1st time here. We were moving so we wanted a place that delivers. We chose well. Our order was correct & hot on arrival. The guy who delivered our food was very polite & after I gave him the money, he made change & handed me the food. I looked away to put the food down so I could give him a tip & he was already almost off the porch. We ordered cashew chicken, vegetable shrimp, fried rice & crab wonton. Everything was wonderful. We ordered the dinner option & there was enough left over for another 2 meals. Their plain fried rice didn't have any peas or carrots in it like other places do; just egg & soy sauce & it was light on the soy sauce & it wasn't greasy like some other places we've been. We enjoyed our food a lot. We would come back here again.

This place is amazing. The food is great, the service(delivery) is fast, they're friendly, and the portions are HUGE. They usually are if enough for lunch AND dinner (depending on how much you eat. Also- stay away for dinner, where a family of 4 can eat for around $30-35, but lunch can be had for usually under $20!

Ordered crab cheese wontons, sesame chicken and veggie lo mein. All were great. Delivery was supposed to take 40 minutes and they got the order to me in under 15 minutes, on a Saturday night! An awesome Longmont staple that I've been going to, and will continue going to, for years.

Food tasted like a greasy mess. Looked the same. Posted pictures. This is low quality food with the same amount of care going into it. Probably came from frozen and shelf packages. They may be asian style and have asian employees but this food is far off from what you would expect. Maybe the first mistake was thinking asian food in longmont... it could work and taste good... nope. The only thing i liked about all of the food I got was the 2 chicken wings. They had the most flavor even tho they looked horrible and i was worried about getting sick from them. We ordered a 20$ dinner meal thing where you choose your dishs ect. I dont remember what it was called. But the rice wasnt good. My main dish was like a garlic pork i think was just a ton of peppers and some pork in some nasty liquid type sauce. Eggs rolls tasted like fried eggs rolls i could get from any grocery store. Noodles lacked flavor even tho they looked greasy as hell. The entire meal was a huge let down and the way it looked was the way it tasted pretty much. Slap more grease and call it good i guess? Also the inside of this place is horribly small and sad. Parking is bad if its busy too. The good: They did give alot of bad food to me. They werent greedy on that part and the price was on mark. But the food was so bad I will never pay or go again sadly. Customer service was very good, this guy was busy as hell and doing great with a positive att.

The name of this restaurant is very fitting. Food was fresh. Hot. And delicious. Menu selection was large and had many different options. Portions were large and price was resonable. If you want good asian food. I'd say go here.

We've been looking around for a good chinese place for awhile in the greater-metro-Niwot area. We found Tasty Asia just driving down Main St with our two kids. The food was really tasty. My wife and I got the combo meal, and the soups and poa poa platter were excellent. This was our first visit, and we'll definitely go back again. It had a really nice atmosphere and we didn't feel too bad about having two semi-well behaved kids with us.

Okay, four stars might be a bit generous but as it says, "Yay! I'm a fan." My husband and I even have a little Tasty Asia theme song that we sing when we get ready to order. It is pretty standard Chinese takeout, but definitely better than many others in town. They are very friendly and the servings are huge and inexpensive. They have pretty sweet cheap lunch deals. We like it.

This place is just a shade above average for a Chinese Takeout. The prices are average as well. The dining area is perhaps two or three shades above average, but I've yet to try it. I test places like this by ordering Kung Pao Gee Ding w/ Hot and Sour Soup. If they don't know that means "Kung Pao Chicken" it's a danger flag. The order taker I had when I visited in person didn't know. The dish and the soup were OK, so I ordered out a few other times. The General Tso and other combo dinners/lunches I tried were OK also. Portions were typical for a restaurant of this type.

Best Chinese in town in my opinion. Small dining area, but food is good for small groups. Try it.

They show care in their dishes, meat is tender and not fatty, when getting takeout they separate they crunchy foods like sweet and sour pork from the sauce so it does not get soggy. Soup was good, egg rolls crispy (just rolled thin), the best part is the crab cheese wonton. Portions are huge, rice is ok too. Nothing to complain about here, the only reason this does not get more stars from me is I love Chinese food and the sauces could have more flavor

Best take-out/delivery Americanized-Chinese food I have ever had. They offer extremely quick service during the week. I suggest the Mongolian Beef, Sesame Chicken, and the steamed pork dumplings.

Best Chinese in town. I've been going to this place since it opened, the staff know me by name and greet me anytime I walk in... that says alot because I don't actually dine in very much. I usually order out and delivery is super fast, This place is certainly for the picky eater who may want sweet and sour chicken but no veggies or excetera :)

The quintessential "hole in the wall" Chinese place. The food is great, fresh, seriously BIG portions! The dining area is small, maybe eight tables, but the owners really do everything they can to make you happy. We go at least once a month for over a year, and we have never had a less than stellar experience. The sesame chicken is awesome, and you have got to try the Pu Pu Platter, it comes out with a tiny grill, and we had a ball roasting all of our food! If you're in Longmont (or even if you're not) definitely check out Tasty Asia!

Second best Chinese food in Longmont Which is too bad. The food often tastes of whatever fish was cooked in the pan before it, often shrimp or fish. Sometimes it is perfect, sometimes your beef tastes like the catch of the day. I'd give this 2 instead of 3, but their delivery people are invariably nice and their prices keep me coming back even though it's a dice roll on the fish flavor. I wish I knew of something better in Longmont.

I got the Mongolian Triple Delight. I have to say that it was just ok. There were waaaaay too many onions in it. Actually, there were more onions than meet. I picked out the onions and it filled the rice container to the top. I'm a little disappointed. What was left was pretty good. For the price...not worth it.

The only reason this place gets 2 stars is the speed of the delivery. Ordered sweet and sour shrimp and pineapple chicken. They totally have the names of these dishes wrong it should be called sweet burnt shrimp and just pineapple. The batter on the sweet and sour shrimp was burnt to a crisp and the pineapple chicken had very little actual chicken in it. I would pass on this one guys

For Chinese takeout, this place is solid. After a long day of moving into our new place, the last thing we wanted to do was cook. We ordered from Tasty Asia and were pleasantly surprised! We got General Tso's Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein, and some kind of appetizer variety plate, and all were quite tasty. Delivery was free, which was a plus, and it was fast - no more than fifteen minutes passed between placing our order and receiving our food. We will definitely be back!

I don't know what it is about Asian food in this town but it all seems to come from the same source and taste pretty much the same. Tasty Asia isn't bad at all, but I'm looking for some creativity in the kitchen, some authentic Chinese cuisine, something to test my American palate that it's thus far spoiled with the overly sweet festival style westernized Chinese menu. Here you find the same options as anywhere else, executed the same way; no unique house specialities, no daring concoctions. If you want the safe, tried and true array of Americanized Chinese dishes then you will like Tasty Asia. I'll keep looking for something different.

My husband and I tend to enjoy Asian takeout a few times a month. We just moved back to Longmont and needed a quick meal and just so happened the post-man put a menu in our mailbox just in time! The menu does have quite a variety of dishes and not just your typical Chinese takeout. Lots of noodle dishes, which i love. I got the drunken noodles which were great, next time i'd get them a little spicier now that i know their heat levels. Hubs got the General Tso's chicken. He really wanted the duck but they were out. hopefully he will get to try it next time. he got a side of "fried rice" which was not impressive. I hope their dinner orders of fried rice are much better. I will give them huge props for their crab puffs (crab cheese wontons). Most places i've been to i'm disappointed by the lack of krab or even green onions. these had a great filling and their sweet&sour was thick and stuck to them puffs they way it should. we will definitely order these again! We enjoyed it and will definitely order from there again.

This is a good restaurant! It is not fancy, but it is very decently priced, the portions are generous, the staff is helpful & friendly... not sure what more you can ask for from you neighborhood Chinese restaurant. I order delivery from here about once every two weeks and have picked up from here several times. Their delivery is very fast & my food always arrives tasty & hot! I am a big fan of the Beef on Skewers, Edamame, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, Lo Mein, Drunken Noodles & Shrimp with Broccoli. They always want to give me free Egg Rolls; Sadly, I don't like Egg Rolls.. so they always give me a choice of free appetizer, instead. Very nice customer service :) Best Chinese Food for the price in Longmont!

The lunch specials are awesome and the delivery is always great! If you want a real treat though, dine in. Probably the best chinese I've ever had.

I ordered sesame beef and ended up with sezchuan beef. I really can't stand bell peppers, so this left me without dinner. I can't speak to the quality of the food since I didn't eat it, but I won't be ordering from here again.

Good food and fast delivery! Got me through my pneumonia haha. People on the phone are polite and friendly. Food is not the best, and I think it should be cheaper for the quality it is, but it's definitely not bad.

Asian Affair Driving by Tasty Asia countless times on Main Street and receiving coupons in the mail peaked my curiosity. I was able to finally give them a shot one night when the family was in town. We didn't want to cook or drive and pizza wasn't going to do it for us this time. So, I decided to mention this place. The fact that they deliver sealed the deal! There is a minimum of $12 and a 4 mile radius for that service. We searched through the menu that they conveniently mail over with coupons. This is what we ordered: *Szechuan Eggplant: I loved it since I'm an eggplant kinna gal. I like the spiciness (though I always add more) but I could have done without the other veggies. Mental note for next time. *Egg drop soup & Miso: Didn't try these but they looked fairly standard. *Crispy salt & pepper shrimp: I was a little bummed that it wasn't very authentic. They were headless and I sure like to suck on those (HAH). It isn't like how they prepare it back in Cali (or good Chinese restaurants). Living near the coast sure had it's perks :( *Shrimp with Veggies: We asked for this one spicy. It was okay. Saucy and most likely used bagged frozen shrimp you'd find at... Walmart. * Cream Cheese Wontons: Stuffed wonton wrappers that are deep fried. Hard to mess up. Not bad at all! *Beef & Chicken dish: I had neither but the family enjoyed them. *Chinese Donuts: I knew what I was getting into so I made two orders of this stuff. Thankfully they did a descent job and my kids loved them. *Free Chicken Teriyaki Skewers: I used one of the coupons (with a purchase of $50 or more). It was super dry and lacked any sauce or flavor. Could have gone without redeeming. *Fried wonton chips: Definitely fried. Came with sweet & sour dipping sauce. Everything was good and average, but it wasn't the type of meal that makes you want it again. I don't think I'll be back. Tasty Asia might be a restaurant other people may enjoy since there aren't very many places like it around. Key word, DELIVERY!

Grilled Pork Vietnamese Noodle Bowl -- The pork was reminiscent of a piece of shoe leather with grill marks on it. There were a couple of bean sprouts hidden underneath the noodles and the sauce was watered down fish sauce with a tiny bit of siracha on the side. No cilantro, no mint and no lime was anywhere to be found. Beef Satay-- the beef was tender and fairly tasty but the sauce was unlike any satay sauce I have ever had; this was just dark and murky with out any hint of peanuts, coconut or chile in it. A 5 year old with a Vietnamese/Indonesian Cookbook for Dummies could have done this food better. Maybe their straight up Chinese dishes are worth a shot but I am not holding my breath.

If you have to. If you have an extreme craving for Americanized Chinese. Then, okay. But definitely do not opt into any of their "Thai" options. Pad thai? Gross. Green curry? Liquidy and full of questionable chunks of whatever is supposed to be chicken. Definitely had to eat around that. Also... the tomatoes in that curry seemed out of place. General tso and sesame chicken type of stuff? Okay. If you're craving it that much, it's okay. Not the best pieces of chicken, but it'll do for a craving.

Came here for a lunch on a Friday - fairly busy but good service, tons of food for the low price and another good experience. Don't come expecting fantastic, authentic food but if you are in the mood for "Americanized Chinese" food, give them a lunch shot.

We've tried all the Chinese takeout we could find in Longmont, and once we found Tasty Asia we've been ordering from here ever since. I ate in the dining room once, and the experience was pleasant. The service was fast, our food came out quickly, and the restaurant is nice enough. Our repeat visits are all in the form of delivery and takeout orders. Every time I've ever walked into the restaurant, the staff have been on the phone taking orders. Takeout bags are usually stacked up next to the registers waiting for customers to arrive, while others fly out the door into cars for delivery. Deliveries have always arrived within an hour, still hot, and definitely delicious. Each dish is easily enough food for two whole meals, and with the large menu it's impossible to order just one dish.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
