I was disgusted by the service at this restaurant this afternoon. The place was nearly empty with numerous waiters & waitresses to spare. My husband and I sat there waiting for our waitress to greet us and take our drink order but no one came. A party of two walked in shortly after us, was greeted, and had their order taken. It was also apparent that a party of 6 were arriving, which the staff had decided was more important than us as well. Additionally, I observed several staff members standing around chatting away. After patiently waiting, we were ready to have our meal order taken. I noticed the host walking by our table so I called out (twice) for his assistance. The guy actually ignored me as he casually walked by! Irritated, I stood up to ask one of the waitresses if someone could take our order. She stared at me as if irritated, said "yes", and continued to converse with her coworker as I walked away. I sat back down and waited to see if this would precipitate any action. Surprise, surprise, no one cared! We stood up and walked towards the door when the lovely host who had previously ignored me yelled, "Have a nice evening!" while the numerous waiters & waitresses stared and stood idly by. I responded, "No one even took our order" as we walked swiftly out the door. This restaurant has lost our business forever and we will not be recommending it to anyone we know! I have never been treated this way at an establishment. On this day, the service here was disgraceful! If I could rate it zero stars, I most definitely would!!!

My family and I have generally enjoyed Mimi's Cafe; on this particular Sunday it wasn't very busy and myself, my teen, a nephew, my sister, brother-in-law , and their three kids under three (includes a set of twins). The thing about not getting great service at Mimi's is that such an event is rare. We've had baby showers and birthday parties and family meals with 15 people or more and never had a problem. On this day, our waiter was struggling with details, bringing two drinks instead of the one we ordered, putting sugar on the rim although I asked him for no sugar, mixing up the sauce I requested for my meal (salmon, delicious), and generally not seeming to pay attention. When the check came, rather than utilize the handwritten note telling him who was paying for what next to each item ( I had a section of the receipt, they had a section), the check was split so that one check was less than $10 and the other grossly miscalculated. With three kids needing naps and the teens having school the next day, we asked for a correction. Twice. Enter Leslie, the manager. Leslie surpassed all of my expectations; after trying to adjust the check properly with our waiter, she gave us a free entree rather than hassle with it. The thing that impressed me most was that she took an extra step and asked me if everything was alright with the meal ( I was prepared to accept the entree and go because of the kids). When I detailed the other mishaps with the food and the adjustments I requested for health reasons, she caught up with me and apologized for the mistakes and made the meal complimentary. Rather than leave me feeling annoyed at the lack of attention to detail, Leslie left me with a positive memory and my family and I will be back. She spoke to the waiter personally and I hope it helped.

Yeh! for small indy family owned restaurants! --and I think I like Mimi's too! They win me over with the baked goods. No bread basket today, but the memory of the sweet banana bread and the crusty whites get me salivating like Pavlov's dog. My Crab and Avocado Omelette was OK. I'm not an omelette girl, so I have no idea why I ordered it. I guess the menu writer gets 4 stars. It seemed a little "eggy" as my husband put it. I would have liked a better balance of the cheese, tomatos, and crab with the egg. Eggy, maybe I'm wrong and that is what an omelette is all about. The Chopped Cobb Salad was good. In fact I think I'll finish off the leftovers after I write this up..... Bacon, turkey, cheese, egg. It could have used more tomatoes. Raisin Carrot Muffin-yum! Buttermilk Spice Muffin--Double Yum!!

i am always a fan of mimis cafe and loveland place also didnt dissapoint. Our friends had not tried it before so they also give it a shot and were happy after the meal. I stopped in this morning and discovered my favorite breakfast item was no longer available. My waitress was friendly, informative, easy in the eyes too. ;) I had the Santa Fe omelette and found a new favorite breakfast item. The food was great, service was great. Not worthy of five stars because my coffee cup wasn't 100% clean and my butter knife still had something green on it. I still like this place and will return.

How do you not have enough workers on a Sunday night? It's 6:00pm and half of the restaurant is closed and there is a 20-30 minute wait. Horrible service!

Mimi's was always a treat in many regards, awesome menu and food, terrific happy staff, and buzzing with patrons... never minded waiting for a table. I think it was sold several years ago and the decline has been extremely noticeable. The many little things add up to a less than enjoyable experience. Lower food quality (and quantity), no variety of higher-end sugar alternatives, not a busy place and yet everything takes a long time... It just all adds up. I miss the Mimi's of old and wish whoever owns or manages it now would bring back the people who knew how to run an amazing restaurant. We've tried the "new" Mimi's now for the 4th time at different ones around the country and finally give up.

My goodness what has happened to Mimi's!!! We got there right at noon and we were seated immediately. It used to be you always had to wait. My sister commented on that also. Waitress was there in a flash. We ordered quickly and our food came pretty quickly. I amnot a fussy eater but I didn't eat any of my food after a couple of bites. I got a chicken and guacamole sandwich. It was just a mess everything falling out of it. My corn chowder was cold and tasteless. My sister got The Reuben and onion soup. She Ate her sandwich but her soup was also cold. We had my sister's 9 year old grand daughter with us. She ordered the chicken fingers. She told us they "tasted funny" we tried them they tasted freezer burnt. They brought her the corn dogs they were little nuggets of hard corn breading with hardly any hot dog. We brought them home for my dog and she played With one but didn't eat it. I have no idea what Mimi's has done to themselves but it was definitely a change for the worse

A very good place to go for lunch with family. Cute atmosphere and lots of good comfort food type items. However, they were not very good at substitutions to accommodate dietary needs. I was bummed that they have done away with the fresh and fit menu and don't have any caloric information or low calorie items listed (they do have some they just aren't highlighted in the menu). Our waiter was very lack luster and had attitude. The food was really good though for this level of establishment and the lunch prices are very reasonable with good portion sizes. We especially enjoyed the new (low cal) Chicken Med Salad and caprese salad as well as the lobster bisque which was the soup of the day. Not a must, but will return with parents and grandparents!

I've only dined in a few times. And each time the servers seem not very happy with the job they have. The other times I have had pick up orders and one of the times the heavier set manager was present. Very rude to not only customers but also staff. No wonder the staff always seems so miserable. Probably one of the reasons mimis is struggling.

I can see why they rated this restaurant 2 1/2 stars. My wife ordered a steak and fries for dinner. She order the steak medium rare, but the steak was over done as well as the fries. The steak was also dry. Our waiter said he would notify the manager and the cook, however we saw neither the waiter nor the manager. I ordered The chicken with Tillamook cheese and pasta. The chicken slices were chewy. The only thing decent was the salad and a glass of wine. We probably will not come back to this restaurant. The food is way overpriced.

I really don't understand all the negative reviews. My husband and I are here from South Florida on vacation. We stopped for lunch on our way to Estes Park and came across Mimi's. Let me tell you, for a Thursday, this place was hopping! We were brought to a table in a quiet back room by the friendly hostess who chatted with us for a few minutes. As we looked over the menu, Megan, our server approached us and told us of their specials. We ordered - hubby got a bacon cheeseburger and I got the roasted chicken crepes - and Megan brought us a bread basket. The bread, mini baguettes and carrot-nut bread was very good. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. Megan was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We ordered 4 blackberry brown sugar muffins to go (since the breads were so darn good!). The general manager stopped by our table and genuinely wanted to know if we were happy with everything (of course we were and let her know that). She then gave us a box of 2 muffins - one blueberry and one buttermilk spice as a thank you for coming in. All of this attention and thanks were from people who knew that we were only on the area temporarily. Don't make your decisions about this place based on the negative yelp reviews. I'm glad we didn't, otherwise we would have missed out on a very enjoyable visit.

I remember when mimis cafe was a good restaurant to go too. All the booths and tables were full and you had to wait in the lobby to get a seat. Now there was maybe a handful of people and I can see why. The food was bland and tasteless and the portions were small and the price was high. A sad downfall to what once was a great restaurant.

Sunday for Brunch, quoted 20 minutes so we decided to stay, got mimosas and stood outside about 30 minutes because inside was so crowed, once able to, we went in and stood for another 40 minutes before seated, sat a good while, before being greeted, asked for coffee and water and we ordered right away. we sat for almost 30 minutes before we caught someone's attention for our water and coffee, water came, no coffee, no second drink offered, waited a full hour and ten minutes from seating till food came. Husband had Eggs Benedict, sauce had separated from being cold, but he was starved and scarfed it down, my crepes were cold and the melted cheese on top had turned into a solid chunk of hard cheese, the insides, just cold, not even mildly warm. Server still hadn't stopped by, I had asked another for butter for the piece of bread I had gotten from hostess area, that was placed out for everyone waiting, never got the butter, never got our coffee and not a soul to ask for help. Server finally swings by, hands full and asked if we wanted another mimosa, of which I said, an hour ago yes, but not now, would like our coffee, Didn't get the coffee. I go up to area for to go orders and told young man at counter, my meal was not as it should be, he said he would send manager over. She apologized, but never asked what we wanted - which was HOT food and some coffee - she apologized - was nice and said "meal was on us" meaning the meal I haven't had I didn't have to pay for - I was past floored with all of it. After over two long horrible hours we left starved. I ask - all staff - how would you rate this experience? I ask manages, what could have been done differently? We were not alone in most of this, as others were complaining and piling dirty dishes on their tables and grabbing anyone passing by for help. If staff was out due to flu or other causes, think outside the box...Maybe a good parent/ teenager kid day - bring the kids to work and ask them to help assist for food??? Or Neighbors and friends? Anything is a better solution to what was happening. OR if insurance frowns on that option - close half the restaurant and only open the size you are able to staff efficiently. In the past our experience was nice, not top of the biz in food or service, not enough to rave about or complain about, but nice enough place to go, this took it to another level.

This was one of our favorite places to eat when in the area. Over the past 2 years the food has gone down hill. We decided to eat dinner there tonight to give it another try, and were seated right away (although they weren't real busy). Our server was nice and brought our coffee and water right away. Well after about 40 minutes and finally asking if our food was about ready and were told it should be soon. We waited another 10 minutes with no food and noticed at least two tables that came in behind us were being served. We decided to leave, and ended up paying $6 for our two coffees on top of it. Will not be going back for a long time.

There is a problem here, and you see it in the Yelp reviews. (Management has obviously never heard of Yelp) The service in this Mimi's is just really, really poor. Indifferent and incredibly slow moving wait staff. Not only us, but everyone and everywhere in this restaurant. We went for breakfast Sunday morning - first time at this Mimi's location, although we've loved the brand and their food in other cities and states for years. I'll just get right to it... our server was inexperienced, clumsy, and slow. I ordered Corned Beef Hash and Eggs, she brought me Eggs Benedict. At the conclusion of our meal, we waited 15 minutes for our check. The restaurant was not that busy. We watched other people send back orders for correction. We saw other servers looking confused and disoriented. There's just a vibe about this place that doesn't match up with my experiences at any other Mimi's. There's a management problem here, and whoever has responsibility for hiring has set the bar very low. If you love Mimi's, stay on I-25 and keep on driving. Maybe you'll do better 30 miles down the road at the Orchard location in Westminster.

The menu has been reduced considerably and there is one vegetarian main entree (a vegetable sandwich) on the menu now. The food was good but expensive, especially for so few choices. I was disappointed to see a lot of the items like quiche and pasta dishes removed from the new menu. Definitely won't seek this place out!

Waitress was very innattentive, waited over 45 minutes and after placing the order, never saw her again until the check came. Someone else brought our order out. Had to settle for a burger because they were out of what I had gone in for. Nice enough decor and atmosphere but felt non important to the staff.

This place so bad it was almost laughable. I should've turned around the minute I walked in there. It was very empty and I was greeted (barely) by two less than enthusiastic staff who showed my friend and me to our table in a large vacant room full of odd decor and tacky nick nacks that made me think of what a Denny's in Vegas might look like. It was kind of bizarre. But looks can be deceiving so we hung in there. We were there for breakfast. My friend had a cinnamon roll and reported that it tasted like something that came out of the frozen food section of the grocery store. I had the eggs benedict with potatoes. All my food had an 'off' taste I attributed to rancid cooking oil. I barely ate any of it - it was truly awful. And of course, the coffee was terrible too. So, rotten food, a surprisingly high bill -- $22 plus for 2 bad coffees, an order of eggs benedict and a flavorless cinnamon roll. Oh, and I almost forgot, the guy who brought our food (not our waiter) had dirty fingernails. Totally disgusting. Guess how excited I was to dig into my food after seeing that? Yuck! The ONLY positive was the service from our waiter. Although he really should've asked why we didn't eat, but perhaps he already knows the score there. Next time I'm in this location I will opt for Starbucks, Panera Bread or Cracker Barrel for breakfast. My Mimi's experience was a one-time-only -- never to be repeated event. YUCK!!!

Beware! Mimi's has sold and it is not the same. The menu is about 1/3 the size that it used to be and most of my favorites are gone. You can definitely tell that they are cutting corners with their menu offerings and service. Mimi's has been one of our favorite places to eat but I'm not going back and will no longer recommend it as an option. I had the chicken crepe and it was disgusting. You'd do better going to Perkins or Village Inn...seriously!

Felt like a chain restaurant, food was ok. Attempts French/American/New Orleans style, but doesn't quite compare. However, I do love their baked goods! Muffins were light, almost like cake. I loved both the carrot and the spicy nutmeg slices that they served before the meal. It was better than the meatloaf or the pasta my husband had! If you go here, order the muffins!

LOVE their french onion soup. Told my fiance that I would eat it as my last meal! Service is decent, I'm assuming lunch on a Saturday was their A-game? BREAD IS AMAZING. I seriously would go for the bread and soup alone.

Took 2 hours to get a table even with a call in reservation on sunday! The French toast with berries was good with a huge strawberries smoothie!
The menu has been seriously paired down and prices raised. (a lot) The burgers and onion rings are bland. No seasoning what-so-ever. Asked for extra thousand island sauce for the burger and it was flavorless too. The coffee was good. I've been visiting this location for as long as they've been there. The wait staff has a high turn over and are always awkward. When turn over is this high it's usually a management problem. And I've got to ask... Why do some tables get free bread and some don't? Aren't we worthy? My money would have been better spent at Burger King.

Very French Bistro feel! The food overall was average. A highlight was the appetizers are a must! (Try the sampler) A lot of the decor is updated while other parts of it feel kinda dated. This place is worth trying tho

I am a very tolerant person, and this is actually my first restaurant review ever. But this was the WORST restaurant experience I can remember. We waited an HOUR for our food. What complicated meal did I order? A SALAD. We requested bread, they forgot to bring it. We ordered muffins, they forgot those. I ordered a small bowl of fruit, they forgot that. One of the waitresses and the managers told us they were unexpectedly slammed, but we didn't see any congestion (there was no line, and this was a Friday night). Nor was there much of any sense of urgency in any of the employees we saw. The kitchen staff were standing around and talking and joking around. When we talked to the manager she barely made any apology of any kind and just brushed it off as that they were slammed. I've seriously never seen this level of incompetence in a team before. I've been to a couple other Mimi's locations and would recommend them both. But this place needs to be shut down until they can figure things out.

I am not sure if this is suppose to be a french resturant or a New Orleans french resturant. In any case it is just an averge place to get good average food. Won't return since there are better places out there.

The only reason I am giving Mimi's two stars and not one is because the mocha latte was very good. We used to LOVE Mimi's cafe, and ate at them in California and Las Vegas, and now here in Colorado. We are so disappointed and will not go back. They have changed the menu and the food is not good. We used to go there for their great pasta dishes, but what we love is gone. The portions are smaller, the selection is awful, especially for breakfast. The new owners need to do some serious changing back to what used to make this restaurant one of the finest places to eat.

The first time we went to Mimi's last Feb, the service was slow and food was slow to come out. Food was okay but not great. We went again today due to having a gift card we got for Christmas. This experience was Horrible. The service for lack of a better work Sucks. When we came it was slow but no one came up to us to seat us for 5 min. even though there were several staff members standing around. We even witnessed the manager arguing with a staff member about taking a lunch break. I am gluten free and when I asked for a gluten free menu they gave me the binder that the servers are supposed to reference. When I asked questions the waitress had no clue. We were charged from having the muffic changed to a side of fruit which were two smal wedges of unripe cantelope. We were very dissapointed and felt very unwelcome. We will not be back

Terrible had Thanksgiving Dinner Their. Portions were very small and the food was so/so. The waiter was a complete ass, very rude and could care less about the service. I would recommend NOT going here. Very disappointed for a one month reservation for a Thanksgiving Dinner for my family, they gave my one month reservation to someone else and I had to wait for another table. TERRIBLE!!

This place has gone down hill and fast. This used to be a place where waiting in line was standard but not now and I guess I should have taken that as a warning. The waitress was awful. My salad came without dressing after flagging her down she said "Are you sure?" Did she think I was not telling the truth and I am seceretly hiding the dressing? We had to ask for our bread basket. She tossed it on the table in a huff. I noticed that there was no bacon in my salad, not one tiny little piece. Of course the waitress was MIA at that point and when we were done eating and she showed back up I mentioned this to her. She just snottily said "Do you want me to bring you a couple of pieces?". My husband's chicken dish was missing the mushrooms and he said it tasted funny. the other diner had a Cobb salad that he didn't eat the turkey as he said it tasted like the refrigerator. It obviously had been in there too long. A manager...you think we ever saw a manager? Nope. He/She was also MIA. Maybe in the bar watching football, but certainly not on the floor dishing out customer service. this place needs a serious change. They need to train the wait staff. They need to make sure that they deliver quaslity food to diners. They need a manager to be visable. The highlight was the muffin. it was great. But whyis it brought to you before your meal? That is very strange. We will be back you ask. Not a chance! At least not to the one in Loveland!

I come from a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. And I visit with a relative annually in Fort Collins, Colorado. From the mid-2000s through 2014, we looked forward to eating at Mimi's Café. It's a 20-mile commute, one way, but there is plenty of nearby shopping (outlet mall plus a major outdoor mall). So, we combined this to make the drive worth it. This is no longer appealing. It is no longer worth it. And this is attributed to our last experience at Mimi's Café. When we ate there in June 2014, we didn't have a disaster. We just had it dawn on us that this Mimi's Café, in Loveland, Colorado, and perhaps Mimi's Café in general, was no longer impressive. We had problems figuring out what to order. Instead of being tempted by too many hard-to-resist choices, we were trying to figure out what may be okay for us. This menu was more than decimated. Numerous categories of menu items were, as mentioned here, pared down. Now, in the restaurant business, an owner (and/or manager) can make a mistake with having too many menu items. But, this time, it felt like Mimi's Café had too few. And in fact, it felt like Mimi's Café took that direction because it may be in serious trouble, in terms of overall operations' costs, as a business that may be struggling to survive after, compared to the previous five or so years, one would think it had thrived. Mimi's Café was owned by Bob Evans, a popular family dining restaurant chain regionally from the Rust Belt states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Michigan [et al.] in which consistency is maintained and quality remains strong. If Mimi's Café had been thriving, I don't necessarily think Bob Evans would have sold it. Mimi's Café struck my relative and I as a place that was great (we loved the French Dip which used to have lots of beef; Chicken Pot Pie was exquisite) to one that became mediocre. We loved the New Orleans-themed rooms. It had marvelous décor. But that is no substitute for the quality of the menu and what is served. We also noted that, after arriving on a Tuesday at 04:00 p.m. MT, we beat the dinner crowd. When we were leaving, around 05:30 p.m. MT, we still had the dinner crowd beat. That is because there were, perhaps, just two other groups of patrons in the restaurant.

TERRIBLE!!

I've had better here, but with today's experience, I'm not sure when I'll retry this place.
