This is a hole in the wall. I'd give this place 3.5 stars. Service and good and friendly. Food was pretty good. Definitely both a small diner and lounge. Kind of weird that it's a full service bar in a diner... specials menu offers cinnamon rolls and screwdrivers on the same board. It was decent enough where I would go back.

With a bold claim 'best food in town' we had to see if it was true, and so far as we can tell, this claim is true! The beef burrito with green chili was fantastic: spiced perfectly, with a nice slow burn. The people there were super friendly and funny and we felt right at home.

Ambiance: Retro 40's Diner located on the road between Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. Only two legal parking spots in front, so you will more than likely be parking in the back lot and entering the diner from the rear. Appears rear dining room is an add-on to the original dining space up front. This is a bar / diner combo. Service: Friendly. Lots of regular customers who know each other. Food: Limited menu (breakfast and lunch options only). For breakfast, only egg options. For lunch, burgers and hot sandwiches only. I usually go with their breakfast burrito or their huevos rancheros, as they serve a pretty decent tasting pork green chili with these items, though it could stand a bit more heat. Good coffee. Burgers are good and juicy. Overall, a pleasant little place. Better than average diner food. However, beware -- this is a cash-only operation.

Great breakfast!! Green chili omelette was awesome and the Bloody Mary did the trick. Great little 50's diner. Full bar, great staff and awesome decor. Prices were pretty good also. Cash only!

We had lunch here after a morning on Pike's Peak. Amazing food and terrific service. Want an authentic diner? Pick Mo's. We both had burgers which were incredible. Their onion rings are great too! Service was friendly and the atmosphere thoroughly local - the way we like it! Real people. Real food. Pick Mo's.

Just had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Eggs sunny side up. Service and food are excellent as usual. I was introduced to this place by a family friend a few years ago. If you want a quality breakfast in Manitou, this is the place to go!

We ate there this morning and the food was some good diner food for sure. If you a re expecting more then don't, this all dinner food. It has it's place and worth stopping if that is what you are looking for. One thing though they are a cash only place so you have to use the ATM inside and it does cost a few extra dollars for this service..

I've got to say, we love this place. Every time we pass through town, we stop for a meal whether we need one or not. It dates back to the 1940's, and from what I can tell, it hasn't been remodeled since. It is tiny and scruffy. And, unlike most diners, this place has a full bar, at which at least a couple of local drinkers are usually sitting. The waitresses, courteous and efficient, all appear to have worked there for decades. This is the real deal, a true diner, not an art-directed facsimile. I'll tell you about my first visit. Sweetie had been there once before, and couldn't wait to take me. We had left earlier that day from Moab, Utah, and traveled to Manitou via Aspen and the Continental Divide. We were starving. We had passed up several likely restaurants along the way, anticipating arriving at Mo's. We finally arrived well into the evening. Starving. Ready to eat the upholstery. We walked into Mo's, and were told that they had stopped serving dinner hours earlier (only the bar was still open). We were crestfallen, and turned to leave. But the very nice server, seeing our disappointment, offered to whip up something for us anyway. She made us burgers and fries. Excellent burger, cooked medium rare to order, with a perfectly toasted bun. Heaven. And the fries were crispy and hot. Excellent. We camped nearby over night, and the next morning went back for breakfast. Yum. I want to be very clear. This is a diner. Fine dining, it ain't. But the food is freshly made and tasty, and harkens back to another era. If you're a snob, DON'T GO. But if you want some great diner food, along with some good people watching, give it a try. Just the mention of the Haystack makes Sweetie's eyes roll back in his head. (The Haystack is hashbrowns topped with sausage gravy.)

Dive bar. What's in tap? It's a bus bud light type of place. Last time I was there the bartender asked if I was hungry because they only had one frozen cheeseburger left. So if you expect this when you go you won't be disappointed.

Definitely your local, "greasy spoon" sort of place. Food was good for the price, our waitress was very sweet, but the place, even the menus, were dirty. Walls, floor, tables, all grimy, so kind of a turn off. Could definitely tell that they live by their saying, "Where the locals eat", as everyone there seemed to know one another & made themselves at home, which is nice. If you're looking for straightforward cheap eats with good service & no frills, this is the place, if you don't mind the neglected feel & appearance.

This is a bar/diner but it does NOT smell like smoke...I was worried it would smell bad. Pro: -service is warm, welcoming and caring. Smiles abound. Coffee cups are always checked. The place is small, so every time a waitress comes by she is checking how you are doing in a very natural way. -Patty Melt was tasty with large chopped onions, crusty rye bread and well melted cheese. -Tasty potato salad option instead of fries. -coffee pots and water jugs are on the bar - locals will come in and snag their own coffee/water and take their seat at table or bar stool -local regulars are easy to be around and as friendly as the wait staff. -I like the diner ambience Con: -Patty Melt mushrooms were canned - ugh. Makes me wonder about the quality level for the rest of the food items. Prices: average.

Stopped by for breakfast on our way somewhere and saw this little out of the way diner. The decor is eclectic with an emphasis on the 50's. Both the staff and the local were very friendly and talked to us as soon as we were in the door. For the most part, regular diner fare. Nothing too fancy, but delicious anyway. The surprise was the green sauce. Killer. Just the right level of spiciness. Stop by this one off the 24, next time you head up Pikes Peak.

We stopped for lunch and it was ok. My burger was fine but fixins are extra charge, my wife's food was cold (twice). Staff was a little inexperienced maybe for the time of day but friendly.

This is the place! If you're looking for an awesome breakfast check this place out. It definitely has the old school charm and the people were very friendly. Four of us ate breakfast there and we all thought the food was delicious. My bro-in-law had the eggs Benedict special which he said may have been the best he ever had. And he's a big fan of eggs Benedict. I had the country omelette which was superb. Yep, the food was plentiful and delicious and not pricey!

Not a fan of this place. I ordered a cheeseburger thinking that it would have everything on it or at least vegetables on the side so I can put on what I wanted...nothing. Meat, bun, cheese. That's it. Really? Pretty disappointing. Fries were just ok. The waitress was really nice though.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick breakfast before starting our day of sightseeing. The place is pretty cool in that it has retained a lot it's original look. I believe it was built in the forties and the place has a very nostalgic feel. The food was just okay. I got eggs, hash browns, pancakes and my husband got the huevos rancheros with green chili. Both just average and I felt that I could have made something better myself. If you like nostalgic old places with the "Route 66" feel you should check this place out. Just know that the food is basically only "okay".

The little diner with "Best Food in Town"--you gotta love it. It's a cozy and well-used place, with a small front and back dining space. Mo's accepts only cash, but it has an ATM on premises. Open at 6am for breakfast, Mo's switches to its lunch menu around 11, and then later to a separate dinner menu. Mo's offers a full bar and typical beer selection, staying open until 9pm. For dinner, we ordered the pork chops and the meat loaf--each entree was nicely prepared, less than $10, and both came with mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans. Other entrees on the menu were similar home-style food. No complaints about meal, enjoyed the owner's and staff's friendliness.

We love this place. Classic diner feel and the food is awesome. My wife had the only REAL steak sandwich we've been able to find anywhere near Colorado Springs, and I had classic eggs, bacon and pancakes. The cakes are huge and the bacon thick. She was delighted with her steak sandwich. We'll be back . . . many times!

First and last time we'd ever go there. 10$ for a pre-made hamburger patty, a kraft slice and bacon jerky, cooked to the point of zero moisture. I was livid but the waitress is super nice so I didn't say a word.

Don't waste your time or money. Food is bla, service is bad and at the end they tell you that they take cash only - but there is an ATM in the front. Thanks but no thanks, maybe I'm just used to more customer oriented businesses. If you only take cash in this day and age you are backwards and deserve to go out of business

Husband and I had breakfast here. The pancakes are fluffy and very tasty. We also had scrambled eggs and bacon that were good.
