At first sight we were a bit nervous. From the outside this place looks sketchy. And, any place with big signs on the outside stating "For Sale" makes patrons a bit worried. Meanwhile, there aren't many alternatives in this remote section of the Rockies and we took a chance rather than eating nothing. Fortunately, the food is far better than we expected. The pizzas aren't amazing but they are far better than anything you'd get at the general store down the street or gas stations. To compare, it's far better than any poor chain pizza like Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns, etc. This pizza leaves nothing to complain about. You'll leave satisfied and full. We also tried the wings and side salads. The salads are what you'd expect. Wings, average. Meanwhile, we also ordered a meatball parm sandwich to go. The meatballs tasted homemade, rather than something frozen and the portions were large. Simply put, when driving through Lake George, your options are limited. This place (as long as it hasn't changed hands since this review) is a sure bet to full you up with better than average mountain town food. It won't impress you and make you want to return every time you drive through town, but you won't complain either.

The Greek Pizza was inspired! Garden salad with homemade balsamic was also excellent and very fresh. Free wifi a great benefit for travelers in this area of poor reception.

We ordered the 12" Meat Lovers Pizza with black olives and some jalapenos on the side. You can choose your crust so we had ours made with thin crust. About 15 minutes later it was delivered to our booth and it was not disappointing. The price is right also. I figure any time you can feed two for $20, including the beverage (soft drink) it's a good deal. The crust was crisp and there was more than enough meats, cheese and sauce to make everything great. If you are in this out of the way place, give it a try.

Lake George Pizza hosted our giant group this last Friday and it was so perfect! Great food, great service, and great wi-fi in an area without a lot of phone/internet service. Everyone enjoyed the pizza and beer and the ample space for our group to spread out and visit.

Great pizza! Wood fired and they grind their own sausage and ground beef. We got the supreme pizza, which was pretty tasty. Service was good too, Definitely stopping by again!

The food was really good. We had a pizza and a hamburger..both were very good. There did seem to be a problem with the fly population inside the restaurant. I hope they can take care of those flies because I would love to make a return visit.

Bought a pizza in 2011 here while I was camp hosting at the state park nearby. As another reviewer said, at first I thought it looked shady, but the pizza was great!

Place looked a little shady at first. But the service and food were made up for it. Fresh ground meat for the burgers. Huge steak fries and the pizza was great. Next time that I'm in Lake George ill be stopping in for another burger.

Great breakfast (3-egg omelet w/ sausage). Endless cup of coffee makes suffering the internet much more enjoyable. The WiFi works great too!

When you see this place from the outside, the fact that it is a double wide trailer can turn a lot of people off. However, the food is good and reasonably priced. We have had breakfast there occasionally and lunch several times when we drive through this little town. The pizza is great and there is a nice sandwich selection - my wife LOVES the peppy panini sandwich. It's a convenient stop for people heading to Breckenridge from the Springs. I'm looking forward to trying out the dinner menu - like the Friday Fish Fry. A very friendly serving staff makes the meal even more special.

Ever since Mountain Shadows went out of business in Lake George, I've been hoping for a great local restaurant to take its place. I'm so happy I found this place. I'm optimistic that Lake George Cafe will "fill the shoes" left by Mountain Shadows. Don't let the name fool you - this is more than a pizza joint. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I stopped by on my way home from hunting on a Sunday morning. I had a breakfast burrito that was as good as any I've had. And, it was cooked by a pirate! Yes a pirate. The chef is an Orlando Bloom impersonator who was in "Pirates of the Caribbean" character when we stopped by to eat. The waitress was happy, friendly and made us feel right at home. The coffee was fresh, hot, delicious and copiously forthcoming. I'd give Lake George Cafe a 5 star, but I need to come back at least another time to test for consistency. But I can highly recommend that you stop by while travelling highway 24 through the middle of Colorado.

After driving through much of South Park with no luck on the food front, my boyfriend and I stopped in here to eat. Evidently, many of south park's residents don't eat after 7 pm. We had a horrible time finding somewhere to eat that was both open past 7 pm and was good in almost every town in South Park on our way to Guffey, CO. This place was not only open until 9 pm, but was also delicious. The wait staff was super friendly, gave good suggestions on the menu, and checked back with us several times to make sure we were happy and satisfied with our meal. I got a burrito after the waitress told me that she had it, herself, that evening and that it was delicious. It really was! Especially considering this place is primarily a pizza joint. My boyfriend got a hamburger. They ground their own beef in house, which was obvious as the burger was delicious. I wouldn't have expected the sangria to be out of this world, and it wasn't much to write home about. But, it was cold and the glass was full, so it did the job after a long drive and a bit of stress in locating a place to eat. I would definitely stop here again, and would highly suggest it to anyone looking for something to eat up around Lake George. I tend to find that, sometimes, the best places really do reside in a double wide!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
