Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Hot fresh chips. monster buritto is amazing. Tostadas are excellent. We eat here every time we get a chance. Low cost. Good coffee. This Mom n Pop is a cut above the rest.

I'm speechless.....$40.00 later!! I am in Pueblo West visiting family and stopped here because I was starving. The restaurant was so dark, outdated and strange. The staff was ok and friendly enough I suppose. When I walked in the TV in the corner was blaring loud with white snow. I ordered a $9.99 burrito which I would rate a -1! There was a small amount of meat, maybe a teaspoon of cheese and 80% French fries! Strange!! I ordered my son 3 regular ala-carte tacos that were equivalent to a .59 cent taco at Del Taco. My son couldn't even chew them, the shells were like the kind you buy for .99 and heat up in the oven. My bean/cheese burrito was horrible! It was small and folded like a taco. The price was ridiculous for this very low quality food. It has got to be the worst Mexican Food I've ever had next to Taco Bell. The plus side! My Dr. Pepper was great! And I did find a little piece of green pepper in the burrito! Haha These people should be EMBARRASED!! Myself or the family who lives here would never go back. I'm going back to Cali where the Mexican food is real and Rocks!!

I found the service at Chico's to be friendly enough. I got what I ordered in a timely fashion. The food is mediocre.

Will not go back. First, it is like dining in your grandmother's living room while she watches the price is right on the television (only this time it was some nature channel). Completely silent except for the TV. The waiter was young, but kind, He came back twice to ensure he had my order correct. When food arrived (brought out by someone other than our waiter), I did not receive what I had ordered, but ended up eating it anyway because the waiter never showed back up, and nobody else was around for me to address the issue with. Food: Green chili (I ordered red) was bland, no spice or actual flavor to speak of, Shredded chicken had no flavor. Basically, it was nothing great to taste. The woman that brought out our order came back as we were finished, didn't ask how things were, but asked if we wanted more to drink. When paying for our meal, it was brought up that I did not receive what I ordered, so she proceeded to blame the server until she checked the ticket, then decided to blame the cook. No amends or apologies were offered or made. If I could say anything, all I would say to that lady we paid would be: "If you don't like working in or running a restaurant, don't, for the love of God, just don't."

I have had both good experience & bad experience at this restaraunt. It's kind of hit & miss. Good food...at times. Good service...at times. Cleanliness...at times. Just have to try your luck!
