Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Visiting from San Francisco and this is such a pleasant surprise! I am definitely spoiled with delicious Chinese food in SF, but everything I tried at this place was just as good. Ended up coming here for two days during my weekend trip! The chicken dishes - Orange Chicken or King Pao Chicken if you like spicy - were super yummy. My friend had the sushi rolls; fresh, great value, and lots of options. I looked at the rest of the menu and they seem to know what they are doing. In addition to the food, I'm giving 5 stars for the following reason: Great service: The waitress was super nice and attentive. A baby sitting at the next table was crying and the wait staff gave him a fortune cookie to play with. Really genuine people. Clean: I cannot eat at a place that doesn't look clean, and I felt so comfortable eating this (including sushi!). Overall, everything you look for in a restaurant: authentic food, good variety, and great service!

I've reviewed this place before (back in 2008) and gave it 4 starts and for awhile, I went weekly (my brother worked nearby so we would catch lunch together). I went in today for lunch because I was craving sushi. I haven't been there since the beginning of the year and boy...was I surprised. I am assuming they have new owners as the only thing the same as before is the decor. I walked in and waited a good 5-8 minutes before someone noticed me (they have a foyer to pay/wait in and no one was there). Once seated I was promptly helped but waitress was not personal at all. I ordered sushi: california roll and shrimp tempura. It was not good. First the wonton soup had wontons so tough and chewy they were inedible. The CA roll now is a crab mixure instead of a piece of crab. It tastes like Miracle Whip and a little crab...not good and in no way a traditional CA roll. I do want a mayo/miracle whip mix in my sushi. The shrimp tempura was no better. Whoever put the roll together did not know how to roll sushi and it just fell apart and if you wanted to eat it, you had to use a fork. The "shrimp: was mostly batter (thickness of batter was twice that of shrimp. I had to drink most of my water to get down the few pieces of CA roll I was able to eat. At that point I left the rest because I couldn't get a water refill (because my waitress literally n ever came back). I put money out to pay the bill and only then did someone come by to refill my water and take my money. I never got a copy of the bill. Let's just say I won't be back. I see a lot more Canton Palace in my future...

I just ordered take-out and I thought it was really good. I ordered the vegetable lo mein, steamed vegetables and tofu, a miso soup and an egg roll. Staff was friendly too. Possibly any previous issues have now been resolved. I will be a regular, assuming they are consistent.

I like their spring rolls, but I was disappointed with their foods. The food can be good one day and couple of days later it not good. I have order from them like a lot. I get disappointed by how it taste and the way it looks. I wish they do better. Maybe one day I'll order from them. When they improve. I like their service. They are good at bring me food on time and check on us. The staff are friendly. The place is nice and I like their decor.

I was just moved in a few weeks ago and seek for good Asia food. Here is my favorite place. I've been here almost 3 times a week and I like their orange beef and Kung pao ck.They are very yummy! Also they came out a bento box which come w/california roll, salad, vegi tempura and cheese WT and soup ONLY $6.95!! It is a good deal for me. They also have awesome sushi! And my favor is black dragon roll. Yummy Yummy!!!

Try the Orange Chicken with lovely orange rind in the sauce, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Also had the chefs special shrimp with garlic sauce, light crispy, spicy and perfectly seasoned. Last was the crab warnings and they were quite good. Delivery service was fast and super friendly. My new favorite Chinese place.

I love this place, and have gone for years. Best value, and all the dishes are amazing! I also will note the funniest thing that has ever happened to me happened there a couple of years ago. I happened to be dating a portly young lass, and one could easily mistake her for being preggo if not really careful. Our waitress--bless her heart--asked lovingly when "she was due", and the water works turned on. Holy moly do I still laugh at that, and is really a good memory I had there. Good food, good times.

Read those reviews and tried it before Christmas! Although the building is not very impressive, I really enjoy the food here! I ordered the golden salmon roll, spider roll and shrimp tempura. They were very yummy! Definitely will come back!

Stayed open late for our pickup order. Food was awesome! Fortune cookies were surprisingly relevant. Highly recommend :)

So sorry this place can't get its act together regarding health inspections....the food is fantastic but repeat health violations are deal breakers,

We decided to try this place bc of all the good reviews. I however didn't find it to be very great. We ordered 3 hand rolls for take out. They told us it would take 15 mins. We decided to sit inside and wait. 30 minutes later we started to get aggitated. We aeked about our food and they told us it would be right out. Another 15 minutes went by and they said that our tiny tiny order was put behind a giant order and that was why there was such a wait. After almost an hour we got our food. Sushi was ok nothing great. Wouldn't go back.

I'm glad it's in Loveland, otherwise I'd be here every week. My fiancee says it's the best place in town for sushi. I don't eat sushi so I got the chicken with vegetables lunch special. It was very good. Plenty of food, pretty good egg drop soup and the wonton was amazing!
(4)Samm H.
Pretty amazing Chinese / Japanese fusion foods. I really enjoy the sushi at this restraunt and the staff is extremely friendly and caring! I really like the employee Charlie he's very funny and checks up on our table a fair amount.

This used to be our favorite Asian restaurant in Loveland. Unfortunately, they recently changed ownership and the quality has gone way downhill. We dined there during the first month of the new ownership and the service was ridiculously bad but the food was still good. We decided to give them a few months to get up to speed and went back yesterday. The service was awkward & unfriendly - no smiles, none of the friendly greetings of the former staff. The food has taken a horrible turn - bland and unappetizing. The fried rice used to be excellent - well seasoned and full of egg & vegetables. Now it is just brown with soy sauce and no other flavor. We learned that the old owner is now at Canton Palace, so that's where we're going next time.

I was so disappointed by the quality of the beef in the Beef with Snowpeas I ordered. The meat was cut into huge pieces and was definitely not up to my (not hugely highbrow) standards. Luckily the eggrolls and steamed dumplings were delicious, since that ended up being my meal as I had take-out.
(2)Cassandra G.
I enjoyed my take-out food from here. It was tasty but some things were just not what I expected. I had to wait when I got there because my food wasn't ready but I cant complain to much it's a restaurant it happens.
(3)Doug C.
Not impressed. When I arrived the first thing that hit me was an overpowering odor similar to urine. I know we've had a lot of rain, so maybe their carpet was damp. Both the hot and sour soup and Szechwan beef were BLAND. I had to add salt to the soup just to finish it. The beef had more of a sweet taste and was not worthy of the hot warning on the lunch menu. Won't be back. Still looking for a decent Chinese place in Loveland. To top it all off I get to see the chef out back wiping his hands on his apron while smoking. Disgusting.

Our server was really nice and accommodating but the food wasn't so good. Not my first choice. It's clean. Kind of a bad location.

In the previous year that I have been to this restaurant, the service of it was pretty bad not going to lie. There was a lack of communication somewhere behind the kitchen.I had heard that there was a new owner and decided to dip my feet into the chinese/japanese fusion cuisine once again. To my surprise, the food was on point and the service was just excellent. Very friendly and engaging people. Big step up from the previous owner for sure. So far, I've only tried a couple of dishes and they were just scrumptious, but in the future I'm hoping to try more. Wonderful Dragon, you're going to be seeing my face there pretty often ^_^
(4)Rebecca H.
Upon arrival I was excited. Both price and sushi menu looked good. My reasoning behind the two stars is based on poor communication and a 45 minute wait. We ordered one roll and two lunches. After 45 minutes we inquired about our food and nothing had even been prepared yet. We asked to cancel but they promised our roll was next. Next? If I had known the chef was that backed up I would've asked for our lunch. Our roll came out after another 10 minutes. Then we were asked if we'd like our lunches prepared. Prepared? The roll was good but not good enough to wait an hour.

This is a great lunch destination. The sizes of the platters are wonderful and the service is great!

This was really good for CO sushi.

I knew very little sushi(let alone Asian restaurants) in Loveland that may have been good. Part of it is that I am always passing through Loveland but don't actually make the town a destination. Friends and coworkers who live in Greeley always said that they drive to Loveland or Fort Collins when going out to eat because according to them there are no good restaurants in Greeley. I had a neutral opinion when it came to Loveland until I made a conscious effort that yes, there are indeed good restaurants in Loveland and may even be worth a short drive for some people. Wonderful Dragon is one of these such places. I was recommended Wonderful Dragon by my cousin who said he thought that the sushi here was very good. He has gotten the hang of some good restaurants in Loveland since his mom moved there a few years ago. He sees her once a month. For me that is waaaay to often to see my aunt OR my own mother. While on a never ending brewery tour it seems this summer we decided to actually eat something as opposed to lots of drinking and sober up a bit from the brewery visits and Wonderful Dragon was chosen. Indeed Wonderful Dragon does have good sushi! I ordered two rolls of sushi. One roll had mango in it which gave the roll a unique taste... a taste that I enjoyed! My favorite roll was the second one though. That roll was the Phoenix roll. It had flaky stuff at the top which when combined with the rest of the roll provided a marvelous combination! I too definitely recommend Wonder Dragon when it comes to sushi in Loveland. Just an FYI on how to get to Wonderful Dragon. Downtown Greeley has two main streets going through it. Both are one way streets through this sector of town. If you are coming from the north make sure you Mapquest it or have a GPS with you. Hopefully it will be less hassle to get to if you don't know Loveland all that well.

Good cuisine and a friendly staff that was more than willing to help with the menu and wouldn't give you the stink eye when you asked for substitues. The portions were ample and the prices were fair.

Have you ever been to a restaurant where they will make a dish for you that's not on the menu? This is MY place for eggplant with shrimp and pork. I know there's another place in town that has an eggplant dish on the menu, but this one is different, and it's the one I crave. When I ask for it, the owner will ask me if I'm patient they will go buy and eggplant to cook my dish. This extends my wait for carry out to....20 min. 20 min? Shopped and cooked just for me? Hellyah. This is a limited review. They cook this dish so well, and I love it so much, that's it's the only thing I've ordered here in, like, 2 years. But it's like mom's kitchen 'cept I have to dole out a few bucks. If I can get my eggplant plant to grow, I'll BRING it in to them to cook.

lunch specials are a great deal here. & the food is tasty & fast!

I have been trying for years to find the best sesame chicken and I believe I have found it! Absolutely delicious. And they have a great lunch special. I easily got 2 meals out of my $6.50. I highly recommend it.

What happened? So we ordered a family meal which normally comes with a Pu Pu Platter on top of our entrees, now it's just egg rolls and Wontons. Both dishes were advertised as "spicy" when in fact they were quite bland. My wife didn't like the Egg Drop Soup at all this time around, and 2 of the fortune cookies we had gotten didn't even have fortunes. The last point just seemed to be a final indignity. Sad to see such a good place go downhill...

I love the Veggie Tempura rolls !!! NOMS alllll day long ... Service is adorably polite

My wife and I dined at Wonderful Dragon on 8/11/2013 while on our trip to Colorado. We chose to dine here based on the positive reviews we found on Yelp! This is what we experienced. The food was amazing. My wife had the Pineapple Chicken with half white rice and half fried rice. The sauce on the Pineapple Chicken is to die for and the meal came out hot. I love sushi, so I opted to sample the sushi. I chose on the Unagi Maki, which is cooked eel and imitation crab, wrapped in seaweed and a layer of sticky rice. It is then topped with avocado and "eel sauce", which is similar to a teriyaki sauce, but sweet. Very good! I also sampled the Rainbow Roll. Typical roll with 4 kinds of fish and avocado. Also very delicious. The last item I tried is the Hamachi, or Yellowtail sashimi. I had 6 pieces. The portion size of each piece was smaller than the sashimi I usually eat in San Diego, but it was also priced lower here at Wonderful Dragon. The taste of the Hamachi is very very good, but the texture of the raw meat was more firm than what I'm familiar to, which may indicate freshness. Regardless, the food was excellent and I would give a 5-star score based on the food alone. The service, however, was terrible. It was at least 5 minutes before we were greeted by our waitress. When she did greet us, she forgot to give us the "chips" with the sweet and sour sauce despite the tables around us getting them without asking. My wife had to ask for them. As the meals came, the plates on the table stacked up until the table was full of dirty plates. The waitress didn't take them away as we were finishing plates. When we left, the table was still full of dirty plates. She apologized for the slow service at the end of the night, which is welcomed. She stated that they were short staffed that night. I'm not sure if someone called in sick or if they need to hire additional employees. She did not, hokwever, offer us any kind of discount or incentive for "the inconvenience". All in all, the night was good. People don't go to restaurants strictly for the service, it's primarily about the food, which is why I gave this a 4-star review based on our experience. The bill came out to $36 and we walked out stuffed, so the pricing is fair. If you can muster the slow service, Wonderful Dragon is a great place to eat.

Best Chinese in Northern Colorado, I feel. The Crab Cheese Wontons stole my heart. The Sweet and Sour sauce has a magical mix that will titillate your taste buds. Friendly staff, great food and the need to poop afterwards is minimal. Check it out!!!

One of our family favorites, have ordered take out, dined in, lunch & dinner for many years- prices are great, service is great- but...food quality can be touch & go. When we walk in the door I always look for Ping- when she is there everything is always top notch. That being said when she is not - it is not the same. I agree with other posters that at times it can appear to need a deeper cleaning- but overall we have been very happy 80% of the time.

Felix is Wonderful and he makes a great Dragon Roll. We go for Sushi on a regular basis. I have had the Chinese food and their chef's special noodle soup. If you like Sushi or a cheap hearty Chinese lunch this is the place to go.

Sigh, communism and capitalism make good bed fellows. This is ever so evident as you walk in and you see a picture of GEORGE WALKER, probably named after the Chuck Norris tv show "Walker Texas Ranger", BUSH. Don't worry his buddy Dick hangs on the wall next to him and the "Thank you for Donating to our Campaign" letter addressed to the owner of the restaurant. I have to admit I walked out the first time I walked in because I didn't see any weapons of mass destruction. Excuse me.... Let me continue. When I returned, because I was dying for anything more diverse than beef and potatoes, I darted past the George. W. Bush photos and sat in the back wearing sunglasses the whole time. The place has nice dcor and the owners take pride in it and keep it clean like all hard working American Asian families I have ever known. The place at the time of my dinning was full of fire man and police officers and I could not help but be a narrow minded biased person thinking that they came here just because the owners supported the president. I shook it off and impatiently salivated for some Asian cuisine! Alarmingly I didn't have to wait long. It doesn't take long to scoop precooked food out of a hot holding pan to pile it on a plate and serve. The portions were generous but the food was, sigh, disappointing. I am an avid dog lover. I have a pic of my four year deceased dog in my wallet and don't intend to replace it ever. I once went camping with my dog when a massive rain storm started; think should I build an ark. I had to spend the whole trip in a tent with a wet dog until I could not take it and we went home leaving the tent behind. So, imagine the look on my face when I smelled the rice that to me caused an out of body experience of me being trapped in that tent again. Yes, the rice smelled like wet dog to me. The food was typical for the area; made sweet and not to spicy for the meat and potato crowd and worst yet now some of my money would probably go to George W. Bush!

We come here often for sushi and really enjoy it. They offer great suggestions to try new items. Service is fast and friendly.

Thee best place for chinese food. Sushi is good as it gets and other hot plates are extremely good.

I worked in Ft. Collins, but this place was by far the best Americanized Chinese food around...so good, that my hubby and I would steal away from our day jobs in FC to take a little jaunt down to Loveland for lunch. Another co-worker introduced me. It's cheap, yummy Chinese, but don't expect more than what you're paying for. Good food, fair service and low prices. We always got the sesame chicken, cashew chicken, sweet and sour chicken and beef and brocoli. Loved the soups and eggrolls were pretty okay too. Now I live in California, but I miss the Wonderfulness of the Dragon...
(4)Dana R.
This is the best local chinese available. That being said, it is not the best chinese food you will ever have. It is not a high end chinese restaurant but a local dining option. It is good, tasty chinese food. The following entrees from Wonderful Dragon have never, ever disappointed our family: pot stickers, crab cheese wontons, sesame chicken, schewan beef, cashew chicken and combo fried rice. I find the lobby entertaining and have only "dined in" twice. But we have ordered take-out from here for over 4 years and it is always good, fresh and hot. I agree with one commenter who stated that they should clean it up a bit.
