Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Ordered 2 appetizers, they looked and tasted like we were at a cafeteria. So disappointing.

I only got take out but the food was pretty decent. There was a goof up in the order, but after calling them -- they were very apologetic and resolved the issue. I'll give them another try.

We've been going here for 4 years and it has slowly gone done hill. Our last visit the food was bland and cold. It has been a hit-and-miss when it comes to the quality of food. But this visit will be our LAST. When we go to a restaurant, being welcomed by the owner is like being welcomed into their house. We had a reservation and when we arrived (the lobby was empty) the owner greeted us and proceeded to check the dining area for a place for us. When he returned other people arrived AFTER us which the owner knew. Guess what, he seated them FIRST!!! I should have left but my family was hungry and so was I. The servers have always been great but with a hit-and-miss food quality and a RUDE owner I will be telling the people that I had once recommended this place to to stay away!!!

I've been to Armando's 4 times now. 3 times with just adults and once with my 5 year old daughter. The food has been good every time. I particularly love their chicken parm which I usually don't like other places. The reason for the 3 stars was the service we received the time we took our daughter. The place was busy so service was slow to start with, but I think we would have understood that if it hadn't been for some comments from the waitress. First, my daughter ordered for herself and ordered a pasta dish - she asked what came with it (meaning sides) and the waitress responded "sweetie this aint McDonald's". Excuse me? My kiddo eats in sit down restaurants all the time, she didn't think it was McDonald's, but she's also 5 and doesn't realize that pasta doesn't come with a side dish there's no reason to be rude to her about that. I didn't say anything to the server about it, but service went downhill from there as we were essentially ignored and had to waive someone down to get our check when we were done. I'd always thought of Armando's as a family place, so I was really disappointed with that treatment - so strange.

First time eating here today and I really liked the food. It was good Italian and very reasonably priced. There were 4 in our group and everyone ordered something different and we all sampled the other person's lunch. Everything was really tasty! You would never expect the nice atmosphere inside from what you see on the outside. Good service, but they do hurry and get everything out quickly. Next time, I will let them know we aren't in a hurry so they can slow down and so can we.

Depending on when you visit, ranges from very good, to so-so Italian food. Good: reasonable prices, nice atmosphere, authentic food, Aramando and Antonio; feel like I am back in Chicago. Bad: inconsistent; go on a night when they are busy, and the bread could be hard, gone, etc. Servers in general are not good here. Great Happy Hour!!!

Finally some yummy italian food. Loved loved loved the chicken picata! Excited to go back.

I wasn't going to write a review, because I didn't think it was even worth my time. But thinking about it I figure people like me would like to know my thoughts. I went to Armandos with my family about a year ago, our pizza came out burnt to crap. The server got a manager for us, and he insisted it wasn't burnt. My family is not picky, when something is not that burnt well eat it, when something is black im not eating it. we didn't eat the pizza and we paid for it. Really how much waste is that going to cost you?? And what it would take less then 10 minutes to make a new one? Sham on me once. I then went in a couple months later, with a friend and got the penne alla vodka. It was not terrible, but 0 flavor and was super dry. But maybe that's their standards SO I did not complain. I hadn't been back. I saw that Armandos was hiring I thought that would be nice to work a second job and closer to home. Im a very experienced in the restaurant business not to mention Italian food. I got on here and read ALL of the terrible reviews, before applying. I thought people are crazy, especially YELPERS. So I filled out an app, turned it in. I called the restaurant 4 days later, and the hostess told me they weren't hiring and filled all positions. Ok perfect. I then saw again their hiring, literally weeks later. (and their reviews say they have the worst service) Which is probably why they have such a high turn over rate?? So I went back in and filled out another application, with a pretty helpful bartender named Lacey she was very sweet, good customer service. She told me id get a call soon from one of the managers. I received a call from Gregory to set up a interview. We set it up. I showed up about 20 minutes early with just the way I am. I waited and waited. The bartender called him and left a voicemail. Not to mention this bartender sat their and talked badly about Lacey the ONLY what seems to be respectful person who works at that place. So after sitting there for almost an hour listening to the bartender talk badly about every other girl who works their with another what seemed to be server who was clearly drinking after her shift... he texted her and told me to come back. WHAT A JOKE. Your a manager and from what ive read family to the restaurant, you don't even personally call, you have your bartender read your texts to me. Which she even said you "always" forget about interviews. Professional. Ha This place obviously does have a lot of issues, and the bad reviews are right on point. But I didn't mention Gregory thank you for calling me 5 days later after "my" mix up with what time you asked me to come in. Maybe someone eles needs to be running things, because ive never thought so badly about a place. Go ahead and head down town to SLICEWORKS, its the BEST Italian food, pizza, and customer service you will ever come across in Colorado. Not to mention the family who owns the place actually cares about all customers and employees. Next time you jerk around with someone applying you should be careful, because that person may also be someone who is experienced on the management side of things as well. Good luck to your restaurant but from the looks of it, and Reviews of it.. I bet you'll be empty like the 2 other restaurants right next to you. Maybe its for the best...

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! My mom just moved to a country club in Parker and we were starved from checking out the new house and everything! We adventured out to see what was in the area! I looked on yelp and saw a Italian restaurant! Got a great rating online! Got there and the place was PACKED! Couldn't believe it! We had "CINDY" as our waitress! She was AMAZING!! AMAZING!! Honestly she gave 100% better customer service that we had at lower 48 (Denver's 5 star restaurant of the year) she was amazing in every way! Food was incredible! The calamari was out of the world! In the states they burn or make it was to much batter! Here amazing!! Btw there was a Denver broncos player eating next to is too!! :) But more than ever CINDY CINDY CINDY was the reason we will always go bak here! Amazing customer service and welcomed us to the area! Wow! Amazing customer service! Specifically Ask to be served from CINDY!! She's incredible!!

My husband and I are big fans of Italian food, and decided to try somewhere local. We rarely escape the house without the children, so we were really looking forward to a night out. The wait was what we expected, about 30 minutes. The place smelled amazing, so we were excited. It took our server about 5 minutes to greet us, 15 minutes for drinks (non alcoholic), and our two appetizers came out 10 and 20 minutes later. I was getting very annoyed after another 25 minutes had passed. Our server stopped by and let us know our food would be out shortly. It arrived 15 minutes later. My husbands was great, but my eggplant and ravioli were cold. I do not send food back to the kitchen because I don't want it microwaved, so I ate a bit then boxed the rest. Our server came by again and let us know that she apologized but the kitchen had botched our order. She offered to comp desserts. While I appreciate the effort, we will take our business elsewhere in the future. I gave a two star rating because my husband enjoyed his meal and they did give us dessert. If anyone from Armando's reads this, please dust the decor near the kitchen. It's not sanitary to have dirt piling up. Please also note that mousse has two s' s, otherwise you have a chocolate mouse in your chocolate pyramid.

We love this place! Great menu, great ambiance, and amazing food! Say hi to Antonio, one of the owners. He's about as gracious and funny and Italian as they come! The Taste of Italy is a perfect choice if you're decisionally challenged like me and for a few extra dollars they'll even sub out one of the items for something else that strikes your fancy. My husband loves the eggplant parm (the best he's tasted). A refreshingly delicious, family-owned addition to a town dominated by chains.

My boyfriend's favorite food is Italian, and I wanted to take him somewhere nice for his birthday. This place came highly recommended by a good friend. It was really busy when we got there but we were seated right away. And then we waited. For almost half an hour before anyone came over to ask us what we wanted to drink. And then another half an hour before they took our order. We were there for over 2 hours and by the time the food came, we were pretty annoyed and very disappointed with the service. However, the food was really good! But because of the service, my boyfriend never will go back. I have only ordered from there 1 other time and planned to bring it home as a surprise and just not tell him where it was from, but when I got home I found that the order was messed up. Sad face.

Not as good as it used to be. Grew up in Parker when it was just a wide spot in the road. Moved back with my family in '89 and have been cravin' a decent sit-down restaurant in the area ever since. Armando's started out very good but has, over the last few years, gone downhill. Wait staff continues to be nice and attentive, but the menu has changed-pricier and portions are much smaller. Pizza's are still good, but you can buy pizza in Parker at a kazillion other places. Considerin' how Parker has grown and the amount of $$ in the area, you'd think there'd be a decent sit-down family place where Mom and Dad could enjoy a cocktail, peacefully, have their kids along too, and not the break the bank. Used to be here but not anymore.

Great service and food! Happy hour is awesome!
(5)Marco D.
Amazing environment and even better food. The gnocchi is phenomenal and the owner is such a nice man.
(5)Mary S.
My fiance and I haven't have the best luck with quality restaurants in Parker, but this place was amazing. Service was attentive and helpful. The food was fresh and delicious. I do agree with other reviews about the cost, but that's what you pay for when you have quality. Will be back!
(4)Dale Z.
I hit Armando's for happy hour last week and was very pleasantly surprised. The appetizers were 1/2 price (good, but not great chicken wings were what we had), and the draft beer was only $1.75 a pint. True, the selection is limited, but if I can drink Stella Artois for less than $2, I am happy. The stools and tables in the bar area are very much crammed together. Also, there were some small kids (not belonging to the customers I think) running around. I have not been back here since having mediocre Italian food on my last visit. And, although I think their prices are too high for what you get, I would be willing to try them again some time.
(3)Tracey S.
Loved everything about this place! The food and service was great ! I highly recommend this restaurant! I will be back again and again!
(5)Matt M.
This place has amazing pizza. My family and I love ordering pizza, pasta and salads here. It definitely has good food and a quick delivery service.

If you want EXCELLENT SERVICE and AMAZING FOOD in Parker, CO, this is your place. From the minute you walk in you're greeted with smiling faces and great atmosphere. The wait staff is incredible- not just for their service and knowledge of food but the personal interaction as well. And the sauce is to die for!!

Aside from the fantastic food, this place was jumpin. Not surprising that a stellar happy hour ($1.50 Coors Light for example) and yummy pizza is the perfect combination to lure us all out of our homes in the burbs. On a Wednesday no less. Take note suburban restaurants, this is how it's done. This place is like Cheers, everyone is a regular and the staff hands out hugs with the menus. I told my husband before we ordered that I hoped the food was good because I really wanted to come back! Our app was fried eggplant covered in mozzarella, basil, and marinara (they have a vegetarian sauce- yay!). It was yummy and (I think) only $4 as a happy hour special. We then split the large Mediterranean salad which had a creamy, flavorful dressing. All of the ingredients were fresh and ripe, the lettuce was crispy and good, no wilted leaves here. Our waiter said that the Spinach Pizza was his favorite so why not?? It's a stuffed pizza with their perfect crust encasing sauteed spinach, garlic, olives, and lots of mozzarella. Seriously amazing. We'll be back. Sooner than later I'm sure. This place has been around forever for a reason,
(5)Cheryl L.
I haven't been in a long time but when I did go I ordered Chicken Picatta and it tasted like metal. I was going to box it up to take it up and then changed my mind. Not sure if someone used a metal bowl to mix up the items and this reacted with the lemon juice. I would be willing to give it a try to see if has changed but every time I think about going back I get that metal taste in my mouth and we end up going someplace else.
(2)Karen L.
The food is fabulous. The wine is fabulous. The staff is fabulous. I keep seeing reviews about their pizza and that "it's not up to par". It's not a pizzeria! Try their menu! It's authentic Italian food and it's superb! I've never tasted anything anywhere else that compares. I would never choose Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill over Armando's. I just moved here a month ago and my husband and I just made our 5th visit. It's not a chain restaurant which is a very different atmosphere than what most people are accustomed to, so I think that explains any lower rating than a 4. I prefer family owned over chain because of the atmosphere and they treat you like a somebody (I've never had direct contact with the owners but the staff is fantastic! We already have 2 people that we hope to be seated at their tables). Every dish I've had (a different one each time) is absolutely divine and Armando sang the time before last which completely set the atmosphere. This Ristorante has become number one for us. It's a fantastic dining experience and the food is so delicious that I over stuff every time!
(5)Scott L.
Great family run Italian place! There is nothing bad on the menu. Service is great, wine list is good, and the specials are always delicious. I'm particularly a fan of the daily risotto dishes and the seafood cannelloni. Portions are large to huge and inevitably we are bringing some home. Staff is great, particularly Tony, Anthony and Gregory. We're very much regulars here.
(5)Chris A.
Yum yum yum, have been coming to this place since the old location next to Smoky Hill high school! Nothing incredible, but their pizza is pretty bomb!! Have been getting this pizza with artichokes, olives, and other veggies for a long time. Always good!
(4)Katie R.
A= Awesome lunch specials! Everything on the lunch menu is under $10, which is not only surprising but even better! R= Radtastic garlic knots! Instead of the usual bread with oil, the servers promptly brought over two baskets overflowing with knots, with complimentary marinara sauce on the side. Although I used the oil and vinegar, it was the bomb.com . M= Muscles galore! A ton of the menu offered seafood and muscles...yum! A= A+ wait staff. Despite our fairly large party, the server and hostess was extremely helpful [suggesting dishes to order!], prompt, friendly and did a great job to ensure our experience was great. He checked back in frequently, but not too many times to be annoying. :) N= Nice & pleasant atmosphere! The walls adorned cute Italian paintings on their bright deep hues, bottles of wine were neatly put in their racks and everything just seemed put together, and very nice. D= Destined perfect for a casual celebratory lunch, or even a special date night. O= Outstanding all around! wow :) What a cute little place in Parker! Armando's not only made the graduation celebration special, but made the best food! :)
(5)Kristin W.
This is my favorite italian place. Good atmosphere and the chicken parm is to die for. Pretty much everything I have tried is good. I would recommend
(5)Raemi V.
Amazing food. Always great service. Authentic Italian owners. Wish they delivered.
(5)Alex K.
Delicious Italian food that tastes like its made from scratch - so I expect it is. The prices are a bit high, but its Colorado.
(4)Lee S.
This review is for Happy Hour only. I ate dinner here a couple of years ago and it was awful. It would have been one star at best. I came back for Happy Hour a few months ago and the prices are great, service is great, food specials are great...I'll be back. Now, maybe I'll try dinner...if I'm feeling brave.
(4)John W.
Fun place for Italian in Parker. They always have a great special and the food has always been good. My favorite part is that the owner always seems to be in the house, having fun and occasionally serenading the customers. Fun stuff.
(4)Celeste S.
This place is IT. I get excited about this place. I have been twice and have LOVED it. Everything is homemade and just so tasty. The cook sings opera as he's making your meal and you can hear him no matter where you sit. To some that might be annoying, to me it creates such awesome environment. The owner is usually there greeting everyone as they come in, and greeting everyone on their way out. He even gives all the ladies kisses on the cheek! I'm not one for strangers invading my bubble, but I love that! The service is stupendous... The waiter's are very on top of everything and just so friendly. Half the time, I wish we could invite them to eat dinner with us! The pricing is about the same as your average Olive Garden, so it's not too bad. In fact, they put out coupons in the Parker Community Magazine once in a while and they are great! Now, about the food... WOW! I could write about every detail about the food, but all you have to know is that the garlic rolls are DELISH, the pastas are EXQUISITE, the wines are GREAT (the house red- a Chianti, I believe- yum!), and the desserts are AMAZING (especially that tiramisu). Family owned and family oriented... YES! GO, people, GO!
(5)Cass D.
Best traditional lasagna I've ever eaten. I've never had ricotta like this! The most annoying part of my visit was other patrons, talking so loudly that I could not hear them calling names. My husband ordered a pizza, and had we shared his pesto pizza, I'm sure I would not be entirely so enthusiastic about my liking of this place. The garlic knots were decent. The service wasn't bad despite the fact that they were ridiculously busy. Someone mentioned in another review that they won't seat incomplete parties. I don't think I would be so turned off about that; it's a smart move from my perspective. Why keep your ready to pay guests waiting on other guests? Putting disrespectful guests in their place IMO is the owner's job. Not to mention, isn't it rude to order and eat before everyone in your party arrives? In any case, watching the owner and the chef yell across the restaurant at a bus boy is not only entertaining, it adds to the charm of the place. The dessert that I saw several other tables order while I was there made me want to come back again and just order dessert sometime. My next trip will be on a weekDAY and hopefully there will be less obnoxious customers. I don't know that either of us would order pizza here again... but you know, everyone is different when it comes to pizza. That's why there are so many styles!
(5)Tasha H.
Horrible! Horrible! And one more time - HORRIBLE! First impression - it STINKS! Like wet carper maybe?! Yuk!! Second impression - there are flies and bugs over there! And they just don't let you enjoy your food! Literally!!! Yuk! Third impression - NOT professional staff! I accidentally spilled my juice, and our waiter didn't even bother to ask if I would like another one... Last but not least, food.... I guess it was a little too fast of me to say "enjoy your food", when I was talking about flies... I ordered pasta and meatball and my husband ordered pasta and sausage. Pasta was ok, but they brought HUGE meatball on a different plate and... can you guess?! it was barely warm inside. Same for my husband's sausage... It looked like they just threw it in a microwave for 2 minutes and it didn't warm up all the way through... Yuk!!! All experience was disgusting and unpleasant!!! Will never go there again! Will never recommend it to anyone! Yuk yuk yuk!!!
(1)Chuck C.
We've eaten here several times. Food is exceptional and service is always great starting with the way you're met at the door upon walking in the restaurant. Most recently I stopped by with my kids to pick up a pizza to go. We waited in the bar area and my kids enjoyed HUGE shirley temples while the pizza was prepared. As far as pizza goes, they absolutely don't skimp on the toppings and with the coupon special available on the website, it's a deal not worth missing. We'll be back!
(5)T L.
What I'd really like to do is go and just order the garlic knots and marinara dipping sauce. They're so good and not too garlicky that you cannot return to the office after lunch! It is complimentary and you can always ask for more with your meal. The dining area is nice and the servers are all attentive. We never had to ask for drink refills; they kept a good eye on us. I was here on a Thursday and ordered the gnocchi pasta lunch special for $6.95, I think. I didn't enjoy it too much. It seemed to have a lot more than the "touch of creme" that was described on the menu. The smell of basil was also a bit strong for me. I'd return to try something else though!
(3)Barbi P.
If I could give this a 3 1/2 star I would. I like the place, it is warm and cozy and full of life and the food is good I just can't get that into traditional Italian food. I blame growing up with a off the boat Italian grand mother who it would seem tried to kill us all with 7 course Italian meals for every occasion. If I never tasted marinara sauce again I would be happy. Armandos is a great traditional Italian place. They sing while they cook, the decorations are traditional but updated. The place is always busy and it is for good reason. We originally went here because a friend had read some reviews that mentioned the staff getting in loud arguments with customers and we were more than happy to see a show but alas there was no fighting. We told our waiter we were expecting a show so he took the time to yell at us. He was a great waiter with a good sense of humor something I appreciate.
(3)Josh L.
I took the family here for dinner yesterday evening. First, I have to say that the food is excellent. I had the veal with prosciutto wrapped shrimp. The desserts were great as well - I really enjoyed the Tiramisu. Our server was attentive, but they all seemed a bit 'rushed' for some reason. The table clearing was a bit quick; we'd barely put our forks down and someone was pulling dishes from the table. Are they short on dishes or something? When we first ordered, I asked for an Antipasto appetizer, a bottle of wine, and the delicious garlic bread. The antipasto never came, as it seemed the waiter forgot about it. I never asked again, but this reinforces the rushed wait staff. If the service was a little less rushed, and I received everything I ordered, I would have given 5 stars. The food was very good.
(4)Tammy B.
Good food. Sometimes the wait staff isn't fantastic. We have lots of issues when we order to go. Love the owners though.
(3)Urg G.
Went there on Valentine's day. It was a busy night and had to wait for over 30 min even after we made a reservation. Nevertheless we loved the place and service. The food was excellent and we loved everything we ordered. Mussels, bruschetta for appetizers, Lamb shank and gnocchi for entree. They had many vegetarian options (I don't mean just pasta in marinara sauce or white sauce and eggplant parmesan which are the most over used entrees in Italian restaurants for vegetarians) that I wanted to try. Maybe next time. Service was wonderful, so was the ambience. Our waiter was extremely patient and wonderful. They were definitely expensive , but not overpriced.
(4)Ashley W.
Delizioso!!! This is my restaurant of choice for birthday dinners, out of town guests or carb loading before 1/2 marathons. It doesn't get more authentic then this, from the wine list to the Italian owner greeting your table, you might forget you're in Parker, CO. The cozy atmosphere is complete with a glowing fire place on chilly nights. You will never go back to Maggino's again.
(5)Angry B.
Italian is easy. No, wait, apparently not. My calamari was overcooked, my chicken parmesan was horribly dry, Alfredo sauce separated into grease & flour, and the server mixed up orders. This is overpriced and not good. With Il Fornaio, Maggiano's, and even better choices downtown, the only reason that this place is in business is that suburban white people are dumb.
(2)Matt R.
My wife's been on an Italian kick recently, so we've been trying different Italian places. Armando's is nearby, so we stopped in for dinner. Everything we had was pretty terrible. I see so many positive reviews, I feel like we missed out... but I'm not going to take the chance of having another awful experience to see if other entrées were better. The service was poor (we were in the back corner so I suppose it could be easy to forget us). It took 30 minutes to get our check after the waitress had picked up our dishes, and another 15 to come back with the receipt. It's pretty nice in there - cozy and relaxed - definitely well taken care of despite the outside looking very old and sparse. But when we were there at about 7pm, it was LOUD. We had to really speak up to hear each other across the small two-person table. The food was the worst part by far. My veil dish was cold, the meat was very tough, in large pieces and flavorless, the artichokes weren't trimmed down enough and so had those tough 'outer pieces' still on them. I was expecting the buttery sauce, but it seemed like it was only butter and oil mixed together, and being cold it was disgusting. My wife's dish was the gnocchi w/ meatball, she described it as bland. I've never given a 1-star review before, but I've never been to a place that so truly deserved it. Sorry, Armando's.

Try the Lobster ravioli! Chunks and chunks of lobster, so good! Love the owners, they make us feel like family every time.
(5)Sheila F.
How could I say anything bad about an Italian restaurant that is owned by Italian brothers, one of whom will most likely greet you with a kiss when you walk through the door! Now I will be honest, I have had better Italian food, but never have I felt more welcome, more comfortable, or more appreciated as a patron. The rolls are baked fresh, the salad is always crisp (I love the raspberry vinaigrette), and the Meatballs are Fabulous!! While they will happily make any adjustments to any menu item for me the Quattro Formagi (sorry about the spelling, I am of German decent) is my favorite dish, and I always request, you guessed it, a meatball on the side! When you go expect that Antonio will great you with his authentic Italian charm and if you are lucky you will her Armando singing opera in the kitchen. Now really, what more could you ask for?
(5)Alysse R.
What is not to love about this family owned and operated business!?! Delicious food and great atmosphere.
(5)Chris M.
I'm giving this a 3 because the first time I went there with no reservations on Mother's Day and the food was fabulous, service, atmosphere, wait staff, owner stopped by, chef singing opera from the kitchen... my husband and I loved it... then last week, we ordered pizza to go and some pesto focaccia. The pizza was the worst pizza I've ever had.. seriously! Pizza Hut is preferable.. the crust was soggy, way too many toppings, no cheese or sauce to speak of.. it was just awful. The pesto bread was unassembled... so that was weird.. got the bread.. a thing of pesto, tomatoes, fresh basil, I dunno.. It tasted ok with me making it myself, but for $7 bucks, it was disappointing. I'll go a third time to see if I can break the tie.

This is our favorite Italian place! Great food! Great service!
(4)Cassandra K.
I have to update my review of this restaurant because it's somehow slid downhill since it first opened. My hubby and I went to eat on 'date night'. The first time we had been out in a long time due to health issues I had been having. So when he asked me where I wanted to go, I said Armando's. Boy did I regret that after leaving. It took about 20 minutes before anyone took our drink order and then we waited too long for our food order to be taken. I ordered the waiter recommended Lobster Ravioli. I LOVE good lobster ravioli, like Maggiano's has! This was NOT it. My hubby ordered the Lasagna and it was good. Should have gotten it myself. My plate came and the sauce literally was drowning in orange oil! It looked disgusting. The sauce was all separated and looked like oil and curdled milk. However, I didn't want to be a complainer and tried my nasty looking food anyway. Big mistake. It was AWFUL. I waited, and waited, and waited for a waiter to come around so I could send it back. Finally, I flagged down some other guy that resembled our waiter, but wasn't. He was so nice and took one look at my plate and agreed that it wasn't right at all. I waited 15 minutes for another, fresh plate to be brought out. In the meantime, I ate bread and a little of my hubby's food, which he wasn't wanting to share. :-) The second plate came and believe it or not, they brought me the SAME ravioli, only with a new sauce on them!! How do I know? I had taken a bite out of one and left it on the plate. The same ravioli appeared on this new plate. 1st of all, that's not OK at any restaurant and is against the law for restaurants to do. 2nd of all, all the ravioli had soaked up the orange grease from the 1st plate and now was hiding underneath a fresh batch of sauce! If I had felt better, I would have demanded the manager and let him know what his staff were doing, but I just wanted out of there. Again, we had to flag someone down to get our check and wait, wait, wait. Our waiter asked how the second one was and since the plate was still full of food, you would think that would have given him a clue. Nope. I told him it was still awful because the cook's recycled the same, greasy ravioli onto this plate. I thought he might credit me a $15.00 meal I didn't eat, but NOPE. Our bill was like $80.00 and the food sucked. I hate when that happens. I left there with having eaten a salad, some bread rolls and a bit of lasagna. Very disappointing and we won't be returning. I left the waiter a tip.....a little advice written on the ticket.....that next time a customer has such a terrible dish, get the manager and get it rectified. Don't allow a recycled dish to be served and then paid for by a customer, especially when it's not eaten at all. No money left to him.....he hardly waited on us. I would have loved to tip the other waiter from the table behind us, that actually did help us.

The homemade Italian food is some of the best I've had. The owners have a great attitude and sense of humor which translates to a fun atmosphere where employees and customers are respected.
(5)Rebecca S.
Food was good, server was good and attentive but we did hit the between meal lul of 3pm so can't comment on how it is when they are busy. Only complaint was that they charged for every little thing, someone in our party asked for some more dressing for her salad and they charged $1 for a bit more dressing. Overall we were happy and will go back.

Went here for dinner one night with my boyfriend's family. I had the Veal Parmesan, which was a huge portion and I thought pretty tasty. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. But the most memorable thing about Armando's was the garlic rolls, that are served with marinara dipping sauce. I could easily sit with a basket of those and no entree and be perfectly happy. The service, however, was very slow. Plenty of servers stopping to chat with loyal customers, but not quite so eager to refill a first-timer's water glass. Also, the prices were high in my opinion, but that would not deter me from returning.

This place is fantastic. The food is superb and the atmosphere is great. If you want some really good Italian food in the Parker area, this is THE place to go!
(5)Eric D.
nice menu selection and a great atmosphere for a restaurant in parker. The food is always solid and the pizzas are very nice. Nice option for italian food in parker.
(4)John M.
Nice italian menu and family run. I avoided this place as the outside seems a bit "chain restaurant" looking but the inside is homey. We had a nice caprese salad and a veggie pie which they forgot the tomato sauce on however the waiter offered to remake it. We asked just to get some on the side. I'll be back here for another round.
(3)Jake S.
This place is amazing! The owner walks around the dining room making sure everything is perfect. The garlic knots are too delicious. I could eat them every day. I have quit looking at the menu because whatever is on special is usually the most amazing thing I've ever eaten. 6 stars!!!!
(5)Mary G.
I visited this fine establishment last night with my husband. He had rigatoni quattro formation which he said was excellent. I had the penne ala vodka which was okay. I should have gotten the pizza or spaghetti. It is very loud in there and the service was not good
(3)Junaida J.
Love this place - food was excellent, atmosphere was warm & friendly, yet elegantly decorated - kind of like visiting your rich uncle's place for lunch. Their house red was very good and their complimentary garlic knots were awesome - i could eat it all day. Very kid-friendly and once you've been to Armando's and tasted how real homestyle italian taste like (it's co-owned by 2 brothers and most who work there are family), you wont bother with chain italian restaurants like Olive garden. Not of the same calibre as Brio's or Margianno's - but for the family-friendly price, Armando's is a good place to treat 20 of your closest relatives, enjoy good food and still have some change in your pocket!

This place really is awesome. I hope it doesn't close like most other Parker businesses are doing. The decor is a little cheap. That's a knock. However, the food is wonderful. I had the veal Parmesan, and my girlfriend had a fettuccine alfredo. They were both fantastic. Our server was one of the best servers I've ever had, and the whole staff was friendly. The food is filling, and it's not as cheap as Olive Garden, but you're getting fantastic food. Next time, I want to try the pizza.
(5)Mira S.
Love Italian food but this one is really on low side. There aren't really good Italian places around here in Parker. There are few good ones in downtown's Highlands area. But even for SE Denver area it wouldn't be considered to be good. I make way better lasagna following recipe off Safeway Lasagna Pasta box, not some sloppy dish as they serve here and charge $12. And, the spaghetti meatballs dish was probably worth $3.00 the most, not $11 they are charging here. Plain cheap spaghetti noodles (not homemade pasta) and small tasteless meatballs. I happened to have the same meatballs but in a sandwich during lunch. Shocked they were charging $9 for a small sandwich that had just 2 meatballs sitting in days-old bread. If you want to try laid-back Italian restaurant, try Romano's (the original restaurant been in business for 35+ years in Littleton; the second location is now open at C-470 & Broadway) or Pasta Jays (Park Meadows, Lone Tree) for food. If you want the chic environment and decent food, go to Brio's and Maggiano's. Armando's has none of it.

This is the best Italian food in Parker, hands down.
(4)B B.
We have really enjoyed dinner at Armando's. Nice atmosphere, good food and a fun owner. Gets busy on weekends and can be a bit noisy. Overall a fan
(4)Valerie A.
I love there food. Pizza, garlic knots, salads...I love it all. I normally go for lunch so it is not too packed in there like it seems to be for dinner....which is a good thing. This is one of my favorite pizza to eat in Parker.

Wow. Worst service ever is an UNDERSTATMENT. SO DISSAPOINTED. Went there last night for date night with friends. Food was o.k. Not like the first time we ate there. Our server was so bad, we sat for over an hour waiting for our entree, with dirty salad plates and empty glasses. My husband finally got up and bussed our table. Will not go back!!!!!!!!!! Not sure if it'll make a difference but I will write a letter to manager.

We had dinner on Wednesday evening April 25th. We have eaten there before and had a good dinner. However, last night was horrible. It started as we walked to our table. The area where the restrooms were was an open corridor as you walk into the restaurant. The area where the restrooms were was a mess and open for all customer to see. Linens and aprons were exposed to all customers and it was very unsitely. I would think the manager would be sure that this area was clean and neat or closed off so no customer could view it. Then we sat down in a booth. We received our menus on a timely basis. My friend had asked the waiter (who was very short with us and seems that he should be doing something else) about the 3 course dinner for $29.00. He came back and handed us new menus. She told him that her coupon had expired but it's the same coupon each month in one of the local magazines. He informed us that he cannot offer the special because "the computer won't recognize the expiration date". We told him that there was no bar code on the coupon, but he insisted he cannot offer the special. He didn't even attempt to try to please us in any way. Our friend as about the Spinach Ravoli and wanted another sauce not Alfredo, he told her he can off a different sauce but would have to charge her for it. I inquired about a basic marinara sauce, he told me that was free. However, he didn't even tell her that. Our friend order a glass of white wine, the waiter came back to the table to tell him they were out of that wine, but offered another white wine. Our friend asked if it was the same price, he said "no". He asked how much more was it, the waiter responded with $1.00. He asked di I have to pay the extra since it's not my fault you are out of the other wine. The waiter said he would have to check with the manager and came back to say he would not charge, but it's not their practice to do that in the future. I also noticed that the wonderful tomato sauce that Armando is so famous for was very dark red in color. Normally it's bright red which I believe indicates overcooking. I tasted the sauce and it didn't taste the way it used to. I was very disappointed in their sauce. Overall, we are were very unhappy with the restaurant, the service and the food. Unfortunately, we won't be back there anytime soon.

Food was not good at all and the waiter stole extra tips from us. I had Veal that was tough, my wife had a pasta dish with seafood that was greasy. Big surprise when we compared our receipt to our credit card and the waiter added $5 to what we gave him on the tip. Much better Italian food around parker and South Denver.

Worst.Service.Ever.. My wife and I ate there today, mothers day, at 420pm. I called up to see if we would need a reservation, the gentleman said no. We got there was seated right away at a nice two top. Our server said that she was the niece of the maitre d and he was one of the owners. She was completely terrible.. The wine list is really small and no good values. We just stuck with water with lemon. I ordered the calamari for one, got the platter for two. And for the love of god, I dont know why there was fried zuchinni in my calamari. Has anyone else had that before? It shows that they dont skim the oil after using it to fry other items. Pure laziness.. Wife ordered the mediterranian salad with chicken and it was a big pile of blah. I ordered the eggplant parmasean done two ways. That was actually quite tasty. It came with a side order of pasta with watered down red sauce. Inedible. My Calamari was pretty good, but waaaay to much breading on it. And again, zucchini. ugh. When we got the bill, I asked about being charged for a two person platter of calamari, She was going to fix that, and then I asked her about the zuchini and she said that it comes that way. I asked her about why we didnt get any bread with our meal, and her response, which blew me away, was that you need to ask for it. Wow.. Ive never been there, so I didnt know the rules. Its like the secret menu at IN n Out.. If you dont ask, you dont get. When our food was dropped, I mean that literally, by the expo, no mention of fresh cracked black pepper, which there were four in my view nor any offer of grated cheese for our dishes. And of course, no server to check up on us.. I caught the managers eye and asked for pepper and cheese and he brought it to our table and left. No attempt to see how anything else was, did we need anything. He just dropped it and left. He was more concerned of kissing the friendlys on the cheek by the door. I have been in the hospitality business for my entire life. I grew up in it. My father is a professer in Arizona in the hospitality department. I have worked fine dining, country clubs, hotels, and fast food joints. I know my stuff, and believe me when I say.. STAY AWAY.. This place is not worth the time or effort of spending our hard earned dollars. They have no concept of service. We got our dinners when we were not even half way through our appetizer. And then no check back. Its the industry standard of two bite-two minute check back on all tables.; When we got there, it was not busy, so that shouldnt have been a problem, and if the server was to busy, thats when you get a server who isnt or your uncle whos schoomzing at the door vs going through his restaurant making sure that everyone is doing alright. Next time, Ill cook my own. Like I usually do.

I had the homemade spaghetti, which was just ok. Two people in our party had seafood cannelloni, which neither person especially liked. The tilapia with clams, which my father-in-law had, was excellent. The complimentary garlic knots were some people's favorite part of the meal. It was a little pricey for what it was.

I'll admit the only other italian restaurant in the metro I have been to is Brio in Lone Tree. However, I love this restaurant. My husband and I went with another couple and were seated very quickly. All of our drink and food orders were taken promptly. We were given bread to eat , while we waited and then those who ordered salads received them shortly thereafter. Our food took a lit bit, but it was worth it. My gnocchi was obviously hand made. It was very flavorful and came with a choice of sausage, or meatballs I ordered the sausage. It was a good portion size and with the bread filled me up. I could not finish it. All of us enjoyed our food and there were no complaints amongst the table about it's taste. The waitress checked on us frequently and was very polite. While we were there we even learned a little about the restaurant and the family who ran it. Very enjoyable experience. We will definitely return.

I was at this restaurant with Nicole. I have to say she summed it up pretty well. Pretty much everything was a little sub par. My salad was good but other than that, I have had better. Much much better. They weren't that busy and our service was really lacking. We had already started eating and had to ASK if our meals came with bread. We probably should have been snacking on that with the salads and that would have helped to keep the kids happy. Also, I feel that for lunch it was a bit pricey. It is after all, only pasta. They have no kids meals on their lunch menu and the only kids meals on the menu were $8.50! I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old, even if they share I will not spend that for a meal that will mostly go to waste. Oh well, it was ok I had enough to share with them. Also I added shrimp to my pasta for $3.00, for that I got 4 shrimp that were over cooked. That's kind of sad. The garlic knots were great! (once we got them) They were the highlight of the meal. Overall it was disappointing. Not horrible but certainly nothing to write home about.

My friend, her two kids, and I ate at Armando's for lunch on a weekday. I have to say neither of us was impressed. In fact, I found it boring. Vegetarians and vegans make note that nothing is labelled as veggie or vegan. Now I know what dishes are usually vegetarian but knew to ask to be sure as many places use meat based broths etc. Their red sauce is meat based - even the dipping sauce that comes with the bread is meat based. They were kind enough to prepare my eggplant and pasta with a veggie sauce upon request. I added on a salad with Italian dressing, it was eh. My eggplant parm looked so good but it tasted only ok just boring. The cheese didn't taste very high quality either. The service was ok, we had to ask for the bread that comes with the meal. Actually the bread was probably the best part of the meal. The decor was kind of boring. Armando's was boring luckily my dining partners were not!
(3)Bill E.
Armando's is a first class authentic Italian restaurant. I love the Gnocchi. This is a reasonably priced restaurant with extraordinary food, friendly staff and on site independent owners. We took an exchange student from Italy to this establishment and she was amazed at the 'true' Italian food, also she was able to speak Italian to the owner.
(5)Matthew M.
A little on the pricey side for a casual dinner out, but if you're looking for a special night out than this is the place to go. Service is great. Ambiance feels like Italy. Food is some of the best out there. I don't go often, but when I do it is a real treat.
(4)Laura C.
Well, that was disappointing. What a bummer - we went here this evening based on the reviews and while parts of if were good/ok, overall it was disappointing and feels like $100 down the drain. We are really puzzled by the 4 and 5 star reviews?! As for what was good - the mixed drinks, garlic knots, and antipasta were fine. As for what wasn't so good and why we won't go back... my chicken piccata was so buttery and oily that I could only eat a few bites. My husbands lobster and shrimp fettucine dish (I don't remember the name) was just "meh" as the shrimp was very overcooked and rubbery. If our waitress (who was really sweet and trying) or the owner had asked how things were once we got our meal, we'd have spoken up but they never asked... (our waitress got busy and probably forgot and the owner said good night from the parking lot while he was on a cell call when we were on our way out, but that was it.) As a matter of fact, we were trying to talk ourselves into taking and eating the leftovers so they wouldn't be just a waste, but decided to leave the containers behind on the table. Sorry Armando's, we really hoped we'd love your little place - we love Italian and are always hoping for a quaint family-owned restaurant that will remind us of our travels through Italy but this definitely wasn't it. A $102 lesson learned. :(
(2)Dian D.
We ordered the fruiti di mare and the veal parmigana and shrimp romano plates. Sorry to say but it was BLAH. No flavor. The best flavor was the red dipping sauce for the garlic knots. Service was ok. Not great but ok. Get the red sauce because the white sauce was broth - not saucy at all. Even salt and pepper couldn't help it.
(3)Madison A.
I worked here for a short time, which makes me a little more biased in my review. My coworkers would sometimes handle the cannolis without gloves-ew. I stay away from the deserts as they are probably prepared by a teenager. Anyways, I love the food. It was way better when I worked there (almost 6 months ago), but still. For my boyfriend and I's 10 month anniversary, we ordered 2 Penne Al Vodkas and a Chicken Parm, with 8 garlic knots to go. My uncle told us to pick him up some food as well while we were there, so that's why we bought 3 entrees. We stopped at King Soupers to pick up some cider before picking it up. It was snowing pretty bad outside, so it wasn't too busy inside. We picked up our food and made it home. Even after a good 15 minutes, the food was still very hot. The food containers keep them warm for the drive home. The sauce wasn't as good as I remembered, but it was still excellent. I love the garlic knots. My boyfriend and I could barley eat half of our food- HUGE PORTIONS. Even better as left-overs! It was a very good night. We eat here very rarely because of the price. Overall- Armando's is a great place to try.
(4)Deb S.
My husband and I love to eat here. We usually get a small pizza - one is enough for the both of us! The house wine is delicious and the service is great. This place reminds me of the family-owned restaurants my parent used to take me to when I was growing up. Give it a try!
(5)Tru P.
Lovely place! The food was delish and the service was quite nice. I enjoyed my meal and there was more than enough for two ... so it was nice to have lunch the next day. I heard that the owner sings quite the song, but I wasn't lucky enough.
(4)Thomas G.
First time here was late on a Thursday night. The inside of the restaurant is very homey and well put together. The staff aside from the owner were friendly and nice. The owner and his family sat at a table shouting at each other in Italian. Some may find this to be cute and authentic I found it loud and obnoxious. It ruined the first half of our dining experience. The food: we ordered the stuffed mushrooms to start. They were unremarkable to say the least. The mushrooms were greasy and slimy. They had a half lobster special that sounded great. I ordered it and was extremely disappointed. The lobster was stuffed with "crab". Which to me tasted about like what wet cat food would probably taste like. The pasta served with it tasted like something from a can. The best part of the whole thing was the steamed broccoli which is hard to mess up. The rest of my table said their meals were ok but nothing better than an average Olive Garden meal.
(2)Lisa G.
I went here recently with some friends. The atmosphere is very nice, a traditional Italian restaurant vibe. Service was friendly and efficient. I was unfortunately underwhelmed with the food. I ordered the garlic knots and the lobster ravioli. It was not a dish I would order again. The knots were greasy and heavy on the garlic, the raviolis were "fishy" and luke warm on arrival. The sauce also left much to be desired. I can't say I would go back.
(3)Karen M.
On a whim we decided to stop here for lunch. All we ordered was soup and salad! Our soup came out cold; even the second time mine was still cold. This seems so basic to me - unless it's gazpacho, I want hot soup to be hot. Pepsi tasted off, like no carbonation and the Mediterranean salad I ordered was just a Caesar with a few kalamata olives tossed on top. Not the caliber of place I would re-visit.
(2)Katie B.
I love Armando's. The meatballs are fantastic and the four cheese pasta is killer. My husband loves the shells florentine and the chicken parmigiana is great too. Every time we have an out of town guest we take them here and every single one of them has agreed that Armando's is awesome. The atmosphere is perfect for a date, a family dinner, and is even very kid-friendly. The service has always been very friendly and professional.
(5)Ryan W.
Great place if you enjoy below average Italian food. Wish I could write a better review but I can't.
(3)Laura W.
We had dinner here and were very unimpressed. Our server was totally over worked having at least 8 tables to take care of himself. The prices are WAY to high for what you get. The marinara sauce is not that great and the garlic knots we received before our meal were cold and looked as though the had been sitting out for a long time. We will stick to Olive Garden from now on, which is sad because we really wanted to give our local Italian restaurant our business. :(
(2)Brittany K.
Great food and amazing service! Owner was even working while we were there greeting and seating guests. I had the Penne Alla Vodka and it was delicious. My husband had them make an off menu item which was amazing they accommodated his request. A true Italian place! Great family owned restaurant would recommend to anyone.
(4)L H.
Nope. Waited forever for a table. Witnessed the owner being rude to employees and my food was cold and had to be microwaved at home. Seriously...take your business elsewhere.
(1)John S.
Service was slow to get to our table, but the family atmosphere made up for it. There was a very limited draft beer selection. An Italian restaurant with Bud Light, but no Peroni? App sampler varied, and the kids enjoyed it. After having trouble ordering the Bogheri we settled on a 2008 Gabbiano Chianti Classico fml. Garlic rolls were fabulous, and the pizza was good. Be sure to try the onion strings. In short, good place for families with small children and patience.
(3)Kaity F.
Not impressed. We waited 50 minutes for our food. During this wait, we experienced the owner snapping at his hostess as she suggested that they put a party of 15 in the back room, as there were other guests waiting for tables. He refused, and told her to shuffle all of the tables around in the dining area where we were seated. We ended up moving our own table, as I was trapped by the window and could not get out. We saw our waitress twice. Once to take our order, once to deliver our food. When our food arrived, my raviolis were cold. I couldn't eat it. I ended up walking around searching for our waitress to get some to-go boxes and a check so I could go heat my meal up at home. Will not return, and will relay my story to anyone I know in the Parker area.
(1)Ann N.
2nd time here. Was busy but got in about 10 min. Wine selection is challenged. Waitress was pregnant and lacked personality or enthusiasm. I ordered Rigatoni Bolognese. They WAY over cooked the pasta. Sauce was good with real pieces of carrot. This is an Italian restaurant!! Can't cook al dente pasta? The waitress came back when I was just about done with my dinner to ask if I wanted another glass of wine. I might've wanted one when my meal came! Just an average independent restaurant in an average little country town.
(1)Billy F.
I have heard a lot about this place...lots of good things. Service: very friendly. made you feel at home right away. Gave us an empty bottle of ketchup for the kids meals and said "if you need more just let me know"...well it was empty so we asked for more but never got it. not a biggie. Food: Kids meals were good...pizza and chicken tenders. good almost borderline great. Cheese ravioli was 8 out of 10...very good and the meatball that came with it was huge and delicious. The seafood papa deli was 3 out of 10. The shrimp was rubbery and the crab tasted old and possibly out of a can. This was one of the specials of the night so the seafood might have been going old??? Was not a big fan of this dish. The eggplant rollatini was awesome...the hit of the night. this was a 9-10. Great texture and tasted great! Price: A little high for what we received. kids meals were in the 8-10 buck range...would normally see these in the $5-$7 range most other places. The pasta dishes were two or three dollars a plate high in my opinion. Would i go back? Absolutely...i will definitely try again and order something else just to see...is it better than maggianos? I don't know...probably the food is better...but for the price??? i have to have a second try at this place....
(4)C C.
The only thing that was good about my food was the veggies. Even they were unfortunately soggy. I had a chefs special that was not good. The kids would not eat their cheese pizza because it didn't taste good. Their pasta was over cooked. Just a big disappointing mess. On the other hand, service was great!
(1)Chris J.
We have gone to Armando's for years and It just gets better every time. The food, the atmosphere and the staff. The most amazing Italian restaurant in Parker and all of Douglas County!
(5)Tenn D.
We stopped in on a Friday night around 8. There were not many patrons, not a good sign. We asked the server for a wine recommendation. His response was that he knew nothing about wine and didn't offer to get someone who did. We ordered Chicken Saltinboco. The sauce was a brown gravy. The chicken patty was tasteless. The salad was ok. The bread was microwaved rolls. I dislike Olive Garden but I probably would have had a better meal there. Parker needs good restaurants and its unfortunate that this one is mediocre.
(2)Joseph L.
Very friendly service and the food was fantastic. Thanks for the great dining experience. Remember they are closed on Sunday.
(5)Dave B.
Went on Saturday evening- very crowded. Veal parmigiana was outstanding. We ordered a large pizza for my kids and I thought it was better than most pizzerias.
(5)Jerry N.
One of the best pizzas in South Metro Denver. Plenty to choose from this cozy Italian restaurant: seafood, pasta, chicken and so on. Friendly service and good location. I recommend the Sausage pizza. Their hand tossed crust is tasty and works great. They do not skimp on the amount of topping/s on their pizzas, something I value.

We visited Armando's on a random Monday night and were surprised to find a semi-full restaurant. Considering the building next door has been empty for at least a year, we figured something was keeping Armando's open besides the bland exterior. We ordered off of the special menu, which is a three-course menu for 2 for $34.99. Not everything on the regular menu was available, but most of the items we would have ordered were on there. We started with the calimari and caprese salad, both of which were flavored well. The calimari was fried perfectly and served with a honey mustard sauce that made the dish. My wife ordered the caeasar salad for her second course and I had the soup of the day. We were pleasantly surprised. We went off the special menu and ordered 4 garlic knots to go with our main meal. They were crunchy on the bottom and buttery on top - basically, perfect. For our main courses, I had the chicken parmesan and she the pasta primavara. We found both to be oily but tasty. I wish they had cooked the chicken to the point of crispness but it was served with the outside soft and oily. The house cabarnet was solid and the service was attentive (almost too attentive but not in a rushed sort of way). I'm glad we stumbled in here.
