Part tasty Greek food, part Twilight Zone episode, The Paragon is a true anomally. The moment you step through the large wooden doors into the murky dining area, you feel as though you've discovered the diner time forgot. Alas, you sit and stay amongst the geriatrics. No need to browse the plethora of greasy diner fare your fellow patrons are gumming down. You came for the Gyros. You order the salad, NOT the cottage cheese. You order the soup, NOT the juice . When your Gyro platter arrives, you're shocked at the massive pile of meat and feta cheese. In the end you realize that the old credo is true: Don't judge a nicotine-stained, mothball-smelling, dust-covered book by it's cover.

The Paragon needs a HUGE update. The atmosphere is not a clean pleasant one. This place looks to be falling apart, from the ceiling to the carpets. The booths are so worn out, when you sit down you go through the seat. You sink so low that your face is even with the table top. This restaurant is dirty, un kept, the staff seem less than happy to be serving the customers. They are not open many days or for very long. I had a hamburger that was under cooked, and the french fry's were soft, not crispy. People need to feel comfortable, wanted, and invited into a place for customers to want to go back. Which, I will not be doing.

I like the paragon. Nothing fancy just good food. My 94 year old aunt likes to eat here and she is not a fan of eating in restaurants. I usually get the gyro pita salad. I have not had a salad anywhere else that is as fresh. The lettuce is always crisp and the pita bread warm and soft. The salad is huge. Takes me a while to eat it and that is perfect because my little aunt likes to take her time with her meal.

We have eaten at Paragon only infrequently. Until recently, we had only gone for diner. The diners were alright, with some genuine Greek flavorings. One waitress was taken aback when I told her that I did not care for the sauce she recommended. Most recently we went in for Sunday lunch. I had a sandwich that was average, but you know what, average is still good, just not excellent. The waitresses were different from the ones that waited on us before. During the meal, our waitress came to the table and, looking up through the window near us, asked us how our meal was. I answered. Neither speaking to us or listening to us, did she deign to look at us. That sort of behavior makes me wonder if something is being hidden from me The waitresses were dressed casually. A bright uniform or something that would show they are waitresses, would be nice. It being Sunday, there were a lot of seasoned citizens. How odd to point out an age category of paying customers. Some of the customers we saw were over 60 years of age. Some were between 40 and 60. One couple were in their 20s. The waitresses were between 25 and 35. Age is not a static substance. Age is a passage. An old person is one who has more experiences (and wisdom). .A younger person is one who has more ambition (and future potential). I'm happy to eat with them all. I like children, having been one myself, and I like oldsters, expecting to be one myself. I am not certain how to interpret a restaurant's quality based on the average or median age of its customers. There must be some kind of correlation, but I don't know what it is yet. As for specifics, my coffee was yucky. It might have been setting in the pot too long, or it just might be bad coffee. My sandwich was totally unexciting. The biscuits and gravy my companion had were terribly tame. We had American dishes this time, which weren't worth the price. So next time, we'll go back to the Greek cuisine. That had more character and better flavors.

The service we got here was amazing. Our server's name was Maria, I believe. She was so much fun, joking and chatting with us throughout the whole meal. Even if the food was mediocre, I'd go back just to visit with her some more. The food was wonderful though. Very big portions for a really good price! I will definitely be back again.

I personally never liked the place, it seems old, out of date, the dishes are always dirty, the salad they do give you is old lettuce and brown, the place is just a dive.

Don't care for the variety and bland food here. The atmosphere also feels awkward, like you are just bothering them.

The food is good. The breakfast portions are huge. Service was a little slow but they have a very friendly wait staff. The restaurant is old and dingy. The bathroom was disgusting. Don't go in there. It will turn you away.. The owners need to pay more attention to this detail.
