Cookie Review: I haven't looked at all the reviews, but this one is just about the cookies! My neighbor brings the kids in the neighborhood cookies for Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, and they are the absolute prettiest, and most delicious cookies I have seen/tasted. They're such works of art, and I just want to look at them, but knowing how good they taste I have to eat them... right away!! Of course, my son does get a few too : )

My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful! It was everything I had hoped and dreamed of.... I envisioned this cake and sent my Mom and Aunt on a mission to find a baker who would make it to my request. It was different from what was traditional but it was what I wanted. Janusz designed this cake right in front of my cake shopping team, exactly how I wanted it, but with more detail and elegance. It was more than I had envisioned, and I loved it. I had only seen the drawing but I felt confident in Janusz's skills as did did my Mom and Aunt. On the day of the wedding, when I saw it for the first time- it was magical. The cake was magnificent. It stole the show. Everyone talked about the cake, how beautiful it was, how delicious it was....It was perfect. I highly recommend this cake genius!

I love Janusz....Well, Janusz's cakes. Truly. Our wedding cake was one of the highlights of the day for me. And he was incredibly sweet throughout the whole process as well! He is super friendly and incredibly attentive as well as talented. I sampled cake at another incredibly popular bakery (not going to name names but it is Peruvian and has excellent branding/marketing) and it does not hold a flame to Elegant's cake. We sampled a variety of flavors and loved all of them. Overall, I would highly recommend Elegant Bakery for anyone wanting an amazing custom cake.

So many cakes, so little time! Unfortunately, I don't think I could ever afford such a decadent display, but the cakes were pretty to look at. The selection of small treats was varied, but terribly expensive. We opted for a small (very small) cannoli. My first time having one and it was great!

The cake we ordered for our daughter's birthday was beyond our expectations. The owner is incredibly sweet and did her absolute best to make sure we were happy. The cake was designed to perfection and had to be one of the best cakes we've ever eaten. It drew so many "aww's" and "yums" from everyone. I'll only go to Elegant Bakery from here on out.

Janusz is an artist. Elegant Bakery was on the list of recommended bakers from our wedding venue, and ended up being the only place we tried out. We went for a tasting last summer and tried out the black and white raspberry cake, the Tropical Caribbean, and the vanilla cake with mimosa mousse. All three were delicious, but the Caribbean (lemon poppy) and the black raspberry cake was to die for. We ended up choosing to alternate the tiers between the two flavors, which was no problem for them. When we went to order our cake, I emailed in photos of cakes I liked from Elegant Bakery and other websites, and he drew me up a sketch that was simply stunning. His staff called a few weeks ahead to confirm the guest number and flavors, and he called me personally to discuss colors. After thirty seconds or so, I realized he was a genius and left him to his own devices. My trust was rewarded as our cake was absolutely stunning. Plus, they delivered it in a narrow period of time with absolutely no complications. I would readily recommend Chef Janusz and Elegant Bakery for about anything cake-related. Their "Best of Weddings" award was highly deserved.

Very disappointed in the customer service. We bought our wedding cake from them, and the top tier was carrot cake, my husband's favorite. As it was the smallest tier, and no one thought to grab him a piece, he ended up not being to have any at our wedding. I've been planning for the last year to surprise him on our anniversary by ordering another cake from Elegant Bakery, so I called one month ahead to set it up. I was told that it wouldn't be a problem at all, and to call the day before I needed the cake. So, I called today as I need the cake for our anniversary tomorrow. Was told very curtly that carrot cake takes more time than that and I could have a cake next week. I explained that I was following the instructions I was given the last time I called and was told "baking takes more time than that." Yup, which is why I called a month ago to set this up. I'm left with no options and now no anniversary gift for my husband, as well as no apology from Elegant Bakery. What a bummer.

Elegant bakery is the premier bakery in Denver metro. Janusz & his wife are perfectionists in every aspect. They are true artists. Every cake is made with premium ingredients. I choose Elegant bakery for every occasion. Of course they did my daughters wedding cake & it was exquisite. 10 stars!

I will just say this: our wedding was incredible, at a gorgeous venue, with every detail perfected. However, a year later, all anyone still talks about is the cake. Janusz told us his idea, but when we actually saw the cake, we were stunned at how amazing it looked. Many of our guests didn't even realize it was a cake - they thought it was a sculpture! And, as other reviewers have noted, it also tasted incredible. We could not have asked for a better cake to be the centerpiece of our celebration.

So, I ordered a 6" cake for my husbands 40th bday. Cake was very pretty, but didn't taste all that spectacular. Also I paid almost $25 for a cake that feeds 4-6. Not all that impressed.

Selecting our wedding cake was by far the most fun shopping experience we had while planning our wedding. The tasting was wonderful. Janusz took plenty of time to explain our options. Every time he had an idea he'd go to the back and bring something new out for us to taste. He listened very carefully to the ideas that we already had and then he took the time to sketch his vision for the cake right then and there. We ended up selecting a two-tier cake, one tier was yellow and chocolate cake with a raspberry filling. The second tier was white with a strawberry champagne filling. He uses fresh fruit for his fillings and you can tell, it's absolutely delicious! After we'd left from the initial tasting, he was so good about communicating with me. He called with questions and asked for additional photos to make sure that our cake was perfect. I was running around around the reception room when he arrived to deliver the cake, perfectly on time. He took it out of the box and it was PERFECT! He incorporated our wedding colors and elements from my wedding dress. Absolutely beautiful. It was a work of art. The cake tasted amazing. The fresh fruit in the filling was wonderful, the frosting is not too sweet. It was better than I'd expected and our guests were very impressed. We'll keep Janusz in mind for birthdays and other events in the future.

Janusz is my hero. Really, this gentleman from Poland is passionate about cakes and pastries, and his love of the craft is evident in his work and subsequently, in my tummy. Need a huge, fancy , tasty cake for a wedding? What about a bite of something sweet to get you through another case of the Mondays? Elegant Bakery wonderfully provides both and everything in between. These people can create just about anything you ask them to, and you can rest assured they will put their heart and soul into it. Just get Janusz talking about his philosophy of perfectly fresh ingredients combined with time-honored recipes and you'll soon find yourself looking at that sweet confection in a whole new light. Their prices are also very reasonable for the high quality of their product. You won't find many trendy cupcakes in this bakery, just good quality sweets.

I wanted a very special cake for my baby shower and had a picture of my "dream cake" - twin babies peeking out from under a hat box. I visited several bakeries around Denver who said they could not handle a fondant cake. My Mom (who lives out-of-town) found Elegant Bakery online. I brought Chef Janusz and his wife a picture and, when I arrived at my party to see the finished cake, it was over-the-top! The details they added were AMAZING - from the facial expressions to the pacifiers to the embossed baby blanket. As previous posters have said, the taste was as good as the look! I will definitely be ordering all my special occasion cakes from Elegant Bakery! There is no other choice!

Best bakery in Denver. Janusz did my wedding cake and it was absolutely stunning. He integrated my desire for contemporary and classic looking wedding cake. The way that he used the lace of my dress, the flowers in my bouquet, and all the other little details to make a cake that matched my entire wedding was amazing. And on top of that it is a cake that tastes just a delicious as it looks. My husband insisted that Janusz made the cake because of the white chocolate fondant and we definitely do not regret that decision for a minute.

I had a very upsetting and strange experience after choosing Elegant Bakery for my wedding cake this summer. Janusz was recommended to me by a family member, and he knew I had the unfortunate task of planning my Colorado wedding while living out of state. So, we met with him 6 months before the wedding, tried samples (which were amazing), and discussed the details in depth. I gave him a sheet with the flavors I wanted, my contact info, guest numbers, and he said he would send me a sketch of the cake six weeks before the wedding. Three people came with me to the tasting, and all said it was 100% clear I wanted him to bake my cake. So, fast forward to eight weeks before the wedding, when I exchanged about a dozen emails and a phone call with him, because we had decided to change our cake from something extravagant, to a basic 2-tier frosted cake. Again, he said good to go. Now, two weeks before the wedding, I call to confirm and give him my credit card information, at which point, he says, well, you never signed a contract so I can't do your cake. He the lectured me about how he fills up months in advance. I was stunned, and hung up in shock. Let me first say that, from a business-minded person's point of view, this may be my fault for not double-checking that I had a contract with him. I only have contracts with two of my four vendors. The ones I do have contracts with sent me the contracts when I told them I wanted to use them. They communicated, and made sure things were good to go on both ends. Those that I don't have contracts with are people that I know in at least a marginally personal fashion, like Janusz. I feel that, in general with regards to vendors, if I decide to use your services, you need to tell me what I need to do to move the process forward. There is also the consideration that we're talking about a $500 cake here, not a $3,000 photographer. I feel that, with my connection to Janusz, I was entirely justified in believing that he had put me on the calendar. I don't have an axe to grind, and everything I experienced indicates that Janusz is a talented artist who makes delicious cakes. But after spending an hour speaking with him, shaking hands, and exchanging a dozen emails... because I didn't have a contract, all this meant nothing. I must also point out that, at no point, did Janusz ever ask me to sign a contract. I would happily have signed one in December, if he had asked. Even when, eight weeks before the wedding, I was discussing all the new details with him, he never once indicated that anything was awry. In sum, this review is not a reflection of Janusz's cakes, which are probably amazing.. but rather about my experience with how he treated me... in an impersonal fashion with a total lack of communication. So ladies, if you want to use Elegant Bakery for your wedding, your cake will probably taste and look amazing... but please be sure to immediately demand a contract, or you may end up with nothing.

"Wow" is the only word to describe our amazing wedding cake. Similar to another reviewer, we had other tasting appointments scheduled but after visiting Elegant Bakery, cancelled them all. Quite simply: Chef Janusz is the best at what he does. The cake was so beautiful that guests were snapping photos of it before we (sadly) cut it! But the taste and flavor of the cake took everything from excellent to perfect. So yummy. Thank you!

I would recommend Chef Janusz and Elegant Bakery to anyone looking to do a cake for any special occasion. He is so professional and really took time to learn exactly what we wanted for our wedding cake, LOVED our wedding cake. He did an absolutely amazing job and we were so thrilled when we laid eyes on it...it was perfect, exactly what we had in mind. And not only was it beautiful, it tasted so good, we had so many compliments on the cake decor and the flavor, our guests were quite impressed! We cannot thank you enough, the cake was stunning and the detail that went into each flower was incredible, we were truly blown away at your work!! Thank you again Chef Janusz and Elegant Bakery :)
