This was such an awesome place to eat for lunch! My buddy and I went here during our lunch break and was immediately impressed. The ambiance is very casual and relaxing. There were a couple TVs with the world cup going on, which probably made the experience that much better. Their lunch menu is very affordable, and the portions were huge. I ended up getting the chicken bento, which comes with soup and salad prior to the course, rice, grilled chicken, several pieces of tempura, and a couple pieces of sushi. I'll definitely be come back here again to try the rest of the menu!

Rolls were great. Soup & salad, well, they left something to be desired. Salad "miso" dressing was like sugar syrup. The miso soup was okay. Definitely had better. The rolls, however, were really quite good. I had the sashimi small, and very much enjoyed the yellow tail, salmon, and ahi. I also really enjoyed the rice-free cucumber roll, which had spicy (dairy free!!) tuna, crab, salmon, and avocado in cucumber. Loved this! They also had tamari on hand, which is great for us GF folks. Not a great (or even good) wine selection. But overall, a decent little sushi place.

I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant! The servers and the chefs remember your name, remember your favorites, and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the experience! As a California native, I have had great fish... You just can't hold central states to the same standards, but I have never been disappointed. Bento box is outstanding and the sushi chef will def suggest the best rolls for you based on your preferences. Overall, I frequent this place and never leave unhappy.

Was in Pueblo and had a hankering for sushi. For a moderate sized town in a landlocked state, it wasn't all that bad. A limited selection of ingredients hampers their selection of rolls. 4 Rolls + water = $35

This place is a gem. It is hidden but worth seeking out. I've been to this place twice; first time was good, second time was great. Sushi is very fresh and flavorful. Compared to big city sushi places, food is as good or better at much cheaper prices. Try the sashimi new style, not on menu.

My husband and I love this place. We've made it our Saturday tradition. The waitresses are like friends... And remember our order every time. The sushi is good and the service is quick. We've been to other sushi restaurants and this one is the best quality for the price. Try the super crab crunch roll or the in and out roll. Some of our favorites!!

Sushi was fresh and excellent variety. Nice place inside, roomy and light. Beautiful presentation. Slightly hidden but worth finding it!

I was the only patron on a Tuesday at 6 pm. Service: Terrible. The server (Amber) was more concerned with the music being played than anything else...well, besides her phone. Food: The rice was not sticky. The salmon and tuna pieces were greasy and the eel was burnt. The spicy tuna was the worst I have ever eaten. The sushi chef was busy flirting with Amber and his poorly prepared food, plus the 30 minutes it took him to make it, made it quite clear that I was cramping his style. For the first time in my life, I did not finish my meal at a Japanese restaurant. Ambiance: The chefs and bussers must not know that everything they say can be heard in the dining room. Upon first listen, I was impressed that they were talking about work. Then I realized that snapper and clam were not on the menu. That's just a little joke, they were not being so subtle. The really nasty words seemed to work just fine for them. Verdict: I understand that it is tough to get good, fresh fish away from the coasts, so I am okay with the fish being a little greasy. However, there is no excuse for the behavior of the employees. I imagine they cost the owner a lot of business. Not only will I never eat here again, but I will go out of my way to tell people to avoid it. As a marketing consultant, I sure talk to a lot of people.

Miyake was a pleasant surprise on a recent trip to Pueblo. We found it when searching yelp for Japanese food in the local area. The restaurant is difficult to find, because it is hidden from the street in a small strip mall. There is only one small sign visible from the street and the map link incorrectely shows it several blocks north of it's actual location. We almost gave up, assuming they had gone out of business. Once inside, we were glad we kept searching. The service was fast and friendly and the food was very good. It was a little more upscale than we expected and would be perfect for a business lunch or nice dinner. We kept it simple with a crunch roll and some teriyaki chicken. The chicken was great, not dry and was accompained in an outstanding sauce with a hint of orange. The prices were very good and we left very satisfied and in time to catch a movie at Tinseltown. Good stuff!!!

The sushi is pretty mediocre but after I was charged for the undercooked tempura crab (I took 1 bite and sent it back) I won't be going back. They said that their policy is to charge for the food even if it wasn't cooked. Well, that's poor customer service in my book. Also, the tables feel like there's a film on them from not being cleaned well. Try Blue Ocean Sushi if you want good sushi and great service!

We went there for lunch visiting from Denver - parents had been there before apparently. First thing I noticed was the almost Nordic looking stark wood furniture. It was impressive and is built for large proportions body size. I guess the more you eat? Also had trouble with the picture menu, having heard a rule of thumb to flee such places. But I have seen similar in other sushi restaurants anyway. I ordered the California roll and was disappointed to not find orange roe as a blanket, but the quality was fresh and delicious. Ordered the basic beef bowl and it was more for a Wookie sized appetite- wow! Lets just say I WANT to return with the family. If this was in Denver, the other big sushi guys would be hard pressed to match honestly. Here's to a long life for these guys and kudos big time for the nice waitress.

It's not the most fantastic sushi I have eaten however, it is not bad. Service was good and we got our food quickly. I wish they slightly had more sections of rolls.

Had the chicken bento box with my travel colleagues. The box had 4 california roll pieces, a pat of white rice, terriyaki chicken, and fried sushimi. The portions were good, as were the prices. None of us were crazy with the quality of the food. The sushimi was a bit greasy, and the chicken was tasteless. Not a repeater.
