Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

So the food at Angelo's is generally quite good. That being said, the service is simply awful. It's not unfriendly just VERY slow. So slow, in fact, that I can't risk going in there for a 1hr lunch. It's on the riverwalk and they have great atmosphere.

There are mixed reviews of this place for two reasons - they blow it once in a while, and people have different tastes and expectations. After all, Pueblo locals pretty much universally love Do Drop Inn, while those from elsewhere either love or hate their pizza. After sampling pizza from all over the country, especially Manhattan and Chicago, Angelo's is the best in Pueblo. It's Neapolitan-style all the way. I personally am on the 'hate' side for Do Drop... it's like rubbery cake covered in pizza topping. So if you love thin-crust, hand-tossed pizza. Angelo's is your hangout. I deduct one star for their complete unpredictability in service and wait times. Yes, this kind of pizza takes a while to make, and there's only so much room in their oven of awesomeness. But that situation can be properly handled with good server training. They can tell their people exactly what to expect - and then do their best to make it a pleasant wait. A few of their servers need to find work elsewhere... as the "Soup Nazi" job is already taken. ;)

My favorite restaurant - so far - in Pueblo. I was on a business trip and saw this on Yelp. I love pizza, so I thought I would try it out. I wound up having a vegetarian sandwich instead. It was delicious. So, I knew that I had to come back and try their pizza. I did two days later. The pizza was extremely tasty as well. It's not traditional New York pizza, it's not Chicago style either. It's got a nice sized crust with a wonderful sauce, cheese and veggie options. Very impressed. Great atmosphere. The waitstaff could have been a little more friendly, but overall I'm a big fan and I'll be back when I go back to Pueblo.
(4)Josie S.
Great food and service! I would definitely come back here or recommend it to others.
(5)Wendi C.
Stopped by here because we were being tourists on the Riverwalk and their simply weren't that many other places to eat that looked inviting. We were seated promptly and although it was a while before we were visited by the drink guy after that it moved pretty well. We had lunch specials of pizza and salad, chicken parm and some garlic knots. All very good. Can't say it was the best ever but it certainly was good. Love their spot on the riverwalk. Now just wish there were more places open here. Over half the buildings are empty. Kind of sad..
(4)Erica M.
Delicious pizza!! My favorite in Pueblo, especially the Musso Farms pizza with green chiles on it :) yum!!
(5)Brandi T.
The mac n cheese was fantastic, great patio and friendly service. Will come back if I am in the area again.
(5)M B.
Food OK, outdoor dinning option great.

Angelo's makes some of the best pizza in Pueblo. Even though there are legendary pizza places like Do Drop, Angelo's is always my first choice. In the past I've had their buffet, which has some great pizzas, but if you want the good stuff you'll have to order off of the menu. Their specialty pizzas are all excellent. Be sure to try something with roasted green chilis. Pueblo has some of the best around and they make an awesome pizza topping. I just had a calzone the other day and was happy with it. It was huge and full of cheese (mozzarella and ricotta). You get to choose two toppings (I chose grilled chicken and roasted green chili). I knew I shouldn't eat the whole thing, but I just couldn't stop! I ended up eating it without using the tomato sauce. It was perfect without it.

I had been here once before 5 years ago. Vague memory of somewhat decent experience. Decided to give it another shot today with family in town. Prime location on good weather day. That's really about all that Angelo's has going for it. It would be packed if it were...a better restaurant. Very slow service, and I have very moderate expectations. I'd give this a one star, except the food was good enough for a star. In short, go to Angelo's with very moderate expectations. Good place for a beer with friends outside. Not so good of a place for a timely meal.
(2)Ray W.
Just walked out of Angelo's. We took the kids here for a post soccer tournament dinner, and waited twenty minutes without even being acknowledged by the wait staff.
(1)Geronimo A.
Our first server bombed out on our large table, Tracy, but DJ came through fly colors! Thanks for making it right!
(5)Bill D.
Good hand-tossed thin crust pizza. Decent dough & ingredients. Family Caesar could have a bit less dressing, got soggy. They accommodated our group of 18 well after some initial confusion. Spaghetti sauce was bland but ok with some additional touches. Garlic knots were good but that's hard to mess up. Right on the River Walk so will return if in Pueblo to sit on the patio and enjoy the sights & sounds.
(3)Leon P.
Great pasta. Perfect. Had lidnsey?? As my server super nice girl.what a gal! Just because of her i over looked the slightly under cooked pasta but the everything was great the veiw. And i just felt welcomed!
(5)Robbie C.
I know 1 of the owners there. Eric is a great friend and always treats me and my family with 100% customer service. The pizza is unbelievably amazing!!!! The first time I took a bite it literally took me back home to Chicago. The pizza, the service and the atmosphere is perfect. I go here atleast 2 - 3 times a month, and I will continue to bring my family and I for many, many years to come. Thank you Eric. I look forward to coming back again.
(5)Michael G.
We almost didn't stop at Angelos because the Yelp average was only three stars. However, our party of 5 enjoyed our dining experience, having taken a table on the patio. The food was incredible, we could tell it was made on premises from scratch. I thoroughly enjoyed the low carb pizza, made with a crispy whole wheat crust and choice of four toppings. I was very happy with it. The rest of our group enjoyed their various meals, from the spinach lasagna and chicken scalopini, spaghetti and meatballs, to the calzone. Freshly made food and good service with the nice atmosphere of the riverwalk made fit a very enjoyable evening.
(5)Diana R.
Great food and nice atmosphere, especially the outdoor seating on the river walk. My baked ziti with sausage and spinach was excellent, great breadstick and even the side salad was better than expected. definitely glad we went here for dinner! Also they had 99 cent 8 oz coors lights which were a bonus
(4)Marv B.
I came here expecting a long wait for great food. I was sadly disappointed. I was offered outside seating which i declined. After a 90 minute wait, i was seated downstairs where the patio was open, therefore it was very chilly as it was late. I was a little annoyed because i was basically placed outside. After i received my food, it was medicore. Meaghan was my server, she only checked on my table once but was very attentive to other guest around me. When i asked her about the service, she told me " i was in the area". This might be a place to hang on a nice summer day but be prepared to hang out for awhile, with limited seating options while you wait
(1)Laurie G.
Great thin-crust, hand-tossed pizza. Toppings are fresh, sauce is full of flavor. Good salads too. As far as the menu goes, I can't elaborate on anything else, as the pizza is so yummy that I always end up ordering it. Awesome location, overlooking the Pueblo Riverwalk. Friendly, helpful staff.
(4)Rae M.
Upon entering we waited as the hostess and her friend / co worker finished their conversation . Finally she asked us how many and asked us if we wanted to sit in a booth she pointed to. I've heard the patio seating is nice and was disappointed she didn't give us the option. We waited for a good 10 minutes until the hostess said she would find our waitress and "I guess get you some drinks " she never did get us drinks.. another 10 min later our waitress came and got our drink order... another 5 and we got our drinks... (mind you the place was slow, probably only 6 people in the place.) Our food took at least 45 for 3 pizza slices... pizza was okay and had the service not sucked so bad I'd probably be highly satisfied. It's sad because after reading other reviews there seems to be a pattern with poor service...the employees just don't give a shit. If I were the owner I'd seriously consider cleaning house of the current staff. This place has a lot of potential and some great pizza but the service alone makes me never want to to try it again. Also after reading the review of over hearing waitresses talking about spitting in drinks I certainly won't be in a hurry to return.. Heres a tip, hire some new staff, advertise that you did so, and I'll be back with all my friends.
(1)Jon W.
Pizza is good. The guy who seated us, who I think is a manager, womps. He was short with us, a bit rude, and everything took long. I got a free coupon through yelp when I checked in, and since their draft was down, he said he couldn't honor it. I asked if I could redeem it with a bottle. He said no, but he'd give me a dollar off a crappy beer. Our server was amazing, and though the margaritas were found wanting, the pizza was great. Our server, feeling bad about our experience, took a buck fifty off our meal.
(2)Cindy G.
Great family owned Italian restaurant on the Riverwalk. Server was attentive and friendly. Big selection of pizza toppings and known for their local Pueblo chilis. They have salads and gluten free pizza. Bar area with TV and patio dining overlooking water. Pizza was fresh.
(4)Jason E.
Very slow service. We arrived at 12:45 and they were not very busy. We ordered fairly quickly but still did not receive our order til after 1:30. Mediocre food at best. We had a calzone and a large pizza. Overpriced for the quality!
(1)Austin K.
The food was very good and for a reasonable price. It was really unfortunate when a friend told our table that the waitress was talking about spitting in our food and drinks. That is the most disrespectful god awful thing a waitress could do, we won't ever be back here.
(1)Amber B.
i just dont understand this place. it seems like everything is in place for an amazing pizza but i keep getting disappointed. i came in for lunch one day and ordered just a slice of plain. i was asked if i wanted cheese on it. isnt cheese a fundamental ingredient? ok yes, i want cheese. 25 mins later i had a slice of pizza. it was fantastic though and i was so excited that i found good pizza so i didnt mind the wait. (i'm from nj. no one has pizza like nj, but this beat the hell out of papa johns) about two weeks later, we paid for an overpriced large with pepperoni. not the same quality as my lunch slice, but edible. thought maybe they were having an off night as it took forever for it to be ready even though we called it in. tonight, we ordered a large plain. again with the cheese question?!? YES WE WANT CHEESE ON THE PIZZA! do people order "plain" pizzas without cheese? does that mean you're paying almost $20 for dough and sauce? i'm so confused. anyhow, it was awful. they lost the order but pretended they didnt and brought us a pizza that had clearly been sitting somewhere for some time. it was cold and strangely chalky tasting. the best part is that it took over an hour from the time we called. i dont think we'll be giving them another chance. their prices are way too expensive for such mediocre product.

Simply the best Italian food in the 719 area code. Always fresh. Always full of flavor. And consistent. Don't matter what you order. You won't be unhappy. Pies are thin crust, or you can get the Sicilian style for uncle Tony. Pastas are al dente. Salads are crisp. Bread is fresh. Service not the best, but the food wins me over.
(5)Michael C.
While visiting Pueblo this past weekend this place was recommended while touring the river walk. Mediocre pizza. Had a meat lover pizza cant remember the name on the menu. The portion was good. However the chunks of meat were too big. The big pieces of grilled chicken added distracted from the taste. Have had better. Didn't care for the crust either. Also ordered garlic knots not much better. Not so bad a place that I would not go back and try something else. On a good note view was great staff was friendly.
(3)Darlene L.
Everything was excellent! Started with the garlic bread knots. Four of us ordered a side salad with blue cheese dressing that is wonderful. Lasagna, Mac and cheese with red onions, bacon and blue cheese ; Stromboli and pizza chicken sandwich. All is delish. And Skyla our waitress was fabulous! Second visit: Alfredo, pizza and chicken pizza club sandwich were all delish! Service was good. This place tends to get packed do come early and bring your appetite. Portions are large be sure to check in and redeem your Free Beer coupon!
(4)Sean G.
The pizza is decent. Nice atmosphere. Our waitress was really cute and nice. So that adds an extra star. Food 3/5 Overall 4/5
(4)Cliff R.
Had the creamy tomatoe basil soup. Really excellent. The baked ziti is also very good. Not used to having "toppings" on my ziti, but it was actually quite tasty with sausage and gets cheese mixed in. Comes with mini garlic rolls. My meal was truly exceptional. Will come back again.

Two friends and I went last Friday afternoon and wanted to sit outside on the patio. The hostess said there was a 20 minute wait even though there were plenty of empty tables. When I asked why we couldn't be seated at the empty tables, she said they were saving them for "larger parties". So we waited outside for 20 minutes and I decided to go in and talk to the manager. When the hostess saw me walking up, she immediately told me she was getting out table ready! Serioulsy? The same tables were empty! We were seated, our server came over after about 10 minutes to take our order. We ordered a pizza and an appetizer. She said our appetizer would be out in 5 minutes. 20 minutes later, it came out. Our pizza took 45 minutes. This was at 2:00 in the afternoon. The food was ok, nothing great. The service was terrible. We won't be going back. The hostess should lose her job.
(3)Denine D.
The most horrible service I've ever received. We called ahead for seating and the restaurant food not honor the time given. The waitress walked away from me mid-sentence, got my order wrong and did not check on us to refill water, etc. I would not return, much better service across the street at Wine Down By The River.
(1)Duane M.
Grabbed a take out while visiting the parents in Pueblo. Got a free beer for checking in! That's a great start! Pizza was ready in a reasonable time. Fast friendly and efficient was the order for the day. I'd like to go back and order some of the other menu items and see how everything else tastes. No complaints and will try again.

OK so here goes with the review of this place. My wife and I moved to Pueblo about a year ago. Feeling like Pizza one night she wanted something from Angelo's, take out not eat in. Her nod to me was the Hawaiian, not her favorite, but it is definitely one that I like. She is from Chicago so is a bit of a pizza purist, whereas I will eat just about anything thrown in front of me. The fact that I will eat just about anything but threw out the leftovers should say something. I really mean I will eat anything, even health food. Called at 6:20pm ordered a pie with extra cheese, well done (told her twice for well done), and an order of Garlic knots. Way to go upsales to hungry people on the phone! First off. The 30 minute timeframe, don't bother. Its closer to an hour to get your order. Me standing in the lobby for close to 30 minutes waiting, not a good thing. Giving me my pizza and leaving me standing there while I then wait another 5-10 minutes for my garlic knots, is also not a good thing. They couldn't get their timing right on food delivery. I get the idea they were making it when I arrived, and not before. So got the pizza home. Well they missed both the extra cheese and the well done part of the order. Ate two pieces of pizza, my wife had one. Tossed the rest in the garbage. The crust was awful. Just doughy and underdone, no crispiness to it at all. The pie seemed like it was halfway cooked and there was no browning on the cheese whatsoever. I think they must have not started the pie until I stepped through the door looking for it, and then rushed it to get it to me. It was truly an awful thing. Not going back any time soon. I really will eat just about anything, but this was just so bad and the experience was just miserable and a huge waste of money. The only reason why they get 2 stars is the garlic knots with the marinara were passable. Summary: If you are going for the location and have an afternoon to kill, go for it. Its a beautiful area and sitting on the patio out on the riverwalk is a great thing. And thats about all they have going for them. We have not done this ourselves, but I think that we would just go someplace else, not even the location makes up for the food. If you want good service or good food go elsewhere. I don't think anyone is really in charge there and none of their trains are running on time. The food is not good for what you are paying for it. But then you are paying for the location and not the food in this instance. 2 stars. Location + the knots. Everything else should make it a (less than) 1 star joint.
(2)Amanda B.
Can't comment on the food because we're here on a Sunday night that isn't that busy and we've been waiting over an hour for our food. We have three young kids with us, who are managing surprisingly well, but this is ridiculous. Update: We got our food, though one pizza was missing, "torn" by the kitchen. So they comped the extra late pizza. I complained about the wait time and they comped the kids' meals. It was an effort by them, though the time was still unacceptable. The pizza was pretty good, though.
(1)Julie H.
They'll tell you 20 min for a table, then 30 min later, no table. So you get takeout because your kids are starving and tired they say 20 min at most, and an hour later you still have no food. Then, it'll be cold and taste bad. Don't bother, what a DUMP!!!
(1)Dwight H.
Do not attempt to use Angelo's as a place for an event, Your event may be cancelled by the manager for no reason depending on how the last group event by some group totally unrelated went. Manager said she was tired of dealing with all of the whining? We just called to plan the menu? We were expecting 150 people at $16 dollars a piece. They must be doing very well to forego that kind of business. Add to that that we are all over 65 and couldn't be rowdy if we still wanted to and we cannot understand why we were told (after our reservation had been made and everyone informed) that "we do not do class reunions any more". Beware of making group plans with Angelos.
(1)Eric R.
Yummy pizza, awesome location, friendly staff, but the service left something big to be desired. Like my garlic knots that never came. And the beer that I had to ask for three times.
(3)Mike H.
Awesome food and staff!! . Get some zeppoles w a choc/razz dipping sauce and I'll come back !
(5)Dante G.
I drive through Pueblo twice a year migrating back and forth to/from AZ. This place has become an absolute must! The pizza is absolutely amazing and the staff is excellent in a funky, understated way. Now, if I could only get them to allow me to puff a fatty on the patio after dinner it would be nirvana. It is Colorado after all.
(5)Brandon G.
Stopped by this place on my way back to Denver. I hadn't stopped in Pueblo prior, but I'm really glad I did and discovered this pizza parlor. Their prices may seem a little up there, but that's just to be expected for the quality of ingredients you are getting here. They even have breaded eggplant as a topping choice for pizza! That was kinda a winner for me. So the reason I am rating this place 4 stars instead of 5, is because they didn't care to warm up the garlic knots enough prior to serving them... The marinara was scorching hot, which was perfect, but due to the knots being a little cold from just sitting out until they are ordered just takes away from the taste and full satisfaction of them. I ordered the knots, this amazing house salad, and a 10" pizza with 4 toppings (the 10" with 4 tops was only 10.99...). The salad was great, I really love how fresh the salad was and how much cucumber, black/green olives, tomatoes, mixed lettuce, and mozzarella there was. Their homemade balsamic dressing and blue cheese crumbles came on the side. Gave me plenty of dressing. I cannot overtalk this place enough, they are just doing a pizza place very well. I'm sure their knots are PRIME normally, mine were just not warmed up nearly enough. Try them out and you won't be disappointed. It's really surprising how easy it is to mess up pizza, (some places do it here in Denver, shhhh), but their pizza was fantastic.
(4)Austin W.
The garlic knots are amazing and the Musso Farms pizza is by far the best pizza I've ever had. Our waitress was excellent and very friendly. The beer selection is above average and the ingredients are fresh and local. I have to give it five stars simply because I doubt I will ever have a better pizza.
(5)Heather P.
We just moved to this area and the 2 times we went here were excellent. I thought the food was amazing and the service was great and sitting on the patio was awesome. Although last night there was an older lady working as a greeter and it was 10 minutes before closing and she seemed annoyed that we were so late. However, the cute, bubbly little waitress that helped us was awesome. The pizza was tasty and huge. I liked it a lot. We've been to other "hole in the wall" pizza joints in this run-down town and Angelo's was my favorite hands down!
(4)Deidre E.
I take full responsibility for my disappointment with Angelo's. Perhaps it was the sign outside the front door stating "Restroom only for customers", or the menu written colorfully on the slate outside the door. Perhaps it was the outdoor seating situated nicely next to the river-walk and the nearby fountain. I had a fairly high expectation in mind before I entered the door of Angelo's, and sadly, that's all my fault. Don't get me wrong, it's not a terrible restaurant. The inside is cozy, with nicely situated seating areas, with a large, open area in the corner which, for me, the mom walking around with two other moms and a total of five children under the age of 4 (both with two large strollers to boot), was totally welcome. The food is great. Decently-priced, and served with notably fresh ingredients. (As in, the pizza looked freshly made, and not just pulled from the freezer and popped in the oven.) The tomato basil was thick, creamy, and rich, though it was served somewhat lukewarm. For the main dish, I ordered the blue cheese macaroni with bacon, which, I have to say, was really great. Very rich and filling, and awesomely tasty. The bread crumbs on top were a nice touch, and for $7, was a great deal for the main course. Service was okay. Our waitress was nice, but not terribly attentive, and the food took forever to be served. The appetizers are apparently designed with a total eating time of over 40 minutes, because we didn't get the main courses until at least that long after the appetizers were served. Which is cool, if you have the time to just sit and talk to whatsoever adult with whom you happen to be dining out. Lengthy adult conversations are fantastic, I'll be the first to admit. When you have children, though, with attention spans of about a minute at a time, that long of a delay can be deadly. Not to mention the delay once we tried to get the checks and get out, the first time. We had to wait an endless amount of time to tell the waitress that we needed separate checks, and she had to get her manager to split them, which apparently didn't work out too well (despite taking at least 15 minutes), since every single check had the wrong person's meal with drinks. At that point, though, with three of the five children in desperate need of naps, we didn't care, paid our checks, and shoved our strollers out the door as quickly as humanely possible. So, bottom line, don't go here if you like speedy service. If you're heading out for a leisurely time, with some awesome adults to converse happily with for an afternoon, totally check this place out, because the food is worth the wait. Don't try and take your smaller children here, though, unless you ask for a table outside, because the long waits will end up making you involuntary lose half your hair with stress.

I visited Pueblo last week with my sister in law. She had some work to do in the area, so I hung out around town exploring. It was around 2pm and I came across this little gem on the Riverwalk. What a great find! I had the the Italian hero sandwich hot, accompanied by a bowl of Tomato Basil soup. It was very good!! And my waitress was awesome! Very welcoming place and staff. I would love to visit again when the patio is open, I can imagine sitting out there eating and have a nice cold beverage or two.
(5)Ben W.
The quality of the food is good enough, but service is unpredictable. Dining in for a late afternoon lunch, we waited nearly 50 minutes for an order. Another day, I placed a delivery order for 3pm and they arrived at 2:30 instead. Yet another day, everything was on time.
(3)Sheila F.
My idea don't go here, I ate here 3 times last week extremely inconsistent my recommendation unless your there for the river walk its a gamble so go elseware, the first time waiter was attentive food was great salad fresh, pizza perfect,so we went back the next day WOW this time 8 of us, spent way to much for 8 and was embarrassed for choosing this place, ordered some of same things, salad didn't even have same lettuce and not fresh tasted old and yucky , pizza soggy crust and waitress was MIA so should have known better then to try a 3rd time, but no did call in order from Marriott for 2 soups they could have been tasted good but no barely warm + nothing to eat them with also had to wait 15 min for them so they should have been hot.
(1)Troy H.
Our experience was awful in every way imaginable. My kids and I had driven down to Pueblo for the day just to look around since we'd never been there before. We ended up at the River Walk area around lunch and were really hungry. Angelo's was the only place open it seemed, but my kids like Italian food so we decided to stop in and sit on the patio. It took 10 minutes before someone even took a drink order, and another 10 minutes to get the drinks back to the table. We should have walked away at that point, but my kids wanted to stay. it was another 10 minutes before anybody even took our order. To sum it up, our food arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes after it was ordered. The waitress only showed up every 1/2 hour or so. Apparently she was clueless that the ticket didn't print out in the kitchen. We only got asked about refilling our drinks once in that whole time, and mind you it was pretty hot outside. By the time the food got there, my daughter's spaghetti was cold, and the pizza (which made Chuck E. Cheese pizza seem gourmet in comparison) was just lukewarm, like you remember in your middle school cafeteria. yeah - the cheese was already solidified on top. We had to ask for napkins and silverware, too. The waitress apologized and said the manager gave us $20 off. Whoop-ti-doo. We were there over 2 hours, using up ALL the time we had left in Pueblo, suffered through the worst service ever and terrible food, and all they offered was a lousy $20. We're never going back to either Pueblo or Angelo's, even if they get Chef Ramsey down there to whip them into shape. Yes, they were THAT bad.
(1)Harry V.
I'm local and have eaten here several times. Service is consistently awful. The only draw is that it is located on the river walk. If you want average pizza and your drinks filled occasionally this is your favorite spot.
(1)Kevin M.
Came here for lunch. The portions are huge and the food is good, but it takes forever for your food to come out. We were one of the first tables to come in for lunch and I could not believe the amount of time it took to get our food. Yes we did have a couple people order Calzone's but I orders a simple sandwich and it took 15 minutes after the Calzone's came out to get my food. Just plan on a long lunch, or dinner.

garlic knots were good so was the soup...bunch of tv's with the Broncos game playing (i guess if you're a Broncos fan, that's a good thing). We ordered a lot of food, and nothing else really stands out.

Angelos is the classic pizza parlor, definitely a good place to stop if youre walking along the river walk. Make sure you try some of their more unusual pizzas, they're very good! I recommend getting a pizza with green chiles on it, with Alfredo sauce (sorry can't remember the actual names!) They also have some very nice outdoor seating if you want to look out on the riverwalk.

While the Arkansas Riverwalk is a neat experience, Angelos Pizza Parlor lacks. First, the Host talked us out of sitting outside, by the river walk, the whole reason why we came to Pueblo. Then he did the same for at least a half a dozen parties that came in after we did. It seemed like it was too much trouble for the wait staff, there was nothing wrong, the weather was beautiful and the tables were empty. Second, the pizza. Gross. Grease beyond grease, the worst I've ever had. More grease than the crust could even absorb, and a even a healthy dose of parmesan cheese didn't soak it all up. There is certainly better pizza available. I had hoped for much better.

Pizza and the rest of the food are pretty average, but very bad and unfriendly service. Asked to have group dinner there, could have easily made $500-$600+ off our group (parents ordering meals and alcohol) but they offered us only pizza buffet (cheese and pepperoni) with soda. Hmm... I don't think so... Maybe that would have worked for lunch but definetely not dinner.

Went here for lunch. The food was good, not the best pizza I've ever had but it placed in the top 10. The garlic knots and spinach dip were fantastic. Unfortunately they were a bit short staffed so it did take a fairly long time for stuff to get to out table, but she was very pleasant and apologized for it. Has a nice view of the river walk and wasn't too bad of a price. Proportions are really big!

I met up with my friend -- who was in initial flight screening -- in Pueblo, CO. We decided on pizza. Being about 15 minutes from the airport, we decided that Angelo's PIzza would be a good option. Located in what I suppose is downtown Pueblo, we parked alongside the curb and entered Angelo's. We were immediately seated. We then opted for Chicken Wings to begin. Eventually, we ordered the "The Cozzetta" pizza, which has extra sausage and pepperoni. The service was a bit slow, but not too bad. After a few minutes, our food arrived. The pizza was very good. The crust was baked just right, and the pizza was liberally covered with toppings and cheese. The chicken wings were good, as well. Although minor, the waitress never checked in with our table. And when asked for Tabasco sauce, it took her several minutes to return. Appetizers range from about $3 to $8. Entrées -- particularly the pizzas -- range from about $15 to $19 for small and large, respectively. Additional Notes: - Lasagna, sandwiches, and wraps are also available.

Good solid pizza parlor on the riverwalk in Pueblo. The decor reminded me of Buca de Beppo, but here they really mean it. It seemed like this place has been in Pueblo a while - but probably in a different location. This seems to be the kind of place Pueblo always used to have - a mom and pop Italian place with a big range of options from pastas to sandwiches and pizzas. Relax and have a glass of their very solid house Chianti - we had several and it hit the spot. The pizza is thin crust with a tangy-sweet sauce that they probably take some pride in making - it has a distinct flavor as if this is someone's family recipe. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, we got our order in no time and had our extra rounds of beer right when we wanted them. All in all, a very nice experience.
