This place continues to improve with the addition of outdoor seating and now beer. The menu is varied and can accommodate almost any taste. Tonight we had prime rib for $13.99 and it was spectacular for that price. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly. It pretty unassuming but the food and service are a great value.

Really tasty! I wanted breakfast food at 4 pm, and they have it all day! Fresh pies and other desserts, too. Really good. We will be back.

We love this place. Food is good, comfort food, not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination. Service is prompt and friendly Servings are very generous. I'd call this home cooking like grandma used to do. One caveat. We were seated in a booth with a view of the kitchen. One cook had no hat, no gloves and was on his phone pretty constantly. I hope this was an isolated incident and that management would have corrected this.

Excellent food and service. Our first time in. Cozy diner feeling with a very friendly and attentive staff. Fresh food. Will definitely be back.

Terrible service! The first restaurant I've ever walked out of! We were seated and served drinks and then after that completely ignored. We say there for 20 minutes waiting for our server to take our orders. As we did so, we watched another family arrive, sit down and get served before us even though we were long before they were. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I love goodfellas. I eat there often. I would have given them 4 stars except that I just had a bad experience there. I ordered country fried steak and eggs, to go, with the eggs done over medium. When I got home, I found that one of the styrofoam boxes had a hole burned through it; and when took a big bite out of what is usually delicious eggs, I not only found that my eggs were severely underdone, but I also bit into an eggshell. I called the store and he offered to make me more eggs, but after having the not even cooked egg whites and egg shell in my mouth, more eggs were the last thing I wanted. He said I should be more specific next time and say "over medium with the whites done". Sorry? Isn't that the difference between over easy and over medium? This really disappointed me.

Breakfast is served all day and I got a Haystack (eggs, cheese, hashbrowns with ham but I substituted bacon plus toast). It was pretty good-not great but not awful. The hashbrowns were pretty tasteless & kind of oily but the rest was normal/good for a breakfast place. I must say the service was FAST! I also ordered a Caramel Frappuccino (I guess Starbucks has not sent them a letter yet) and it was tasty. The waitress was nice and the place appeared to have a bunch of regulars. The wait staff seemed to know everyone and hugs were given out regularly. A perk for parents-there was a guy handing out balloon animals for the kiddies. I'd probably go back.

Went back there today got there a couple minutes after 11. We where seated right away tea was good for (unsweet). Ordered the biscuits and gravy and ultimate burrito. OMG that was the worse biscuits and gravy I have ever had. the burrito was smothered had an ok flavor but was way to spicy, Ulcer so I try and avoid spicy food more then just mild. Had a waitress that pretend to be a manager and came over and then just toke the biscuits off the ticket and still charged for the inedible on the ticket. Then when she went back to the kitchen she was talking crap. we where seated in line of sight of the kitchen. I live about 5 blocks from this place and will never go back !!! Only good I can say is that out waitress was great and that the dining area was still clean. An idea of the level of bad on the biscuits Waffle House has better Biscuits and better Gravy!

This place is just an average diner. Nothing special to it except that it is locally owned ( the reason for the third star). I ordered a waffle with an egg and sausage patty. The syrup and butter came in disposable plastic containers with lids on them. That was somewhat awkward. My sausage was raw in the middle and my egg was not cooked the way I had asked. The servers were nice however we had three or four different people serving us which resulted in the same questions being asked two or three times. That's annoying. There are several other breakfast diners that do an outstanding job in Longmont so I probably won't come back to Good Fellas.

We needed a desert fix and Good Fella's came to the rescue! Located in the old Village Inn location in Longmont, the place is completely renovated and provides an appetizing atmosphere. We will definitely be back for breakfast or dinner!

Meh. That sums it up, frankly. Nothing special here. I hate writing reviews like this for local places, but it's just the facts. This is one of those 'Cosco' restaurants. Big huge food distribution companies have 'packages' that allow people to open a restaurant by checking off the box. They then deliver low cost food in quantity to these low/middle quality places by the thousands across America. It's why you can get a meat filled omelette for $5-6. The quality of that 'meat' is more than a little suspect. Another way to tell if it's one of those "Industrial Food" kind of restaurants is to take a look around and do a quick estimate of the BMI of the average customer. I would give this place an average of 33-38. (over 30 = obese). It was not pretty. Anyway, this is one of those restaurants. Clever name, though. I'll give them that. Rating wise, it's a 2 star place for quality, BUT, the service (at least for me) was excellent. Waitresses really do care and they rock it. So that's worth a star, giving them a 3. Will I go back? Unlikely. Would I refuse to go if a friend wanted to meet there, no, but I'd try to get them to try City Cafe, Leenies or a dozen other 4-5 star places (Longmont has plenty nowadays) instead.

Ugh!! Went here for a late lunch today.. First off, the fries were disgusting!! They were by far the worst I've ever had! The "cheesesteak" consisted of steakums.. BARF! Seriously, it's 2013, if your still using uber processed filler meat for your sami's, you should resort to franchising a subway! My lunch partner got a burger that he had sent back multiple times. Over-cooked, bacon burnt, served on sliced bread instead of a bun.. WTF!?! But wait it gets better, I got uncontrollable diarrhea 5 min after I left the restaurant. I will never return to this establishment!!! Ps... There was a woman sitting behind us drinking the coffee creamers on the table. kids screaming and running around. The place was filthy too.. Makes for a trashy ambience! Where's Gordan Ramsey when you need him?!?!

Not substantially different from the restaurant that was in that location before. The menu is not as italian-themed as you'd expect from the sign and the name, the food is perhaps a cut above hospital cafeteria, and the waitstaff were every bit as eager to be there as the staff at the vi were. The prices are comparable to other more vibrant restaurants in the area. This may all be a matter of a new place getting their feet under them, and I will certainly give this place another chance. And if it is better, I'll review again. But if they don't perk it up - the staff, the food quality, the menu in general - they're not going to be there very long.

Breakfast was served by Kari, complete with the requisite green crayon. The adventure continues!

I wanted to like this place. I was hoping the cute, nice waitresses would bring me delicious food and fresh homemade jams and baked goods. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The food is ok, the jams are made with high fructose corn syrup and that homemade, down-home feeling just wasn't there. It wasn't bad, the pie is actually very good. If they bake and make pie why do they have butter in packets and smuckers jams? Would your grandma do that? I really think more fresh local ingredients would do the trick. Not to mention a lady was refilling the Ice tub (the Ice that goes in YOUR glass) with a bus tub (the black ones that are used for dirty dishes). I've worked in restaurants and that is grosssss. The heart is there-- the fresh local ingredients and as a result that homemade taste wasn't.

My husband and I decided to try this newly opened restaurant. We walked in to Goodfellas and noticed a new color scheme from vi but it still had the funky, stale vi odor. It was Sunday evening about 6:45pm. There were only about 8-10 parties in the entire place. We noticed an over abundance of staff. There were at least 6 waitstaff and 3 bussers. We sat In a booth and I had a view of all the crumbs that were under the counter. You would have thought that a couple of staff could have been cleaning. One of the bus staff was wearing an Aunt Alice's t-shirt which I thought was strange. When I opened my silverware it was dirty. I used my husband's since he ordered a hamburger. His knife was dirty but the fork seemed to be ok. My husband liked his burger. I had a cheesesteak and it was flavorful and on a good bun. The fries were good diner fries. Our wait staff was responsive and nice. My rating is low because of the dirty floor under the empty counter and the dirty silverware. And they need to clean the ventilation system to get the funky smell out.

Where to start?! Excellent and happy service, large portions, relatively cheap menu items, breakfast all day! What more could you possibly want? Try the ultimate burrito. It's a burrito the size of a small child and will definitely fill you up enough for breakfast and lunch. Their special days are nice too. Wednesdays are free pie days.... FREE...PIE... WHATS GOING ON. My mouth waters just thinking about it. I love this place and would come back every day if I didn't mind my BMI being triple digits. (I mean that in the nicest way).

My husband and I went to Goodfellas around 10:30am on a Saturday. When we arrived, the place was packed and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot and humid, and I found myself wishing we'd gone somewhere else. We got our drinks quickly, but the waitress didn't come take our order for a long time. The menu isn't all that extensive, so it didn't take us long to figure out what we wanted. When the waitress finally came to take our order, my husband asked if he could get over-easy eggs with the special instead of scrambled eggs, but the waitress said, "We keep trying to get them to let us do that, but they won't allow substitutions." While we waited for our order, I went back out to the car to get something (around 11am), and I noticed that the lobby didn't have people waiting anymore, and even the parking lot had empty spaces (we'd been hard-pressed to find one when we arrived), so we must have arrived right at the peak time. The food took ridiculously long. I had thought about ordering the German pancake, but the menu said "allow extra time," which I didn't want to do. But it took so long to get our order anyway, I found myself thinking I might as well have ordered the pancake. But then the waitress brought one out to the table next to us, and I was suddenly grateful that I had not. The pancake was on a plate that was much too small for it, and it draped over onto the waitress's hand. Once she put the plate down, the pancake draped onto the table. Eww. Finally our order arrived. I got the "ultimate breakfast burrito" and my husband got chicken fried steak with over-easy eggs and home fries, and with a biscuit and gravy on the side (see the photos I uploaded). My burrito was kind of bland, and though I'd ordered it with sausage (you have a choice), it had chorizo instead. The combination of gravy and green chili was a little odd, but not bad. The gravy was spicier than I'd like, but my husband liked it. Overall, my burrito was okay, but nothing special. My husband really liked his chicken-fried steak, and he commented that the eggs were done perfectly. The home fries were slightly overcooked. He said his biscuit was okay, but not the best. His toast was cold, and came (skimpily) pre-buttered in the middle only, with no additional butter on the table. Couldn't get the waitress's attention to get more. My top compliment on this restaurant was that the hostess was extremely bubbly and friendly. I liked her a lot. If I went back, I'd probably give that chicken-fried steak a try. But the restaurant was just so hot, the service so bad, and the food so mediocre, I probably wouldn't go there again unless my husband really wants to.

I didn't actually eat because I was invited to a family luncheon at the last minute and had already made plans for a little later in the day so knowing I was going to eat lunch just a few hours after meeting my family I choose not to eat, just visit so my review is through them based on their thoughts of the food, and the few things I did take a few bites of. The building itself is an Old Village Inn, the inside is cute, modern and clean, much nicer than the old VI. Service was great, we had several servers and got everything we asked for asap. My grandma got 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast, only $4.95.....she ate it right up, but she is 85 so I don't really think she cares. She is just happy to be out and about :) Other items ordered: biscuits and gravy - got "it's ok, I have had better" shrimp taco's - got "they have no flavor, really bland" chili rellenos - got "it's ok, have had better & a little overdone on the cheese" there was a lot of cheese! I did have a bite and I thought it was pretty good actually, good flavor, a little spicy, if I was to go back I would probably get this unless I was afraid of the amount of cheese. They do serve breakfast all day. They do have a very large selection of items from Italian to Mexican to breakfast to steaks & potatoes.... The restaurant itself was busy, prices seem normal. Breakfast from $5-8, lunches from $7-11, and dinner such as steak or some of the chicken fried steak items etc from $9-14. They also had several dessert choices, several pies etc. We did have a cinnamon roll, it was served warm. Its was ok. I would give it another chance if someone else was to pick this place, otherwise I know of better places in Longmont, so it wouldn't be my first choice.....

Great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They really cover all grounds and for an awesome price. I think it is a huge step up from the old village inn are you kidding me? The desserts alone kick butt! I love the new décor and updates and it is in such a convenient spot I will be coming back often. The philly was yummy, and buffalo burger was too. It is a newly opened restaurant they haven't even been open a month. There are always some details that need to be ironed out. Give em a break people! I did enjoy the Goodfellas quotes though :) "I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown?" " Am I here to amuse you?"

I ordered the French toast and was cold and a little soggy. The serves was good and the place looked really new and fresh. I will be back to try it again.

Havent eaten there yet but all I can say is, "Now go home and get your fucking shinebox!" Lots of guys from the old "neighborhood" in NY wouldnt be thrilled to know that a whitebread restaurant in an even whiter-bread town is using a term of endearment they used quite seriously back then. Nonetheless, short of a couple obligatory silly phone calls they deserve, I wish them buon fortuna!

Could have just been a one off, but I had a pretty bad experience here. Came in for breakfast, was seated pretty quickly. Table was a little sticky, not big deal. Ordered coffee, "Homemade corned beef hash", and eggs over-hard, and pancakes. Coffee was really bad. I am not too picky with my coffee, but this was REALLY bad coffee. Not like crappy gas station coffee, it was one of those where you wonder what they mixed with it to make it taste so bad. Next is the meal. Eggs were over easy, but this is something I am used to. Most cooks do not understand how to make over-hard eggs. Corned beef however, was crappy goopy canned hash. No worries, they have Cholula and salt. I actually don't mind it, its just not what's on the menu. While eating the eggs I get a chunk of shell the size of a quarter. I mean it was a lot of egg shell. At my wife's insistence we bring it up with the waitress, she apologized and said she would tell the cooks and comp us something. I wasn't expecting anything, so I was happy about that. The pancakes were ok. Were waiting for the check, and watch the waitress nervously poking at the machine and looking around for a good 10 minutes. She comes over to our table and very quietly apologized and said all she could take off was one coffee. Guessing that they weren't going to comp anything and she felt bad. She was great, but overall the experience was one that left me with a very bitter taste (moreso than the terrible coffee taste). All in all I'll not ever be going back. The food that wasn't full of eggshells or really bad tasting was mediocre, the staff was nothing special, the tables were a little too crowded, and the atmosphere was just not there.

Tonight was our first time for dinner. The menu is quite large and this reminded me of the diners I grew up with on the east coast. The restaurant was very busy and everyone was extremely friendly. The service is very good and attentive but not overly so. It's clean and well taken care of and I had the feeling there were quite a few regulars tonight. Our food came out quickly, and it was very good, and quite inexpensive! Bonus: it is "Free Pie" night! We were so full from dinner that our waitress Shana boxed up our pie to take home with us. We can't wait to try this place for breakfast. I think this will become a regular spot.

Don't bother with this place! The food was disgusting! Plus they took to long to get our food out. We saw that others were waiting who had been there before us. Save your time and money!
