Great, convenient stop on the way up to the mountains! I was able to swing through the drive-thru and pick up not only a fabulously comforting salted caramel mocha, but a grande-sized cup of very hot water for me to warm up a baby bottle for my munchkin in the carseat. The lady at the window was fast and friendly, and the cup of water was free of charge, which believe it or not, is not always the case! Thanks, Starbucks, for making both me and my 5-month old very happy campers!

Really? Has no one reviewed this hotspot? Starbucks isn't usually my first place to stop for caffeination (I prefer to patronize the mom and pops), but I have to remark on this particular spot because I had a celeb sighting here yesterday. Yes, while in line waiting to cash out my sister's Starbucks gift card and get some caffeine and sustenance for our drive to Steamboat, we spotted Travis Stork. Now, some of you might be saying "Who?" but I would direct you to wiki to refresh your memory. After some awkward "I'm your biggest fan" ramblings, I got back in line for a peppermint mocha and breakfast sando, and we went on our way. This location is generally always slammed with ski traffic, especially on the weekends during the season, so just be prepared to wait for whatever you order. And be patient. You might have your own Hollywood encounter. ;)

True, I usually am a fan of most SBs but when they do it right, which they mostly do, I have to give them 4 stars. They made a custom drink just right, the espresso flavor was right on. The place was busy, but clean and organized and the baristas were friendly. Genuine smiles and meaningful conversation. This SB is much newer than a nearby highway location and truly full service, with a Drive Thru, at an easy off/easy on exit. Perfect for a trip to or from the mountains for skiing or any other endeavor. This was my first time here and certainly not my last.

Worst experience ever! On our way to do a 14er, we decided to stop at this Starbucks and their hours were posted in the window and said they opened at 5am on Fridays. When we knocked on the door to be let in the employees just looked at us and gave us thumbs down. We had to sit and wait for 20 minutes until 5:30 for them to open the door. It was the worst experience ever and even unfortunate because this is a very popular Starbucks.

I order the same thing from every Starbucks I go to (Soy Chai latte). This one tasted a little strange to me, like they weren't entirely sure how to make it. Drive-thru person wasn't overly pleasant, long day I guess?

Was here with Hubs and a fren running errands in this part of the town sometime on Sunday June 26th 2011. Time was like about 10:45hrs ish. At that time, when we were there, I ordered these : * Reduced-Fat Banana Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake * Blueberry Streusel Muffin * Banana Nut Loaf * Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino® Blended Beverage I like the Strawberries & Crème Frappuccino® Blended Beverage. Though I know its has ALOT of Calories, but who cares! I think this was like the 2nd time I had this beverage from Starbucks. All in all, my "Brunch/Snack" Loot was less than $12 with tax and tips. I rarely go to Starbucks, but when I do, I like to "treat" myself. The service is prompt, inviting and friendly. The ladies bathroom, when I visit it, was kept cleaned. Yes this establishment is tiny, inside to seat but I say it can fit like about 10 to 12 seats comfortably. They also have a little patio with some seating outside. The parking space can be limited but it doable for us since we came it before the crowd. If we come back to Idaho Springs, and I need that "Starbucks" fix, I dont mind returning. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE This is my letter/email that will be going to Bobbi and on as many reviews as I can find. Dear Bobbi Schulz (Store Manager, Idaho Springs CO) I visited your location March 1 2013, roughly 2pm. I ordered a Venti White Mocha and as I watched your barista (no name tag) make my drink, I noticed she grabbed 2 wood stir sticks to stir my drink. I was appalled when I saw her thumb, index and middle finger dip knuckle deep into my drink. The wood stir sticks are not long enough and I assume the lady didn't want to use the long metal spoon that I usually see baristas use to stir drinks. If her actions stopped there with an apology and a new drink, I would have been satisfied. However, as I stumbled for the right words to avoid a scene and ease into an uncomfortable conversation, the barista rudely and with a stern loud voice says "SPEAK"! I wasn't able to finish my sentence of "I don't want to cause a problem but..." I'm 100% positive her voice was heard throughout the entire restaurant and was absolutely uncalled for. I've visited your location and other Starbucks locations many times and this was by far the worst service and display of proper hygiene I've ever seen. In my opinion, a person that believes it's ok or doesn't even notice that her fingers were submerged in a hot drink and offers such a rude comment to someone stumbling over their words shouldn't be exposed to customers much less working with consumable items. With her method of stirring Venti size drinks with wood stir sticks that are too short, how many drinks do you think her thumb and fingers have been submerged in? Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE Jeff Houghton

It's a stop on i70 and it's a Starbucks. Free wifi. Generic Starbucks caffeine fix. Lines can be long on prime ski days and returning evenings.

Love this Starbucks. Cheaper than the one up the freeway in Dumont plus if you have a registered Starbucks card you don't get your free modifiers up in Dumont either. Very friendly staff. Great stop for when your headed up or down the mountains.
