This place was awful! I got the tacos al carbon and they were nothing like the picture. The picture and the description were totally different! I pointed at it because it looked good! They mixed the pico de gallo in with the meat and they were so SPICY and I cant do spicy!!!! When I asked why it wasnt on the side the waitress looked at me like I was retarded!!!! She went to get a manager and he never even showed up and just told the waitress to remake the tacos. She treated us like crap after she brought me new tacos they looked so bad I was afraid to eat them. My fiance was so pissed that we never got a refill on any of our drinks that he went to get a manager. The manager wanted to argue with us about the menu and started raising his voice at us. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.... FOOD WAS JUST AS BAD! NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!

I ate there one time and it didn't seem like they really cared about anything. Place was on the ugly side. Beat up and aged looking. The food was uninspired and it's as if everyone dreaded coming to work. Don't go there if looking for great meal, they don't have that. It's more of a place where you might go if you have a hangover and don't want anybody to mess with you.

4 G's is *almost* the hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant I've been looking for. The food is really good (but not quite great) and their salsa is tasty. I really like that most of the people here seem to remember you after even just one visit. On our second visit, we had the same server who remembered that we ordered queso the first time and asked if we wanted it again. I went back for dinner again the other night, and the manager asked how we liked the salsa for the Salsa Y Salsas Elite party. Nothing like great service to give you warm fuzzies! 4 G's also has great margaritas, and they are on special one night a week but I don't remember which - maybe Mondays? Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

This is a family owned restaurant serving authentic Mexican food and the food is fantastic service is great and the people are always very nice there! Their pricing is very good and their food is excellent give them a try!

It's just ok. Food is ok, atmosphere is just below ok. There are to many other good choices for the same price for us to go here.

Food is mediocre but the decor is seriously terrible. There is something not sanitary about carpet in a restaurant. The place needs fresh paint and the bathrooms need a deep cleaning. I like the breakfast burritos. Green chili is good but tastes like all the other Mexican restaurants in Denver

My wife, son, and I came in about a month ago. I have been remiss on posting the review. Food was good. I am a Mexican food snob, having grown up with unbelievable Mexican food in Arizona, I find it hard to get same in Denver area. Los dos Potrillos, Hacienda, 3 Margaritas, El Senor Sol...ich. Pros: we enjoyed the service, rellenos, and burritos. The inside was spacious and clean. Little noise. Cons: red sauce was more sweet than spicy (the snob part of me...). They charged us for a 2nd container of chips (not insane, just odd). I would give 4 G's another go, if it was 2 minutes from my house...but I will most likely not return, as I continue my Denver search for good Mexican food.

4G's is my FAVORITE mexican restaurant. Salsa is always good and the service is friendly and welcoming. After an upgrade to the dining rooms, 4G's is one of the best places in South Jeffco for parties. Al and the staff at 4G's always serve a good meal for a great price.

Have eaten there several times over the past few years.. Lately I have noticed a decline in cleanliness.. Mainly the mens bathroom.. It used to be clean.. Very clean.. And 3 weeks ago, I went with my mom to 4 G's.. Went to the bathroom to wash my hands and I felt more dirty when I came out than when I went in !! Graffiti on the divider, Splatters all over the over full trash Ben, urinals crusty and nasty.. Yuck !! I was surprised to see this and mentioned it to both of the sons that work there. They said it was a busy weekend bla bla bal.. A week later. I come back with my son and find the bathrooms had not been touched and are even worse !! Done with 4'gs.. Nasty for sure !! Yuck !! Nasty !!!!!!!!! I do not want to get sick !! I do not want anyone to get sick eating there !! Yuck !!

Tried this place for the first time tonight and it was very good. For the appetizer I ordered the con queso and it was awesome. No complaints. The meal, I had the shrimp wrapped in bacon & it tasted great. It did however have cheese in between the shrimp & bacon that I thought was a little heavy cause sometimes the cheese drowned out the flavor of the bacon. But... It was still good. I am def coming back here again. Margarita was perfect & only $4. Service.. was average...Nothing great nothing terrible. Looking forward to ordering more meals from the menu at 4 G's.

Hey it's not fine dining.... It's not expensive... But it's pretty darn good. Their chili relleno's are fried and awesome. I just order two ala carte and nachos. It's a great little place and I love the fact that they let the older people play cards during the day!!! It's awesome!

We were regulars here and always enjoyed it even though it slowly went down hill slightly. Then we saw the health department review on fox 31 where they received an F for dead mice in the kitchen and other red flag issues. We decided to stay away for a few months and hoped they would turn it around. After 3 months away my family and I decided to give them another shot. Wow! What an example of how not to turn your image around. We walked in and were seated in a room that was set up for hot yoga. Are waitress came and immediately seemed annoyed, she couldn't even fake a smile. My family placed there order and I ordered the carne asada. Now I understand that most Mexican restaurants have carne asada and it's usually a thin slice of steak. This was comical! I'm not kidding, this "steak" was 1/16 of an inch thick. It was the kind of super thin steak you lay out and cook then chop into a Philly cheese steak. My only hope was to chop it into bits and make a burrito out of it with the tortillas, beans, and rice they gave me. The waitress who hadn't been seen since she took are order ( the manager delivered are food) came by and asks how things were. I held up this tiny paper thin piece of leather meat and said this seems a bit thin for a steak. "It's paper thin"! Her reply was " carne asada is supposed to be a thin piece of meat". I understand that. Usually about a 1/4 inch maybe 1/2. But paper thin 1/16th hard as leather? She left never to be seen again, while the tables next to us had a super friendly waitress doing everything to make there night the best ever. We finished are meals with empty drinks and what is usually used for French dip being called a steak. We waited for ten minutes in the hot, a/c less room for are bill that would never come or any apology for are lack of satisfaction with the thin shoe leather they say is carne asada. We had to track down the manager to pay are bill and are waitress walked up saying " oh your ready to leave?" Yea you dumb dame, you only took are order to only show yourself and explain to me that carne asada is supposed to be thin, and never showed your dumb face again. Are drinks were empty, the room 100 freaking degrees, and your coworkers walking by us every five minutes to check there tables. I used to love this place but it really has hit the rock bottom and there is plenty of cheap Mexican joints in this town that I don't need to waist another minute of my yelp life in this place.

GREAT FOOD AND FANTASTIC STAFF!!!! A MUST Go To!!! We recently held a Birthday party there for a group of 10 and we were all Very Well pleased with the food, drinks and especially how friendly and kind the owner and his staff were! They constantly made sure we had anything and everything we needed, from more plates, napkins and checked to see if we were happy many times. I highly recommend 4G's in Littleton for any party you may have in mind, or come just for the Great food and wonderful hospitality. The owner knows how to treat his customers and it shows in his staff as well. We'll Definitely be back. Thank You 4G's!!!!

We first went to the 4Gs (aka Four Gs) on S. Federal many years ago. Have not been to the new location at 8th & Colorado Blvd either (not sure it's open yet.) As others have said, this is a "great value for the money" restaurant. They have lunch buffets for around $7-$8 during the week and a Sunday Brunch (not sure of the price though.) I pretty much always get the same thing: Breakfast Burrito with green chile and bacon. It's a plate filler, that also comes with coffee and juice. Wife likes pretty much everything, especially the crispy chile rellenos. Their regular Breakfast Menu is available Open to Close. Love their French Toast breakfast too. I do like their salsa too. It has just the right hint of flavors and not too spicy (and thankfully does not taste like many other restaurants "ketchup" salsa.) I wouldn't call this place a dive either, just a basic restaurant without flash and glitz. A nice local, family owned restaurant. They recently added an outdoor patio with tables. When they downsized to this smaller footprint they put booths/tables in the remodeled bar area but they still have bar stools at the bar and TVs for watching sports. So they have 3 separate seating areas (depending on when you go.) Say Hi to Marie and Rudy if they're working.

This is the best place to go when you shouldn't be going out, but really just don't feel like cooking. It's good, it's cheap, and the service is almost always fast and friendly. You can get a whole lot of food, or not a lot. I usually go for the ala cart enchiladas. Plus chips and delicious salsa and I am a salsa snob.

I wish I could rate as NO stars. I wanted to puke before I even ordered. I never ate here before my visit today. Walked in and the place smelled good. My mom and I where excited to sit down and eat some good food. We did not even have a chance to order food, they brought out our chips and salsa, ate one chip with salsa, and went in for the second, until I pulled it out of the salsa... My chip and salsa had NOT 1, BUT 2 Hairs on one chip!!!!! So Gross. We lost our appetite. Never again will I be eating here. As we walked out all I could think about where all the people eating hairy salsa and chips in this packed restaurant.

Okay I can only speak for the chile relleno burrito because that is the only thing that i have eaten here. Hey I like it and if I know what I like i just keep on getting it. So I like the chile relleno burrito. If you don't know what that it is, it's a chile relleno stuffed inside a burrito. It definitely fills me up. I liked it so much that my mother now gets it almost all the time also. The service is good, their guacamole is okay average nothing spacial, same with the salsa. I like this place never to crowded but enough people to know that it's a rather good place.

This is the first review I have ever written but I was compelled to do so about this restaurant! Most uninspired bland food I have ever tasted. I have had better food in a school cafeteria! The "queso" was nothing but watery runny velveeta (which they some made even more bland) the taco was greeeeasy and the enchilada was flat and flavorless. I could have made better beans from a can and better rice from a box. So so disappointed that by the end I just wanted to cry into my flat flat soda :(

Really nice dude owns the place. The food is okay. The service was really bad. Had to wait 15 mins for someone to come by so we could ask them to refill our drinks (wasn't our server). Same story with chips and salsa. It's been around a long time and is family owned, which is why I gave it 3 instead of 2. My advice to the owner: hire people who are good at serving and start looking to different recipes because the green chile was bland and you can tell a lot about a mexican joint by its green chile.

I live really close to this restaurant, so I have tried it now and then since they opened. I was not impressed for a long time. They improved slowly, but I'm happy to say that last night we had great meals there. The rellenos were crispy and good (I'm very picky about those), the extra-hot sauce yummy, and we took home a container of their salsa.

We eat here regularly and I've tried just but everything on the menu over the years. The food is good and inexpensive, and they make a decent and very reasonably priced margarita. My favorite dishes are their chili rellenos, burritos with green chili and their steaks. Their breakfast buffet on the weekends is really good as well, as is their breakfast in general. The only item I really don't like is their fajitas, but since fajitas are an American invention (they came from Texas), I don't consider this a big problem. If you're looking for a place with good food, excellent prices, wonderful service and to never wait for a table, 4G's is the place for you!

Go for the Mexican Breakfast buffee in the weekends. The prices are cheap and the service is great. Ask for Barb (if she still works there). She is a nice lady that gives you the service you only get from your grandmother. This place is a total hole in the wall and is never over crouded but good stuff!

The breakfast is awesome. There is something about the combination of their green chili and their bacon/eggs that is simply divine. Everyone i have sent to this place has the same reaction after they go - wow. Their breakfast hours need to go back to the way they used to be...10am is too late for breakfast in my book, although they do open early on Fri/Sat/Sun.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Margaritas were awful and the food was worse!
