Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Had the chile verde it was more like watered green soup. No meat. I've had more meat in a can of Campbell's soup. Very disappointing and it was $9. It use to be good. My husband had the fajitas. Nothing to say. Not good. Not seasoned. Bell peppers were not even cooked. Meat was tasteless. That was $13. Kids had greasey quesidillas. Needless to say, this place has gone down hill. That was my family's last trip there.

The Carne Ala Tampiquena was excellent! I can't believe I'm going to rave about this but the beans and rice were awesome! I posted a photo of my meal as it was presented. The use of Yellow and Green peppers really gave the plate some color and depth. The service was very good. The dining area was clean and well organized. The restroom was dirty and had a strange odor. From my perspective as a former restaurant GM, The dirt in the bathroom represents at least a month of neglect and partial cleaning. I did not have an opportunity to see the kitchen. Typically, if the bathrooms are dirty, the kitchen is worse. Despite my reservations, I enjoyed the experience and will return. This really should be a 3.5 star review but the food and service were so good that I don't mind rounding up rather than down. :-)

Very good! Crisped carnitas, excellent frijoles, and camarones diablas with a zingy red chili that will make you think of Santa Fe. Well done.

The decor is pretty cool old Mexico flare. The service was not very good considering the server only had 4 tables and was running around like he was frazzled. The good was ok, not the worst I've ever had and not the best. I lost my appetite when I went to turn my plate and the bottom edges felt dirty and greasy. We finished 2 baskets off chips and 3 salsas before they finally brought or food. We took a chance and ordered sopapillas abd they took forever too. When they finally got to the table they were heavy, bland, and they were only served with packets of honey. I wish I could have given them a little higher rating but the good is the most important aspect of a restaurant not the decor. The carpet was really dirty and it made the air smell like old grass grease. Their salsa was pretty good, but that seemed to be where it ended.

Service was soooo slow. Unless you're gonna eat the buffet be prepared to wait a while for your food. The wait was definitely was worth it either. Green chile was watered down and not very good.

The food was okay not worth the drive. I was expecting more favor. It seemed to lack that homemade authentic taste. For the price, presentation and price the food was horrible

We were a large group they weren't prepared for so it wouldn't be fair to comment on the two hour delivery from seating to eating. However that has to be the blandest food I've ever tasted in a mex restaurant. The chicken in the chicken tacos had zero seasoning. In fact I'd guess the chicken was boiled in plain water - for too long. We also ordered a combo plate - same comment from dining partner - bland and blah. Canned beans make a better impression. Our kid ordered the chicken tortilla soup. That was good - it raised this review from zero stars to one. Oh and there was vomit in the bathroom
