Great Thai food for dine in and take out. One of my favorite restaurants. The Tom Yum soup is aromatic, spicy, and flavorful. This soup is so good, I swear it can cure colds! Another one of my favorite dishes here is the Satay Chicken. The Thai Tea is awesome too. The family that runs the restaurant is friendly and really cares about their customers. Beautiful carved decorations. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the Lakewood, Littleton area.

My fiance and I love this place. If you want ambiance this is not the place for you. If you want delicious food and excellent service this place is for you. Crab cheese wontons and chicken satae are my go to dinner choice. My fiance loves the Pad Thai, they'll make any dish as spicy or mild as you want. We don't even get menus, the owner knows our order every time we come in.

I'm completely torn in writing this review. I want to rate this more highly than three stars, but in actuality three stars is exactly what it deserves. That being said, support local restaurants, eat here, and enjoy your meal. The first thing that needs to be mentioned, which is the first thing anyone must notice, is the interior decor. This restaurant reminds me of my little sister's bedroom when she was six: PINK! The walls are pink, the decor is pink, everything is pink and, to be honest, a little bit strange. Overlook the interior. It's weird, but it's not offensive. Next - the service is really top notch. Several 'more experienced' women were working during lunch and both were very friendly and helpful. The prices for food (at least for lunch) are totally reasonable. The food itself was good but not earth-shattering. This is to Thai food what most Chinese restaurants are to Chinese food. It tastes good, but you have to feel as though its catered to less adventurous eaters. E.g. I ordered my lunch 'hot' which ordinarily means something at a Thai restaurant, but I detected almost no spice at all. Pad Thai is not the best Thai restaurant in town, but it is a nice little family run place that should develop a loyal patronage from the community.

My favorite dish is the Massaman Curry. This restaurant is fantastic and I have been going here for the last 14 years and the staff is the same. I come in, sit down, and am asked if I'd like the usual. Excellent service, delicious food (best Wantons ever), and end you wonderful experience with Coconut Ice Cream with Sticky Rice!

I was craving pad thair for lunch and my normal place that's close by was closed on Sundays. The service was friendly and quick. I ordered pad thai and the serving was a little smaller than I had expected after reading some other reviews. The pad thai was ok, but nothing special. I usually like a squeeze of lime, but there wasn't one served on the plate. The bean sprouts were really fresh tasting, but I didn't care for the chicken in the dish. My friend had ordered the chicken satay and really enjoyed her dish. I had a taste and the flavor was really good.

Don't let the dated decor fool you. The food is authentic and exquisite. Kind of hidden in the plaza; just look for the Red Robbin, they are across the parking lot.

The pictures you see here make it seem ALOT nicer. I wish I had taken pictures but it looks more like a 70's diner. It's very plain, boring and cluttered. The cute hostess...well is cute, and old and dresses like she is at home (you know not matching, ugly, old worn clothes. no make-up, hair is cut really short no style) I mean, you do know you are in retail? The old, small, TV had a cool antenna (sarcasm here). They do have beer but it is on a itty bitty menu on the table. It is not even mentioned anywhere on their big menu. On to the food. We ordered spring rolls one of our faves. I think the chef (? definitely not classically trained) was confused. They used the wrapper of fried rolls not the typical spring roll. They heated the sauce and poured it on the rolls. Plus, just like you would do for your kids, they were cute into bite size pieces. Weird. I couldn't get over the wrapper and the heated sauce. Not good. I ordered Thai spicy and she asked me if I was sure. I was like, again, I'm not a child and I've been eating Thai food (Thai spicey + for at least 10 years) So, yea, I'm sure. I ordered the Pad Ka Prao with catfish. My husband ordered catfish in curry sauce. Sadly, both dishes had the same sauce. It didn't look like curry to me. He said it was ok and wouldn't order it again. My dish was ok, pretty bland, I did like that it had jalapeños, but I hate it when they sprinkle red peppers just to make it spicier. It was spicy but not Thai Spicey. Not even close. The rice came in a cool silver bowl and was good. Overall it was ok. I've definitely had better (Monkey Thai) and had worse (Tommy Thai - ugh). I will give it a second chance if it isn't better, we won't be going back.

Creamy wontons and very good Pad Thai and garlic pepper chicken, they were out of the stuffed squid though which was disappointing. I will be back to try it!

Have you eaten in at a food stall in Thailand? I have and the flavor, dish size and smells brought me back. It's just good (in my opinion) authentic Thai food that is made to order. Get over the decor, you're there to feed your mouth (they have pictures of the king, which in my books is always a good sign for authentic Thai, proven correct again after eating here). Review based on chicken Panang and sriracha beef.

Arrived here because Star Thai was closed. Service fast. Quality of food great. Tried the Green Papaya Salad from review recommendations, it was yummy. Ordered Massaman chicken and beef; Garlic Pepper Chicken. Beef excellent, Garlic dish delicious, chicken Massaman not so great. Portions of meat in dishes could have been greater and price was more than I would have expected. Lunch price deal looks like better opportunity.

My wife and I have been getting take out here for fifteen years now. The food is authentic and delicious. The manager always seems to recognize our voice on the phone and knows our usual order. My wife is a huge fan of the crab cheese wontons. Add them to your order for a special treat.

This was bad enough that I had to stop what I was doing to yelp about it. Worst part was poor food. I ordered entrees of chicken fried rice and shrimp tempura. Cant decide which was worse but I didn't eat much of either. Tiny portions, poor taste. The tempura was 80% vegetables. The breading was flavorless and greasy. I checked with the server to make sure I got what I ordered (I honestly thought she misunderstood) and she made a big deal explaining vegetables are good for you and it is customary for Chinese to serve tempura with a vegetables not just the shrimp. She then pointed to each of the 4 shrimp to assure me it was "shrimp tempura". She wanted to stay and lecture me on it longer than I cared to hear about. I wasn't up to debate it. Inside of the thick flavorless greasy breading was tiny slivers of shrimp. The small portion of chicken fried rice was mainly dark chicken with a tiny amount of rice. It was very greasy and flavorless. Poor quality food is the best I can explain. Food is the most important to me but I will share that the atmosphere was the most outdated place I've ever eaten at. Severely worn, old and dirty 1960s or older. The glass on the tables was very scratched. The wood furniture was very worn and in need of being restored or painted. It was a very depressing atmosphere. This is the type of experience that makes me want to stick with my trusty favorite places and not venture out when hungry. Within 10 minutes of eating I got a bad headache - not sure if its from an additive or the stress of the experience.

After a terrible experience at Thai restaurant in Hawaii, I refused to try any new Thai restaurants. After 10 years my husband got me to try this little place, I went for it. We proceeded to eat here 3 times in the following month. It became an addiction like no other. That was 3 years ago, I still LOVE this place! The ladies are wonderful and our food is always fresh. Crab cheese wontons are fantastic! I am hooked on the pad phrik Pao (AKA royal chilli), my husband always gets pad Thai and our kids like to order something new every time. These people and their food are incredible, I live 30 miles away now but still worth the drive, especially with reasonable prices. This place is so good, their only form of advertisement is word of mouth.... Let that sink in :)

Been going here for years. I have yet to find a Thai place in Denver that is this good. Love that they make it extra spicy for me. The sisters who run it are like family to me. Love love love this place!

I have moved to Portland, but love this thai restaurant. They have my all time favorite coconut soup, coconut ice cream and mango with sticky rice. Having grown up on the area we ate here a lot, the staff is so nice and the food and prices can't be beat. I have tried many thai restaurants since and can't find one anywhere I like as well. Highly recommended!!

We went here for lunch while my mum was in town for my graduation weekend. Since no one in my family can ever make a decision re: food when she's visiting (which to me makes more sense for my mom to pick since I live here and can have whatever anytime), I picked Pad Thai. It was just a hop, skip, and a jump down from the Belmar movie theatre we'd be seeing a matinee at, so off we went. I ordered one vegetarian egg roll for my appetizer; it was cabbage and carrots with a dipping sauce. My mom and The Dude split an order of crab-cheese wontons. For our mains, I ordered yellow curry with tofu, my sister got a mixed vegetable dish, Dude got chicken pad thai, and my mom ordered cabbage pad thai with chicken. My mom's dish was unique in that it was stir-fried cabbage instead of noodles (good for those looking for a low-carb option); she said it was good. And while I ordered my curry medium-spicy, there was barely any heat to it. In fact, the only flavor I was really getting from it was salt. It was unpleasantly salty to me. My sister and The Dude both enjoyed their dishes, but the taste I had of my sister's was received the same as my own: salty salty salty. Not exactly something I'll go out of my way for again, that's for sure. It's unfortunate because I like that it's a mom-and-pop (and they obviously have their following because they've been around for a while), but between the lack of the heat and the over abundance of salt coming through in dishes that are just so-so, I'm not sure I'll be visiting again. On the plus side, they were VERY efficient at refilling our water glasses constantly.

If I were to rate this place on its decor, it would most definitely rank 2 or below. However, it's the great flavor of their dishes that I'm rating. They have the BEST and most flavorful chicken tom kha gai soup I've ever had. My husband always gets the pad thai woon sen, which I'm always stealing a taste or several off his plate. Yes, this place is horribly outdated in decor and for some unknown reason they have yet to fix their business sign out front.. it's unfortunate that a lot of people will be turned off by the aesthetics, but once they try the food, they always come back. The ladies in there are nice and always remember their regulars, who often order takeout. Try it! If nothing else, get the tom kha gai soup!!! Sooo yummy!!

The place is growing stale with time. My handful of trips here the last ten years hasn't seen any upgrading or remodeling; it's almost dingy nowadays. The food is a slight cut above the atmosphere, but still only average. The panang curry with fish needs improvement, as does the papaya salad. For my extra side of vegetables, at least they asked me which ones I wanted. That was considerate. The only thing decent is their low prices. Otherwise, I doubt I'll darken the antiquated door. P.S. The TV had rabbit ears on it; that's how old of a place it is.

I stopped here for lunch one day and ordered the pad thai-- it's a usually a good initial test of Thai food, plus I had to try the restaurant's namesake. For less than $8 I got a vegetarian egg roll, combination pad thai, and some soup. I didn't love the soup, but the egg roll was good and the pad thai was delicious. It was a little short on the shrimp that was promised, but the noodles were great and the chicken was good as well. I asked for two stars and it hit the perfect level of making my nose run but not making my mouth burn. Plus, it was definitely made to order-- as in, I watched the hostess tell the cook to go make it-- and service was friendly and fast. They even offered me a glass of water while I waited for my takeout. I need to try out more of the menu, but so far so good!

I've gotten fast, friendly service every time I've eaten here, and the food is excellent. I ate there last night, and had the best chicken satay I've ever had in my life. The cheese wontons are excellent, too. Prices are reasonable, and the place is always clean. Can't ask for too much more in a small restaurant. I'm definitely working this place into my regular rotation after my recent experiences there.

Been coming here off and on for years, and the quality has stayed the exact same: very good. I am usually in a rush when I decide to eat Thai food, but if not, I like coming here to relax with some friends and have a good meal. The food is wonderful, unique, tasty, and plentiful. The drinks are good, but I've only had a couple different ones. The only issue is the overall décor if you will: it has become very dingy inside, and I feel like I'm going into a B-rate restaurant sometimes. I understand you don't want to spend a bunch on useless crap for décor, but at least change some light bulbs and clean the windows for a bit more of a good feeling.
(4)David L.
The food here has a very authentic home cooked flavor. It is not trying to be a trendy or hip place, it is simply putting out the best Thai food for cheap in Denver. The garlic chicken has enough garlic to take down Edward and the whole vampire family. BEWARE! The padthai is fresh and meaty and generous in portion.
(5)Oiko N.
Food is horrible, overcooked mushy noodles, expired bad tofu and very small portion size. The restaurant is so old and dirty which means the kitchen may not be clean either. I would never go back!
(1)Larren M.
I was taken to this little gem many years ago and have a great appreciation for it. I personally feel it's some of the best Pad Thai in the Denver Metro area. The food is very authentic and the staff is more than helpful. Give them a chance and see for yourself. Be forewarned if you order it Thai spicy.
(5)Colin M.
We have been going here for years and love it. It is the only place I've ever gone that serves chicken satay with the chicken actually cooked in the sauce. Great, authentic Thai food!
(5)Maria T.
this is a little family run establishment; nothing fancy. The food is authentic and the owner is accommodating. Tell her what you want and she will make every effort. This one is a bit difficult to find your first time there. Its in a strip mall near the village inn. I especially like her Tom Kha Gai, (Chicken with Coconut and Mushrooms Soup) Pad See Ew and Pad Prik and Pad King Sod. We have not really had a bad or marginal meal there. We've taken several uninitiated first time Thai food beginners all of whom were pleased. It is simply, inexpensive and not fancy at all. Expect to get out of there with $10 per head if you share a soup and each order an entree. They do have beer and a bar. I'll drive 11 miles in a snowstorm to eat there. It has to be good.
(5)Rachel M.
Nice little spot for lunch. Definitely better than the Red Robin that's in the same plaza. This Thai food isn't the best I've ever had, nor is it the worst. They have some dim sum-esque appetizers during lunch that are nice if you are in the mood for it. Service is so-so, and the pad Thai can be sort of hot if you plead with them to make it so (the waitress took one look at my white ass and told me she was going to have to call in the fire department for me, and the dish still wasn't that spicy). Probably a good place to stop if you are in the area, but not among the best in Denver Metro.
(3)Lou T.
This place was amazing with an enormous selection of all kinds of Thai food as well as many variations on Pad Thai. They have delicious bean noodles which are absent from most of the trendy run of the mill Thai Fusion type spots which litter Denver. Their won-ton soup was a bit weird, but it isn't really a Thai specialty. My wife and I were expecting the worst after the soup, but the entrees totally redeemed this place! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty inexpensive experience.
(5)Dave A.
I like this place. Savory curry, great larb and tasty Thai standards on the cheap make this a great place. I can't believe anybody ate here and didn't find the food hot enough. I am a hot food pro. Seriously I can eat more habanero and scotch bonnet than anyone I've ever encountered and some of the hottest food I've ever eaten came from Pad Thai's kitchen. Tell them you want it extra hot and it will be. Oh yeah. Get the coconut ice cream, it's killer.

I should have heeded the (non-Yelp) review that said (I paraphrase), "I didn't find a single of white meat chicken anywhere." I went to Pad Thai for lunch, and though the flavors were balanced and the bean sprouts were crunchy, (I got pad thai woon sen and a thai iced tea), the chicken was all dark meat and meh at best. I was underwhelmed. But for 8 bucks, I wasn't gonna complain. The server-guy was really great, and the gratis cup of veggie soup and the spring roll were very lovely. I'm giving it 2 stars for the chicken, and one star for the tasty soup/spring roll and warm, friendly service.
(3)Sarah G.
My husband and I refer to this place as bad Thai. They make that super sweet pad Thai.
(1)Deb T.
I shouldn't even give it one star. Thai food is my favorite the spicier the better and this restaurant goes down as the worst i have ever tried and thus i can not understand the other reviews here so it must have been a bad restaurant day. I asked and ordered their best lunch "Pad Thai". Starting with the soup... it was clear, tasted favorless and the few vegetables looked like something pulled out of a garbage disposal, rotted and all. Then the Pad Thai showed up, unlike the photo in the menu, there were no vegetables e.g., no cilantro, onion, nothing - not even a peanut crumb and the few shrimp were fried smaller than cocktail size with the chicken looking and smelling rotten too, the noodles were all smashed up but i braved it and tried a few bites. There after immediately asked for check and box. The waitresses were full of excuses that people didn't like onion, cilantro, etc. This food smells and not in the good tasty thai way. There are so many good thai restaurants in Denver but this is not one that I'd ever return too and i shouldn't have asked for the box as after paying I dumped it in the nearest trash can. As for good local restaurants try TOTT on Alameda or Royal Thai in Arvada both have excellent flavor. I liked Thai Express the best on Kipling and Colfax but express it is not and like others have commented the service is terrible/slow.

I kept forgetting to visit this restaurant even though I see it every time I go to a hobby store near the vicinity. So today my friend and I stopped by there and we ordered a Panang Curry and Pad Thai - the basic combo we always order to judge the taste of the dish. Looking at the portion, it's smaller than what I usually get at US Thai and Thai Basil, so I was kind of disappointed with that. The Panang Curry is delicious, I can taste the peanut sauce, the chicken meat is plenty, even though they use the dark meat instead white meat. Then I gave a bite of the pad thai, while it's tasty, I can also taste the fish sauce (it leaves the fish after-taste in your mouth). As with the Panang curry, they also used dark meat instead of white, which is fine by me since I like dark meat.
(4)David C.
I usually try Pad Thai first when I try a new Thai place. They had an interesting sounding variation with diced cabbage instead of noodles, so I gave that a try. Very watery sauce, worst Pad Thai I've eaten. My wife got her normal favorite dish, a green bean dish (Prig Khing?). She took one bite and pushed the plate away. The waitress asked if it was okay, and when she said she didn't like it, they offered her another dish. She tried the regular Pad Thai... Same as mine with noodles. They were very busy and had great service (that's the two stars), but I can't say we'll try eating there again.
(2)James R.
Best Curry Panang in town. Also, this is the only place I have found that offers Chicken Satay as a full course meal, and boy is it great! My favorite things on the menu are,so far, the Curry Panang, Chicken Satay, Pad King Sod which is a ginger based meal. They have the best spring rolls I have ever tasted.
(5)Cloud W.
This homely restaurant in SW Denver does a good job on Thai cuisine. If you like hot and spicy this is the place for you. I once "mistakenly" ordered HOT and couldn't finish the dish, my nose was running and I was downing water like a fish. Now, I order my dishes "mild" which really means no spices but that's fine with me! My standard dishes are Pad Kra Pow Noodles with shrimp and Royal Chili (sometimes I'll order the Pad Thai too). If you do decide to order things HOT try their Coconut Ice Cream, it's YUMMY. I use to order it all the time until I purchased my own ice cream maker (so I have it at home now).
(4)Ande S.
This place is pretty legit. After traveling Thailand for a month this place is pretty close to actual Thai food. They even have photos of the king and Queen! The main server lady is nice and motherly. She always asks if you want you meal "Thai hot" but if you say yes she usually tells you no because it will be too hot for you. I think it's funny. Overall if you want some affordable legit Thai food check this place out. They are rarely busy so never have to wait to be seated.
(4)Michele E.
We ordered it to go and it was nothing special. There are far better places to order thai food from in the area! It by no means was bad, but again we have had better.
(2)Bonnie C.
We came for take out because we were visiting a friend in a rehabilitation facility and wanted to bring him dinner. Two of us ordered the chicken and shrimp noodle dishes. My question- "Where's the shrimp" I had 1 shrimp in my dinner. My friend never found his and thought he got the wrong dish. I also added extra veggies for $1 and was disappointed by the lack of veggies in my dinner. Dinner wasn't up to my expectations for Thai food. The egg rolls were good though. Not sure if I ordered the wrong thing but Pad Thai should be good at every Thai joint. I've had better.
