Do not use their website to order in advance! I've eaten here a few times now. I think the sushi is quite good. The customer service is lacking though both at the restaurant or if you order delivery. I really like that you can order delivery. If you call and order, it goes smoothly but if you want order in advance just don't even try. I was having a large group of friends over and wanted to order in advance to make sure that we served dinner on time. I ordered via the website about 10 hours before I needed the food so that the restaurant would be prepared for the large order. Forty-five minutes after the food was supposed to have arrived, we still had no sushi. My guests were hungry and were eating other things. I called the restaurant and they said they didn't know what I was talking about. They rummaged around through some papers while I was on the phone and then said "Oh we have an order from" and stated my name. I said yes, and they made the order. They didn't apologize for the mix up. They didn't issue a discount. The food was good and the order was correct, but by the time the food arrived, my guests had nibbled on a lot of other things and I was left with a lot of leftover sushi that I had to throw out. I would only order from here again because it's one of the few sushi places in town where I have not found a bone in my sushi.

No thanks! Chirashi in Japanese means raw fish or vegetables on a vinegar rice, they serve it like sashimi platter!? Every Japanese restaurant I went to serves it correctly. I asked kindly why it was served that way and they said customers don't like it that way!? Then don't call it Chirashi or even serve it! Sashimi was great though...

I have gone a few times and I agree with other reviewer's that something just does not taste right about the sushi, but I can't put my finger on it. The bento boxes are okay, the salad dressing is tasty. They have basically nothing on the menu that a child would like, so that is a drawback. The atmosphere is nice, and the restaurant is very clean. The presentation of the sushi is beautiful, but they need to bring the quality up. I have yet to receive good service and I'm never sure if the waitresses understand English 100% because my order is usually delivered to the table incorrectly.

Should have gone to Mariachi's for my birthday on Cinco de Mayo. Yutaka's didn't even sing me happy birthday. How depressing. I went to Yutaka's to avoid the Cinco de Mayo crowds because I have 2 small kids and my husband was out of town. Totally regret it. Not sure I will go back at all now.

The amazing roll is just that. ...amazing! I could eat that everyday! My son always picks this place when we give him an option because the salmon is fresh and delicious!

Decided to give it a shot since my husband and I have never been. We were seated right away and sat for 25 minutes. We were never waited on so decided to leave and head to our usual sushi place for good service and top notch sushi. I may give it another shot but am not holding my breath.

Best sushi in town! The freshness of the fish can't be beat, and the rolls are the most creative of all the sushi restaurants in Parker. Always great service, very prompt to the table with a smile. Never have had a bad experience here! This place is very good if you've been eating sushi for awhile and are looking for something more than a California roll (which is also offered among other things for the less adventurous). Junz across the street just doesn't even come close to Yutaka.

Today was the final straw in a string of terrible experiences that far outweigh the good. There are too many sushi restaurants in Parker to deal with bad customer service. Between having a very nosey delivery driver (who would lean in and around me to see in my house)to orders being wrong, to them licking the spoon while making a lemon drop and putting it back in the glass and an argumentative server, I'm done. I placed a to go order here a few weeks back and unfortunately didn't check the order for accuracy. I got home only to find that the tuna I ordered was actually replaced with salmon, which I don't eat. I called the restaurant and they said they would add a credit for the missing sushi, which I was fine with. Went in today to place my normal $40-$50 worth of sushi and reminded them of the credit. The server stated I had come in last week and asked for the credit (I was in the hospital last week, so there was no way I had taken the credit.) I let her know that I had not come in nor asked for the credit and she started arguing with me stating I had and that I didn't know what I was talking about (and said that I had requested the salmon, again which I don't eat. ) The 'manager' stated she knew I hadn't come in, but the waitress kept running her mouth and wouldn't let the manager speak. I asked if she'd like to see my bank statement proving I hadn't been in, the waitress said yes, to which I promptly left the restaurant. I called the restaurant to speak to the owner, in which the manager said she was the owner and said she had placed my order. Never once did she apologize for her employees behavior, I informed her that she lost a very loyal customer and she replied with 'ok.' Promptly went up the street to Kurosawa, ordered my sushi, they checked the order with me and I'm currently enjoying my meal that had large, fresh pieces of fish for a reasonable price without argumentative employees. Don't waste your time for 'okay' sushi with terrible service just for the price, there are plenty of businesses in Parker that appreciate your business and prove so by their customer care.

Ate here to celebrate my husband getting a new job. Dishes are served family style. I thought the food was good. We have two children and they don't really have a lot of options for kid size portions. It's was expensive so that's probably why we haven't been back.

the Good: Food was very good. Dining area very comfortable. The Bad: Service. Young girl who did not know the menu, enjoyed checking her smart phone instead of checking on how our meal was; Older asian woman that acted like us being there was annoying. Servers came to the table three times to drop off a dish and didn't notice my son's soda glass was empty..... Will never go back

The sushi didn't taste very fresh, but it wasn't terrible. The miso and salad with ginger dressing were very good, as was the shrimp and vegetable tempura. It's a nice atmosphere and the wait staff is pleasant. I've been here a couple times (I know to order the sushi without the mayo) and I don't think it's all that expensive. The food is pretty good. I will eat at Yutaka again!

We arrived at around 6.40 in the 27th, and after 3 minutes of standing at the entrance, we were seated. This was a sign of things to come (even though I hoped it wasn't) we say at a table by the window, and we're 5 given water straight away with a quick witted seeming waitress. The appetizers were delivered promptly, and that's where things stopped being fast. I understand obligatory it was busy statement) it was busy and there were maybe 3 tables empty. But we must have waited probably about 13 minutes before receiving our order. A number of the wait staff were walking by our table a number of times without noticing seemingly obvious things. When we received our order I hadn't been given anything to eat with and I can have to look at my plate and just kind of stare and eventually ask someone for an eating utensil. It really felt like some of the white stuff for panicking and others which were completely oblivious to what was going on. After finishing our meals and waiting on the sushi that we had ordered the two whole pieces even know there was a severe backlog in the sushi area. We find the office for a to go box and one of the waitresses whom we asked to have the box walked by and tossed it out of so we can see through it but definitely didn't send it to us or put it on the table in a caring way it was sort of here you go I have other things to do that are far more important. We normally don't come to the restaurant in eat there at night and now we know that there's probably a reason why we won't do it again. In the day when there's no one there it's fine but on a very busy nights especially after a lot of snow in most people are probably just really sick of staying in, the service just goes right through the floor. They were however cordial about apologizing for the wait for the sushi, yet I looked about the time the sushi arrived there were at least 13 tables empty so I don't understand how it was possibly the that overwhelmingly busy at that time.

Hubs and I went to eat lunch here on a Sunday and was seated promptly. The person who seated us returned to eat her lunch at the sushi bar and ignored us the remainder of the time. There was two other tables there besides ours so it wasn't busy at all. The sushi chef appeared to be playing with the fish and also ignored us. We sat for awhile and decided it wasn't worth waiting for. Really disappointing and a waste of time.

Sushi was prepared to look very nice but the fish was not fresh at all, borderline rotten. Has ruined us for a while on sushi. Junz is much better and for the same price. We ordered the dynamite appetizer which I have had many times but this one had cucumber as a filler, warm/hot cucumber...not a good thing ever. We got the chicken teriyaki to go for my husband who said it was just ok. We won't be back.

Has got to be one of the best sushi places in all of Colorado. Its in a little bit of a dive location right next to gas station and liquor store. Not a location you'd really expect to find amazing food in but you do. The prices aren't to bad some of the rolls are pretty expensive compared to other places that serve the same rolls. But the food is totally worth the extra few bucks. Get the volcano roll when you go in. It is hands down the best roll I've had anywhere.
(5)Brian S.
My visit here started off pretty badly but got slowly better, so I'll forgo the two-star rating. Nobody was at the hostess stand so after three minutes of standing there like a dope I walked over to the sushi bar and asked if I could sit down (you never know who's station is closed or whose turn it is in the wait staff rotation) and the sushi chef just stared at me while the hostess and waitress were chatting away and goofing off at the register. However as I said things got better. The fish in the sashimi was Ok. Not great - a little fishy, which you don't want. The rainbow roll was on point, but the King Maki and Ocean Maki rolls were definitely off. The presentation was good, but the quality of the fish just isn't that great. However (again), the prices do reflect the level of fish quality. For the same meal across the street at Junz you're going to pay 20% more and get top-notch service. So, all things being equal, it's just Ok. They are open late so that's a bonus point.
(3)Billy F.
Not bad but not great either. Way too expensive for the quality of what you get. Service was decent but not great either all in all this place was blah and I won't be going back...
(3)Jafey A.
Very fast with solid service, but the food did not seem to be very fresh.
(3)Pixie M.
I had drive past this place so many times and thought "I really should stop in some time". So, the sushi is just "ok" but it's not a place that I would never go back to.

My food was a 2, and my girlfriend's was a 4, so I gave them a 3. I really wanted this place to have better tasting food. The atmosphere was good, and the service was good, but my food just fell short. I had the yaki udon that had an odd taste. It was mixed with chicken but the sauce had an odd vegetable flavor to it, so it didn't mesh too well. My sushi, the Parker roll, just disappointed me. The fish tasted old and none of the flavors worked, basically it didn't taste like anything. Now, my gf's sushi was pretty good, it had good flavors that worked well together. And she got the tonkatsu, which I usually get, and you really can't go wrong with that. I'll have to try it again before I can really give it a final verdict.

We really enjoyed their miso soup, sushi, and everything!
(5)Chris J.
The best sushi in Parker. I eat there once a month at least. Very friendly staff as well!
(5)Ai Ling C.
I love that they remember me here even when I only come every few months. Roll luncheon with three rolls for $10.50 is amazing. I wish they were a little busier--if I could afford to eat here every week I would, and I want this place to survive!
(4)Shane L.
I was there on NYE and everything we had was absolutely perfect. Maybe others had a poor experience but mine was not. I'll be going there more often. Volcano was the best I've had and the staff was really nice. Definitely go try for yourself.
(5)Chara A.
Always fantastic! Come in for the tuna tar tar and a cocktail and you won't be disappointed.

While visiting my mother in Parker, we both decided to try this place for its happy hour. My expectations were lowered as coming from the Bay Area, we have an abundance of sushi restaurants to choose from. Going in with an open mind, I found that the happy hour had a limited food menu and prices are steep at $1/pc. for nigiri. The fish cuts weren't fresh, slices of fish were thin and the rice on the bottom fell apart easily. The hamachi cone was also disappointing as the seaweed was tough and chewy. The special sushi roll was drenched in sauce leaving one to wonder what was in the roll. It was small and steeply priced at $11.95. Thank goodness for the agadashi tofu and seaweed salad which is the only thing I seemed to have enjoyed. It's a shame that they charge for tea, $2/cup, as this is normally complimentary for a Japanese restaurant. Sad experience here and plan to never return.
(2)Karen L.
Sushi was not good, and the udon was mediocre.
(2)Amy R.
My husband and I call this place "Yu-suka" and will likely never visit again. We checked it out during their Happy Hour and sat at the sushi bar for a small bite. The sushi was VERY over-priced and so-so. To make matters worse, the 2 waitresses must have asked/pushed us to buy the insanely expensive "special rolls" 5+ times though we declined every time. If you really want sushi and it has to be in Parker, Junz is your best bet and it's very nearby.
(2)Natalee R.
We had Thunder rolls and MC Hammer rolls. They were excellent. Staff is very friendly.
(4)Jason W.
Service was great. Good sushi for someone who was living in New York. Great variety on Rolls. Well presented and a good atmosphere.
(5)Seth J.
If you want sushi in Parker, Junz is better, but all the really good sushi places are in Denver! Their rolls (which is all we really get when we go out for sushi) are just not as good. Everyone else that's reviewing seems to think that the fish isn't as fresh. I'm not sure what it is exactly but it just doesn't taste that good and doesn't leave you dying to go back.
(2)Lou C.
food is usually very good. The people are nice. We like Yutaka it is close and a restaurant worth trying.
(4)Megan G.
The King maki rolls are AWESOME!!! A little pricey but I'm never disappointed. Delivery is fast and free. Philly rolls and shrimp tempura maki rolls are also yummy.
(4)Stephanie L.
Yutaka is a great little sushi place in Parker. The interior is very modern and the staff is great. They have great lunch specials and roll specials. My fave is the volcano!
(4)Marie M.
I ate here last night and was quite disappointed. The fish just was not fresh. Good sushi should not taste as 'fishy' as their rolls did. The prices were also not great. The tab for my husband and I came to $100 (we had sake and dessert with our meal but we could have eaten someplace much better for the money). Junz (across the street) has much better sushi.

I've just move in this town, i'd like to try the best susi in town. try few restaurant,i still thinking yutaka is the best susi in town.
(5)Bill E.
This restaurant is excellent. On arriving as a resident in Parker from Boulder I was disappointed in the local Sushi offerings. Then Yutaka opened. Great staff, nice new restaurants and sushi chefs that understand the art of the effort. Try the boxes, especially the Box B. $20 buys a bunch of sushi and sashimi in this Package.
(5)Mira S.
Japanese restaurant owned and operated by Chinese folks (just like Mt. Fuji restaurants). Hmm... They have few dishes on the menu that are cooked pretty well (chicken teriyaki, nabeyaki udon soup) but other than that it's pretty mediocre. The tempura is fried in low-quality oil because it smells and tastes really bad. The sushi quality is pretty bad - they are trying to be cheap - end up cutting really thin pieces of fish (very thin and narrow), the quality of the fish is just bad (may not be fresh but it is not top grade quality fish!). For the same prices, I'd go a block to the west to Junz.
(2)Cass D.
Well, what can I say I'm not a big fan of sushi or Japanese food but I decided to humor the guy I was dating because he really loved their location in Greenwood Village. Prices seemed a bit high to me. The service wasn't horrible but it wasn't spectacular either. I felt really out of place in this restaurant. It's just amazing to me that people can get away with charging so much for a plate of cold noodles. Next time I'll stay home and microwave some ramen.
