Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

It did the trick. Good beer selection. All 3 stars are for the choose your own beer flight. Spaghetti pie was a bit to much in a weird way. Meatball they upside us when we orders it was just gross even asking for extra sauce did not help the two of us finish one meatball. The pizza was ok. We got the margarita on the thin crust. Didn't like that their default is to cut it into loads of tiny pieces (impossible to eat the middle bits without getting your fingers greasy of cutlery). The quality of ingredients was about average, really wasn't expecting much for where we were so was quite satisfied. We were starving and it was the closest place. Friendly service.

I went to undergrad at CSU in Fort Collins, where i was a very regular customer at the Old Chicago in Old Town. The Lakewood version doesn't have the same feel to it, but the food and service is still good. We generally sit in the restaurant as service tends to be a little bit faster than the patio. The beer selection-- 110 at all times!-- is unquestionably awesome. I tend to rotate through my favorite entrees and as a result get tired of the food, but generally it's good as well. I generally go with buffalo chicken strips, a stromboli of some kind, or the Hawaiian pizza (coincidentally, the only Hawaiian pizza I like.) The fiancé usually orders the "fisherman's catch", a combo of fish n' chips and fried shrimp. Authentic Italian? No. Authentic Chicago? Probably not. Above decent food and awesome beer? Definitely.
(4)A Z.
You know, it was pretty good. Our waitress made fun of my fiance for trying to order a Miller Lite and we ended up with a round of beer samples and a much better choice at the end of it. I liked the maple beer, but I'm not much of a beer drinker. Oh and by the way they have a ton of beer, but if you're from Colorado you probably already know that. I liked my appetizer sampler.. it had pepperoni pizza rolls, italian nachos and.. mozzarella sticks maybe? In any case, it was better than expected.

Being from the Chicago area, I don't care to go to anyplace not from Chicago that has the name Chicago in it because I have a (pretty accurate) feeling it won't be anything like anything in Chicago. That being said, we came here for lunch during a whirlwind home search and I was decently impressed. There was a long line and a full parking lot but we were seated immediately. Our server, Dakota, was friendly, knowledgeable, and accurate. She got slammed right when we came in but was on top of everything. I think she did a fantastic job. Three of us had the $9.99 stromboli/dessert meal and got three different items. I had the vegetarian, which was pretty good. The crust was a little dry but the insides were good. I couldn't tell if they were fresh made that day or not, but if I had to guess, I'd say not. We had the cookie/ice cream and cherry cobbler desserts. The cookie center was great, a little crisp, but soft and warm. The cherry cobbler was not to my liking (but I am a self-proclaimed cherry snob) but my husband and dad ate it. The cherries were bland and colorless (pink but not like a CHERRY, you know?). Also, a side note, just because a pizza is served in a deep pan doesn't make it "deep dish." There is a dough recipe and style of baking that goes along with it. I saw a "deep dish" pass by our table and it definitely didn't match the Chicago standard, so if you're either a Chicago native expecting deep dish pizza, or a first timer wanting to try Chicago style deep dish pizza, you're going to be disappointed. Overall, friendly staff, decent food, decent prices.

Chain restaurant... But come on. Ambiance and the service are great food isn't half bad either. Good selection of beer, if you are a beer drinker I love the food though. I have a hard time deciding on either the Stromboli or pizza. Most recent trip I was here with my girlfriend and we had the pizza and cookie dinner which was wonderful. they cooked the pizza to order with half sausage and the other half with garlic and artichoke hearts. Came out as ordered which I can't say has happened at all of the other places we ordered pizza. Good service and great food.
(4)Monarch B.
Super Blah. No thanks Although they have an impressive selection of beers the menu is limited to greasy, cheesy food. Truly a blah experience. Never again. This is just a bar that serves bad food.
(2)April S.
This Restaurant was within walking distance of my hotel, which was super convenient. My friend and I walked in around midnight, was greeted by a friendly and patient bartender while we meandered over the array of taps offered. I wish we were offered a menu, and they don't offer pitchers. We both got a tall for $5 each. Didn't get a chance to try the food, but the recommended beer was great.
(3)Maz M.
What can I say... It is a chain restaurant. Had a pretty tasty salad that actually had some spinach in it. The chicken in the salad was also pretty tasty. It was a customers suggestion for lunch and i certainly do not regret it. Good for an Old Chicago and the service was great. If you are an Old Chicago fan, this place is a winner!
(3)Clay D.
Average pizza..better than pizza hut, dominos ,but twice as expensive. And me and my friend got a large . had half sausage ,half pepperoni. they charged us for two toppings .to me that's a joke .it's one topping half and half. And we even asked her so it's $19 or so just for the pizza $7.50 for a 23 an ounce beer. Not even in the realm of worth it...

Let's get down to it. Pros- Decent happy hour drink prices, however the happy hour cheap apps are what really make my happy hour...happy! The food is consistently good, hot, and fresh. I enjoy the interior which reminds me a lot of some of the digs I used to hangout in back home in Chicago. The staff is pretty friendly and the restaurant stays pretty clean. You can have minced garlic added to under the cheese on your pizza, which has always been a big favorite and power flavor of good pizzas in my past. TV's wrap around the bar areas which seems like it could make watching a game or two here pretty good while having a beer. Cons- Although their pizza is pretty good - it's not quite the Chicago style thin crust I was born and raised on that I was expecting. The crust, although thinner than most in Denver, still isn't that yummy paper thin Chicago goodness. The price is also a little ridiculous for the amount of pizza they give you. Bottom line - Being from Chicago, they've nailed the atmosphere however they still lack in the authentic pizza department. This place is in it's prime during happy hour where the drinks and appetizers are delicious.

For A Cozy fun evening, great service , good servers, great food this is the place. Sports up for viewing and enjoyable music. If there happens to be a problem, the managers are very quick to resolve it.
(5)Scott R.
Their menu looks awesome, and that may be, but the buffet is sooo bad. The pizza comes out fresh, but it's pan and virtually flavorless. Way too doughy. I love pan pizza too, but Old Chicago is very bland. Can't put my finger on it other than a mouthful of plain dough. I did see some hand tossed custs though, so then I started thinking that maybe they only do pan for the buffet because it's cheap and fills you up fast? Good service and stuff though, but if you're looking for pizza, I'd go somewhere else..or at least not get the buffet.

This chain of restaurants has a location near the Holiday Inn at Lakewood. It was in walking distance and it looked like it might be better than the bar/grill next door to the hotel. The restaurant staff was friendly, and we were seated immediately. The waitress was very nice, and attentive when she should be. The food came pretty quickly after we placed our orders, but it definitely doesn't taste like "Old Chicago". It tastes like really good Pizza Hut, and not anything like the best pizza from Chicago. They do have a very nice beer selection, at decent prices compared to the place next to the hotel. I would have given this place 2 stars, but the beer selection elevated it a touch. If you're staying at the hotel, and feel like having some OK pizza drowned down with some good beer, this place serves A-OK.
(3)Diana M.
Wings, house salad, fried pickles were excellent. Pizza was not bad - which is relatively high marks from someone from Chicago. Burger was OK. Good fries.
(5)Jonathan O.
I've always liked this place. It has good food and a lot of beer with many choices. Had the sliders and they were good. It's a good location, right off the highway.
(4)Teri P.
Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill. We used to go here 2-3 times a week between watching games and having a quick drink.... but the bartender turn around has been awful!!!!!!! They used to be so good.. then a bunch of em quit, and the newbies SUCK. No other way to put it. We've given them so many chances, worse everytime. Tonight may have been a last night for this location. Sitting UP at the bar.. with a bartender who literally had just one other person up at the bar and barely any other people in the restaurant.. took over 10 minutes with an empty beer to decide we should be rude and disrupt his "gossip" to ask for our tab. We normally tip 25% here bc we love the place and are regulars... but he got 10% tonight, and discontinued loyalty. Try the Union Old chicago. Wayyyyy better service/bartenders.
(1)Tami S.
Do NOT order a burger here! We went for a business lunch meeting and both ordered burgers (around $10 by the way). We asked for medium rare and they were both absolutely RARE. My friend asked for hers to be corrected and they brought it back too done and very dry! Unreal!!! Will NOT be eating here again!
(1)Chris L.
I reviewed a different Old Chicago location recently and thought it would be worthwhile to note the difference with this one. That one got one star for crappy service, selection, and scene; this one gets three because it's better on all three counts. I wouldn't drive across town for this place, but it's solid for happy hour if you live or work nearby. They had several good microbrew choices and I had a very good porter. The server was friendly and efficient even though the place was busy. The thin crust veggie 7 personal size pizza was above average - good amount of veggies, just the right amount of cheese, toasty and tangy. Went perfectly with the beer. I like that I can hang out there at the middle bar, watch some sports, have some time to enjoy a beer and my own thoughts without it being too loud.
(3)Correy H.
Good food, but slow service.
(3)Tyler H.
Everyone knows old Chicago but lately I think they have been progressing as a restaurant offering a more diverse menu with items for all, beer menu is great offering the full spectrum and the patio is killer! Only thing that could make it 5 stars is a fire pit or heat lamps on patio to enhance the ambiance.
(4)Monica L.
I had to try the new pizza pot pie they are advertising on billboards all over town. It wasn't bad, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. It is really not very different than a calzone. It has a lot of crust (and I like crust). It was better once I covered it in marinara, but even then, I wouldn't order it again. I commend them for trying to come up with something new, but this doesn't make the grade.
(3)Stephan G.
Uhhhh, what can you say about nasty, greasy, chain restaurant pizza? PROS: Good beer selection. Lots of TV's to watch sports in the bar section. Cozy atmosphere. CONS: -Horrible food. This place makes Chuck E Cheese look like Lucali in Brooklyn. -Beer prices are about .50-$1 higher than they are at most other comparable bars. -We came into the bar on a medium busy night. It was about half full or so at about 8pm and it took about 7 or 8 minutes for anyone to come over and offer us anything. -Servers are inattentive and often forget orders. I watched my beer get poured and then sit at the waiter's station for about 8 or 9 minutes while the guy was just walking around picking up empty glasses and doing nothing. -My side salad was one of the ones that sits in the fridge for a few hours before someone orders it. It still was all packed down in the bowl from the bowl sitting on top of it. -Greasy, processed grossness for food. We had a combo thing pizza. The veggies were fresh, but the dough was nasty chewy and the whole thing was way undercooked. SUMMATION: If you are trapped in the hotel zone in South Lakewood near this place without a car, I feel bad for you. El Tapatio is disgusting, Denny's is,,,, well it's Denny's, Mu-Lan Landing Chinese is really good food, but the atmosphere in there freaked me out. It's like being in a dungeon or something, Old Chicago is IMHO for emergencies only. If you have a car, for gods sake, go somewhere with better food.
(2)Keith W.
Service was already slow and poor bringing us dirty plates and napkins and then the oven went down on a Friday during happy hour. With the kitchen down and us starving and already wasting 45 minutes trying to get drinks, we left and couldn't even finish our drinks but they charged us anyway.
(1)Kat J.
We always have a tough time here. Many times we have been ignored for 15 minutes before even talking to the server once. We have walked out twice from that. Food is okay. We usually get the same thing because when we switch it up we are diappointed
(2)Emmaline H.
Absolutely amazing!!! Great customer service and awesome food. You must try the spaghetti pie! Its the best thing ive had in years!
(5)D H.
I really love this place! Their pizza is delicious, and the cheesy garlic bread is a must have! My glass has never been empty and someone is always asking if you need something. We've been 3 times and have never been disappointed!
(5)Drew W.
Not horrible but not great. For the money I feel like the food is OK. The service is great though and our waiter was nice. I wouldn't avoid this place by any means but I probably wouldn't lust over their food either.
(4)Joshua F.
Only because zero isn't an option...The bar staff is not very attentive and you sit with an empty glass for a long time.
(1)Jennifer B.
Came here to visit some new friends. My second time trying the pepperoni rolls and they are still great. We decided to split a large Meat Me Pizza, Chicago style. It was great! Good chain restaurant with good pizza and a great beer selection. You know what you're getting when you come here. :)
(3)Jamie L.
Typical Old Chicago with slightly worse service, and sub-par food. We went in on a football night. The bar was packed, and so we asked if we could get the late-night Happy Hour at a table. We were told by 2 employees that they could make an exception because of football, one even went so far as to say they COULD NOT REFUSE if a customer asked for it. So we were seated. That's when our Server, whom we shall call Short, Squinty McDorkBoy, came over. (Eventually.) And refused to serve us. He even made the HOSTESS come back and move us rather than facing the music himself. Being a former server, I thought maybe he was ready to go home and using that as an excuse to get out of his last table. Okay. Forgivable. Wrong. We were at the bar an HOUR later, and there stands Short, Squinty McDorkBoy, lurking in a corner, watching the Football Game. Sigh. The mini pizza had hardly any cheese or sauce on them and the Garlic Bread that's usually fresh and irresistible and noms was mediocre. Oh, and there was a hair in my drink.
(2)John R.
My wife & I decided to stop in & have dinner after talking about how long it had been since our last visit. The greeter Shelby was very friendly & promptly seated us. We had the fried pickles for an appetizer, very good but a little on the salty side. Our server was very attentive and kept our drinks full. I had a regular Italian grinder pizza that was very good & my wife had a gluten free chicken & artichoke that she ranked as one of her top gluten free pizzas she's had. Trust me, she's tried a lot of different pizza places & their are definite differences. All in all a great visit & we made a promise to come back more often.
(4)Olivia G.
I hate when people try to be food critics on here,..but,it wasn't great.price was reasonable, bartender was great, but the wings were so dry and over sauced I didn't finish and the burger was soooo greasy I used a plate full of napkins for half the burger. Overall, service was great but the food was not genuine or fresh at all. disappointing lunch but not a bank breaker.
(3)Kristin M.
The absolute worst service! Boyfriend and I waited 20 minutes just to have a waiter ask if we wanted water. Then said he would be right back & didn't show back up until we walked out. A couple in front of us did the same thing! Will NEVER go back!
(1)Lauren L.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My boyfriend and I went here for lunch and there was hardly anyone at the restaurant and it took them more than 30 minutes get a salad with chicken and mac and cheese served to us. We came during the lunch hour so it shouldn't take this long at all. Our waitress was extremely inattentive and hardly came by to refill our drinks. The hostess also sat us at a table where you couldn't use the other side of the table bc there was a cute kiddo in a wheelchair. Not his fault...but if the restaurant has open seats, in the same area then why wouldn't she sit us there so at least we could sit across from one another. However, the manager did come over and apologize and gave us a more than generous comp to our ticket which was very nice of him. I am pleased with how he handled the situation and showed loyalty and respect to his customers.
(4)Lindsay H.
I don't know why I expected more out of the food from a chain restaurant-bar that's really only known for its extensive beer collection. It's that factor that led me to decide on Old Chicago for dinner and also that factor that resulted in me happy with my beer choices but disappointed in the food. - My spinach, chicken avocado salad had lots of ingredients I loved and a tasty lemon vinaigrette, but it was lacking. I can't put my finger on it, but it just felt like something missing. Maybe it needed cheese...? Maybe it was the flavorless chicken...? - I ordered Thai chili chicken wings, and they were so horrible that I couldn't even eat them. They were incredibly overcooked, so much that they nearly had all the meat cooked off them. They also lacked flavor, despite sounding very flavorful on the menu. - The two calzones ordered in the group were deemed "so-so." - My sister's small cheese-and-jalapeño pizza came out with about two shreds of cheese; it was pretty much all tomato sauce. Meanwhile, the table next to us had a pizza swimming in cheese. Other disappointments: - My sister requested her salad come out with her pizza, but it was brought out early. - We had to request condiments several times. - A supposed shortage of hot water delayed some items due to lack of clean dishes. Even if that was true, customers don't want to hear that there's a shortage of clean dishes. Why the score isn't lower: - We were seated right away despite it being a very busy night at the restaurant. - Our waitress was very nice and attentive. - Great beer selection at great prices. - I hear happy hour is pretty good here. - Lots of TVs for watching sports.
(2)Janesa S.
All the food was perfect and we were satisfied. I will definitely be coming back here for a visit !
(5)Adam A.
Worst service in a long time. Bar staff didn't have a clue. I called ahead (5:37pm) to make reservations and asked about Gluten Free pizza, the host was very nice and informed me they don't have G.F. crust, only "gluten sensitive" and that they were very slow and I wouldn't need reservations. I said no problem. I will be right there. When I arrived (5:50pm), it took well over 5 minutes to be greeted by either of the bartenders. "What can i got you Bud?" I dont appreciate being called "Bud" but i ordered anyway, "Can I get a water and a Breckenridge on tap?" I got the beer right away, though I never saw the water. After I had decided what I wanted (5:58pm) I put my menu down and looked at the bartenders hoping to get there attention... about 10 minutes of me playing staring contests with them I yelled to one of the bartenders "Excuse me may I place my food order!" (by this time I was quite bothered). The bartender fumbled around until he got a paper napkin to write on. I ordered: "Can I get a 8 inch Gluten Free Chicago thick crust special pizza and a side salad with extra blue cheese" When the salad arrived, I took notice that there were croutons, I would have expected he was smart enough to understand I didnt want gluten on my salad either, but I tried not to judge, after all, I could have been more specific with my language. So I pushed the croutons to the side. Still, it didn't have the extra blue cheese dressing i ordered. After another 5 minutes of not being able to get a hold of a bartender, i asked a manager for the dressing. The manager was very nice, and very prompt with fulfilling my request. Long story short, the bartender who was referring to everyone, Old or Young, as "Bud" seemed to have no people skills, and no bartending skills either. But to add on top of the whole experience, I have been laying sleepless in bed for the last 2 hours because my stomach is wrenching... the pizza I ordered ended up not being "gluten sensitive crust" the bartender who took my order must have been too new to know better. I will literally never go back there.

Old Chicago is Old Chicago, what can I say. But my Los Angeles based brother was dead set on squeezing a trip to Old Chicago in while we were in Colorado because apparently there are some Italian Nachos that he dreams of...and though Old Chicago is a franchise, they are not everywhere. I thought my brother was being dramatic when he said he HAD to have these nachos. But when the nachos came, I saw the light. They're simple and pedestrian looking but pack a mean punch of YUM in your mouth. The "chips" are described as like deep fried pasta chips or something, and they really set this nacho pile off. So, the pasta chips are topped with mozzarella, pepporcinis, pepperoni, Italian sausage and served with a spicy marinara to dip. Yes, we all know Old Chicago has tons of beer options, so I don't need to tell you that. However, if you find yourself at an Old Chicago and don't know what appetizer to try GO FOR THE ITALIAN NACHOS.
(3)Cindy L.
Good service and good happy hour prices, but generic food. Go there for beers, not dinner. The meal prices are high considering the lack of quality. The pizzas are greasy and no better than most frozen pizza.
(3)Nate M.
As usual the food is good and the beer selection is god but light on Porters, Stouts etc - real beers! What is with all of the IPA's? This is winter. IPA's are more often drank by San Franscisco types not Denver. We are real beer drinkers here! Not the restaurants fault.. it is the lackeys from the beer companies trying to force their crap on us. IPA's are like warm giraffe urine. (yes I have a friend who is resonsible for the giraffes so he has been urinated on by one) The restaurant was clean and all that but my usual complaints include parents who can't control their kids. You shouldn't be dropping them off in the parking lot when they're under 8. And they still allow Gibeault to come in here and be around children!
(4)Stacie W.
The food and drinks were good, but the kitchen made a mistake on a couple of friends meals. Brandon, our server was AWESOME!!!
(3)Melly M.
I tried their thin crust Thai pizza and it was delicious! We also ordered artichoke dip and it was really good too. Service was so so. We were there for my friend's birthday and since he had a loyalty card, he got $20 off his birthday pizza which was a pleasant surprise.
(4)Rich M.
Just kinda ok. Nothing terrible but nothing special. Waited at hostess stand for 2 minutes to ask about a patio seat since it was nice out. Nobody showed so I walked on in and sat at the bar. It was happy hour on a Tuesday so not very crowded. Good happy hour prices on drinks and food. The bar was sticky. There were several regulars there that the bartenders and servers were chatting with and hugging as they arrived and left. Very friendly but for the non regular it made the service a little off. They seemed aggravated that I was at the bar drinking unsweetened tea. Every time I needed a refill they had to leave the bar area to go get it. Oh well such is the life of a bartender. I selected 3 stars just due to service and cleanliness. The food was great though. I had the Italian Nachos
(3)Mona M.
Not bad. Service was a little slow, but to be fair it was a Sunday around noon. Staff was pleasant. Food wasn't bad (nothing earth shattering either).
(4)jesse j.
Service was pretty slow. Food wasn't very good. Seems like they were trying to skimp on stuff to save money. Tasteless bland food.
(2)Daniel C.
Places like Old Chicago exist becuase there is a simple formula for entertaining the dining public. Bring us good food, Supply us with good drinks, and give us a nice atmosphere for both and we're happy. Coming from the east coast, we had never heard of them before. Our local guide was uneasy due to its being a chain. but it is a very nice place in a way only a chain can be. Wide open spaces, and free flowing service. They have a large draft selection and a well-stocked bar besides. The food is nicely Italian if unmemorable, but what do you want in a bar?
(4)Cole S.
Pizza was good as it gets sevice was awesome.
(5)Jenn B.
Good happy hour, decent food, friendly service. The bar's not too noisy in the afternoon.
(4)Rich A.
While visiting Denver last week, I searched Yelp for a good Italian place near our hotel. Old Chicago came up, and we headed on over. Our timing was perfect, because when we left there was a wait, but we got there early enough to miss the rush. The food was good. I wouldnt give it a full 5 stars, but for the money it was good. The atmosphere was a bit more like a pizzaria than an Italian restaurant, with 5 TVs in the room we ate in, but it was comfortable. Service was excellent, but a little slow, as I think that our section was a little heavy for our server to manage, but she was super nice and willing to keep us topped off and smiling. I will sum it up by saying that when we are in town, we will be eating there again, no question! Ciao!
(4)Amber P.
Best beer selection, hands down.
(5)Dave N.
Was here about a month ago for business. Ended up here for several nights. Great food!

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to meet friends after another Columbine football win! There were two hostesses at the front who did not welcome us with the 'Welcome to Old Chicago' chant or really even look at us. We went to the bar area where another friend was waiting at a 4 top table with a beer. The place was almost empty and we thought it odd for a day packed with good college football available. We moved to one of the side tables and were eventually greeted by a less than enthusiastic waiter named Charles, I think. The drinkless three ordered beers, two beers were delivered and we were informed that they were out of Harp's. Really? We decided to eat and ordered one personal pizza, a calzone, some wings and a cup of soup. The soup came out immediately and had to be eaten right then or get cold. A fifth person showed up and ordered a beer. Charlie came back with the beer and then asked if they wanted a glass. Here's a tip Charlie - bring the glass with you - it can be taken back if the answer is no and they will not have to wait five more minutes for a glass. The food was on par with the experience. It appeared that no one cared. I remember when this used to be a fun place, sadly it is just a souless chain...
(2)Todd M.
The pizza is good. Nachos are good. (both kinds) Artichoke dip is good. and there is a ton of beers to choose from. 'nuff said
(4)Leahrae A.
Had a medium Chicago Seven pizza with a margarita. Not the place to order a margarita....fair but not on the top end. The pizza never got ordered in the kitchen so our order took extremely long. The manager did come to the table and offered us the pizza free. This made up for the long delay by far. Pizza was very good. Skip the margaritas here and opt for beer instead.
(4)Elle M.
This place has some yummy pizza. The service was good. They were very nice to my daughter. My husband loved the great selection of beer. I was disappointed in my Margarita. It just tasted off. We also had some cheesy garlic bread that was disappointing. Its Pepperidge Farm Garlic Bread slices with some cheese melted on top. They just slice it in half. For a place that makes its own crust you'd think they'd have something a little better then store bought. The italian nachos, while an interesting twist, tasted powdery and lacked in toppings. I recommend just sticking to beer and pizza.
(3)Jacquee P.
Lunch is a deal! Pizza buffet for $7.99 comes with a salad and cookie. HOWEVER, we were served our salads without flatware. How can you eat without a fork? We tried to flag down our waitress three times before she looked up from clearing tables to realize that we needed her. The restaurant was not poppin' this afternoon and she could have let those empty tables wait like 30 seconds to get us forks and napkins. And even though the pizza buffet comes with a mini cookie, I did NOT get my cookie! I almost pulled a Cookie Monster, but I was with people from work. The buffet plates came complete with dried, appetizing bits of tomato sauce to enhance the pizza buffet experience. BARFARONI.

Old Chicago is one of our favorite places to eat out. The staff is always awesome, friendly and very knowledgeable. Candice, Chris and Trent are our favorites if possible ask for them. They are always adding new items to the menu which keeps you coming back.

Wow, we had an interesting night there. We had some major problems with service like pizza not getting ordered, drinks not coming, wrong drinks, charges for things that we didn't get or didn't order. In fact, I've never had worse service anywhere.. ever. So why three star? The manager there, Jerry, went out of his way to try and fix things, kudos to him for dealing with a difficult situation with a staff member. Just for that I think its worth a try. The food and drinks were good, no complaints there.
(3)Tom N.
Great selection of beer...nice little local hang out. The pizzas were pretty good. Game units and lots of flat screens and sports...yeah.
(4)Deno V.
Love the Double Deckeroni pizza, wings and beer. The team hits this spot every time we have a game in the area. Food is always on point.
(4)Harlan B.
When I'm traveling, I try not to eat at places that I can get at home. I made an exception tonight and was pleasantly surprised. It was the same food that I could have gotten at home, but this time the service staff was the difference! Not just my waiter, but there was another waiter close by that suggested something for dinner that was awesome! (Chicken Cordon Bleu Calzone) If you are in the area, you should definitely stop by!
(4)Daniel B.
You know, for a chain, their pizza is not that bad. Great beer selection.
(3)larry b.
Great place to hang out! The buffalo wings were probably the best I've had in a while. The pizza was awesome too and the beers, 100 and some beers!! The manager mike was really helpful and kris was too. It makes me want to move to Denver just so I could eat there! If your in the Denver area ... It's a must. Happy hours prices are insane as well . Thanks mike again

We're staying at a hotel close by (Comfort Suites) and we've been to this establishment twice in the past 2 nights. I'm not basing this review on "location", as I'm sure there are several other locations that are way better. I'm basing this review strictly off of food quality, ambience, and service. Last night we rolled in rather late, but ready to get our drink on---instead of sitting at the bar we sat next to each other in a booth in the bar area, just so we could hang out and talk. I wish I'd gotten our waitresses name because she did an awesome job keeping up with us. Over the course of 30 minutes we were about 6 drinks, 1 spinach artichoke dip, one chocoate chip cookie with ice cream and 1 sausage and pepperoni deep dish pizza down, and she didn't once seem annoyed with us. The food is excellent, no matter what time. The night before last we went with a couple friend of ours and we had the pepperoni rolls and we split the Meat Me calzone. Instead of bringing one giant calzone they made two little calzones for us, which were perfect size and perfectly cooked. Appetizers after 10pm are supposed to be half price til the kitchen closed (which, at this location, was around 1am), but we got charged full price. I usually would've said something but everything was too good to bother with it. The pizza, the cookie, even the spinach and artichoke dip (which lacked both spinach and artichoke) was amazing. Of course, we were stupid drunk though, so anything might have tasted good. The best part? We were within walking distance of our hotel and the jacuzzi suite.

I'm in Denver for work and my hours are pretty crazy. Got take out from here last night because nothing else was open (other than Denny's) by the time I was done work (around 10-11pm). Went in to order and the staff was friendly, the bar was really busy and people were enjoying themselves. I ordered a burger and lemonade to take back to the hotel and got so sick. Still sick and still have to go to work. Yuck.

Old Chicago is just a great little chain. The pizza is fantastic, the service is good and the beer selection is one of the best in Denver. This particular location is ALWAYS packed. We usually end up here after hiking and it can be difficult to find room in the bar area. On trivia night, forget about it, you had better get there 3hrs before to get a seat. But, the beer is cold & plentiful. They have specials on their website, but take them with a grain of salt. We were there last night (Wednesday) that is supposed to be $1 off beers for World Tour members and the discount was never taken off our tab, either at the bar or at our table. Boo! Also, when you get your WBT status print out, read it to see if you hit the threshold for a prize. The servers never seem to, so you have to point it out to them so they will give you your keychain or beer bottle opener or whatever. Food recommendations: Pizza, it is fantastic, every single one. Burgers, not so much, too much liquid smoke for my taste. Itallian nachos are a wonderful culinary experience, being thin crispy pieces of pizza dough rather than chips and covered in marinara and pizza toppings, yum! For the salad lovers, the antipasto can't be beat. Best Deal: Happy Hour (3-6pm or after 10pm) individual 1-topping pizza for $2.69, yay!

Favorite place for Chicago style pizza with a great many different kinds of beer one or many for everyone. Pro's Great food, their pizza is unrivaled I think. Many different choices of beers and drinks. you are guaranteed to find something that everyone likes, from the local beers, to specialty micro brews, and the regular classics of bud light, miller light, coors light and such. They have plenty of TV's to watch your sporting venues and the atmosphere is generally pretty good. Con's Price of drinks are more than other places so you probably don't want to make this your stay all day/night and hang out as your bill will be pretty large. The service can be kinda slow at busy times.
(5)Taylor E.
This place is pretty ballin'. I came here with my sister, my dad and my uncle. We ponied up to the bar a little before ten and the bartender was great. The place was full of people ranging from 21-61 and I'm down with that. The happy hour apps are half price and that starts at 10, we were happy about that! :) They have a grip of beers... my sister and I joined the World Beer Tour and we are going to get that damn Who's Your Paddy shirt! :) We got chicken tenders and they hooked up the ranch, big plus! We also got a cookie ala mode, crazy goooood! :) Go here if you are in the area, the service was tip-top and the jukebox was playing all the shit you want to hear. Plus there's a solid amount of HD flat screens and a huge projection screen with games on... March Madness was in full gear. Enjoy! Oh, AND, it's a restaurant too if the bar atmosphere is not your cup of tea.
(5)Kim H.
This is one of our favorite family restaurants. The staff is great with our kids and have started to recognize them by name. My husband and I love the beer selection and the girls can get healthy side dishes (broccoli or other veggies) instead of fries. Thanks guys for always taking care of us!
(4)Sam B.
Don't go here often enough! Awesome calzones and pizza! Friendly atmosphere and great wait staff!
(4)Dylan S.
Good food and beer, a little pricey if you miss happy hour
(2)Logan M.
Great place! Great pizza! Amazing beer selection!!! over 100 to choose from, something like 40 on tap! TV's everywhere! Free buzztime and other games!
(5)Daniel S.
Overall good service, it can be a bit slow in the bar area sometimes. Good food, servers are friendly, and they always have a good selection of beer
(4)Andrea P.
I've been going to Old Chicago's for years, from the good old CSU days to living in Southlands it's been a frequent spot (more so b/c my ex loved it). 1st time at this location and it delivered pretty much what you'd expect at an Old C's. Decent pizza, okay price, yummy boneless buffalo wings and lots of beer. They did give me Chicago style crust instead of regular that I ordered, which sucked...b/c I don't know anyone who loves eating a stick of butter w/ flour on it. Shutter at the thought of that crust, and I still had to pay for it. Boo...
(4)Bryan H.
I enjoy Old's a great deal, love the food/love the beers. This location has a small outdoor patio which is very nice on warm days. The bar has plenty of locals that help build the cheers atmosphere, so if your a fan of Old C's I recommend this location any day
(4)Peter A.
A great place to go if there is a game on. The food is typical chain fare but good after you've had a beer sampler. And if you're a guy with a pulse you'll notice the waitresses. Hate sound like a male chauvinist pig but all of the waitresses here could be models. These women are wicked cute. Great personalities too.
(4)Mark G.
Decent pizza, good beer, not bad at all. Since I'm from Chicago and am a total pizza snob, that's pretty high praise. Get the thin crust pizza. That's a completely valid Chicago pizza type and better here than their thicker crust. They call it "New York" thin crust here, but it's too crispy for real New York crust and is actually pretty close to Chicago thin crust.
(4)Correy H.
Good food, but slow service.
(3)Lindsay H.
(3)John R.
(1)Nate M.
(4)Cole S.
Pizza was good as it gets sevice was awesome.
(5)Jennifer B.
Came here to visit some new friends. My second time trying the pepperoni rolls and they are still great. We decided to split a large Meat Me Pizza, Chicago style. It was great! Good chain restaurant with good pizza and a great beer selection. You know what you're getting when you come here. :)
(3)Rich M.
(4)Maz M.
(2)Ashley H.
(3)Valerie S.
For A Cozy fun evening, great service , good servers, great food this is the place. Sports up for viewing and enjoyable music. If there happens to be a problem, the managers are very quick to resolve it.
(5)Brian W.
(3)Drew W.
(1)Stephan G.
(5)jesse j.
(4)Daniel B.
You know, for a chain, their pizza is not that bad. Great beer selection.
(3)Monarch B.
(2)Rich A.
Great food!
(4)Dehlia I.

(3)Danielle S.
(3)Jeremy C.

The pizza is good. Nachos are good. (both kinds) Artichoke dip is good. and there is a ton of beers to choose from. 'nuff said

Great selection of beer...nice little local hang out. The pizzas were pretty good. Game units and lots of flat screens and sports...yeah.

Love the Double Deckeroni pizza, wings and beer. The team hits this spot every time we have a game in the area. Food is always on point.

This is one of our favorite family restaurants. The staff is great with our kids and have started to recognize them by name. My husband and I love the beer selection and the girls can get healthy side dishes (broccoli or other veggies) instead of fries. Thanks guys for always taking care of us!

Don't go here often enough! Awesome calzones and pizza! Friendly atmosphere and great wait staff!

Good food and beer, a little pricey if you miss happy hour

Great place! Great pizza! Amazing beer selection!!! over 100 to choose from, something like 40 on tap! TV's everywhere! Free buzztime and other games!

Overall good service, it can be a bit slow in the bar area sometimes. Good food, servers are friendly, and they always have a good selection of beer

Boo...

I enjoy Old's a great deal, love the food/love the beers. This location has a small outdoor patio which is very nice on warm days. The bar has plenty of locals that help build the cheers atmosphere, so if your a fan of Old C's I recommend this location any day

Good service and good happy hour prices, but generic food. Go there for beers, not dinner. The meal prices are high considering the lack of quality. The pizzas are greasy and no better than most frozen pizza.
(3)Jenn B.
Good happy hour, decent food, friendly service. The bar's not too noisy in the afternoon.
