, only about 20 minutes was waiting for a table. They took about 1 1/2 hours to get us our food AFTER we ordered.

Very tasty unique pizza! Super fun laid back atmosphere makes this place an awesome stop. Good margs and you can hang on patio with your dogs. Only pizza place in town with nice outside patio.

Great traditional pizza. Not much I door seating but you can sit outside if the weather is good. Carey out available too.

When my family suggested we try the pizza place in Salida, I was skeptical. I'm from Chicago, and I have really high pizza standards. I was totally suprised, but the pizza was really very good. We had two pizzas, my favorite was the superroni. Two layers of cheese and pepperoni! The toppings were good, but it was the zesty tomato sauce that really stood out. We had appetizers too, and the cheesy garlic bread was very good. The wings were so-so, I guess if you realy like chicken wings you would like these. We sampled 5 of the beers and the kids had root beers and cream soda, all brewed by Moonlight. Of course we all had our favorites, but they were all quite good. The brown ale stood out for me. We look forward to passing through Salida and stopping at Moonlight Cafe again soon.

Ate there yesterday. Really great pizza, and we are really a pizza connoisseurs. I never eat the pizza crust edge, but i did this time, really awesome and fresh, not over or under done. We got the caveman pizza and this was perfect. I thought it could be overloaded with cheese or too much meat, etc., but this was just perfect, and tastes great. Local brewed beer was great too. Suggest you come here without hesitation. Pizza takes a few extra minutes, cause its handmade, not a frozen warm-up job. You will taste the difference. Its hard to find quality food these days, but here at moonlight they've done it.. pizza, other foods, beer, even the soda, all top quality.

The pizza here was pretty damned tasty. I hadn't had real pizza in a long while, and I had enjoyed some of the finer Colorado things prior to visiting so there's a chance that's skewing my opinion, but I was a big fan. Their beer was okay...nothing to write home about, but good for a place that tries to make both pizza and beer. Dat pizza doe... (dough...) was spot on. Light and fluffy on the inside, nice and crispy on the bottom...nailed it. That said, if you like a true thin crust pizza, this is not the pizza joint for you. We ordered a medium T-Guns and a Large Full Moon. The T-Guns is a strange combo with the cream cheese and all, but it worked for me. We liked it a lot more than the Full Moon...it seemed a bit unbalanced, with too many competing flavors. More of a "hey let's just dump all this stuff on a pizza" offering rather than a thoughtfully constructed pie. We also shared a large house salad with the honey balsamic dressing...it was a good value if you're in a salad kinda mood, and you can't go wrong with honey balsamic. For beer...the cream ale is cheap. Forgettable, but cheap enough to not care. If you're into beer reviews, check out Untappd for the latest.

Pretty solid gluten-free pizza. A little bit pricey, but very tasty. The in-house root beer was delicious, so we brought home a growler for the rest of the family-- they love it! Visited three times during our trip and had great service two times. The other waitress seemed like she was put out by any request and was a bit surly. But, two out of three ain't bad, so if you get cruddy service on one visit don't give up on the place! The food is worth it and the root beer is definitely a must try.

We were here for The Gentleman of the Road stopover and things were crazy and busy the entire time. However Brena, the bartender at the time took the time to ensure we were filled on drinks abs good the entire time. We did a beer sampler which was great! Growing up in Colorado and with the multiple breweries I have been to this one hung with the best for originality. We then ordered the Full Moon pizza which hit the spot for a late lunch! All in all an awesome place to hit. Would definitely come back for sure.
(5)
Ryan B.
Stopped by last evening to get a pie. All in all it was ok. It took 45 minutes to cook my pizza and the beer I ordered was flat (Cream Ale) My pizza was subpar at best. I must say I expected better.
(3)
Jessica L.
I ordered a pizza to-go, so I can't comment on the atmosphere/service. However, the pizza itself was delicious! I got the Venus and added artichoke hearts and pesto (per the menu's recommendation). Very unique and much better than ordering from a chain. And, their to-go is pretty fast as well.

YELP!!!! This had to be your biggest flop yet. Holy crap you all steered us wrong. We settled on this place after looking at Amicus Microbrewery and Pizza's menu and didn't see anything that caught my eye. That and since the guy who put our name on the wait list gave my husband attitude. Oh, where to start. We walked in and was told by the host/waitress that they have a table outside. Almost felt like she was trying to force it on us. Great a table outside, except it was one for 8 people and we'd have to be OK with other people being sat there as well. Well there goes date night. The inside was at first stifling hot but luckily we found a table by the door nearest the patio. We asked about the bread sticks and was told they were braided and had a garlic butter on top. For $1 per bread stick we got 3. We also ordered a medium pizza. Forgot the name with how bad it was. We found out no refills on their "homemade soda", so expect $3 per soda. And no refills period unless you " accidentally" spill yours. Don't expect straws or green tea. Only black. We waited a good 15 minute for 3 bread sticks to arrive. And even then they were completely bland. Even the marinara sauce was just a paste literally and he pesto was nothing but olive oil. Highly disappointing. This dinner, which could have taken 40 min ended up being more than an hour and a half. Our waitress that decided to ignore us because of other more important tables, did charge us for a cheese and bread sticks instead of everything else probably had to call her boss to ask. This place almost made us walk out due to their lack of attentiveness. This place reminded us of north Boulder in an organic eatery. Their prices are way too high for the lackluster atmosphere. Would not recommend and instead go to the attitude guy at Amicus or go elsewhere.

Somewhat awkward in it's accessibility but worked out OK. After a smallish wait in the sprinkling rain on the patio in the out of doors we were seated. Homemade root beer was goodly. The $1.00 10 inch twisty bread stick was yummy. The marinara dipping sauce served with it was a tad dry and overcooked around the small bowl edges. In the center, beyond the crusty dry, was thick saucy delish spiced appetizing sauce which enhanced the bread stick experience overall. The Mirkwood Chicken pizza was downright amazing and this mountain people loved it. Chicken, onion, and green chile cream cheese. It was good. Real good I decree. The iced tea was a little weak for my liking. This is a local business. Support it. You'll be glad you did. It is a gazillion times better that a pizza chain. These are pizza artisans yo!

This is our favorite spot in Salida. Their micro brews are good, they even make their own root beer and cream soda. Breadsticks are very good with their pesto sauce. The pizza rivals other well know local restaurants.

We stumbled upon this place on way from Utah to Denver taking in some sights. Neat little town and this place was a gem. Service was good and the pizza's and Pale Ale's were awesome. great pizza crust. Wish this place was in my town.

Flozilla B.
My hubby and I stopped by here for dinner on a Monday night while driving thru Salida....the Yelp reviews were encouraging. We lucked out with EXCELLENT service and pretty solid food. We both ordered smoked stouts which are brewed on site...they were excellent. Light spinach salad with a yummy house made vinaigrette that coated the fresh spinach just right. Pizza was pretty good, crust was flavorful. The topping were a bit too plentiful or needed a minute or two more in the oven. Overall a nice place for a casual meal. It appears that the locals like it quite a bit...atmosphere was cozy.
(4)
Matt S.
We ate outside which allowed our dog after climbing Mt Columbia. The outdoor seating had corn hole and fooseball which allowed kids to play. We choose to eat individual meals off of the moon-zone menu. The calzones that we had were delicious and we would have them again. The beer is the main selling point here. Local craft beer was to die for, and I regret not purchasing a growler.
(5)
Jeff B.
Are you serious. 4$ for a pint of cream ale and a slice of pizza for lunch. AND there both awesome. A must go place for sure.
(5)
Sarah G.
My beau and I ordered the T-guns and it was extraordinarily delicious! The flavor of the spices and cream cheese was wonderful. We ordered a medium and had 2 pieces each. The next day the left overs were better! Highly recommend. We always stop here on our way up to crested butte and the staff is courteous and the beer Oh my word y'all the beer is incredible. Do yourself a fav and being yourself a growler cuz you'll want some to go when you leave!
(5)

We ordered take and bake pizzas home. WOW! Great quality and excellent taste. Would defiantly recommend this place to anyone in the area. YUM!
(5)
Becca T.
One of my top two best pizzas of my life. And I've been to NYC, Boston, and Chicago--this is better than anything I experienced in those cities. YUM. YUM. YUM. Go here, you can thank me later. In pizza preferably.

Moonlight Pizza is the BEST pizza in Salida! The bonus is the Brewery! You can't go wrong with a family night out at Moonlight!

This is some of the best pizza I've had in a while. It may the only place we stop in Salida when we're passing through in the future.
(5)
Jen N.
We stopped in here twice during our week stay in the area. The pizza, beer and service was all great. My picky eater son loved the cheese pizza and the rest of us tried a variety of toppings. You really can't go wrong with any of the menu items.
(5)
J S.
wings were not edible. Service was horrible. beer was sub par. server was rude and impatient.
(1)

Amazing pizza. Fresh ingredients. The freaking cheese steak sandwich was unbelievable. Fresh ingredients. They brew their own root beer and sodas, and you can take them home in a growler. Hands down the best food in this town.
(5)
Ashley S.
My boyfriend and I went for a Sunday drive and he took me here. We sat outside and enjoyed a cold beer on the patio (the cream ale was fantastic). We got an app and two pizzas. The app was huge and the small pizzas were a perfect size. Our server was so friendly and made us feel like she had known us for years. We will definitely stop at this place anytime we are driving through Salida. Cheers.
(5)
Mike C.
This is our go-to restaurant in Salida - bread sticks are great and the pizzas are wonderful. Spicy moon is highly recommended (and the half bbq / half tomato sauce would be good on other pizzas as well.) Also - the homemade sodas mixed with local alcohol are dangerously good. The cream soda and rum and lime soda with tequila are personal favorites.

Superior pizza and beer. I prefer this food over Amicus. If there is no place to sit, just take it with you. It's worth it.
(5)
Stephanie W.
We came here the other night because the line at Amica's was too long and we were glad we did! Great service and delicious pizza, in a casual pizzeria setting. They have a 6" pizza for kids and both personal-sized pizzas and larger pizzas for sharing. Plus apple juice boxes for kids. We split a BBQ chicken pizza, which was fabulous, and my extremely picky 4-year old even ate her entire cheese pizza. Service was quick. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in for a beer and it was great! Brews were excellent and we met several locals that we actually Bar hopped with. Excellent service and great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Great pizza. Cool servers. Good beer. Funky fun atmosphere. Had the Caveman with Salami and the Venus with artichoke hearts and pesto. Flavors were great - crust is a bit soft but I enjoyed it. I forgot which beers we tried but they were all surprisingly good. This place makes going to Salida a treat! Thanks Moonlight.

We're baaccckk! Love this pizza! Oh and the beer too! Every time we are in Salida, we come here. We really think the pizza keeps getting better. This time, my hubby & I went half Full Moon & half Harvest Moon. The toppings were all FRESH! We even walked away this time with a growler of Moonlite Cream Ale. Grrrrrr ;D Their patio seating is dog friendly too.

If you like a doughy crust this place has the pie for you. Just grabbed a quick cheese pizza for my son so I can't say too much more. Plenty of cheese, tasty sauce. Fast friendly service. Wish I had time to hang out and try their beer. Hopefully next visit out here.

We decided to try this place before amicas. My IPA was average. Husbands pale ale was better. Not much ambience.... Pizzas were thicker crust.... Just not what we prefer!

Hit this place up on the way home from a drive/mini-vacation. Was good food, good (freshly made?) cream soda, yummy ginger beer (non-alcoholic). Issues? A bit expensive for pizza, treat this as more of a specialty shop, not your regular pizza place and it's ok. Great pesto, good bread stick, pizza reheated nicely later. Parking is street, but seemed pretty easy to find for lunch.

This is my favorite place to eat in Salida. We typically go for the lunch special which is a steal. The staff is friendly and Moonlight is very dog friendly which is important to is.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

(5)Laura M.

(4)Jeff Y.
Or five.
(5)Tony S.
(4)cindy b.
(4)Art B.
(5)Carey D.
Yummy meat pizza and a great spinach salad. Everyone is happy happy happy!
(4)Joe M.
The pizza could not have been better. The waiter was genuinely friendly. Atmosphere is relaxed and has nice a local flavor to it. Prices are good. I wish I could carbon copy this place to my own town!
(5)Denise L.
(5)C C.
(2)H K.
(5)Gina M.
(5)Ann M.
(2)Ron W.
My wife and I were in town for a week of skiing and ate dinner here last Sunday evening. We would completely recommend this place. The place has definite charm.
(4)Mark S.
Very hip pizza and beer place! My new favorite in Salida.
(5)J M.
(4)R R.
Good pizza not bad prices alright for a independent.
(3)Shook D.
Great calzones, pizza, and salads. The atmosphere is cozy with some great waitstaff. They are now offering in house micro brew, with in house sodas, served with local Colorado beer. Make this a stop if in Salida, CO area.
(5)John S.
The beer and pizza is average. The pizza is very expensive. Great lunch special - about the only time I'd say it is worth it.
(2)Barb L.
Please??
(5)Larry B.
Excellent food and service Decided to swing by Salida after a long day of hiking and found Moonlight. Great craft beers (recommend the IPA) and excellent pizza. Played it smart and got more than I could eat but warmed up at home is almost as good. Too bad I didn't bring home a growler too. ;-)
(5)Marilynn C.
The flavor is five stars... the pizza is delicious! Staff are friendly and attentive, although we waited a long time to get our food (maybe they were having a bad night?). Seating is very limited. Would definitely return next time I'm in Salida.
(4)Chris L.
YES!!
(5)Brett H.
(5)Katherine Z.
(4)Courtney Z.
(5)Jimmy C.
(4)Woody K.
(5)Jan B.
By far, the best crust of any pizza I've ever had. We ordered the Venus & bread sticks. The sauce for the bread sticks was so good, I could eat it with a spoon. The Venus was perfect after climbing Monarch pass on the bicycles.
(5)Andy C.
In my book Moonlight Pizza is the best pizza in Colorado! I like the Venus but my wife is more of a meat eater and she is in love with this place as well. Now they have added a brewery, I have not tried their brew yet but I will on my next visit to Salida.
(5)Jesse M.
(4)Mike M.
(5)Trey E.
Moonlight has lots of specialty pies, and the pizza we got was tasty but not fantastic. The seating area is small, the waitstaff is friendly, and things were moderately priced. Probably wouldn't go back again, but it wasn't bad.
(3)Mark O.
If you simply want great pizza, good beer, and good service, come here. All three pizza were excellent - pepperoni, bud(something), venus. Don't come here for the interior design, atmosphere, etc. Come here for the pizza!
(5)Jess K.
(5)chris r.
passed through salida on a 'ride the rockies' tour. so glad i stopped at moonlight pizza. best pizza of all time. thanks.
(5)Jodie R.
(2)Carole C.
(2)Jaime R.
Very tasty unique pizza! Super fun laid back atmosphere makes this place an awesome stop. Good margs and you can hang on patio with your dogs. Only pizza place in town with nice outside patio.
(5)Francie B.
Great traditional pizza. Not much I door seating but you can sit outside if the weather is good. Carey out available too.
(5)Rich C.
(4)David G.
(5)Chad W.
(4)Leslie B.
(4)Jon K.
(5)Ryan B.
Stopped by last evening to get a pie. All in all it was ok. It took 45 minutes to cook my pizza and the beer I ordered was flat (Cream Ale) My pizza was subpar at best. I must say I expected better.
(3)Jessica L.
(5)Amy F.
(1)Russ D.
(4)Jordan R.
This is our favorite spot in Salida. Their micro brews are good, they even make their own root beer and cream soda. Breadsticks are very good with their pesto sauce. The pizza rivals other well know local restaurants.
(5)Randy J.
We stumbled upon this place on way from Utah to Denver taking in some sights. Neat little town and this place was a gem. Service was good and the pizza's and Pale Ale's were awesome. great pizza crust. Wish this place was in my town.
(5)Flozilla B.
(4)Matt S.
(5)Jeff B.
Are you serious. 4$ for a pint of cream ale and a slice of pizza for lunch. AND there both awesome. A must go place for sure.
(5)Sarah G.
(5)Heather S.
We ordered take and bake pizzas home. WOW! Great quality and excellent taste. Would defiantly recommend this place to anyone in the area. YUM!
(5)Becca T.
One of my top two best pizzas of my life. And I've been to NYC, Boston, and Chicago--this is better than anything I experienced in those cities. YUM. YUM. YUM. Go here, you can thank me later. In pizza preferably.
(5)Ann C.
Moonlight Pizza is the BEST pizza in Salida! The bonus is the Brewery! You can't go wrong with a family night out at Moonlight!
(5)Taylor W.
Terrible experience with poor service. Pizza was alright once it finally came out.
(1)Jonathan B.
This is some of the best pizza I've had in a while. It may the only place we stop in Salida when we're passing through in the future.

We stopped in here twice during our week stay in the area. The pizza, beer and service was all great. My picky eater son loved the cheese pizza and the rest of us tried a variety of toppings. You really can't go wrong with any of the menu items.

wings were not edible. Service was horrible. beer was sub par. server was rude and impatient.

Amazing pizza. Fresh ingredients. The freaking cheese steak sandwich was unbelievable. Fresh ingredients. They brew their own root beer and sodas, and you can take them home in a growler. Hands down the best food in this town.

Cheers.
