Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

No thanks Rude Moon, I've given you four shots, now its time to go. Pros: -It in Loveland. -It's "Chinese" Cons: - Extra Charge for ALL rice. Yes thats right, ALL white rice is extra. -TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE RUDE "SERVICE" (If you could even call it that) -60-120 minutes Delivery time, Every-time. -Delivery Charged Extra -Mystery chicken with weird chewy parts TIPS: -When ordering: Do not ask questions. -Expect delivery to take 60-120 minutes without fail. -If something is wrong, DONT call! Suck it up. -In fact, just don't ask them about anything if you don't want to hear some 16 year old customer service rep getting reamed by management for conveying message. -Beware of chicken. My takeout has taken 1 hour 20 minutes on 3 out of 4 occasions. But hey, I'm an optimist so I give them 4 chances. When the food arrives the chicken is rubbery with weird parts that are not chewable. Sauces are very good though, so you can mask the meat. Anytime I've called to check on my order the manager yells at the customer service phone answerer so loudly I can hear them. The last time we ordered we were missing an item. After calling, the manager yelled so loudly at the customer service phone on how we were wrong, that I felt TERRIBLE for the customer service rep for even calling! Mind you, I would have paid for the extra item if needed...

I've gone to the Main Moon Chinese restaurant next to Daddy'O's in Loveland for over a decade, and in my opinion, this is the best Chinese food in Northern Colorado. Pork fried rice lovers rejoice

My husband I eat there all the time. It is my favorite but the last 3 times or so we have felt horrible after eating here. Up all night, horrible headaches the next day. They say no msg but I not so sure.

We received a delivered order that was unsatisfactory. My daughter ordered Hunan vegetables which she meant a vegetable dish with Hunan sauce, they sent us an order that consisted mainly of celery and they charged us the same as if she had ordered the Hunan chicken. We called to complain and was told it was our fault for not communicating the order properly! No offer to replace the order or compensate in any way. The rest of the food in the order was mediocre. We will never order from here or recommend this place to any of our friends or family.

Been getting takeout here for years and it has always been good. I usually get the same thing for dinner, broccoli beef combo, with hot & sour soup, fried rice, and an extra egg roll, enough for me & hubby to share. The wontons are great and the lunch specials cant be beat for the quality and price. No MSG!!!! love this place!!!

Don't let the low income strip mall fool you, this place has the best Chinese food in Loveland. No one even comes close. Yes, you have to deal with their stone cold, emotionless stares when ordering but...it's made to order Chinese food at a great price! Big portions too! Also, keep in mind that this is more of a take-out kinda joint. So if you do end up eating in, be advised that there are only 4 dining tables available.

It's very good food with a decent amount of vegetarian options. The lunch special is a great deal too and all the food is reasonably priced. They have been in business as long as I can remember an rightly so cause it is yummy!

Not impressed! Thought with the good reviews this place would be good. But after ordering the Sweet & Sour, my usual favorite, was very plain & tasteless! Even the egg roll was tasteless. Have had way better!

Did lunch specials today.Cheap enough but Smallish servings. Had hunan beef and sesame chicken.Sesame chicken not good no sauce soggy crust falling off.Hunan beef good lots of vegetables but also lacking sauce. We also ordered fried wontons. No taste and a little undercooked. Will probably try again maybe dinner next time.

So good! Delivery is fast. Depending in who answers staff is pretty great. I love their lo mein & chicken teriyaki. Only thing I'm not a fan of is their rice. It always seems to be undercooked.

I have always been satisfied with Main Moon. Hunan beef made extra spicy is always a good choice! Love their dumplings and their wonton soup is decent too. They always remember me and my order since I get the same thing. Quick and polite service keeps me coming back. I have eaten in there long enough to be able to see them sit down for their own meals and watch what they eat vs. what they sell. I ask questions about what they are eating and make a point to order that, it's far more authentic and doesn't have fake neon sauces!

Having just moved from San Francisco and being a stereotypical Californian food snob, I must say I have been extremely disappointed with the food in Loveland. I can't find a good burrito to save my life. I'm pregnant and have been having the odd craving here and there. The other day I sent my husband out to get me an eggroll and he came back with some and pork fried rice from here. I couldn't believe how good the rice was. It was not greasy or overly salty at all, and they do my favorite kind of pork with the red marinate. Eggroll not that great, but it was because it was mostly cabbage. You can tell that they don't use msg, and I will definitely be eating there again.

Being new to Loveland I was looking for good quality authentic Chinese cuisine with at least decent customer service. I've never been so disappointed with a restaurant in my life. The manager gave us the wrong order and we didn't realize until home and had opened it up. I called the restaurant and the manager was extremely rude demanding I hurry and bring the wrong order back immediately even calling me twice as I was on my way. Upon arrival I expected an apology and hoped they would try to do something to make up for the inconvenience. Instead I was yelled at told my husband who picked up the initial order was stupid because he didn't know everything in the order. All he had to do was check the phone number but he never gave him a chance to give it. The worst part was they took the order they had given us that belonged to someone else which we had already opened and touched and repackaged it to send it back out. I work in the restaurant business so I understand accidents happen but the treatment we received from the manager himself on mother's day no less was absolutely inexcusable! The food was cold by the time the ordeal was over and even reheated was terrible. Chinese food is one of my favorite things to eat and I've eaten a lot of it from many different places but I have to say this was one of the worst. Add in the atrocious so called customer service and abominable isn't a strong enough word! Please for your own sake and well being steer clear of main moon!

I don't understand how this place has gotten so many bad reviews. After a long hunt in Fort Collins for decent Asian food, and being disappointed every time, we found Main Moon. We've ordered from them 3 times now, getting something new every time, and it has been consistently amazing. The wontons are fabulous.

Spectacular food with decent prices.. The house Lo Mein, house fried rice, and cheese wontons are my fav!

Best Chinese in town, most food for the smallest buck! We pay just as much as you would for Panda Express but get two meals worth of food from this place. Great pu pu platter, excellent wontons (they usually hook it up and give you more than the ordered 8). Quick delivery and always nice smiling delivery people! Love this place!

Employees were very polite, and very responsive to walk-ups to the counter. I ordered the General Taos Chicken Lunch Special, and the price was very reasonable. Overall the food was to par, but there was nothing special about it. The rice was a little under-cooked, and the chicken was a little chewy. I guess I would say this is on the same level as all Chinese restaurants in Loveland, CO.

Surprisingly good. I haven't had takeout in years, since we moved away from the one we used to use. Got a hankering tonight but kids sleeping, so ordered delivery. They were SO FAST!! I was told 45min and not even 20 min later, my doorbell rang. The driver was nice, the person who took my order was nice, and the food tasted great. Didn't even get to eat much of it because I was stuffed after some cheese wontons and spring rolls, so now my fridge is packed with leftovers. I mean, this isn't "gourmet" Chinese food, but it is exactly what I wanted and expected for delivery/takeout, and much more in volume than I expected. Tasted freshly cooked and hot. Am looking forward to the leftovers.

Let's face it, Loveland is NOT a Chinese food mecca. And all buffets are a scary business...Main Moon's now-defunct 29th St. buffet at Orchards was simply awful, just like Red Dragon across the street still is. But the takeout place on Eisenhower (hwy 34)-- I give it 3 stars, because it ranges from 1 star to 5. Very spotty -- but that's Loveland Chinese Cuisine I'm afraid, at least so far in my experiments with every place in town. Only about 4 tiny tables in this place -- takeout is recommended instead. Sesame chicken, Mu-shu pork, and Kung pao here are darned good. General Tso's was OK. Cheese wontons always excellent, dipping sauce awful. Get hot mustard instead. Sweet and sour and Schezuan sauces were bright orange and bright pink respectively. Noooooo! Color like that makes me run away screaming in terror. I cook lots of Chinese at home, especially Schezuan and Hunan, and make my sauces from scratch.....ain't never seen colors like that in nature, outside of a Kikkoman's jar. Good wontons don't need a dip anyway. I've found the 2-3 dishes I like here, and order them every time. If the weather's nice -- order and pay, get your groceries at Safeway next door, come back and pick up your takeout bag, and drive 3 miles west to the park on the Big Thompson river by Fort Medina (turn right at Sandy's gas station). Eat your meal on a picnic table by the river and watch the fish rise, while your dog lies under the table and begs bites. Works for me. I agree with Carrie C on the hot and sour soup, it was neither. Since soup's included -- I get egg drop. Hard to wreck that. I like Main Moon and go there frequently, after I learned how to avoid the dishes that glow in the dark.

They do take out the way you're supposed to do takeout - cheap and plentiful and fast. But it's just that - the quality of food is what you expect from takeout. Not bad but nothing special either.
(3)Jamie L.
Carry out location on W Eisenhower is great, and a favorite of our family. Have been less impressed with the quality of the sit down buffet on 29th St. Definitely a great option for carry out or delivery chinese!

I ordered, or at least tried to order from this place VIA their online order site. Sadly, after waiting an hour and a half, I called up to see the status of my order. This place didn't even have the decency to call and tell me that they don't deliver to the part of town I am in and cancel the order. No where on their order site does it say their delivery area, and my house is only a short 12-mins away.
