A true gem, we love this place. Fresh pies, made daily, local craft ice cream, terrific sandwiches. $10 is half a huge sandwich, cup of homemade soup, coffee and a slice of pie! Blackberry, Cherry, Apple, chocolate cream, lemon meringue and more. Wonderful wish I lived closer.....

The pies are great. We've bought them at the holidays multiple times and have done so for years. Proprietor is a bit out there, but he makes good stuff.

Spammy The Review Piggie loves this place. Old-school pie shop... But more important it is also a homemade sandwich shop too. Super fresh, great value, and a Nice change from all the other corporate places to eat.

Stop by every year for my mom, she will not take a birthday cake so we come here for one of their homemade cherry pies! It is absolutely delicious!!! The other pastries are just as good and so fresh...stop by you won't leave hungry.

If you like pie, give this place a shot. Quite a variety, and we've liked everything we've had. Great lemon meringue, coconut cream, cherry almond, and more. The regular food has been just ok - I'd give 3 stars for the other (pot pies, soup, sandwiches)

After a long day and hiking a 14er on Pi Day, it was time to celebrate and get some pie. I checked Yelp out and found this great place. My friend and I had an amazing experience and I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Really good pies and coffee. I personally prefer the berry pies. Michigan Cherry Almond and Granny's Very Berry are my favorites. Co-workers love the Chocolate Cream. Magill's ice cream is the ice cream they sell for pie a la mode. This is a small, family run shop. The also sell pot pies, quiches and salad for lunch.

I stopped in and decided to try the coconut cream pie and maple fudge. Both were good, though not entirely exceptional. I will definitely have to pop in to try more things, and when I do I will update. For now, know that this place is definitely solid, and worth your interest. Give it a try.

So. Damn. Good! I woke up at 1 am and didn't fall back asleep until 4 am, and somewhere around 3 am, I decided I needed figure out where amazing pie lives in Denver. After researching multiple sites, pie is THAT important, I decided I was going to make the trip to Granny Scott's. I took two peanut butter cookies and a caramel apple pie to go. I couldn't believe how many people were there considering it was 1:30 on a Tuesday. I made it home and everyone had a little piece of pie. It really is as good as it gets- delicious crust, tender fruit, good balance of flavors, perfectly sweet... I will probably eat the whole pie. And it will be worth every calorie. Can't wait to go back and try more!

Four stars for their semi-regular All You Can Eat Pie event. I want to say they do it every six months or so. After a couple of invites from friends, The Dude and I finally made it down to join them for the glutton fest. $8.49 per person for all you can eat pie (and then some). You can choose from both sweet and savory (e.g. pot pie and including quiches), however much you like until you're full. Or in a diabetic coma. Or both. I did the fat math in my head: in order to "break even" (price-wise, we're not talking pancreatic health here), one would need to consume three plates of pie. The slices are 1/3-size to 1/2-size, so total it's about three slices. Sounds disgusting? Well this is Amurka and that's how we do things here. So fill your pie hole (with like 15 different kinds...) and shut it. (Or, just don't go for AYCE since it gets crazy busy anyway and just go another time for only one slice.)

The pie is amazing. And great variety. But the coffee is so bad, i never go for breakfast, and almost always take pie home to make coffee at home.
(4)Nicole S.
Everything looked so good--we almost couldn't decide what to get! The sticky buns looked particularly delicious, so we took two (one for each of us). Excellent choice! The buns were light and fluffy, and the pecan topping was devilishly sweet. The sticky buns were actually so rich, that I couldn't eat more than a couple of bites at a time.

I needed an apple pie for a birthday dinner and decided to try the caramel apple pie from Granny Scott's since it supposedly won the national pie championship (don't know what that means) and since John Lendorff (former dining critic at The Rocky Mountain News) recommended it in an article he wrote. Well, it's excellent. It's not cheap at $18 plus tax for a pie that serves 6, but it's better than any store-bought pie I'm familiar with. I'll never buy another apple pie at Whole Foods.
(4)Chris R.
My favorite pie is from here. I absolutely love their strawberry-rhubarb pie. Interesting choice for a favorite pie maybe, but it is just so good. Their other pies are also top notch from the caramel apple and pumpkin to others. We try to get a pie here every Thanksgiving. Its a little pricey so its a once in a while affair, but boy is it worth it. You won't regret getting a pie from here.

Awesome little local pie shop. Homemade not frozen. My hubby's preference for Birthday sweets!

This place is close to my house and has coffee and wifi. For those two reasons alone, I'm a fan. When I've been in to work (I'm a photographer and web designer and sometimes need a change of venue to concentrate properly), it's always been a good mixture of quiet with enough people coming in and out to take my mind off the computer when needed. No music playing, so if you're coming to work, bring headphones to drown out the kitchen's cooling fans. I've had pie here and it was good...chocolate cream I think is what I had. I'm more of a health-conscious type, so stick with coffee, provided by Coda, a local fair-trade, organic company, which is a perk (no pun intended). I also enjoy their breakfast burritos, made to order and oh so delish. I ordered the sausage version, and while the meat was nearly tasteless, the salsa was nice and tangy and made for a flavorful breakfast meal. The last time I was here, the lady behind the counter must have been having a bad day because she was pretty grumpy. For that reason, I almost didn't return. I'm happy to say, however that today she was all smiles and that erased the not so pleasant experience last time. I'll definitely be back to support this small, local business!

I went to Granny Scott's for the first time recently. I've been looking for a pie place in Denver, and I wish I had known about this place before! I had their chicken pot pie and a slice of caramel apple pie. Both were so delicious! I was expecting to just get a slice of pot pie, but I was pleasantly when they brought out a mid-sized bowl. -they had baked the pie in the bowl! I loved the homemade crust and the filling itself had great flavor. The caramel apple pie was yummy too! Their prices were reasonable too. I paid ~$10 for my pot pie, slice of caramel apple pie, and a drink. I'm only giving them four stars, since I've only tried two things. I plan to go back and try all their other beautiful-looking pies!

Some of the best pie I've ever tasted was made by Granny Scott. Or at least at her pie shop. Try the chicken pot pies. I think they're seriously the best i've ever had- tender, flaky pie crust; copious amounts of fresh veggies, REAL chicken chunks (not questionable little meat flakes), and gravy... Absolutely delicious. I've also had their pecan pie and it was outstanding. Definitely worth a stop for a pot pie and a dessert pie.

Had a banana cream pie that we picked up and when we got home to eat it the crust was slightly burnt tasting/overcooked. For$18 was hoping for better quality control.

I came in to buy a pie for a birthday and there are quite a few choices. I bought the chocolate moose. It was very good but around $20 for a small pie is a little pricey. Very friendly help and a nice storefront.

We were so excited to try this place so even though it was 30 minutes from our hotel we gave it a shot. We each had a slice of pie there and enjoyed it, not the best I have ever had but definitely good. We decided to take some back with us to the hotel, they were a little slow getting it all packaged after we paid for the to go so we sat down and chatted while we waited. After waiting a bit they brought a sack out with our pies or so we thought. Then we got back from our 30 min drive and began to unload the pies into the hotel fridge and we were missing a slice that we had paid for. We called them and they offered no solution or refund, we had my dad stop by to pick it up on his way back to the hotel thinking for sure they would do something to make it up, nope just handed them the pie. I really had hoped to give four stars and would for the pie, but what a missed opportunity to make something up to your customers.

Chocolate cupcake tasted exactly like a supermarket bakery cupcake--too sweet, artificial, and plastic. In a city with plenty of great bakeries, not worth it.

Pretty tasty! Ordered the quiche and salad meal that comes with a slice of pie for $7.99. The salad is nothing but iceberg lettuce with a few tomatoes, but the quiche was delicious! I ordered the Key Lime pie which was quite tasty. Cute little place with homey decor (the plates they serve your food on are all mismatched, just like at grandmas house). I would come back if I was in the neighborhood.

Tried the Michigan sour cherry pie. Crust was lovely and filling was tasty and tart. The was too much crust to filling for me. The filly was really good and I would have preferred more of it. Empanada was tasty with fresh dough. I'm a wimp with green chili, though. I need to remember to ask "ARE there green chili peppers?" instead of "is it spicy". :) Empanada was much bigger than I expected, and very filling. Will go back to try the other items. So many pie choices!!!

ECCXXELLLENT. What a wonderful shop! This is THE place in the SW burbs to get your sweet tooth on! Homemade pies, homemade ice cream from Magil's(really good ice cream shop in Lakewood), lots of good fudges, baked goods....etc. Pie by the slice is a great deal, and honestly the pies are great. I've had the peanut butter, chocolate silk, and pumpkin and they all delivered. Homemade crust just like grandma used to make. At Granny Scott's, you can have your pie and eat it too.....whatever that means.

Very poor service. The staff (including the owner) was indifferent and more interested in their personal conversations than the customers. I had purchased a whole pie to take with me and a slice of pie to taste at the restaurant. I had ask three times for the slice before finally being served (2 staff and the owner). Mediocre pie and very poor service.

I ordered two slices; peach and rhubarb to go. ( A whole pie was priced at an eye-popping $22. ). The level of claimed satisfaction with what constitutes a genuine homebaked style pie must be lost on the current generation, since Granny;s pies are a woefully short of being anywhere close to satisfactory, not to mention WAY overpriced. In fact I believe grocery store or frozen pies are equal to Grannys' . My slices were soggy, had tasteless crusts and their filling were glutinous and not very flavorfull. The peach slice had a very promienent off flavor. So save your money and get your pies somewhere else. This place is a FAIL!

Two pieces of pie and one piece of fudge $15!!. I give them 2 stars for a cute pie shop idea but the pie wasn't any better than u can get at a grocery store. I didn't even eat the fudge it was so dry. Not what I am used to from East Coast boardwalk fudge shops. Shame on me for going there with that in mind. Definitely won't be back
(2)Hayley G.
Well, I'm only giving four stars because I feel I am not yet qualified to rate the shop in it's entirety, seeing as how I've only tried a latte and a cinnamon roll. However, the coffee is delish as is the cinnamon roll, and all the other delectables calling my name from the cases have impressed me as well. They have a wide array of fudge, pie (obviously), pastries, and even ice cream here. But don't fret, it's not just a sugar-phile's dream. They also have a nice selection of soups and sandwiches. And free wi-fi, and they're open 'til eight! It's a little hole-in-the-wall (doesn't look like much from outside!), but a gem once you walk in the doors. I will definitely be back!
(4)Holly S.
While this place has the feel of your grandma's house (think doilies and mismatched dishes), the pies are AMAZING. I hunted all over Denver for the best fruit pies and Granny Scott's was far above the rest. We had them cater our wedding pie bar and guests were fighting over the leftovers at the end of the night.
(5)Holly G.
I have not had lunch here, only pie. It is quite tasty pie in my opinion. Since pie is time consuming to make and also seems to be hard to find outside of diners and such establishments, I tend to get a slice here every so-often. Their best flavors are chocolate silk, grasshopper, and peanut butter.
(3)Marcus R.
Well when it comes to small mom and pop shops this is the greatest pie shop and lunch stop in Denver. I found this little gem nestled in my office complex and will have to say that they have the best pie I have eaten outside of my grandmas kitchen. All of the staff are very nice and helpful. I think that everyone should get a pie from them. Go visit see for yourself.

I never knew that this pie shop sat tucked away down in Lakewood. The shop's ambiance is quaint and quiet. I found the staff extremely friendly and hard working. I guess when you are constantly making pies, you need to keep your nose to the grind stone. Surprised to find Granny Scott served sandwiches and food too, however their bread and butter are the pies and deserts. YUMMY. Had a hot chocolate too, and it more than met my expectations. Better than any Starbucks. I restrained myself from all the fudge delectably tempting me from the glass display. Add in the fact, adjacent to the main register, you find Macgill's ice cream refridgerator, and your sweet tooth aches to sample everything in there.

I had this coupon where you get a free half sandwich, slice of pie and a drink with a value up to $7.99. Went here tonight with my daughter and spent $12 for another half sandwich, cup of soup, slice of pie, fountain drink and a cup of milk for the toddler I was watching. Good thing I had the coupon because NO WAY would it have been worth $20 for these two measly meals!! My daughter - Half a tuna sandwich, fountain drink and banana cream pie. She said the tuna wasn't that great and the pie was okay. Me - Half chicken salad (so they say) sandwich, cream of brocolli soup, chocolate cream pie and a fountain drink. Yuck! The sandwich was more like a quarter than a half. The chicken didn't even look like chicken nor did it taste like chicken, simply put, it was disgusting. The meat was more like small black pieces of I have no idea and there was probably about a tablespoon, if that, on the sandwich. The soup was "ok" and the pie was absolutely gross, it tasted like it was made with sour milk or something. The baby wouldn't eat any of it at all and that's bad 'cause she usually eats just about anything! On a scale of 1 - 10 I give this place a -5! Won't be back for certain!

Went for the first time for during the National Pie Day special (all you can eat for $5.99). We were able to sample lots of delicious pies including their quiches, which were so yummy and fabulous! I am a big fan of cherry pie and theirs was the best I've ever had. We are definitely going back again.

Great Pies, Wonderful Service! Try the Pecan Pie.
