My family and I have been customers of Tom's for over a decade. He consistently carries the most fresh seasonal fish and seafood, as well as special offerings from time to time such as California sourdough bread, natural cured bacon, dry aged beef, and if you are lucky, his homemade clam chowder. Prices are on par with whole foods, but rest assured that the quality of Tom's offerings generally exceed that of whole foods - a great value. All of that said, my favorite thing about Tom's is the man himself! Tom is an engaging storyteller and he has an amazing and diverse background. Ask him about himself and you will undoubtedly come away moved by his experience, sometimes comedic, sometimes dramatic. In a world that doesn't place much weight on face-to-face interaction, Tom is a breath of fresh air. So what are you waiting for - head to Tom's Seafood! But bring cash or check, he doesn't take credit!

Tom goes the extra mile to have the most natural and freshest seafood around. He knows where his fish comes from and that it was responsible harvested. Wonderfully dedicated to his craft.

I drive Alameda every day on my commute, and had noticed this little shop months ago, but never stopped in until I had a hankering for fish last week. This tiny spot is run by a very cordial gentleman who will help you make a decision about the fish to buy (light on the palate, really fishy or somewhere in between) and the amount to purchase (I told him "three hungry people my size"). The product is much more flavorful than what you find at the big grocery chains and much less expensive than Whole Foods. I called Tom's today and asked if he had any live lobsters in stock, and he said no, but to give him a day's notice and he'll have it waiting for me. That's the kind of service that will send me back to his establishment time and time again. Cash and check only - no credit cards.

Toms is the best fresh seafood in Denver. I have had just about everything he has and it has all been spectacular. The scallops are sweet and buttery, the albacore is amazing, the mussels are probably the best ive had from a market. He also has things like lox, bacon and aged ribeye steaks. MMMM love Tom's. He pretty much knows everything there is to know about seafood, so feel free to pick his brain if you have any questions. I grew up in Nor Cal so Im picky about seafood. Being able to get seafood this good in landlocked Colorado is really great.

Best fish monger in Colorado. Forget Whole Foods - Tom is the real deal. Today we got a king crab leg, Hawaiian opah, mussels, shrimp, halibut & scallops. Everything is fresh (except crab). Tom will do special orders with a wee bit of notice. He has excellent storage tips & cooking advice. Love coming here.

A great fish market. And they have walleye, (from the Great Lakes)! That's all I really need sometimes. Cash or check only please.

Tom's is a great local treasure. He's the sole proprietor and cares about quality. If you need something special and he's not carrying it at the time, just let him know and he'll order it in.

I bought two live lobsters from Tom last year for Valentine's Day and it was such a great experience. The lobsters were fresh and delicious and it was a memorable (and a little scary) experience cooking and eating them with my wife. This year we also plan to get some more seafood from Tom and have a nice dinner in on Valentine's Day. Thanks Tom!

This is our source for fresh mussels and smoked salmon. The mussels are fresh, plump, and super tender. Even, sometimes, I overcooked them by accident, they didn't shrink and turn into chewy mussel jerky like mussels from other super markets. His pricing is relatively low, but the quality is superb. *** Cash and checks only. No credit cards. A closest ATM nearby is Shamrock gas station at Bear Creek Blvd and Morrison Rd

Tom's is a local treasure trove of the freshest seafood around. If he doesn't have what you want on ice, he will troll his suppliers for the best available. If he feels like the quality is not up to par, he will recommend an excellent substitute. Seafood is his passion, as you'll find out if you start a conversation about anything seafood-related. Tom's is not just about fresh seafood, however...look in the freezer for his prepared gumbo and chowder, and in the secondary display case for specialties like locally smoked fish and cured beef.

I found Tom's when hunting for live lobsters for a Birthday celebration and a Safeway Seafood clerk sent me over. I have now been going to Tom's for several years and have NEVER been disappointed. I live near downtown and happily make the drive whenever I want something special. His prices are reasonable for the quality. I won't even bother with Whole Food's seafood anymore - often times it looks great but too often disappoints. I buy fish from Tom's that I use for sushi, sashimi, crudo and very lightly marinated Ceviche and have always been absolutely thrilled!! His filets are cut beautifully and I never get stringy connective tissue bits in the tuna or salmon. Everything always smells fresh and tastes delicious! Whenever I am having a party or other special occasion I call Tom, tell him what I'm looking for and let him help me figure out what to order. He is a genius about figuring out portions. He is happy to make suggestions about preparing the fish and often has beautiful cuts of beef available for a quick surf and turf. Tom's may be one of the last places left in the Metro area that can provide things like salt cod and lutefisk. If you want something special I recommend you call ahead and order in advance. His oysters are SO GOOD that they knocked the socks off a friend from the East Coast visiting last Spring. I am always proud to serve the fish I get from Tom's.
