Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

This place is a 5 star "casual-fast" restaurant. Don't be put off by the odd strip mall location, this place is delicious! After a long day of hiking, we needed some hearty food to fill us up, and this place was great! You order at the counter and then they bring it to you. We ordered the fettuccini florentine and the jambalaya, I also had a salad, he had a soup, and we split a baguette. (Long day of hiking!!) The food came out fast, the starters came out first, and everything was delicious. The bread was warm. The veggies tasted fresh. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Exactly what we needed!

Excellent!!...great food and excellent service at a reasonable price. Everybody in the family enjoyed a different dish so I was able to try several of the signature dishes including the Gorgonzola chicken and the twisted Mac and cheese. Both were excellent!...fresh tasting and brought to our table piping hot within minutes of ordering...the deserts were also awesome...the tuxedo Bomb and the tiramisu were both incredible...the owner himself checked in with us twice to make sure our dining experience was satisfactory!...quick, tasty, reasonable prices, great service and CLEAN!!....what more could you ask for?
(5)Jennifer D.
Been here a couple of times and is always fast, friendly and yummy. Only one problem with the staff not getting requested items but the manager promptly responded and the issue has since been resolved. Great place, highly recommend!
(5)Kaylee N.
Twisted noodle is my favorite place in longmont!! Love the fresh made cheese ravioli and I also the Alfredo pesto as well. Absolutely great and fast service. 5 stars.
(5)James H.
Touch of heaven, a great dish of Jambalaya is awaiting. The southern dish is a touch spicy. Filled with sausage and a mix of fresh peppers over noodles, I call it the body. To highlight the meal add the French Baguette, which I call the soul. Together the meal touches all of the senses . The restaurant is clean. The chair legs were wiped down as I dined. Plus, friendly and knowledgeable staff answered all my questions. To find the place it's in a corner of a new strip mall. Give it a try, I did.
(5)Liz D.
Just stopped in for a quick try..yummy! Had the Pasta Jubilee and some garlic bread. Great choice for something mild and flavorful! The service was friendly and fast, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was clean and casual. Highly recommend.
(5)Krystal R.
I have been going to the Red Frog for coffee for awhile now, and kept saying I should go to the place next door for lunch! I'm glad I finally did! The Twisted Noodle is rad! I got the tomato basil classico without parmesan, it was great!! With some dishes when you take away the salt factor of the cheese they just aren't very good. This one was delicious without cheese, the basil and sauce were a flavor perfect combo for this amazing spaghetti dish! There are a lot of gluten free options for those who need it. I highly recommend giving this place to your taste buds.
(5)Russell B.
The food is good, the employees are engaged, and the Management/ownership cares about the quality of the food and experience. Beats everything nearby and you ought to come here for lunch if you have the chance. Good for kids and a relaxed meal. When you get to Longmont, give them a try.
(5)Hiroshi S.
I tried Chicken Gorgonzola w/Cavatapi at lunch. The taste was almost fine but it was a salty for me. I hope they will reconsider amount of salt. I will try an another one next time.
(3)Jake W.
The food is fantastic (I had the four cheese ravioli and the garlic bread), it was quick to come out, the place was clean, and it was really well-priced! I hope they are successful enough to expand into Fort Collins, I would definitely be a regular.
(5)Kevin C.
Excellent food. Too bad I'm on a super low carb diet or I would have been back for a 3rd and 4th time and so on! Pasta is cooked right, the flavors are right on, and I like the recipes a lot. There's a good mix of traditional and experimental here for a pasta place. Great value.
(5)Richard K.
To be truthful I want expecting all that much from this place. It's a small place, very clean, but has a cheap feel to it, cheap in terms of a place I wouldn't think about eating at just by driving by, more like a cookie cutter fast food restaurant feel. Almost subtracted a star for this. BUT, the food more than made up for it! I ordered the pasta jubilee and was blown away by the flavors that assaulted me. . It really is that good and tasty, don't know how they do it. Only thing wish they had, and they were pressing the non cheese variety, was cheesy garlic bread! Am sure that would've been awesome, but such is life. Very impressed with this place otherwise, hence five stars. Unsure if will be back solely based on my traveling though will keep this place in mind next time want Italian. Bon Appetit
(5)Lisa F.
Friendly awesome service. Amazing pesto shrimp and chicken dish. I'll be back! Love dining local.
(5)Emily W.
This food is AMAZING!!! We tried the shrimp scampi, twisted Mac and cheese (with REAL thick cut bacon, OMG!!!! - warning: it's a tad spicy but delicious!), the spaghetti and meatballs (the owner hand rolled the meatballs that morning), pasta jubilee (this is incredible!). Even the basic fettuccine Alfredo is amazing! The Caesar salad and soups (tomato spice, broccoli cheddar, and minestrone were all wonderful) and the garlic bread were exceptional as well. We even brought a few picky eaters (my son doesn't hardly eat anything and he devoured his pasta). Don't judge by the fact that it's a small place in a strip mall! This place is FAST and DELICIOUS!!!! 5 stars isn't enough!
(5)Andrew S.
Some dishes are scary good like the chicken Gorgonzola. Highly recommended. Others are so so. They just extended their weekday hours to 830pm which is great. Owner is nice. Service is fast enough. Prices reasonable. Good spot in Longmont
(4)Robert W.
Wow! The soups, broccoli cheese, minestrone, tomatoe, were amazing! The Pasta Jubilee was amazing! Everything was fresh, wonderfully delicious and abundant servings. We drove from California and looked for a good place to eat. The reviews were correct. Don't let the strip mall setting turn you off. The food was AMAZING! I hope they come Los Angeles! Please, investors, find this place and help them take off we need more of this.
(5)Shawn H.
The food was very good, but a bit overpriced. The to go portions are noticeably smaller than the dine in portions.
(3)Drew T.
I'm not one to write reviews of places very often. I either have to be extremely impressed or have a horrible time. This place was excellent. From the large menu and choices to the very good prices. I had the jambalaya and it was amazing. It had a kick and was very flavorful. It was also a very large portion for the cost. For a place we found because it sounded good it did not disappoint at all. We will back if we are in the area again. I recommend trying it if you love modern Italian food or anything to do with pasta, sandwiches and salads.
(5)Jereriah M.
Great food, made fresh after you order with a wide range of flavors and noodle choices. I'm partial to the Jambalaya. A nice kick and a good portion. More than enough to fill me up, but not a massive mound of cheap spaghetti. Also tried the Classico and Veggie Prima: Both great and refreshing. A welcome addition to Longmont and we'll worth a try! The only thing missing is a glass of wine or a local beer to go with my meal.
(4)Jaime B.
Excellent new addition to Longmont! All of their sauces are interesting, and I can't wait to try them all, but we had the following which I can recommend: * Spicy Parmesan - Sautéed shallots, shrimp, breast of chicken, artichoke hearts, and ripe Roma tomatoes in a spicy parmesan cream sauce. This was absolutely fantastic, with just the right amount of freshly made ingredients (it comes with mushrooms but I asked them to be left off, which they were). You can also have this with your choice of pastas. * Twisted Mac N Cheese w/Cavatappi - A creamy cheese blend of cheddar, Asiago, and parmesan with smoky bacon. Unbelievably delicious - and it reheats well! (They're very generous with their portions). Again we were able to choose a different pasta, so that was an extra bonus. * To top it off we ordered a baguette, which came piping hot and ready for us to mop up any errant sauce. I can't recommend this enough!! It's such a small thing, but an awesome touch. Besides all that yum, the staff was fantastic, the atmosphere friendly, and the owner attentive. I only wish they were open later!
(5)Barb M.
The first thing I would like to say is Thank You for having a decent children's menu! I can not tell you how tired I am of paying $5.00+ for kraft macaroni and cheese. My granddaughter ordered the kid's spaghetti and devoured it! My husband had the jumbalaya and really enjoyed it, it came out piping hot and delicious! I had the cobb salad and it was wonderful! The food is fresh and tasted great! I have also been there for lunch with the girls from the office and again the food was great and the service was awesome! The restaurant was clean and everyone was very friendly. I will definitely be back to try more from the menu!
(5)Susanne L.
The menu is fairly priced. The food is good, fresh and a reasonable portion. The service was excellent. We sat outside and never felt ignored or forgotten someone came out regularly to check if any of the outside diners needed anything.
(5)Anna D.
Fresh ingredients, clean environment and good food. I would recommend coming here. I had the veggie prima and house salad. The house dressing is very good!
(5)Courtney L.
Awesome food, the staff was courteous and efficient. They cleaned up as we ate and the food was really delicious! Only issue was that we didn't see any high chairs, would definitely have helped out. Other than that, great food and well worth a visit!
(5)Cole B.
If they clean up the vibe of the inside, and refine their dishes just a bit then they are a great choice. For now its better then the chains but a little bit like a stoned college kid is making the dishes from his parents pantry.
(3)La H.
I'm just loving this place. Been there three times in the past few months. Dishes are every bit as fresh and delicious as a fancy restaurant- not at all like the other "noodle" place. I ordered GF pasta last time and I loved it. It really is a fresh, gourmet meal with the convenience of fast food.
(4)Angela H.
Delicious way to celebrate Father's Day, we loved the variety- vegetarian to gluten free! Excellent service, tantalizing homemade sauces with fresh vegetables. Loved the jambalaya, chicken gorgonzola and the rigatoni puttanesca special. Fast and satisfying!
(5)Lost V.
This place has good food, but it's overpriced. If we pay $26 for lunch, it would be nice if we were served and didn't have to eat with silverware and but drink from a paper cup. Not worth the money, yet it's cooked well. I'm torn on this spot
(2)Mary Elise E.
Fast service, great food, and at a very reasonable price. The Pasta Jubilee is absolutely delicious.
(5)JR A.
Way beyond my expectation. We ordered a mixed pasta ins cream sauce with chicken, bacon and boulder sausage - my wife and I split it! Wow, it was good. Service was friendly, atmosphere pleasant and the owner even came out and talked while clearing tables. He used to manage a Cheesecake Factory in Scottsdale AZ. My wife exclaimed better than Olive Garden. My daughters kids plate was a large bowl of pasta and was tasty, some nice fresh fruit and a drink. We will be back - really enjoyed it for a reasonable family meal with great taste and portions!
(5)Lee P.
Good food, 4 out of 5 for the food. However the staff adds the extra star. Highly recommend if you haven't already been!
(5)Tipton R.
5 star food in a 3 star setting. Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you. This place is truly a gem of a find. I always like to eat at locally owned places and this one didn't disappoint. The Gorgonzola was fabulous as well as the Mac and cheese. Try this one out and you'll be back
(4)Ken B.
Very good "fast", but not fast food. Salads, sandwiches, and of course pasta. They have a nice selection of pasta, sauce and meat (less) combinations you can order. Plus, some specialties and specials. The prices are good for right sized entrees. No mounds of pasta as leftovers.
(4)Mike B.
Dine-in or take-out similar to, but equal-higher quality dishes than, Noodles and Company. New and clean. Dining room with 2-top and 4-top tables seats about 40, with families pulling tables together. Busy on this Saturday night at 6. Really enjoyed the Chicken Gorgonzola signature noodle dish; half-baguette was a good size to share for a small party of 4-5.
(5)Athena B.
I could eat here daily, though I'm sure my waistline would grow daily if I did! My husband and I have a new favorite in town. The food is great, without fail, good enough even our picky toddler gobbles it down. We have done both takeout and dine in... Both are good. Prices aren't McDonald's, but you are getting your money's worth, portions are huge! Try something new each time, I do and haven't found one I don't like!
(5)Ashlea B.
What a great noodle place! They have a huge variety of pastas to choose from also gluten free! The servings are a great size. Sometimes the wait for food can be long but it is worth it.
(4)Michael O.
Upon being contacted by one of the owners of the establishment to try to make things right, I will be giving The Twisted Noodle another shot. These guys truly care about their image and want to deliver delicious food and great service to their customers. I will update and give a full five star review after my return visit to them.
(4)Jim W.
Update: Upon seeing my 2-star review the manager contacted me through Yelp explaining that he actually had emailed the coupon. (he provided the email trail). I went back and checked my spam-filter - and there was the email. Because of that I am revising my unfair review.
(5)Deborah W.
This is a decent place with decent prices. I had the lemon angel hair dish and my daughter had the vegetable soup with a baguette. The food came out nice and hot and looked great. I really enjoyed my dish as it was not heavy and had a great lemon flavor. A lot of asparagus and capers. Would have liked a little more artichoke in there though. My daughter liked her soup a lot as well. The baguette was warm and just right. The only bummer was that I must have dropped my change from the $20 I paid with. Didn't discover that it was missing until I went to Michael's and wanted to pay for yarn with that change.
(4)Jenn M.
Second time got pasta jubilee which was excellent. Fresh and creamy with bacon and chicken. Mmmmmm.
(5)Hilary Z.
Absolutely love this place. So delicious with so many options. And so many gluten free options! Any pasta can be done gluten free except the Mac and cheese. They even have GF bread and desserts!
(5)Dan B.
Some of the best food in Longmont can be found at Twisted Noodle. Anthony, the chef and owner, is passionate about his food, the service, and his customers. I had the Rigatoni chef's special tonight. Anthony simmered it for 6 hours and the taste was marvelous! I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for low cost high quality food.
(5)Stacey K.
Loved my dinner! Clean, friendly and great pasta dishes that compliment those you would get at Noodles and Company. Looking forward to eating here again!
(5)Laura C.
How does this restaurant make food this good? We stopped by for takeout dinner based on the good reviews, but were a bit skeptical when we entered the restaurant. But, when we saw the food and then tasted it, we were blown away! I had the gorgonzola chicken pasta (GF), my daughter had the tomato and sausage pasta, and my son had the mac n cheese, plus we share the spinach salad, which had a nice, fresh, made from scratch dressing. All were fantastic and I have to find out what GF pasta they are using because it's better than anything I've ever bought. The food was so well made, with fresh, quality ingredients -- better than I've had in many white table cloth restaurants in Boulder or anywhere else, for that matter. The food is really, really good - and I'm fussy about my food - and for the price and quality, you can't beat it. We'll be back for sure!
(5)Chip G.
Great food ,great service the twisted noodle does both very well they also do gluten free which makes the girlfriend happy would definitely recommend this place to anyone in Longmont
(5)Jim P.
I've been to the twisted noodle four times and each time the food was excellent. The last time I went I ordered gluten free pasta (rigatoni) with marinara and spicy sausage. I couldn't really even tell the difference as it was some of the best pasta and sauce that I've had at any Italian restaurant I've been to. I would love to see Spaghetti and meatballs added to the menu (maybe it was recently and I just missed it). I cannot think of a single mediocre thing on the menu; that's the sign of a good restaurant.
(5)jason l.
Fantastic! quality that you would normally find at 4+ star restaurants, for a much lower price. Jambalaya was amazing, and don't forget the baguette bread. Service was excellent and friendly as well.
(5)Ken K.
The French bread baguette was amazing, I would come here for the bread alone. And the vegi pasta prima was excellent. The prices are very reasonable and the food is high quality. I have come here on 3 different occasions and it's time this place was excellent. They have daily specials that are very good. This place has fast service and great food. They also offer a variety of menu choices. They probably have around 8 different types of pasta several kinds of desserts soups and salads
(5)Jan C.
Have been in 7 times since they opened. Keep coming back and each meal is as good or better than the last. Anthony and Leo have found a way to serve excellent, fresh, well prepared and delicious dishes in a relaxed nearly "fast food" setting. Got the whole family hooked, and so happy to have them here in our area. Recommend this place to everyone we see. Bill and Jan, Arvada.
(5)Naomi R.
Unbelievably good food! We go every chance we get. Yep, we're hooked. Can't stop telling our friends about it. Amazing sauces and so many delicious choices on the menu. Have had four meals here now and each one was more delicious than the one before. Count on large portions, reasonable prices, and friendly, fast service. They use real dishes and silverware! Pleasant ambiance too. They even clean up after! Can't say enough good things about The Twisted Noodle. And to think, we almost didn't go in.
(5)Kelley Z.
Everything on the menu is great! So happy for a great resturant in Longmont that is different! The Veggie Prima and Tomato Basil Classico are my favorites. You can get gluten free options, whole grain and egg noodles. And shrimp, chicken to any dish you like. YUM!
(5)El G.
Wow. Great food, great price, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere--get in here; this is exactly the kind of place we want to succeed in Longmont!
(5)David W.
Great alternative to the Noodles to break things up. Serving counter service pasta with great flavor. The food was very good. The location is a little hidden. We just wish they had some booths instead of just tables.
(4)Pixie W.
A Diamond in the rough. The food is exceptional. Friendly staff. Can't wait to go back and try something new!
(5)Tabatha C.
OMG, these noodles are good! I had the Pasta Jubilee (Signature dish) which has bacon (thick and still crunchy-no idea how they pull this off when covered in sauce), Boulder sausage, chicken, shallots and a sinful cheese sauce. The presentation, appearance and taste of this dish belongs in a much higher dollar restaurant. It was creamy, garlicy and delicious! The staff was very attentive and anticipated my need for a to-go box before I could even ask. They also checked on me several times. This brings me to the only unfortunate part of the review: the set up. You order at a counter with a drink machine right beside and they hand you a paper cup but later you are presented with a beautiful dish of pasta which looks like it belongs in a different restaurant. There are candles on the tables.... It's just kind of a weird ambiance. I think they could really benefit from a hipper, quirkier decor. Throw in some modern furnishings or colors. I will gladly come back for the food but I I think they would attract more patrons with a more interesting dining room.
(5)Dave F.
I had the best house salad I've ever had in my life. The sheer variety and complexity was amazing. I had the Cajun Pasta while my wife had the chicken gorgonzola. Both were amazing. The Cajun didn't try to kill me with spicy (I don't often eat spicy food) but like other good Cajun I've eaten, the spicy was well balanced with the other flavors. The chicken gorgonzola was rich and smooth with sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and chucks of gorgonzola cheese. They may be in a unit of a strip mall but this is fine dining.
(5)Daniel C.
This place is great. Caesar Salad: 4.5/5 - Little too much dressing, but it tasted amazing. Mac & Cheese: 5/5 - Spiral noodles were delish and the cheese was incredible. My parents ordered it and I had some. Very rich! I would definitely order that next time. Jambalaya: 4.5/5 - The sauce was incredible and the Boulder sausage didn't disappoint. Service: 5/5 - The Manager was great. He was friendly and helpful. The Jambalaya was really spicy for me and my mouth was on fire. I asked if they had milk. They said no, so he went next door and got some for me. Amazing service right? My family both said they would come again as well.
(5)Jason V.
I ordered the Pesto Alfredo and my son got the Twisted Mac N Cheese. A great new joint serving up affordable italian grub! And the place is clean too! This is what Noodles & Co aspire to be. Great job boys! Here's to many years of success. We'll be back!
(4)Karen M.
Wow. 10 stars if I could have had a glass of wine. I had the pesto fredo. Bow tie noodles cooked to perfection, Alfredo just the right level of decadence, not too heavy. Carmen had the arts and olives, yummy! Perfect with half a baguette. Please come and try if you like pasta you're gonna love this place! Out the door with tip$22
(5)Jennifer K.
The food here was delicious! I got the chicken Gorgonzola and my mom got the tuna sandwich. She loved it! The bread that it was on was fantastic and it was much better than any plain old tuna sandwich! The staff were eager to help and very nice. We will most definitely be back.
(5)Bob R.
Wow what a great new addition to longmont great pasta, salads and sandwiches. Staff and owner great service. Home made dressings, great pasta sauces and daily specials. All orders fresh made with the Special orders or changes no problem
(5)Bill K.
Excellent pasta dishes and soups. They have good, fresh ingredients and the sauces are not too heavy. The portions are right, too. Not too much, not too little. And the spicy tomato bisque is delicious!
(5)Maggie C.
Just delicious, great service, fresh. Always greeted with a friendly smile. And locally owned which makes it that much better!!! Great location for when you're hungry and all those chain restaurants aren't appealing anymore! Definitely a good bang for your buck!!!! Not stingy with there food which is the way it's supposed to be. Yummy!! My mouths watering just thinking about them. :-)
(5)Jeffery P.
Good = Great! Really tasty and fresh. I was expecting something like a noodles and co, but it was much better! Atmosphere = Awkward. Kinda like a Chinese restaurant. Nothing much on walls and the decor didn't quite fit. Price = High. I don't mind paying $12+ for a meal at a sit down Italian joint. But for what this place is the prices are too high. Overall = it's a shame because the food is great. But with the price the way it is I would much rather go to a sit down restaurant with a better atmosphere.
(3)Robert R.
Found this place a couple of weeks ago and finally visited it. Am I glad that I did. Very small (10 tables) but very nicely decorated. Very clean and even when busy the tables are bussed as soon as someone leaves. When I walked in I looked at the food others were eating and it all looked very good. I had the chicken Gorgonzola and it was the best I have ever eaten. The only reason this was not five star is because it was the first visit and I am sure that after a few more visits it should be a five star.
(4)Melissa Z.
Blown away! My husband and I just got done eating here and I had to come and yelp it right away. We moved to Longmont about 6 months ago. We discovered quickly there is not good Italian here. It seems the niche out here is Mexican, burger joints, and other fast food chains. TN popped up on yelp and we knew we had to try it. Everyone was super friendly. They welcomed us when we walked in and wished us well as we left. They checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was working out. They cook all the dishes in separate pans, so you get a perfect coating of sauce, and the noodles and whatever you order to put in the noodles were cooked superbly. There were some pasta dishes that you could choice from or you could create your own. The flavors were spot on for the Alfredo and the Gorgonzola. The prices were great and the portions huge. Oh, and see the baguette on the menu? Get it. Immediately. It came fresh out of the oven with a heaping pile of delicious butter on the side. We met the owner tonight and he was out and about bringing orders, checking on folks, greeting, the works. Super guy. Needless to say, we will definitely be going back, without a doubt. So many dishes we want to try and might even do take out. Seriously. Go here. Support this local business. You will not be disappointed.
