After setting out on foot to find breakfast, this was pretty much the only place open on Memorial day. It appeared to be more of a bakery than cafe, but they do both very well. The interior is set up like an old farm house kitchen, including beverages and place settings being self serve. I ordered the breakfast burrito smothered in homemade green chile and was not disappointed. Servings are large and filling, even the people next to me had a very large plate of eggs Benedict and hash browns. If you don't get filled up, there is always the fresh baked pastries and pies filling the cases.

We had two items today-- the biscuits and gravy and eggs Benedict's. Both were excellent. All food is prepared in an open kitchen and it was fun to see the hollandaise sauce being prepared. I cannot imagine eating any place else for breakfast or lunch.

PRices are high $3.00 for a muffin, $9.00 for eggs and for this part of the world this is high. Food was marginal at best and it is all self serve. If I want self serve I'll go to McDonalds. I would not recomend, many other good places for breakfast in this town to waste time or money in here.

There's usually a daily soup or two to choose from. They have nice fresh baked breads and a nice selection of sandwiches. It's a country joint with a friendly staff.

The Brew Master and I stopped here for sammies a few weeks ago, and reveled in our find. The sandwiches are good and the prices aren't bad either. They also do soups, salads, and baked goods. They also had a stack of local newspapers on their front window, so we could catch up on some local events and happenings while we chowed down. This is definitely my relaxed go-to sandwich place in the Montrose area.

Delicious handcrafted breakfast, lunch and baked goods. Family owned, cozy snack-conducive environment. Eggs Benedict was very good and well-priced at $9, with perfectly poached eggs and generous hollandaise. The 2 egg breakfast with pancake and side meat, was pricey at $9, but delicious. Nice setting in a vintage building in vintage downtown. Friendly staff. A good stop-off on your way to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park!

We found this place on Yelp while driving in from Crested Butte, CO. We were pleased how great the food was. Very friendly people, family run business. They make their own sausage and baked goods and we bought more to carry home. Wonderful atmosphere with lots of locals coming in and out. Great Breakfast! 5 Stars.

30.00 for 3 not so great sandwiches ? No dressing for the salad and delivery of forks to the table seemed to be inconvenient.

Great for Bfast, Street parking, you can eat inside or out. parking is on the street. They make/bake everything.

so i was a little afraid of what to expect when we went inside to $9 breakfasts and self serve sitting. the meals size and quality is totally worth the price with delicious french toast and syrup, perfect hash browns (i am kind of particular with my hashbrowns and most places can't cook them right), and a visually unappealing but so very tasty sausage patty (it looked like an over cooked hamburger patty). My picky daughter ate most of the plate we placed together for her. definitely give it a go. PS the bakery looked amazing with its cream cheese danishes, apple turnovers, and sticky buns.

Traveling for work, I couldn't eat one more hotel breakfast. I stumbled across this Mom & Pop shop and decided to give it a try. Sadly, I'm doing the gluten-free thing so I could dive into any of their pastries. The case looks AMAZING! But I did get to enjoy a nice cup of hot tea and a skillet full of fresh veggies. It's all very serve-yourself including tables and silverware. For business travelers, they do not accept American Express and the itemized receipt is hand written. I would have like my eggs to be more over easy than medium, and would have loved more of their green chili. But over all, a definite recommendation!

When you enter this restaurant, you see tons of baked goods and sweets. I really wanted to try them all! There were danishes, cookies, pastries, etc. However, I decided to order some savory stuff to go. I got the chorizo smothered burrito. It was huge! I liked the green chili and the ratio of filling to tortilla. However, the chorizo was nothing special and tasted more like italian sausage than traditional chorizo. I didn't like how they packed the to go box. They put the napkin and plastic silverware in the box with the food, so the napkin ended up getting soaked in the chili. I'll definitely be back, but I'll probably just dine in next time.

Solid wonderful breakfast food. Homemade mom and pop feel, with an open kitchen. Friendly staff makes you feel at home. We had a long wait for the food to arrive, but worth it. The bread is delicious, and the eggs were cooked just how I like them. Not fancy, but this place is great and hearty.
