Namaste Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

It was okay...We had the chicken tikki masala and saag paneer. The chicken was dry and the sauce was on the thin side and not very flavorful. The saag was a little better - it seemed pretty fresh. Also, the naan was strange....was it prepackaged? I'm not sure but it tasted weird. Disappointing considering it is the only Indian place down on the Southwest side.

We have been enjoying Namaste Restaurant for several years now. Most often we visit for Sunday Brunch after church, the buffet is excellent. My favorite is the Tikka Masala. They are friendly, the chai tea is very authentic and not pre-sweetened (great for us who like chai without tons of sugar). Always good variety on the lunch buffet. Atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant also.

Really good chicken sagh. Opt for spicy if you care for that. And, of course, the nan is delicious. We eat here all the time.

I've been here twice for the lunch buffet, most recently yesterday. It's a great place to grab a quick lunch and the price is very reasonable! The food is delicious and always fresh. I noticed there were different choices than when I went the first time, which is great. The wait staff was very attentive refilling drinks and clearing plates. I typically stick with a few favorite dishes when eating Indian food, so the buffet is a great way to try something new! I will be back for the lunch buffet soon and look forward to stopping by for dinner.

I'm sorry to say but this restaurant has really gone down hill. They used to be my favorite, and now I see them as overpriced (unless you go for lunch buffet). I will stick to the buffet but skip on dinner. I feel ripped off. It cost me $18 for one entree and a desert for dinner.

First ones in the restaurant, but that didn't last long. The place quickly filled up, and it wasn't hard to see why. Lots of yummy foods, included a mushroom dish I'd never had before. I also really enjoyed their zucchini and potato dish. Tons of flavor! The saag was also very good--not too creamy. The kheer, which is usually my favorite at any Indian restaurant, was a little on the plain side. It could have used more cardamon. At any rate, Namaste is worth a try!

Whenever we have a craving for Indian, we come to Namaste! Nothing is a better deal than their Thali dishes. In the veggie one, you get a generous portion of bagan bharta, saag paneer, alu gobi, daal, a samosa, kheer, rice and naan all for the amazing price of $16. We find it's enough food for two with ample leftovers; however, we are light eaters.

Two words -- lunch buffet. **mic drop**

We ordered medium spicy "Bhatha" as one of the items for dinner, it was loaded with red pepper and not edible. Being from North India and having eaten at 100s of other places, we were not able to eat this hot food. When asked the waitress to verify if we were mistakenly served somebody else's order, she said this is how we make "medium hot." The service is below par. Good food choices and nice room.

Amazing buffet. Everything they serve is fresh and delicious. I can't wait to come back and try something on the menu. Highly recommended!!

I had to scale back my original enthusiasm. Few things bug me as much as stinginess with drink refills. I've encountered this on multiple visits. I'll restore my original stars if they change this practice. OK, I might be over-starring this place. 4 stars is probably more accurate, but this place nails it for what I want in an Indian joint: great value and service, comfortable surroundings, unpretentious, complete buffet.

I was a little apprehensive at first to try this restaurant but a friend of mine had suggested we eat there. So I decided to go ahead and give it a whirl. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and lead to our table. The waiter brought us some type of bread with dipping sauces and took our drink order and I will say I was quite impressed. I ordered the chicken tikka masala which I have to say was AWESOME!!! I totally recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area!

I love this place! There are better Indian buffet's so if a massive selection is what you crave to stuff yourself for lunch skip the buffet. Don't get me wrong the buffet offererings taste great but not much variety. The dinner menu choices are where it's at here. The Nepalese dishes are great and the nan is the best I've had. I suggest going big and ordering nan, two entrees, one vegi side and kheer for dessert here. It will be a bit pricey but your inner foodie will thank you. They make a good drink here too, I always had a tequila sunrise to go with my dinner. I know, an odd pairing.

I came here with my boyfriend for the first time. I ordered the alu mataar which I absolutely fell in love with. The service was fast and the server was polite. I have come back several times and keep coming up with a reason to stop by and grab a quick bite. Usually it is not too packed. In the afternoons they have a lunch buffet which I haven't tried because they let me order off the menu.

I think there are a huge deferent between buffet and order from menu, I came maybe three times twice for buffet and one order from menu. The food from menu was so good. specially the naan, samosa, tikka masala and sag paneer. I am a Hugh fan with the Indian food and I have never tasted those four meals before delicious like this !!! Differently I am gona come again

I love this place! I've grown to like Indian Food more and more and this is one is great. The Chicken Tikka Masala is one of my favorites. Sometimes they have a Sweet Potato Masala that blows my mind! I could eat that until I burst.

This place is hit or miss for the lunch buffet. Namaste is the only place I've ever seen serve bread pakora, which is definitely not good. The buffet is fairly bland but I imagine it has to be to appease the masses. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive, which makes up for the average food. I've never ordered from the menu but imagine they can spice things up if you request it.

Outstanding food and excellent service. I am vegetarian and have never had a bad or disappointing meal yet. Best Indian food in Denver.

$10 Indian buffet?! Not bad. One of the better Indian food places we have found in the Denver area.

  • Mary Jo S.

I have been to Namaste at least 4 times and three of the times with co-workers visiting from Gaurgon, India. For US based Indian food, they all gave a thumbs up for the buffet and mostly because of the mushroom curry and bhindi (okra). They also serve Indian beer: Flying Horse, Taj Mahal, Maharaja, and of course Kingfisher, which earns stars for variety. The food is from Nepal and various regions of India. Although similar to most Indian buffets, there are a few different offerings such as the ones mentioned above. So three stars for solid Indian food and one more for variety in the buffet and beer choices.

This place was excellent! I had the lamb bhuna, and I was very satisfied with the level of spice. The lamb itself was excellent. The garlic naan is also a must have. The service was very courteous and overall the experience was very good.

Got here an hour before close on A Sunday Nite. we were the only people in the restaurant. Our service was crazy slow. Nice lady, but we felt neglected. The food was ok. The appetizer kabob was good. The lamb saag and lentils were ok.

I tell ya. Good Indian cuisine is hard to come by these days. Namaste is the best there is in Denver. I have gone 3 times now, and each time I find different things that are fantastic. I always go for dinner so I cannot say much regarding the buffet or lunch. For starters their super premium well is amazing. Jack Daniels, Finlandia, and more all at rock bottom prices. They tend to have a heavy hand too if you know what I mean! :) The appetizers are good, especially the Samosas. And the prices are right for them. But the real winner is their entree's. I have had the chicken vindaloo, lamb korma, chicken biryani, and a few others. All of them fantastic and they hit the spices right on the nose. The portion sizes are great, the rice is cooked properly, and the services is generally very good unless they get a large rush and the two servers and spread thin. 5 Stars. Glad they are close!

Amazing! This was the first time my husband and I and our 3 kids tried Indian food. We all LOVED it. We took it to go because we live down the street. Big portions. Great taste. Quality meat. Yummy! New favorite take out.

You have one hour for lunch. Roommates at home eat your food, so you eat out a lot. Indian sounds good, let's try it. Only... It was a nice place inside, the requisite music playing. Very quiet for a late lunch, so the service should have been pretty attentive. I had to order a mango lassi twice because the server wasn't paying attention. My chicken tikka masala tasted good, but there was very little of it. We ended up asking for a second serving of rice to calm the rumbling of a still-hungry stomach. For its lunch price, I would have expected more food and perhaps a note pad to write down the orders to prevent forgetting things. With the pricing and the amount of food given, I'd rather skip Namaste's lunch menu and go to the Whole Foods a few miles to the north for Indian. I'll give it a second chance for dinner one of these nights to see if there's more to a food order than you'd expect from a high-priced restaurant with a French-trained chef fresh off an "Iron Chef America" battle.

Love this place! Indian food at its best (outside of London and yes, London has better Indian food than India). I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Not the spiciest, but it really is tasty and the colours make it a pleasure look before you eat. If you want good Indian food, make the effort and get down to Namaste or alternatively, fly to London and try The Brilliant brilliantrestaurant.com

They have Nepali food on the menu. So rare to find in Colorado, so I really liked that. I really liked the Chili Chicken I had. My husband got the Momo Dumplings and they were really good -- although probably better as an appetizer than an entire meal. Everyone else's food that we were with also looked and smelled pretty good. Everyone else had Indian food.

We celebrated our friend's birthday with dinner at Namaste. Our party had 7 people and 1 toddler. The waiter was friendly and attentive. One of the guests has a list of items that she's allergic with and the waiter answered all questions we had. He even came back to confirm with her if she had allergy to any herb that they use to cook the meal. I never had either an empty glass or an empty chai cup. He always came just in time to refill those, which is very appreciated. We ordered chicken tika masala, chicken makhani, boti masala, saag paneer, cheese naan and a naan with fruit & nuts in it. They are all delicious. I was a little disappointed that the portion of the main dishes are the same size as the side dishes. Granted there was bottomless refill on the rice, water and chai, but main dish portion should still be bigger than a side dish. Won't y'all agree? Nonetheless, we had fun and we enjoyed great meal together so I gave Namaste a 4 star. (I'd give it a 5 if they serve bigger portions :-))

I give these guys props. The food is excellent, and isn't nearly as pricey as a lot of the other Indian places in town. I think some people avoid it since it's in a strip mall, or because it isn't fancy or trendy enough, but the food is good.

  • Patrick S.

We chose Namaste for a special birthday lunch for my fiance and we were not disappointed. The lunch buffet was consistently hot, fresh, & wonderful the entire time we were there. Service was gracious but not intrusive. The tandoori chicken was the best either of us ever had--smoky & wonderful--truly a step above. We WILL be back and highly recommend it to others.

  • Jeff F.

Wow, that Indian cuisine was amazing! I had the Boti Masala - Lamb broiled in the tandoor and cooked in tomato, onion and cream sauce ($13.95, completely worth it). I had the cheese naan with it. Delicious. To top it off, I had the Flying Horse beer. It was good, not great. The service was great though. He took a couple of people from my table (6 people) into the kitchen to check out how the dishes and naan (bread) were prepared. Very nice touch. Everyone in my party was very pleased with their meals. One of the girls in the party has been going there for 7 years. She gets one of two meals every time, and still loves it every time! That's got to say a lot I think.

Probably our favorite Indian restaurant in this neck of the woods. The food quality and service is consistent and we always know what to expect. We generally always get the Chicken Korma and Shrimp Tikka Masala. I'm very partial to the Fruit Naan, but the regular Naan is good as well. The wait staff is excellent and the atmosphere is quite and relaxing. The to-go food quality is always excellent and equal to the dine-in experience.

Being a semi-vegetarian (this means I cheat!) forces me to seek outstanding flavors, spices, texture way beyond the world of red meat. Namaste offers very good Indian food in a casual, small, friendly atmosphere with excellent service from real Indian waiters whom know thier products. We started with Somosas, a spicy fried triangle looking structure filled with spicy potatoes and green peas, yummy especially submerged in the cilantro sauce dip. I ordered the medium spicy eggplant, served like a thick stew with cheeses, light curry, and tons of veggies-this was so flavorful we ordered an extra one to go. Westside Girl ordered a spicy veggie plate with 4 dipping sauces-all hit the moon with flavors one rarely experiences. But the onion nan is off the charts-way better than the regular nan, served hot, just soft and crispy, perfect for dipping. The wine list is pretty low end, but sometimes, the food is way more important. This was my birthday night, and we were thinking Bonefish, 9th Door, but this was the perfect choice. If you are on the westside of town, check out Namaste!

I could eat here all day long, 7 days a week! The buffet, with my favorites: samosas, chicken makhani, saag paneer, daal, rice and excellent naan, are all heavenly. The staff are always very polite and top-notch. I could become a vegetarian, if I were able to eat here everyday!

This is our favorite place for Indian food. It is close to home and super yummy. It isn't the most kid friendly place and with two little kids it is tricky for us to go there. They are nice about us bringing the kids but the decor is a little quiet and formal. We do however, get take out frequently. My husband is English and knows his curry and he is very fond of Namaste!

this place was okay. i was on an indian food extravaganza after going to a really fantastic restaurant (star of india) in aurora. the food wasn't as flavorful as i had hoped. it's really close to where i live but i would rather drive the extra time and go to star of india in aurora.

I've eaten the lunch buffet once and am sure I will return. It was good, would have been better in my book if there were some more spicy dishes. Good service and atmosphere.

Yak and Yeti on Sheridan in Westminster sets the standard for Indian food in the metro area in our book. We find everywhere else just doesn't measure up. Well, after our second visit to Namaste we are compelled to write a review and say that these guys are in the ballpark! First off, our waiter was absolutely sweet and humble. From Bhutan I believe but we did not catch his name. He was a pleasure. As for the food.... wow. I saw recent reviews that complain about the smokey smell... that is the Tandoori ovens and to us we think its magical! Adds to the flavors and authenticity of this place! The Boti Saag is awesome! Such perfectly cooked and seasoned lamb! The Malai Kofta... what sorcery is this? It was out of control delicious! We ordered too much food and I couldn't stop and ate til I hurt. We all did in fact. The Meat Momo also awesome as was the tomato chutney that accompanied it!! They have a nice authentic mild chai as well. I was thankful to have our friendly waiter offer me many refills as the cup is tiny. Its a much needed break from the norm. Very authentic. Tucked away unassumingly by the Natural Grocer on Wadsworth just off Hampden. We also noted that everyone else in the restaurant was not only a repeat customer but we could hear them discussing with excitement as to what they wanted off the menu this time. We have only ordered off the menu but will try the buffet one of these days to see how it measures up.

Don't let the strip mall location deter you, this is one of the better Indian restaurants in Denver. We were pleasantly surprised with the lunch buffet-- except for the saag, which was awful. We came back another night for dinner though and the saag was wonderful. So, my tip would be maybe come for dinner and get the sampler plate. Everything we had was super delicious. If we are in the area again, I would definitely return. Only complaint besides the saag at lunch was the atmosphere was a bit stiff at first, it took a while for our server to be friendly with us. Overall, it's a little hidden gem!

  • Amanda L.

First of all, Namaste food is not bad at all. The only person that I had communication with while there was extremely friendly. Namaste gets three stars because, while the food was pretty good, it has a smoky nature to it that is not my favorite. Others have commented on the smoky smell in the restaurant, which is true, but I did not find the smell unappealing. It was not a gross smoke like cigarettes smoke, just different. However, that smoky smell is at the base of all of the sauces and food. The only problem with the smoky taste is that is a little overbearing. It masks that subtle tastes that make Indian food great. Again, not bad, but I will seek out an Indian restaurant with a "cleaner" taste before returning.

This place is delicious! Came here to take my son to Indian food for the first time and he loved it! He's 4 years old and still is telling me he loves Indian food two months later.

Best in Denver! We have eaten the cuisine all over the world and in cultural bastions in large American cities. You will savor the flavor and revel in the lighter presentation of your favorite dishes. We partook the lunch buffet and we were impressed with the moist and tender condition of the chicken dishes, despite arriving past 1:30 pm. The bhindi (okra) was fabulous. Saag was flavorful and spinachy, more veggie less cream and just as much flavor. Chicken Korma also far less heavy and delish. Chicken Curry was served in a light sauce and very flavorful. Big surprise how moist, tender and delightfully smoky the tandoori chicken. I love mine with achar. House recipe was right on the mark. The kheer was thicker than most, mildly sweet with subtle tones of cardamom, cinnamon and other exotic spices. I had an iced Chai tea which was flavorful and again lighter than most. Despite its location, tucked in back of a strip center, it is traditionally appointed with table cloths and charmingly attentive service. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food -- it's been ranked by Westword as one of the best places for Indian food in the past, and still is. Their buffet has different food options for each day. The naan bread is some of the best around.

I've been to Namaste several times, and the fact that I keep going back says that I like it. I've had the lunch buffet multiple times and have gone in the evening ordering off the menu several times as well. It has always been good. So why "only" 3 stars? I answer the question with another question, "what's wrong with 3 stars?" 3 stars is the high side of average - "A-OK" in the language of Yelp. 4 stars is considerably better than average and 5 is pretty freaking amazing. To my tastes, both the food and overall experience at Namaste is the high side of average - plenty good enough to bring me back, especially at those times that I'm on that side of town. The lunch buffet has the usual "classic" offerings and they keep it well stocked. The menu is ambitious, and other Yelpers have commented that you can order your desired heat level on your dishes. Having said that, we have found the "heat" to be inconsistent - we've had "medium" dishes that have been closely akin to "Thai medium" and we've had "hot" dishes that are surprisingly namby-pamby. No matter, the food quality has always been good. Service has always been cordial as well, although it has been surprisingly on the slow side some nights - surprising because we've never found them busy at dinner time, not even on a weekend. Because they're not generally busy, Namaste is a good option for groups. That they're not generally busy also makes it quiet and conducive to a relaxing meal with family and friends. The dining room is clean and pleasant, portions are adequate but not large, and prices are consistent with other Indian restaurants in the metro area. Bottom line, if you're in the southwest quadrant of town and Indian food sounds good, Namaste is a good option. Actually, you don't have a lot of other options in that part of town except for India-Nepal Oven by Southwest Plaza. Which reminds me, I haven't been to India-Nepal Oven for awhile, so I'm overdue to check it out again, but I remember it as being pretty comparable to Namaste across the board - another A-OK option for Indian food in the southwest burbs.

My dinner experience was fairly average. Good service but there was only one other table at the point where I ordered so service probably should be good! Menu was extensive and fairly priced. On the less than wonderful side of things, the first thing that hits you on entering is a smoky smell, presumably from the clay ovens. Although you adjust after a few minutes, this is initially unsettling. But most disappointing was the chicken in the curry which was a bit more chewy than tender. Seems maybe the chicken serves as all-purpose chicken for several dishes rather than actually being cooked in the curry itself, allowing the chicken to fully absorb the flavor and lend a tenderness to the meat? Not a bad experience overall; just nothing to rave about.

We found this restaurant by chance while on vacation. The ambience is quiet and pleasant and the food was delicious. My husband had chicken tikka masala which he really liked and the naan was perfect.

They have excellent food, clean ambiance, prompt service and very personable. These guys are my good friends. We have dined with them (yes it feels like a family) for 4yrs their food is really good...They are a part of my good memory of our days in Denver...

I think that Indian food can really be hit or miss depending on what your expectations are. For me, Little India in Belmar (Lakewood) is amazing. I always get the butter chicken (chicken makhani) and every time is is buttery, creamy and just spiced to perfection. This place, the sauce was like water and had little flavor. My husband got a different dish and also said it was just "ok". If you like very bland sauce then you might love this place, but for me I expect a lot of flavor and the butter chicken here is completely underwhelming.

    (2)
  • Amanda D.

Came here because it was a "Himalayan Restaurant". Service was good which makes me feel bad bashing about the food. I like the mint sauce, I liked the onion sausa... but the food was... just plain alright. Some vegetarian stables, some carnival stables but nothing exceptional.

  • Brian E.

Indian food is near the top of my favorite ethnic foods, but for some reason I rarely go out to get it. I guess street tacos don't hit the pocketbook as much. Don't make me chose between those two for my last meal on earth lol It was pretty empty for a Saturday night, this place is tucked away in a suburban strip mall. Service was prompt. Food was delicious. I ordered some garlic naan and boti masala (lamb). Solid establishment.

Excellent food and great service! My husband and I always order the Veggie Thali, and although it's vegetarian it has wonderful flavor, and it's such a large dish that we always have leftovers. This place is definitely worth a try!

I usually come for lunch buffet because it is close to work. I would call the food "Average" and maybe a little boring. The buffet is probably the smallest choices of any other Indian Buffet but they charge the same. Food tastes at times like it has been sitting out for a while. An example is a potato fry they have is so hard I could not chew it. I have had it here before when it was fresh and today it was not at all. Service is spotty! Sometimes good and sometimes non existant and even had a lady pour water in my glass that had such a scowl on her face I asked her if she was alright. Guess I don't understand the culture. Compare this to the Yak & Yetti on N. Sheridan and you will find what a great Indian resteraunt offers. Again it is close and I keep eating here at least once a month so I guess all is not bad! Just Average! HO HUM!

So far the best Indian food I've found in Denver. My girlfriend and I are almost embarrassed by how much we go there. Food has a fine delicate flavor and service is solid. You can always count on the Buffet being fresh.

Excellent food and very good service. Not too busy the Saturday night I was there. The lamb was tender and the curry was spicy and delicious. I ordered medium-hot and loved it, though it was one of the spiciest dishes I've ever eaten. I left full and happy.

A very tasty place to eat. Upon arrival I've always been greeted by their courteous wait staff and immediately seated where ever I prefer. Once seated, my drink order is taken and I'm asked whether I'll be partaking in the buffet or off menu. I've ordered from the menu as "to go" orders when coming home from work, but usually I am there for their buffet. The buffet is not large but does contain a little of something for everyone. You will find both vegetarian dishes and meat dishes, plus a salad and some desert. They spice the dishes on the mild side, but I expect that. They have several delicious chutneys to choose from, my favorite being the onion chutney. They are very quick on the drink refills and clearing of your dirty plates. This may not be the most "authentic" food, but I do enjoy their food and service and for me the value is off the charts!

I thought our experience was great!!!!! Went there for a lunch buffet and even though the selection of food may not have been as large as other "Indian Buffets" what they did have was right on. I go to school with a lot of Indian people and even recognized some of the same dishes that they have prepared. Some people say this isn't authentic?!? Bullony! Price is right atmosphere great, and if you don't get your drink refilled every 30 seconds automatically you are looking for the wrong things that make a restaurant great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

Namaste proves that it's possible to have both good Indian food and prompt service. We love Indian, but we often hesitate to go just because it takes so long for the food to arrive. I complained about this at a downtown Denver restaurant who shall go nameless and was told that it was because authentic Indian fare is cooked to order and takes time. Well, Namaste has proved that wrong. Within moments of sitting down we had our complimentary papadum, and we hadn't even finished that (while perusing the menu) before our appetizer assortment arrived--hot and fresh. And the entrees also arrived promptly, as did water service, and the hostess (owner?) came over to check on us multiple times. So the service is top-notch; what about the food? I was a little concerned because the appetizers were all a bit on the bland side (though the chutneys added a nice pizazz). We had ordered our entrees--chicken tikka masala and lamb korma--spiced medium, which turned out to be fine, though it was more like mild at most restaurants. So no worries; if you like your food spicy, feel free to step it up to "hot." The lamb korma was a bit light on meat, but I realize lamb is expensive and the prices here are reasonable. The meat was tender enough and more importantly had the flavor "cooked in" nicely--it also included lots of vegetables to make a completely filing dish. The chicken tikka was also very tasty. We debated for a while which sauce was "best", then realized it was a silly question--both are excellent, albeit completely different. And of course Indian isn't complete without naan, which was wonderfully soft on top and and crunchy on the bottom, (For those rare souls like me who like kabli naan, Namaste's is less sweet than most I've tried. Which is not a criticism--I thought it was very good and a bit less like having dessert with your meal). We left completely satisfied with both the service and the food--and with enough leftovers for dinner tonight. My mouth is watering as I think about it! The service was an unequivocal "5"; the food was not the absolute best I've had (hence the 4 stars, though I would have given 4.5 if I had the option), but definitely good enough to again make the drive from Golden.

Namaste has by far the best Indian food in town. We find ourselves there every couple weeks. Service is excellent and the food is both authentic and delicious. It's worth the drive.

Best Indian food in town. My fiancée and I eat here probably twice a month. The entire menu is great. Awesome family run business!

THE best Denver Indian/Nepalese restaurant I've been to. I've been to the main hot spots tens of times (Yak & Yeti's, Little India, etc) & would probably give them a 4of5 still, but Namaste is hands down a 5 star. My daughter & I shared the single person Vegetarian sampler (I'm not vegetarian but my 10 year old is). Every dish was the best time I've had it (including eating at my Nepalese refugees friends' house)! We both loved the Naan (of course!), Alu Gobi, Daal, & the best samosas. It's not just the food that impressed me, but the waitstaff was extremely courteous & attentive, prices were very modest & they were actually able to cook each dish mild enough for my 10 yr old daughter to enjoy! I wasn't sure if my daughter would like enough of the sampler so had them leave me the menu, but she agreed that even dishes she normally didn't like were good here (Saag Paneer). Can't wait to come back for the lunch Buffett! -Ross

I go here for the lunch buffet. I've never ordered off of the menu, as I find that it's a heck of a lot more economical to get the buffet at an Indian joint, because I can never decide on just one thing. And, the food here isn't bad. It's really not. But, here's what it isn't: authentic. There isn't a single spicy dish to be found. NO spice. I understand the dumbing down of Indian food to please the American palate, but this place just takes it to all new lengths. You might think, "Hey, I can just add some chutney to spice it up!" Alas, none of the chutneys have the least bit of spice, either. I can't see going back again, even though I think their saag paneer is outstanding - because, come on, I want some spice in my Indian food.

I would count myself as a semi-regular, mainly because this is the closest Indian place to my house. I usually stick to the boti saag (lamb) or korma. You will find better Indian food in Denver, but you won't find it for much cheaper, nor will the service be as consistently good. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. The food comes out quick and you'll leave full. I especially like that I can order this food as hot as I can handle. Ask for a step up from their usual "hot" and you won't be disappointed (unless, of course, you don't like spice - then it'll be a huge mistake). If you live on the southwest side of town, you're not going to find closer Indian for this price and with this kind of service. The service at the place on Bowles & Kipling blows, by the way, but that is for a different review.

I have been eating here regularly for the last year and a half, averaging about 2 trips a month. The owner (Jyoti) and her brother (Manoj) are very friendly, courteous people who focus on providing great food at a reasonable price. The food is always fresh and flavorful. Since the owners are from Nepal, the spices used in the food are milder when compared to typical Indian restaurants. Nevertheless, the food is outstanding. The food on the buffet is mildly spiced. However, you can have them customize the spice level when you order take-out or eat-in at Dinner.

The food was delicious! Naan was soft and flaky, pillowy on the top, crusty on the bottom. Absolutely perfect.

Stopped in on business and was pleasantly surprised. Slow Thursday night so benefitted with excellent service. Co-worker ordered some things I'd never heard of, but the tastes were all excellent. Would definitely eat here again if given the chance.

This was our first visit after moving to Lakewood last year. This place is just great! Very friendly and fast service, excellent food and overall quality. I gave 4 stars only because I am by no means an Indian food connoisseur, but this is our new go-to. VERY good.

The more Indian restaurants I go to in this city, the more I get frustrated. Especially when the reviews are all raving. I think "Finally, a buffet that isn't totally not worth the price" and then....it's not worth the price. Unfortunately, Namaste just adds to the list. I drove a few miles out of the way to come here and was immediately greeted with the smell of some sort of fuel inside the restaurant. I got accustomed to it but it was a weird smell to have in a restaurant. I went to the buffet and saw 8 offerings, which to me is quite small but seems to be average. They were: Naan- not made to order (this has become a must for me). So, it ha basically steamed itself in the bin. Daal- Just like yellow daal on every other buffet, so, fine, but unremarkable Saag- fine but had a strange underlying flavor to it Veggie korma- fine but so heavy. Why not have lighter dishes on the buffet? Chicken Makhani- chicken wasn't tender, sauce tasted exactly like marinara from a jar but was also heavy so it didn't seem worth it Tandori Chicken- fine but a bit dry And 2 more unusual dishes I didn't try: Egg Curry, and Zucchini with Edamame I just couldn't get behind a hard boiled egg curry. I can see it being good but my head was just not ready for it, or rather my stomach wasn't as this was my first meal of the day. As for the zucchini and edamame, I'm not a big zucchini fan so I just knew I probably wouldn't like this but I also thought "man this is a weird combination- I've never seen edamame in an Indian restaurant before" so I looked it up when I got home. I cannot find an online mention or recipe for a dish similar to this so I'm not exactly sure what it represented, except to me an unappealing combination I tried the Kheer and Gulab Jamun, as well. The kheer was the best part of the meal, because it had nice flavor without a heavy dose of cinnamon, and the texture was nice. The gulab jamun had a chemical flavor though. I browsed their alcohol menu and their drinks are really cheap, so maybe this is a better bet for dinner. Like many other Indian buffets, though, I just can't get behind paying $12 minimum with tip for a buffet when none of the dishes really stand out, and especially when the naan isn't made fresh per table.

Would have loved to try the food here but there was one problem. They decided to close early on a Saturday night. Why put your hours online and on your door and not stay open until the posted time. If you're going to close early, don't post a close time so people can call to make sure you're still open. Waste of a drive and time.

This restaurant is terrible. The food doesn't taste like Indian restaurants I've been to before. And there was a gigantic black hair in my drink, can't imagine what's in the food, if that's that's what's in the drinks. Gross also a lot of the food was soggy and cold including naan.

  • Cielo G.

Average all the way around. About six main dishes on the buffet. Lentils were bland, but at least they didn't have kidney beans mixed with them. Naan was precooked - not made to order. Saag and curry were decent. The vegetable dish of cooked cabbage was to oily. Decor OK, cloth napkins. Kind and warm service.

My oh my.... This is based on 3 visits to Namaste Restaurant. First trip, with Hubs for a Friday evening dinner. Hubs and I tried the Assorted Platter, consists of combination of meat and vegetable (meat & vegetable samosa, chicken & vegetable pakora). Hubs main entree was Lamb Biryani and I ordered the Shrimp Tandoori. The shrimp is seasoned with fresh spices and roasted in tandoor. Hubs likes his Lamb Biryani and I like the flavor of the Shrimp plus the added bonus the Shrimps were Enormous!! Its rare to get those Enourmous Shrimps in town for a Tandoori dish. We had the Chai Tea as part of the beverage. @@@@@@@@@@ Then the 2nd trip to Namaste Restaurant. Sunday March 29th 2009, for the Buffet. Both Hubs and I are not WOW with the selection, for this I give their buffet 3 stars. While I was there, I confirmed with the staff with regards to my reservation to bring 20 friends for a dinner one of the weekday evenings. @@@@@@@@@@ In the afternoon of Thursday April 2nd 2009, I received a call from Namaste Restaurant Staff for my reservation confirmation. It was all set. When I arrived yesterday as usual early, making sure all is well, our table are all prepared for our party. 17 friends and I went to Namaste Restaurant for a Thursday evening dining galore. The dishes that my friends ordered were Nepali Momo, Nepali Chow Chow, Nepali Chili Chicken, Lamb Shahi Korma, Chicken Tandoori, Non-Veggi Thali etc etc. For that evening, I ordered the Shrimp Vindaloo EXTRA, EXTRA Spicy. When my main entree arrived, the Shrimp Vindaloo is spicy the way I like it, when the spicyness level lingers around my lips and my mouth. For the beverage, I ordered Rose Lassi. I requested it to be less sweet. It came just right for my taste bud. Some of my friends like the dishes that they ordered, some have better in other restaurants. All in all, I would give 3.5 to 4 stars for Namaste. I would definitely return but not as yet until I have try all the Indian and Nepali restaurants here in Colorado and compare on what they can or have to offer. I hope Namaste Restaurant, will be around many more years to come. FYI, Namaste Restaurant is run by families of a father, his sons, cousins and staffs originally from Nepal. The service was prompt and the staffs who I have been communicating were gracious and friendly. Thank you Namaste Restaurant.

Really delicious Indian food. I need to branch out next time but I can never talk myself out of the chicken makhani, which is without a doubt the best butter chicken I have ever had. Medium comes out about perfectly for me. The tikka masala is good as well, but I recommend the makhani the most. The boyfriend is more adventurous and has liked everything he's tried so far-- I think the tandoori grill dish is his favorite. It comes out on a sizzling dish like fajitas with extra sauce on the side, which is a nice touch. The cracker bread everything comes with is delicious, but you can't go without naan. If after this you're somehow still hungry or just obsessed with mangos like me, give the mango custard a try. It's delicious. Don't let the strip mall location scare you. This place is great.

Good Chicken Tikka Masala, convenient location, just an all around good experience. I called in an order on my way to the gym and asked for it to be ready at 6:30pm. No problem. I dropped in after my sweat session and picked up my food. I had never ordered from here before, but I needed some tasty grub to take over to Infinity Park for the free movie. The price for my Chicken Tikka Masala was totally average and reasonable ($13). I took my food in to the park (when I finally found parking) and was pleased to see that it was still warm, yay! The sauce was a bit runnier than I am used to, but the chunks of chicken were quite large and the sauce had a nice flavor. It was a bit bland, but I had ordered it Medium Spicy. Now I know next time to ask for Spicy. This is a great little restaurant. I will definitely be dropping in again for Take Out (especially now that I have snagged one of their menus).

Despite being less than wowed by Namaste last time, we decided to try their weekend buffet. Again, it was all pretty disappointing. Apart from the usual tandoori chicken, the buffet offered just one other meat dish (chicken curry). I had been happy to see one dish labelled "Meatballs" but it actually contained some kind of hard boiled egg concoction that didn't look very appetizing. Everything was super bland even by Indian buffet standards, and the five veggie dishes available were lukewarm and heavy on the sauce. The tandoori chicken was dry, boring, tiny pieces of leg and thigh, and the naan was cold and crispy. Dishes were not topped up nearly regularly enough/sufficiently for the amount of diners, so that when the food was brought out, people were practically running up to grab another plate, and the buffet was left almost empty again. I wish I could give Namaste more stars since the restaurant is nice and the servers are so sweet. Unfortunately, the food is just about a-ok. I guess I'll stick with India Oven for my buffet fix - it's a couple of bucks more expensive but the flavor and overall quality is much better imo.

I love this Indian restaurant. The food is fresh, authentic, and fast. Not to mention the service is nice. I have had more than a handful of items on the menu and always leave feeling like I'm going to pop since it was so good I ate too much. I've always wanted to hit the lunch buffet, but I don't live/work in the area... maybe one day I'll remember on a day off.

Went here for lunch with a friend....tried the $7.95 Lunch Buffet. It was pretty par-for-the-course as far as buffets go. The food lacked a bit of flavor, spice and presentation, but okay for a buffet. I ordered vegi samosas as a side dish to the buffet, and they were pretty good. My first experience with Indian food was in Portland, Or which has somewhat raised the bar for me since..And that said, I have yet to find Indian food in Denver that even comes close..but I plan to continue the search. The waitstaff is very nice and welcoming. The restaurant is comfortable, although tucked back in a strip mall, so not the best of locations. But it was worth the visit, and if I am ever in this neighborhood again, I would consider it an option for a quick lunch.

BETTER THAN BACON.. there it is. I said it. (no you didn't) Yes I did. Most places i love, I don't want to tell anyone about it because of the long wait, over crowded Yuppies, and no parking you have to go through the next time you go there. BUt this place was empty, lots of parking, classy, great service, and really looked like it could use better marketing.. Maybe I am an idiot when it comes to Indian food (and some other areas) but I couldn't get one name right when trying to order. I have been to at least 10 other Indian places - this one is my favorite. What I loved was the extremely helpful server (very cute BTW. a HPOA or a HPOIA) who directed me to what was Delish and what was not. As in a top 5 favorite things that people love when they come here. I like lists. I guess I am a list person. If only every place just had 5 things on the menu. Ordering or waiting on people to decide what to order... anyway.. For being know for vegetarian food, this place has great chicken! lol Went for dinner on 12/26/2010. Great Service, Very clean, smells great, looks great, FANTASTIC FOOD! Didn't do the buffet. I don't like buffet's unless it is a brunch/lunch thing- and never a chain. or your sticking to soups, salads, etc. Rules to live buy. I had the chicken in a green curry sauce at a medium heat.. along with the left overs my date didn't finish.. And the bread for 3 dollars more. Naan - I believe it was called. "Get in my belly!" I love this bread. NOt the cracker bread they bring out to you, but on the back of the menu there is this bread you can order, like a pita shaped, right out of the oven, smells amazing, better than a humdinger from a midget, bread. Ok I don't really know if that is true.

Amazing service & wonderful food! We went here for grandma's birthday and everyone enjoyed their meals. The kids got special treats & the waitstaff gave us just the right amount of attention. I highly recommend this place, you can't go wrong.
