First off I don't ever write bad reviews. I am very open when it comes to experiencing new bars. Rarely do I ever come across a horrible bar. Since I've moved to denver I've probably tried out about 30 different bars and this is the first one I've felt shitty about. Horrible service, foods not that great, staff doesn't care about customers at all, with the exception of one, the manager, couldn't get service from any of the normal staff..took forever to get drinks and the bar tender was a little on the slow side (credited the wrong card) needless to say I had one drink and food and walked out. Will never go back.

I have been accused of hating On The Rox. Let me me clear - I WANT it to be successful. There is nothing else nearby to provide competition - maybe that's part of the problem. And although the owner suggests that I stay away in personal messages to me, I keep coming back because I hope that it will be and get better. Here are some specific comments that I hope she and you will find helpful. The food here is very good. Unfortunately the kitchen hours are very inconsistent - particularly late at night. The bar staff and service are terrific. The table service is where the primary problems lie. The service is incredibly slow and it is difficult to get the female servers' attention unless you are a young male. We waited for service for twenty minutes one night, when the place was nearly empty, while the server stood at the bar and talked to her boyfriend. The servers need to pay attention to everyone - not just the young men that they flirt with for bigger tips. Believe it or not, sometimes the woman is the money maker in the household and women typically tip better than men. Go to On The Rox to have lunch and be sure to eat at the bar. You can't go wrong.

About eight of us have been going to this bar to watch the Green Bay Packers games. We always sit in the overflow area where the pool table is located. Until last week everything was great. Servers and bar staff very friendly and attentive. We have the game turned on along with the sound and always had a good experience. Until last week. We were there early and everything was fine until some Broncos fans came in. The owner turned the sound extremely loud on the Broncos game. Now I realize I live in Bronco country but as a loyal customer all I wanted was to have the Packers game sound turned on. The sound was so loud the seven year old with us covered her ears for most of the game. We asked that it be turned down but were told they couldn' t do it unless the Broncos fans asked. So she accommodated 6 Broncos fans. One couple left around the start of the second quarter and the rest left at half time. Then she turned the GB game sound on. Apparently loyalty is not appreciated by the owner. She lost our group permanently as we are watching the playoff game at my house. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. We are looking for a new bar for next season.

When I first got there there was no sign at the front to seat myself do I waited at the front for about ten minutes before anyone acknowledged me. After that I placed my order to go and it didn't take long to get. For the price I paid, it was a descent amount of food but nothing that would make me suggest it over any other sports bar. All in all, give it a try if you are in the area, because it only one of two sports bars in the area.

This is a good sports bar off of Lincoln and I-25. They have a nice menu with more than just the typical bar fare. It's a great place to watch a game because they have a lot of televisions. They also have a happy hour that lasts until 9 p.m. The service was good - more attentive than I would have expected, considering how busy they were. My one issue would be the strength of their drinks. They really weren't strong enough. Other than that, it was a nice sports bar.

Headline: Come for football and beer - not the food. When driving along Lincoln avenue, wondering what to have for dinner. You may spot On the Rox and think "Hmmm - that might be worth investigating". Trust me - it isn't. Things start off bad - the very strong odor of stale cigarette smoke lingers right outside the door. Inside, it's your typical sports bar - TV's wherever you look and a good extensive beer list. We were shocked that there were so many empty tables on a Sunday evening. Since we don't drink, my wife and I sat down with the menu. I settled on the half rack of ribs, with baked beans and tater tots. To say this was a disappointment would be an understatement. The ribs sucked - big time. Overcooked and difficult to eat and slathered with an out-of-the-bottle bbq sauce that tried to mask the flavor. The beans were forgettable. The tater tots were hot, and I wish they had done SOMETHING with them - like salt. The highlight of the meal was the cilantro ranch dipping sauce, which - when you think of it - is a really sad indictment of the entire meal. Come for the beer and the football - skip the food.

Open late, by Colorado suburbs standards. Kitchen closes about 945. The food is okay+. The late closing is the main attractive feature

  • Jennifer R.

Definitely a great place for watching sports - there are probably 20 TVs within sight of any seat in the restaurant. It's a nice location and nicely designed interior. Highlights: fried pickles, the egg burger, pulled pork sandwich, constant happy hour deals. Lowlights: some inconsistent quality of food, the monte cristo, the limited selection of dark beers, funny-tasting water. It's a great local place, and I'm happy it's within walking distance.

Tried this place for lunch since we live right down the street. It was just ok. We waited about ten minutes before our server came to the table, and when she did we found out they didn't have kid's menus (although we were told they're coming). We didn't get a drink menu, and it took a few tries before we were able to order a drink that they had. There looked to be more fried food than grilled food on the menu. We tried two of the flatbreads - they were good, but one inexplicably had a pile of wilted cilantro in the middle of the plate. I think we'll be back, but certainly not in a hurry, and only because it happens to be close by.

  • Ryan W.

They are brand new to the neighborhood. We are so glad to have a place with great bar food and a fun atmosphere.

    (5)
  • Marie M.

Not bad for bar food. The flatbread was pretty good, the apps were greasy (to be expected) and the service was excellent. They have a lot of televisions if you are there to watch a game. There is a large selection of beers, but only one (bad) wine selection. I would go back to watch a game.

  • Jenn F.

Have given this joint many chances since they opened. Food is good and tv's are great, but service is what matters and this place doesn't get that concept! Way too loud and the staff is unaware of their primary job, acknowledge and serve patrons! Staff seems preoccupied with other "influences"...unprofessional. Last, how do you close your kitchen on Sunday night during Sunday night football?!?!? The opportunity in this place is limitless but will fall short in the end. Disappointed! Oh, we have shared comments with owner which is even more disappointing...heading back to The Rail!

  • Sean S.

Great bar! Came here for lunch with some co workers. Had Rox Sliders was good. Co workers had fish and hips and loved them. Staff/waitress was awesome. We all would come back.

  • Rusher C.

Avoid at all costs. Manager (short guy with goatee) has napoleon complex. Witnessed him verbally berate guests. He chastised, chased, and or tries to kick out whomever questions the service there. Horrible experience all the way around. Hopefully the next business that occupies this building gets it right.

    (1)
  • Jafey A.

I actually love the food here. The service isn't bad, nothing special, but not bad. The reason I cant come back (which is a bummer because its 2 blocks from me) is because they refuse to leave the pickle off my plate essentially. I cannot touch pickles at all and for some reason the last three times no matter how much I stress it, there they are. Not the last time, but the time before the owner sat down and told me it wouldn't happen again. She didn't apologize or offer anything for the constant problem, but that was fine with me, but nevertheless we tried one more time and the same problem resulted. We are done. There is clearly no attention to detail nor a concern with following through with costumers requests/needs.

  • Mardee B.

This place is brand new (literally 2 weeks when we tried it) so they are still working out a few kinks but it was a good experience. The staff and management were friendly and when there was a minor problem with my drink, they investigated the problem, apologized and comp'ed the drink. I was very satisfied with that. For a sports bar, they have a pretty extensive menu. We were a group of six and all ordered something different; everyone liked what they ordered. We'll definitely be back and I'm sure they will be even better once they've been open a little longer and have a chance to really hit their pace. Given that they have reasonable prices and happy hour that goes until 9:00, we might even make this a regular haunt.

LOUD, very loud. It was hard for my friends and me to hear each other. We went as a large group of 10 people and we could each only talk to the people seated closest to us. The service was ok. We had to remind them of a few items a few times. We had a reservation but there was no host/hostess, so we each had to look around the restaurant to find our party. The food was ok. Pretty decent, not amazing. If you're going just to hang out with friends and not watch sports, you should find a quieter place. It was too loud for conversation.

  • Thor C.

Chicken club sandwich with fries, tasty! The whole chicken breast on the club was surprisingly juicy! The bird wasn't seasoned very much, though. Good portion, good sandwich, good lunch. Cajun seasoned fries were pretty damn tasty! I was pleasantly surprised by this new find! My food was take out for lunch, so I can't comment on the location itself. I will try more of their menu at some point in time, even if most of the menu seems pricey for bar food.

Perfect little place to watch a game, good food, good prices.

2nd time around isn't always better. Very disappointed not only with our Server but the food. We had a buy 1 get 1 burger "FREE" burger. She never asked me how I wanted it cooked, but claimed, "Medium". It was well over-cooked.. We couldn'tt get out fast enough. The box came quick, but the check took forever. None of the Servers/Bartenders (Ladies) working seemed happy. Can't imagine how they make their rent. T.V.'s & bottled beers are not enough to go back.. Will always remember the great service we had the 1st time & leave it at that....

Decent neighborhood bar near Lone Tree. Met a client for Happy Hour. There were TONS of TVs and seemed like a really good place to watch a game. I had the tacos, which were good, but next time, I'm going for the wings. They looked awesome.

    (3)
  • Tony Q.

Awesome sports bar. Thunder/Heat Game 4 and nothing anyone cares about on anywhere else; 80% of the TVA turned onto the game. And if that wasn't enough; food = choices and good (egg burger was awesome). Bartenders/waitstaff = friendly, quick and you didn't wait for anything. Definitely coming back if I'm in the Denver area; specially south of.

I really hate bad service. Our server Monica was playing a game at the bar when we walked in and ignored us for at least 5 minutes. Then when she finally saw us she didn't even stopped playing, she turned to us and said seat wherever you want. I asked her for a recommendation on what's good here and she said she had no idea of what I liked, instead if actually telling me what was good here. She was rolling her eyes while she was walking the food over to us. She was completely fake and it was obvious she hates her job. Besides her, the place was decent. Food was good.

This place has a million tvs, great pitcher prices, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and REALLY good food. Excellent for a sports bar and really good by any standard. We come here for Aggie games and they are very cool about switching stations for whatever game you want to watch. Highly recommend.

Love this place good happy hour ! The food is pretty good. You can't beat the prices! Love the wait staff sienna is our girl we love her :) lots of TV's if you love sports.

It was my first time eating here, I was sorely disappointed. To make it worse, I took a friend here on her lunch break, it was her 30th birthday. First thing I noticed was there was one female server, and that was it. I counted 11 tables that she was serving. There was also only one cook in the back. Two people appeared to be running this crowded restaurant. We were promised a kid's menu for my son three times, but never got one. It took 10 minutes for her to take our order - not too bad. My ice tea was very weak, almost tasted like my water. The food was pretty decent, minus my dry ceasar salad, there was no where near enough dressing. There was no way to complain, or let alone ask for anything, because our waitress never once checked on us after our food was brought out. It also took 30 minutes to get our food, surpassing our alotted lunch break time. I'll give this place another chance sometime in the future, and if it's a different experience, I will revise my review.

I came here for a quick lunch and this place is fine. It is very large with a wrap around bar and many tables. You can bring children into the bar area, which is unusual to see coming from Seattle. Lots of televisions. Lots of Broncos stuff. I ordered a turkey sandwich with tater tots. The turkey and swiss cheese were warm from the grill. It was on a jalepeno bread that was very very soft. The tater tots were just shy of overcooked. All in all it was decent.

We had lunch here yesterday and we really liked the food. The service was slow due to a person not showing up on that day. However, the remaining staff made lemonade out of lemons. It is great place to watch sports on TV or to just have beer with friends. You can also bring the family as the prices are not that bad. If you decide to come then you won't be disappointed.

Been coming here often for lunch beers and a few company happy hours. It's basic, but not "basic bitch" basic, rather, they got at least one of everything, and if you don't expect a lot from the kitchen, you will not be let down. Beers are freezing. Bar food is hot, but stick to what you know. The size of a mall, it's way more real than anything in the area. Although you may be looking at a wide open prairie outside (but it's developing quickly), there's a pretty diverse crowd. Mostly dudes, but I've been here at oddball times that have baffled me with lovely available ladies. And of course the bartenders and servers are 10s. Watched one handle a dirty old man today with poise and grace. Long live Rox.

The Sweet Chili Wings are to die for. Best in town. The deep fried chicken tenders are HUGE! And the T bone steak on Thursdays is unsurpassed by any steak house around. Great food for a sports bar. Service is real good. 49 flat screens to watch your favorite team. Karaoke on Thursdays & Fridays by Avery Kyle Entertaiment. He is the best KJ in denver. He puts on a great show. 9:30-1:30 You gotta come out and try this place!

Roxanne is AWFUL! She is the owner and will make you feel like you are not welcome. The drinks are great because she didn't make them. Come here for fun and games but avoid the owner. Roxanne puts the rocks in your socks. Cheers!

This was our first visit to On The Rox, and we were pleasantly surprised! There are tons of TVs to watch virtually every game playing. The place is clean, and the waitstaff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had a burger, sliders, a quesadilla, and the California chicken sandwich - it was standard bar fare, but for sports bar food it was pretty good. Our waitress was Cianna, and she did a fantastic job. Really, the whole staff was great.

Great place to watch sports and great food. Had an enjoyable time with my girlfriend. We will be make very soon for some Rockies, Broncos, and Buffs games

Came here for a work happy hour. Staff seemed friendly for our private party and there was a good selection of beers. I didn't have any, but the nachos seemed to be a hit with everyone else at the table. Good location, so I can easily see coming back.

This place is irritating. The food is great but the service is always slow. I was sitting at the bar ordering alcoholic drinks and asked for a coke, and got charged for it. Over $2 for a fountain drink when I am already ordering expensive alcoholic drinks is ridiculous. My queso that I ordered came out about 20 mins later barley warm in a tiny little bowl. I tried telling the bartender and it was obvious she could care less. Still got charged for it $7. Also ridiculous. Good food, bad service. Her name is Justine.

Best Tvs and best service in Parker. Good times and great conversations with bartenders and locals for a few out of towners on their last night in Colorado after a week on the slopes!

Don't order the Taco Salad. Soggy lettuce, skimpy on the chicken and the dressing is just salsa. Waitress was slow & rude...I was in a small group and kindly let her know I was in a hurry and asked for her to run my card (I had only ordered 1 item)...she refused to take my card and took about another 10 minutes before I was able to close out....we were 1 of 2 tables....place was empty.

My husband was getting surgery right across the parking lot so I decided to walk over to the restarant to grab lunch and kill time. It was right in the middle of lunch hour so I figured it would be crowded. I walked in and there was nobody in there... I found this odd because there is nothing really around but decided I'd try it anyways. I sat at a table and waited about 10 mins for anyone to greet me or give me a menu. The menu was dirty which kinda grossed me out but oh well. I ordered a water and the taco salad. I then asked if I could sit on the patio. My server brought me my water and salad and never came back again.... I was there for about an hour and had one glass of water and had to find my own salt and pepper... FINALLY I had to track down my server to get the tab. my bill was $12 which is kind of expensive for a salad but whatever. I was disappointed and probably wont go back.

Great service , nice and relaxed . Lots of TVs and if you want to see another game just ask. They have all the sports packages.. This is a great place to go have a drink and relax and watch your game.

  • Ron B.

I received an email from Roxanne O. offering me a $30 gift certificate (I give the generous offer 5 stars, but still leave the restaurant at a one). I just wanted to point out that this was a very generous gesture, but is quite unnecessary. I want nothing more for this place to succeed. In order to succeed, a better effort needs to be made regarding food quality, quantity, and pricing. Quality food will bring more people into the establishment who won't mind the higher prices. It is a simple formula.

Good fun fun place for Sunday football every game is on we go in for brunch/lunch watch some football and eat

  • Dale Z.

I think a lot of sports bars kind of suck. They throw some memorabilia on the walls, put the game on a few TV's, serve some beer and burgers and call it good. On the Rox is a Sports Bar done right. They have 38 flat screen Televisions.... Yes, 38 ... I do not think there is a bad seat in the house if you want to watch the game . They have an extensive selection of beers. They have excellent happy hour choices. And the food is definitely a cut above what you expect at a sports bar. Their signature burger was huge and delicious. I got mine with a side of tater tots ... piping hot, crunchy, and reminded me of my childhood . This is a very nice building, it used to be the Mosaic restaurant . Bartenders and servers were excellent .

    (4)
  • Curt V.

Great place to hangout and the bartenders and wait staff are awesome! They have Karaoke on the weekends and Sunday NFL tickets so show all the games! They definitely take care of their customers and would highly recommend if your looking for friendly faces!

  • Td H.

This is my neighborhood tavern, so I'm a regular. Good bartenders and servers. The food is actually pretty good for tavern food, but a little on the pricey side. I guess they're proud of it. ;)

  • Blake H.

Great place to watch a game. A+ setup with tons of tables, a giant bar in the middle, and flat screen TV's lining the outside walls. Love the setup. Beer was ice cold as well, which is unusual for draft beers. The food was disappointing despite great happy hour prices. We ordered the chicken nachos and sliders. Sliders were overcooked to the point of crispness and served with onion strings that were soggy. No redeeming qualities about that dish at all. The nachos were equally awful. Chips with melted Velveeta, diced tomatoes from a bag, sour cream, and store-bought guacamole. Could make a better option in my microwave at home. Also, we were charged $3.49 for chicken on the nachos (with totaled less than half of one chick breast) when the description of "nachos" on the menu includes either chicken or beef. Obviously misleading, this up charge was also not explained by our server. 3*'s for being a sports bar with a great setup and cold beer. Food was inedible, though.

Jalapeno Fries. I really don't need to say anything more, but get these, eat them, enjoy them, love them. The catfish is insanely huge and delicious too! This place has got me hooked and I'm only a few items into the menu. Love the bar, the t.v.s, the staff. I'm going back!!

  • Stephanie S.

My apartment is walking distance from this restaurant so my boyfriend and I thought it would be a good idea to walk over and have a quick dinner and some beers. I got a burger and he got some buffalo wings - they were horrible. It was bad. We were so disappointed. This is really one of the only restaurants within walking distance from my place so I was hoping it would be a place I could come to often. I think everything is probably frozen and I couldn't even finish my burger. There weren't any big games on when we were there so maybe it's more fun when a game is on but the ambiance was pretty boring.

    (1)
  • Erin H.

They have Guinness. And queso. Two of my favorite things. So, that makes me happy. And, both were done right. But, neither was a great deal, even during happy hour. But, to have a decent beer plus queso in the burbs is definitely a plus, especially when the company is good.

Great wings and service. . Happy hour 3-9 w/karaoke on Friday nights w/Avery Kyle ... nice little sports bar!

Just got a Chef Salad to go. I called the order in, was 5 minutes away and it was ready when I got there. Very fresh salad and TONS of meat!! Such a great place to go for food and drinks. The staff and owner are so awesome and friendly. They make you feel like it's your home away from home! Love this place!!

Updated the tv's with flat screens and updated some menu items which is great. Monica always takes care of our group and provides good service. Best sports bar in parker and reasonable prices.

    (4)
  • Guy P.

My actual rating is 2.5 stars, right in the middle. On The Rox is simply average - not bad, not good. One bright spot is their Monte Cristo sandwich. Unfortunately, there's just nothing about this place that makes it more than ordinary.

    (3)
  • Tiffany J.

Descent bar for this suburban side of town. Lots of TV's so it's a good place to watch a game. The service was good even though it was busy. Some of the food was a little bland but the Monte Cristo was absolutely delicious! Oh and $7 pitchers 3-9 daily isn't bad.

    (3)
  • Lee S.

Tons of TV's, friendly service and cold beer....so far, so good. The "Oh Haute Dam" flat bread was very good. Now, if only the proper Chalice for the Stella....5 star?

Went to On the Rox Saturday night and food was good, beers cold, but service was incredible. Server was Paige and she was as hot as she was fun. Will be going back you should too!

If you're driving down Lincoln Ave. and blink, you'll miss this establishment. In my case I wish I hadn't spotted it. I had a late lunch here with my husband. All I was looking for was something decent to eat. I think if I had come to intentionally watch sports and have a beer this would not be a bad option. However I was hungry and wasn't there for the ambience. I ordered a patty melt and my husband had the monte cristo. The food was either very oily or incredibly dry. My patty melt came out dripping with oil. But the rye bread was very, very dry. My husband also commented that the jam that was supposed to come with the monte cristo was actually jelly and was very dry, hard jelly at that. Dry and oily at the same time is not a great combination and one that I won't be back for.
