Excellent fresh bagels. Wonderful sandwiches. Very helpful and attentive staff. Broad drink selection ( know what a 'steamer' is?) Coffee: very good. I'll be back. Soon.

I went in today with really high hopes based on the reviews I had read prior. Unfortunately, I was mostly disappointed. I ordered the Santa Fe breakfast bagel on a plain bagel. I like the fact that their eggs are made on a griddle rather than microwaved. The salsa was more like pico and had way too many onions for my taste. Also the pepper jack cheese had no flavor. I also ordered a parmesan bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was good but not great. The cream cheese wasn't even spread on the bagel. It looked like a chunk of cream cheese thrown on and called good. Finally, we tried the huge cinnamon roll! It was the higlight but after 2 half bagels I could barely eat a quarter of the roll. Now the biggest reason I didn't give 4 stars was the service. It was pretty horrible in fact. When I walked in I wasn't greeted by the employee behind the register. And then I stood at the order counter for a couple of minutes while the register girl did nothing and didn't say anything to me. Finally another girl came out and took my order but didn't greet me, didn't make eye contact, and when she asked me a questuon and I asked her to repeat it because I didn't realize was talking to me she seemed annoyed. My last thoughts: I'd go back but only if I was in the area. Better service for cheaper prices closer to my house.

I always get a consistent breakfast bagel here. They have their system down well, better than other locations. They're very efficient, with good quality and thick bacon. Try their bottled mango orange juice!

I came here while B. was having surgery at the facility across the street. (I tend to pass out in such settings so it was better that I left for a bit- and there were no convenient doughnut places.) It was one of the few places open that early in the morning! The place was clean and bright and not too busy, and they had a great variety of bagels. I got a salt bagel, which was like eating a pretzel with cream cheese. Exactly what I needed. What I REALLY liked was the neighborhood surrounding it. It was a kind of self-contained community, with cute shops and businesses and residences within easy walking distance. Such cute houses and tree lined streets! I want to go back to explore when shops are open, and maybe grab a bag of day olds and some cream cheese from Big Daddy.

Newer looking bagel shop with a parking lot in the back. Lots of bagel sandwich options but the breakfast burrito tasted kind of weird with too much peppers.

Yum. This place is good, and great for a quick breakfast or snack. Bagels are crusty, chewy, and delicious; sandwiches are flavorful; and the cookies are humongous and totally delish. The atmosphere is nothing spectacular, but it is well-lit and clean, with some outdoor seating.

I live in NJ, worked in NYC so my review may not be fair to judge Big Daddys bagels. I have to say that Big Daddy's bagels are pretty dam good for CO. they have a slight crispiness on the outside with a nice dough on the inside, this is exactly how a bagel should be. I have tried the poppy, cinnamon raisin, salt, sesame, their version of an everything and a few others. I won't compare them to Einstein bagels which are frozen and then cooked. The only way to make a bagel is to roll them by hand and cook them in water and then into the oven. It wouldn't be fair to compare Big Daddy bagels to NJ bagels (could be the water and altitude in CO) but they are good when I'm in CO. also, try their lox spread and veggie cream cheese, the prices are reasonable.

The bagels are alright...pretty pricey for the quality. It is the rude people that make it eating here a disappointment!

Pretty darn good and It was worth the drive from north longmont for an easy breakfast morning start to our day. Minimal customers on a Sat. mid-morning. Had two different breakfast sandwiches. I've seem some other competitors price them from 5-6 bucks. Big Daddy's bkfast sandwiches were just under $4. Staff was friendly and there were four diff types of coffee flavors to choose from. I'd go back again.

Thank goodness for Big Daddy Bagels. I think they are the only bagel option in town other than Einstein bagels, so they were pretty much guaranteed my business. Fortunately, they make some darn good bagels, and I really love their bagel sandwiches. Yum! Their coffee is good too, so you know I'll be there on a regular basis. Bonus points for the kid-sized table and chair set that my toddler is in love with.

Just exactly what you want from a bagel shop - great fresh bagels, good fresh fillings and friendly service. The Parmesan bagels smell wonderful - be warned if you are driving home with them they may not last the journey as that aroma is hard to resist! Like another reviewer said my toddler just loves the mini table and colourful chairs - nice touch! Most of the time I have had great service there, had a couple of beginners last time though who spent sooooooo looong serving that I was glad there had been no line in front of me. Hopefully they are fully trained by now!

Yes, Big Daddy Bagel-man, you are the one 4 me. There are rare moments when the stars align and everything just comes together - the right timing, the right attitude, the right hunger. My sister and I were in this funky part of Longmont, sort of like PleasantVille meets, well, Longmont. As soon as I saw the tag for salt bagels, we had to go in. "God, again?" my sister whines. She's been through this before. Good, proper salt bagels are incredibly rare here in the western boondocks. Whenever I find them, I just gotta have one. Really good, proper salt bagels are even harder to find. So here's where my love affair with Big Daddy gets good. There are times when the food stars align: right timing, right attitude and right hunger. Any other average bagel person would have just sold me the last 3 salt bagels in the basket, leaving the fresh batch for the next hungry customer. But, to his credit, and to my surprise, Big Daddy actually said "you know, I have a fresh batch coming out." "Really?" I asked. I honestly couldn't imagine that any Colorado bagel bakery would risk cooking a second batch of salt bagels. How long?" I probed. "Three minutes." So, girl, who loves salt bagels, gets to eat fresh, hot bagels right out of the oven. So hot she could barely touch them. Crispy on the outside, like a big, fat pretzel but lighter. "I know you'll be back," my bagel-meister called after me. Yes indeed, you know I will. You're my daddy.

I love that they have Salt Bagels!!! If you like a good east coast style bagel, This place is great!! Granted, It does not have the water of the hudson included... but i'd say it's the closest I've found!!

Great bagels! Nice people that work there

Big Daddy has a huge selection of bagels to choose from and all the ones I've tried so far have been delicious. My favorite breakfast bagel is the Santa Fe - an egg topped with pepper jack cheese, avocado and fresh salsa, all between my choice of bagel. Big Daddy also offers a variety of fresh baked goods (muffins, cookies, etc.,) and their coffee is exceptionally good.

I had been craving a bagel with Lox and found myself here on my way to work. What a great place. It was clean and efficient, which are two things I value for breakfast food joints. The person ringing me up learned that it was my first time in and let me sample their fair trade coffee for free. What a treat it was indeed! I had some sort of "Wake-Up" blend, which was really excellent and really started my day off right! I really appreciate when the service strive to give you a positive first impression The I had my cream cheese and lox on a sun-dried tomato cheddar bagel, which was tasty and the bagel-schmear-lox ratio was perfectrion! I definately reccomend this place!

I LOVE Big Daddy Bagels! They have a good assortment of bagels, the usual suspects...but I think they're especially good. Nice chewy crust, and light inside...delicious! Like Einstein or the others they'll make them however you want, but I love their 4 Corners bagel sandwich...egg, sausage, and a really good green chili cream cheese. A little messy, but finger-lickin' good... They have some excellent salads and sandwiches for lunchtime, too --- The Mesa Salad is my favorite so far. Chicken Noodle soup the other day was very good, I love it when the noodles aren't all mushy...and these noodles were still al dente. I haven't tried their coffee yet, I still get my coffee across the street at Vic's. They do make a killer fruit smoothie, and you can even get protein powder added if you like a protein shake. Lastly, price...they are a bargain. Bagels and sandwiches are less than similar places, and the salads in particular are inexpensive -- especially considering they aren't pre-made, but tossed to order. Breakfast or lunch, you should go!

My test of a bagel place is the Bagel w/ Lox open-faced meal. I had this at Big Daddy Bagels this morning and it was very good and wasn't $10 like everywhere else, only $7.00!!! Very good quality lox and there was nobody in there at 9am, so I had very good service. Look around for coupons, they do a lot of coupon advertising. I fed my wife and child for about $13.00 after tax. There was a little kid table that my 2-year-old daughter was constantly playing on, so kid-friendly for sure. I liked that it was really clean and modern.

I completely agree with the first reviewer's review of BDB. As a resident Prospector I like having a one stop joint like this that has consistant quality and price so close to home. They definately will hive 2 Dog Diner (across the st) a run for their money, literally. My first choice, and my family's for yumminess in Prospect. I am a fan.
