Ok, so this is one of the best finds in a long time. A friend invited me for lunch and I had never even heard of this quaint little cafe. To my surprise it was absolutely wonderful! I love farm fresh food, so naturally I was super excited to give this restaurant a try. When we walked in I fell in love right away. It's so bright and cheerful that I just knew it was a gem. It's much bigger on the inside than it looks which is awesome. There is seating outside too, so this was perfect for a beautiful day like today. We were welcomed with a smile and made our way to our table. Their menu is amazing. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It took me a while to decide what to eat because everything looked so yummy. I ended up getting their Pesto Turkey with farm fresh potatoes and steamed veggies. The pesto sauce was so perfect, I ate way to much! My friend got their Salmon salad with a blueberry dressing, wow! So tasty! On top of having great food they serve wine as well, so obviously we enjoyed a glass of wine with our lunch which made us very happy. It looked like their cake was yummy too, but we were stuffed. I look forward to returning soon. I want to bring my family for breakfast soon. They serve bottomless Mimosas with breakfast. Perfect 5 stars!

I went in for breakfast this morning to celebrate a friend's birthday. The service was great and pretty fast! Granted it was pretty empty. I had the fried rice bowl and it was delicious (they did forget to take out the mushrooms like I requested, but I just ate around them). They have tons of gluten free options and they even brought my friend a free slice cake in a Togo box since it was too early for cake at the moment. It was very sweet. I will be back again to try their other options.

Really good unique menu loved the gluten free options. Enjoyed the staff very friendly.

Eaten here a couple times now. The only awesome thing about this place is their GF pancakes. They are to die for! The rest is meh, not terrible or great, just mediocre. Service has been sub standard, and today's service was terrible. There are much better breakfast places to go to in the general area.

Great breakfast! The Huevos Ranchos were perfect! The Ranchos sauce was not too spicy and eggs cooked perfectly. My wife had the blueberry pancakes which were also great. Very health pours for the mimosas. I had the red ruby grapefruit version. The service was also great. Good for sitting outside on nice summer morning.

Been here few times. Always delicious. Our new favorite local spot. The creative menu is just the right length to get high quality dishes without having so many that none are very good. This place is better then the place next door and for very reasonable prices

Where to begin? I try to be fair in reviews and give all the good as well as bad points, so let me say that the coffee was hot, the latte was delicious, the bacon was top-notch, the potatoes were inoffensive, and the toast was perfectly fine. We were seated immediately, and I was pleased with the look of the menu. Now, for the tale of woe. Sigh. Preface: I like breakfast food, and I like eating at restaurants. I frequently breakfast out with my mom and, while we have some specific likes regarding eggs, we're not looking to be unhappy, and indeed we've been very happy at most breakfast places. We tip well, we try to be kind, and we genuinely want to enjoy the food and experience. This was a Monday morning. The order: Bacon and eggs, eggs poached hard, with toast; bacon and eggs, eggs over medium, with blueberry pancake. When this order came out, the poached eggs were quite runny; we requested the runniest one be re-made. The server took the egg away. In the course of continuing the breakfast, we discovered that the over medium eggs were totally undercooked -- I'm talking totally runny whites -- and the pancake was raw in the middle. The server returned in due course with the re-done egg [aside: it had been poached, then fried on the bottom. rubbery and bizarre], and I told her that I was sorry to be a trouble, but that I was really quite unhappy: egg undercooked, pancake raw, coffee cup empty these 10 minutes since nobody bothered to check back about the rest of the food, and unable to catch anyone's eye. She asked what I would like, suggested another pancake (I assented), and she removed the offending eggs and pancake. When the manager came over to refill coffee and water, we expressed to him the strangeness of all this, and he seemed surprised and a little put out by our comments. More ignoring and eye contact avoidance, etc etc; I got new eggs instead of the expected pancake (these were a little overdone, but fine). We waited for a bill, couldn't make eye contact, finally got up and went over to the counter; the manager said he was comping the meal -- correct response, but badly played. I'm not out whining for free meals; I just want things to be cooked! We bought a cookie so we could tip, lacking cash on hand, and again were treated to no eye contact and a brusque "have a nice day" as he walked away while we signed the cc slip. Left a 20% tip on the estimated amount, just on principle. Bottom line; unbelievable. You don't punish guests who have the temerity to let you know when the food is undercooked. It's not like these things never happen in a restaurant -- you apologize, make it right, and carry on as usual. I'm a waiter myself -- we've all been there. We weren't rude and we were prepared to be happy, but it really didn't happen. I will not be going back.

When I'm in the Boulder area I love coming to Morning Glory for fresh, healthy breakfast! They make their own soysage which is delicious and sagey, just like I like it. My favorite is the breakfast burrito, I love that spicy tomato sauce. My husband and I shared some blueberry pancakes which were surprisingly tasty given that they are gluten free. Nice, friendly staff and cute spot, wish it was in LA!

Love this cafe! Surprisingly deep menu for lunch and breakfast. I just had the black rice with rainbow veggies... So good and health. Great atmosphere too! Put it into your routine. It won't disappoint!

When I think of SLOW service, I immediately think of the Morning Glory. I have been here maybe 6 times over the past 2 years and have yet to have a truly good experience. I have never been in during a time when they are particularly busy, so there seems to be no excuse for the glacial pace of getting food and drinks here--I was last in with my grandparents for breakfast about a month ago and it took almost 45 minutes to get our food, even though we were one of only five tables at the time. I've also never been bowled over by the friendliness of the staff--while no one has ever been rude or curt with us, they've never gone out of their way to be nice either. We keep going back because of their many gluten free options for my grandma, but in my opinion there are far better places to get delicious gluten free dishes at a better price with better service.

I go all the time. Food is consistently good, service is good. I wish they would act like they know me, but it's still my favorite breakfast spot. Also great for dinner.

The food here is delicious! Best gluten free blueberry pancakes anywhere. Lovely to sit outside. Good place for a well behaved dog. Would give 5 stars but sometimes the food is not as hot as it should be so maybe it takes longer than it should to get to the table. Won't prevent me from coming back many times again!

I've been here three times and every time has been an exceptional meal and service. Today I had the filet mignon with eggs... Oh boy! Best steak I've ever had for breakfast. Don't go around to places like ihop or Denny's, you'll spend the same amount of money for a more delicious meal here, and you get to help a local business

Excellent!!! First time for dinner. One pork chop, one mango chicken bowl, one meatloaf. One kids meal-turkey dinner. Excellent taste. Super friendly and speedy service. We love their GF friendly menu and are capable of dairy free most the time. Have tried lots of breakfast and lunch items and have always been satisfied. Portions are hearty - many things can serve two people--especially their slices of homemade cakes!

Service couldn't be worse....owner doesn't apologize. Food is often good, but hit or miss. Service kills it and owner doesn't seem to step up. Their ever perfect pancakes are changed and much more bisquiky now, so even that great recipe seems gone. Try another place

Went here for Easter brunch and it was awful! The so called buffet they had was gross! Pancakes were ice cold and mushy and fruit was warm and was sitting out for who knows how long and tasted old. Service was awful we waited for so long and granted this was after the rush, there were really not a lot of people there when we were there. I ordered the bratwurst and I could barley finish it. I think it's way over priced for what you get. I had heard such good things about this places but I did not experience any of them. Will not be back. Much rather go to Walnut Cafe.

Beware of angry owner and food poisoning: I'm sad to have to write this review, but I think it's important. We've eaten at Morning Glory a few times a month for the last 4 years, we've loved eating here. I have Celiac, so I'm somewhat limited in places I can eat, and my family and I really enjoy supporting local businesses, so Morning Glory is a great choice for us. The food is often very good (a few times it was less than so, but we felt those were just "off days", which sometimes happens). Over the last year, it's been on the decline, you never know what you're going to get, and today was the last straw. My family and I arrived and were greeted by a woman who was very rude to us for no reason. It wasn't very busy just a few people inside and an almost full patio. We asked to be seated on the patio and before I could even finish speaking she quickly told us, "it's full," which I understand, it's a busy place. She quickly sat us and tossed the menus on the table and grabbed a high chair, then leaving the table without saying anything. Then two other groups of our size walked in requesting the patio and were seated immediately. We were seated near the hostess stand and these guests didn't have a reservation or anything, they were just seated as requested with friendly and welcoming service. I get that sometimes things like this happen, I am very understanding having worked in the restaurant industry for over 7 years. We ordered our food and it was pretty good but came with a smaller pancake than usual and burnt potatoes (which has been the case the last few times we've been here). Our server Nicholas was wonderful as always, he's seriously the best; always friendly, attentive and great with my kids, and one of the only consistent things about this place. As were paid our bill I asked him who the woman was who sat us and he explained that she's the owner. I could hardly believe it. We've seen her countless times over the years and she's always been cranky and unfriendly, so never in a million years would I have thought she was the owner. We finished up our meal and as we were leaving she said, "did you need to say something to me?" She said that she saw us talking with our server and asking who she was. I explained that I was asking who she was because I was unhappy with how she treated us. She was confrontational and again very rude. I told her, "I don't think we'll eat here again," and she just said, "fine!" and stormed off. No apologies, no kindness, no reason to want to support this local business. The owner may run a lovely restaurant, but she's horrible to her guests. As a frequent and loyal guest, I'm sad to say that we will not be returning, it's clear that my patronage is not appreciated or needed. I'd rather go somewhere where the owner cares about the people who eat there and at the very least is kind to their patrons, and where the service and food are more consistent. It's also important to note that we invited a large group of family and friends here for brunch over Christmas and we all came down with food poisoning. Those of us that made it to the Dr.s were told it was NoroVirus. When I called to say something, not to complain but to inform them so it didn't happen to anyone else, I was treated like I was lying and told that it couldn't have been their food, but it was the only meal we all shared and the only time we gathered that season... and the incubation period was the same across the board. We've given this place so many second, third and even fourth chances this year... but no more.

What a lovely surprise to find this gem! So many healthy, locally sourced, organic, and gluten free options. I opted for the Boulder omelette, and they certainly didn't scrimp goat's cheese - fantastic, would highly recommend! And they had some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. Service was good as well...we'll definitely be coming back here!

I reluctantly publicize anything about this terrific hole in the wall, but I'm afraid the restaurant gods would punish me for not being honest: Dinner was superb. Dined alfresco on the large portion of reasonably priced cranberry and spinach stuffed meatloaf and enjoyed the sweet smell of the blooming trees in the pocket park off the deck whilst live soft folk duet strummed away......excellent service may have been a function of the light dinner crowd for a Saturday evening.

Don't let the Lafayette location fool you: this is every bit a Boulder hippie enclave. This means organic, farm fresh, vegetarian-friendly, and careful cooking, in a quirky environment (if not a bit loud), all of which are true, and for the most part, pleasant. But, here, it also means lackadaisical service. It means paternalistically-constrained choices (no soda except agave nectar, no sweeteners but stevia, and don't even TRY to have gluten-ful pancakes). And most of all, for the Whole Foods Trustafarian crowd, it means high prices, $3-5 a plate more than the food deserves. All of this, coupled with the sticky table and flies in the dining room, made me feel like I was only seconds away from a drum circle breaking out at any moment. So, if you hate modern food sourcing, remember (even vaguely) Woodstock, if you're on your way home from a dispensary, or if your trust fund is feeling a bit flush this morning, well, Morning Glory is designed for you. Enjoy! But if you just want good food, you can probably do better, cheaper, cleaner, elsewhere. EDIT: ... Wow. My tip was doubled from 15% to 30% sometime between my signing it and logging the transaction and the credit card statement. Save your receipts. Yikes. At least they offered to return the amount in cash when I called back and called them on it.

Expensive...basic breakfast with coffee and tip.17 for 1 person. My friend had 2 eggs bacon pancakes and coffee tax and tip 17. Food was not hot. At least warm the plates. Our total bill was 34.we tipped 20 percent.

This updated review is in response to a very hasty and unprofessional reply from the owner: "Our kitchen is extremely tiny and our restaurant is very busy on weekends. . We limit the weekend menu in the effort to improve service as we typically feed over 200 people off a 2 burner stove, which is all we are allowed in that space. The bottomless mimosas are intended as a compliment to a meal, and are more or less a gift to our customers. We cover all the bases with our choices. We offer fresh organic slow cooked food. If you think my menu sux, Maybe you would be happier at Walnut Cafe." First of all, most restaurant kitchens are very busy on the weekends, and your kitchen limitations are not an excuse to produce subpar food 5 out of 7 days of the week. You have competition(Walnut Café) - realize that, don't complain about it to the customer or we will take your suggestion and eat at your competitor's instead. Second, offering a $5 bottomless mimosa is not unique for a breakfast restaurant and certainly does not constitute a gift. Also, there is nothing on either your weekday, weekend, or any other menu you have that is slow cooked. Slow cooked food is braised, roasted, stewed, etc for many hours. It is not a waffle, scramble, or pita veggie plate rushed to table on two overworked burners. I would be more than delighted to take my business to Walnut Café in the future. In fact, I would prefer to take my money to any of the other superior, organic, farm-fresh, comparatively-priced restaurants in the Boulder area.

Perhaps they finally got the right chef? Our brunch was pretty good, and our server was attentive. The Denver omelet was much better than reported in other reviews. I decided to try the fried rice bowl, because, well, I'd never seen it on a breakfast menu. I might have seasoned the rice differently and cooked it a little longer - it reminded me a little of an undercooked box mix. Then again, I married into a Japanese family, so I have some pretty specific notions about what fried rice should be. So anyway, I got something new and different, and the eggs were good.

First time here this morning. The last straw was the dead ants in the breakfast syrup. One of the employees was smoking and spitting constantly right in front of the place in plain view of our table by the window as we were waiting for our food. Coffee was super weak. Egg breakfast orders were cold. Pancakes for the kids were quite over done. Then my 5 year old noticed the ants on her food. The syrup was filled with them. If Yelp had negative stars these guys deserve them. Such a disappointment.

We had breakfast there this morning and I was really excited by the nice atmosphere and the interesting menu. Plus, there was a 30 minutes wait at Walnut Cafe and quite a few tables waiting for customers at Morning Glory Cafe, perfect! Or not.... The food was good (except for the potatoes, under cooked to my taste and quite bland), not great but good. Service was, well, I would say friendly but mostly non existent. We got half our order of food, the waitress promised to come back with the rest and more coffee, and we waited and waited....I was trying to figure out if they were understaffed or if the problem was in the kitchen. In any case, after a while I realized they were plenty of waitresses chatting with each other, we had just been forgotten. We basically never saw our waitress for any water refills or anything else and when we payed, that was also an interesting experience. First (we paid cash), we did not get the small change we should have (coins), and would not have said anything (even if I think they should have mentioned the fact that they ran out of coins and decided to just not give the small change back -I guess they consider we just have to adjust the tip accordingly), but we were also missing a $10 bill, that's a little much.... Too bad, I am not sure I'll give them another chance, next time I may just be more patient and wait at Walnut Cafe or go to 503 Cafe on South Boulder Road, not too far from there.

Have been here a few times. It's hit or miss. The food is okay. The setting is nice. But they are incredibly understaffed. There really isn't anyone that greets guests. It's just an older woman who's multitasking and thinks it's best to arrange dishes than seat newcomers. Today we were seated and forgotten. People seated after us were waited on, but not us. 10 minutes later I had to go and ask if anyone would be waiting on us. They seemed confused. Another 5 minutes passed and someone finally came by, but got our order wrong. I've experienced much better times here, but if it's this bad again, I doubt I'll return. They need to hire more staff and worry less about arrangements and more about their guests. There's also an abundance of flies EVERY time I'm there. Lastly, they should reconsider their name. They clearly don't know what morning glory means...

  • Mike S.

Decent food, but in my two visits, service has been quite poor. And I couldn't believe the flies...try keeping the door closed! Won't go again.

I come here quite often and have introduced it to many of my friends and family. I've found the service very good (especially Carrie) and love their food. I think the prices are OK ... not a bargain, but not unfair, either. A free refill on their chai would be nice (Huckleberry's does that). I usually get a salad or omelette, both delicious. Would like to have the option of a gluten-FULL pancake, though, as the taste of gluten-free is very different to me. Evening fare is good, with creative options, and I love their mashed potatoes. The lentil-walnut pâté is very good. Glad to see they're adding more seating in the front ... hopefully this means they're getting busier and business is good.

Rating: 3 stars *** This is a cute breakfast place in Lafayette right off Arapahoe and 95th. This place has some good GF waffles and pancakes. They also have a yummy fried egg sandwich. They use Udi's bread, which isn't my favorite, but its great that they have the GF option. The service is what is really lacking here. It takes a long while to order and get food, and even to get the check can take forever. Their knowledge on allergies is very poor as well. I was trying to order eggs dairy free but it was just too complicated for them. I really do appreciate their effort to make their menu GF friendly, and the food is good and I would go again. We stumbled upon this place last night while trying to find some place to eat in Lafayette. It wasn't very crowded when we walked in which seemed a bit concerning initially for a Friday night. I ordered their rice, veggie and cheese plate with a side salad. My husband ordered the beef bourguignon. I loved my dish, the forbidden rice they used was a nice touch, the shredded cheese they used gave it enough of a contrast in flavor without being overwhelming. Btw, I'm a vegetarian and there were several options for me on the menu. My husband's dish was good, but a bit too over spiced for his taste, The brown bread that came with both dishes was delicious. Unlike some other reviews, I had no complaints about the service, our server was a nice woman who was prompt and cheerful. I will definitely be going back. Though turning down the A/C a little would be great.

First of all, they have $5 bottomless mimosas. AWESOME! The food is very good and fresh, there are lots of veggie and GF options without being pretentious and overly-healthy feeling. The service was friendly and the patio was great for wating outside while the kiddos ran in the grass. The prices were just a bit higher than i felt was justifiable (brunch for 2 adults and 2 kids w/ bottomless mimosas was $5 before tip). Also, it was FREEZING in the restaurant. It is a pet peeve of mine when places crank the A/C to keep the kitchen staff comfy at the expense of the clients. Overall though, a great place.

  • Michael M.

The food here looks great, but doesn't taste like anything. I ordered a Denver omelette with potatoes and fruit, and I didn't even bother to finish it. The potatoes were dry and bland, the omelette was just some deflated eggs wrapped around veggies, not fluffy or seasoned. The fruit was great and the service was awesome, but in this price range I want something better than I can make at home, and this was just crummy food. I think this place is just one of many trendy spots trying to throw "farm" in their name and watch the money pile up. Too bad food can be less than the sum of its parts, and farm-fresh can still be bland and uninviting.

Breakfast & Brunch good are most certainly Morning Glory Cafe's strong suit! I love the blueberry pancakes and the omlettes are tasty too. The service can be a bit spotty. The young staff clearly has good intentions though. When they do happened to make a mistake with our order, they've acknowledged it right away and hustled to make it up to us. With me, that attitude maintains my respect & the stars that their good food, great ambiance, lovely porch, and accessibility have earned them.

I love this neighborhood gem. The ambiance is standard inside, but their patio outside is really lovely. That said, the absolute best thing about this place is the food. Lentil walnut pate - YUM! I've eaten there many times for both lunch and dinner and the service was good and the food was truly wonderful. I've never been disappointed.

Decent breakfast. Service was a bit pokey but very friendly. My dining partner had blueberry pancakes which he enjoyed. I had an omelette which was good. No toast with the breakfast however which I found disappointing. I'd give average marks but with all of the other breakfast destinations in Boulder county, they may have their work cut out for them.

Our food was good but the service was very sketchy. And one of the previous reviewers was right, get rid of the pool table! Servers apologized way too much and we also got the " don't know why everyone came in at once". Frankly, I don't think everyone came in at once, I think they do not have their systems down and servers resent busing the tables. Our server never came by to refresh our water or coffee and when we were leaving, she asked me if I needed to get a table!? They need to hire a restaurant consultant to teach them how to run an efficient business.

Went there on Sunday at around 1:00pm. One group in front of us waiting to be seated, we stood there for about 3 minutes as wait staff avoided greeting us or any eye contact. Finally a guy carry a tray of cups greets group in front of us and seats them... then vanishes.... We were never acknowledged. From an office a woman who appears to at least be a manager, perhaps an owner emerges, see's us, but also neglects to even mutter a hello. Finally, she says to original guy that we need to be seated to which he says to us "I'll be right with you", then proceeds to head back to his tray of cups... At least 5 minutes had elapsed at this point which is completely ridiculous, we went out of our way to wait to see how it played out and it was comical at best. Also observed frustrated customers waiting to pay their bill. Glad it worked out that without spending a dime here we were able to easily add this to our "never again" list.

I've given this place a number of chances, but I'm afraid the food and service here are just not up to snuff. I get the feeling that this restaurant is more about the owners and their egos than the customers. On our last and final visit, we went for breakfast and were seated on the patio. The patio is nice as it's adjacent to Forest Park and a really pleasant spot to eat a morning meal. We received pretty mediocre service. Our server was not too friendly, didn't come back to check on us and I never got a refill on my iced tea. But the worst of it was the food. I ordered steak and eggs, medium rare and my mother-in-law ordered the same, medium. Both came out raw in the middle. What? You can't cook steak? This is Cooking 101 folks. Two ingredients. Heat and meat. And on top of that the scrambled eggs were overcooked. If anyone cared about this place, it'd be a future episode on Kitchen Nightmares. But since the owners and the chef don't care, why should anyone else? I won't be back.

Good food, underpolished presentation...I hope they do well. The potatoes were great. Waitress was a smoker, Gross! Coffee was great, too. organic homestyle cooking, yum! I gave four star for effort, organics, food quality. Presentation and waitress smokers breathe could have made it a two star. So I'm an optimist and hope this place survives. Marketing help would be great. Been there a few times now, their service is definitely improving. The real maple syrup served every time is good kicker to the quality of the place.

We had the beef, Mac and cheese, stuffed-wrapped shrimp, carrot cake, chocolate cake, all gluten free. My wife cannot eat gluten and finding a good restaurant is tough. This place was great.

We went here last night for the first time. It wasn't very busy, so we were seated and served immediately. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. I ordered the beef tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection! The mashed potatoes are just amazing, with lots of herbs and spices. We were extremely happy with our meal (although I wonder since they're "farm fresh," where are they getting asparagus this time of year?). We will be coming back to try them out for happy hour sometime (pool table? Yes!).

My husband bought a Groupon to this place and so I do what I always do and go to Yelp to sift through the reviews. Needless to say, I was scared to come here. The reviews are TERRIBLE. From the looks of them, the service was terrible and the food just as terrible. I even saw a couple less than welcoming responses from the owner. So of course, I went in to the restaurant a little apprehensive. From the outside it looks fine, in a little shopping area. Inside, fine as well. Cute little diner-esque place with very laid back vibe. The host was a teenage boy so I was thinking, "Great, this is where it begins, some unamused teen not wanting to be here." To my surprise, he was very friendly and upbeat. So far, so good. We were seated next to the window and I noticed a nice seating area outside. Our waiter was also very friendly, attentive and had a sense of humor, another sigh of relief. I ordered a chai tea, the green eggs and ham with a blueberry pancake. The hubs got coffee, denver omelet and blueberry pancake. All the food was fantastic! The breakfast potatoes were awesome, very seasoned and huge. The hubs' denver omelet had a ton of avocado which is no complaint because he is an avocado fiend. The blueberry pancakes were awesome as well. My green eggs (the green coming from the pesto it is served with) were super tasty, they even had bits of bacon in them. I love that this place is all organic and farm fresh type of food. There were no issues with the Groupon we used unlike other people had but it seems like a lot of people don't fully read the fine print. If anything, he actually gave us more money off than what it was bought for but we put the extra money back in the tip. All in all, I was very pleasantly surprised at how not at all terrible this place was. I will definitely go back.

The service has improved and the food as always is awesome. Bottomless mimosas on Sundays rock too! Wine down Wednesdays are cool.

Try the fried rice egg bowl, quite original and delicious! Great farm fresh food! The service is a bit unrefined, but its still worth the trip. It's one of our go-to breakfast places in the area.

Waited half an hour for an ice-cold, overpriced ($12) omelet in a near-empty restaurant. Was told that the place was only a month old and that the kitchen was very small, and they hadn't yet worked the bugs out to feed a lot of people. Hope they figure it out and make their pricing more competitive. PS - They were gracious enough to comp the meal and were very apologetic.

Delicious lunch and breakfast today in a quiet atmosphere at righteous prices. Gluten free pancakes that were tasty and cooked just like mom used to make. Fresh ingredients and decadent desserts. What could be finer. Afterwards, stroll along the path in back of the cafe for a perfect end to a perfect brunch.

STAY AWAY! These guys DO NOT want new business !! We bought a Living Social coupon last night and looked forward to breakfast on Sunday. We arrived at 1:30 - 30 minutes prior to their published closing time. The waitress was about to seat us, but the grumpy old codger owner barked that "we're almost out of food," and told us we'd have to leave. We told him we weren't picky and would work with with what they had and he mumbled 'Sorry," And walked off. What restaurant seeking new biz doesn't honor their stated biz hours, or want to be inconvenienced by new customers?!? It was a long drive for nothing. Living Social was quick to refund my $ - so I am comfortable with their quick response and customer service. The restaurant should reimburse me for my wasted time and gas, LOL!

We were excited to try this restaurant after buying a Groupon. We were seated immediately, but waited almost 10 minutes before anyone greeted the table. It then took almost 45 minutes to receive our order (we had two small children with us and the extended wait was very unpleasant for most of the restaurant, I'm sure, since my children were practically crying from hunger by the time the food finally arrived). The waitress never offered to get a manager or attempt to make our experience more pleasant, even after one of the items we (finally) received was wrong. As a chef and someone who has spent many years working in restaurants, I was very disappointed with the level of customer service and the flavor of the food, neither of which matched my expectation of a farm fresh organic cafe. In the future, I will avoid this place like the plague and suggest you do, too. Unfortunate.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a while. Our server was ok, and fairly friendly, so that was the "highlight". The food was mediocre, and mostly bland. I don't think they have a good handle on the vegan stuff. The overall environment would have been ok, accept that what appeared to be the owners/managers, along with friends, were chilling out smoking nearby (but outside) the whole time. At a bar, sure no problem, but at a supposedly health-conscious eatery?? Worst of all, we ordered some beers that were clearly labelled $4 on the menu. We get the check, and apparently they were $6. We made note of the error, and they got totally bitchy on us, which was really uncomfortable. I can understand charging whatever you need to turn a profit, but taking out your mistake on the customer? Won't go back again.

Would have been 4-5 stars for the food and atmosphere, if it had not been for shooing 5 or 6 flies away the entire time.

Oy. I had such high hopes. The guys really wanted to go to the latest Walnut incarnation, across 95th Street, but it was a zoo, and they assented to visit the Morning Glory (my choice...gulp). First, the service was terrific. No problems at all. But, the food. Yikes. 1) Why do the eggs smell, and taste like a barnyard? I've eaten tons of free-range eggs, farm-fresh eggs, non-supermarket eggs, it's what we do in Boulder. Fresh-from-the-farm eggs have always struck me as richer, with brighter flavors, and firmer flesh. These were just inexplicably nasty, and stinky. Weird. 2) You do have bacon, thick-cut, then why is the only sausage available a mediocre, loaf-based "soysage." I eat a lot of vegetarian sausage (and meat-based, as well), and this was the worst tasting one I've ever encountered. Many other better options, house-made, and commercial, and you chose this one? Really? Yuck. Sorry. 3) Your two bread choices are a middle-of-the-road whole wheat, or a gluten-free only? I've eaten a couple of gluten-free that were stellar, but most are terrible, IMO, so I conservatively went with the WW. Really forgettable, cold, and dry. 4) How did you convert "over-easy" for 2 eggs on the same plate, into one egg way undercooked with snotty whites, and the other one (same plate) over hard? How did you pull this off? 5) Why would two diners at the same table, both requesting a side of one pancake, receive, individually, such disparate results? One cake was literally 1/2 the size of the other, and far more brown (overcooked) than the other. Take your choice: mini, burnt, or large and unevenly cooked. 6) Really, really expensive. Good gravy, I'm not sure there is a more expensive breakfast in Boulder County. Factor in the quality and the bucks/yumminess ratio is in the stratosphere. Way out of line, even if the food was great. I really applaud the ideas that went into the menu, and it looked really good on paper. But the execution is really unacceptable. And it has to be embarrassing to the owners, who have likely poured their hearts and souls, as well as their money and most of their waking hours, into an entrepreneurial dream. This could be GREAT! But it's really awful (and pricey), and we just can't imagine going back unless we hear that things have turned around. Best of luck.

Great find! Glad they are in the neighborhood. I have only been once for lunch, had the turkey pesto sandwich. Tasty! With smashed potatoes and veg medley! The sandwich was on a multi grain bread, which another poster said was house made? Either way, it was great! Good, fair prices. $10 and change for a sandwich and cappuccino. Food much better quality than neighboring restaurants. Look forward to returning for breakfast.

Checked back in the other day and had a cornucopia salad with beets, green beans, tomatoes, chard, and squash. Oh wow. It was so fresh and so yum. Sat out on the patio in the early evening and it was quite wonderful. Service was great too.

What's with all the bad reviews? We just went there for lunch and the food was fabulous. I had a steak salad, my friend had a wrap and my daughter had a grilled cheese. Fresh ingredients, excellent wait staff, pleasant environment and wonderful food. We will be back! Maybe breakfast isn't so great and that's why the other reviews are so negative???? I will try breakfast and update my review in the coming weeks.

I am a food brat and very picky with what and where I eat. Being a good chef myself I enjoyed my experience. Color's of decor was bright and upbeat. I agree about the pool table needs to go.Everything tasted VERY fresh, like picked rom backyard to table fresh. Bread was homemade I can tell, basil infused was a great touch on simple toast. Homemade jam was spot on. Menu is simple. They do have a kids menu now. My wife never finishes her food, I thought she was going to lick the plate. Back patio is Very pretty, nice big aspen trees with a lush field. We drove from Thornton and will make the drive again for brunch. Looking forward to trying dinner. Menu changes with season. To the person complaint about the small menu, Go to Denny's next time. Also breakfast was around 8 dollars a plate which is very good for organic. orange juice was a little expensive. Good place.

This place was super yummy. My fiance and I are on Whole30 and we enjoyed some delicious pork confit with both fruit and salad. My salad had carrots and beets on it, all grated fresh. The fruit wasn't just melon, it had berries in it too! They didn't charge us extra to swap out fruit for the mashed potatoes, which a lot of places do. Our meals were only $10. YUM. The place was super cute as well- as soon as we are done with Whole30 we are going back for their Gluten Free desserts :)

Morning Glory in Lafayette, has a lot of possibilities, but needs a lot of work. First the good. Staff is amazingly friendly and courteous. Menu isn't all that exciting. Had the Denver Omelette. Good but runny on the inside. Good coffee. They make their own bread and butter. Cons... As you walk in the door you see a pool table. Yep. Not kidding a pool table. Walls are sparsely decorated. Nice espresso bar. But didn't see a barista working the machine. Breakfast for two - $40 incl tip. Have a nice outside patio. Serve dinner thu-sat. They need to get rid f the pool table. That alone can keep the abundant customers within walking distance away. Located on SW corner of Arapahoe and 95th.

First time in this place. My wife had the blueberry pancakes which were excellent. I had the eggs with German sausage. The German sausage would have been good in a roll with mustard and sauerkraut but did not belong on a breakfast plate. The potatoes served with the eggs were also not very good. Not sure I'd go back when the Walnut Cafe is right around the corner.

I really really like this place. The dishes are creative (even though I always get the same Boulder Omelet, my girlfriend branches out!) and tasty. My one and only complaint about the place is their POTATOES! They are just like boiled potatoes, cut into giant chunks, with a little sprinkle of seasoning.....so boring. Truthfully, it's the only reason this place isn't my all time favorite breakfast place.

Have given this pace several chances of the past year since it was rebranded from whatever it was before I am officially throwing in the towel. Seems most other Yelpers are at the same point of frustration. Bottom line here is the food/menu are descent breakfast fare. Have had lunch as well and it was also nice. Several of my SF area guests also like the food. However, the deal breaker here is the total head scratching cluster of business these guys run. Firstly, they religiously employ the whole bass ackward philosophy of "yeah we have 2x the seating we need but were not going to seat anyone because the kitchen is backed up". So mid mornings you have four or five parties hovering around the entrance of a half full restaurant taunted by empty booths. Personally, the only thing I find more irritating than this is discovering pubes in my food (not that that happened here but just saying). The worst part is they have room for probably 30% more seating in this place which would surely justify expanding the kitchen. Anyway, I shouldn't have to think this hard about their business model but this is function of how long i have stood around waiting to be seated. Even seating guests and tossing some coffee and coming back in 20 min is in my mind much better than standing around staring at open booths. I have seen others complain about that here with various rebuttals from the ownership. HINT: YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE SIR AND PROVING OUR POINT. No one wants to hear your myriad excuses - FIX IT OR DIE. Second gripe is service itself is either stellar or abysmal. They had an older server about six months back and she was great and did what she could to make up for some of the aforementioned anomalies. The younger eye candy servers are really lost. They spend most of their time apologizing to queuing guests and offering various reparations to tables that have gotten things late, mixed, or what have you. They are the kind of servers when you ask for water half way through a meal (because they never brought any to begin with) they look at you with a blank stare like "i brought you a coffee 20 minutes ago, why would you possibly want water". So in short, like I said its confusing mix of good and bad that after a year or so I am writing off. Not worth the frustration. Half the time we have gone lately we wait "15 minutes" which is actually +30 and we end up in the Brewmarket drive thru with a coffee and breggo and call it a breakfast. Would love to see this place thrive under new ownership but clearly they dont get it and they are not interested in getting it based on the feedback here. So I am done with this place just on principle. Shame.

Today I had bacon and eggs, with a capuccino. Nice and simple. The capuccino was good, the eggs were fresh and nicely scrambled, and the bacon was good and properly carcinogenic (as it should be). I had fresh fruit instead of potatoes, which was a good choice. The toast was cut from bread that tasted very homemade. Another good experience!

Delicious. Absolutely delicious. There were 4 of us and we were all pleased. I had the fluffy Denver omelet with smashed avocado in the middle- YUM! The seasoned potatoes were tasty. WW toast and OJ. They had bottomless mimosas, but we passed! The patio is lovely and the service as well. I am trying to figure out where the low raters ate! This is a new favorite for me!

I am not sure if some of the other posters ate at the same place! My daughter, who is gluten intolerant, her fiance and future father in law visited from San Francisco. We thought Morning Glory would be a good choice for breakfast as they have many gluten free options. We took the whole family, ten of us, for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were accommodated immediately. I can only say that my very discriminating family loved every entree that was ordered. She commented on how she wished she could take the restaurant back with her! My husband and I have been back for dinner. I have enjoyed some of Boulder's most popular, highly rated restaurants and I must say that the service and quality of food was every bit as good here and for half the price. I had crab ricotta stuffed ravioli which was stuffed with fresh crab and delicious. My husband had blue cheese encrusted steak which he thought was equally as good. Overheard a couple talking about their Halibut with saffron cream sauce in glowing terms. The waitress was very attentive without being annoying. The owner/chef came over and asked how everything was. It was a very enjoyable night out and for a very reasonable price. What else could you ask for? We will going back often. Can't wait to try bottomless House Wines on Thursdays!!!

I have been for breakfast and lunch - 5 stars for each. The lunch has a nice variety. A good, healthy option without driving to Boulder. They offer a wide variety of gluten free, vegetarian, and/or vegan foods as well as great things for carnivores. For lunch, the salads are fresh and have lots of delicious toppings and homemade dressing. For breakfast, the Green Eggs and Ham are fabulous with fresh pesto and great breakfast potatoes. Definitely a must do, again!

Our breakfast took forever!! The waitress kept apologizing saying how odd it was that everyone came it all at one time but there were only 2 other tables. She also asked if my 2 year old son was going to order anything but then informed us there was not a childrens menu?? Why Ask then? The entree's are all around $10-$12,do you really think I am going to order my toddler something at that price? When we finally did get our food, almost 45 minutes later, the portions were very small. One of us got pancakes, 2 small cakes and not all that tasty and the other one of us ordered the vegetarian "sauage and eggs". The sausage tasted more like sage stuffing and made all of our stomachs upset. They have a very small menu, only one waitress, and a very slow kitchen staff and then the food isn't even worth it. A complete waste of time and money. Don't Bother with this place, if your in the area try the Super Mini Walnut Cafe instead.

Elegant dinner and evening! Sat on the patio and enjoyed scallops cooked to perfection. We also had meatloaf which was good but with all the other dishes I saw leave the kitchen, I'd skip the meatloaf next time in favor of the other colorful and incredibly fresh food that tempted us. So pleased to have a GOOD glass of house wine for only $4 and many other options for up to $7. If you have a taste for coffee after dinner, the decaf was wonderful! We were too full for dessert. Service was attentive and quick even with a full house. I only give it 4 stars because unless you sit on the patio then the ambience takes a minor hit.
