It was a bit busy and when we sat down the hostess took our drink orders. Our waitress came back with our drinks and told us the kitchen was backed up and food won't be ready for about 35-40 minutes. What! She was nice enough to let us know we can just leave if we didn't want to wait.

Waited 55 minutes for a burnt burger. Awful! Waitress was nice though, she warned us that the cooks sucked and it was going to take 30 minutes for our food, but it ended up being longer. Weird stuff going on with receipt, the drinks were all rang up as a separate meal....possibly some sort of scam to cook the books.

Stopped here for a milkshake. As far as Denny's locations go, this one was pretty sad. Service was fairly slow (although to be fair, they got swamped by a tour bus right after we got seated). The milkshake was okay. The restaurant was dingy and kind of dirty feeling, and the urinal splurged water and almost got me. It was "ok" -- not somewhere I'd go unless there wasn't anywhere else. Try the diner across the street instead.

Stopped here for dinner on my way east along I-80. Food was good but not terrific (about what you'd expect from a Denny's). Service was relatively prompt and the waiter was friendly. I ordered my skillet with no mushrooms but they put them on anyways. However, they realized almost immediately and offered to redo it (props) but I said id just take them off. Also, the floors of the restaurant could have used a good cleaning and the bathroom wasn't terrible but could have been cleaned too. Although the restaurant was relatively empty of customers the staff seemed overwhelmed.

I'm giving this Denny's four stars in hopes it'll raise the current rating just a bit. We just popped in for breakfast, and while sure, it's a diner off the highway with the usual expected level of seediness, the service was great (Darlene rocked our socks), the food was hot and fresh, and we had no complaints beyond the bathrooms being in need of a cleaning. If the place was gross a few months ago, they've definitely stepped up their game since. Well done! :)

Took 45 minutes to get our food and then they didn't deliver what we ordered. Bathroom was gross...I got back flow splashed from the urinal when the toilet was flushed.

Our waitress was very nice and the food was good but we waited quite a long time for our food which was surprising because it was late on a Sunday night and t there weren't many people in the place

The reviews so far had not been very favorable but we decided to give it a try anyway! I would rate the food as fair but not fantastic ! Great service! It was fast and waitress Darlene was sweet and attentive!

The bathroom was disgusting, the dishes were dirty. I wanted to walk out as soon as I was seated. The service was ok only one waitress working, and no sign of a manager. The cleanliness of this dennys is actually kind of scary.

The worst dining experience I have ever had. My group of 8 walked in and were greeted by a very rude manager. As we were ordering the waitress told us they were out of a few things so we had to modify our orders. We would have left at that point but we were in a rush. About an hour later our food came out cold, some burnt, and 6 of 8 plates were incorrect. Not only were they wrong but mine was covered in croutons, being celiac this was a problem. We asked our waitress if we could speak with the manager but were denied because she was in the back cooking the poor excuse for a meal that was given to us. Would have given it a 0 star rating but it's not an option.

We had a lot of options but thought Denny's might be the best for Limon, pronounced Lie-men not with a Spanish accent like how I pronounced it. Anyways Denny's is typically good road trip food and late night food right, wrong. The water tasted a little funny, the table was a little dirty and the place was kind of scary. Since we decided fried food was needed so the sampler appetizer of chicken, onion rings and mozzarella sticks were ordered to start with. I had the club, no fries and a side dinner salad, I still needed some greens. Louise had a BLT minus the T, B extra crispy, hash browns and a dinner salad as well. Our salads arrive, with cherry tomatoes which looked a little wrinkled to me, so I quickly took them off my salad along with the cucumbers. This left me with some croutons, iceberg, carrots and cheese it worked. My club arrived sans the fries which made me happy but it was also sans the tomatoes, apparently they didn't have FDA approved tomato tomatoes only cherry tomatoes, I was ok with that. Louise's BL arrived with her hash browns but the bacon was super fatty and not crispy at all. We asked about our appetizer and he runs to the kitchen, yells one sampler stat. Dude forgot to put the order in and never apologized for it. It finally arrives, everything is hot and tasty and I switch from my club that was just meh to the chicken and onion rings which were better but not fantastic. If you come here don't use the ladies room it's kind of gross, actually it's more than just kind of it is gross. The employees here are also kind of scary and gross and look like they just got out of rehab, next time I'm in Limon, CO I'm stopping at Arby's not Denny's and you should too.

Roadside diner, basically. 2.25 stars (I have my own system - deal with it). But can it be healthful to eat here? Hmmm, let's see... Certainly it's not the first place I would stop on most occasions. But what can I say - I often fall victim to the Generic-a branding of the American food service industry in little known places like Limon. I looked up another listing of reviews of Limon restaurants and found a place called Ruby's, but did not feel it had much going for it beyond a specialty dessert. At least here I had sense of the Denny's offerings. Being somewhat health conscious myself, I like to play a little game of seeing if I can find a satisfying meal of around 550 calories at American joints like this. It's a fun game, which I could easily win at Denny's with two eggs and toast, but that's not really a meal and the cholesterol alone in that combo is another worry unto itself. I much prefer IHOP for this game. They actually consider the entire meal - calories, fat and sodium on their "healthier" menu. Denny's "health" considerations only address fat content. In their "Fit Fare" program it seems we need only worry about fat. We all should know better by now and calories are important too. In fact, the average Denny's breakfast entree is over 900 calories and LOADED with sodi-yum! The nutri-stats on some dishes are staggering - i.e., Super Grand Slamwich.... drumroll please... 1329 cal, 89 g fat, and 3020mg of sodium! How do people survive after this? I would probably shave a couple years off my life if I ate this way. Let's remember folks the average daily intake is around 2200 give or take for activity, age, gender.. you know. How about more than 50% of that in one meal? Go Denny's! Anyway, for about twice the cost of a traditional breakfast entree, I managed to combine an a la carte meal of turkey bacon, two eggs (they did not have EggBeaters and egg whites only seemed like too much to ask for with this staff) and wheat pancakes. With a cup of herbal tea (the only one option of herbal tea presented to me was an orange something, I didn't complain), my share of the meal was around 626 calories, 25g of fat (choke!) and 1494mg of sodium (omg!) all for just $12.00. I would have faired better with just one egg. Still, quite pricey for b-fast. But speaking of fast, the service was not. I ordered and was surprised to find that it took almost 25 minutes to get my food. However, I was impressed that they had sugar free syrup when I asked them. But, I was clearly the first to open the bottle of it. I should've gotten a prize for this. The staff was scary, except for this most charming cook named Mike. Funny thing was that I ran into him in the mostly clean men's room and started talking to him about the meal and how busy they were. Then I came to find out he couldn't hear me because he is deaf. We shared a laugh and I told him I did like the food when he asked about it how it was. I know a little sign language and so we did understand each other without having have to write in spurts by fogging the mirror. He was very nice and judging from how slammed (no Denny's pun intended) they were, he seemed ready for a break, which he was about to enjoy. What a great guy! Earlier, one of the waitresses was nearly screaming into the kitchen, which I thought was rude. But after meeting the cook Mike, I understand why she may have been doing so. Though I found her behavior inappropriate when her co-worker broke a coffee cup after dropping it. At that point, she raised her arms and boldly and emphatically announced to the entire restaurant "it wasn't me" - not with the typical playful tone of such incidents one sees of these. No, this woman was condescending with a capital "B-itch"! It seemed more than demeaning to the employee that broke the cup. With all the tattoos and piercings of the entire staff, I would have to agree with the previous reviewer that most looked like they were just out on a prison release program or that there was popular tattoo salon in town.. Except for the charming Mike. He was tattoo less. Clearly he didn't get memo on the tattoo joints. Just as well. It made him more charming. .....Hmm, is he married? Am I gay? (A topic for a later review.) Anyway, I suppose the food is not that bad, and it's a nice enough little place, but I am not sure I'd stop here again soon unless I'll be running a marathon later in the day where I can expel all that sodium. And I did manage a decent healthy-like meal, at a high price (in these parts) with a little effort, creativity and tolerance. I feel better for it.

I had a feeling that we should turn around and walk out as we waited to be seated. The patrons didn't seem too happy. Normally, you see people smiling and happy when they eat, but here they were not smiling and looked a bit grumpy. This was the worst service I ever witnessed at a Denny's. The male waiter had a very bad attitude. Almost as if we were putting him out. I heard him talking inappropriately about a patron. I observed him lighting up a cigarette in the food preparation area then walked through the restaurant to go smoke it. The food took about 35 minutes to get us even though they were not very busy. The people next to us had been waiting more than 45 minutes. They had to put their order in again. It took another 20 minutes for their meals to come out. The food tasted OK for a Denny's, but it couldn't overcome the extremely bad service.

This place is totally disgusting! We also thought that Denny's would be safe, and it looked all cute with it's 50's diner theme, HOWEVER, all of us had something really wrong with our food. I swear the potatoes they served me were actually from the 50's. Eggs were like rubber, sausage, omg i didn't know that soooo much could go wrong with one little breakfast! I will never ever ever stop in limon to eat again, because on the way back we had an aweful experience with mickey D's. NEVER AGAIN!
