Dined there this week with friends. The interior was attractive, but had a musty odor. The service was attentive despite being busy catering to a large party on the side. I liked that the menu had a variety of items that sounded appealing, from a blue plate bourbon chicken special to the special mac n cheese to a variety of dinners and casual selections. There was also a $2.50 special on two beers that night. Unfortunately the food disappointed. A thai peanut dish was flavorful but oversalted. And my wife's salmon salad did come with a blacked fish, but we were quite certain they had run out of salmon and substituted another fish - it certainly did not appear or have the texture of salmon. All in all it was a fair place to meet and have drinks, but the dinners did not leave us wanting for more.

Ate here over my lunch hour and the food was pretty good. (6.5 on a 10. 10 being the highest) the fries were very good the seasoning was good and were perfectly cooked, had the bison burger. The burger didn't have much flavor over all had to dress it up with a-1. Good came out at a normal pace, about a 5 minute wait, during the rush hour. The server wasn't very good wasn't friendly nor fast. Total meal with the burger and coke came to 15.36.

I love the grown up mac and cheese, but this time we went for brunch. it was just as good as I expected it to be. They can get pretty busy, but there's usually not a long wait. Their menu offers all types and testes of food - so you're sure to find something for everyone in the group. If you go with a large group, be sure to call ahead for a reservation. They are really accommodating and will take care you! They have a decent wine list, but could have more options on it. Other than that Chad's will always be a great food night - or great brunch morning.

Great place to come by yourself or with a group. I would call this a sports bar/ family restaurant depending on the day an time. The bartender was so so nice! She was the perfect amount of talkative and helped me figure out some good things to do while I was in Denver. Bonus points for playing Wyclef Jean - Gone Til November on the sound system. I ordered the Grown Up Mac & Cheese with sausage. It was cheesy goodness, but I would recommend sharing it. It's gigantic. I had a local beer from the tab to go with, really yummy, refreshing, and enjoyable. This place is definitely recommended by me!

First of all service was great! Nice people. Food on the other hand not so great. Chicken pot pie bland and then found cartilage. Lettuce wraps tasted burnt and cheese steak salty. I hear great things about this place especially the burgers. Nextvtime will stick to that.

Seems like a nice place, but need quality control! Our sever brushed us off after we didn't order alcohol and actually appeared irritated to the point that my laid back husband even was offended! They have a nice selection of entrees and the chicken tortilla soup was light and spicy and quite tasty! However, it was lukewarm and when served to my sloshed all over and onto the table without any attempt to clean up.The pork and avocado burrito we tried was even more chilly, also had a pretty fanned avocado on top- unfortunately it had large black spots and was truly rotten. Ugh. Didn't have a lot of faith in the quality of the food. Didn't have any faith our server would help either.

Nothing to see here. Trying to play on atmosphere which is the only thing going for Chad's. Prime rib was the special tonight. I had mine topped with shrimp and mushrooms. Bad cut of meat, not cooked to request (over cooked) and the shrimp tasted like they were straight out of the freezer. Mushrooms were decent. All this said, I would have given the place two or three stars but I decided to drop it down once I saw the check. They charge $1.50 for a 1oz shot of the rotating tap beer. Not a true sample like in a brewery, a shot. First time I have ever seen this. Stay away as there are other options off Union.

My meal, of the crab cake sandwich, was decent. Although, I don't like that it was served on Vienna bread (aka white bread) and my truffle fries were flaccid. The biggest reason for my 2 star vote was because they couldn't even cook my husband's steak right; he ordered medium rare and got well done. That's an automatic I'm-not-coming-back-anymore vote for me. If you can't cook a steak right, you need to stay home. Major foul guys. We appreciate that they took it off the tab but that deserved a free dessert or something else. My husband was eating crackers because he was still hungry!

I have Gone to this place for many years and it has really gone downhill. We ate on the patio and it was dirty and old and worn out looking. Stained cheap carpet and worn out looking. Terrible food served cold. The menus looked like something from a dive bar. Poor service. There were five of us and it took over five minutes for the last two meals to arrive. Last time I'll go here. Too bad.... I used to like this place.

I have been here three times and on two occasions the experience was just weird. The first time I dined here we were brought out a basket of crackers, and in the basket was pieces of cereal, the fruit loop variety.... Hmmmm, I didn't see cereal listed on the menu..... Upon telling the server he seemed embarrassed. I had a salad and my friend had the gyro. My salad was ok, as salads go and my friend raved about her gyro. Upon a return visit me and another friend also had the gyro. The gyros came out wrapped, as per usual, but when my friend opened hers they had this red goo in spots on the inside of the wrapper. The server insisted it was tomato.... Not sure what kind if tomato she has been eating because this looked like what I can only describe as frosting of some sort. However, when you see something out of the ordinary and red you tend to be reminded of blood. My friend was so disturbed she didn't want to eat any food from there. We asked for a new sandwich but all they did was rewrap it. Some may say not a big deal but to me it was. Twice random food particles that didn't belong in a meal were there. If they are that careless about presentation what else are they careless about?

The decor of this restaurant is kind of exotic, reminds me of The Elephant Bar. It's surprisingly spacious inside! We started out with the app Burger Sliders with Tater Chips, it was not bad, the buns were especially good. But it'd be better if there was a slice of cheese! A major disappointment was their shakes. On the menu it said "thick & creamy", hardly so! We ordered the Hazelnut shake, but it was just like any vanilla shake even though the waitress insisted she put hazelnut in it. Strangely the color was white! And we thought it was too pricy at almost $5 for some runny shake! Should've saved room and money for dessert instead! The Grown Up Mac and Chese was seriously the best I've ever had! So flavorful and creamy and cheesy! I added grilled chicken and replaced sun dried tomatoes with fresh ones. Love it love it love it! Would come back just to have that!

As a vegetarian, this is a very welcome discovery. I had the superfood salad and it was excellent. Loaded with lots of fresh kale and other greens, pumpkin seeds, cranberries, almonds, some grain, I added avocado, not too much dressing. It's so hard to find interesting and healthful vegetarian salads that will actually stand alone as a meal, and this one was truly inspired. My companion had the grown up mac and cheese, which she also loved. Service was just fine. Would absolutely come back.

Had a pleasant experience here, the Cobb salad was very good. My colleague got the rotisserie chicken which looked amazing. Quick service for lunch which was a plus.

Chad's Grill has been all over the place. They want to be finer dining, but it is hit or miss on whether they achieve that. A few weeks ago, we stopped by here to have dinner. Everything was excellent and the timing of our food was great. Fast forward to last Saturday, where we waiting a long time for our appetizer and even longer for our food to come out. The section we were in was mostly empty yet there was a wait because the kitchen couldn't keep up. My prime rib wasn't very hot, which is okay, but the au jus was cold. I didn't want to hassle my waiter, so I just ate it. Our waiter mentioned that the kitchen had a hard time with the Mother's Day crowd, so I'm glad we didn't come here then. In all, I am regretting spending $75 on a meal that should have been better, and I will hesitate before deciding to come back here in the near future.

Came here for lunch with my coworker. I guess from the outside and the location I just expected...more? The inside is clean but I agree with other reviewers that maybe the decor needs some updating. I like how there is a large bar area. I got a wrap that was on special and it came with a chicken tortilla soup and some fries ($9). There was a lot of meat in the soup. The wrap was also very good. The chicken here is so good! I think the rotisserie chicken is what they are known for and do well. I want to try the chicken enchiladas next time. The prices here aren't too bad, but they seem maybe a dollar or two over priced for each item. A meal here is over $10 generally, unless on special. Beer prices seem high. Service was good. Wish they had more than just a couple lunch deals.

Great list of beers on tap (I love anyplace that has Dry Dock Apricot Blond on Tap). I had the brussel sprout appetizer which I loved every bite and The Super Food Salad which had all of the wonderful ingredients in every bite. It seems like they did have a lot of options and their main focus seems to be rotisserie and Cajun. The waitress was pleasant an attentive as well. Décor is dark/outdated and interesting art on the wall for sale (some good and some not so good...LOL!). I am not sure if/when I will be back since this is not in my hood as we went for a friend's Bday who lives in Lakewood. But overall I felt like it was a good experience.

A little underwhelmed by this place. Plenty of great beers on tap and great employees but as far as our meals went, London Broil was disappointing, as was the rotisserie chicken. The sauce they used just wasn't that tasty. Not that they were bad, just nothing special. I have to say the best part of the meal was the potatoes and the corn. The menu had a wide variety of foods and I bet some of the other options are much better, but I don't know if I'm willing to give it a try.

Came here while staying across the street and wanted a quick bite before a Broncos game. First off, bar food has come a long way and given the nice exterior and interior, I thought it was going to be better. The food was decent, not great but not horrible. I had a chicken sandwich that was incredibly dry that I had to use a ton of mayo and ketchup. However, the wings were decent and the place had a good beer selection. The service, while polite, was not the best. It took forever to get our check, almost to the point where I had to find the waiter at the bar while he was chatting with the bartender. It was decent price, and it did fill us up but it is a place that I probably would not go again unless it was an emergency.

CHAD'S---Hmmm---As soon as I walked in I could smell a sharp sting hitting my nose; it was the distinctive smell of dirty carpet floating in the air.. The tables were sticky, and had to polish my own silverware.. What...There's that smell again (dirty carpet)..The food was OK, but nothing to write home about.. Service was good seeing that it was busy but I might try the burger that everyone raves about if they remove the carpet and put down tile or a laminate.. Because an aftertaste of dirt carpet is just not that edible..

I have been here twice, once for drinks with a couple of friends and again for dinner. So this is going to be 2 reviews smashed into 1. Pluses: ~ Within walking distance from home ~ Good strong mixed drinks ~ Our server the night I was here for dinner was attentive and funny ~ Apps, dinner and desert were pretty darn good. ~ The restaurant itself is big ~ Nice big fireplace ~ Clean bathrooms (HUGE PLUS!!!) Minuses: ~ We paid a little extra for the drinks to get a special glass, the waitress took them to clean and we never got them back. ~ The bartender the night I was here for drinks was kind of a delta-bravo and seemed more interested in chatting with the other servers than taking care of the patrons. ~ A little over priced for a full meal ~ The bar area seems small for such a large place We started with the potstickers and they were good. Nothing really special about them although one of the sauces that came with it wasn't very good. I had the cajun pasta which was really flavorful and filling. I couldn't finish and was able to take it home and finish the yummy goodness the next day for lunch. My friend ordered one top sirloin. He asked for it Medium and it came out more medium well to well done. He didn't seem to mind though, he ate the whole thing. For desert we split the Colorado mud pie (I think) and oh my that was amazing! Overall, not a bad experience, and since it is so close to home (at least for now) I am sure I will be back again. I want the glasses I paid extra for darnit!

I've been here three times now for business lunches and nothing has stood out to me. Good or bad. Prices are fair and they have daily lunch specials. I ordered the green chili stew the last time and I like the heat it brought. Could have used a little more pork in it though.

I have been here several times. Basically I don't care for the place and feel like it needs a little kick in the ass. Food is mediocre but the service has been mostly pretty good, including one time where we had an awful food experience but was made right by the server and manager. If I go back, it won't likely be my idea

Another TGIFriday's. We had a coupon from the website, but wait staff said it was not valid. Had to 'show' the staff the website, then they honored it. But, they had to tell us that the coupon should not have been on the website. Who cares! Just honor it! Food was good and service was good (despite they had coupon thing).

Our group comes here weekly for running club (they sponsor us). The employees at Chad's are as good as they get. They recognize us and make us feel very valued. Thus the reason I try to support Chad's on days that we don't have running club. They have a good food selection and a great bar menu. The ambiance is very lively as well. These people know how to take care of you! It's great that they also started trivia on Wednesday nights as well. It's a great local hangout!

The place seems a bit outdated, decor a little dark. Brat burger okay, fries a little soggy. Chicken not bad, the mashed potatoes were lacking a bit in flavor. Service was good.

I ordered the hamburger, the bun was soooo greasey, the fries were too and the service sucked. Will never go back again. Also the food came out less than luke warm.

Was looking for a new place for a bloody mary bar with good breakfast type food. We found it. They also have quite a few delicious vegetarian options. I really have enjoyed my experience each and every time I have gone.

My boyfriend tried to warn me that he has never had a very good experience at Chad's, but being the stubborn woman that I am, I wanted to form my own opinion....so he reluctantly met me and a friend there for dinner. Customer Service: 4 STARS -For the record, I do want to give a shout out to the waiter (Jesse?) who provided great customer service (including turning on the hockey game for us) despite the review that follows... Decor/Ambiance: 2 STARS -Outside looks nice -like an upscale grille restaurant, but inside looks like a dated pub bordering on dive-bar and could use some spring cleaning. The place was pretty empty except for a few people at the bar and one or two other tables dining. Menu: 1.5 STARS -Nothing outstanding. I would concur with another review on here that between the decor/ambiance and menu, Chad's seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis. Food: 1 STAR -The good news is that my boyfriend got a burger which was good, no complaints from him. Cooked to his specifications. :) I ordered the Salmon Caesar Salad and literally thought I was being 'Punked' when he brought it out to me and the piece of salmon on top was a 2" x 2" square! Seriously the smallest portion of salmon I have ever seen. The waiter agreed it was quite small and offered to tell the kitchen staff and stated he would bring me out an additional portion of salmon which he did. However, when I put my fork into the additional piece of salmon he waiter brought out, I discovered it was literally RAW inside! And I don't mean "mostly cooked, but a little undercooked in the very middle", I mean full-on RAW on the inside! (Had the salmon been sushi grade, I might have gone there, but everything in my gut said "Food poisoning!" so I didn't...) Our friend ordered a steak that turned out to be grisly, chewy and difficult to cut. When the waiter came back by and saw our friend struggling to cut his steak, he offered to have the kitchen make a new steak for him with a better cut of meat. I then pointed out the raw salmon that was brought out and the waiter apologized and took it back to the kitchen, returning it a few minutes later fully cooked (AKA "microwaved"). He also brought our friend a better cut of meat. At one point the manager came to our table and we made a point to tell him that the waiter was doing a good job, but we had some concerns about what was going on in the kitchen. The waiter did not charge me for my Caesar Salad which was nice and he seemed genuinely embarrassed by the quality of the food he was bringing us from the kitchen. Due to the good customer service on behalf of the waiter and manager, this rating gets 2 stars (instead of 1). I think Chad's has a LOT of potential to be a great restaurant if it had a mini-makeover, revamped it's menu and overhauled the kitchen staff. I can't help but secretly hope Chad's gets a little help from one of those Kitchen Nightmares or Restaurant Impossible shows on T.V. Until then, I will not be back. O_o

An actual restaurant/bar, I used to go there 2 times at week at least during winter (so close to work). Food is actually really good, and they have a good variety. I used to order the daily specials (blue plate specials), but the Pollo A La Brasa is also very good. Never tried the deserts though. Waiters are nice and polite, but I am giving three stars for the time it takes for the food to arrive. As a lunch place, sometimes it can take up to 20 minutes, which is a long wait.

Basil penne was above average but not great. Good dish to order if your not very hungry. Limited menu choices.

I went here for a work dinner last week and was a bit concerned what my meal would be like after reading the 2-star reviews. The meal itself wasn't bad,I ordered the quarter portion of the Pollo a la Brasa with a Mama's Lil Yella Pils. I'd actually rate it 3 stars, an A-OK. Chicken was moist and well seasoned, rice wasn't memorable, just steamed brown rice and the plantains were very tasty. However both the service (or lack there or) and cleanliness of the place (again, lack there of), knocks it down to 2. Our server was inattentive, forgetful, and honestly, had an unpleasant attitude, like she didn't want to be there. And the table next to us was empty prior to us sitting down for our dinner and wasn't cleaned the entire time we were there, which was about 3 hours. Additionally the three runner rugs in the front of the restaurant could use a vacuuming and the ladies room could be checked more frequently. Unless it's a company dinner, I probably won't return to Chad's. After our experience, I don't think we will be having another one here anyway.

I was a little confused because the outside was so new looking and nice. Then the inside was a little outdated. The beer selection was very slim as they didn't have the three beers I had ordered off the menu. Our waitress was very nice though and was helpful at giving us information on different places to go to. I enjoyed my bison burger. It was very filling, grilled to perfection, and delicious. The amount of fries we got were slim so it's good that the burger was filling.

Super rude bartender hung up on me and said "I don't even care what you do?" Misleading late night menu.. I wouldn't feed my dog from this place.. horrible staff. Note to owener.. Pay attention to your staff.. they are ruining your business. Whomever is your late shift female bartender.. you lost a group of affluent tourists right now. Nice work!

Just overall great. We were in for a late dinner on a weeknight after touring around all day. Best chicken Caesar salads ever! All staff was friendly and polite. Can't wait to go back again while we're still in town!

I live nearby and have visited Chad's several times. Usually the service is great but every once in a while there is a negative experience as far as wait staff or the food itself. The grilled artichoke is great however there have been several occasions such as my last visit where they did not have any artichokes. The adult mac and cheese is delicious and I really enjoy having that as a meal! I have been there for the prime rib night as well and that is quite a good deal! The prime rib was great and so was the price! I will be back.

Nothing special, but not bad. Chads had always been a place I was going to go into and never made it until this past Sunday. No real complaints, the food was good and the service decent. The brunch menu looked fairly typical, but interesting mix of buffet brunch foods along with main dishes that were cooked to order. We opted for burgers. Just slightly over cooked, but not enough to complain about. Food overall was good. Better than chilis or applebees, just nothing unique or memorable. Assuming they are consistent with all of this I would go back there again.

It's Mothers day right. I was planning on having a delicious dinner. We get there & waited for about 10mins until the waiter comes & greets us n gets our drink order. Another 10mins we get our drinks. ordered appetizers came out 20 mins later. Odered dinner. Took forever to come out. I got the bourbon bbq chicken. The broccoli was dry n had a bland taste to it. Sweet potato fries were the only food good on the plate. The chicken was soggy the meat was rubbery. Nasty. Service wasn't all tht great either. Not coming back for awhile!

Love the adult mac and cheese. Cheap beer and football on the tv, can't go wrong. Customer service is great and it's in an ideal location. Nothing flashy, just a good one fashion sports bar with food that's worth eating.

I've been going to Chad's since I was a kid in the 80s... Over the years they have usually been pretty good. A few years ago I was with a group that met regularly there and after meeting there for several months, the service waned and they really just quit being good to us, and so we quit meeting there. At the time, I thought I would probably never go back. I'm glad that I have given them a second chance recently. I have a large networking group and we have scheduled two large events (more than 20-30 people at each event) with them on their patio, within the last couple of months, and the service and food has been excellent. Let me tell you, as an event/networking group organizer (Onederous Tribe), it is way more difficult than it should be to get good service and to get treated as a wanted guest at many restaurants around town. Chad's was ready for us each time we met, and they came through for us. Both of these events were held on their patio, and truly, I just have to say, thanks for a really great experience! Last night, I brought a private group of around 16 to the restaurant. I knew in advance that we wouldn't have the patio (they told me they were already booked when I made the reservation). I was a little wary about whether they would truly be able to accommodate our group outside of the privacy of the patio. They absolutely gave us stellar service. When we arrived, the set-up of the tables wasn't quite right for our group, and they quickly accommodated us and helped us set it up in a more optimal manner (the owner, himself, was there helping us move tables around). We had a great meeting and our server was attentive without being disruptive (we had a speaker addressing the group). The food was great, and overall, they just made us feel welcome, and as I say, that is something that does not happen as often as it should, in my experience with multiple local restaurants in the Denver-Metro area. I have been looking at a few of the lower rated reviews of Chad's, as I'm here writing this review, and I just absolutely couldn't disagree more with the criticisms. I have found Chad's to be a wonderful place to host events. I have never noticed anything other than a clean, fresh environment, the service has been excellent and the food is more than fine. I will definitely be looking to Chad's as on my "A" list for future events. Thanks Chad's!

Pretty decent. In regards to the variety of restaurants in the area, Chad's is high up there. Service is always decent, but usually a bit lackadaisical, but whatever. I always enjoy my food, and Chad's is a relaxing and comfortable spot in an area lacking in relaxing and comfortable spots.

Hmmmm, yeah. Nothing to it at all. It's a sports bar, it's a grill, it's a mexican food joint, it's a pizza place, it's a seafood haven! It's a giant identity crisis that does not have anything that makes it stand out. Although, that could be an asset for a family looking to have dinner at a place that will cater to different cravings. $2.50 margaritas. Hmmmm, yeah. No, that's just because there's no alcohol in them. I thought the food was overpriced for the quality of it. Waitress was good. Checked in often and everything seemed pretty speedy. Totally agree with Matt O. - even if you're stuck in Lakewood, there are definitely better places to eat.

  • Jeff B.

I went here because it was close to my hotel. The service and prices were good, but the food was just okay. It was filling, but wasn't anything special. There are better restaurants nearby which I would recommend over Chad's.

Chad's Grill is simply fantastic. We eat there often (at least once every other week!) and always enjoy the food and service. The variety of options keeps us coming back as does the top rate customer service. You won't find a better local place that feels like home. I recommend the homemade chips, or the gyros, or the greek pizza .... and the pomegranate martini's. Yum!

We've been to Chad's for dinner 5 times now and always have a great meal. Even when they are busy...food comes out fast, which is very important when you have young children. Speaking of children, they have the best crayons and stickers to keep them busy while they are waiting. REAL CRAYONS people. Love, love, love the Grown Up Mac and Cheese.

I traveled here to watch the NFL season opener between the Ravens and Donkeys. The overall ambiance of this place was comparable to a Chile's or AppleBee's, sterile, dim lighting, out-dated decor. The Service was standard, no smiles at the door, no frowns either. The beer was good, everything I would expect from a Sierra Nevada, a 20oz draft was about 5 dollars, therefore, slightly on the less than expensive side, but not worth raving about. Overall it was a semi-pleasant non corporate bar/grille experience, i'll be back.

Wow... I can't believe the low star rating this amazing restaurant has! Chad's is the ONLY thing I miss about living in Lakewood. The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is great and did I mention how much I love the food? I've tried their entire menu by now (it was our place to go until we moved a couple of months back) and I loved it all. Someone said "identity crisis" but for me, that means this is the PERFECT place to go when I want seafood, my guy wants steak and my daughter can't make up her mind--we'll ALL be happy at Chad's--there's something for EVERY taste. Best of all, the prices are actually really reasonable for such amazing food... I really am surprised by the low star rating... It makes me wish I'd've posted a review AGES ago.

First time here - the menu is dated. They have burgers, pizzas, chicken dishes, but nothing seemed new or innovative. It's like I've seen the same menu since 1998. The hostess was great - I asked if we could have a table facing a TV (one of the bowl games was on), and she really seemed to try to find a perfect table for us. After that, the service went downhill. Our waitress was awful. Took forever to get us 2 beers - but didn't even think to bring us water. I looked around, and other people with different servers were getting served much faster. Normally, I wouldn't have minded the dated menu, but the food was not the greatest. Ordered nachos, pizza, and beer. All were OK - not the best, not the worst. The nachos would have been way better had they not been sitting under a heat lamp. Again, server problem. I don't think I would go here again, especially with all of the other options available in this area.

Our server was at the end of a 12 hour shift so we were pretty rushed to order, eat and pay our bill. The food was mediocre. One of those menus where it all seems fairly eh so it's hard to decide on what to order. My buffalo meatloaf was so so. Probably wouldn't return.

I'm not sure I have had a place implode such as this one. Firstly, why go to dinner in Lakewood if you live in Denver? Well, I went out with my girl and her mom, who lives in Lakewood, and she wanted to go here. We get a few strawberry margs and they are fruity and tasty, but I am not sure how much alcohol is in them. We also order the their famous spinach artichoke dip. Its probably as famous as Clint Howard but it was pretty tasty. At this point, I also got a cup of soup (literally in a coffee cup) that was decent, I am feeling that dinner could be ok. Wrong. My girl ordered a chicken dish, her mom ordered the halibut, and I ordered the jambalaya. My dish was warm...almost room temperature. I didn't say anything cause it isn't that big of a deal for me. However, my girls chicken was kind of cold and her moms halibut with mashed potatoes were kind of cold as well. We tell the waitress, she apologizes and takes the food back. When she returns, the chicken in hot but the halibut still not so. Then the waitress avoided us. She might have been embarassed or something, but to flat out ignore us is wrong. She did just that. Overall, the experience was lackluster. My dish, besides being tepid, was kind of uninteresting. Somewhat bland even. If you are in Lakewood, you could probably hit up something else...like Red Lobster. coloradoeats.com/chadsgr… *ADDENDUM* Her mom ended up getting food poisoning that night and next day.

OK, I'm upping the rating to four stars. Just ate the most delicious burger and it was only $5! You'll probably find me here every Sunday sometime between 5-8 p.m. for this special, very budget-wise!

I was really disappointed with almost every aspect of this place. The food was expensive and not very tasty. I had Buffalo Meatloaf and the gravy was horrible and not only was meat bland it was also very dry. The service was slow and not very cheery. The place was packed and noisy. I had high hopes due to the fact that every time you drive by they seem to have a large number of cars in the parking lot. I went wife my wife and her parents and everyone came away with the same felling....not bad but very disappointing.

Chad's will be easily forgotten for me. Mediocre service, food, and atmosphere. The only reason for a return visit is if I were working in one of the office buildings surrounding 6th ave and Simms and only had an hour for a business lunch. The happy hour is from 3 to 6, they should consider making 4 to 7 or 5 to 7, That way some people might have more of a reason to go there and get the food.

I have eaten here, probably 75 times. The food is consistently good, and the soups are the best! Serveice can vary due to the busy lunch crowd, but if you want a good variety menu to please the group, this place is very good. Also is my 10 year old son's favorite restaurant.

Chad's has a limited menu but tasty. They are a little on the pricey side for their portion sizes. Great bar atmosphere after the Denver West Business crowd leaves. If you want a night out on the town, take 6th Ave into Denver or Golden.

Met a friend who works at St. Anthony here for lunch today. Outside it does look like a cool, hip bar and grill but inside it is filled with uncomfortable chairs and nasty plastic plants everywhere...really dirty. The food was horrible. We ordered the chicken quesadilla appetizer and it had that bad meat or veggies or moldy bread flavor. Gross. We also ordered something smothered in green chili which had HUGE chunks or rock hard pork that we pulled out and laid In a napkin...totally unedible. I would never go back due to poor food quality and cheesy ambience.

I live a few blocks from here but had not tried yet because of the sub-par reviews. My boyfriend however, likes to experience things for himself so after a long Sunday drive we decided to give Chad's a try. It was Sunday after 4:00 p.m. We were one of the maybe 5 tables in the place. Service was OK. It took a few minutes to get our draft beers, which we were dying for, and they came out VERY flat. I wanted to send mine back but my boyfriend talked me out of it. We ordered two burgers and some chips and salsa for an app. The food came within a very timely manner. The burgers were cooked close enough to the temps we liked but tasted like ground beef and nothing else. Blah. The chips were good but the salsa was, eh. It's not a terrible place by any means but also not very impressive. I think Chad's would benefit from an interior makeover and food to match. The food isn't terrible but when you pair it with an Eh atmosphere you are really underwhelmed. As it is right now, I would not bring anyone here and I would not choose to go back.

I like to come here and sit at the bar. They have always had good bartenders and the food is pretty yummy for a bar! At night is better for me than than during the day... to many biz people. We used to go here in big groups and take over!! Good late night crowd! I like to come here from time to time.

This place is fantastic. It serves mostly "comfort" food, but they are almost all awesome dishes. Service is superb, as well! We've had Jesse help us three times, now, and we've had to tell his manager to give him a raise. And the other servers that helped us have kept up the same attitude and helpful mentality.

Not a lot of variety to choose from on the menu. Nothing that seems to be unique. I had the salmon caesar salad. The salmon was cooked well but very small. Under the salad was cheese bread which composed the bulk of the meal. I can't see myself going back.

I'd write a more detailed review, but the truth is I don't really remember anything about my meal at Chad's. Everything about the meal was forgettable - the setting, the service, the food - all of it. I do remember thinking the food wasn't very good and I'd probably not eat here again anytime soon.

I really struggle here, because I have discovered the homemade chips with bleu cheese dipping sauce which I love. But the service is so inconsistent. Sometimes you get a super attentive server who keeps your drinks coming, and other times you have to put forth effort to even get your water refilled. In conclusion, I keep my previous rating, but I have found several items on the menu worth coming back for. When its nice outside, the patio is fun. And they have a good happy hour.

This is that nice-looking place on the west side of Union Blvd. in Lakewood, with that awesome eight-foot torch flaring away in the breeze out front. Somehow, I'd always notice the place because of that when passing along that strip of road between 6th Avenue and Alameda. And after visiting Chad's a few times, I can say that it's a decent and relaxing place to go if you're sick of everything else or simply want somewhere new. Chad's offers a kind of generally American menu, but with some Italian, Cajun, and Mexican thrown in for good measure. Soup, salad, steak, pasta, pizza and burgers are the main choices here, and I was reasonably pleased with what I've had here. It's nothing extraordinary, but it's still somewhat opulent and competently tasty food. My introduction to the place was their Cajun jambalaya. It's robust and dazzling in that tropical, Cajun sort of way, and the brown rice, crawfish, veggies, and chicken are all distributed with even and distinct flavor. The Cajun Monica is also good, being a mild but wholesome creamy Cajun-flared pasta with those fun three-colored rotini noodles. The 'Grown-Up Mac 'n Cheese' is an interesting twist on this ubiquitous American simplicity, and the 'Hills of Rome' pizza is a nice authentically-Italian inspired pizza creation. There are also some festive salads and good American-styled appetizer choices, though nothing that really stands out from the rest. Then there's the bar, which I guess is good simply because it contains the usual oh-so winning trifecta of a shiny bar-top, plenty of variety and good-looking girls bartending all the while. Psh, probably fancy stools too, at this point. Take their word on it though, as I'm only nineteen, so I have no idea how it feels to sit there and throw 'em back at Chad's. Prices are going to be in the $7-$12 dollar range for your appetizer(s), and entrees are in the teens, though nothing is over $20, if I recall correctly. So yeah, this place is certainly holding its own, it seems, and the generally satisfying flavors here are unquestioned by me. I give this a mere three, just because the dishes are good, but not addictingly good. Three stars isn't necessarily a bad rating in my book anyway, so check out Chad's sometime when it's a close and convenient choice for the dining patrons.

Love the adult mac and cheese. Cheap beer and football on the tv, can't go wrong. Customer service is great and it's in an ideal location. Nothing flashy, just a good one fashion sports bar with food that's worth eating.

Super rude bartender hung up on me and said "I don't even care what you do?" Misleading late night menu.. I wouldn't feed my dog from this place.. horrible staff. Note to owener..

  • Chris W.

Super friendly bartender, loved the atmosphere. Food was very bar-food, if you know what I mean. I'd go back.

I went here because it was close to my hotel. The service and prices were good, but the food was just okay. It was filling, but wasn't anything special. There are better restaurants nearby which I would recommend over Chad's.

Our server was at the end of a 12 hour shift so we were pretty rushed to order, eat and pay our bill. The food was mediocre. One of those menus where it all seems fairly eh so it's hard to decide on what to order. My buffalo meatloaf was so so. Probably wouldn't return.

Chad's has a limited menu but tasty. They are a little on the pricey side for their portion sizes. Great bar atmosphere after the Denver West Business crowd leaves. If you want a night out on the town, take 6th Ave into Denver or Golden.

The Grown-up Mac and Cheese is my favorite. While it's not a fancy restaurant it's a neighborhood favorite.

I like to come here and sit at the bar. They have always had good bartenders and the food is pretty yummy for a bar! At night is better for me than than during the day... to many biz people. We used to go here in big groups and take over!! Good late night crowd! I like to come here from time to time.

Excellent service. Roman was very attentive and very quick with both food and drink. Food very good Brussels sprouts, wings and deviled egg appetizers. Bison meatloaf very good. Great selection of craft beer.

Yum!

OK, I'm upping the rating to four stars. Just ate the most delicious burger and it was only $5! You'll probably find me here every Sunday sometime between 5-8 p.m. for this special, very budget-wise!

I went here because it was close to my hotel. The service and prices were good, but the food was just okay. It was filling, but wasn't anything special. There are better restaurants nearby which I would recommend over Chad's.
