About Taco Bell
Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.
The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.
Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

As a Yelp Elite I must say this taco bell left something to be desired. The kids were all 15 years old or so, and so morose it was almost painful to try to talk to them. The beef hose was not plugged, but there was no more chalupa bread!! I was physically ill after hearing that. I would take off more stars if the Baja Blast wasn't so damn delicious. Oh and the cinnatwists!

Unfortunately this Taco Bell has never impressed me. I have tried them multiple times and the customer service is always a let down. On the plus side, the food has usually been hot. On my last visit I tried them for breakfast... And while the food wasn't bad -- the service was the worst I had experienced. I waited for around 5 minutes for a team member to stop mopping and take my order. I actually had to say something. Then on the way to the cash register to get my order she then proceeded to the drive thru register to take another order. I was very disappointed since I had been waiting. The rest of the interaction continued to be super lack luster and not worth writing. Overall -- disappointing.

Seriously been here in line for 15 minutes... still haven't got to the window to get my food I order 1p minutes ago. Might as well sleep here.........

This is, to put it simply, THE most consistently awful Taco Bell I have ever been to. It's the worst. Period. Full stop. I've lived nearby for about 4 years and every once in a while we'll get a hankering for cheap tacos... and any time we do we spend way too much time deciding if we feel like trying out our luck at this Taco Bell. We should know by now, it's always going to be a crappy experience. Now... don't get me wrong. This place used to be WORSE. When they (I'm assuming) went under new management a couple of years ago, we were optimistic. Unfortunately, we've been met with more of the same. The service in DT is excruciatingly slow, even when there's only a couple of cars. The employees look and act like they couldn't care less about their job. I suppose it's pretty much tradition to make a car wait at the window for 5+ minutes, with NO ONE in sight, and then try to give them the next car's order. "Have you served them yet?" "Oh, oops." I should've just taken the damn Cinnabon things she was holding out to me. ...particularly because we are routinely left missing items and even worse, getting a cheese quesadilla when we ordered a chicken quesadilla. I shouldn't have to open and inspect every single item in my order every time I go to this place. Anyway, avoid this place like the plague. I can't comment on the conditions inside the restaurant because, to be honest, I'm scared of actually seeing them. Regardless, if you really want some fast tacos, it might just be worth it to make the trek to Del Taco by Park Meadows.

Bleh. Don't come here. Really apathetic staff, questionable health/safety practices, and overall just a poor experience. Okay. When you're talking about Taco Bell, and the best thing about your visit was the FOOD, you know something is wrong. We came in to satisfy a late-night junk food craving on our way home. We ordered a mish-mash of items from the various menus (a ranchero soft taco here, a potato burrito there, etc), because none of the combos sounded appealing. Plus we don't drink soda, so most of the benefit of getting a combo is lost on us. Anyway. They screwed up our order. I understand that we didn't order a conventional combination of food items, but come on guys. This is your job, and it's not like it's that busy around 10pm. It doesn't end there. They also screwed up the next group's order. And they screwed up the order of the people after them! It took them probably 10 minutes to get us the correct food (after the 10 minutes we'd already waited just for the wrong food to come out in the first place). One woman in the party after us stood at the counter, waiting for them to fix her order, literally the whole time we were there. She still hadn't gotten what she ordered by the time we had finished eating and left. But that isn't the worst of it. As I was eating, I noticed a peculiar smell. I couldn't quite figure it out until I bent my head down close to the table to get a bite of my crumbling taco, and then I realized: what I was smelling was MILDEW. Sure enough, the food tray wreaked of it. I took the nasty tray up to the counter and stood there for several minutes while the staff ignored me. The guy who was supposed to be manning the register literally went out of his way to look like he was too busy to talk to me, even though he obviously had nothing to do. I finally said, "Excuse me," and he came over. He looked at me expectantly. Didn't say anything, just looked at me. Okay, I'll talk first. "You know, this tray really has an odor to it. You should notify your manag--" Before I could even finish talking, this guy snatched up the tray and walked away with it, still not saying a word. No apology. No offer to "take care of it". And what came next was the final thing that made me decide I'm never coming back to this Taco Bell again: he took the dirty tray, still wreaking of mildew and still dirty from my food coming out on it, ON TOP OF THE STACK OF "CLEAN" TRAYS. I couldn't believe it! That was it for me. The people here clearly don't give a damn about caring for their customers, either from a service standpoint or from a health and safety standpoint.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. First off I order my food and then they say that they don't have certain ingredients like why did I just waste my time telling you all of that when you know that you don't have the ingredients?? I also ordered a CHICKEN quesadia and had absolutely nothing but cheese in it. I also ordered a stuff STEAK burrito and had absolutely no meet but just beans and guac. I am so pissed off at this place. I will never go to this location ever again.

It's hard to screw up taco supremes...and they are very generous on the hot sauce!

By far the worst Taco Bell I've ever been to. My primary New Years Resolution is to never go to any of the South Denver Taco Bells again. From now on I will go to Del Taco when I want cheap fast food tacos & burritos. Every time I have ever been here, they have messed up one or more of my items. Every. Single. Time. - Order a Triple Layer Nachos ... receive a platter with chips, beans, runny beef, and red sauce. No cheese anywhere to be found on a plate of NACHOS. - Order a Doritos Taco Supreme ... receive a regular Doritos Taco. - Order the limited time Crunchwrap Sliders ... no Fritos chips anywhere to be found. In other words, there was no CRUNCH in my CRUNCHWRAP. - Order a Caramel Apple Empanada ... either you get nothing, or you get some really old stale Cinnamon Twists that have been sitting under the warmer overnight and all day. - Order a burrito without sour cream ... they put a HUGEASS SOUR CREAM POCKET on one end of the burrito. I admit this one is a problem at almost all Taco Bells in existence though. Sometimes it takes 20+ minutes to receive an order in the drive thru... even with 3 or fewer cars ahead of mine. One of the largest problems with this Taco Bell is that it's a combination Pizza Hut Express as well. None of the employees EVER like making the Pizza Hut items because it slows down the preparation process and backs cars up in the drive thru. Yum! Brand overextends itself with these combination Taco Bell / Pizza Hut Express. This company needs to realize that they are diluting both brands by doubling up on the menus at each restaurant, thus reducing quality across the board. If you have a hankering for a personal fix of pizza, visit the super quick super tasty super cheap Jets Pizza in the shopping center behind this Taco Bell. Or go buy a pizza from the real Hut across the street, because what you get at this Taco Bell is a horrible excuse for pizza. It is easy to sense the low morale at each of these "Combination Yum! Brand" stores in the area, as it oozes from every pore of every employee on staff. You can tell the employees hate having to make items from 2 different menus. You can tell by how poor the customer service ALWAYS is at this restaurant. The sad thing is that Yum! doesn't seem to care to enforce quality control at this store. I have complained by email to Yum! on numerous occasions about how piss-poor my experiences have been at this restaurant. I have never once received a word back from the company. The guys in charge at Yum! don't care about setting things right when it comes to disgruntled customers at this store. Take my advice and avoid EVERY Taco Bell on Broadway in South Denver, ESPECIALLY this one. The customer experience at this store is beyond low, and Yum! is content doing nothing about it. Eating at this restaurant will bring you DISSATISFACTION, GUARANTEED.
(1)Shane G.
Worst Taco Bell I have ever been to. Long story short they messed up my meal and when I went back to politely get it fixed they acted like I was the one who messed up EVEN after their own employee admitted to the mistake. They gave dirty looks and had horrible customer service. By far the worst Taco Bell I have ever been too. Lastly I did not eat the burrito I paid for that they messed up because I was very suspicious of spit being inside it. I would be concerned about cleanliness in this establishment. One of the worst fast food experiences I have ever had. Save your time and money by going somewhere else.
(1)Cindy C.
Not bad, great customer service.. Food was hot and napkins included! Clean parking lot and people were nice. Drive through only
(4)Jeremy C.
I generally have good luck with this taco bell. However tonight I had the second worst experience ever at a taco bell. I arrived and was greeted with a long line at the drive through which isn't all that bad its kind of normal. After I had finished ordering I was told "Oh I am supposed to tell everyone we are out of ground beef, so umm do you want chicken or steak?" I replied back you couldn't have told me that before I had ordered my meal (order was a number 8 combination, 3 tacos and a drink) He replied with "sorry, chicken or steak" I told him steak I guess. I get to the window to pay. He gives me my drink and I notice none of the buttons are pushed in on the top and I ask if this is a diet Pepsi. He replies "yeah" and proceeds to hand me my food. I get back to work and sure enough it's a regular Pepsi and a flat one at that no carbonation I guess they ran out of CO2 also. Needless to say I won't be going back here for a while. Had one experience worse than the one I just had from this location back in October of last year. I was told in January that they had a new owner and were making some changes and up until tonight they were really doing well. But back down hill tonight someone should be fired.
