Really good breakfast. Wasn't cheap, but not bad. I had the Western Omelet with hash browns and the biscuit. Very good, too much food. Couldn't finish it though. I didn't give it 5 stars because it was a little too cold in the place. I would go back again through, so I would recommend it.

Bit of a drive from Ridgway, but it was quite tasty! I'm here for the marathon Saturday and made the jaunt over. Had the skillet hobo breakfast.

Can't go wrong with breakfast ...Pork green chile omelette real hash browns ... and got the get the biscuits and gravy

Flies, flies and more flies. I have no idea how the food was because the flies beat me to it. I'm completely disgusted.....
(1)MJ P.
A good simple breakfast. Prices are reasonable considering the HUGE portion sizes. Good service too, very fast. Probably would have given 4 or 5 stars, but as another reviewer mentioned, the flies are a bit off putting.

Cat head biscuits. That's all you really need to know but if huge biscuits ain't your thing then howsabout a dinner plate size cinnamon roll? No? Well maybe a couple (says unlimited on the menu. i think more than two could kill you though) heavy duty pancakes (no, none of those wussy ass light and fluffy jobs up in here y'all) to go with that real deal pork green chile omelet? Like where this is going? Well walk on in and step on up! Luvs me a great greasy spoon!

We arrived at the restaurant kind of early on a Saturday and had a few minutes wait for our table. Our busy server came to our table with waters and poured our coffee right away. We ordered eggs bacon toast and pancakes. All were really tasty and served hot in a matter of minutes. My only regret was no blueberries for the pancakes. But otherwise very generous with their helpings. Great local spot for the non locals.

A group of us visited on our way back to Denver from a camping trip. It was a cute mom n pop place with nice servers. The food wasn't anything special. It wasn't bad by any means, just boring and lacked pizzazz. I was rather impressed with the size of the cinnamon rolls tho!! Woah! Portions were pretty hefty too!! :)

Breakfast selection is good with choices of omelets, French toast, pancakes etc. bacon was tough but tasty. Sausage patties were dried out and they exchanged it for a slice of bacon. Didn't care for the bread used for the French toast, it was dry and bland. Eggs were good! Flys shared our meal.

Kinda dirty but it is like a truck stop on the main thoroughfare - lots of flies in the window we were sitting near. Standard fare, plentiful & thick if you know what I mean...

Tressa the manager does a great job making sure the food is fresh and even will prepare it to our gluten free requirements! Fresh food is great but she does s nice job helping her guests feel welcome and that what is served is a generous and well prepared hot dish! We invite anyone who wants a good meal to stop here:-)

I have lived in Montrose since this place opened. It's always been ok all around. The place is really run down now. Today was also a major disappointment. Service was super slow...took two hours to get in and out, and it was the slowest I have ever seen it. Food was cold, coffee was old, service that horrible, and I was over charged. Never going back.

My husband was on the road so I checked Yelp for a breakfast restaurant. This looked like a promising choice. 10 minutes later he text me a photo of his delicious looking breakfast. Then verified that it was as good as it looked.

Stopped here on the way back from Telluride and it was average in the way of food, I would say your typical breakfast joint. The portions were huge and really just way too big. I have the Green Chile and biscuits and it was tasty. The biscuits were light and fluffy and not at all too heavy. The French Toast was good and very tasty. Overall good but nothing to write home about.

Service is good, food was ok for being off the main hwy.

Great diner! Can't go wrong with the Bacon/Avocado omelet or the Ranchero. Friendly staff, big portions. Hit this place going to and from Telluride.
(5)Jackie C.
Traditional American food. Extremely large portions that are heavy on carbohydrates. Not a health conscious or dieter place to go!

Two visits, years apart, same problem. Venue is fine. Staff are helpful. Food is sad. First visit, I got under-cooked pancakes. At a breakfast place! Second visit, my father got undercooked biscuits. Really? Another food place, dying in the kitchen.

For a breakfast place, this franchise is a bit unclear on the concept. The hash browns are not brown at all: it's common knowledge that you are served largely uncooked shredded potato. I've seen this every time I are there. They also undercook eggs ordered "over medium" - runny whites, just like over easy.

Passing through Montrose and stopped here for breakfast. Friendly service, huge portions, and everything was homemade.

Great breakfast! Stopped here on the way from Telluride to Denver. Friendly service, old school diner type establishment right on US 550 in Montrose. The biscuit breakfasts they have are great. Come here with a good appetite because the meals are very filling.
(4)Nate S.
Huge servings, great food. Home made fruit preserved, and amazing sticky buns (be warned, they're the size of a dinner plate). Friendly service, and you will be stuffed and might have leftovers for $10 or less.

Wow, breakfast for lumberjack appetites! Ok, I was visiting friends in Colorado and we went here for breakfast. I love to eat and I love large portions and yes I ate it all. I had eggs country potatoes and endless pancakes. The pancakes came on their own plate and they cover the whole 12" plate! Needless to say i could only eat one plate of pancakes. My friend had a cinnamon roll and it too covered the 12" plate. I was full the rest of the day. The portions are huge, the price is right and the food is tasty. The people are friendly and the service is great.

Awesome breakfasts! On a road trip up from Ouray towards Grand Junction and stopped for breakfast. If you leave here hungry, you are either a competitive eater or a bear. The portions are huge and everything we had was good. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area!

Never been to an Arvins'. Great service, the waitress gave excellent advice on what to order. She even brought us one of those fantastic HUGE cinnamon rolls, on the house! Portions were very generous and the prices were fair. Would certainly return the next time we're in Montrose, or on our way to Ridgway/Ouray.

Pretty sad place for good breakfast. They use gravy out of a can. Mine I swear still had ring marks because it was still cold. I just can't believe it's a chain i.e. there is more then one of these on the Western Slope.
