This establishment is quaint, humble, and charming. Everything that would be expected for a family owned restaurant in Littleton, CO. When I drove up to the restaurant, going south on Pierce, it looked like it was closed, due to the low lighting on the inside, and no large sign on the outside. However, when I passed the side of the building, and could see the parking lot, I was quickly reassured that it was open. Once inside, I was quickly seated by the hostess and given the menu. Since I went on a Sunday night, it was not very busy, with just four other tableful's, that showed a wide range of guests, from families to elderly couples. To accommodate for the different types of guests, it appeared that the seating was separated into three different sections; booths, on one side with the families, booths, on the opposite side to seat the older guests and, tables in the middle for all other groups. At my table, I had a chance to look at the menu, which featured a wide variety of reasonably priced Italian and Mexican dinners. After about three minutes, my waitress came to see if I was ready to order. She was the sweetest middle-aged woman, and reminded me of the 1980s television mom, she seemed like she genuinely cares about her guests, and enjoys her job. When she asked me what I wanted to order I could not decide between the Pesto Rigatoni, and the Home-style Lasagna. So I asked her, and she suggested the Lasagna, which is what I ordered for $12.25. My food came out fairly quick, a salad and fresh bread in 3 minutes, and then my main dish about 8 minutes after. When I saw it, it was not what I was expecting. A plate full of sauce, so much that I had to scrape it off on to my salad plate, surrounded the medium sized 3X3in square of Lasagna. Once I finally took a bite of my lasagna, it was not what I expected. It was under cooked and falling apart - possibly, because they are in need of a new chief. It did have a nice flavor, but was not worth the $12.25. It tasted about the same as one of the frozen lasagna family dinners that could be purchased at the grocery store for around $6.00. Upon finishing my entrée, I decided to order some dessert off of the Mexican side of the menu and get Sopapillas, for $3.00. These saved the meal. They were warm, flaky and fresh just like one should be and had the perfect amount of butter, cinnamon, and sugar. They even surpassed the taste of the Sopapillas that the restaurant Casa Bonita is known for. Overall, Angie's is a nice family restaurant, with average quality food and an amazing staff. The ambiance is quiet enough for a dinner for two, while being fast enough to serve families with children, and still cater to every guest in between.

DO NOT GO HERE! The owner just got in my Mom's face and was very disrespectful. If you don't take reservations than why did you take ours?! Just lost 5 year LOYAL customers because of your lack of customer service and your bad attitude. When you are in a customer service industry, you should not treat your regulars in such a foul manner. Shame on you! Tried to leave zero stars but it would not allow it.

Hidden gem! How come I never knew about this place!!! Really great staff. Amazing marinara. Meatballs yum. Wish I knew about it earlier. Def. Has that mom and pop feel that I have been longing for! Love it!

Had Angie's for the 1st time. We got take out. My husband got the Meatball sub and said it was only Ok, definitely not something special (this coming from a man who will eat anything! ), my daughters kids Spaghetti was OK and I personally had a calzone which would have been good had there been cheese in it, literally no cheese in it at all, I thought cheese was a standard in a calzone. Not sure if we'll be going back :/

I've eaten at Angie's for many years, all the way back to their old location with doors covering every wall. The new place still has all the old radios on shelves above every wall. If you're looking for five-star Italian, this isn't the place to go. On the other hand, if you're looking for a good and reasonably priced Italian meal that's miles better than the chains, this is it. Their salads are done well (you have to try the bleu cheese), the bread before dinner is always fluffy and comes with a very well-spiced marinara for dipping (and they'll bring you as much as you like). Once you actually get to your meal, you won't be disappointed either. Their spaghetti is homemade and hearty with huge noodles, the meatballs are also homemade and are large and satisfying, and anything else I've had is done equally well. Now that I live closer, I also like to head down here for lunch. Try the eggplant parmigiana sandwich sometime-but don't be surprised if you take half home for lunch tomorrow. The only complaint I've ever had is that the service can be a little slow and intermittent, especially when they get very busy.

Great place to eat - especially if your family can't decide between Italian and Mexican. Both are delicious! Personally I love the wide noodle spaghetti with meatball. Won't break the bank either.

This place is always busy! Why, because their food is pretty good. Well, at least the Italian is. I would never go there specifically for the Mexican. It's not great. Neither are the margaritas. The lasagna, chicken parm and spaghetti are faves. The bread is good too. I wish their ranch for the salads was better tasting. Overall, a good quick bite close to home.

My family has been enjoying this neighborhood treat for years, and it just keeps getting better. I think it's the homemade pasta that really has everyone hooked! Happy to visit as often as I can for those cannoli's too....Food is down to earth, just plain good cooking. If my Grandma likes it, then everyone will like it.

The Italian is where it's at. Skip the Mexican food. But the Italian dishes are great. The pastas are home made, the sauces are home made. I love the garlic bread too. The giant spaghetti noodles and sausage are really good. Service is fine. Nothing fancy. It's a solid place to go when you just don't feel like cooking for the family. Or yourself.

We would like to support a locally-owned restaurant in our neighborhood but Macaroni Grill beats Angie's on so many levels, so we hop in the car and go there instead. It appears Angie's clientele is people who have been coming here for 20 years and appreciate that nothing has changed. I took my kids there recently and most of the other diners were gray-hairs. Food quality and menu are OK but nothing special. Value is good. Ambiance and service are alright but again nothing special. They've had a black stain on their outdoor sign for *years*, I wonder why they don't fix it, it makes the place look tired/neglected. The place needs a "re-boot" on menu and dining room. Restaurant Impossible candidate?

I really enjoyed this neighborhood restaurant. The wide spaghetti is a favorite of my kids who love the huge, thick, homemade noodles. The service was very good and attentive. We will definitely return for the pasta and meatballs. The fried ravioli appetizer was also very tasty. The only part everyone didn't love about their dinner was the guacamole salad. It wasn't bad and we ate it, but it wasn't as good as the rest of the dishes.

I of course had to give Angies another chance as they are a local non chain and my family has good memories here. Since my review things at Angies have changed as well as staff. However the food and service has returned to consistent and great! Im so glad things have gotten back to normal here. You really cant get better food for the price. Jenny, I feel like you really do take your reviews to heart and make sure you're customers are happy. You're service and food has returned to consistent and with the amount of new staff my family is impressed. Thank you for changing. We will continue to support you thanks to your sense of urgency around your guests and their feedback.

A neighborhood restaurant worth to try. I am not going to go through the pros and cons of a neighborhood vs chain restaurants. This local place serves Mexican and Italian dishes. I recommend the meatball/pepperoni pizza. Note: I applaud the owner/s' gesture to give the employees the opportunity to spend a holiday like Easter Sunday with their families. It is good to know there are still business owners that view employees as people and not mere numbers. Thank you Angie's for being in Littleton.

Great food, excellent service. Got the spaghetti (full order) as did the person I was with. Both were tasty and one order was with thick spaghetti noodles and meatballs and the other order was with sausage and fettuccini noodles. House cab was only $4 (crane lake-winery) and garlic bread was very tasty. Got thanked 3X upon leaving for coming in. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Angies!!

My family loves this place! They are always so clean and everything is made fresh to order! The drive-thru option has saved us on more accounts than I can remember. I also love how they support the local high school by catering to the kids all the time! It's nice to have such a great neighborhood favorite!

We just moved to the area and my parents said we had to try this place. I'm not kidding when I say we have been here 4 times in our first two months here. Every time has been great! From the calzone to the chicken marsala. From a party of 4 to 8. I don't have a single complaint. The prices are reasonable the food is good and the atmosphere is great. This is our new neighborhood spot.

My family used to come to Angie's on a weekly basis until about 2+ years ago. The service USED to be great but we gave Angie's at least 5 chances to redeem themselves after a management/ownership change. Our server was rude, inattentive, and didn't seem to care that nobody really touched their food. The quality of the food has taken a nose dive from previous years. The noodles in any pasta dish taste like TV dinner quality and the quality of the meat in all of the dishes we tried was extremely low. We even told our server about our paste negative experiences the last time we ate here. She didn't care and didn't make an effort to make this visit better. Angie's has lost a very large family of regulars - who used to eat at Angie's weekly for 15 years (even when it was a strip mall location)

Great homemade sauce. Great meatballs. Pastas are homemade too. Homemade deserts, apple strudel is very good. I recommend this restaurant.

My daughters and I stumbled upon this place for dinner and couldn't believe what a gem we had found! Great service, pleasent atmosphere, food was tasty. Thumbs up on their homemade pasta, sausage and bread!

Basic Italian, but great marinara, rolls, home made pastas, service. Our wait person told us about the history, the owners, the kitchen staff. We will return! Also had a dessert, strudel/apple.

I don't know why this place has gotten such high reviews, it was gross. Not one thing that I got was good. My tea was warm and watered down, the bread sticks were awful and so was my pasta. I hardly ate any of my food and there was no point in taking it home. I shudder to think what their Mexican food is like. The dining room is kept pretty dark, I imagine you wouldn't want to see what the light would reveal. What a hole, I will never go again.

Food was very good as was the service. Had the Calzone and it was hot and had a good amount of toppings inside. Place was pretty busy when we were there at the time, but food came out quick. Overall it was very good this time around so I'll add another star.

The first time I ate at Angies was in 1994... I remember being happy with the food. Today, they have a new locale, but the food is the same old good cooking. Today, I had the manicotti. The service was quick and attentive (granted, it was only 4pm) and the food came out quickly and piping hot. The pasta is made on site and it shows- aldente prep with that freshly baked bread smell. Their spiced marinara is superb (and I don't waste adjectives), I think it would be a perfect match with a house red or Chianti. Since it was just me, I didn't get the full experience, but hell, I'd put them to the test happily!

Angie's Restaurant is absolutely nothing fancy to look at (though they have a large and interesting collection of antique radios lining the walls, which are worth checking out) but the food was some of the most flavorful, hearty, stick-to-your-ribs Italian grub I've had in ages. The menu is a 50/50ish split between Italian and Mexican faves - nothing out of the ordinary at all. All Italian entrees come with freshly-baked bread, and a choice of salad or homemade Minestrone soup. I chose the Cheese Ravioli/Meatball combo with a side salad ($9.95), and he decided on the "LSR" (Lasagna, Spaghetti and Ravioli) plus a meatball, with a side salad ($12.95 plus 70c for the meatball). Though swimming in dressing, the salads were decent. The bread was a little flavorless but hot and fluffy, and the accompanying marinara was rich and chunky with delicious little nibbly onion pieces. I have to say I LOVED my entree. The meatballs were rich, meaty, delicious but crazily light, and the raviolis were large and oh so cheesy. I wasn't a fan of the wide spaghetti noodles (a little chewy and bland) but the sauce was soooo thick and rich. Yes, it gave me RAGING heartburn, but I didn't care. Apart from the lasagna (which was all noodle and ricotta, and hardly any meat), he was equally happy with his meal. Our server was friendly enough but gave obviously preferential treatment to his two other tables who were clearly regulars. Oh well. AR was an unexpected surprise. It's not a fancy date place nor anywhere you'd go to impress someone, but it was affordable and uber tasty. And their patio has a really gorgeous view of the mountains. I nearly forgot that.

If your looking for Italian food that actually has flavor and zest, this is the place to go. I was born and raised eating Angie's famous thick noodle spaghetti and nothing even compares to it. I haven't had any of the Mexican dishes, but my family and friends order dishes from the Mexican side and never have a complaint!

I love this place. It has become the go-to place for when we want Italian comfort food. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, the service is friendly, and it is a great place to bring kids. Angie's always puts a smile on my face.

Angeles has an identity crisis they serve both Italian and Mexican food and don't do either very well. Their service is sub par and the owner is not very friendly.

I'm shocked to read the four- and five-star reviews of this restaurant. I feel I'm being generous by giving it two stars. I had the eggplant with spaghetti. The meal started with a salad, which was mostly the stems of iceberg lettuce. Disappointing to say the least! I will say the garlic bread was delicious. I found the main meal to be bland, and not even a heavy sprinkling of dried red pepper seemed to help (which I had to ask for ... twice ... it wasn't a normal condiment on the table.) I also asked for freshly ground pepper and cheese, but they didn't have that (!) While I was full at the end of the meal, I felt the portions to be on the small size. I was disappointed with the service, as I had to ask twice (and I was halfway through my meal) before I received the dried red pepper. I don't know why or how Angie's has been around for so long. It was a disappointing experience and I won't go back. There's GOT to be a better Italian restaurant in town, though I haven't found it in the 30 years I've been living in Denver.

don't let the combo of Mexican and Italian fool you..their Italian is great!!!! Plentiful portions, truly fresh baked bread and really homemade tiramasu.

Been to the Blue Parrot in Louisville? I'd say they share recipes. True statement about the sauce. Tad on the spicy side but well worth the heartburn. Nothing a few Tums won't cure. I recommend the spaghetti & meatballs or the calzone with your choice of fillings. Deserts are to sinful. The Italian food is so inviting, we have never ventured over to the Mexican portion of the menu. With all the nice stuff being said, I do feel the place could use a cosmetic makeover - but whatever keeps the prices reasonable works for me. I also recommend you steer clear of ordering any bottled beer unless you are not opposed to drinking yours @ room temperature. It's kept in the cooler with the cake & pies so it doesn't turn the Rocky Mountains on the Coors bottle the slightest shade of blue.

This is one of the few places I get take out from regularly. A common complaint I hear is that the spaghetti sauce is a little too spicy, but there is a wealth of amazing dishes to be had here. Both the Mexican and Italian dishes are exceedingly good, and it's great to have a real family run Italian place in the midst of all the big chain restaurants that plague the nearby area. This Chicken Marsala is one of a kind, and the Rigatoni with Pesto has to be some of the best comfort food a simple pasta lover could ever indulge in.

I don't know if I have ever seen a restaurant move into an old fast food building (used to be a burger king) and make you forget what it once was. It doesn't even seem like it used to be a burger king other than the drive thru. My dad gets italian, I get mexican, my wife eats all the breadsticks. It has just been consistantly good for a long time.

I've gone to Angie's for almost 20 years. They do a great job with providing food for group events. They have been very generous with providing low cost options for charities and groups in the Columbine community.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
