I have had Krispy Kreme. I've had Voodoo. I've had Dunkin. I've had Winchell's. I've even had Glazed and Confused... There is NO better donut than the plain glazed Lamar's original. Simply perfection. In a donut. *boom* - drops mike.

We had THE BEST SERVICE here this morning. I can't remember the young man's name, but my husband and son were in around 7 and he helped them. He was incredible with my son, and talked legos and starwars while helping him pick out donuts. We couldn't have been more impressed. Thank you!

Love the hot fresh rays glazed and my personal favorite is maple. I have tried a lot of donuts here and liked them all.

The best. I don't know how anyone could have anything bad to say about this place. I grew up eating Lamar's in Kansas City before it became a chain. It's just as good as it was back then, and it's nice to have a taste of KC since we moved to Denver.

Hands down our favorite donuts in Denver. We've had Krispy Kreme and Dunkin - meh. These are where it's at! (And don't give my the gimmicky and hipper than thou VooDoo Donuts...over rated and no interest.) The only issue with this location is that on weekend mornings it's a beyatch for parking and waiting. Still worth it!

I have been to this location twice in the last couple weeks and as far as I'm concerned the service was good for me. The other day I showed up five minutes before they opened and they open for me anyway. The other time I was there they had a problem with their credit card readers and gave me a free donut for the wait. The reason they only get three stars is because they don't have a huge selection of donuts, at least the times I was there, but the donuts they do have are good.

I'm a donut freak, grew up in KC eating Lamar's, and have been so thrilled that they have a location near me in Highlands Ranch. I'm sorry, but the glazed buttermilk bar - only available on weekends, sadly - is one of the best donuts ever made. And another thing - their plain glazed is incredible, soft and buttery, melts in your mouth. This is the way a glazed donut SHOULD be executed - other donut stores should take note.

I have been coming to this location for years with friends and family. It used to be a franchised location but as the previous owner explained to me, it just wasn't turning over enough profit. After it became a corporate location it went through a slew of management. They ended up bringing on a really young GM that I was skeptical of but he got the store running better than I had ever seen it before. Well trained and courteous staff and the donuts were better than ever. I guess they decided to sell it again as a franchise? Because ever since he left this place has gone to the dogs. Horrible customer service, the donuts aren't the same either. If anyone from the Lamar's Corporate office sees this, please do something about this store.

The boys at the counter were super friendly! The doughnut display case looked immaculate and the two doughnuts we sampled were delicious and perfect. Definitely going to try and stop by Lamars more often :)

Mediocre donuts. We had Lamars in Missouri and they rocked. We've tried this one twice now and eh both times. Service not very friendly. I guess that is why Starbucks next door is packed and here it is empty. An employee W's re arranging tables and dragging the chairs across the floor. ...grrrr...like nails on a chalkboard.

Used to come here all the time. Not sure if they recently became franchised out because the quality has definitely gone down over the last several months. The friendly staff and welcoming manager my family came to enjoy over the last year or so has all disappeared. Hispanic looking lady there- possibly the new owner?- Horrible customer service. Horrible. She handles donuts without gloves or the tissue paper on the counter. We used to come here with my son's baseball team after practice. Now myself and the other parents aren't comfortable walking in the door. The donuts are amazing but something has drastically changed here recently. They need to bring back old management or learn from the previous ownership. Will not return.

No other donuts compare! High quality every time. Great service. Great rewards program. Try asking for a custom filled donut!

Terrible service on multiple occasions. Store seems to be very mis-managed w/ inexperienced staff. Won't go back to this location again. I really like the product, and have been to other stores without any issues. Something here needs to be fixed.

Okay so either you are a doughnut lover or every now and then you cra-a-a-a-a-a-ave one. Why mess around with a something that is unsatisfying? Get the best. The people at the counter are nice and the doughnuts..... I AM ONLINE BRAGGING RIGHT???

What a great addition to the donut world. I never heard of Lamar's until I moved to Colorado. I'm pretty impressed with the donuts and coffee to say the least. Lamar's offers a large variety of donuts and coffee as well as other drinks. The staff is always friendly and the donuts are always fresh. It's kinda sad that Starbucks opened directly next door to this location. Lamar's coffee is better than Starbucks coffee anyday of the week.

Lamar's jelly donuts are great. They're like three donuts combined into one massive one. They put about a half pound of jelly filling in each donut. The finished product is as heavy as a brick. I have a hard time finishing even one of their jelly donuts for breakfast. Usually you have to save part of the donut for later in the day. They have good, quick service at this Lamar's location. The coffee was fresh too. If I lived full time in Colorado near a Lamar's, I'd come here so often, my gut would start to look like one of their jelly donuts.

New to Colorado by BF introduced me to Lamars. OMG, is all I have to say.

Great donuts. Period. I prefer them greatly over Krispy Kreme and of course the grocery store stuff. The guy working at this place when I went was very funny and helpful. I tried a few of the specialty donuts that were all perfect, and even just the simple glazed was about as good as it gets. They also seem to be bigger than your average donut. It's probably a good thing they aren't open late or I would be doing lots of late night runs and grow a few sizes more =)

Lamar's has the best donuts...love them. That said, speaking for this location, they are OFTEN out of donuts. I'd say half or a third of the time we go in there the selection is low. The other day my husband went and came back empty handed because they had so few and none that we would like. I've heard this from neighbor's who go there as well. It's frustrating for the kids to think we are making a donut run just to find the donut place didn't have many donuts. 5 stars for the donuts. 2 stars for them actually having them.
