Stopped in for lunch. This place makes a pretty tasty burger, very fresh and dense. Its not In-and-out and shouldn't be compared to them. its a burger all its own and they serve it with a shit ton of fries. word.

FGB&F serves a really good burger and their selection of free toppings make the price a bargain. My "beef" is with their fries and the atmosphere. I like their fries but they offer only one size. Unless you're dining with others and share, you'll end up trashing 2/3 of the order. How about a half order with a commensurate price? Regarding the atmosphere, I can live with the rather sterile dining area. However, the guy yelling out "number 74" or "number 82, you're order is ready" gets old real quick. He doesn't simply call out or announce the order, he yells across the room. I'm part deaf and it still makes me jump. Even using their P.A. system would be better. From now on, I'll grab a burger and drink to go and skip the fries.

Not bad, but doesn't curb my appetite for an in-n-out burger (restaurant theme is the same). For those not from the west coast - it's the best fast food burger for under 3 bucks!! Anyway, I do enjoy all the toppings and it beats the heck out of all the Mc D. style places (I won't even rate those). Visit J-Alexander for the best 10.00 burger in South Denver.

Great burger, nasty fries. I never loved or even liked In n Out when I lived in So Ca and this place is a repeat of that. The burger? pretty decent. The fries, for which they are famous? YUCK. undercooked!!! fries should be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and they were yuck yuck YUCK all around. how are they winning AWARDS for this???? GROSS. Plus it was eleven bucks. Nice folks but food = icky

Seriously meh. The only reason I even ate here is because the Firehouse Subs next door wasn't even open yet and I had 10 minutes to grab something to eat on my way to work. No choice. Five Guys it is. Their burgers come in 2 sizes: "Big" and "Little." The big burgers come with two patties stacked. That's good for beef lovers. The single patty "little" burger was enough for me. It comes on a sesame seed bun and you can add on as many toppings as you want. The taste reminded me of a burger you would get at Sonic or someplace mediocre in the fast food chains. Their fries are seriously overkill. I love potatoes and I love fries. I ordered the "regular" i.e. "small" size cup. Not only was the cup overflowing with fries, they filled the greasy brown bag half full with them. While most fry lovers would find that to be awfully generous I found it to be awfully gluttonous. The fries aren't bad but are a bit too salty for my liking. I ate the fries in the cup and threw away the excess in the bag. It's just a bit too much. I should have gone to Smash Burger instead.

I love the whole atmosphere at 5 Guys with the big vat of peanuts and the bag full of awesome, crispy fries. Service was good at this location, with the cashier asking us how our weekend was going and if we had any plans. I honestly don't like these kind of burger places generally, as I'm very particular about how my burgers are made. Counter places like this just make the burger as well done/rare as they want sand I like mine burnt. However theirs are usually done well enough and are flavorful enough that it doesn't seem to matter as much.

Finally tried Five Guys after hearing so much about this concept. Really fresh food! Loved the burger patties; very high quality and delicious! Toppings were also very high quality. And who doesn't like hand cut fries! On the negative side, they are kind of pricey for fast food when you add fries and a drink. We could have gone to Red Robin and paid a few dollars extra for a tip. All in all, a great product and friendly service...I will be back!

Cashier was super friendly and she explained how thw concept worked with great patience. Great flat topped grilled burgers, phenomenal french fries. And at this location the ability to have a lime-coke or raspberry sprite, and other flavored sodas! I WILL BE BACK!

Open until 10pm, eh? That's interesting, because we definitely walked in at 9:15 and the staff could not have been more rude if they tried. The cashier was extremely short with us, acting completely exasperated and talking down to us as if we were stupid. Love Five Guys, so two stars for the food. No stars for the staff. If your job makes you that miserable and your customers make you that angry, go work somewhere else.

If you are a chain restaurant in a sea of chain restaurants how do you set yourself apart? By cooking your food impeccably and training your employees to have great attitudes. Everyone knows Five Guys by now. Burgers, fries, and peanuts. However, I have had Five Guys in Kansas and Arizona and this location on Lincoln in the Lincoln Commons blows the others away. Their burgers were cooked masterfully, the cheese was melted like a bawse, the fries were crispy (something I can't say about any other location I have visited) and they have the new school Coca Cola machines with touch screens and a thousand flavor combinations. Congrats to the owner/franchisor on a well trained staff, great food and enjoyable experience. We will be back to satisfy our cravings soon.

Ate: Little Cheeseburger w/ "Everything" (including pickles, grilled onions, ketchup, mustard, mayo, tomatoes, lettuce....) Verdict: think "gourmet Burger King".....soggy and sloppy (don't go on a date here unless it's at least the 5th date, just saying) The burger was just okay....probably a tad overpriced for what it's worth. The fresh cut fries are nice though.

Burgers are great, love the cajun fries. Avoid the coke machines. Flavor is never quite right as you get a small blast of the guy-in-front-of-you's grape coke and the people trying to figure it out just creates an unnecessary line. Get a tea instead. Healthier, faster and the flavor is correct.

1.25% PIF tax? Liberals over here have the tax rate at 8%. Only 5% in Highlands Ranch. Great burgers but they won't start the fries when you call in which defeats the purpose of calling in to have it ready. Also there are four guys and one girl; the filth guy is missing but liberal laws probably made them hire others.

2nd 5 Guys I have been to location-wise. The burgers, they are divine. The fries -- even the plain ones -- are pretty good; the cajun ones are better. But there's a reason they are divine -- they are utter Caloric Nightmares and a good 50% of their calories, no joke, are locked in fat. I don't blame 5 Guys -- that's how they choose to roll and I respect them for that; there are many calorically fatty things that taste great. It's a little alarming when you have a full-size burger (read: 2 patties, since a "junior" at 5 Guys in 1 patty) and a *small* fries and end up consuming 1500 calories in 1 meal. Not kidding...I do give them props for putting up nutritional info on their websites. Same great 5 Guys service and help; same awesome multi-flavored multi-drink soda machines (you know, the ones where you can add flavors if you so choose), same peanuts to snack on if you're absolutely ravenous and can't wait 5 minutes for your custom order to complete. It's a shame that on their formidable toppings menu, they don't have fried egg or sliced avocado -- even if they did charge extra for them. I'd shriek in ecstasy like a 60s fangirl at a Beatles show if they did. (Maybe that's why they haven't. 0:) ) I've read some of the rated-average or less reviews here and am left shaking my head. Of course it's not the "perfect" burger place; few places are, even fewer ones that are chains. Some people would never be happy, I think. Yes, they are a little pricey -- but to be fair, it's also pretty monstrous-sized-burgers, especially when you take advantage of the free toppings. And if you don't, whose fault is that? Sauteed mushrooms and peppers on a burger always makes *me* happy...

I happened to be in the area and in need of some food, so I am glad I ran into here for a good bite to eat. Greasy burger and fries were on the order that night...yummy. The price options were kinda up there when considering a 'combo' meal, but I'd visit again. And the manager was quite nice. I believe the manager was helping out with the orders and food prep at the time, so he helped out and that was cool.

I've never understood the In n' Out fervor and I've never been to Steak n' Shake, but I do love Five Guys. The burgers are deceptively big-- I can't finish a "little" bacon cheeseburger. My order is usually a little bacon cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, lettuce, onion, tomato, ketchup, and light mayo. It's great thar you can customize however you want. The Cajun fries are great. My fiancé vouches for the cheese dog. Service at this location is fast and friendly, and the store is busy but they keep it clean. Yep. I'm a fan.

Five Guys is the best substitute for In N Out in Denver. It's not quite the same, but the low maintenance menu and ordering process (and even the decor) remind me of In N Out. The fries are made from freshly cut potatoes (they even tell you exatly where they got them from, it's written on a board near the register). The burgers here are hot and juicy and tasty. I was in yesterday with a fairly large order, six burgers and fries and it only took them about 10 minutes to get it all cooked and bagged up for me.

Four stars since my son absolutely loves this place. I like their burgers, but, oh, would I love a better bun. Please, Please, give me a better bun. Get the Cajun fries...a regular is more than enough for two people.

Food was pretty bad and the staff was rude towards me! When ordering my food the cashier gave me a very rude and annoyed look, like he hated the world! when watching the interaction going on behind the counter as I sat down the manager seemed to be very cruel towards his employees, yelling and barking at them. Five guys is a chain that seems to be spreading across the country like wildfire. This was my first time trying it; And since i don't typically rate chains, this will have to be my stand-in review for the remainder of the locations. First and foremost, it reminds me of In-N-Out Burger. If I didn't know better, I would have said they copied the In-N-Out model and ran with it: - Very basic menu (burgers - doubles and singles, fries, drinks) - Everything is made to order - Relatively low prices - Simple white and red decor But apparently this chain has its origins from a single burger spot in D.C. So who's to say? My burger was good; Tasted like In N Out; They gave me a ridiculous amount of fries, even though I ordered a small; Kind of a waste, since I threw away most of them. My lunch cohorts had the same comment. But again, comparing them to In N Out there's one major difference I noticed: Meat quality As in: Five Guys doesn't appear to do SQUAT. Reminder: In-N-Out focuses on the highest-grade, cleanest beef out there. They even do their own butchering and processing. Five guys, however, seems to just use whatever USDA beef they happen to get. And the term "USDA beef" doesn't mean much in this day and age. I'll stick to In N Out (at least for chain burgers).

You guys do it right every time. The staff is always nice and polite. My burger and fries always turnout to be perfect. I have been to your establishment 8 times in the last year and I will continue to be a loyal patron. Thank you for creating such a delicious burger and fries. Every time I hit the gym I have to work in an extra 15 minutes of cardio because of the amount of fries I devour but I don't mind it a bit.

I was expecting something really special with all the hype. Good burger, maybe supreme to smash, but not the best. I just had a in and out burger in Hollywood Ca and it was fantastic.

It took a couple tries for me to warm up to Five Guys. I think the key is all in ordering right. The first time out of the gate I did the double with everything and a large fries. If you have have been here you know this is enough food to feed 3 let alone just one! So I finally got it right (for me), I order a little bacon cheeseburger (lettuce/tomato/pickle/mustard) and share a large fry. This still over stuffs me, but I am go home full an happy! This one off Lincoln is really clean, the staff is friendly and it is pretty quick. I do think for counter service their prices are bit steep, but that is my only knock. It is good stuff.

I have been to other 5 guys and this is the best one I have experienced. The Fries are amazing! I ordered the small burger with way to many toppings, and it was perfect. Lots of open seating at lunch time. The wait was minimal, about 5 minutes. It is not the best burger, not even close, But it is a quick fix, with minimal wait. The bun needs some work. It is a decent priced burger and fries. The burger was a tad over greasy- but tasty.

I was completely unaware that Five Guys was a chain joint until I happened upon them here in Denver instead of South Carolina where I had originally enjoyed their juicy burger. After scratching my head for a few minutes with a puzzled look on my face, I decided it was time to bite the bullet and support a non-local burger joint. If you have any worries about grease stains getting on your clothes or have arteries that are clogged with all sorts of crap, then Five Guys isn't the place for you. The sheer juiciness of the burger will cause you to wonder just how many calories you'll have to burn off in the gym. Braving the grease is a delicious enterprise and promises you a rewarding experience. In case you hate cow meat in patty form, the standard tubed meat product (i.e. hot dog) is also available with pretty decent fries and free peanuts. Five Guys will never beat my favorites, Park Burger and Highland Tap and Burger, but it's a very, very good secondary option in the Lone Tree area.

On the walls of Five Guys is signage for best-priced burger awards. I feel otherwise. It is a great hamburger, but I think it's a bit expensive. If the price included fries, I would be more on board. Along those lines, if you dine with a group sharing fries is a great idea, as the portions are large (even for a small). Also in its favor, this Five Guys has two Freestyle Coke machines which I do like a lot. Five Guys is good but a little pricey for my taste.

The burgers and fries are so greasy and have very little flavor. The grease also makes things very soggy. I really don't see the greatness of this place. I am not a healthy eater but it just makes my stomach churn! Only remotely good thing is the fries are nicely salted.

I have been to Five Guys a couple times in the past and have never been that impressed. My experience at this location this last weekend was better. The line moved quickly. My order was taken correctly. And they were cool with me having my dogs on the edge of the outside seating area. I think the main reason I have not cared for the burgers here in the past is "lack of choice". Now, your first thought may be, how can there be a lack of choice when there are so many toppings to choose from? The number one problem for me is the bun. I just do not care for this "sweetish" and "wonder-bread spongy" bun they use. And, sadly, it is the ONLY bun option. If they would let you pick a regular sesame bun, or a kaiser roll, or anything else, I would be much happier. Secondly, the only cheese choice is American, which is pretty bland and reminds me of Velveeta. Once again, letting me choose cheddar, or Swiss, or pepper jack would be a really nice option. Lastly, I have had soggy five guys burgers in the past. Something about how ketchup or A-1 absorbs into that sponge of a bun causes issues, and the whole thing disintegrates. I fixed that this time by getting the condiments on the side. The bun sweetness was less cloying than on previous trips, and the bacon added some flavor to the cheese. So, I had an "okay" burger this time (better than the "bad" ones on previous trips). The fries were quite good, and free peanuts are always nice. Also, this location has the new super huge soda choices machine, which is cool as long as the person in front of you is not indecisive.

Best five guys location that I've been too. Burger was juicy, which was a change as the last few I had in my home town (different location) had left me wanting. Busy, but the line was fast. Not bad on the service time (they were busy and we were a group of eight. ) Fries were good typical five guys some of us got seasoned, some plain, more than one person can eat. Even though its a chain we have in MO, I'd go back next time I'm in "Denver".

Hmmmm..... Not too sure where all this hype comes from. First off, it does not compare to In N Out in any way - that's like comparing apples to oranges!! Like really sour oranges to really tasty Fuji apples. The two chains may sell a similar product, but the fries at 5 Guys are dry and disappointing. Burgers are just okay. I wouldn't completely reject eating here again (been twice so far) if someone else wanted to go, but it would never be my first (or second) pick.

Having now tried all of the big three burger spots (In-N-Out, Five Guys, and Shake Shack), I can now say with certainty that Five Guys comes in a distant third. The meat had no flavor, the bun was soggy, blech. I would choose a bunch of other burgers over these any day. So disappointed :( The fries were okay - not crispy but the seasoning salt was good.

This place..rocksmyfaceoff. after burning over 9,000 calories after a day of hiking, I decided to get a bacon hotdog, blt, large fries, and double bacon burger. I have a hard time describing the joy I felt when I bit into the aforementioned edibles. Imagine an eruption of joy in your facehole. Multiply that by pi, and you may come close to my experience. The hotdog was crispy, warm, and blew my pants off. The double bacon cheeseburger gave me a concussion of happiness. The blt was a cacophony of flavors, but mostly bacon, the food of the gods (obviously). The large fries...wow. I pulled a 24oz cup of them out of the bag, only to happily find an extra half pound of the warm crispy sticks of happy inside. Being from Texas, I have never had 5 guys before. And I ask, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE, 5 GUYS?!?!

Burgers and fries, what's not to like. This was one of the greasier Five Guys I have been to and one of the busiest and noisiest but hey, it's burgers and fries.

Simply the best hamburger I have ever had for the price you pay. And don't forget to order the french fries. But more importantly, it made my 2 children happy and they are usually very picky eaters. Now I have a simple restaurant where I can take my family and enjoy a good hamburger and nobody will complain if they are a little noisy and make a small mess.

Great burgers and fries. Our kids loved their hot dogs. They also loved munching on the peanuts. SImple restaurant and good food. Hot the healthiest, but we split their big burger which helps. You can also get a smaller burger.

Great double burger for 6 bucks. Food is excellent, service is fast and friendly. Skip the large fries and get the small fries, more than you can or should eat. Why people compare this to In and Out I am not sure. You really can't go wrong eating here. Staff is friendly and service is fast.

Most definitely one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. Freshly made ground beef patties makes all the flavor difference in the world. I used to be content with a pre-made frozen patty, but trust me...it's like night and day. You can order your beef-ilicious burger with a variety of toppings and I don't care if you are training to be a sumo-wrestler, a small order of fries will be more than plenty. (I was quickly corrected by the cashier when I tried to order a large fry for the four of us to share, he brought me to my senses and put us down for a small. It was the perfect amount for the wife and two kids.) Nothing beats the taste of freshly cut fries! These Five Guys definitely have it right!

This place was decent. I don't understand the burger and peanut combo. They just don't go good together. The toppings didn't have that fresh taste. While they pride themselves on the fries, they are way over cooked and dry. If you are looking for something comparable to In n Out, this is not the place. If you have the option if In n Out or Five Guys, pleas for the love of Pete, go to In n Out!

Definitely In-n-Out inspired, but with a few twists. The standard burger is very similar to a double double, but even messier. I needed a fork to finish mine, which was loaded up with all the condiments. Don't even think about eating one of these while driving. The free peanuts could use some salt. The iced tea is excellent. I know it's a crime, but I didn't try the fries. Bottom line: great burger!

I'm about to commit heresy and betray myself. I think Five Guys Burgers is better than In-n-out. There. I said it. The patties - very good. The buns - Sickeningly good. The toppings - really fresh. I don't any strong opinion about the venue - yes, its busy and the guy is yelling out orders all over the place but I've never much noticed. The fries are good - try cajun style. It is certainly expensive. There is no way around that. Burger, fries and drink is $9 and change. At least here you're getting quality for you dollar. Very tasty place!

I've heard people claim Five Guys is just like In-nOut, better than In-n-Out, or whatever. First, this place is nothing like In-n-Out, but considering there is no In-n-out within acceptable distance from our house, Five Guys is definitely a great alternative. Five Guys burgers are delicious, no doubt about that. Their fries I would even say are better than In-n-Out. However the curious lack of shakes on the menu, higher prices, and not just overall not being as good makes Five Guys not in the same category. I will definitely be back as Five Guys is probably still the best burger in Denver...at least at their price point.
