Been here twice and so far this is the best Mexican food I have had in Colorado. Now I'm jaded from growing up in Southern California where there is soooo much good Mexican food. I still haven't found good West Coast Mexican food BUT for so far this place is real close!

This was my second visit Los Dos and they didn't disappoint. I've had the beef enchiladas, fajitas and guisado here and was very pleased with them all. Great flavor and nicely colored sauce on the enchiladas, the fajitas were also very flavorful and had generous amounts of meat and sides. The guisado is kind of a steak stew a little spicier than I like but good. My reason for picking the guisado is because I'm from Texas and we have carne guisada there and it's awesome. My search continues as I remain unsuccessful at finding a Mexican restaurant that serves it. It was VERY crowded on a Friday night but we were seated promptly, the staff seemed a little overwhelmed and service suffered just a tad. All in all another great visit.

My absolute favorite mexican restaurant in Colorado! Delicious doesn't even begin to do justice to Los Dos. One note of caution...the salsa is HOT. Like really hot. You can ask for a milder one, just FYI. :) Los Dos makes the best green chile, and the carne asada tacos are INCREDIBLE. Those are my two favorite menu items...but seriously, you cannot go wrong with anything here! Also, they have Sunday brunch for 17.99 and they have everything you can imagine...including mimosas!

Great Mexican food. We will gladly drive an hour for good Mexican food, but this restaurant is in our neighborhood - we lucked out. Try the carnitas or the street tacos.

Had a decent meal for lunch. The portions were huge and could statisfy a very hungry person. Ordering off the al a carte menu was a great option for a cheaper meal. I had the chicken burrito with beans. Only slight complaint is the salsa was spicy compated to most Mexican restaurants. It tasted great, but was a slight shock on the first bite.

YUMMMOOO!!! Great food great service and the Cadillac margarita is perfect! The fajitas are really good you get a lot for you money! Two people and still brought food home.

I had the street tacos and they were good. My girlfriend had the enchiladas and she thought they were so so. The waiter was excellent when she gave him her honest opinion. It's nice to dine in a place that makes customer satisfaction a top priority. So kudos to the waiter and we will return and try something else from the extensive menu next time.

Carnitas! Best thing on the menu. And the chile relleno nachos are so over the top, so bad and cheesy, they're good. My kids love their brunch... Because who doesn't like drinking hot chocolate for breakfast and eating sopapillas. Better than most of the other Mexican places in the area... But that's not saying much, given the selection of suburban fare.

My family eats here quite often because we are huge fans of the Carnitas (only served on the weekend but are tasty regardless). I've tried many menu items and haven't ever really been blown away by anything other than tacos al carbon and the carnitas. The queso dip is actually really delicious, it's pretty rich but ultimately a good start to any meal. As a side note I can handle heat really well and the salsa here is sometimes unbearably hot. They do offer a milder version for those so inclined that is available upon request. The drinks here are reasonably priced but I would steer clear of the margaritas for one reason, they all taste like they have pre-mixed margarita mix in them. Which if you like that, awesome good for you, you'll love these margs. They do have a decent beer menu and the prices are extremely inexpensive considering. The carnitas are in my opinion the best thing on their menu. The green chilli they smother them in is phenomenal and has the best flavor. The portions for the carnitas is actually impressive, they are easily enough for two meals (they make amazing leftovers). I love the fact that this plate comes with fresh pico and quacamole as well. The take-out portions are also incredible, they even give you chips and salsa to go. Call ahead to order and they will have your meal all prepared and ready to go!

Super friendly employees. Green Chile is very much their own recipe. Unique with good heat and big chunks of pork. Will be back.

Great food! Had the shredded beef burrito and it was delicious. Only bad thing were the flies. Lots of flies landing on us and the food....yuk. Next time we'll get the food to go.

Being from Texas, I was skeptical about finding any Mexican food here that I'd like. The steak street tacos were super yummy and was super excited that their chorizo queso was really good. I wasn't sure if I'd get queso anymore. The margaritas were not the best however. A little weak and way too sweet for my liking. Service was a bit slow, but hopefully it was just an off night.

Great place! Good food! Incredibly accommodating for large groups. We had my wife's bday party here. The servers did an awesome job!

Never try to order a combo that's not on the menu. I tried to order 2 enchiladas and a taco to go. I get home( less than 5 minutes) and the shell of the taco is a soggy mess. The tortillas used in the enchiladas are hard. I tried ordering a combo, which I was charged for. Rice and beans are missing. ...and it's all cold. The person taking my order couldn't get it straight and had to get help. I don't understand why this place is popular.

My favorite Mexican food in town. Don't waste your time any place else, well worth the trip. The food is full of flavor and very spicy! The Enchiladas (especially the Enchiladas en salsa verde) are top notch, their salsa is fabulous, and they have great margs and a nice selection of ice cold beer. I've been coming here for years now. Their other location off Kipling is equally as delicious. Even on a busy night the service is solid and they move fast. You won't be disappointed.

This place is simply amazing! Food is always great! Staff is amazing! Brunch is all you can possibly imagine and it's delicious! Mimosas are great also! You come in hungry and walk out satisfied ;)

Los Dos Potrillos is great! Throughout my years living here in Littleton the restaurant has become a place of tradition for my family. Birthdays, graduations, wedding rehearsal dinners all happen here. The staff knows my family well after all the years of coming here and they know exactly how we like our margarita's (strong!). Their salsa is super good too, I have to stop myself from eating only that. Their entrees are fairly priced and are all large meals by themselves. The only downside to this business is that it is very popular and the wait for a table can be 45 minutes plus on the weekend. When I do Mexican food I always choose Los Dos.

Emma K.
Food is decent. I will just say that, because there are different versions of Mexican food, right? I mean, I guess I am used to Mexican food in California. Anyway, the plates were not hot when we received our dinner and our waiter seemed to be in a bit of a hurry. However, I will say that the caldo de mariscos had a good variety of fish, shrimp, and crab legs; it was also a healthy portion. All in all, service was fast and we never had to ask for refills on water.

If you are looking for real good mexican food, look no further! This place is so great! Great, fast, friendly service. Such wonderful food and great drinks.

Family really likes to eat here. The food is consistently good and the staff is very friendly (know several by name and overall they engage with customers adding to the experience). Nice to split a plate of chicken nachos (chicken is really good) or share fajitas. You cannot go wrong with lunch or dinner there. We are not big fans of the brunch on Sundays, not that it it terrible by any means, just very crowded and loud (plus you walk out smelling like brunch since the food is there in the open room area during brunch hours). Try it, you will not be disappointed...

Three words: Chile Relleno Nachos!!! This place is my favorite Mexican joint in Denver (and let's face it if you know good Mexican food and are a Mexican Food Snob like myself you'll know there's not a lot of good Mexican here)! Their green chile is great, salsa is fantastic, and the service is always consistent. No reservations are allowed and this place always seems to be busy so make sure you call ahead for seating!
(4)
Ang H.
I don't have much of an opinion about this place - it's not great but it's not bad either. It's just regular Mexican food. I wouldn't ever eat here if it wasn't convenient but it is. They do have a pretty good fried chicken chili rellano and they are normally always busy. It's definitely worth a try and I will be back again.

We eat here a lot because it is close by and the rellenos are generally great. Although the food is always worthwhile the service has really lacked lately... the hostesses seem surprised when they have to seat you, and as if a booster seat is a giant inconvenience. Last night the food arrived before the margarita, and I would be surprised if the waiter was at our table more than 4 times. Even when present he seemed to have his mind somewhere else. The other thing I have noticed is that the tables/booths are very tight on space. Its as if the should have 10 booths in area, but they crammed in 15... Again, the food is always worthwhile and the brunch is great. The service needs a lot of work!!!

Brian D.
Our waiter was awesome. I had the egg and potato breakfast burrito and added chorizo. It was really good for $6.
(4)
Leanne R.
My husband loves this place, but the salsa is so hot I cannot eat there. Yes, I am a wuss when it comes to peppers, but they should have a mild alternative . If you like hot food, you'll probably like it. If you don't-go elsewhere.
(2)
Corey R.
Great food and service. This is your standard Mexican restaurant with a very full menu and stucco motif. The food is above average for this type of restaurant and will surely get more of my business in the future!
(4)
Mona M.
Not a bad place for mexican. Have had better success coming a little earlier in the afternoon when they're not as busy. Servers can be a little slow, but nothing to complain horribly about. Smothered burrito was tasty and big (too big, actually ... there was no way I could finish it). Will be coming back to get a fix.

Possibly the worst experience in a restaurant that I've had in the last 10 to 15 years. Waited 15 minutes for drinks and another 30 minutes for a waiter to take our we decided to stay instead of leave just to see how long it will take will never go back to this Los Dos. I will wait the hour wait to go to the one on Holly.

Favorite Mexican spot. Love the staff, shout out to Jeremy, Micah, Lee, Tony, Juan, Rudy, and Fernando!! Must eat here too much because I know everyone that works there. AMAZING (and strong!) Margaritas and excellent food. I love the #12 combo and the Grilled chicken fajitas. If you have never been here, check it out. friendly service and and awesome Sunday brunch!

The food is meh at best. My wife and I only go here when requested by someone else. The margaritas are good, but the food is lacking.

Kalli K.
My favorite Mexican restaurant by far and I have tried a lot! The staff is super super friendly, and food is out quickly. The best part is o go here once every couple weeks and the food is always consistently great. It never has an off night like a lot of restaurants. The chili rellonos and carnitas are amazing. Margs are great as well!

Having recently moved to the area, I knew nothing about where to find good Mexican food. So I fired up my Yelp app on the phone, and entered in simply one word: Mexican. Up popped Los DOS Potrillos #2, and it appeared to be highly-rated. I drove right over after checking the app, and was impressed with what I saw. It a fairly large place and seemed pretty popular at 8:00 pm on a weeknight. Fortunately, our party of four was able to get seated right away. And after just one visit, I can see why it's so highly rated and popular. Friendly staff. Great Mexican food. And did I mention the mariachi band? There is just such a band here and they play some pretty catchy stuff. I don't know the songs, mind you, because it's mariachi. I don't even know what "mariachi" means! But I like the music. I mean, it's not workout music, but it works in a restaurant like this. Of course. Why wouldn't it? Crazy question... Anyway, the eight-member band journeys from table to table asking if you'd like them to play a tune just for you. Yes, just for you! Don't worry, no pressure. If you politely decline they walk away all smiles and fancy hats. Just like they arrived. Hey I almost forgot to mention the food! I ordered the chicken burrito and it was very good. Had some Mexican fried ice cream for dessert and no complaints there either. This is an overall fun atmosphere with great food. And you get to hear that mariachi band even if you don't summon them to your table. Think about it. The tables aren't sound proof, so you'll hear them wherever they go. And they perform almost nonstop, so be ready for a festive evening. This will most likely be my first stop for nearby Mexican cuisine in the future.

We go there all the time and the waitstaff is very quick, efficient and friendly. The salsa is great. The shrimp tacos are really good and the guacamole that they make in front of you is amazing. Love the chimichangas. Really quick with big parties also.

Fajitas and Monterey chicken (no onions) are the best things here. Friendly but understaffed. Horchata! Decent prices and close by.

They have very good Mexican food that tastes authentic. The atmosphere is fun and the waitstaff is very personable. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend. It is also not too expensive. Also I've had their breakfast burrito and it was very good.

We tend to go, that is the wife and I for dinner Friday. Friday, Sat, Sun only they have Carrrrrrrrrrrrrrnitas!!! on the menu which is very good. Monterey chicken a favorite too. If you go a bit later in the evening you can miss the rush, and sometime the chef pops out to say hello. Staff all friendly and businesslike. I have no real benchmark for the "best Mexican" food but this seems quite good for Denver - would still like to know where to get the "best". Amusing anecdote - I ordered Posole one evening and was treated like a long lost family member by wait-staff - I am from Ireland!

Another new place we tried in the new 'hood. Generous portions of food and the salsa has a good kick! We all took home take out boxes as we could not eat it all. I had the carne adobada that was a little different that I am used to - not really spiced up or hammered thin. More of a couple of pork chops with green chile. Wait staff was all over it and they were fun. The decor is touristy mexican. Seems like a good HH. We will go back to sample more!

Always good Mexican food....We have gone here many times and the food is good and the waitstaff attentive. We'll be back again and again.
(3)
Elly S.
The shrimp burrito is an amazing experience! Most well cooked shrimp and tangy with a spritz of lime on it. Ordering guac is always fun too because they make it right there in front of you. Oh, and do you like spice? Because you're going to get it here! I've been looking for a Mexican restaurant that you can taste the cilantro, the garlic, and the peppers, and this is it!
(5)
Julie J.
HORRIBLE restaurant. I was burned by a fajita iron plate that was set down right in front of me with NO hotpads on the handle. I was ignored by every staff member...even the manager. I had to walk into the kitchen on my own to get some burn relief. I have never had such a terrible experience. It was inexcusable!!

They really turn them around here. We must have had two waiters and a waitress help our table. While we did have a larger group, I think it was a little much. The building is pretty large and has a lot of dinning space that could easily accommodate numerous large groups. The menu is almost as big as the building and I had a hard time deciding. While we all perused the menu they promptly brought the drinks and baskets of chips with salsa. For my lunch I ended up choosing the chicken mole tacos. The mole was very good, almost addictive, and the portions were HUGE - way more than one person should eat. It was so delicious that I ended up eating most of it. Before I could decide if I was finished the waiter decided for me, which in this case was more than OK with me. I had an enjoyable time.

While I have eaten here (San Juan Way) and their County Line Rd location numerous times and enjoyed it very much, this review is specifically for the Mother's Day Brunch. First we had reservations for a large party for weeks. When we walked in I was horrified of how many people were standing around waiting. You could barely find a place to stand and my feet were stepped on numerous times. We were told it would be a while for our table. It was about 20 minutes, which is just unacceptable when you have a reservation. The walkins should have just been turned away. The service was terrible and it really wasn't our waitresses fault, she was trying her best. But it was just too crowded (people waiting all over the restaurant) and too busy at the bar for her to get drinks out. We were short 1 mimosa that was complimentary with the Mother's Day Brunch and they were all warm & settled as if they had been made hours ago and were sitting around in the back. Which doesn't explain the wait to receive it. Trying to get your food at the buffet was a nightmare. The lines were awful, dishes were not replenished fast enough and you couldn't move as there were people everywhere. I saw people trying to walk back to their tables and the person in front of them would move unexpectedly and their hair would brush through the plate of the person behind them. People were sitting on the floor in the back hall between the dining room and the buffet and others trying to walk through with their food were tripping on their feet. As for the food, I really didn't get much of it. At 19.99 a head it was a joke for this situation. I waited 25 minutes for an omelette to be made and it was still undercooked in the middle. The tortillas for the tacos were handmade and looked great but after getting them (i got steak) I had to wait in another line for toppings like cheese & salsa and so by the time I got back to my table it was cold so I didn't eat it. My daughter enjoyed the chilli rellenos but I passed on that. I will be back for lunch & dinner but will never do this breakfast buffet again. They made a huge mistake taking as many reservations as they did and then letting walkins stand around. They should have said they were full. There were so many people in here that I wouldn't be surprised if it was a safety hazard.

Great food. Great service. Good prices. I was skeptical of coming because of the lower rating but I was pleasantly surprised by their food quality

Food is fair. Guacamole could have more spice and flavor. The management was a little short when my mom didn't care for the cumin In one of their dishes. They didn't think it was in the sauce. They have her an alternate dish and in the meantime He called his chef and found out that they had put it in. He apologized. Lesson for this place: don't mess with my mom. She knows her spices!!!

Three different waiters. No one could remember to bring the chile relleno nachos we ordered. Salsa was better tonight. Could taste the cilantro. They served the tacos and tostada on top of green chile making them soggy. Stuffed sopapilla was VERY good. Happy dance! Wait staff friendly.

One of the best mexican joints in town. Friendly staff and amazing food. Iv had the bean burritos with chicharrones and green chile, the bacon wrapped shrimp and the combo fajitas. All were 5 star. Got a marg but wasnt too impressed by it. Thats my only complaint. Going to go back and try the Chile relleno nachos.

Our bartender Jeremy is great! Not only do they have great food, our server/bartender was great to talk to and laugh with while working on a buzz and filling my gullet! Coming back soon, Sunday brunch is amazing! Shout out to lee and Jeremy !!!!

Delicious food and margaritas. The service is quick and friendly. I love their carnitas.

Great menu and food is always consistent. I come here at least once every couple weeks. It is a big restaurant so you never have to wait unless you want to sit on the back patio on nice evenings. Furniture and atmosphere are nothing exciting, but I don't go to Mexican restaurants for those things. I am a sucker for the Carne Asada and get it nearly every time a come. Recommended.

Had heard good things about this place, so decided to try it. Located way in the back corner of the strip mall, the first thing you see when you walk in the door was a handwritten chalkboard sign that says something like -we apologize but if you park in the other restaurants lot you will be towed, and are immediately reminded you are in the burbs. The food was mediocre at best and served warm, not hot. Quick efficient and robotic service with a vague semblance of a smile. I got the distinct impression after being asked twice by 2 diff waiters if we wanted "something else to drink besides water" that they were more concerned about meeting a quota for high margin alcohol sales than guest satisfaction. Given all the good things I've heard, maybe this was just a bad night? Maybe just a bad time? I will prob give it another try for lunch.. . someday.

On 10/17/14 I updated this from 5 star to 4 star due to their updated Sunday brunch buffet pricing. It's not the great value it used to be so we don't go nearly as much. Here's the old review: Our favorite Sunday brunch buffet in the Denver area. 5 star for the value at $13.95 with drinks included. Good quality and wonderful spices. Our favorite smothered breakfast burrito in town as long as we remember to ask them to hold the lettuce & tomato. The chile relleno nachos are amazing, so don't just go here for the Sunday brunch! One thing that could improve? The fajita meat. Needs to be more tender & flavorful. I doubt they use marinade. Service is always excellent. You're going to be hard pressed to find better mexican food in Colorado.

Came here for the Sunday Brunch - amazing! It is totally worth it for the food, and the never ending mimosas put it over the top.

Excellent, huge servings so be prepared. Fish taco (I had one not the Platter) came out on a small platter and was a full serving of food, just missing the beans (no loss to me). Lovely flavors. Margarita's are good. Good value

Los Dos Potrillos #2 is our go-to for Mexican food here in the Denver suburbs. We have a friend that is a good friend of the owner and staff here, so they treat us just like family whenever we're there. Mexican food is quite different than the Mexican food we have back in California - we were confused as to why almost everything is drenched with green chile (and where's the variety of meats? i can't seem to find al pastor meat anywhere here)! I guess you aren't a Coloradan until you start craving for something drenched in green chile :) We often go here for their Sunday brunch which is AWESOME. There's almost everything they have on the regular menu + the usual breakfast items including an omelet station. I love how there are unlimited mimosas and they have posole, and sopapillas too! I usually pack on the carnitas and barbacoa... One plate makes the price already worth it!

Best Mexican Food in Denver by a landslide. Their chili rellano nachos are to die for, never had anything like them at any other restaurant. Seems so simple too, can't figure out why others don't do this. They have amazing house margs too. At first I thought, "I can't taste the tequila" and didn't think too much of them. But what I have learned is these are actually well made margaritas. I had 2-3 and felt very tipsy, you simply just can't taste the tequila. So I guess that can be both good and bad. Their steak burrito (#44) is amazing. They don't use cheap steak like pretty much every other place I have been for their burritos. I am hooked on these things. That is what I get about 95% of the time I have been here. The other times I venture to something else it has been great as well. You just can't go wrong here.

We frequent "Los Dos" every Friday night with our friends and family. We always ask for Tony, but if he's not available, we ask for Freddy or Julio!! We are always seated by Blanca!! We feel like family here. Tony always knows our orders and brings us the best margaritas in town! We love the fish tacos, rellenos, and burritos. The chips and salsa are the best! Thank you to our favorite Mexican restaurant and family in town!!!

Yummy in the tummy. Not too cheesy which is good. My son wanted a tamale but it was pork so he picked something else and the waiter also had black beans on his plate instead of the refried beans. Smart guy. As the refried has pork. Brought a tamale to my husband but it had onions in the sauce we scraped it off and the tamale was dry. We should have asked for no onions. If in that area and want Mexican we would go back.

I am so excited to have found this place in the burbs. Great food, especially the weekly specials and Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas. They have negra modelo on tap and know that it has to be served with lime - It's Mexican Beer! Please enjoy - Proveche.

Sunday brunch was great! All you can eat food & mimosas. The street tacos were really good - with hand made tortillas and a variety of meats & toppings. Crispy chili relleno was good as was the cheese enchiladas. I would definitely recommend this.

Yum! I came here last Sunday for the brunch and was impressed with the service and the Tex-Mex food (my favorite!) outside of Tex. For $14 Sundays you get a buffet of tacos, enchiladas, churros, fruit, salads (including a very yummy ceviche), an omelette station, and a banana station (?--whatever, it was good.) Also drinks--coffee, mimosas, fountain drinks--and chips + salsa. All the food I tried (let's be honest...most of it) was very good, appropriately hot or cold, seasoned. Highlights were chorizo and eggs, ceviche, and churros. I'm going to try to get back for lunch or dinner on a regular day.

I've been to Los Dos Portrillos several times, and have never had a bad experience....but I've never had a great experience either. I can only describe the restaurant and everything about it as average. I've tried several items on the menu, and everything is good, but I haven't been wowed by a dish yet. Service is decent - but again, nothing spectacular. The menu is pretty big, with a wide variety of items to choose from. They do also have a large seating area, and I don't think we've ever had to wait for a table, so that's a plus. My friends and I will continue eating here, but I don't think it's ever going to be a place that I crave or am itching to go to.

Our family loves to eat here, it's always a favorite request of my son. Last time we were in, they had a fun mariachi band that played at our table, the kids loved it. They also have a pretty decent happy hour.

This place is always busy but fun. They have a great variety of food and a great bar. Fun for family or a drink with your friends.

Here's what we like about this place: 1. Great chill bar - and hardly ever packed around 6:00 on a Saturday. 2. Cool bartenders that you can practice your Spanish with...and they in turn ask about English terms. 3. Ice cold beer. 4. The pico.....watch for jalepeno seeds!!!! 5. Awesome tequila selection. I agree with the reviews on the inauthentic food - we've had amazing tacos all over Mexico, Honduras, Santa Barbara, and even Scottsdale...so the food here doesn't hold a candle to other food we've had. However, because its close by, has a good bar, cold beer, etc......we're happy to return here.

E-Rock D.
Food was not good or authentic. Salsa was not authentic- definitely made using tomato sauce from a can. Chips were from a bag. Very overpriced. Poor service. Heard wait staff cursing loudly in Spanish. Guess they assumed we didn't know any. Will not return. Why is this place rated so high?

Great food and service. We've been coming here since it opened. Littleton desperately needed a "good" Mexican food place and it's finally here. When they opened I thought that it was a huge space and did not think that they would fill all the tables, but month after month it got busier. If you are bored with the combos, try the Guesado(spl?), careful it has a kick though.

This place is awesome. I've eaten here with co-workers a few times but only had the breakfast burrito because it was cheap lunch and has everything you want (egg, sliced potatoes, meat, and smothered with green chili and cheese). The other morning, restaurant plans fell through so we popped over here on Sunday. They were having brunch. Holy cow is the food here good. Everything thing is fresh, from the cucumber juice, to the omelet they prepare in front of you. I'd come here again and I'll certainly start trying more than their burrito.

Outstanding food! We had breakfast and loved every bite. The wait staff is very friendly and make it a point to individualize your experience.

Great service. Very flavorful green chili. The ala carte is the way to order, otherwise a little pricey. Really want to try the homemade guacamole, but haven't yet. Queso is excellent. Our new go to place, after our beloved Armadillo closed.

Ate here twice in one week. I love crispy chili rellanos. They have them here. They are awesome! Ordered them both visit. First visit was a take out....they shorted me a taco from my combo plate. -1 star (There is nothing worse than getting all the way back to your hotel room and having something missing from an order.) Second visit everything was perfect. Only thing I was not a big fan of is their salsa... kind of slimy. I cannot describe it any other way. It tasted OK.

Sunday Brunch at its best! There is so much food to choose from and it's all good. I've learned to stay away from the breakfast staples (fresh made omelet) because I won't have enough room to try all the other delicious foods. My favorite today was a pork taco. The tortilla was made right there on the spot, the meat had a ton of flavor and there were fresh toppings galore. The service here is always friendly and everyone seems to have a smile on their face. I will return!

Horrible! I asked for a bean and cheese burrito, I got a bean burrito covered in cheese and some kind of peppers! Taco Bell has better Mexican food then this place! Yuck!

It's been so long since I had great Mexican food. The service was awesome! It looks like they took the time to make the atmosphere authentic. We split the "fajita's for 2" and was way more than we could possibly eat. We will definitely be making this a regular place for us.

I don't get why this place rates so high. I have been here 3 times & get gristley meat, salsa is ok, margaritas taste like they are pre-made from a can. Green chile is like a paste & not good flavor. Double yuck. I'll stick to La Loma & Las Cazuelas!

There is no menu on the website that details what the food choices for brunch are. As someone who does not eat meat, especially pork, I relied on others' reviews to guide me here. What I found, unfortunately, was a pork fiesta. Brunch was essentially a celebration in porktopia. They should rename the place Los Dos Porkporkpork because that would a very accurate descriptor. The strawberries were amazing, but a majority of the other nonmeat options here were tasteless. On a positive note, the staff was friendly as all heck. I would absolutely love to receive the same service from the same people at a different restaurant. But considering the porkulance of this pork palace, I will have to pass on future visits here.

The free guacamole was not even close to enough to compensate for my group's experience here. We were sat, then waited 10 minutes before being acknowledged. After the server finally came to our table, the manager came up and began talking to her in Spanish. After a five minute conversation, our server asked us to move tables. Apparently, a large group had made a reservation, and the establishment did not leave sufficient space available. We had to move in order to make space for them. Having worked in foodservice for five years, asking a table to move is the pinnacle of failure. Our table of nine received free guacamole, but then continued to sit unattended. Our food order was taken before our drink order, which was only taken because we reminded the server. The food here is good, but this is the third time I have received such poor service and unprofessional behaviour by staff and management. I will not be back.

Food and service always excellent. Fresh and tasty. However the mexican music they play is agony. I would rather have kittens scratch my eardrums rather than listen to the hidious screaching mexican music they play. Play jazz or classic rock and this place is a ten.

Great food and service. New regular Mexican place!! Food was very good. Salsa was good and hot Margaritas were strong and tasty! Service was even better. Friendly, prompt, attentive - awesome!!

One of my favorite Mexican places here in the Denver area. Amazing salsa and table-side made guacamole, tasty main dishes, great margaritas and HH specials! Some of the food can be a bit too greasy (the chile rellenos are generally served in pool of fryer grease/fat), but overall, this place is great! Try the stuffed sopapilla or the huevos rancheros. Delish!!

Food is very good here - I especially recommend the weekend brunch; some of the items are unique including a ceviche and a salad with onions, avocados, cilantro. The breakfast items are also very good. They also have an excellent green chili.

Love it! Never had a bad meal here. The burritos are huge, tacos are great, enchiladas too....plus the fajitas are amazing and the portion size is massive! Chips and salsa are excellent. Menu is extensive and it can kinda confusing knowing what to order, because everything is SO GOOD!

I eat at a lot of restaurants but must say this is the best Mexican restaurant ever. If you plan going in on the weekend with a big group call head this place gets busy. The food comes out really fast n the Service is amazing. My family n I will be back for sure

this place is good... I have tried almost everything I think and I have yet to find something that I was unhappy with. The drink, the food and the service are all some of my favorites and I will be back plenty. the only complaint that I might have is that the chips could be a little better. They seem to just not have that WOW factor and thats a bummer. OH.... you have to try the sunday brunch with all you can drink mimosas. You will make it an every Sunday routine.

The other Los Dos Potrillos location we go to all the time! It's our family's favorite Mexican restaurant and luckily we live close by. However, we have been hearing from the employees and customers all about the Sunday brunch they have at the #2 location and how wonderful it is. So I decided to take my mom there for Mother's day brunch and it was a total success!! We made a reservation for noon and got there a few minutes early. We were promptly seated though the place was PACKED! Most places on Mother's Day brunch even with a reservation make you wait at least 10 mins to be seated. The waitress was friendly and let us know if we ordered the brunch mimosas were included! SCORE!! Then came the food. They set it up buffet style with employees working certain sections. Let's just say they have everything your heart can desire! They have a couple friendly women making homemade tortillas for tacos - I tried the steak and pork and both were to die for. They have another person making eggs or omelets to order. Then they have some Mexican staples - enchiladas, chile rellenos, beans, rice, green chile, barbacoa, carnitas even posole, ceviche (this was one of my favs!!) and shrimp. They also have more kid friendly foods like waffles, French toast, bacon and sausage. Oh and I'm yet to mention the homemade aqua frescas (watermelon and cucumber) and the chocolate fountain! We were in heaven!! The waitstaff is attentive, even on a busy day, and the food was constantly hot and fresh - even when it was approaching 2pm (the end of brunch)! I can't wait to go back again..maybe this weekend! A MUST try for any Mexican food and brunch fan!! FYI - they normally don't take reservations but they do for brunch so definitely call or the wait can be long.

The margaritas, salads, and chilli rellenos are delicious! They also have a chilli relleno appetizer - OMG. Fellow relleno lovers unite! You have nothing lose but your waistline!

Best Mexican food, service and drinks in the area! Thank you so much! Seafood platter, fish tacos, salsa and guac r Ah MA zing! Margarittas are out of this world! (As for mix on side it u don't like it too sweet like me) Yummy!!!

From a hard-to-please Mexican food lover, dos potrillos is really good. Carnitas fell apart just looking at it. Steak fajitas so perfectly flavored and grilled perfectly with beautiful and delicious red peppers and onions. House margs were less than stellar but the salsa and upbeat service more than compensated. Cheers!

I love this restaurant! I have enjoyed every dish I've ordered and I think that it's exceptionally priced for the quality of food you get.

Wow, very surprised at the positive reviews. I went there once -- I live about 2 minutes away so would've loved to find a great Mexican place nearby -- and will not return. Extremely inauthentic tacos. I haven't yet, since moving here from CA in 2007, found a restaurant that serves tacos in freshly made shells. These are boxed shells like you can buy in the supermarket. Chips and salsa also very weak. Service friendly and quick.

The Best Mexican Food in Colorado. My wife and I moved here from Arizona 3 yrs ago. We know good Mexican food. After a long search, we finally found the best Mexican food in Colorado at Los Dos Potrillos #2 in Littleton. Excellent food, good value, great margaritas, and friendly staff. Cosmo, Alberto and Fernando treat us like family. We have to go at least once a week. On my way now.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Been here twice and so far this is the best Mexican food I have had in Colorado. Now I'm jaded from growing up in Southern California where there is soooo much good Mexican food. I still haven't found good West Coast Mexican food BUT for so far this place is real close!
(4)John R.
(4)Carolyn H.
(5)Shane B.
Great Mexican food. We will gladly drive an hour for good Mexican food, but this restaurant is in our neighborhood - we lucked out. Try the carnitas or the street tacos.
(5)Amy T.
(3)Dyan S.
YUMMMOOO!!! Great food great service and the Cadillac margarita is perfect! The fajitas are really good you get a lot for you money! Two people and still brought food home.
(5)Don M.
(4)Megan S.
(4)Leanna C.
(4)Jenny P.
Super friendly employees. Green Chile is very much their own recipe. Unique with good heat and big chunks of pork. Will be back.
(4)Laura S.
Great food! Had the shredded beef burrito and it was delicious. Only bad thing were the flies. Lots of flies landing on us and the food....yuk. Next time we'll get the food to go.
(4)Amanda S.
(4)Heath K.
Great place! Good food! Incredibly accommodating for large groups. We had my wife's bday party here. The servers did an awesome job!
(5)David S.
(2)J W.
(5)Alexandra D.
This place is simply amazing! Food is always great! Staff is amazing! Brunch is all you can possibly imagine and it's delicious! Mimosas are great also! You come in hungry and walk out satisfied ;)
(5)David A.
(4)Emma K.
(3)K E.
If you are looking for real good mexican food, look no further! This place is so great! Great, fast, friendly service. Such wonderful food and great drinks.
(5)R P.
(4)Dustin D.
(4)Ang H.
(3)Sean Z.
(3)Brian D.
Our waiter was awesome. I had the egg and potato breakfast burrito and added chorizo. It was really good for $6.
(4)Leanne R.
My husband loves this place, but the salsa is so hot I cannot eat there. Yes, I am a wuss when it comes to peppers, but they should have a mild alternative . If you like hot food, you'll probably like it. If you don't-go elsewhere.
(2)Corey R.
Great food and service. This is your standard Mexican restaurant with a very full menu and stucco motif. The food is above average for this type of restaurant and will surely get more of my business in the future!
(4)Mona M.
(3)Rachel D.
Love coming here, Jeremy is always an awesome bartender and one of the few that always gets my food order correctly! Fun place!
(4)Amanda D.
This place is amazing, the green chili is always delicious. The staff is very attentive and helpful.... Never a bad time here!!!!! We drive 20min out of our way to eat here.
(5)Ryan R.
Great service! Huge brunch buffet with quality food! Not to mention bottomless mimosas!
(5)Paul L.
Great food. The chile relleno appetizer is amazing. The service is good most of the time.
(4)John F.
(1)Duffman D.
(5)Nick D.
The food is meh at best. My wife and I only go here when requested by someone else. The margaritas are good, but the food is lacking.
(2)Kalli K.
(5)Steven S.
(5)N G.
We go there all the time and the waitstaff is very quick, efficient and friendly. The salsa is great. The shrimp tacos are really good and the guacamole that they make in front of you is amazing. Love the chimichangas. Really quick with big parties also.
(4)Riley T.
Food here is pretty good, I come by whenever I'm in the Denver/Littleton area. The service is great!
(4)Ryan T.
Fajitas and Monterey chicken (no onions) are the best things here. Friendly but understaffed. Horchata! Decent prices and close by.
(3)Cole H.
They have very good Mexican food that tastes authentic. The atmosphere is fun and the waitstaff is very personable. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend. It is also not too expensive. Also I've had their breakfast burrito and it was very good.
(4)William A.
(4)Duane M.
(3)Dave R.
Always good Mexican food....We have gone here many times and the food is good and the waitstaff attentive. We'll be back again and again.
(3)Elly S.
(5)Julie J.
(1)Larren M.
(3)Laura S.
(2)Sassy F.
Great food. Great service. Good prices. I was skeptical of coming because of the lower rating but I was pleasantly surprised by their food quality
(5)Kate G.
(4)Cheryl K.

I will prob give it another try for lunch.. . someday.

Finally came here on a Saturday, and was able to try the carnitas!!! They are AMAZING. The horchata is awesome too! Will definitely be back.

Large restaurant, good service, good food, short wait. Kid friendly. Try the Guisado

Not the first time here but it was the worst. It wasn't all that special the other visits but thought we would try it again. Made the decision we will not return.

I am so excited to have found this place in the burbs. Great food, especially the weekly specials and Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas. They have negra modelo on tap and know that it has to be served with lime - It's Mexican Beer! Please enjoy - Proveche.
(5)Sarah S.
Sunday brunch was great! All you can eat food & mimosas. The street tacos were really good - with hand made tortillas and a variety of meats & toppings. Crispy chili relleno was good as was the cheese enchiladas. I would definitely recommend this.
(4)Megan F.

(3)John T.
Our family loves to eat here, it's always a favorite request of my son. Last time we were in, they had a fun mariachi band that played at our table, the kids loved it. They also have a pretty decent happy hour.
(4)Andrea T.
This place is always busy but fun. They have a great variety of food and a great bar. Fun for family or a drink with your friends.
(5)Renee W.
(3)E-Rock D.
(1)Skeptical And W.
(5)Steven Z.
still great!!!!!!! love it
(5)Matt V.
(5)Shelly B.
Outstanding food! We had breakfast and loved every bite. The wait staff is very friendly and make it a point to individualize your experience.
(5)Lea H.
Great service. Very flavorful green chili. The ala carte is the way to order, otherwise a little pricey. Really want to try the homemade guacamole, but haven't yet. Queso is excellent. Our new go to place, after our beloved Armadillo closed.
(4)Jeff L.
(4)Sarah P.
(5)Corey H.
Horrible! I asked for a bean and cheese burrito, I got a bean burrito covered in cheese and some kind of peppers! Taco Bell has better Mexican food then this place! Yuck!
(1)Mike G.
It's been so long since I had great Mexican food. The service was awesome! It looks like they took the time to make the atmosphere authentic. We split the "fajita's for 2" and was way more than we could possibly eat. We will definitely be making this a regular place for us.
(5)Kristen D.
I don't get why this place rates so high. I have been here 3 times & get gristley meat, salsa is ok, margaritas taste like they are pre-made from a can. Green chile is like a paste & not good flavor. Double yuck. I'll stick to La Loma & Las Cazuelas!
(1)James H.

(4)Jefferson H.
Great food and service. New regular Mexican place!! Food was very good. Salsa was good and hot Margaritas were strong and tasty! Service was even better. Friendly, prompt, attentive - awesome!!
(4)Mandy R.
Delish!!
(4)Joe L.
Food is very good here - I especially recommend the weekend brunch; some of the items are unique including a ceviche and a salad with onions, avocados, cilantro. The breakfast items are also very good. They also have an excellent green chili.
(5)Sean V.
Love it! Never had a bad meal here. The burritos are huge, tacos are great, enchiladas too....plus the fajitas are amazing and the portion size is massive! Chips and salsa are excellent. Menu is extensive and it can kinda confusing knowing what to order, because everything is SO GOOD!
(5)Lizbeth G.
I eat at a lot of restaurants but must say this is the best Mexican restaurant ever. If you plan going in on the weekend with a big group call head this place gets busy. The food comes out really fast n the Service is amazing. My family n I will be back for sure
(5)i n.
Great food. would have gotten 4 stars if the parking wasn't so bad
(3)David F.
this place is good...
(5)Nicole M.
(5)Katie N.
The margaritas, salads, and chilli rellenos are delicious! They also have a chilli relleno appetizer - OMG. Fellow relleno lovers unite! You have nothing lose but your waistline!
(4)Andrea B.
Great food and service. New regular Mexican place!! Food was very good. Service was even better. Friendly, prompt, attentive - awesome!! Great end to the day!!
(5)Kim V.
Best Mexican food, service and drinks in the area! Thank you so much! Seafood platter, fish tacos, salsa and guac r Ah MA zing! Margarittas are out of this world! (As for mix on side it u don't like it too sweet like me) Yummy!!!
(5)Tarah K.
Cheers!
(5)Lauren S.
I love this restaurant! I have enjoyed every dish I've ordered and I think that it's exceptionally priced for the quality of food you get.
(4)EM G.

(5)Christian H.
Great food and drinks with a staff that is always ready to help.

Great prices, large portions, good service! One of the great mexican restaraunts in town.
