BEWARE: The worst margarita ever had in my entire life. Terrible service. And shrip mixed with crap on the menu...what the heck?!? Not to mention, $1.50 for each chip refill. We got up and walked out of there.

I ordered the enchiladas dish, which came with 2 enchiladas, rice and beans. I asked them to sub the beef for chicken, and instead of beans, asked for extra rice. They accommodated my changes and were very friendly. Although I enjoyed their service, and the free chips and dip, I did not think the enchiladas were amazing. They were not as flavorful as I would have liked. We also ordered the sopapillas and fried ice cream. The sopapillas were delicious and sweet. And the fried ice cream was a very large portion. It was my favorite item on the menu so far.

Yuuuuuum! We are from Texas, but this place put our Mexican food to shame! We went in at 2 pm and I'm pretty sure it was the owner was a one man show. I had the chimichanga and my parents had the pork chile verde burrito. Divine. Also very clean facility - bathroom was nice although not very friendly for my 6 year old. She couldn't reach the paper towels or soap. Lol.

I made the mistake of not checking Yelp before eating at Las Palmas. This is a place to avoid. Salsa was very thin and tasteless, not spicy at all. We usually go through extra salsa when we eat Mexican food. We left 2/3 in the small bowl. DH asked for no cheese on his salad, but it arrived with cheese. My dinner was bland and overly greasy. We asked about the margaritas and were told it's all pre-mixed. Very little choice. So we had bottled beer instead.

We haven't eaten in in five years because it was not nearly as good as the other Mexican places in town. Because it hasn't gone out of business we decided to try it again to see if it has improved. It hasn't. My husband was running a few minutes late so I asked the waiter when I was seated to give me ten minutes so my husband had time to get there. Instead he got chips and salsa and asked me right away if I was ready to order. In the next ten minutes he asked seven more times. Finally I ordered for my husband before he arrived just to get the waiter to leave me alone. This chips were better than I remembered, but the salsa was worse. It was spicy, but flavorless. When our meal arrived we asked for about half a basket more of chips to eat with our rice and beans. The waiter informed us that only one basket was included and if we got half of another he would have to charge us full price which was nearly $2. I did not see anything in the menu indicating this. We passed. The food came out and was extremely small portion sizes. I got an a la carte cheese enchilada for $4. It was 2 inches long by 1 inch wide, literally 2 bites. I also had a chimi which was decent size. There was no create your own combo and the menu states no substitutions or exchanges and despite my asking for alternate meat all chimis come with a mix of beef and chicken. I assumed this to mean mixed together. Instead the left half was beef and the right was chicken. It was okay. The beans however were scorched and the rice was also dry. My husband had the special which was a seafood burrito plate. There were two very small burritos about the size an enchilada usually is. The was very little seafood in it. After our food was delivered the waiter decided to give us the time I had asked for at the start. He never came back. Our water glasses sat empty, he never removed the chip basket, etc. We finished our food, stacked our plates and waited. I decided to use the bathroom while my hubby waited for the check. It was okay, neither super clean nor totally nasty. Then when I was finished and was ready to flush, I discovered the flusher was broken off. I played with the broken handle for several minutes before I finally get a partial flush. Then several minutes later a second partial flush which at that point I deemed good enough. I washed my hand and returned to the table. The waiter had still not come. We waited about half an hour before the manager brought us our ticket. Then we realized it was just a total so we waited at length for a breakdown of the charges as the bill seemed very high. Finally my husband went and knocked on the kitchen door and the manager came out showed us the ticket which listed the prices of the food, but did not break down subtotal, tax, and grand total. I got out a calculator to determine the pretax amount for the tip. The manager was very upset that I took to long to calculate the totals and never offered to let me use his calculator, nor did he volunteer the tax rate to make it easier. We left determined not to eat here again. We decided it has to be the tourists in the summer that keep this place open. It was Friday night and there was only us and two other tables. I got there at seven and we left after nine (thanks largely to waiting so long for the ticket, twice). Not great for date night crowds. There are better places in town. Next time we will go the Anejo. It is far superior to this.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
