    This restaurant already deserves three stars by default because of the location. Though the area has grown in the last few years, I still consider anything between Longmont and Ft Collins middle of nowhere. The place is apparently perpetually crowded, so one won't get in without reservations. The food is good. This is a large chain, but everything's got flavor and thought behind the recipes. The entrees are around $20, but you get a lot of food. I'd skip appetizers especially because they bring you this really wonderful warm delicious bread. I had a "cobb" salad, and it was a great value for $10 with lots of tasty chicken, large chunks of avocado and mango. Everyone else at the table had fish and all were very pleased, though agreed that the prep was a bit on the greasy side. Not a huge deal, but we never did get our salads/soups. The manager apologized profusely and told us he'd take them off the bill. We had hard time feeling grateful for not being billed for the food we never received. Not that we had any room for dessert, but I expected them to at least offer to buy us some dessert or drinks. I did not think that oversight was handled particularly well. So minus two stars for the greasier-than-needed food and not great management. Otherwise, a very decent place, especially for the location.

    Eh, ok, expensive. I'm a fish snob, as I use to work on fishing boats and am use to fresh fish. Ate at a Bonefish once in Florida and it was excellent, which is why I tried this place. I usually avoid chains, will avoid this one in the future. Wasn't worth the price and the selection of fish wasn't much for a place with fish in its name. Also seemed loud. Waiter was funny, although I don't think he meant to be, but he was nice and the favorite part of the visit. We didn't take the leftovers home.

    We moved from Loveland to TX in May and have been craving Bonefish. We were very disappointed in our server. Our party of 6 was sat in a booth in the bar area. Not our first choice but we were ok with it. Our server didn't explain any of the specials. When I asked about them, she said they were on the little menu that was hidden under our larger menus and walked away. She forgot to bring our 2 Bang Bang shrimp appetizers and overall very unattentive! We'll be back because we know this is not typical Bonefish service but were disappointed this evening.

    Meets my average expectations every time. Decent. Dark place. Bang bang shrimp is good, I usually order the grilled scallops and shrimp. My creme brulee was runny this last time. Not that great. Bill always over $100.

    Dark and disappointing. We were near Centerra so we decided to eat here for change of pace. We usually go into Fort Collins and eat at Fish when we want seafood. We arrived early at 5 on a snowy Sat eve so we were seated immediately. Our service was good from a friendly young woman. The restaurant was very dark and devoid of any real personality. I had the happy hour merlot, which was fine. The bread and dipping sauce was quite good. I had the corn and crab chowder, which was a disappointing thick lumpy goo that tasted like flour. It was almost inedible. My husbands's Cesar salad was plain and ordinary. Our white plates arrived with white fish, white mashed potatoes and white spaghetti squash. It was one of the most unappealing compositions I have ever seen, esp for a restaurant that is supposedly higher end. The potatoes were cold. The orange roughy was very good, however, with a crunchy coating and mild moist fish inside. The talapia imperial was plain and fine. There was truly nothing extraordinary about our food--it was all very flat, colorless and ordinary. There was certainly nothing to justify the prices. Next time we want seafood, we'll drive to Fish for something extraordinary for the same price.

    This ain't Red Lobster! I loved my meal. I don't say that very often. However in this case, Bonefish earned my amorous description. I have eaten at far more expensive restaurants that were not nearly as enjoyable! I had the corn chowder, Arctic char entree with potato au'gratin and snap peas. I then had the strawberry shortcake dessert. Every item was excellently prepared and left me fully satisfied. I wouldn't call Bonefish an inexpensive restaurant, however I feel it offers excellent value when taking the exceptional quality into account. My server was fantastic as well. I stuck to his recommendations and I'm glad I did. He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. So, would I eat here again? In a heartbeat! Bonefish will become a regular stop anytime I am in, near or around the Loveland area.

    We had reservations and were seated as soon as we arrived. Apps arrived quickly, water was refilled when glasses were half full. The main dishes arrived hot and delicious! This place isn't just another sucky chain. Amazing service, and delicious food!!!

    We had a reservation and when we arrived were seated right away with our favorite server. I started with a Dirty Martini which was perfect. Of course we ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and they were delicious as always. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with the Au Gratin potatoes. It was heavenly. All of this with stellar service. I have been to other locations and have found this one to be my all time favorite.

    This was my third time at Bonefish. They tend to have some of the best service I've encountered in today's world of horrible service. The servers are pleasant and know what they are doing. They don't interrupt your table conversation to 'auction off' the dishes. Their underwear is not hanging out or showing through, because they wear those smart looking chef style outfits. While the bang bang shrimp was supremely excellent as usual, and the ahi tuna dish got raves, we did have some disappointments. The Hollandaise sauce for the eggs was bleh. The fish and chips had a very hearty portion, but was very greasy. The server said to me, " well, it IS fried." Heh heh. That's not how you talk to a customer. Duh, I know it's fried. If a restaurant I go to has fried fish, I order it, because I love good fried fish. It's all in the batter/breading, as to how much oil is retained. This batter was a doozy for retaining oil. I had to cut most of it away just to eat the fish. I will go back to Bonefish Grill and try something new, because I have faith, and hey, bang bang shrimp.

    Was forced to eat at a chain, which kinda bummed me out, but our Server made us forget about all that. The food was above average, but the service was All-Star caliber. Galen was a Pro's Pro and guided us thru the best drinks and food that this place had to offer. If you are in the area, I highly recommend an evening under this guy's tutelage. Enjoy!

    Great place for seafood in Northern Colorado. Lively and light atmosphere, professional waitstaff who are attentive and accurate. Bang-Bang shrimp a must for any meal here. Nothing but delicious when it comes to their fresh fish they prepare in so many wonderful ways. Definitely a must for dining in NoCo!

    I'll be honest. I hadn't heard great things about Bonefish in the past and have been hesitant to try it. My better half suggested we try it anyway. Awesome decision. We were there late on a Tuesday night so we obviously didn't have to wait. We sat on the bar side and were waited on by Gale (or maybe Galen). HE WAS FABULOUS. So friendly, very attentive, suggested a GREAT cocktail. Yes. He was awesome. I even made sure to let the manager know what a great asset Gale is to their restaurant. The drink that he suggested, which I thoroughly enjoyed, was a Peach Bellini Martini. Does that not sound amazing?! It was. Get it. You'll love it. When it came time to order an appetizer, we asked our waiter's opinion - the Bang Bang Shrimp or Ceviche? He said that the Bang Bang Shrimp was one of the most popular dishes but that he would hands down, recommend the Ceviche. It was DELICIOUS. They make their chips in-house and we were given plenty of them. So tasty. Entrees: I got the rainbow trout with lemon butter and chimichurri sauces (on the side). For sides I opted for the whipped potatoes and the succatash. Everything was great. It was a BIG portion size (I only ate half). It was seasoned perfectly, not dry or overcooked and the options of the two sauces was nice. The boyfriend got the swordfish with the mango salsa with rice and caprese for sides. He really enjoyed his meal and the portion was also perfect. We were very pleased with our experience and attribute that mostly to Galen. We'll be returning for sure, with no hesitation!

    My husband and I had a night out and Ended up at the Bonefish Grill. The menu looked great and there was a $10 holiday coupon on their website, a winning combination. We have just recently moved to Loveland from NH and haven't changed our drivers licenses yet, so when I ordered a martini, our server examined my ID and ended up bringing it back to check it since he had never seen a NH ID before. This would have been fine (flattering actually since I'm 28 years old and hardly even get ID'd anymore) save for the fact that we saw him show multiple employees while laughing for about 5 minutes, then came over and preceded to quiz me on my birthdate. Luckily, I passed or we would have left and gone somewhere else. As for the food, I had the bang bang shrimp tacos with a side of French fries, and they were delicious. I had the white cosmopolitan, which I must say was worth all the ID trouble. Yum. My husband had the American Kobe Beef burger which he wasn't too partial to. He paid an extra $4 for the side of white truffle Mac and cheese which was good, but he said he would have rather had the fries. All in all, we had a decent experience and we would go back again to try a different dish, although maybe we'll wait until we get our Colorado ID's.

    Stopped in for Dinner on a Sunday Night, place wasn't too crowded, waiter was nice and always prompt. Good atmosphere. I ordered the Rainbow Trout with Lime on top and the Couscous. Overall great fish! Stayed on the grill for just the right amount of time. Beer and wine list are pretty good, though I might add some more Colorado local brew selections given a choice. My only real critique is the price, seemed a bit up there compared to their peers (Red Lobster, etc.), but not obnoxiously so. Overall a good visit and they can look forward to having me again.

    We should have stayed at the bar...that was the best service...our bar tender was terrific. However, when we moved to the dining room, it all went downhill. Mediocre food with less than committed service. Note to self: avoid chain restaurants.

    Food was a 3.5, but I'm giving this place a 5 because of the service. Our server Galen was a top notch professional, and he went above and beyond to provide us a delightful experience. Not a big fan of chains, but if you find yourself in Loveland, CO, make sure you hit this place!

    Stopped-in after work on a random weeknight to meet up with a friend who lives nearby, and was surprised to see that the place was hopping. Well, I suppose that's Loveland for you ... the denizens do love their chain restaurants, and happy hour. My friend & I got our signals crossed, so I spent ~15 minutes sitting by myself in the dining area -- the staff was still friendly and gracious. I ordered edamame to munch on while I waited. Rather than plain old salt their seasoning had a citrus note ... tasty though not all that traditional. I felt a bit angst-ridden as I perused the menu ... for the price point, the meals had better be good, but I couldn't get out of my head that it was a chain restaurant in the middle of a land-locked state. I ultimately decided to try the lobster roll special, rationalizing that if it is a special, there must be something, well, special about it. It was all right. Next time? Well, I might insist that my friend drive further than 5 minutes away, but if I don't prevail will probably stick to drinks and appies ...

    Bonefish is always good. I had the North Icelandic Cod special - very good. Also split some crab cakes with the wife before-hand. This is our fourth visit to Bonefish since they opened. It's a)very busy, make reservations and/or be prepared to wait, b) very noisy - always crowded, and c) kind of dark on the inside.

    Usually the food is great and the setting is always nice, quiet and dimmed light. The service typically isn't good but our service from Amanda tonight was worse than usual. We didn't order for a good 25 minutes, it took about 15 to get a kids menu and when we received our food it was average. The bang bang shrimp was amazing as always but we were not offered bread until our food was on the table, the mojito was sweet, my potatoes au gratin were mostly hard and my steak was extremely dry and borderline cold. Really not sure if my family will be back, we left still hungry and dissatisfied after paying $70 for two adults and a child.

    We went again for lunch on Wednesday since we were told on Wednesday the Bang Bang Shrimp was half price. After being seated we were told this deal was only at dinner but the waitress asked the manager and she said it was fine so we had two Bang Bang shrimp as appetizers. I also ordered a ceviche was fresh and delicious. I asked if they had any bread and the waitress said only at dinner but if we'd like she would get us some but it would take a bit of time since it was baked in the oven so I said yes. She then came eventually with a nice hot little loaf of bread with a dipping sauce, for free. The manager came around and said anytime we came on Wed. if we just asked we could get the Bang Bang Shrimp deal. We have not been back since but hope to on a Wed. again. I thought the waitress went above and beyond the call of duty. The place is always clean, the restrooms are very nice and the food is just excellent!

    To clarify, this review is for the Bonefish Grill in Loveland, Co - Thanksgiving weekend 2012 I will start with the positives, my bartender was friendly, knowledgable and pleasant overall, in fact she did hit most of, if not all the steps of service helping me navigate my way through the specials, the wine list and the main menu - she also made a good appetizer recommendation. I ordered the crab cakes and the Mahi Mahi special as my entree. The food was good, fresh served promptly and seemed to be a good value for portion size, quality, etc. The Maryland Crab Cake appetizer was good, but was served to me on a very hot plate, which I was warned about - I don't believe restaurants should serve plates that are hot enough to burn the patron, a warmed plate would be sufficient (unless of course its a sizzling fajita platter). I ordered two glasses of chardonnay and both were served at a very chilled (much too cold) temperature to enjoy with my grilled white fish and shell fish as intended. The bartender opened a bottle in front of me and popped the cork which is not the proper way for a bartender to open wine or champagne. When I initially arrived, I saw name placards across the entire bar which appeared to be reserved seating when I asked the bartender what the names were for, she replied "those are the names of the bartenders working tonight". I have never seen this in all my years, bartenders are suppose to build and establish rapports with their guests and the best way to do this is to formally introduce themselves and their coworkers. At one point during my entree, I witnessed my bartender picking something out of her teeth directly in front of me. Another bartender on duty walked by me 2 or 3 times and didn't offer me a beverage when mine was empty and didn't offer to clear my plate when I was done eating - my bartender's back was to me as she was restocking and counting her drawer. When my plates were cleared, my bread plate was removed and then I was asked if I was done with the bread. The bartender asked how my meal was and offered dessert, but no after dinner drink. I passed on the dessert, but had intended on ordering a dessert martini. The bartender dropped the check while I was still enjoying my second glass of wine, relaxing and watching a football game. Another male bartender with black hair used an unappetizing expletive while servicing a group of three directly next to me. In addition to the improper wine opening/presentation technique, the bartender also did not use proper martini presentation techniques which requires the bartender to shake and strain the martini over the bar in front of the guest whenever possible (bar-tending 101 stuff) When I settled my tab, the bartender presented the check to me with rubber sanitation gloves on both hands. I ordered a $12 appetizer, a $22 entree, two glasses of wine and a dessert martini and hoped to have a more memorable experience than this. I will have to think twice before spending my hard earned money at this establishment again.

    Short: Make a reservation, food is B+, quite consistent, service B+ Long: Bonefish is close, and a great place to go with friends, provided you know in enough time to make a reservation ( which is quite easy via their website). The fist time I went, I left as it was over an hour wait. Even though I make reservations now, you still usually have to wait 10-15 min after your time. The place is always buzzing, if that's not your style I have yet to be there on a "quiet" night. The servers are knowledgeable, decent selection of beer and drinks. The food is good, always consistent and they offer some great specials but you cant go wrong with the standbys.

    The hubs and I went here on our way to a Cirque de Soleil show in Loveland. Our server was nice enough at first, but then he went into overly complicated explanations of the menu, and just kept getting more and more snooty. Every time he brought us something, the time that it took him to return grew. So, by the time he finally brought us the check, we had been waiting a long time. The food was pretty good. We really enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. I ordered the chicken special, which was good, but he talked this dish up so much, that I was quite surprised at how small the portions I received were. It looked more like a cornish hen than a chicken on my plate. My husband ordered the steak, which was really overcooked. The mashed potatoes that came with were really good, but the veggies were soggy and overcooked. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with our experience here, especially considering the amount of money that we dished out.

    This restaurant is phenomenal. They go to great lengths to ensure a truly awesome experience. I have never had food there I didn't like. I have also never been there and not seen it packed and with a wait. There is a reason for that! HIGHLY recommended.

    Never have I ever been able to order a steak the way I like it and it actually comes that way. I tell my servers, 'As raw as I can get it. Just sear it.' However, I think the chefs are scared to actually give it to me that way. That being said, I came to Bonefish Grill tonight for my birthday. I decided on the sirloin and crab cake. I ordered my steak for dinner tonight, exactly the way I always do, and when it came, I cut into it, and low and behold, it was raw and room temp in the middle. It. Was. Perfect. The best steak I've ever been served. Kelly was our server and she was very kind and personable. Witty and charming while still being professional. She was amazing. The entire staff was very courteous and genuinely kind. It was one of the best nights out I've had at a restaurant.

    Ate here last night 4/2/14 for dinner for the very first time. The place was very busy for a week night. We did an online reservation and were seated pretty quickly after arriving. Our server was very efficient and helpful. The complimentary bread with garlic was superb. I ordered the Bang Bang shrimp tacos and the wife had the Baja fish tacos. Food was out of this world tasty. We both had drinks and they were top notch also. For the Loveland area this place is probably the best we have eaten at in a really long time. Great job to the staff at Bonefish for our awesome experience.

    Food was perfectly cooked and seasoned, which was refreshing. Very comfortable, classy atmosphere and the service was great. (Ask for Jon, he was a friendly young man.) My wife is gluten free and the special menu had plenty of great options of which the scallop and shrimp were very good. The garbanzo bean side was great and the Flour-less chocolate macadamia nut brownie was way too good. Can't wait to go back.

    I have recently been back to Bonefish to try some of their more expensive dishes and all I can say is WOW! The Imperial Long fin is a great dish at $17 and is most definitely one of the best seafood dishes I have had in this area. It was well worth the price and I would absolutely order again. This is always on the menu! The latest thing I had was Arctic Char. It was a seasonal item so it will probably not be available for long. This is a cross between Trout and Salmon. It came topped with blue cheese, bacon and spinach and it was truly a masterpiece! I think this was around $18 After trying some of the more expensive dishes I can easily say that Bonefish deserves that extra star from my last review! Oh and get the Bang Bang Shrimp for your appetizer... You won't be sorry!

    Absolutely, horrible. Let me just say this, my waitress was excellent but the food was well below par. I could've done better at Burger King. I don't know how all of the reviewers are giving 3+ reviews. The food was horrendous. I am from out of town and was given two recommendations to go to this place to eat while I was in town visiting. I might as well have put seafood excrement and leather on my plate. Never ever again. I wish I could give it negative stars. I want my money and my time back.

    We went here on a Sat night around 7 pm. Wait was only 30-40 min. We were seated at an undesirable booth right by the entrance which blasted cold air every time the door opened. We asked to be moved and the hostess kindly sat us at another table without any further wait which was unexpected. The food was amazing - rainbow trout with mango salsa, ahi tuna. It was all incredible! It was the best meal and experience we had in a long time! They even put little glow sticks in the kids' drinks!

    I love, love Bonefish. I was pumped there when I got to town for work and found that there was a Bonefish. I've been to this location twice now and both times have been great. I love the ahi tuna, the dumplings, the bang bang shrimp, the house salad, the kobe burger, their special of lobster stuffed shrimp, the edamame, the sirloin, and especially the martinis. My fav martini is the raspberry, but the first time I ordered it I found that Bonefish changed the recipe (and it's horrible now FYI), so the next time, they were able to make it the old way for me - and since they weren't going to use that recipe anymore and were out of the ingredients, they gave me the recipe. Very nice but I REALLY hope Bonefish reconsiders and brings the original recipe back! Also, the martini that donates to Ocean Trust has a jalepeno in it (which never used to be in there at other locations and the flavor is off now). The service is also great here, they brought one app like 5 min after the others and the server comped us for taking so long! We hadn't even noticed it was late. I will definitely be bringing my coworkers here every time we're in the area!

    My sister and I decided to try a new seafood place. Since we're landlocked, finding good seafood is a challenge. The establishment is clean and has a warm/welcoming ambiance. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We first ordered two appetizers, the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Bacon Wrapped Atlantic Sea Scallops. The Bang Bang Shrimp tasted great for the first couple bites. After that, they just tasted too heavy/saucy. The Bacon Wrapped Atlantic Sea Scallops were amazing. They were tender with the right touch of sweetness. My sister wasn't impressed with the Corn Chowder with Lump Crab. Our two entrees, the Imperial Longfin and the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine, also left much to be desired. The Longfin, itself, was savory, but the sauce and cheeses were thick and overwhelming. The same went for the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine. The sauces were too heavy and too much. I also ordered their Black Cherry Guava Mojito. The drink was fresh, sweet, and I found myself digging to the bottom of my glass to fish out the muddled black cherries. Overall, the experience was mediocre. The service and establishment are top notch. Most of the food was too heavy/saucy for our tastes. I'll stick to Jax Fish House in Fort Collins.

    The place is a very dark with a romantic atmosphere. The restaurant had Barry White music playing in the background and one of those fake candles at the table. The staff was pleasant. I went once during it's busy hours and didn't want to wait 1 hour for a table. I finally gave them another chance right when they were starting to open up at 3pm. It was basically only 5 people in the place. The table gets an order of bread with olive oil to snack on while waiting for the food. It was okay, nothing to boast about. I had the corn chowder with crab for my starter, it was sweet for a chowder, but still very tasty. I had the steak with crab cakes which comes with cooked zucchini and asparagus for my extra side. The crab cakes where very moist and came with a sauce on the side, which was basically 1000 Island dressing with some horseradish sauce mixed in. I ordered my steak, medium, it might have been slightly over cooked to medium-well -- but it was still good. The steak was seasoned well, but did have some gristle on it. The asparagus and zucchini were okay, nothing spectacular. I don't expect much from veggies.

    This is the second time we have been to Bonefish, and both times we had a very enjoyable experience. The 1st time it was just the wife and myself, this time we took our kids. Everyone found something to eat, and if you are trying to eat healthy, you can do so here with out much effort. Very nice plus. I had the grouper with the mango salsa, it was cooked perfectly and the mango salsa paired very nicely - I wish it was at least some what spicy though. My wife had the trout with the Asain sauce, she said it was very good as well - the sauce was pretty much a fancy teriyaki. This time we tried the Bang Band shrimp, my wife and my 8yr old really liked them. I thought they were OK, but nothing I would honestly go there to get. Last time we got the Wagyu Beef + Ginger Dumplings, and we both agreed they were AWESOME! I'd much rather have those, but my wife really did like the Bang Bang shrimp. Ehhh no accounting for taste (other than marrying me of course). Service both times was good, last time I remember it being exceptional, this time I remember it being good. One thing to note, this place get's BUSY!!! Don't go if your in a hurry unless you have reservations! We didn't have them on a Saturday night, but they were able to make us some a little over an hour after we called to check for call ahead (which they don't do). They got us in right on time or a few minutes early. Coming from California, we miss good fresh seafood. While Bonefish doesn't completely fill that void, it does help.

    In my experience I've never had better service anywhere. The staff was very friendly, upbeat and efficient. Whoever does the hiring - kudos to you! You know when the table conversation is directed to how good everything is that you're having one of those awesome experiences. All our personal requests to the waitress were met with a smile and pleasant conversation. We even joked around with her and what a sweetheart! Now the food...I had the Imperial Longfin Talapia and my company had the Rainbow Trout with Lemon Butter. Our appetizer was Bang Bang Shrimp per recommendation of another Yelper. All our sides were spectacular and I'm really looking forward to going back for more. Fantastic meal and I would definitely recommend. There's a reason this place is busy with the locals.

    Bonefish is a bit of a mixed bag for me. When they respect their ingredients, their use of quality fresh fish makes for a real treat. Unfortunately, too many of their dishes are overwrought and over seasoned. I highly recommend making a reservation- you can do same day reservations up until 1 hour before they open. Without a reservation, as many said, you will be waiting an hour on a busy night. The staff at Bonefish are great. They pack people into this restaurant, and yet I was never left waiting for service or drinking out of a half empty water glass. Throughout the meal, you will spy the white-coated wait staff circling around the room, communicating with one another and their tables. Top notch service. I was not really a fan of any of their "signature" menu items. All of them were sugary or salty palate-killers that completely overpowered any other ingredients. The Cucumber Gin cocktail had so much simple syrup that it took me 2 glasses of water to get through it. The sauce for the Singapore Calamari was on the side, at least, so you could moderate how much went on your squid. As a "signature" sauce, I found it flat and one dimensional- no different than your standard sweet-and-sour sauce. My Crab and Corn chowder was better, but tasted more like a peppery white gravy than corn or crab. My wife's crab-crusted pompano was really disappointing. The seasoning in the breading combined with the burnt flavors of over-heated oil to thoroughly destroy any flavor. She could not finish more than a few bites. The moral of this story, and the reason I give them 3 stars instead of 2, is that you will be very pleased if you pick something that isn't accompanied (i.e. overpowered by smothering) with a sauce. I loved the lobster tails- they were well prepared and a great value- two large tails for twenty seven dollars. Their sides showed similar restraint- lightly seasoned rice or vegetables that highlighted the flavors rather than using them solely as a delivery vehicle for some syrupy nonsense. We will probably give Bonefish a go once more and stick to their grilled menu. If you do the same, you will be better pleased than we were.

    Maybe I'm not as picky as the rest of you, but at one time long ago I lived in both Loveland and Johnstown, and this is above fantastic for both towns! If it weren't a chain I'd give it 5 stars for both the food and the service. And I know we're not in 5 Star Restaurant territory in northern Colorado. I will say I fell in love with the Bang Bang shrimp and the crab cakes. Yummy!! I would heartily suggest you give this place a try. The food overall was really tasty and very well prepared.

    The place is a very dark with a romantic atmosphere. The restaurant had Barry White music playing in the background and one of those fake candles at the table. The staff was pleasant. I went once during it's busy hours and didn't want to wait 1 hour for a table. I finally gave them another chance right when they were starting to open up at 3pm. It was basically only 5 people in the place. The table gets an order of bread with olive oil to snack on while waiting for the food. It was okay, nothing to boast about. I had the corn chowder with crab for my starter, it was sweet for a chowder, but still very tasty. I had the steak with crab cakes which comes with cooked zucchini and asparagus for my extra side. The crab cakes where very moist and came with a sauce on the side, which was basically 1000 Island dressing with some horseradish sauce mixed in. I ordered my steak, medium, it might have been slightly over cooked to medium-well -- but it was still good. The steak was seasoned well, but did have some gristle on it. The asparagus and zucchini were okay, nothing spectacular. I don't expect much from veggies.

    The hubs and I went here on our way to a Cirque de Soleil show in Loveland. Our server was nice enough at first, but then he went into overly complicated explanations of the menu, and just kept getting more and more snooty. Every time he brought us something, the time that it took him to return grew. So, by the time he finally brought us the check, we had been waiting a long time. The food was pretty good. We really enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. I ordered the chicken special, which was good, but he talked this dish up so much, that I was quite surprised at how small the portions I received were. It looked more like a cornish hen than a chicken on my plate. My husband ordered the steak, which was really overcooked. The mashed potatoes that came with were really good, but the veggies were soggy and overcooked. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with our experience here, especially considering the amount of money that we dished out.

    I love, love Bonefish. I was pumped there when I got to town for work and found that there was a Bonefish. I've been to this location twice now and both times have been great. I love the ahi tuna, the dumplings, the bang bang shrimp, the house salad, the kobe burger, their special of lobster stuffed shrimp, the edamame, the sirloin, and especially the martinis. My fav martini is the raspberry, but the first time I ordered it I found that Bonefish changed the recipe (and it's horrible now FYI), so the next time, they were able to make it the old way for me - and since they weren't going to use that recipe anymore and were out of the ingredients, they gave me the recipe. Very nice but I REALLY hope Bonefish reconsiders and brings the original recipe back! Also, the martini that donates to Ocean Trust has a jalepeno in it (which never used to be in there at other locations and the flavor is off now). The service is also great here, they brought one app like 5 min after the others and the server comped us for taking so long! We hadn't even noticed it was late. I will definitely be bringing my coworkers here every time we're in the area!

    My sister and I decided to try a new seafood place. Since we're landlocked, finding good seafood is a challenge. The establishment is clean and has a warm/welcoming ambiance. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We first ordered two appetizers, the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Bacon Wrapped Atlantic Sea Scallops. The Bang Bang Shrimp tasted great for the first couple bites. After that, they just tasted too heavy/saucy. The Bacon Wrapped Atlantic Sea Scallops were amazing. They were tender with the right touch of sweetness. My sister wasn't impressed with the Corn Chowder with Lump Crab. Our two entrees, the Imperial Longfin and the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine, also left much to be desired. The Longfin, itself, was savory, but the sauce and cheeses were thick and overwhelming. The same went for the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine. The sauces were too heavy and too much. I also ordered their Black Cherry Guava Mojito. The drink was fresh, sweet, and I found myself digging to the bottom of my glass to fish out the muddled black cherries. Overall, the experience was mediocre. The service and establishment are top notch. Most of the food was too heavy/saucy for our tastes. I'll stick to Jax Fish House in Fort Collins.

    Great Food. Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. All you really need is the Bang-Bang Shrimp appetizer, and a bowl of the corn crab chowder. Both are excellent and make a decent meal without an entree. We drove 1200 miles to come to Loveland and to enjoy this area and this is the first place we stopped. I had the Rockfish entree which was stuffed with shrimp and lump crab meat. The fish had plenty of flavor and was prepared perfectly.

    I've been wanting to sample the Bonefish Grill chain for a while now. Tonight, I finally got my chance! The place was really busy. I spotted 3 open chairs at the bar and grabbed them for my parents and I. We decided that instead of waiting for a table, we'd just eat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly. At first, she took very good care of us. We all got salads. I got the house salad which was pretty good, but nothing spectacular, however, the fresh bread and olive oil pesto dip was great! I ordered one of the specials, which was Icelandic Wolf Fish (I think that's what it was called). It was served with wild rock shrimp and the menu described a lemon, garlic and wine sauce on top. It sounded fantastic when I read the description. However, the plate that was placed in front of me appeared as a brown glob that was drenched in butter. I couldn't tell where the potatoes started and the fish ended without just digging in and taking bites. This was also partially to blame on the extremely dim lighting. The presentation was awful. It didn't look appealing at all. The fish was cooked nicely, however it was drenched in so much butter that it killed the dish (not to mention made my stomach upset later in the evening!) and it made what should have been a light piece of fish, a heavy piece of mediocrity. My iced tea had been empty for quite a while when I started eating and was very low when our food arrived. Out of the three people that brought our food to our table, not a single one offered me a refill or even made note that my drink was nearly empty. Our bartender / waitress was nowhere to be seen. When she finally re-appeared, I tried to get her attention but I don't think she heard me. She spent so long chatting up a couple further down the bar that I actually stopped eating because I was so thirsty and started to stare at her and try to get her attention. I finally did get my iced tea, but it was really a downer that I went thirsty for so long. The other members of my party weren't very satisfied with their meals either. My father had the grouper and he said it was overcooked and dry. My mother had the corn and lump crab bisque and said it way too sweet and tasted odd for a soup like that. At least I got to scratch this place off of my list. My father said he's never eating here again. I don't think I'll be back either.

    Wow. I wasn't expecting to be blown away by a chain restaurant. The Bang Bang Shrimp, as mentioned, are completely delicious, but so is every other thing on the menu that we tried. Definitely make reservations, this place was hopping on Saturday night. Both my charming companion's fish entree and my steak entree were amazing, and cooked just right. The crab cakes were also fantastic. Tried the Key Lime Pie for dessert, only to be once again amazed. The best part? They serve Blue Bell ice cream, imported from Texas. A huge bonus. Our waiter was attentive, willing to chat, and put in our drink orders before happy hour ended but didn't bring them out until we were ready for our meal. A bit pricey and upscale, but so so worth it.

    I've never had a bad meal or bad service at Bonefish. However, the wait times at this Johnstown location can be FOREVER. Only once have we been able to get in, on a Tuesday at 5:30, and two other times we've left because the wait for a table was 60+ minutes. This isn't a problem, if they took reservations.... But when we've called ahead they said they only take a few and they are consistently gone.

    I don't care if you're a Vegetarian, the fish here is excellent. Do you like cheese? Do you like potatoes? Well then you'd be an idiot not to order the Potatoes Au Gratin as one of your sides. Excellent, although a little salty. The fish? Well being from California, I didn't expect it to be that good. Apparently they fly it in daily. I had the pistachio parmesan encrusted rainbow trout topped with artichokes, basil, and a lemon butter sauce. If that didn't make your mouth water, I don't know what will. The other choices for fish are still excellent and vary in sauces including Pan Asian, Lemon Butter, Veggie Mediterranean, and Warm Mango Salsa. The bread before hand is definitely warm and fresh, along with their nice olive oil and pesto dipping sauce. Appetizers were nice, but my favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp. Slightly breaded with a spicy cream sauce, these babies were good! Top all this off with a nice X-Rated Passion Fruit Martini, and I will definitely go back. If you're in the area, try it. This chain is something I'm looking forward to next time I'm in town.

    I've never had a bad experience here. Always great food (my favorite is the Chilean Sea Bass with the Chimichurri (sp?) rub). Fantastic wine list, great service. The Bang Bang Shrimp to start with and the Creme Brulee to finish.

    This is the best seafood I have had in a state without a coast. Before you go be prepared to drop some cash...I don't think anything on the menu is less than 20.00, but it is well worth it. We schedule a Bonefish meal two or three times a year and are eating our way through the menu. We love the ahi appetizer and do I even need to mention the heavenly kalamata pesto? All I can say is more, more, more! Top the evening off with one of the best creme brulee I have eaten anywhere and perhaps a bit of cognac. This is not your weekly drop into place because the groceries are gone. This is a two or three hour, sit back and delight meal.

I have eaten at far more expensive restaurants that were not nearly as enjoyable! I had the corn chowder, Arctic char entree with potato au'gratin and snap peas. I then had the strawberry shortcake dessert. Every item was excellently prepared and left me fully satisfied. I wouldn't call Bonefish an inexpensive restaurant, however I feel it offers excellent value when taking the exceptional quality into account. My server was fantastic as well. I stuck to his recommendations and I'm glad I did. He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. So, would I eat here again? In a heartbeat! Bonefish will become a regular stop anytime I am in, near or around the Loveland area.

    I'll be honest. I hadn't heard great things about Bonefish in the past and have been hesitant to try it. My better half suggested we try it anyway. Awesome decision. We were there late on a Tuesday night so we obviously didn't have to wait. We sat on the bar side and were waited on by Gale (or maybe Galen). HE WAS FABULOUS. So friendly, very attentive, suggested a GREAT cocktail. Yes. He was awesome. I even made sure to let the manager know what a great asset Gale is to their restaurant. The drink that he suggested, which I thoroughly enjoyed, was a Peach Bellini Martini. Does that not sound amazing?! It was. Get it. You'll love it. When it came time to order an appetizer, we asked our waiter's opinion - the Bang Bang Shrimp or Ceviche? He said that the Bang Bang Shrimp was one of the most popular dishes but that he would hands down, recommend the Ceviche. It was DELICIOUS. They make their chips in-house and we were given plenty of them. So tasty. Entrees: I got the rainbow trout with lemon butter and chimichurri sauces (on the side). For sides I opted for the whipped potatoes and the succatash. Everything was great. It was a BIG portion size (I only ate half). It was seasoned perfectly, not dry or overcooked and the options of the two sauces was nice. The boyfriend got the swordfish with the mango salsa with rice and caprese for sides. He really enjoyed his meal and the portion was also perfect. We were very pleased with our experience and attribute that mostly to Galen. We'll be returning for sure, with no hesitation!

    My husband and I had a night out and Ended up at the Bonefish Grill. The menu looked great and there was a $10 holiday coupon on their website, a winning combination. We have just recently moved to Loveland from NH and haven't changed our drivers licenses yet, so when I ordered a martini, our server examined my ID and ended up bringing it back to check it since he had never seen a NH ID before. This would have been fine (flattering actually since I'm 28 years old and hardly even get ID'd anymore) save for the fact that we saw him show multiple employees while laughing for about 5 minutes, then came over and preceded to quiz me on my birthdate. Luckily, I passed or we would have left and gone somewhere else. As for the food, I had the bang bang shrimp tacos with a side of French fries, and they were delicious. I had the white cosmopolitan, which I must say was worth all the ID trouble. Yum. My husband had the American Kobe Beef burger which he wasn't too partial to. He paid an extra $4 for the side of white truffle Mac and cheese which was good, but he said he would have rather had the fries. All in all, we had a decent experience and we would go back again to try a different dish, although maybe we'll wait until we get our Colorado ID's.

    This was my third time at Bonefish. They tend to have some of the best service I've encountered in today's world of horrible service. The servers are pleasant and know what they are doing. They don't interrupt your table conversation to 'auction off' the dishes. Their underwear is not hanging out or showing through, because they wear those smart looking chef style outfits. While the bang bang shrimp was supremely excellent as usual, and the ahi tuna dish got raves, we did have some disappointments. The Hollandaise sauce for the eggs was bleh. The fish and chips had a very hearty portion, but was very greasy. The server said to me, " well, it IS fried." Heh heh. That's not how you talk to a customer. Duh, I know it's fried. If a restaurant I go to has fried fish, I order it, because I love good fried fish. It's all in the batter/breading, as to how much oil is retained. This batter was a doozy for retaining oil. I had to cut most of it away just to eat the fish. I will go back to Bonefish Grill and try something new, because I have faith, and hey, bang bang shrimp.

Galen was a Pro's Pro and guided us thru the best drinks and food that this place had to offer. If you are in the area, I highly recommend an evening under this guy's tutelage. Enjoy!

    Great place for seafood in Northern Colorado. Lively and light atmosphere, professional waitstaff who are attentive and accurate. Bang-Bang shrimp a must for any meal here.     Stopped in for Dinner on a Sunday Night, place wasn't too crowded, waiter was nice and always prompt. Good atmosphere. I ordered the Rainbow Trout with Lime on top and the Couscous. Overall great fish! Stayed on the grill for just the right amount of time. Beer and wine list are pretty good, though I might add some more Colorado local brew selections given a choice. My only real critique is the price, seemed a bit up there compared to their peers (Red Lobster, etc.), but not obnoxiously so. Overall a good visit and they can look forward to having me again.

    Dark and disappointing. We were near Centerra so we decided to eat here for change of pace. We usually go into Fort Collins and eat at Fish when we want seafood. We arrived early at 5 on a snowy Sat eve so we were seated immediately. Our service was good from a friendly young woman. The restaurant was very dark and devoid of any real personality. I had the happy hour merlot, which was fine. The bread and dipping sauce was quite good. I had the corn and crab chowder, which was a disappointing thick lumpy goo that tasted like flour. It was almost inedible. My husbands's Cesar salad was plain and ordinary. Our white plates arrived with white fish, white mashed potatoes and white spaghetti squash. It was one of the most unappealing compositions I have ever seen, esp for a restaurant that is supposedly higher end. The potatoes were cold. The orange roughy was very good, however, with a crunchy coating and mild moist fish inside. The talapia imperial was plain and fine. There was truly nothing extraordinary about our food--it was all very flat, colorless and ordinary. There was certainly nothing to justify the prices. Next time we want seafood, we'll drive to Fish for something extraordinary for the same price.

    Food was perfectly cooked and seasoned, which was refreshing. Very comfortable, classy atmosphere and the service was great. (Ask for Jon, he was a friendly young man.) My wife is gluten free and the special menu had plenty of great options of which the scallop and shrimp were very good. The garbanzo bean side was great and the Flour-less chocolate macadamia nut brownie was way too good. Can't wait to go back.

    Bonefish is always good. I had the North Icelandic Cod special - very good. Also split some crab cakes with the wife before-hand. This is our fourth visit to Bonefish since they opened. It's a)very busy, make reservations and/or be prepared to wait, b) very noisy - always crowded, and c) kind of dark on the inside.

    My husband and I had a night out and Ended up at the Bonefish Grill. The menu looked great and there was a $10 holiday coupon on their website, a winning combination. We have just recently moved to Loveland from NH and haven't changed our drivers licenses yet, so when I ordered a martini, our server examined my ID and ended up bringing it back to check it since he had never seen a NH ID before. This would have been fine (flattering actually since I'm 28 years old and hardly even get ID'd anymore) save for the fact that we saw him show multiple employees while laughing for about 5 minutes, then came over and preceded to quiz me on my birthdate. Luckily, I passed or we would have left and gone somewhere else. As for the food, I had the bang bang shrimp tacos with a side of French fries, and they were delicious. I had the white cosmopolitan, which I must say was worth all the ID trouble. Yum. My husband had the American Kobe Beef burger which he wasn't too partial to. He paid an extra $4 for the side of white truffle Mac and cheese which was good, but he said he would have rather had the fries. All in all, we had a decent experience and we would go back again to try a different dish, although maybe we'll wait until we get our Colorado ID's.

    Stopped in for Dinner on a Sunday Night, place wasn't too crowded, waiter was nice and always prompt. Good atmosphere. I ordered the Rainbow Trout with Lime on top and the Couscous. Overall great fish! Stayed on the grill for just the right amount of time. Beer and wine list are pretty good, though I might add some more Colorado local brew selections given a choice. My only real critique is the price, seemed a bit up there compared to their peers (Red Lobster, etc.), but not obnoxiously so. Overall a good visit and they can look forward to having me again.

    We should have stayed at the bar...that was the best service...our bar tender was terrific. However, when we moved to the dining room, it all went downhill. Mediocre food with less than committed service. Note to self: avoid chain restaurants.

    I'll be honest. I hadn't heard great things about Bonefish in the past and have been hesitant to try it. My better half suggested we try it anyway. Awesome decision. We were there late on a Tuesday night so we obviously didn't have to wait. We sat on the bar side and were waited on by Gale (or maybe Galen). HE WAS FABULOUS. So friendly, very attentive, suggested a GREAT cocktail. Yes. He was awesome. I even made sure to let the manager know what a great asset Gale is to their restaurant. The drink that he suggested, which I thoroughly enjoyed, was a Peach Bellini Martini. Does that not sound amazing?! It was. Get it. You'll love it. When it came time to order an appetizer, we asked our waiter's opinion - the Bang Bang Shrimp or Ceviche? He said that the Bang Bang Shrimp was one of the most popular dishes but that he would hands down, recommend the Ceviche. It was DELICIOUS. They make their chips in-house and we were given plenty of them. So tasty. Entrees: I got the rainbow trout with lemon butter and chimichurri sauces (on the side). For sides I opted for the whipped potatoes and the succatash. Everything was great. It was a BIG portion size (I only ate half). It was seasoned perfectly, not dry or overcooked and the options of the two sauces was nice. The boyfriend got the swordfish with the mango salsa with rice and caprese for sides. He really enjoyed his meal and the portion was also perfect. We were very pleased with our experience and attribute that mostly to Galen. We'll be returning for sure, with no hesitation!

    Dark and disappointing. We were near Centerra so we decided to eat here for change of pace. We usually go into Fort Collins and eat at Fish when we want seafood. We arrived early at 5 on a snowy Sat eve so we were seated immediately. Our service was good from a friendly young woman. The restaurant was very dark and devoid of any real personality. I had the happy hour merlot, which was fine. The bread and dipping sauce was quite good. I had the corn and crab chowder, which was a disappointing thick lumpy goo that tasted like flour. It was almost inedible. My husbands's Cesar salad was plain and ordinary. Our white plates arrived with white fish, white mashed potatoes and white spaghetti squash. It was one of the most unappealing compositions I have ever seen, esp for a restaurant that is supposedly higher end. The potatoes were cold. The orange roughy was very good, however, with a crunchy coating and mild moist fish inside. The talapia imperial was plain and fine. There was truly nothing extraordinary about our food--it was all very flat, colorless and ordinary. There was certainly nothing to justify the prices. Next time we want seafood, we'll drive to Fish for something extraordinary for the same price.

    Stopped-in after work on a random weeknight to meet up with a friend who lives nearby, and was surprised to see that the place was hopping. Well, I suppose that's Loveland for you ... the denizens do love their chain restaurants, and happy hour. My friend & I got our signals crossed, so I spent ~15 minutes sitting by myself in the dining area -- the staff was still friendly and gracious. I ordered edamame to munch on while I waited. Rather than plain old salt their seasoning had a citrus note ... tasty though not all that traditional. I felt a bit angst-ridden as I perused the menu ... for the price point, the meals had better be good, but I couldn't get out of my head that it was a chain restaurant in the middle of a land-locked state. I ultimately decided to try the lobster roll special, rationalizing that if it is a special, there must be something, well, special about it. It was all right. Next time? Well, I might insist that my friend drive further than 5 minutes away, but if I don't prevail will probably stick to drinks and appies ...

    Usually the food is great and the setting is always nice, quiet and dimmed light. The service typically isn't good but our service from Amanda tonight was worse than usual. We didn't order for a good 25 minutes, it took about 15 to get a kids menu and when we received our food it was average. The bang bang shrimp was amazing as always but we were not offered bread until our food was on the table, the mojito was sweet, my potatoes au gratin were mostly hard and my steak was extremely dry and borderline cold. Really not sure if my family will be back, we left still hungry and dissatisfied after paying $70 for two adults and a child.

    We went again for lunch on Wednesday since we were told on Wednesday the Bang Bang Shrimp was half price. After being seated we were told this deal was only at dinner but the waitress asked the manager and she said it was fine so we had two Bang Bang shrimp as appetizers. I also ordered a ceviche was fresh and delicious. I asked if they had any bread and the waitress said only at dinner but if we'd like she would get us some but it would take a bit of time since it was baked in the oven so I said yes. She then came eventually with a nice hot little loaf of bread with a dipping sauce, for free. The manager came around and said anytime we came on Wed. if we just asked we could get the Bang Bang Shrimp deal. We have not been back since but hope to on a Wed. again. I thought the waitress went above and beyond the call of duty. The place is always clean, the restrooms are very nice and the food is just excellent!

    Never have I ever been able to order a steak the way I like it and it actually comes that way. I tell my servers, 'As raw as I can get it. Just sear it.' However, I think the chefs are scared to actually give it to me that way. That being said, I came to Bonefish Grill tonight for my birthday. I decided on the sirloin and crab cake. I ordered my steak for dinner tonight, exactly the way I always do, and when it came, I cut into it, and low and behold, it was raw and room temp in the middle. It. Was. Perfect. The best steak I've ever been served. Kelly was our server and she was very kind and personable. Witty and charming while still being professional. She was amazing. The entire staff was very courteous and genuinely kind. It was one of the best nights out I've had at a restaurant.

    I have recently been back to Bonefish to try some of their more expensive dishes and all I can say is WOW! The Imperial Long fin is a great dish at $17 and is most definitely one of the best seafood dishes I have had in this area. It was well worth the price and I would absolutely order again. This is always on the menu! The latest thing I had was Arctic Char. It was a seasonal item so it will probably not be available for long. This is a cross between Trout and Salmon. It came topped with blue cheese, bacon and spinach and it was truly a masterpiece! I think this was around $18 After trying some of the more expensive dishes I can easily say that Bonefish deserves that extra star from my last review! Oh and get the Bang Bang Shrimp for your appetizer... You won't be sorry!

    Absolutely, horrible. Let me just say this, my waitress was excellent but the food was well below par. I could've done better at Burger King. I don't know how all of the reviewers are giving 3+ reviews. The food was horrendous. I am from out of town and was given two recommendations to go to this place to eat while I was in town visiting. I might as well have put seafood excrement and leather on my plate. Never ever again. I wish I could give it negative stars. I want my money and my time back.

    We went here on a Sat night around 7 pm. Wait was only 30-40 min. We were seated at an undesirable booth right by the entrance which blasted cold air every time the door opened. We asked to be moved and the hostess kindly sat us at another table without any further wait which was unexpected. The food was amazing - rainbow trout with mango salsa, ahi tuna. It was all incredible! It was the best meal and experience we had in a long time! They even put little glow sticks in the kids' drinks!

    To clarify, this review is for the Bonefish Grill in Loveland, Co - Thanksgiving weekend 2012 I will start with the positives, my bartender was friendly, knowledgable and pleasant overall, in fact she did hit most of, if not all the steps of service helping me navigate my way through the specials, the wine list and the main menu - she also made a good appetizer recommendation. I ordered the crab cakes and the Mahi Mahi special as my entree. The food was good, fresh served promptly and seemed to be a good value for portion size, quality, etc. The Maryland Crab Cake appetizer was good, but was served to me on a very hot plate, which I was warned about - I don't believe restaurants should serve plates that are hot enough to burn the patron, a warmed plate would be sufficient (unless of course its a sizzling fajita platter). I ordered two glasses of chardonnay and both were served at a very chilled (much too cold) temperature to enjoy with my grilled white fish and shell fish as intended. The bartender opened a bottle in front of me and popped the cork which is not the proper way for a bartender to open wine or champagne. When I initially arrived, I saw name placards across the entire bar which appeared to be reserved seating when I asked the bartender what the names were for, she replied "those are the names of the bartenders working tonight". I have never seen this in all my years, bartenders are suppose to build and establish rapports with their guests and the best way to do this is to formally introduce themselves and their coworkers. At one point during my entree, I witnessed my bartender picking something out of her teeth directly in front of me. Another bartender on duty walked by me 2 or 3 times and didn't offer me a beverage when mine was empty and didn't offer to clear my plate when I was done eating - my bartender's back was to me as she was restocking and counting her drawer. When my plates were cleared, my bread plate was removed and then I was asked if I was done with the bread. The bartender asked how my meal was and offered dessert, but no after dinner drink. I passed on the dessert, but had intended on ordering a dessert martini. The bartender dropped the check while I was still enjoying my second glass of wine, relaxing and watching a football game. Another male bartender with black hair used an unappetizing expletive while servicing a group of three directly next to me. In addition to the improper wine opening/presentation technique, the bartender also did not use proper martini presentation techniques which requires the bartender to shake and strain the martini over the bar in front of the guest whenever possible (bar-tending 101 stuff) When I settled my tab, the bartender presented the check to me with rubber sanitation gloves on both hands. I ordered a $12 appetizer, a $22 entree, two glasses of wine and a dessert martini and hoped to have a more memorable experience than this. I will have to think twice before spending my hard earned money at this establishment again.

Split the mixed grill and it was good - mango salsa had a nice flavor and was probably my fav sauce out of the 4. Bread w/ olive oil and pesto that arrives at each table is a nice start as well. Fish was slightly overcooked - about 2 min less cooking time would have been perfect. Ordered asparagus and garlic mash potatoes - stalks on the asparagus were huge - put 2 pens side-by-side and that's about the thickness. The stand-out was the Ahi tuna - probably the best I've ever had. Drizzled along the side of the dish was a slightly spicy sauce - everything about the dish was great.

    We moved from Loveland to TX in May and have been craving Bonefish. We were very disappointed in our server. Our party of 6 was sat in a booth in the bar area. Not our first choice but we were ok with it. Our server didn't explain any of the specials. When I asked about them, she said they were on the little menu that was hidden under our larger menus and walked away. She forgot to bring our 2 Bang Bang shrimp appetizers and overall very unattentive! We'll be back because we know this is not typical Bonefish service but were disappointed this evening.

    Ate here last night 4/2/14 for dinner for the very first time. The place was very busy for a week night. We did an online reservation and were seated pretty quickly after arriving. Our server was very efficient and helpful. The complimentary bread with garlic was superb. I ordered the Bang Bang shrimp tacos and the wife had the Baja fish tacos. Food was out of this world tasty. We both had drinks and they were top notch also. For the Loveland area this place is probably the best we have eaten at in a really long time. Great job to the staff at Bonefish for our awesome experience.

    This restaurant already deserves three stars by default because of the location. Though the area has grown in the last few years, I still consider anything between Longmont and Ft Collins middle of nowhere. The place is apparently perpetually crowded, so one won't get in without reservations. The food is good. This is a large chain, but everything's got flavor and thought behind the recipes. The entrees are around $20, but you get a lot of food. I'd skip appetizers especially because they bring you this really wonderful warm delicious bread. I had a "cobb" salad, and it was a great value for $10 with lots of tasty chicken, large chunks of avocado and mango. Everyone else at the table had fish and all were very pleased, though agreed that the prep was a bit on the greasy side. Not a huge deal, but we never did get our salads/soups. The manager apologized profusely and told us he'd take them off the bill. We had hard time feeling grateful for not being billed for the food we never received. Not that we had any room for dessert, but I expected them to at least offer to buy us some dessert or drinks. I did not think that oversight was handled particularly well. So minus two stars for the greasier-than-needed food and not great management. Otherwise, a very decent place, especially for the location.

    Eh, ok, expensive. I'm a fish snob, as I use to work on fishing boats and am use to fresh fish. Ate at a Bonefish once in Florida and it was excellent, which is why I tried this place. I usually avoid chains, will avoid this one in the future. Wasn't worth the price and the selection of fish wasn't much for a place with fish in its name. Also seemed loud. Waiter was funny, although I don't think he meant to be, but he was nice and the favorite part of the visit. We didn't take the leftovers home.

    Great Food. Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. All you really need is the Bang-Bang Shrimp appetizer, and a bowl of the corn crab chowder. Both are excellent and make a decent meal without an entree. We drove 1200 miles to come to Loveland and to enjoy this area and this is the first place we stopped. I had the Rockfish entree which was stuffed with shrimp and lump crab meat. The fish had plenty of flavor and was prepared perfectly.

    This has become one of my newest favorite restaurants in the Northern Colorado area. In the past, I had just been here for a drink, and while the drinks were good, I had yet to eat here. A few weeks ago we came here for dinner to celebrate my Mom's birthday. The entire meal was excellent. I had the fresh apple martini, which was one of the best martini's I've ever had. Appetizers were the Bang-Bang Shrimp and the Maryland Crabcakes. For someone who is not a huge seafood lover, I have to say that I loved the crabcakes. For dinner, I ordered the Flordia Cobb salad and it was amazing. Plenty of grilled chicken, fresh bleu cheese, it was all around delicous. We didn't order dessert, but because it was my Mom's birthday, our waiter brought our chocolate covered strawberries which were great. The waiters/waitresses here are nothing short of professional, and definitely deserve every penny of the tips they earn. My brother and I went back a couple weeks ago for dinner, and again, the meal was nothing short of amazing. This time, I had the key lime pie which was fabulous. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area or who is visiting.

    This is one of the best restaurants near Fort Collins. It is huge, but even with reservations you will wait 30 minutes on a Saturday night. Great fish, mostly great apps. (avoid the "bang bang shrimp" which was doughy and mushy. Get the seared ahi tuna instead) For entree, avoid the salmon (its farmed, but you ARE in Colorado) and get any other fresh grilled fish. Ask for the sauces on the side unless you don't really like fish. Expensive ($21 entree, $13 apps.). Great waitstaff, but we've noticed that this is the norm around here.

    Great place for a date night, wouldn't really recommend for small children. Front desk / reservation staff tends to be a bit ditzy, but never had problems with the servers. Food has always been good, but on our last visit the sides came out in the shape of the spoons they dished them with. At this price range they shouldn't have the cafeteria appearance.

    Good fish! I have eaten here a couple of times previously and just writing a review. Went with a group of 4 on a week night. Pre-dinner drinks were quick and tasty. Good wine list. The fish itself is always good and tastes fresh however their side dishes/garnish have left me wanting something "more". Service has always been good although at times a bit rushed it seems.

    We've never sat in the dining room, and for all I can tell, we never will, we just like the activity of the bar. It was crowded, with a 45 min. wait for the bar booths, but we were invited to grab any seat available at the community table or the bar. Side note--while scouting the bar and community table for a seat I notice a woman with a chair beside her and a purse on it, I generally assume the best in all folk, so I assume someone is sitting there. The rest of the table was fairly crowded with only single spots available. We decide to do a quick run up the street then come back since we were told it was a 45 min wait for a bar booth. When we got back, the lady and purse were still unchanged--evidently this woman thinks highly enough of her purse that it needs to occupy an entire seat on it's own in a crowded bar. How annoying. I go up and ask her if anyone is sitting there," just my purse". (Huh?) So I respond with a very respond with a very nice and friendly "Oh Thank you" and start to pull the chair around to my direction. Please. Blueberry infused Martini and the Pomegranite Cranberry Kir Royale are perfect and refreshing. I can't believe we didn't order the Calamari, it's one of our favorites. And by the way, whenever the waitstaff suggests the Bang Bang Shrimp, I want to puke. My only experience with it was a mushy, tasteless plate of muck. So instead: The Crab Corn Chowdah is tasty, rich, and creamy. The Grilled Salmon and Asparagus Salad was done very well, except for the uneven dressing distribution. The first half of the salad I ate was not dressed at all, and the second half was overly dressed with the tasty citrus vinaigrette. Then fennel is a great addition to the salad, one of my favorite flavors event though when asked I'll tell you I'm not a licorice fan. The only downside of this salad is the length of time it took to get served this dish. It's a salad, people! By 8 pm, the bar had pretty much cleared out, and the bar backs were re-stocking the wine. So we made note to avoid the 6-7 time frame and opt for a later dinner next time, cause after all, Loveland is still a sleepy little town.

    We went on a Bang Bang Wednesday. We had reservations, and were seated on time. We just had appetizers, which is what we usually do when we come here. We had the 3 Bang Bang shrimps, muscles, lobster bisque, bacon wrapped scallops, and lollipop sushi. Everything was great except for the lollipop sushi, which was just cucumber slices with tiny pieces of sushi in the middle. Service was good, but we felt like they were being rushed. Total bill for 2 with drinks was about $75 before tip.

    I've been wanting to sample the Bonefish Grill chain for a while now. Tonight, I finally got my chance! The place was really busy. I spotted 3 open chairs at the bar and grabbed them for my parents and I. We decided that instead of waiting for a table, we'd just eat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly. At first, she took very good care of us. We all got salads. I got the house salad which was pretty good, but nothing spectacular, however, the fresh bread and olive oil pesto dip was great! I ordered one of the specials, which was Icelandic Wolf Fish (I think that's what it was called). It was served with wild rock shrimp and the menu described a lemon, garlic and wine sauce on top. It sounded fantastic when I read the description. However, the plate that was placed in front of me appeared as a brown glob that was drenched in butter. I couldn't tell where the potatoes started and the fish ended without just digging in and taking bites. This was also partially to blame on the extremely dim lighting. The presentation was awful. It didn't look appealing at all. The fish was cooked nicely, however it was drenched in so much butter that it killed the dish (not to mention made my stomach upset later in the evening!) and it made what should have been a light piece of fish, a heavy piece of mediocrity. My iced tea had been empty for quite a while when I started eating and was very low when our food arrived. Out of the three people that brought our food to our table, not a single one offered me a refill or even made note that my drink was nearly empty. Our bartender / waitress was nowhere to be seen. When she finally re-appeared, I tried to get her attention but I don't think she heard me. She spent so long chatting up a couple further down the bar that I actually stopped eating because I was so thirsty and started to stare at her and try to get her attention. I finally did get my iced tea, but it was really a downer that I went thirsty for so long. The other members of my party weren't very satisfied with their meals either. My father had the grouper and he said it was overcooked and dry. My mother had the corn and lump crab bisque and said it way too sweet and tasted odd for a soup like that. At least I got to scratch this place off of my list. My father said he's never eating here again. I don't think I'll be back either.

    Wow. I wasn't expecting to be blown away by a chain restaurant. The Bang Bang Shrimp, as mentioned, are completely delicious, but so is every other thing on the menu that we tried. Definitely make reservations, this place was hopping on Saturday night. Both my charming companion's fish entree and my steak entree were amazing, and cooked just right. The crab cakes were also fantastic. Tried the Key Lime Pie for dessert, only to be once again amazed. The best part? They serve Blue Bell ice cream, imported from Texas. A huge bonus. Our waiter was attentive, willing to chat, and put in our drink orders before happy hour ended but didn't bring them out until we were ready for our meal. A bit pricey and upscale, but so so worth it.

    I've never had a bad meal or bad service at Bonefish. However, the wait times at this Johnstown location can be FOREVER. Only once have we been able to get in, on a Tuesday at 5:30, and two other times we've left because the wait for a table was 60+ minutes. This isn't a problem, if they took reservations.... But when we've called ahead they said they only take a few and they are consistently gone.

    I don't care if you're a Vegetarian, the fish here is excellent. Do you like cheese? Do you like potatoes? Well then you'd be an idiot not to order the Potatoes Au Gratin as one of your sides. Excellent, although a little salty. The fish? Well being from California, I didn't expect it to be that good. Apparently they fly it in daily. I had the pistachio parmesan encrusted rainbow trout topped with artichokes, basil, and a lemon butter sauce. If that didn't make your mouth water, I don't know what will. The other choices for fish are still excellent and vary in sauces including Pan Asian, Lemon Butter, Veggie Mediterranean, and Warm Mango Salsa. The bread before hand is definitely warm and fresh, along with their nice olive oil and pesto dipping sauce. Appetizers were nice, but my favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp. Slightly breaded with a spicy cream sauce, these babies were good! Top all this off with a nice X-Rated Passion Fruit Martini, and I will definitely go back. If you're in the area, try it. This chain is something I'm looking forward to next time I'm in town.

    For a place being pretty far away from any fresh fish source, Bonefish is really good. The bang bang shrimp was great, and our server, Matt, was very attentive and knowlegable. He recommended the chilean sea bass, which was great. We were also given wine pairings for our meals, and loved it.

    I've never had a bad experience here. Always great food (my favorite is the Chilean Sea Bass with the Chimichurri (sp?) rub). Fantastic wine list, great service. The Bang Bang Shrimp to start with and the Creme Brulee to finish.

    This is the best seafood I have had in a state without a coast. Before you go be prepared to drop some cash...I don't think anything on the menu is less than 20.00, but it is well worth it. We schedule a Bonefish meal two or three times a year and are eating our way through the menu. We love the ahi appetizer and do I even need to mention the heavenly kalamata pesto? All I can say is more, more, more! Top the evening off with one of the best creme brulee I have eaten anywhere and perhaps a bit of cognac. This is not your weekly drop into place because the groceries are gone. This is a two or three hour, sit back and delight meal.

    This has become one of my newest favorite restaurants in the Northern Colorado area. In the past, I had just been here for a drink, and while the drinks were good, I had yet to eat here. A few weeks ago we came here for dinner to celebrate my Mom's birthday. The entire meal was excellent. I had the fresh apple martini, which was one of the best martini's I've ever had. Appetizers were the Bang-Bang Shrimp and the Maryland Crabcakes. For someone who is not a huge seafood lover, I have to say that I loved the crabcakes. For dinner, I ordered the Flordia Cobb salad and it was amazing. Plenty of grilled chicken, fresh bleu cheese, it was all around delicous. We didn't order dessert, but because it was my Mom's birthday, our waiter brought our chocolate covered strawberries which were great. The waiters/waitresses here are nothing short of professional, and definitely deserve every penny of the tips they earn. My brother and I went back a couple weeks ago for dinner, and again, the meal was nothing short of amazing. This time, I had the key lime pie which was fabulous. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area or who is visiting.

    This is one of the best restaurants near Fort Collins. It is huge, but even with reservations you will wait 30 minutes on a Saturday night. Great fish, mostly great apps. (avoid the "bang bang shrimp" which was doughy and mushy. Get the seared ahi tuna instead) For entree, avoid the salmon (its farmed, but you ARE in Colorado) and get any other fresh grilled fish. Ask for the sauces on the side unless you don't really like fish. Expensive ($21 entree, $13 apps.). Great waitstaff, but we've noticed that this is the norm around here.

    Great place for a date night, wouldn't really recommend for small children. Front desk / reservation staff tends to be a bit ditzy, but never had problems with the servers. Food has always been good, but on our last visit the sides came out in the shape of the spoons they dished them with. At this price range they shouldn't have the cafeteria appearance.

    I went here recently and had a great meal! I had their Baja Fish Tacos which were most excellent! In fact I might not want to eat fish tacos anywhere else unless it is here! I also had a Black Cherry Mojito which was great and can't stop thinking about it and would love to go back soon and have at LEAST one more!

    Good fish! I have eaten here a couple of times previously and just writing a review. Went with a group of 4 on a week night. Pre-dinner drinks were quick and tasty. Good wine list. The fish itself is always good and tastes fresh however their side dishes/garnish have left me wanting something "more". Service has always been good although at times a bit rushed it seems.

    Stopped-in after work on a random weeknight to meet up with a friend who lives nearby, and was surprised to see that the place was hopping. Well, I suppose that's Loveland for you ... the denizens do love their chain restaurants, and happy hour. My friend & I got our signals crossed, so I spent ~15 minutes sitting by myself in the dining area -- the staff was still friendly and gracious. I ordered edamame to munch on while I waited. Rather than plain old salt their seasoning had a citrus note ... tasty though not all that traditional. I felt a bit angst-ridden as I perused the menu ... for the price point, the meals had better be good, but I couldn't get out of my head that it was a chain restaurant in the middle of a land-locked state. I ultimately decided to try the lobster roll special, rationalizing that if it is a special, there must be something, well, special about it. It was all right. Next time? Well, I might insist that my friend drive further than 5 minutes away, but if I don't prevail will probably stick to drinks and appies ...

    Bonefish is always good. I had the North Icelandic Cod special - very good. Also split some crab cakes with the wife before-hand. This is our fourth visit to Bonefish since they opened. It's a)very busy, make reservations and/or be prepared to wait, b) very noisy - always crowded, and c) kind of dark on the inside.

    Usually the food is great and the setting is always nice, quiet and dimmed light. The service typically isn't good but our service from Amanda tonight was worse than usual. We didn't order for a good 25 minutes, it took about 15 to get a kids menu and when we received our food it was average. The bang bang shrimp was amazing as always but we were not offered bread until our food was on the table, the mojito was sweet, my potatoes au gratin were mostly hard and my steak was extremely dry and borderline cold. Really not sure if my family will be back, we left still hungry and dissatisfied after paying $70 for two adults and a child.

    We went again for lunch on Wednesday since we were told on Wednesday the Bang Bang Shrimp was half price. After being seated we were told this deal was only at dinner but the waitress asked the manager and she said it was fine so we had two Bang Bang shrimp as appetizers. I also ordered a ceviche was fresh and delicious. I asked if they had any bread and the waitress said only at dinner but if we'd like she would get us some but it would take a bit of time since it was baked in the oven so I said yes. She then came eventually with a nice hot little loaf of bread with a dipping sauce, for free. The manager came around and said anytime we came on Wed. if we just asked we could get the Bang Bang Shrimp deal. We have not been back since but hope to on a Wed. again. I thought the waitress went above and beyond the call of duty. The place is always clean, the restrooms are very nice and the food is just excellent!

    The hubs and I went here on our way to a Cirque de Soleil show in Loveland. Our server was nice enough at first, but then he went into overly complicated explanations of the menu, and just kept getting more and more snooty. Every time he brought us something, the time that it took him to return grew. So, by the time he finally brought us the check, we had been waiting a long time. The food was pretty good. We really enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. I ordered the chicken special, which was good, but he talked this dish up so much, that I was quite surprised at how small the portions I received were. It looked more like a cornish hen than a chicken on my plate. My husband ordered the steak, which was really overcooked. The mashed potatoes that came with were really good, but the veggies were soggy and overcooked. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with our experience here, especially considering the amount of money that we dished out.

    This restaurant is phenomenal. They go to great lengths to ensure a truly awesome experience. I have never had food there I didn't like. I have also never been there and not seen it packed and with a wait. There is a reason for that! HIGHLY recommended.

    Never have I ever been able to order a steak the way I like it and it actually comes that way. I tell my servers, 'As raw as I can get it. Just sear it.' However, I think the chefs are scared to actually give it to me that way. That being said, I came to Bonefish Grill tonight for my birthday. I decided on the sirloin and crab cake. I ordered my steak for dinner tonight, exactly the way I always do, and when it came, I cut into it, and low and behold, it was raw and room temp in the middle. It. Was. Perfect. The best steak I've ever been served. Kelly was our server and she was very kind and personable. Witty and charming while still being professional. She was amazing. The entire staff was very courteous and genuinely kind. It was one of the best nights out I've had at a restaurant.

    We moved from Loveland to TX in May and have been craving Bonefish. We were very disappointed in our server. Our party of 6 was sat in a booth in the bar area. Not our first choice but we were ok with it. Our server didn't explain any of the specials. When I asked about them, she said they were on the little menu that was hidden under our larger menus and walked away. She forgot to bring our 2 Bang Bang shrimp appetizers and overall very unattentive! We'll be back because we know this is not typical Bonefish service but were disappointed this evening.

    Ate here last night 4/2/14 for dinner for the very first time. The place was very busy for a week night. We did an online reservation and were seated pretty quickly after arriving. Our server was very efficient and helpful. The complimentary bread with garlic was superb. I ordered the Bang Bang shrimp tacos and the wife had the Baja fish tacos. Food was out of this world tasty. We both had drinks and they were top notch also. For the Loveland area this place is probably the best we have eaten at in a really long time. Great job to the staff at Bonefish for our awesome experience.

    Food was perfectly cooked and seasoned, which was refreshing. Very comfortable, classy atmosphere and the service was great. (Ask for Jon, he was a friendly young man.) My wife is gluten free and the special menu had plenty of great options of which the scallop and shrimp were very good. The garbanzo bean side was great and the Flour-less chocolate macadamia nut brownie was way too good. Can't wait to go back.

    I have recently been back to Bonefish to try some of their more expensive dishes and all I can say is WOW! The Imperial Long fin is a great dish at $17 and is most definitely one of the best seafood dishes I have had in this area. It was well worth the price and I would absolutely order again. This is always on the menu! The latest thing I had was Arctic Char. It was a seasonal item so it will probably not be available for long. This is a cross between Trout and Salmon. It came topped with blue cheese, bacon and spinach and it was truly a masterpiece! I think this was around $18 After trying some of the more expensive dishes I can easily say that Bonefish deserves that extra star from my last review! Oh and get the Bang Bang Shrimp for your appetizer... You won't be sorry!

    Absolutely, horrible. Let me just say this, my waitress was excellent but the food was well below par. I could've done better at Burger King. I don't know how all of the reviewers are giving 3+ reviews. The food was horrendous. I am from out of town and was given two recommendations to go to this place to eat while I was in town visiting. I might as well have put seafood excrement and leather on my plate. Never ever again. I wish I could give it negative stars. I want my money and my time back.

    We went here on a Sat night around 7 pm. Wait was only 30-40 min. We were seated at an undesirable booth right by the entrance which blasted cold air every time the door opened. We asked to be moved and the hostess kindly sat us at another table without any further wait which was unexpected. The food was amazing - rainbow trout with mango salsa, ahi tuna. It was all incredible! It was the best meal and experience we had in a long time! They even put little glow sticks in the kids' drinks!

    I love, love Bonefish. I was pumped there when I got to town for work and found that there was a Bonefish. I've been to this location twice now and both times have been great. I love the ahi tuna, the dumplings, the bang bang shrimp, the house salad, the kobe burger, their special of lobster stuffed shrimp, the edamame, the sirloin, and especially the martinis. My fav martini is the raspberry, but the first time I ordered it I found that Bonefish changed the recipe (and it's horrible now FYI), so the next time, they were able to make it the old way for me - and since they weren't going to use that recipe anymore and were out of the ingredients, they gave me the recipe. Very nice but I REALLY hope Bonefish reconsiders and brings the original recipe back! Also, the martini that donates to Ocean Trust has a jalepeno in it (which never used to be in there at other locations and the flavor is off now). The service is also great here, they brought one app like 5 min after the others and the server comped us for taking so long! We hadn't even noticed it was late. I will definitely be bringing my coworkers here every time we're in the area!

    My sister and I decided to try a new seafood place. Since we're landlocked, finding good seafood is a challenge. The establishment is clean and has a warm/welcoming ambiance. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We first ordered two appetizers, the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Bacon Wrapped Atlantic Sea Scallops. The Bang Bang Shrimp tasted great for the first couple bites. After that, they just tasted too heavy/saucy. The Bacon Wrapped Atlantic Sea Scallops were amazing. They were tender with the right touch of sweetness. My sister wasn't impressed with the Corn Chowder with Lump Crab. Our two entrees, the Imperial Longfin and the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine, also left much to be desired. The Longfin, itself, was savory, but the sauce and cheeses were thick and overwhelming. The same went for the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine. The sauces were too heavy and too much. I also ordered their Black Cherry Guava Mojito. The drink was fresh, sweet, and I found myself digging to the bottom of my glass to fish out the muddled black cherries. Overall, the experience was mediocre. The service and establishment are top notch. Most of the food was too heavy/saucy for our tastes. I'll stick to Jax Fish House in Fort Collins.

    The place is a very dark with a romantic atmosphere. The restaurant had Barry White music playing in the background and one of those fake candles at the table. The staff was pleasant. I went once during it's busy hours and didn't want to wait 1 hour for a table. I finally gave them another chance right when they were starting to open up at 3pm. It was basically only 5 people in the place. The table gets an order of bread with olive oil to snack on while waiting for the food. It was okay, nothing to boast about. I had the corn chowder with crab for my starter, it was sweet for a chowder, but still very tasty. I had the steak with crab cakes which comes with cooked zucchini and asparagus for my extra side. The crab cakes where very moist and came with a sauce on the side, which was basically 1000 Island dressing with some horseradish sauce mixed in. I ordered my steak, medium, it might have been slightly over cooked to medium-well -- but it was still good. The steak was seasoned well, but did have some gristle on it. The asparagus and zucchini were okay, nothing spectacular. I don't expect much from veggies.

    To clarify, this review is for the Bonefish Grill in Loveland, Co - Thanksgiving weekend 2012 I will start with the positives, my bartender was friendly, knowledgable and pleasant overall, in fact she did hit most of, if not all the steps of service helping me navigate my way through the specials, the wine list and the main menu - she also made a good appetizer recommendation. I ordered the crab cakes and the Mahi Mahi special as my entree. The food was good, fresh served promptly and seemed to be a good value for portion size, quality, etc. The Maryland Crab Cake appetizer was good, but was served to me on a very hot plate, which I was warned about - I don't believe restaurants should serve plates that are hot enough to burn the patron, a warmed plate would be sufficient (unless of course its a sizzling fajita platter). I ordered two glasses of chardonnay and both were served at a very chilled (much too cold) temperature to enjoy with my grilled white fish and shell fish as intended. The bartender opened a bottle in front of me and popped the cork which is not the proper way for a bartender to open wine or champagne. When I initially arrived, I saw name placards across the entire bar which appeared to be reserved seating when I asked the bartender what the names were for, she replied "those are the names of the bartenders working tonight". I have never seen this in all my years, bartenders are suppose to build and establish rapports with their guests and the best way to do this is to formally introduce themselves and their coworkers. At one point during my entree, I witnessed my bartender picking something out of her teeth directly in front of me. Another bartender on duty walked by me 2 or 3 times and didn't offer me a beverage when mine was empty and didn't offer to clear my plate when I was done eating - my bartender's back was to me as she was restocking and counting her drawer. When my plates were cleared, my bread plate was removed and then I was asked if I was done with the bread. The bartender asked how my meal was and offered dessert, but no after dinner drink. I passed on the dessert, but had intended on ordering a dessert martini. The bartender dropped the check while I was still enjoying my second glass of wine, relaxing and watching a football game. Another male bartender with black hair used an unappetizing expletive while servicing a group of three directly next to me. In addition to the improper wine opening/presentation technique, the bartender also did not use proper martini presentation techniques which requires the bartender to shake and strain the martini over the bar in front of the guest whenever possible (bar-tending 101 stuff) When I settled my tab, the bartender presented the check to me with rubber sanitation gloves on both hands. I ordered a $12 appetizer, a $22 entree, two glasses of wine and a dessert martini and hoped to have a more memorable experience than this. I will have to think twice before spending my hard earned money at this establishment again.

    Short: Make a reservation, food is B+, quite consistent, service B+ Long: Bonefish is close, and a great place to go with friends, provided you know in enough time to make a reservation ( which is quite easy via their website). The fist time I went, I left as it was over an hour wait. Even though I make reservations now, you still usually have to wait 10-15 min after your time. The place is always buzzing, if that's not your style I have yet to be there on a "quiet" night. The servers are knowledgeable, decent selection of beer and drinks. The food is good, always consistent and they offer some great specials but you cant go wrong with the standbys.

    This is the second time we have been to Bonefish, and both times we had a very enjoyable experience. The 1st time it was just the wife and myself, this time we took our kids. Everyone found something to eat, and if you are trying to eat healthy, you can do so here with out much effort. Very nice plus. I had the grouper with the mango salsa, it was cooked perfectly and the mango salsa paired very nicely - I wish it was at least some what spicy though. My wife had the trout with the Asain sauce, she said it was very good as well - the sauce was pretty much a fancy teriyaki. This time we tried the Bang Band shrimp, my wife and my 8yr old really liked them. I thought they were OK, but nothing I would honestly go there to get. Last time we got the Wagyu Beef + Ginger Dumplings, and we both agreed they were AWESOME! I'd much rather have those, but my wife really did like the Bang Bang shrimp. Ehhh no accounting for taste (other than marrying me of course). Service both times was good, last time I remember it being exceptional, this time I remember it being good. One thing to note, this place get's BUSY!!! Don't go if your in a hurry unless you have reservations! We didn't have them on a Saturday night, but they were able to make us some a little over an hour after we called to check for call ahead (which they don't do). They got us in right on time or a few minutes early. Coming from California, we miss good fresh seafood. While Bonefish doesn't completely fill that void, it does help.

    In my experience I've never had better service anywhere. The staff was very friendly, upbeat and efficient. Whoever does the hiring - kudos to you! You know when the table conversation is directed to how good everything is that you're having one of those awesome experiences. All our personal requests to the waitress were met with a smile and pleasant conversation. We even joked around with her and what a sweetheart! Now the food...I had the Imperial Longfin Talapia and my company had the Rainbow Trout with Lemon Butter. Our appetizer was Bang Bang Shrimp per recommendation of another Yelper. All our sides were spectacular and I'm really looking forward to going back for more. Fantastic meal and I would definitely recommend. There's a reason this place is busy with the locals.

    So so so yummy!!!!!! My boyfriend and I went there tonight and we will absolutely be going back no doubt!!! Our server Telisha was so great and knowledgeable about the menu!!!! There was NOTHING to complain about at all- delicious bread- martinis- bang shrimp- and Chilean seabass yummmm! We are sooooooo making this one of our new favorite date night spots!!!

    Bonefish is a bit of a mixed bag for me. When they respect their ingredients, their use of quality fresh fish makes for a real treat. Unfortunately, too many of their dishes are overwrought and over seasoned. I highly recommend making a reservation- you can do same day reservations up until 1 hour before they open. Without a reservation, as many said, you will be waiting an hour on a busy night. The staff at Bonefish are great. They pack people into this restaurant, and yet I was never left waiting for service or drinking out of a half empty water glass. Throughout the meal, you will spy the white-coated wait staff circling around the room, communicating with one another and their tables. Top notch service. I was not really a fan of any of their "signature" menu items. All of them were sugary or salty palate-killers that completely overpowered any other ingredients. The Cucumber Gin cocktail had so much simple syrup that it took me 2 glasses of water to get through it. The sauce for the Singapore Calamari was on the side, at least, so you could moderate how much went on your squid. As a "signature" sauce, I found it flat and one dimensional- no different than your standard sweet-and-sour sauce. My Crab and Corn chowder was better, but tasted more like a peppery white gravy than corn or crab. My wife's crab-crusted pompano was really disappointing. The seasoning in the breading combined with the burnt flavors of over-heated oil to thoroughly destroy any flavor. She could not finish more than a few bites. The moral of this story, and the reason I give them 3 stars instead of 2, is that you will be very pleased if you pick something that isn't accompanied (i.e. overpowered by smothering) with a sauce. I loved the lobster tails- they were well prepared and a great value- two large tails for twenty seven dollars. Their sides showed similar restraint- lightly seasoned rice or vegetables that highlighted the flavors rather than using them solely as a delivery vehicle for some syrupy nonsense. We will probably give Bonefish a go once more and stick to their grilled menu. If you do the same, you will be better pleased than we were.

    Maybe I'm not as picky as the rest of you, but at one time long ago I lived in both Loveland and Johnstown, and this is above fantastic for both towns! If it weren't a chain I'd give it 5 stars for both the food and the service. And I know we're not in 5 Star Restaurant territory in northern Colorado. I will say I fell in love with the Bang Bang shrimp and the crab cakes. Yummy!! I would heartily suggest you give this place a try. The food overall was really tasty and very well prepared.

    Nice place for a nice meal :) I haven't eaten anything here that I hated, so that's always a plus! My favorite main dishes are: *Lily's Chicken goat cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts, lemon basil sauce 13.7 *Atlantic Salmon 15.9 / 13.4 sm with Lemon Butter Sauce :D *Pecan Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout artichoke hearts, fresh basil + lemon butter 17.3 Favorite Sides: *Herbed Jasmine Rice *Steamed Vegetable Medley Favorite Soup: *Corn Chowder with Lump Crab Cup 5.7 Bowl 6.5 Add a cup of soup to any entrée 2.9 Wow,,, I'm getting hungry just thinking about these yummy plates!

    We've never sat in the dining room, and for all I can tell, we never will, we just like the activity of the bar. It was crowded, with a 45 min. wait for the bar booths, but we were invited to grab any seat available at the community table or the bar. Side note--while scouting the bar and community table for a seat I notice a woman with a chair beside her and a purse on it, I generally assume the best in all folk, so I assume someone is sitting there. The rest of the table was fairly crowded with only single spots available. We decide to do a quick run up the street then come back since we were told it was a 45 min wait for a bar booth. When we got back, the lady and purse were still unchanged--evidently this woman thinks highly enough of her purse that it needs to occupy an entire seat on it's own in a crowded bar. How annoying. I go up and ask her if anyone is sitting there," just my purse". (Huh?) So I respond with a very respond with a very nice and friendly "Oh Thank you" and start to pull the chair around to my direction. Please. Blueberry infused Martini and the Pomegranite Cranberry Kir Royale are perfect and refreshing. I can't believe we didn't order the Calamari, it's one of our favorites. And by the way, whenever the waitstaff suggests the Bang Bang Shrimp, I want to puke. My only experience with it was a mushy, tasteless plate of muck. So instead: The Crab Corn Chowdah is tasty, rich, and creamy. The Grilled Salmon and Asparagus Salad was done very well, except for the uneven dressing distribution. The first half of the salad I ate was not dressed at all, and the second half was overly dressed with the tasty citrus vinaigrette. Then fennel is a great addition to the salad, one of my favorite flavors event though when asked I'll tell you I'm not a licorice fan. The only downside of this salad is the length of time it took to get served this dish. It's a salad, people! By 8 pm, the bar had pretty much cleared out, and the bar backs were re-stocking the wine. So we made note to avoid the 6-7 time frame and opt for a later dinner next time, cause after all, Loveland is still a sleepy little town.

    We went on a Bang Bang Wednesday. We had reservations, and were seated on time. We just had appetizers, which is what we usually do when we come here. We had the 3 Bang Bang shrimps, muscles, lobster bisque, bacon wrapped scallops, and lollipop sushi. Everything was great except for the lollipop sushi, which was just cucumber slices with tiny pieces of sushi in the middle. Service was good, but we felt like they were being rushed. Total bill for 2 with drinks was about $75 before tip.

    This restaurant already deserves three stars by default because of the location. Though the area has grown in the last few years, I still consider anything between Longmont and Ft Collins middle of nowhere. The place is apparently perpetually crowded, so one won't get in without reservations. The food is good. This is a large chain, but everything's got flavor and thought behind the recipes. The entrees are around $20, but you get a lot of food. I'd skip appetizers especially because they bring you this really wonderful warm delicious bread. I had a "cobb" salad, and it was a great value for $10 with lots of tasty chicken, large chunks of avocado and mango. Everyone else at the table had fish and all were very pleased, though agreed that the prep was a bit on the greasy side. Not a huge deal, but we never did get our salads/soups. The manager apologized profusely and told us he'd take them off the bill. We had hard time feeling grateful for not being billed for the food we never received. Not that we had any room for dessert, but I expected them to at least offer to buy us some dessert or drinks. I did not think that oversight was handled particularly well. So minus two stars for the greasier-than-needed food and not great management. Otherwise, a very decent place, especially for the location.

    Eh, ok, expensive. I'm a fish snob, as I use to work on fishing boats and am use to fresh fish. Ate at a Bonefish once in Florida and it was excellent, which is why I tried this place. I usually avoid chains, will avoid this one in the future. Wasn't worth the price and the selection of fish wasn't much for a place with fish in its name. Also seemed loud. Waiter was funny, although I don't think he meant to be, but he was nice and the favorite part of the visit. We didn't take the leftovers home.

    Great Food. Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. All you really need is the Bang-Bang Shrimp appetizer, and a bowl of the corn crab chowder. Both are excellent and make a decent meal without an entree. We drove 1200 miles to come to Loveland and to enjoy this area and this is the first place we stopped. I had the Rockfish entree which was stuffed with shrimp and lump crab meat. The fish had plenty of flavor and was prepared perfectly.

    Went here for first time last night. Got there at 6:30 and waited over an hour for a table. Split the mixed grill and it was good - mango salsa had a nice flavor and was probably my fav sauce out of the 4. Bread w/ olive oil and pesto that arrives at each table is a nice start as well. Fish was slightly overcooked - about 2 min less cooking time would have been perfect. Ordered asparagus and garlic mash potatoes - stalks on the asparagus were huge - put 2 pens side-by-side and that's about the thickness. The stand-out was the Ahi tuna - probably the best I've ever had. Drizzled along the side of the dish was a slightly spicy sauce - everything about the dish was great.

    I've been wanting to sample the Bonefish Grill chain for a while now. Tonight, I finally got my chance! The place was really busy. I spotted 3 open chairs at the bar and grabbed them for my parents and I. We decided that instead of waiting for a table, we'd just eat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly. At first, she took very good care of us. We all got salads. I got the house salad which was pretty good, but nothing spectacular, however, the fresh bread and olive oil pesto dip was great! I ordered one of the specials, which was Icelandic Wolf Fish (I think that's what it was called). It was served with wild rock shrimp and the menu described a lemon, garlic and wine sauce on top. It sounded fantastic when I read the description. However, the plate that was placed in front of me appeared as a brown glob that was drenched in butter. I couldn't tell where the potatoes started and the fish ended without just digging in and taking bites. This was also partially to blame on the extremely dim lighting. The presentation was awful. It didn't look appealing at all. The fish was cooked nicely, however it was drenched in so much butter that it killed the dish (not to mention made my stomach upset later in the evening!) and it made what should have been a light piece of fish, a heavy piece of mediocrity. My iced tea had been empty for quite a while when I started eating and was very low when our food arrived. Out of the three people that brought our food to our table, not a single one offered me a refill or even made note that my drink was nearly empty. Our bartender / waitress was nowhere to be seen. When she finally re-appeared, I tried to get her attention but I don't think she heard me. She spent so long chatting up a couple further down the bar that I actually stopped eating because I was so thirsty and started to stare at her and try to get her attention. I finally did get my iced tea, but it was really a downer that I went thirsty for so long. The other members of my party weren't very satisfied with their meals either. My father had the grouper and he said it was overcooked and dry. My mother had the corn and lump crab bisque and said it way too sweet and tasted odd for a soup like that. At least I got to scratch this place off of my list. My father said he's never eating here again. I don't think I'll be back either.

    Wow. I wasn't expecting to be blown away by a chain restaurant. The Bang Bang Shrimp, as mentioned, are completely delicious, but so is every other thing on the menu that we tried. Definitely make reservations, this place was hopping on Saturday night. Both my charming companion's fish entree and my steak entree were amazing, and cooked just right. The crab cakes were also fantastic. Tried the Key Lime Pie for dessert, only to be once again amazed. The best part? They serve Blue Bell ice cream, imported from Texas. A huge bonus. Our waiter was attentive, willing to chat, and put in our drink orders before happy hour ended but didn't bring them out until we were ready for our meal. A bit pricey and upscale, but so so worth it.

    I've never had a bad meal or bad service at Bonefish. However, the wait times at this Johnstown location can be FOREVER. Only once have we been able to get in, on a Tuesday at 5:30, and two other times we've left because the wait for a table was 60+ minutes. This isn't a problem, if they took reservations.... But when we've called ahead they said they only take a few and they are consistently gone.

    I don't care if you're a Vegetarian, the fish here is excellent. Do you like cheese? Do you like potatoes? Well then you'd be an idiot not to order the Potatoes Au Gratin as one of your sides. Excellent, although a little salty. The fish? Well being from California, I didn't expect it to be that good. Apparently they fly it in daily. I had the pistachio parmesan encrusted rainbow trout topped with artichokes, basil, and a lemon butter sauce. If that didn't make your mouth water, I don't know what will. The other choices for fish are still excellent and vary in sauces including Pan Asian, Lemon Butter, Veggie Mediterranean, and Warm Mango Salsa. The bread before hand is definitely warm and fresh, along with their nice olive oil and pesto dipping sauce. Appetizers were nice, but my favorite was the Bang Bang Shrimp. Slightly breaded with a spicy cream sauce, these babies were good! Top all this off with a nice X-Rated Passion Fruit Martini, and I will definitely go back. If you're in the area, try it. This chain is something I'm looking forward to next time I'm in town.

    For a place being pretty far away from any fresh fish source, Bonefish is really good. The bang bang shrimp was great, and our server, Matt, was very attentive and knowlegable. He recommended the chilean sea bass, which was great. We were also given wine pairings for our meals, and loved it.

    I've never had a bad experience here. Always great food (my favorite is the Chilean Sea Bass with the Chimichurri (sp?) rub). Fantastic wine list, great service. The Bang Bang Shrimp to start with and the Creme Brulee to finish.

    This is the best seafood I have had in a state without a coast. Before you go be prepared to drop some cash...I don't think anything on the menu is less than 20.00, but it is well worth it. We schedule a Bonefish meal two or three times a year and are eating our way through the menu. We love the ahi appetizer and do I even need to mention the heavenly kalamata pesto? All I can say is more, more, more! Top the evening off with one of the best creme brulee I have eaten anywhere and perhaps a bit of cognac. This is not your weekly drop into place because the groceries are gone. This is a two or three hour, sit back and delight meal.

    This is the second time we have been to Bonefish, and both times we had a very enjoyable experience. The 1st time it was just the wife and myself, this time we took our kids. Everyone found something to eat, and if you are trying to eat healthy, you can do so here with out much effort. Very nice plus. I had the grouper with the mango salsa, it was cooked perfectly and the mango salsa paired very nicely - I wish it was at least some what spicy though. My wife had the trout with the Asain sauce, she said it was very good as well - the sauce was pretty much a fancy teriyaki. This time we tried the Bang Band shrimp, my wife and my 8yr old really liked them. I thought they were OK, but nothing I would honestly go there to get. Last time we got the Wagyu Beef + Ginger Dumplings, and we both agreed they were AWESOME! I'd much rather have those, but my wife really did like the Bang Bang shrimp. Ehhh no accounting for taste (other than marrying me of course). Service both times was good, last time I remember it being exceptional, this time I remember it being good. One thing to note, this place get's BUSY!!! Don't go if your in a hurry unless you have reservations! We didn't have them on a Saturday night, but they were able to make us some a little over an hour after we called to check for call ahead (which they don't do). They got us in right on time or a few minutes early. Coming from California, we miss good fresh seafood. While Bonefish doesn't completely fill that void, it does help.

    In my experience I've never had better service anywhere. The staff was very friendly, upbeat and efficient. Whoever does the hiring - kudos to you! You know when the table conversation is directed to how good everything is that you're having one of those awesome experiences. All our personal requests to the waitress were met with a smile and pleasant conversation. We even joked around with her and what a sweetheart! Now the food...I had the Imperial Longfin Talapia and my company had the Rainbow Trout with Lemon Butter. Our appetizer was Bang Bang Shrimp per recommendation of another Yelper. All our sides were spectacular and I'm really looking forward to going back for more. Fantastic meal and I would definitely recommend. There's a reason this place is busy with the locals.

    So so so yummy!!!!!! My boyfriend and I went there tonight and we will absolutely be going back no doubt!!! Our server Telisha was so great and knowledgeable about the menu!!!! There was NOTHING to complain about at all- delicious bread- martinis- bang shrimp- and Chilean seabass yummmm! We are sooooooo making this one of our new favorite date night spots!!!

    Short: Make a reservation, food is B+, quite consistent, service B+ Long: Bonefish is close, and a great place to go with friends, provided you know in enough time to make a reservation ( which is quite easy via their website). The fist time I went, I left as it was over an hour wait. Even though I make reservations now, you still usually have to wait 10-15 min after your time. The place is always buzzing, if that's not your style I have yet to be there on a "quiet" night. The servers are knowledgeable, decent selection of beer and drinks. The food is good, always consistent and they offer some great specials but you cant go wrong with the standbys.

    Good fish! I have eaten here a couple of times previously and just writing a review. Went with a group of 4 on a week night. Pre-dinner drinks were quick and tasty. Good wine list. The fish itself is always good and tastes fresh however their side dishes/garnish have left me wanting something "more". Service has always been good although at times a bit rushed it seems.

    Bonefish is a bit of a mixed bag for me. When they respect their ingredients, their use of quality fresh fish makes for a real treat. Unfortunately, too many of their dishes are overwrought and over seasoned. I highly recommend making a reservation- you can do same day reservations up until 1 hour before they open. Without a reservation, as many said, you will be waiting an hour on a busy night. The staff at Bonefish are great. They pack people into this restaurant, and yet I was never left waiting for service or drinking out of a half empty water glass. Throughout the meal, you will spy the white-coated wait staff circling around the room, communicating with one another and their tables. Top notch service. I was not really a fan of any of their "signature" menu items. All of them were sugary or salty palate-killers that completely overpowered any other ingredients. The Cucumber Gin cocktail had so much simple syrup that it took me 2 glasses of water to get through it. The sauce for the Singapore Calamari was on the side, at least, so you could moderate how much went on your squid. As a "signature" sauce, I found it flat and one dimensional- no different than your standard sweet-and-sour sauce. My Crab and Corn chowder was better, but tasted more like a peppery white gravy than corn or crab. My wife's crab-crusted pompano was really disappointing. The seasoning in the breading combined with the burnt flavors of over-heated oil to thoroughly destroy any flavor. She could not finish more than a few bites. The moral of this story, and the reason I give them 3 stars instead of 2, is that you will be very pleased if you pick something that isn't accompanied (i.e. overpowered by smothering) with a sauce. I loved the lobster tails- they were well prepared and a great value- two large tails for twenty seven dollars. Their sides showed similar restraint- lightly seasoned rice or vegetables that highlighted the flavors rather than using them solely as a delivery vehicle for some syrupy nonsense. We will probably give Bonefish a go once more and stick to their grilled menu. If you do the same, you will be better pleased than we were.

    Maybe I'm not as picky as the rest of you, but at one time long ago I lived in both Loveland and Johnstown, and this is above fantastic for both towns! If it weren't a chain I'd give it 5 stars for both the food and the service. And I know we're not in 5 Star Restaurant territory in northern Colorado. I will say I fell in love with the Bang Bang shrimp and the crab cakes. Yummy!! I would heartily suggest you give this place a try. The food overall was really tasty and very well prepared.

    Nice place for a nice meal :) I haven't eaten anything here that I hated, so that's always a plus! My favorite main dishes are: *Lily's Chicken goat cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts, lemon basil sauce 13.7 *Atlantic Salmon 15.9 / 13.4 sm with Lemon Butter Sauce :D *Pecan Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout artichoke hearts, fresh basil + lemon butter 17.3 Favorite Sides: *Herbed Jasmine Rice *Steamed Vegetable Medley Favorite Soup: *Corn Chowder with Lump Crab Cup 5.7 Bowl 6.5 Add a cup of soup to any entrée 2.9 Wow,,, I'm getting hungry just thinking about these yummy plates!

    This has become one of my newest favorite restaurants in the Northern Colorado area. In the past, I had just been here for a drink, and while the drinks were good, I had yet to eat here. A few weeks ago we came here for dinner to celebrate my Mom's birthday. The entire meal was excellent. I had the fresh apple martini, which was one of the best martini's I've ever had. Appetizers were the Bang-Bang Shrimp and the Maryland Crabcakes. For someone who is not a huge seafood lover, I have to say that I loved the crabcakes. For dinner, I ordered the Flordia Cobb salad and it was amazing. Plenty of grilled chicken, fresh bleu cheese, it was all around delicous. We didn't order dessert, but because it was my Mom's birthday, our waiter brought our chocolate covered strawberries which were great. The waiters/waitresses here are nothing short of professional, and definitely deserve every penny of the tips they earn. My brother and I went back a couple weeks ago for dinner, and again, the meal was nothing short of amazing. This time, I had the key lime pie which was fabulous. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives in the area or who is visiting.

    This is one of the best restaurants near Fort Collins. It is huge, but even with reservations you will wait 30 minutes on a Saturday night. Great fish, mostly great apps. (avoid the "bang bang shrimp" which was doughy and mushy. Get the seared ahi tuna instead) For entree, avoid the salmon (its farmed, but you ARE in Colorado) and get any other fresh grilled fish. Ask for the sauces on the side unless you don't really like fish. Expensive ($21 entree, $13 apps.). Great waitstaff, but we've noticed that this is the norm around here.

    Great place for a date night, wouldn't really recommend for small children. Front desk / reservation staff tends to be a bit ditzy, but never had problems with the servers. Food has always been good, but on our last visit the sides came out in the shape of the spoons they dished them with. At this price range they shouldn't have the cafeteria appearance.

    I went here recently and had a great meal! I had their Baja Fish Tacos which were most excellent! In fact I might not want to eat fish tacos anywhere else unless it is here! I also had a Black Cherry Mojito which was great and can't stop thinking about it and would love to go back soon and have at LEAST one more!

    We've never sat in the dining room, and for all I can tell, we never will, we just like the activity of the bar. It was crowded, with a 45 min. wait for the bar booths, but we were invited to grab any seat available at the community table or the bar. Side note--while scouting the bar and community table for a seat I notice a woman with a chair beside her and a purse on it, I generally assume the best in all folk, so I assume someone is sitting there. The rest of the table was fairly crowded with only single spots available. We decide to do a quick run up the street then come back since we were told it was a 45 min wait for a bar booth. When we got back, the lady and purse were still unchanged--evidently this woman thinks highly enough of her purse that it needs to occupy an entire seat on it's own in a crowded bar. How annoying. I go up and ask her if anyone is sitting there," just my purse". (Huh?) So I respond with a very respond with a very nice and friendly "Oh Thank you" and start to pull the chair around to my direction. Please.
