The name is accurate. It is a dive, which can be great. However, a few things need to happen. You still need good food and service. The dive fell short on both. The food was painfully slow (my app eventually showed up with my main). The one bartender was preoccupied with tasks other than patrons. The food was barely average.

Fun! Thumpin' jukebox at night in a place barely larger than a Highlands Ranch living room. They take credit cards, have a solo pool table, and a shockingly normal crowd for Colfax! Four flat screens for games and friendly staff on our visit. Pool tourneys on Saturday nights. Try the Starburst shot!

let me start by saying that it is not what you expect to walk into. surely it isn't a dive bar by common standards, but a great bar non the less. the dive bar's usual patrons are an older but very interesting crowd. Try going on one of the karaoke nights! especially if you are sick of watching prissy, sugar drink swilling college kids sing call me maybe and and I put your picture away... my personal favorite story from this bar is from one of the regulars, telling about the day she was married to her husband, and the justice of the peace asked that they have the ceremony at his home. placing them in front of the television and moving them slightly apart so he could watch the football game.

I ordered the loaded fries, I was craving hamburger fries and they were the closest I could find. I added a few extra things to the loaded fries and it was anazing, totally satiated my craving, generous portions not to mention the delivery driver was quite personable. This is my new go to for hamburger fries! :)

I just ordered dinner from The Dive Bar via grubhub and I must say I was.presently surprised! Normally when you order a burger and fries it comes luke warm and soggy. This burger and fries came perfectly hot, and delicious as well! I'll be ordering again and even stopping in when I have the time!

I haven't been into this place since it was Benny's. The Dive is quite an improvement. The jalapeno popper pizza sounded interesting and I was not disappointed. Almost too much for one person, but the crispy crust and great combo of toppings kept me going. Definitely on my repeat visit list. Most of the seats at the bar were filled with regulars and they were very entertaining. My neighbors were friendly and I could probably have joined them for the rest of the afternoon if I didn't have to go back to work. Check it out if you're way out on West Colfax.

Oh my - how best to describe The Dive Bar and Grill? Looks better from the outside than the inside. And the outside looks pretty divey. Which tells you a lot about the inside. Tacky has been used in other reviews. Carpet has also been commented on by others - definitely looks like it hasn't been cleaned since dinosaurs walked the earth. I'd be more critical of the carpet than the decor - clean is pretty hard to compromise on. Tacky, on the other hand - well, one person's tacky is another person's quaint, or unique, or charming, or funky - you get my drift. In a weird sort of way, an establishment named The Dive Bar and Grill should be divey - seriously - and to give it a positive reframe, they've done quite a fine job! But here's the surprise - the food is really good. We had burgers and pizza and they were both delicious. I haven't tried them, but they have other sandwiches, wraps, wings and Mexican food on the menu, and based on the pizza and burgers, my money says they're all likely to be pretty good. Value was also good - burgers and pizza for a ten dollar bill, give or take a dollar. The bartender was also our wait person and she was pleasant and helpful. And you definitely know when your food is coming - apparently the kitchen is in a "walkout basement" and is delivered "upstairs" by a creaky old dumbwaiter that sounds like it previously served in a haunted mansion somewhere. I do have one bone of contention with The Dive - smoking. No one was smoking in the bar, but there is an attached patio with an open door into the bar, and the bar was as thick with smoke as had people been smoking in the bar itself. I know that Lakewood smoking ordinances allow smoking on outdoor patios, but please, keep the door closed and the smoke on the patio, and don't pollute the lungs of the rest of us. Beyond that, accept the fact that the motif is (probably intentionally) divey (and is done very well I must say!) and the food is good and inexpensive, let the Dive Bar and Grill be what it is, and relax and enjoy. I will go back - if they clean the carpet and deal with the cigarette smoke, I'd probably even consider 4 Yelp stars.

This seems like a place where everybody knows your name - for the locals. When my husband and I walked in we were definitely stared out for a couple of awkward minutes. :) We ordered a pizza and it was okay. The two waitresses were friendly enough. Interesting experience all together.

I know it sounds ridiculous but I didn't think The Dive Bar would be so....divey. From their yelp reviews, their sign and the menu online it looked pretty nice actually. A friend and I pulled up to grab lunch here today and we were like "Oh God. Where are we?" The outside looks like complete s**t. The inside was dark, had some older patrons sitting around drinking beer in the middle of the day. There was a pool table, lots of tacky beer decor, and very gross flooring. This is a dive bar alright. We debated for 10 minutes if we should really trust eating here. The very friendly, attentive young bartender assured us that the food there is actually quite good. With a limited amount of time and other places around we decided to go for it. We started with the Diablo Bites which were sooo good but very small for $7. Then I had the buffalo chicken wrap, $7.50 and my friend had tacos which were $1 each on special today. The food was surprisingly extremely good. I saw lots of quality beers on tap. They also have $1 jello shots. Yup, it's that kind of place. This is definitely a dive bar. Very good food for what you'd expect but it feels wrong to come in here and not get drunk.

I would like to say this place is not without its charms, but that would be stretching the truth a tad. After seeing the generally positive reviews, I arranged to meet a couple friends here for a drink and possibly a bite. We had one drink and then left. The Good: The bartender was friendly. She was on the ball and provided good service. The selection of craft beers was decent, but the list on the wall was out of date. Happy Hour pricing was not too shabby. The Bad: No Air Conditioning (or if they had it, it was not running). I like it colder than most people, and I was dripping from the moment I entered at 6:30pm on a hot September day. My other friend keeps his house around 76 degrees (crazy hot) year round and even he was overly warm. It was somewhere in mid-80s by my sweaty estimate. The decor of painted cinder-blocks and worn furnishings left something to be desired (yes, I realize the word "dive" appears in the name of this joint). The Ugly: My beer was warm. I don't think it was super cold coming out of the tap, but when it hit an 85 degree glass in an 85 degree room, it just gave up.

I really enjoyed this place when I stayed in Lakewood for work. I even took my other half here when he came into town for a visit. The bartenders are always great and they just have a good friendly atmosphere. If your not a jerk and you would love to sip on a good drink for cheap, this is the place. They have a pool table and a large patio. Don't come here with illusions of grandeur, the name says it all and its fantastic. Good wings!

We were staying in the area for a wedding and were planning on ordering from GrubHub. We saw The Dive Bar's good reviews and decided to give it a shot. We ordered fried mushrooms, 3 tacos, a grilled chicken caesar salad, and soda. Everything was pretty good! I was happy with my salad and mushrooms and my boyfriend liked his tacos. They also delivered right to our hotel room, which we were very happy about! If we were in the area again, we would definitely order from The Dive Bar again!

As a business owner I order lunch 2-3 times a week and always support local restaurants. I found this place and had an order of chicken wings and other things delivered. Right off the bat the bleu cheese was rancid. I was worried about the wings if they cant even get dressing right. The wings had a weird taste to them and the wing sauce had kick but no taste. There is no excuse for bland wing sauce. You can go to King Soopers and buy pre made sauce that tastes beyter than this. What a waste of 20 bucks. Will never give this place another cent. Disgusting.

Honestly, every thing I've eaten here has surpassed my expectations. Tacos are the bomb on Tuesday and Thursday. Order 6 you will want more. Eating the pizza right now and I usually pass on the crust... This crust is fucking awesome. I will definitely get it again. Signature Dive on In is tasty as well.... this is a dive bar with great food.

I'm on the fence about this place. I'm a fan of them delivering and being able to easily order and pay from my Eat24 app and they always arrive much sooner than the app estimates. Dive Burger and chili cheese fries, both delicious. The taco salad and smothered burrito left something to be desired though. Ordering the smothered burrito is equivalent to ordering a pound of unseasoned hamburger meat, because that's basically what you get. Sure there's a tortilla and green chili on top but the bland meat is literally the ONLY thing inside the burrito and is primarily what you taste. I found myself wishing I had ordered a bean burrito instead and ended up with half a plate of nothing but ground beef left. This is also the problem with the taco salad, the bland meat. At least there were other things in the salad, but seriously throw in some salt, some seasonings, even one of those freakin packets of Mexican seasoning from the grocery store. Anything to add some more flavor to this incredibly dry, bland meat. I'm sure I will still order from The Dive Bar because of the convenience and the good menu items we have had, but I will certainly be bypassing the Mexican food section next time.

They sure named this place right. It is the epitome of a dive bar in every way except for one. They have a pretty good menu with a lot of choices that are much more than just bar food. Of course, if you want bar food, you can get that, but we saw the sign on the wall advertising "Brick Oven" pizza, and decided to give it a try. We were very happy with what we were served. They only come in the 12" size which I think is about enough for one person, and, for that price, you get one topping. I had the mushroom, and my wife had the roasted pepper. It's a white crust, and it's thin. The sauce was tasty, and there was neither too much, nor too little. It was just right. The mushrooms, surprisingly enough, were fresh. A lot of places like this use canned that taste like rubber. These were good. They also bring out the crushed red pepper, the parmesan cheese, the salt and the pepper to help you top yours off even more. To top that off, they have specials on beer. I got a good draw of Bud Light for just $2.50. They have other specials every day of the week, and a whole list of specials for Broncos games. You can do alright here, and not spend a whole lot of money. Now, don't expect the ambience to be any more than exactly what they are, "Dive Bar," but, if that doesn't bother you, you'll be happy with the good, reasonably priced food, and low cost beverages. Great for Happy Hour. Great service, too, and you can order on line.

This place is super quirky (in a good way). We got there and the owner greeted us each as we walked in. The live band playing was really good, I wish we had gotten there sooner to see more of their set. It's a tiny place, but it has a lot of charm. The owner is clearly working very hard to improve the place, he told us he had just purchased new taps with high-quality beer. A little more time and some new carpet and this place will be a neighborhood gem.

Not happy with this place and have decided we will not be returning. The late night bartender. Maybe her name is Erin? Well she's my biggest complaint. She is not a good bartender or even mediocre at that, she's down right bad. She freaks out under pressure when the bars barely filled. Forgets orders, and tells people rudely to "wait one second I'm busy" it's like hello you didn't even finish with my order and you're running off shushing me?! You're a bartender multitasking should be second nature. I also found her to be very unprofessional in her demeanor. When a customer asks how your night is going, don't tell us with a worried and anxious tone "it's okay" and shrug your shoulders like you're about to have a panic attack. My god! I came here because my boyfriend swore it was worth it and begged me enough times after I refused for months. First time we came we ordered a few drinks and an order of onion rings. They were literally burnt to a dark brown and the onion had actually disintegrated into nothing. We asked Erin(?) for napkins because you know people use those and she did the whole "uh yeah one minute I'm busy" BS. 10 minutes later no napkins and oh guess what miss panic attack forgot again. 2nd and last time we will come in same thing happened with napkins, acted like it was a problem to get them and then oh guess what she forgot. Then I asked for some salsa for the gnarly looking quesadilla. She looks at me and is like "you know I have to call down for it" so!!!! again you're a bartender do your job. I don't care if you have to order it. That's what you're paid to do. Anyways definitely not coming back. The food plain sucks, service sucks and I don't feel like wasting my time in there quite frankly.

Make sure to get an itemized receipt because the bartenders are shifty! If you aren't a"local" or regular you will be shut out and treated like shit ....oh yea and fleeced for money. The food....well you have to be completely drunk to say it's any good.

People who are envious of others and can't get no action they seek from a girl who tends bar should keep their rude comments. Off a social page that is intended for the bars reviews , from people who have sense enough to write a review about the bar. And not something personal...

the beer is cold and cheap and I saw Dallas lose to Green Bay. All in all not a bad choice. Not a "real" grill, though - pizza, cold sandwiches fries and wings - yep that's the "Grill"

This is my favorite local pub for karaoke, good people and cold drinks. They recently expanded their food menu and now it's my favorite place for bar food. Their specialty is homemade pizza cooked in their brick oven but my favorites are the Dive Burger (I ask for mine with onion and jalapeno) and the hand-dipped homemade onion rings.

I came here with my bf on a Saturday night. It cracks me up that this bar is in fact called The Dive Bar. Can you really be a dive bar simply by naming the business as such? Perhaps so. In this case, dive bar seems to be an appropriate moniker. I'm not one for down and dirty, gritty bars and this place wasn't terrible, but it was definitely worn, as were several of its clientele. One of my boyfriend's co-workers had a birthday gathering here. When we entered the bar, we found our party close to the door, with several tables pushed together. The bar was surprisingly large upon entrance and also has a second room that extends the size of the bar. There were TVs playing, but lucky us, Saturday night is Karaoke night from 9 pm-1 am. Yay! I've never thought karaoke was for me and although I'd previously never experienced, I can now confirm that there is no need for anyone to ever hear my tone-deaf self singing. And honestly several of the people who continued to get up and sing multiple times should have been stopped. No one should have been subjected to the caterwauling of some of its patrons. Somehow I survived, but we only stayed for a couple of hours and then escaped. I opted for water, as I wasn't too sure about the drinks being served. The bf ordered a screwdriver and the orange, was very vibrant, unlike any oranges found in nature. It was quite a weird drink, but he still ordered a second drink, brave soul that he was. While I didn't find this place one that I would return, it wasn't horrible. I have to say that the service was excellent and the manager was very friendly and helpful. He came over and added more tables to our group as more people arrived and to make sure our party was out of the path of the karaoke table which was right across the way from where we were sitting. He was so nice and thanked us for coming in on our way out.

I love the dive bar specially now that the grill is operational. Now I don't have to go anywhere else for food they have everything I need in one stop. They are always having something fun going on from pool league, contests to live bands the dive bar is a great place to hang out. Mike the owner is super friendly and always makes it a point to introduce and welcome new patrons and he does his best to remember your name. Broncos games are fun they raffle off a jersey every game with raffle tickets you earn from buying drinks or food. The bar is quaint but homey and feels larger than it is. Beer is cheap and well drinks strong and delicious. Even with the sometimes odd patrons the dive bar is a great place to spend your evenings.

Cheap drinks, dirty glasses, and some of the biggest freaks I've encountered in Denver. This is perhaps the most appropriately-named establishment I have ever visited (I mean that in a mostly good way). Go there with with the right thirst and attitude and I bet you'll have a good time. And if not, you'll still have money in your pocket for some Taco Bell across the street.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

After leaving my last review the owner contacted me and corrected the issue. Mike was very nice and went above and beyond to fix the problem! They have great friend pickles!

I haven't been in here yet but I love that they deliver all comfort foods. It's amazingly convenient and the drivers have always been very nice. And I love their chili fries! Yum! Thanks guys! Keep up the good work :)
