Met expectations ..... Expectations were low. Boss wanted a piece of pie on a business trip and it was the closest place. I know the pictures are usually better than the actually good but I wanted to ask the waitress if I could get at least picture quality food. I have know clue why I tried the meatloaf, definitely my fault. Corn fresh out of a can with juice still in cup, gravy covering the mash potatoes like they were trying to hide something and it was the first time in my life that I could not look at what I was eating. The meatloaf tasted okay but I felt it was looking at me. I wanted to give it a 5 star for meeting my low expectation but I just couldn't do it.

We live in Denver and we go to Village Inn a lot. Today we're traveling through Pueblo and we decided to go to Village Inn for dinner. It was right across from our hotel. The service was excellant. Our server, Sam, was great. He promptly greeted us at our table. He was very friendly and took good care of us throughout our meal. My wife and I both had dinners. She had the meatloaf and I tried the chicken covered in a honey mustard sauce. The food was great. It promptly arrived at our table and was very hot. This is one of the best Village Inn restaurants that I have ever been too.

Went there for dinner. Place was pretty dead. Had to wait about 15mins for a drunk order while Jenn was goofing around in the back or something. It was completely unnecessary. She also lectures you about the menu and the ins and outs. Very entitled. Furthermore, when the check came we were going to order pie but was never offered any and she never came back to the table after dropping off the check so we bounced. Avoid the place.
I give only 1 star because you have to rate at least a 1. The food is ok, not great or amazing by any means, and it's definitely not worth the hassle of bad service. Had to wait for a good several minutes for the only obvious employee to serve a take-out guest before being seated. Once seated, we waited and waited for our server only to have guests at a nearby table suggest to their server that we were perhaps ready to order. After sitting and waiting for about ten minutes, our order was taken and then handed off to our server, who we did not see until the food was ready to be delivered. She did not apologize for being too preoccupied to take our order but seemed to get upset because the server who did, did not prepare and deliver the salad I had ordered. After eating, my family paid and went outside to stretch until my daughter and I were finished. At this time, the server stopped by to ask if everything was alright. It seemed a little too late seeing as the food had been consumed and the seats were no longer occupied.

This my second time to visit a Village Inn while traveling through Colorado. My first experience was in Colorado Springs and was 5 stars. This stop was very disappointing. I had The Ultimate Skillet at both places and it was very delicious. The problem with this one is the way they cook the eggs. I asked for them to be medium well. Pretty much cooked all the way through with just a tiny bit of runny yolk. The first location did this perfectly, but the waiter at this location refused to let me order my eggs medium well. I was told I could only have them one way or the other and not in between because the cooks are weird and won't make them that way. WTF! If you want your eggs cooked medium well the skip this location and hit a Denny's or iHop instead.

I stopped by for lunch and got the worse food and service. I ordered a pork tenderloin that said it came with mashed potatoes with gravy and one side but the waitress said I got another side so I ordered soup and mac n cheese. Then I did not get the mashed? They brought the soup at the same time as the entrée so one or the other would get cold! The tenderloin had cream gravy with sausage! Why? I don't know but it tasted awful. The General Manager was rude when I told him about the problems.
