We ordered 5 different pies from this place, both fruit and cream kinds. The fruit all tasted like canned fruit mush, and the cream ones tasted like extreme artificial sweetener with some chemicals thrown in. Just as a test, we bought a $5 from Walmart and that sadly tasted better than anything we purchased from My Mom's Pies. Nobody seems to be on the same page there either. We recieved 4 phone calls about one pie that we had purchased ahead of time. Two of the calls were them clarifying that we had bought a particular pie. Another one was them saying that our pie wouldn't be ready until two weeks later because of thanksgiving. Oh...Kay. Also not all pies are available on all days. Would have been nice to know that before we paid for them. The third one was the day we were supposed to pick up the pie, asking us if we still really wanted it and seemed off put by the fact that a pie we ordered two weeks ago needed to be ready on the day we were told. It was supposed to be ready at 3, but he told us they would begrudgingly make it and it would be ready after 5. We called back to see what time they closed, and the girl on the phone told us 5. So were they just hoping to be closed when we got there or what? We made it there just in time, and the girl didn't even know we had prepaid for the pie, and she was holding a baby when she went into the back to package it up for us. So this long awaited pie both looked and tasted like throat phlegm. Also the meringue on top had the taste and texture of dish soap. These pies are on the same level of the business standards of the shop, and they are extremely expensive. We have no problem paying for quality, but this isn't what you'll get here. We would have asked for our money back, but they probably would have told us to come pick it up after 5. So save yourself a headache and money and go to a place where people care about their craft.

We ordered some pies for my dad's birthday/a 4th of July party yesterday. Delicious homestyle pies at a reasonable price! They were a big hit! Thank you!

Home-style Pies I've seen signs for MMP's while passing through Niwot and it definitely peaked my interest since I'm a huge pie lover. Imagine my surprise when I saw them at the local Farmers Market at the Boulder fairgrounds. I didn't mind coughing up some dough to try these bad-boys out for myself. After tasting a sample of their strawberry-rhubarb, I instantly started to browse through their selection for blueberry (my favorite). I decided on a medium blue boy & strawberry-rhub. They have an itty-bitty option that is 3" for $4, a medium 6" for $9, and a regular sized pie that is 9" for $20. The pricing is a little on the hefty side, that's for sure. The small 3 incher is about two or three modest bites TOPS. The medium is equivalent to a descent slice and half if you buy by the piece at any restaurant that serves pie. Pricey, yes! Worth it, kind of. I like their pies. The crust is great and the filling is the way it should taste. I've had some pretty horrible pies in the area and this place beats them, hands down. The only drawback is the price. I do recommend them but just know that they are expensive in comparison to diners and store bought ones out there.

Amazingly overpriced pie. It's amazing pie, but not worth $24.00 price tag. I'd give it 5 stars if they offered local Niwot residents a discounted rate for local pick up. The bumbleberry is not runny which is good

I happened to end up in Niwot today and saw the sign for this place on the street, so figured I'd give it a shot. I ended up getting a 'bumbleberry' pie (basically a mix of berries), and it was delicious. Just the right amount of sweetness and flavor, the crust was perfect, and all around this place was delicious.

I have seen ' My Moms pie' advertised in several places and have seen the pies before, so when I happened to stop in Niwat and saw that the bake shop was there I decided to finally buy one. Their small 6 inch pies are $9.00 dollars- very expensive and have no taste! The crust looks good, but had no taste or texture - it was the opposite of flaky. The same goes for the apple filling which did not have much flavor. I even throw some of the expensive pie away because it wasn't worth the calories. A good slice of apple pie is one of my favorite desserts and I would consider this one of the worst and probably the priciest apple pie I have purchased considering it was only a 6 inch pie.

I had their pie for the first time at Five Leaves coffee house in Englewood and I have to say to my mother: DAAANG MOM!!!! Why can't your pie taste that good????? The peach pie tasted like someone had just pulled the peach off the tree, sliced it up and put it into the pie. It was that fresh!

Kini from My Mom's Pies made over 25 pies for my wedding this summer. Not only were they delicious, but she was by far, the easiest vendor to work with. My personal favorite is the blackberry-raspberry pie! Guests really enjoyed the apple with green chili, a little taste of Colorado. Nothing beats supporting a local shop and loving the product. This place is GREAT. I highly recommend it for those of you looking for the best pie in the front range!

Easily the greatest pie I have ever eaten. I mean WOW. The whole "Pie Family" was so helpful and lovely to deal with. I started out buying these pies at the farmer's market and became a religious convert every week. My kids and husband can't get enough either. Highly recommend this amazing family run business.

Stopped in on a whim and got two small gluten-free pies; one cherry and one strawberry-rhubarb. The cherry was pretty good; good crust for gf I must say. The filling was a bit on the dry side. The strawberry-rhubarb was a different story. There was WAY more rhubarb then strawberry, then add to that not nearly enough sugar for such a tart ingredient. The flavor was shocking in its tartness. I love family owned businesses. Good people who own this company. From reading the reviews it sounds like the peach pie is a winner. I'll try that next time.

I personally come from a long line of pie makers. I was very pleased to hear that My Mom's Pies uses family recipes handed down through the generations - it is a truly family run business. And let me tell you, OMG. Their pies are the best thing to ever come along. Their peach pies are the best I have ever had. My husband, who prefers the ice cream to pie ratio of 2 to 1 (1 being the pie), he's eating the peach pie with no ice cream. AT ALL. I am now giving these as gifts (well, one for you, one for me). My friend ate half the pie in one night - and commented to me without the standard vanilla bean ice cream. Need I say more? Check them out. They are definitely a true gem in the town of Niwot.
