Having driven past the covered bridge on numerous trips to Estes Park this weekend the bf and I decided to stop. The setting is beautiful. Rustic with a water wheel and picturesque pond. The tastings are $5 for 6 tastings. The pours are generous. After getting our first glasses we headed downstairs to sit by the fireplace. It was quiet and relaxing. As far as the wines go there were a few that I could muster no more than a small taste of. We did end up leaving with a bottle of wine and some smoked trout which we have yet to try. I recommend this stop for anyone looking for a pleasant break on a trip back to town.

Great spot that is worth the stop if you are traveling by. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the wines and found the place very relaxing. I'd love to come back to stay in the cabins.

Stopping on a whim, we found Ciatano Vineyards to be one of the highlights to our trip to Estes Park and Rocky Mtn' Nat'l Park. Basically, they beat out several scenic views, a marmot, the Trail Ridge Road summit and a pretty awesome Moose Attack to remain a Trip Highlight. So congratulations to them! Ciatano's has a wonderful setting with ample room to wander. You don't have to stay in the tasting room, as you're able to roam about the place. Sit next to the pond, waterwheel, creek, on the deck, or even in back meadows. You'll have enough room and tranquility that you'll feel like you're removed from the crowds. The employees were extremely friendly, laid back and talkative. Felt like we were being welcomed into someone's vacation home. The white wines seemed to be tastier than their red counterparts. Plenty of crackers and other munchies were available, as well. The servers lined up the bottles in order of sweetness and suggested order of tasting; that really seemed to help. They also have a spa, fishing pond and a motel located on the site. This would be a great place to send your out-of-state visitors for a night or two. In fact, next time I have relatives visiting, we're sending them here. For at least an afternoon.

Been here on two occasions months apart from each other, got treated very rudely each time by the same woman, I'm guessing the owner. We were the only people there tasting, and she seemed like she just wanted us out of the place. Beautiful property, horrible service. The best part was the hidden trampoline. That's it. Use the trampoline and leave.

My husband and I stopped by here on our way home from Estes Park. I love tasting wine, so I convinced him to pull over. The view is spectacular, along the St. Vrain River in the foothills of the Rockies....but the wine is just okay. None of them really stood out for me. We actually left without purchasing a bottle! That never happens when I visit a winery! Something different this winery has to offer is a luxurious spa: the La Bellezza Spa. They offer spa packages along with massages, facials, and waxing. One of their group packages is a Spa and Wine group package where you and your friends can spend some time relaxing in the sauna and jetted tub. Each person can choose from a Facial or the grouping of a Foot Reflexology Treatment and a Warm Paraffin Hand Treatment. Your group will then gather for a private wine tasting of six of their wines accompanied by Italian tastings. Sounds fun for a day with the girls. I was glad we stopped, but probably will never return for the wine.... unless I'm enjoying a facial or a foot rub beforehand.

I don't know what to say. This is the only winery I have been to (and I have been to many) that does not offer a wine bucket aka spittoon which is unfortunate since it would have been the first time that I would have had to use one.

A beautiful mountain hide away in the St. Vrain Canyon. Get a glass of wine, a snack and perhaps a massage and enjoy the deck and view. I agree with the othe reviewers - the wine only so so but the place is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and the spa is wonderful.

Closing out the trifecta of booze stops on our weekend excursion was Ciatano's. And it was the perfect place to finish. Lacey M has been here before and raved about it, so needless to say I was pretty excited, Inside is gorgeous, hardwood floors, light on the clutter, and a beautiful bar. The ow er (I wish I remembered her name, curse the tastings!) couldn't have been happier to have us. We tried most of the wine and I finally settled on a glass to enjoy by the fire. The Cabernet franc here is absolutely phenomenal. Their Cab Sauv and Sangiovese came in second and third on the red spectrum, and if you're a white fan, then I would highly recommend the Riesling which is very dry, and the Viognier. Look outside and you will see a beautiful view with a pond, path, cabins, and mountains, which can be enjoyed from the deck. What a great spot, I was smiling ear to ear from the time I walked in to the time I left. I can't wait to come back here! Cheers!

I stopped into the new "store front" after the new(ish) owner lost the entire property in the Colorado floods last fall... all those beautiful cabins and 18 acres... the new tasting room on Main street is great, and quaint! The owner was an awesome guy! The wines are good - people need to get a grip - they are affordable and taste good. Some are better than others, of course, but a few were really good, and I bought a bottle of red barolo that should be excellent and good price point - stop by and give Ciatano some love and support!

I have driven past so many times and was always curious. So this time we finally stopped in. Glad we did because it was very nice. The property is cute!! I did a $5 tasting and enjoyed relaxing outside on the deck. The deck overlooks the ponds and the property. There was a father teaching his son how to fish, classic. We took a small stroll and found a great swing near a little waterfall we enjoyed, It was a hot day and teh swing was covered. When we did try to make it swing it seemed like it was going to fall apart! I wish they would allow pets on the property, I guess I can understand why they don't, but it would just be so nice. There is a lot of land to explore and I know my pug would have loved it. Instead we had to leave him in the car. The wine was not impressive. The only wine I really liked was a blend. I felt obligated to buy a $25 bottle, yikes, and that's the one I wanted but they were all out. I think it might be the only wine people actually enjoy. I did buy a bottle of something red and have it here at the house. Perhaps I'll bust it out someday this winter by the fire, red seems appropriate for that! I didn't try any of the whites, there were only a few. The lady pouring the wine was nice but she really didn't offer up much info on the wines. I felt like I was just guessing and going in blindly. I am not a wino by any means, so some help would have been useful!

We tasted 5 varietals for $5 on our way out of the Rocky Mountain National Forest. Though the varietals were not necessarily true to taste, the Chinon Blanc was quite delicious. I want to keep a mental note of the cute little cabins available for rent. Fishing pond is available but DIY.
