Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I went to dinner here for the umpteenth time last night with a group of 6. I've always been a fan of their mushroom/pico-like salsa and the margaritas are usually pretty outstanding too. For dinner, I had the Pollo Asado Burrito - decent, but nothing to write home about. The Caldo de Pollo that I've had in the past has been much better, so I suppose that's what I deserve from straying from my usual... HOWEVER, the highlight of our evening was our server, "Roni Peperoni" on the receipt - did not catch if that was his actual name or not. He committed each of our orders to memory and delivered them perfectly. Further, he was always there when needed but it never felt like he was hovering and I could tell he was working quite the large section of tables. A true professional! Bottom line: If average-to-good Americanized Mexican is your thing, 3 Margaritas does not disappoint. It's certainly not "authentic", but the service is on point and they are excellent at accommodating large parties!

HAPPY ACCIDENT Found this place accidentally when trying for Chipotle. Boy, am I glad we did! The mushroom salsa and chips was fresh and tangy. This road weary (mostly) vegan ordered the veggie enchiladas with puréed carrot "ranchero" sauce and it was amazing. **Of note, the staff found and held my black jacket. Thank you!

Excellent service and excellent food. Took parents for their birthdays and it was a great time.

Meh. My family stopped here for lunch as we were driving back to Texas. The salsa was blah, but the mushroom salsa was interesting and actually pretty tasty. Everything in the mushroom salsa tasted very fresh and I thought it was a unique dish - definitely never seen that before, so you get a star for that, 3 Margaritas. The food was also blah. The tamale I got was just okay; they leave the husks on their tamales when they bring them out to you. I think my plate also had an enchilada on it? The food was so blah that I can't even remember what I ate. Things aren't looking so good for you now, 3 Margaritas. Service was decent - no complaints on that front. The price to tastiness ratio at this place is way off, though. Not every Mexican restaurant has to be super cheap and I'm totally cool with paying more for Mexican food, provided it is good. The food here is on the pricey side and I didn't feel the prices were justified for what was served. Sure, portions are large, but I can get large portions at virtually every Mexican restaurant for $3-4 cheaper. I can also get food that tastes much better and is more memorable. Maybe I just got the wrong thing, but first impressions were this restaurant's only chance with me since I was on vacation, and there was hardly anything to remember about eating here.

I have been to 3 Margaritas a few times since I moved to Pueblo, CO. I enjoy going to 3 Margaritas for lunch or dinner. They have good lunch specials, and at dinner, I usually treat myself with a good margarita! I love their colorful premises, located just off Highway 50 and I-25. What sometimes bothers me at 3 Margaritas is their waiting staff.. Last Friday, we were lucky - we got to enjoy the presence of an excellent waitress who was efficient, kind and witty! Buen provecho!

Will not be eating here again, food is not that good and prices ridiculous I don't mind paying for good food but for this, beans taste like their two days old, corn tortilla that should be soft is not and the hard tacos are soggy. The only good thing worth eating was the mushroom salsa.

Cockroach joins dining table! Used to love this place... Until we saw a cockroach on our last (and I mean last) visit. Food is generally ok. Awesome mushroom salsa thing they serve. But will never go back. Manager refused to come speak to us and just asked the host to move our table in the middle of our meal. Cockroach chilled with us on the wall for five minutes before hostess came and killed it with her shoe while we were collecting our belongings.. We were literally puking in our mouths outside. Do not eat there unless you want uninvited guests joining your dining experience.

Won't be back. THere was a fly in my food. I didn't even get so much as an apology. The waiter said "oh it's a mosquito" and walked away holding it in his hand. After that he became very short tempered and avoided us. The bill stayed the same, he didn't care. Not to mention the beans were runny as if they were watered down and the salad was gross. There were floaties in my water so I never touched it.

My family and I eat here at least 3 times a week! Friendly waitstaff and the food is always fantastic. Not sure why this place is rated so low. One of the best authentic Mexican places in pueblo!

We like this place quite a lot. We usually share a Molcajete which is essentially a bowl of seasoned meat and cheese served over mexican green sauce and pico de gallo with corn or flour tortillas, rice, and beans for $15.50!!! If we're eating from two plates, I'll usually go for the trio or the Burrito Colorado. Both are excellent! The staff is friendly and attentive. The wait staff insists on calling us Senoritas despite the fact that we're obviously Senoras. I speak Spanish and I've NEVER heard the staff talking trash. We very much like the salsa and chips. They also provide a homemade mushroom salsa that is excellent. The place is clean and well run. While you see these franchises closing all over Colorado, I expect this one to keep going strong.

The Best tortilla soup! The best homemade tortillas! The complimentary mushroom salsa is amazing! 3 Margaritas is a chain in Colorado but this one is the best - I eat here every time I am in Pueblo. Service is great and everyone is super friendly and attentive. I love this place!

FINALLY! A Mexican restaurant worth mentioning. Extensive menu, superb service, and authentic food. The complimentary salsa and mushroom/lime dish were great. The red snapper was grilled and tasty; it came with a vegetable side that included cactus. Yum! Whole wheat tortillas are available. Hooray! Most Mexican places don't offer health conscious items. Will be back.

Use to be good keeps going down hill. Last time we were there I had a chimmy and sent it back, next one wasn't much better. Sad

So, it was kind of random that my husband and I ended up at 3 Margarita's last night. We moved to Pueblo back in January and have been trying different places every time we go out. Usually we go home disappointed. Last night was different! First of all, I would give it three stars if it weren't for the awesome waiter we had! I forget his name, but I would give him a shout out if I didn't. Even though he was new to working there he was patient and even went out of his way to check prices on some drinks we asked about. I got the burrito deluxe with shredded beef and the husband got the Loco Burrito. They both were good, but mine was better. You could tell it wasn't frozen and then reheated in the kitchen. It had chunks of fat attached to some of the meat.. so good. Mr. M even said he wished he had gotten the shredded beef since his beef was a bit dry. When we got the check, there was some slight confusion since on the menu the burrito my husband got was listed as 9.95 but on the bill it said 13.25. Not a huge deal, and we were in a hurry to get home so we didn't question it but next time we will definitely say something if it happens again! Otherwise, the building was CLEAN, and that says a lot for a place in Pueblo, cause we have been some dirty places down here. I didn't go to the restroom, so I can't vouch for that. Anyway, I would recommend it !

Delicious food ambiance and service both English and Spanish speaking wait staff. Food is always perfect and cooked exactly as you ordered. I've always had a great experience here.

I can't believe I'm the one writing the first review for this 3 Margaritas and I don't even live in Pueblo, hell I live over a thousand miles away out west in San Diego. It just so happened that we were staying at the Sleep Inn this past week during our trip to Colorado so we came here one night to meet a lot of family, about 20 people total. The food was average. I'm used to exceptional mexican food since I live 30 minutes from the border, but for CO mexican it was good. I had the chicken mole which was okay. The mole itself was good. It had a nice sweetness to it, mostly the peanut butter and chocolate contributed to that, but there was no spiciness to it like advertised on the menu which was disappointing. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food, however one of the plates had cold food on it. The chips and salsa were good, as well as the plate of fresh protein absent ceviche that they brought out to eat with the chips. To be honest I wasn't focused much on the food because I was there with family I hadn't seen in five years plus, but overall it seemed decent enough.

Food is not the norm for pueblo. This more on the authentic Mexican side. I'm not bashing local Colorado/New Mexico style Mexican food because I think green chili and the like are awesome. That just isn't the kind of food you find in Mexico. They have great fish and guacamole made tableside. Great value and an excellent selection of Mexican beer. They also have homemade tortillas which are to die for.
