Was out driving around in Longmont Colorado one day when I stumbled across this great little place. Good food and very nice people that seem to work there. Ham and cheese omelet and ranch potatoes were cooked just right. First time I had ever been there, and for sure will make the drive again to go back.

I have written to the corporate office, and will state my complaint here as well. You don't have real butter and real maple syrup as an option? I don't eat frankenfood with unpronounceable ingredients. Margarine is bad for you, as is high fructose corn syrup. When I mentioned this to our server, we were told to complain on the company's website and that management doesn't listen to employees. That's another issue. If you want to find out whether or not your customers are happy, listen to the people who serve them their food. Bottom line, the food tastes like Sysco stuff. It's not horrible, but there are certainly many better options. We won't be back.

The Egg & I has always been my breakfast place of choice when I visit Longmont. Any dish with hollandaise sauce is amazing. My wife has an allergy and the staff was helpful to accommodate her even though it seems outside their expertise.

Let's face it, there's nothing here that you can't make at home for less money. However, if you are not at home then you can get fairly good home-cooked meal from this chain restaurant. My favorite is the pumpkin waffles with crispy bacon. However, these are only available during certain seasons. Other than the pumpkin waffles, I love the ranch potatoes with green chili and crispy bacon. Add in some English muffins or sourdough toast and I am a happy camper. The service at this Egg & I at Longmont is very good; however, ask for Erin as she's the best and a trainer for the corporation. Avoid Rick at all costs as he is awful and has a major chip on his shoulder and an attitude problem. The GM is fairly new but really good. Enjoy!

This place is a quick hop from where I live so my person and I go once every couple of months when we want a real breakfast but I'm not prepared to throw together an omelette. I'm a fan of some of the Greek Frittata and the Spinach Bacon Omelette and the Athena Scramble. Their service is . . serviceable and the coffee is exactly what you'd expect at a chain and plentiful. This place does the trick.

I eat here often with my father. They are very friendly and take extra care with my Dad, who is 91 and a bit picky. This is breakfast at its best with your own pitcher of coffee and tea water. You can choose from several types of coffee. The strawberry, walnut and banana waffle is my favorite. They warm your syrup, and it is awesome.

Service was great... all wrapped up by a delicious breakfast. Started with the Almond coffee... thanks to the servers help. If you get tired of plain old run of the mill coffee... give it a try! (They also have about 4-5 other options to choose from.) Got straight to business with the signature omelet (ham, sausage, bacon, onion, port mush and tomato's)... Served with ranch potatoes and fruit ( which i substituted for the choice of toast or English muffin)... I also got a plain waffle ( comes w/ butter and warm syrup and is dusted lightly w/ powder sugar)... PRETTY GOOD STUFF! The omelet was made with just the right ratio of egg to 'stuffing'... which is always good in my book.... So many places use to much egg to make up for the lack of anything else... and lets face it, if i wanted scrambled eggs... i would have gotten scrambled eggs LOL. Now on to the sides... The ranch pots were absolutely delicious. A great spin off of your traditional home fries or fried pots that are typically served with your breakfast. Fruit was fresh and varied! The waffle was also very good... it's fair to say i left very full and satisfied! Wrap-up: As i said... Good food + GREAT service = a great dinning experience! Which intern ='s a very satisfied guest + A NEW REGULAR. :D

I think I ordered something called a Santa Fe, it was a tortilla with chorizo, eggs, potatoes and a whole lot of other stuff. It was pretty good. I would come here again if I were in Longmont. It cost about $8. Waitress was friendly. They give you a pot of coffee when you order a cup. It is a step up from a Perkins or Denny's, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Always busy! Cambridge Skillet is delicious! Service is decent for how busy it is.... however it is SUPER annoying when all of the food runners and multiple hostesses crowd around the host standing gossiping. I'm sure you people have SOMEBODY to serve..... you are, after all, at work.

Spectacularly unimpressive. Overpriced, tiny portions, poor service, uninformed servers and boring food. The 3 egg omelets are made from a pre-made and purchased mix, not 3 eggs. God knows what is in that mix, because it doesn't taste like 3 eggs (and if you have food allergies, beware, none of this is mentioned on the menu, I only found out because it tastes wrong and I asked). For top dollar i should be able to get 3 real eggs. Unable to substitute items that are the same price on the side dishes menu. If one item is $2.99 and comes with the dish, and another item is $2.99 and doesn't, shouldn't I able to substitute one for the other? won't be back, there are LOTS of better breakfast places in town.

Wow, where do I begin. First, this place has a very limited menu. That had no lactose free milk products so don't visit if you can't have dairy. I had a waffle. It was mediocre at best. Im not really sure how you have mediocre waffles, but some how they managed. The menu is pretty limited. Definitely won't be going back.

Ok before I start. I love the food here. The bacon, ranch potatos, eggs, toast, huevos rancheros, french toast and coffee are all phenomenal! Everything is cooked to perfection. I decided to only give them 4 stars because once I asked for a small order of ranch potatoes, and a small cranberry juice and When I went to pay I noticed I was charged for a large order of each. The employees and managers responded to this by showing me both the large and small sizes of each glass and plate. My argument : how did I know that I didn't get small sizes? I am not an expert on your plate/ glass sizes. Neither of which are so large that it's unmistakeable which size is which. Long story short they charged me 3.49 instead of 1.99 for the potatoes, and 2.49 instead of 1.19 for the juice. If your order looks a little large, ask your waiter if you got the right size.

Egg & I is the best breakfast place in all of Colorado. The people are friendly and welcoming. The service is perfect. The food is out of this world. I looked at the menu and it took me 10 minutes to pick one dish because they all looked delicious. I opted for the Santa Fe Juevos with Chorizos. It was excellent. The coffee wakes you up and, the atmosphere is friendly, fun, and social. I'd go here everyday for breakfast if it weren't so far away from me.

After discovering most of the diners we were interested in were closed for Sunday brunch, we decided to head over to the Egg and I, a place with a funny name and that we had passed several times. My husband got the eggs benedict - they have several interesting sounding varieties, but he got the standard. He said it was fine, but that the sauce was pretty bland for a hollandaise. I got the wisconsin scrambler - basically scrambled eggs with (allegedly) 4 kinds of cheese served with their ranch potatoes. The eggs were seasonless and flavorless, I ended up adding salt and covering them in their i-ya-ya hot sauce and still only ate 1/3rd of them. The potatoes are actually pretty good though, the sausage was a typical patty - I had been hoping it would be scrambled with the eggs, but no dice. The staff is very friendly, though, and we were seated quickly considering the time we arrived. They do a good business and seemed pretty busy. It seems like a pretty safe place to bring guests with dull taste buds, like maybe my mom who can't stand a single flake of pepper without a full glass of water to wash the heat down. Overall the experience was mixed, I mean, we did eat, we didn't get ill, whatever, but it's not really "on the list" to come back to in the future. Unless my mom visits, I guess.

It wasn't bad, it just wasn't special...and no coffee drinks (I've come to really like a latte or chai with my Sat. breakfast!). They did handle hot tea properly, which is worth one star, bumping them from two to three--they provided a largish insulated pot that kept the water hot so that when I had my second cup it was actually drinkable. Huevos Rancheros were tasty but not as good as Le Peep's--very average salsa (can you say "Pace"). Very limited side selections--my kids like to order bits of all their favorite breakfast items--a bit of bacon, a bit of sausage, a bit of biscuits and gravy, a single pancake, etc. But here they had to commit to a complete, already composed breakfast. Wait staff was okay but not outstanding. A good decent place, but Le Peep still has my heart.

Yummy! I came here as part of a 20 person breakfast celebration. They had a separate room so we could do our own thing and not be a bother to the other customers :) The food and service was great! My meal was wonderful. I had the Mexican omelette (chorizo, chilis, onion, cheese, salsa, hot sauce, and green peppers with sour cream on top). It came with potatoes and toast. I love jam on toast and they had so many different kinds! Huge portions and the price was excellent. Everything that was served in my group looked great and everyone was very happy. So many wonderful things to try on the menu, especially the HUGE pancakes and the skillets. Only open for breakfast and lunch. What a wonderful Colorado experience!

Hi- I agree most with Jane's review, it wasn't bad just not great. I ordered a waffle eggpress on the advice of my waitress (waffles over french toast). Waffle- tasty, but lukewarm Eggs- scrambled, and a little runny for my taste Bacon- tasty, but again lukewarm I was really surprised at how quickly my food came out, but then it made me think it was sitting somewhere pre-cooked. Maybe I am just spoiled by my favorite breakfast place, Waffle House where the food is cooked to order (where you can see it) and the all-star special is enough to feed me for 3 meals for $6 Service was great and everyone in the place is SUPER friendly. I just can't say my food was worth almost $8.

DON'T BOTHER. Walked in and the hostess eventually got us seated. That was it. No waitress in sight. Notta one. Nothing. Waited 15 minutes and watched this local walk in and get seated right away. A waitress came out of the kitchen and got him started with coffee and took his order. How rude! We walked out. I don't have to tell you that in this day and age, as a business, you just can't afford to do that. We went to Le Peep next door and got treated very well.

I had a rough encounter with another patron who apparently thought I shouldn't have stepped foot out of the house with my children. The staff handled the situation with grace and kindness and I will be eternally grateful to them for that! The food we ended up taking home was delicious, and the staff not only comped my meal, but helped me to my car and the general manager even offered gift cards for our next visit. I would highly recommend this establishment for their kind and generous staff and the delicious waffles! Thank you so much!

This This rating is for the service! Went there on Saturday morning at 10am knowing it would be busy, but we're usually able to get in. There were 8 of us that morning; 4 adults and 4 kids. I went in to get our name on the list and see how long the wait was and was told it would be 10 minutes. Cool, right? The rest of my party come in and wait on the benches and 25 minutes later we're still sitting there watching everyone that comes in after us be seated. Finally, when we're ready to give up and leave the hostess asks us if we would be okay sitting at two different booths. She says that is all they can do. We say if that is all that there is, then fine; the kids are starving. We end up at two different booths back to back while the the tables in the middle of the room are completely empty and the while people are sitting outdoors on the patio there are clearly at least 5 tables empty there too. What gives? Our waitress comes and we tell her that both booths are together so that we can all order and get our food at the same time, she ignores us and continues getting our orders while another waitress gets the other booth. Our food comes out at different times along with the check! They brought the check with the food! Horrible service, left the waitress $1 tip and told the hostess it was horrible. Food was good. At least the cooks were doing their job right.

This location is nothing like the ones in Las Vegas. The menu is a bit different because I couldn't find my favorite enchilada omellete. I was not in the mood for breakfast so I decided to try the club sandwich and my husband had his usual, eggs benedict. First of all this club sandwich was petite size as was the side of chili, nothing to special at all. My husband didn't seem too thrilled with his either, we did get a waffle to share and that was decent a bit on the crunchy side. I don't think I'd ever return to this location again.

And apparently they serve lunch, too, but who goes to a breakfast place for lunch? I got the WISCONSIN SCRAMBLE. Three farm fresh eggs scrambled with a quartet of cheeses: Swiss, Monterey jack, cheddar, and cream cheese. Topped with green onions. Served with ranch potatoes and choice of toast. Totally yummy. The cream cheese makes it very gooey, but that's all for the best. I ate about half of everything: it was quite filling. Very friendly staff, and fairly fast service. Always a good place to go.

DON'T BOTHER. Walked in and the hostess eventually got us seated. That was it. No waitress in sight. Notta one. Nothing. Waited 15 minutes and watched this local walk in and get seated right away. A waitress came out of the kitchen and got him started with coffee and took his order. How rude! We walked out. I don't have to tell you that in this day and age, as a business, you just can't afford to do that. We went to Le Peep next door and got treated very well.

Was out driving around in Longmont Colorado one day when I stumbled across this great little place. Good food and very nice people that seem to work there. Ham and cheese omelet and ranch potatoes were cooked just right. First time I had ever been there, and for sure will make the drive again to go back.

I have written to the corporate office, and will state my complaint here as well. You don't have real butter and real maple syrup as an option? I don't eat frankenfood with unpronounceable ingredients. Margarine is bad for you, as is high fructose corn syrup. When I mentioned this to our server, we were told to complain on the company's website and that management doesn't listen to employees. That's another issue. If you want to find out whether or not your customers are happy, listen to the people who serve them their food. Bottom line, the food tastes like Sysco stuff. It's not horrible, but there are certainly many better options. We won't be back.

Let's face it, there's nothing here that you can't make at home for less money. However, if you are not at home then you can get fairly good home-cooked meal from this chain restaurant. My favorite is the pumpkin waffles with crispy bacon. However, these are only available during certain seasons. Other than the pumpkin waffles, I love the ranch potatoes with green chili and crispy bacon. Add in some English muffins or sourdough toast and I am a happy camper. The service at this Egg & I at Longmont is very good; however, ask for Erin as she's the best and a trainer for the corporation. Avoid Rick at all costs as he is awful and has a major chip on his shoulder and an attitude problem. The GM is fairly new but really good. Enjoy!

Hmm last time I checked cooks can make good without a computer telling them to. Also everyone at our table who ordered eggs over easy received eggs over hard. Not a great visit.

This place is a quick hop from where I live so my person and I go once every couple of months when we want a real breakfast but I'm not prepared to throw together an omelette. I'm a fan of some of the Greek Frittata and the Spinach Bacon Omelette and the Athena Scramble. Their service is . . serviceable and the coffee is exactly what you'd expect at a chain and plentiful. This place does the trick.

I eat here often with my father. They are very friendly and take extra care with my Dad, who is 91 and a bit picky. This is breakfast at its best with your own pitcher of coffee and tea water. You can choose from several types of coffee. The strawberry, walnut and banana waffle is my favorite. They warm your syrup, and it is awesome.

Service was great... all wrapped up by a delicious breakfast. Started with the Almond coffee... thanks to the servers help. If you get tired of plain old run of the mill coffee... give it a try! (They also have about 4-5 other options to choose from.) Got straight to business with the signature omelet (ham, sausage, bacon, onion, port mush and tomato's)... Served with ranch potatoes and fruit ( which i substituted for the choice of toast or English muffin)... I also got a plain waffle ( comes w/ butter and warm syrup and is dusted lightly w/ powder sugar)... PRETTY GOOD STUFF! The omelet was made with just the right ratio of egg to 'stuffing'... which is always good in my book.... So many places use to much egg to make up for the lack of anything else... and lets face it, if i wanted scrambled eggs... i would have gotten scrambled eggs LOL. Now on to the sides... The ranch pots were absolutely delicious. A great spin off of your traditional home fries or fried pots that are typically served with your breakfast. Fruit was fresh and varied! The waffle was also very good... it's fair to say i left very full and satisfied! Wrap-up: As i said... Good food + GREAT service = a great dinning experience! Which intern ='s a very satisfied guest + A NEW REGULAR. :D

I think I ordered something called a Santa Fe, it was a tortilla with chorizo, eggs, potatoes and a whole lot of other stuff. It was pretty good. I would come here again if I were in Longmont. It cost about $8. Waitress was friendly. They give you a pot of coffee when you order a cup. It is a step up from a Perkins or Denny's, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Always busy! Cambridge Skillet is delicious! Service is decent for how busy it is.... however it is SUPER annoying when all of the food runners and multiple hostesses crowd around the host standing gossiping. I'm sure you people have SOMEBODY to serve..... you are, after all, at work.

Spectacularly unimpressive. Overpriced, tiny portions, poor service, uninformed servers and boring food. The 3 egg omelets are made from a pre-made and purchased mix, not 3 eggs. God knows what is in that mix, because it doesn't taste like 3 eggs (and if you have food allergies, beware, none of this is mentioned on the menu, I only found out because it tastes wrong and I asked). For top dollar i should be able to get 3 real eggs. Unable to substitute items that are the same price on the side dishes menu. If one item is $2.99 and comes with the dish, and another item is $2.99 and doesn't, shouldn't I able to substitute one for the other? won't be back, there are LOTS of better breakfast places in town.

Wow, where do I begin. First, this place has a very limited menu. That had no lactose free milk products so don't visit if you can't have dairy. I had a waffle. It was mediocre at best. Im not really sure how you have mediocre waffles, but some how they managed. The menu is pretty limited. Definitely won't be going back.

Ok before I start. I love the food here. The bacon, ranch potatos, eggs, toast, huevos rancheros, french toast and coffee are all phenomenal! Everything is cooked to perfection. I decided to only give them 4 stars because once I asked for a small order of ranch potatoes, and a small cranberry juice and When I went to pay I noticed I was charged for a large order of each. The employees and managers responded to this by showing me both the large and small sizes of each glass and plate. My argument : how did I know that I didn't get small sizes? I am not an expert on your plate/ glass sizes. Neither of which are so large that it's unmistakeable which size is which. Long story short they charged me 3.49 instead of 1.99 for the potatoes, and 2.49 instead of 1.19 for the juice. If your order looks a little large, ask your waiter if you got the right size.

I looked at the menu and it took me 10 minutes to pick one dish because they all looked delicious. I opted for the Santa Fe Juevos with Chorizos. It was excellent. The coffee wakes you up and, the atmosphere is friendly, fun, and social. I'd go here everyday for breakfast if it weren't so far away from me.

After discovering most of the diners we were interested in were closed for Sunday brunch, we decided to head over to the Egg and I, a place with a funny name and that we had passed several times. My husband got the eggs benedict - they have several interesting sounding varieties, but he got the standard. He said it was fine, but that the sauce was pretty bland for a hollandaise. I got the wisconsin scrambler - basically scrambled eggs with (allegedly) 4 kinds of cheese served with their ranch potatoes. The eggs were seasonless and flavorless, I ended up adding salt and covering them in their i-ya-ya hot sauce and still only ate 1/3rd of them. The potatoes are actually pretty good though, the sausage was a typical patty - I had been hoping it would be scrambled with the eggs, but no dice. The staff is very friendly, though, and we were seated quickly considering the time we arrived. They do a good business and seemed pretty busy. It seems like a pretty safe place to bring guests with dull taste buds, like maybe my mom who can't stand a single flake of pepper without a full glass of water to wash the heat down. Overall the experience was mixed, I mean, we did eat, we didn't get ill, whatever, but it's not really "on the list" to come back to in the future. Unless my mom visits, I guess.

It wasn't bad, it just wasn't special...and no coffee drinks (I've come to really like a latte or chai with my Sat. breakfast!). They did handle hot tea properly, which is worth one star, bumping them from two to three--they provided a largish insulated pot that kept the water hot so that when I had my second cup it was actually drinkable. Huevos Rancheros were tasty but not as good as Le Peep's--very average salsa (can you say "Pace"). Very limited side selections--my kids like to order bits of all their favorite breakfast items--a bit of bacon, a bit of sausage, a bit of biscuits and gravy, a single pancake, etc. But here they had to commit to a complete, already composed breakfast. Wait staff was okay but not outstanding. A good decent place, but Le Peep still has my heart.

Yummy! I came here as part of a 20 person breakfast celebration. They had a separate room so we could do our own thing and not be a bother to the other customers :) The food and service was great! My meal was wonderful. I had the Mexican omelette (chorizo, chilis, onion, cheese, salsa, hot sauce, and green peppers with sour cream on top). It came with potatoes and toast. I love jam on toast and they had so many different kinds! Huge portions and the price was excellent. Everything that was served in my group looked great and everyone was very happy. So many wonderful things to try on the menu, especially the HUGE pancakes and the skillets. Only open for breakfast and lunch. What a wonderful Colorado experience!

Waffle- tasty, but lukewarm Eggs- scrambled, and a little runny for my taste Bacon- tasty, but again lukewarm I was really surprised at how quickly my food came out, but then it made me think it was sitting somewhere pre-cooked. Maybe I am just spoiled by my favorite breakfast place, Waffle House where the food is cooked to order (where you can see it) and the all-star special is enough to feed me for 3 meals for $6 Service was great and everyone in the place is SUPER friendly. I just can't say my food was worth almost $8.

I had a rough encounter with another patron who apparently thought I shouldn't have stepped foot out of the house with my children. The staff handled the situation with grace and kindness and I will be eternally grateful to them for that! The food we ended up taking home was delicious, and the staff not only comped my meal, but helped me to my car and the general manager even offered gift cards for our next visit. I would highly recommend this establishment for their kind and generous staff and the delicious waffles! Thank you so much!

This This rating is for the service! Went there on Saturday morning at 10am knowing it would be busy, but we're usually able to get in. There were 8 of us that morning; 4 adults and 4 kids. I went in to get our name on the list and see how long the wait was and was told it would be 10 minutes. Cool, right? The rest of my party come in and wait on the benches and 25 minutes later we're still sitting there watching everyone that comes in after us be seated. Finally, when we're ready to give up and leave the hostess asks us if we would be okay sitting at two different booths. She says that is all they can do. We say if that is all that there is, then fine; the kids are starving. We end up at two different booths back to back while the the tables in the middle of the room are completely empty and the while people are sitting outdoors on the patio there are clearly at least 5 tables empty there too. What gives? Our waitress comes and we tell her that both booths are together so that we can all order and get our food at the same time, she ignores us and continues getting our orders while another waitress gets the other booth. Our food comes out at different times along with the check! They brought the check with the food! Horrible service, left the waitress $1 tip and told the hostess it was horrible. Food was good. At least the cooks were doing their job right.

This location is nothing like the ones in Las Vegas. The menu is a bit different because I couldn't find my favorite enchilada omellete. I was not in the mood for breakfast so I decided to try the club sandwich and my husband had his usual, eggs benedict. First of all this club sandwich was petite size as was the side of chili, nothing to special at all. My husband didn't seem too thrilled with his either, we did get a waffle to share and that was decent a bit on the crunchy side. I don't think I'd ever return to this location again.

This was the first place I stopped at on my recent trip back to CO with my best friend, Catherine. This is a good little breakfast place. And apparently they serve lunch, too, but who goes to a breakfast place for lunch? I got the WISCONSIN SCRAMBLE. Three farm fresh eggs scrambled with a quartet of cheeses: Swiss, Monterey jack, cheddar, and cream cheese. Topped with green onions. Served with ranch potatoes and choice of toast. Totally yummy. The cream cheese makes it very gooey, but that's all for the best. I ate about half of everything: it was quite filling. Very friendly staff, and fairly fast service. Always a good place to go.

Was out driving around in Longmont Colorado one day when I stumbled across this great little place. Good food and very nice people that seem to work there. Ham and cheese omelet and ranch potatoes were cooked just right. First time I had ever been there, and for sure will make the drive again to go back.

I had a rough encounter with another patron who apparently thought I shouldn't have stepped foot out of the house with my children. The staff handled the situation with grace and kindness and I will be eternally grateful to them for that! The food we ended up taking home was delicious, and the staff not only comped my meal, but helped me to my car and the general manager even offered gift cards for our next visit. I would highly recommend this establishment for their kind and generous staff and the delicious waffles! Thank you so much!

I have written to the corporate office, and will state my complaint here as well. You don't have real butter and real maple syrup as an option? I don't eat frankenfood with unpronounceable ingredients. Margarine is bad for you, as is high fructose corn syrup. When I mentioned this to our server, we were told to complain on the company's website and that management doesn't listen to employees. That's another issue. If you want to find out whether or not your customers are happy, listen to the people who serve them their food. Bottom line, the food tastes like Sysco stuff. It's not horrible, but there are certainly many better options. We won't be back.

DON'T BOTHER. Walked in and the hostess eventually got us seated. That was it. No waitress in sight. Notta one. Nothing. Waited 15 minutes and watched this local walk in and get seated right away. A waitress came out of the kitchen and got him started with coffee and took his order. How rude! We walked out. I don't have to tell you that in this day and age, as a business, you just can't afford to do that. We went to Le Peep next door and got treated very well.

The Egg & I has always been my breakfast place of choice when I visit Longmont. Any dish with hollandaise sauce is amazing. My wife has an allergy and the staff was helpful to accommodate her even though it seems outside their expertise.
